00:00:08.460 Huge news today on this Friday afternoon, the corrupt Biden administration,
00:00:12.740 so desperate as the House investigators are closing in on Joe Biden,
00:00:17.000 that they have just blown up a decade of Biden, Marxist-Dim, and deep state corrupt acts
00:00:22.560 and massive serial cover-ups. Today, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed David Weiss
00:00:28.840 as special counsel on the Hunter Biden case. Merrick Garland is the most corrupt AG in American
00:00:34.980 history. He made his announcement this afternoon at a 1215 Eastern Time press conference. He says
00:00:41.540 he appointed Weiss the special counsel after Weiss requested it this past Tuesday. Here he is.
00:00:47.980 Good afternoon. I'm here today to announce the appointment of David Weiss as a special counsel,
00:00:54.000 consistent with the Department of Justice regulations governing such matters. In keeping
00:00:59.560 with those regulations, I have today notified the designated members of each House of Congress
00:01:04.660 of the appointment. In February 2018, after being nominated by the former President and confirmed
00:01:11.840 by the Senate, Mr. Weiss was sworn in as the United States Attorney for the District of Delaware.
00:01:17.060 Mr. Weiss had been a career prosecutor, having served previously in the office for more than a
00:01:24.140 decade. Beginning in 2019, Mr. Weiss, in his capacity as U.S. Attorney and along with federal law
00:01:31.220 enforcement partners, began investigating allegations of certain criminal conduct by, among others,
00:01:38.320 Robert Hunter Biden. That investigation has been recently referenced in federal criminal proceedings
00:01:44.500 in the District of Delaware. And as noted in those proceedings, and other public statements by Mr.
00:01:50.520 Weiss's office, that investigation remains ongoing. In February 2021, U.S. Attorney Weiss was asked to
00:01:59.740 remain as U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware and, in that capacity, to continue to lead the
00:02:05.760 investigation. As I said before, Mr. Weiss would be permitted to continue his investigation,
00:02:11.580 take any investigative steps he wanted, and make the decision whether to prosecute in any district.
00:02:18.800 Mr. Weiss has told Congress that he has been granted ultimate authority over this matter,
00:02:25.320 including the responsibility for deciding where, when, and whether to file charges,
00:02:31.760 and for making decisions necessary to preserve the integrity of any prosecution,
00:02:36.040 consistent with federal law, the principles of federal prosecution, and departmental policies.
00:02:43.920 In a July 2023 letter to Congress, Mr. Weiss said that he had not, to that point, requested special
00:02:51.880 counsel designation. On Tuesday of this week, Mr. Weiss advised me that in his judgment, his investigation
00:03:00.120 had reached a stage at which he should continue his work as a special counsel, and he asked to be so
00:03:07.280 appointed. Upon considering his request, as well as the extraordinary circumstances relating to this
00:03:13.720 matter, I have concluded that it is in the public interest to appoint him as special counsel.
00:03:20.020 Special counsels are supposed to be outside government, impartial, above reproach. David Weiss is the
00:03:26.580 opposite. The former U.S. attorney who buried the case against Hunter Biden for five years,
00:03:32.480 who gave Hunter Biden the sweetheart deal that the courageous federal judge Mary Ellen Norica
00:03:38.100 blew up. An outrageous deal that David Weiss had engineered. Because of Judge Norica's inquiry,
00:03:46.880 the unscrupulous corrupt deal was exposed to the public. How corrupt is Biden and Garland? In my opinion,
00:03:53.760 this is such an obvious abuse of power, an attempt to cover up years of corruption and a desperate
00:03:59.920 move to derail the House investigations that I believe the public will be so outraged the Republicans
00:04:06.640 will now have no other choice but to impeach President Joe Biden. Here is legal scholar Jonathan
00:04:14.060 Turley on the appointment of David Weiss. He says Garland waited to appoint Weiss until the statute of
00:04:20.500 limitations had run out. I was not surprised, but I was not nearly as delighted as I would have been
00:04:27.840 two years ago when many of us were calling for this appointment. They waited for the appointment of
00:04:33.740 a special counsel after the statute of limitations has run on critical crimes like the tax violations in
00:04:42.480 2014-2015. They waited until Weiss himself was accused of slowing or suppressing efforts. At least the whistleblower suggested
00:04:55.600 that he was not able to pursue cases and didn't aggressively push back on that. So there's going to be a lot of
00:05:01.880 questions here. This is occurring as Congress is moving aggressively to pursue some of these issues. This new status can
00:05:11.260 certainly slow that process down. Weiss was at the top of the list of Congress to be brought in to explain
00:05:18.940 why did you allow the statute of limitations to run? Why were Biden people tipped off about raids? Why was
00:05:26.920 there an interference with investigators in trying to interview Hunter Biden? All of those questions are now
00:05:34.800 likely to be so likely to be delayed before they are answered. The other thing that I noticed was not in this
00:05:41.380 announcement was a special counsel to look into the Biden corruption scandal. He referred to Hunter Biden once
00:05:48.700 again. Garland has constantly been carefully framing this issue as only Hunter Biden. Exactly. Congress is looking at a
00:05:58.640 much broader and more significant corruption scandal here. A special counsel would be useful in pursuing that. But that doesn't
00:06:07.440 sound like the mandate that Merrick Garland just gave Weiss.
00:06:12.320 And a Marxist judge in another case sides with President Trump. Judge Tanya Chutkin today in a
00:06:19.840 hearing about issuing a protective order against President Trump said the special counsel's case for
00:06:26.120 the protective order fell short and said, however, quote, Mr. Trump, like any American, has a right to free
00:06:33.260 speech. But that right is not absolute. That's right. She sided with President Trump, but still managed to
