00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Foster with this Great America Show midday update for Friday, January 1st.
00:00:05.460 Happy Friday, everybody. We made it through yet another week in America.
00:00:09.640 And boy, has it been an eventful one. It's been an eventful one since January 20th,
00:00:13.540 the swearing-in of President Donald J. Trump as 47.
00:00:18.340 RFK Jr., Cash Patel, Tulsi Gabbard, all on Capitol Hill this week for their confirmation hearings.
00:00:24.320 Tulsi Gabbard and Cash Patel not taking much, not holding back much from the March systems.
00:00:29.160 RFK Jr., another one who's refusing to allow these Marxist Dems to try and tear them apart.
00:00:36.960 RFK was asked by none other than socialist Bernie Sanders about not taking money from health care companies.
00:00:43.480 Now, why would a secretary of HHS be taking donations from health care companies?
00:00:48.420 Doesn't make much sense, right?
00:00:50.060 But take a listen to socialist Bernie Sanders and his exchange with RFK Jr.
00:00:54.080 I'm going to make America healthier than other countries in the world right now.
00:00:59.580 Bill, you're guaranteed to do what every other major country does.
00:01:03.280 It's a simple question about it.
00:01:04.300 And by the way, Bernie, you know, the problem of corruption is not just in the federal agencies.
00:01:11.580 It's in Congress, too.
00:01:13.000 Almost all the members of this panel are accepting, including yourself, are accepting millions of dollars from the pharmaceutical industry.
00:01:20.680 Oh, no, no, no, no.
00:01:21.620 And protecting their interests.
00:01:23.460 Oh, I thought that that would come.
00:01:25.980 No, no, no, no, no.
00:01:27.340 I ran for president like you.
00:01:29.220 I got millions and millions of contributions.
00:01:33.140 They did not come from the executives.
00:01:35.540 Not one nickel of PAC money from the pharmaceutical industry.
00:01:38.620 In 2020, you were the single largest receiver of pharmaceutical money.
00:01:46.900 Because I had four contributions from workers all over this country.
00:01:50.260 Workers, not a nickel from corporate PACs.
00:01:53.620 Bernie, you were the single largest acceptor of pharmaceutical dollars.
00:01:57.440 No, from workers in the industry.
00:01:59.100 1.5 million.
00:02:00.760 Yeah, out of 200 million.
00:02:03.000 All right.
00:02:03.520 But you have not answered.
00:02:06.320 Last question.
00:02:06.840 Bernie Sanders taking a beating from RFK Jr., not being able to defend the 1.4, over 1.4 million dollars that Bernie Sanders got from 2019 to 2020.
00:02:19.480 Of course, being the highest paid senator by the pharmaceutical industry.
00:02:24.280 First is Bernie Sanders at 1.4.
00:02:27.320 Second, Elizabeth Warren, go figure at 800,000. 0.99
00:02:30.660 Third, another Democrat, Mark Kelly.
00:02:32.900 Sanders was also the second largest recipient of pharmaceutical or health product donations in 2016, receiving nearly a half a million dollars.
00:02:41.900 These Marxist Dems and these socialists just can't seem to keep up with their lies.
00:02:46.620 And the outgoing DNC chair is having some buyer's remorse, we'll say, saying Democrats should have stuck with Joe Biden in 2024.
00:02:54.000 In an interview with the Associated Press, Jamie Harrison reflected on why his party lost to Donald Trump and what might have happened if then-Vice President Kamala Harris had more time to campaign about him after Biden decided he was going to bow out of the race.
00:03:08.200 Well, he wasn't bowing out of the race, really.
00:03:10.140 I think he was forced out of the race.
00:03:11.840 He also offered advice to his eventual successor, who will be chosen this Saturday, tomorrow.
00:03:15.820 The next DNC chair, Harrison said, needs to insist the party not be a rubber stamp to its presidential candidate.
00:03:23.000 But that's exactly what the Marxist Dems are.
00:03:24.900 Just a bunch of rubber stamps and a bunch of Marxists who go along and do whatever their puppet masters tell them.
00:03:31.620 Folks, speaking of rubber stamps and Marxist Dems, Chuck Todd, the notoriously biased former host of Meet the Press, has finally been shown the door, making a significant moment in the mainstream media.
00:03:43.700 Todd, who has been a figure of controversy and criticism, particularly from conservative viewers, for his overly biased reporting, announced his departure from the network to pursue independent projects, including his podcast.
00:03:56.240 Todd's exit comes after he was replaced by another far-leftist commentator, Kristen Walker, in 2023, which significantly reduced his appearances on the network since then.
00:04:05.160 And if people didn't watch Chuck Todd on Meet the Press, on NBC, on, you know, your national television where you could just flip a channel, I'm pretty sure the smart American folks aren't going to go out of their way to tune into his podcast.
00:04:18.040 But that's just my humble opinion.
00:04:20.540 And the clock is running out for Canada and Mexico.
00:04:24.280 Tonight at midnight, Mexico and Canada, we're going to be hit with 25% trade tariffs.
00:04:29.900 Oil could be next.
00:04:31.140 President Trump showing us all, he's playing no games with these two nations, and as he continues to try to make America great again, Trump's saying, quote,
00:04:39.240 this tariff will remain in effect until such a time as drugs, in particular fentanyl, and all the illegal aliens stop the invasion of this country. 0.93
00:04:47.160 Trump has also dismissed worries about import taxes on United States trading partners, and it would have a negative impact on the domestic economy.
00:04:54.280 Trump says we don't need the products that they have anyway.
00:04:57.120 We have all the oil you need, we have all the trees you need, meaning lumber.
00:05:01.420 President Trump, continuing to make America great again.
00:05:05.780 And some news out of that, rancid and corrupt FBI.
00:05:08.960 Senior FBI leaders are directed to leave as the Trump administration takes over.
00:05:13.980 CNN is citing sources briefed on the matter, reporting at least six individuals in senior positions within the agency are facing the ultimatum.
00:05:21.260 Resign or be fired.
00:05:23.440 The senior officials are the executive assistant, director level, or special agent in charge level, and include those who oversee cyber, national security, and criminal investigations.
00:05:34.060 Some were notified while Cash Rattel, the president of Donald Trump's pick to lead the agency, sat down answering questions from senators for his confirmation hearing this week.
00:05:42.600 Making America great again.
00:05:44.240 Making the FBI great again.
00:05:46.260 Two great things for this country.
00:05:47.800 Folks, please be sure to join us for today's episode of The Great America Show.
00:05:51.500 We're joined by New York City radio host, Rich Valdez.
00:05:55.180 We take up the DEI culture, the plane crash in Washington, D.C., and the course that America's on right now and where we're heading.
00:06:03.700 Folks, join us for that today only on The Great America Show.
00:06:06.580 I'm John Fossett with this midday update.
00:06:08.860 I hope you folks are all having a great day and a wonderful Friday.
00:06:11.720 We'll be right back.
