00:00:05.820 President Trump tearing into once again Senate Republicans and their obstruction of his judicial and U.S. attorney nominees,
00:00:13.380 denouncing the blue slip tradition as unconstitutional and a roadblock that has effectively handed the confirmation process over to the Democrats in key states.
00:00:23.660 The blue slip practice currently functions as an informal veto power for home state senators.
00:00:28.180 The current Senate Judiciary Committee policy requires positive blue slips from both home state U.S. senators
00:00:34.880 as the nominee receives a committee hearing and a potential vote.
