Meanwhile, Iran's Persian Gulf Strait Authority has announced that all ships of the Strait of Mersuz have to pay insurance approved by Tehran, despite the agreement to allow completely toll-free shipping in the strait. The U.S. military is back on its feet going after drug smuggling boats in the Indo-Pacific, and 3 people have been killed in an attack on a boat carrying drugs in the Eastern Pacific. Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to renew a ceasefire in southern Lebanon after a flareup overnight between the two, as a memorandum of understanding between the U. S. and Iran faces its new tests.
