The Great America Show - Mid-Day Update： August 18, 2025

00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fosu. This Great America Show midday update for Monday, August 18th. Happy

00:00:05.440 Monday, folks. President Trump meeting with Vladimir Zelensky, the president of Ukraine,

00:00:10.000 this morning, along with many other European leaders. President Trump told reporters in the

00:00:14.900 Oval Office that he's planning to call President Vladimir Putin following his meeting with Zelensky

00:00:19.580 and he hopes to schedule a trilateral peace summit with himself, Putin, and Zelensky.

00:00:25.280 President Trump says if that trilateral meeting happens, it's a pretty sure deal that there'll

00:00:29.840 be able to end this thing once and for all. If it doesn't, he's not so optimistic. So we'll have

00:00:34.960 to see how this meeting plays out and if they do wind up convening. Trump says it's very simple.

00:00:41.400 He just wants the killings to stop. Take a listen. We want to get this war ended. That's all I can do.

00:00:47.780 I love the Ukrainian people, but I love all people. I love the Russian people. I love them all.

00:00:52.600 I want to get the war stopped. 0.95

00:00:54.260 Mr. President, was there any aspect of your discussion with Vladimir Putin that left you

00:01:03.080 disappointed?

00:01:04.740 Look, we just spoke to, I was just telling the president, I just spoke to President Putin

00:01:11.780 indirectly and we're going to have a phone call right after these meetings today. And we may or

00:01:17.260 may not have a trilateral. If we don't have a trilateral, then the fighting continues. And if we do,

00:01:22.640 we have a good chance. I think if we have a trilateral, there's a good chance of maybe ending

00:01:25.880 it. But he's expecting my call when we're finished with this meeting.

00:01:31.500 Simple equation for President Trump. As I said, he just wants the killings to stop.

00:01:35.740 During that press conference, President Trump took some questions from the media and he was asked about

00:01:40.600 a tweet that he put out earlier in the morning that he's going to get rid of mail-in ballots and

00:01:45.800 election machines. Perhaps before the 2026 midterm elections, President Trump says we can't have

00:01:52.000 democracy if we have these machines. Take a listen.

00:01:54.960 I pushed out on social media about doing away with mail-in ballots and potentially electronic

00:02:01.060 voting machines. Can you explain on that and how important that is?

00:02:02.900 Well, that's a very off topic, just really quickly. Mail-in ballots are corrupt. Mail-in ballots,

00:02:08.660 you can never have a real democracy with mail-in ballots. And we, as a Republican Party,

00:02:15.600 are going to do everything possible that we get rid of mail-in ballots. We're going to start

00:02:20.080 with an executive order that's being written right now by the best lawyers in the country

00:02:24.040 to end mail-in ballots because they're corrupt. And do you know that we're the only country

00:02:31.880 in the world, I believe, I may be wrong, but just about the only country in the world that

00:02:35.940 uses it because of what's happened? Massive fraud all over the place. The other thing we

00:02:40.520 want change are the machines. For all of the money they spend, it's approximately 10 times more

00:02:48.640 expensive than paper ballots. And paper ballots are very sophisticated with the watermark paper

00:02:53.000 and everything else. We would get secure elections. We'd get much faster results. The machines,

00:02:58.300 I mean, they say we're going to have the results in two weeks. With paper ballots, you have the results

00:03:02.640 that night. Most people almost, but most people, many countries use paper ballots. It's the most secure

00:03:09.840 form. So between paper ballots, very, very important, paper ballots, and I think maybe even more

00:03:17.780 important, the mail-in voting, we're going to end mail-in voting. It's a fraud. If you have mail-in

00:03:23.920 vote, even Jimmy Carter with this commission, they set it up. He said the one thing about mail-in voting,

00:03:29.340 you will never have an honest election if you have mail-in. And it's time that the Republicans get

00:03:34.220 tough and stop it because the Democrats want it. It's the only way they can get elected because with

00:03:41.020 men and women's sports and with transgender for everybody and open borders and all of the horrible 1.00

00:03:46.780 things. And now the new thing is they love crime. They're fighting me on the fact that I've made

00:03:52.920 Washington, D.C. safe. We're not going to get mugged, beaten up, or killed like all the people

00:03:58.560 you've been watching get so badly hurt. I'm glad, I hate to take your time on this, but I'm glad you

00:04:04.980 asked me that question. We're going to stop mail-in ballots because it's corrupt. You know, when you go to

00:04:11.620 a voting booth and you do it the right way and you go to a state that runs it properly, you go in,

00:04:17.420 they even asked me, they asked me for my license plate for identity. I said, I don't know if I have

00:04:22.340 it. They said, sir, you have to have it. I was very impressed actually. But it's very hard to cheat

00:04:28.000 with mail-in voting. As you know what happens in California, it's so corrupt where some people get

00:04:34.240 five, six, seven ballots delivered to them. Now we got to stop mail-in voting and the Republicans

00:04:39.420 have to lead the charge. The Democrats want it because they have horrible policy. If you have

00:04:44.660 mail-in voting, you're not going to have many Democrats get elected. And there you have it,

00:04:48.820 President Trump doing, I think, just about what every American, at least the Americans who are in

00:04:53.580 favor of truth, justice in the American way, wanted. Get rid of the machines and get rid of the mail-in 0.51

00:04:58.520 ballots so that elections can be fair for both Republicans and Democrats. It's not just for Republicans,

00:05:04.100 it's for all candidates. Speaking of the Marxist Dems, the Texas Democrats who fled the state,

00:05:10.040 remember that dramatic little walkout to block the Republicans' redistricting plans, have announced

00:05:14.600 their return, ending a two-week standoff and paving the way for the GOP to pass a new congressional map

00:05:20.600 that strengthens conservative representation and does it honestly, a way that the Marxist Dems

00:05:26.140 can't do it. So we can expect another special session to be called in the coming days.

00:05:31.480 And the House Oversight Committee has withdrawn a subpoena for Robert Mueller, former special

00:05:36.540 counsel, the Russian collusion man. They withdrew that subpoena for him for what they call health

00:05:43.640 reasons. Now, we reported last week that Mueller is living in an assisted living home to treat his

00:05:50.440 mental decline. So it could have something to do with that. Folks, please be sure to join us tonight

00:05:55.780 for The Great America Show, 6 p.m. Eastern time. Rumble YouTube, Twitter, wherever you join us,
