Trump no longer has to post $454 million bond. Former RNC Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel makes her debut on Meet the Press. President Trump calls Judge Engron a "disgrace to the state of New York" and says he will post $175 million bond within 10 days.
00:00:00.000Hello everybody, this is John Fawcett with the Great America Show Midday Update for Monday, March 25th.
00:00:05.920A New York appellar court ruled today that President Trump no longer has to post that $454 million bond by tonight at midnight.
00:00:12.460The court instead slashed that number by almost a third, ordering that President Trump now has to post a $175 million bond within 10 days.
00:00:21.060President Trump thrilled by the news and spoke to the press after his court hearing.
00:00:24.160He said what Judge Arthur Engron did to him and his organization should have never happened and should never happen to another person in this country ever again.
00:00:32.460Thank you very much. Judge Engron has done a terrible disservice to the state of New York.
00:00:38.100What he's done is terrible. Businesses are fleeing. You see that? We just released a statement on truth.
00:00:45.160Businesses are fleeing and crime is merging all over the state and what he's done is such a disservice and should never be allowed to happen again.
00:00:54.160New York State is being battered by his decision. So I greatly respect the decision of the appellate division and I'll post either $175 million in cash or bonds or security or whatever is necessary very quickly within the 10 days.
00:01:13.160And I thank the appellate division for acting quickly.
00:01:17.400But Judge Engron is a disgrace to this country and this should not be allowed to happen. Thank you very much.
00:01:24.160The $175 million bond is still in excess of the norm, however.
00:01:27.980To put it in perspective, Bernie Madoff, who defrauded 37,000 victims, running the largest Ponzi scheme in the history of this country, only had to post a $10 million bond.
00:01:37.660And rhino Ronna Romney McDaniel made her debut on Meet the Press this weekend, or as we refer to them here on the show as Meet the Marxist.
00:01:44.700The fellow Marxists on the network were not happy to see her.
00:01:46.980Take a listen to mourning Joe and Mika this morning, whining about it all, vowing to ban her from their show, and asking NBC to reevaluate even hiring her in the first place.
00:01:57.660Let's talk about the hiring of former RNC chair, Rhonda McDaniel.
00:02:04.140Well, she was on Sunday's Meet the Press.
00:02:07.020It was her first appearance since NBC News hired her as a political analyst.
00:02:12.800I know you won't be surprised to know that we've been inundated with calls this weekend, as have most people connected with this network, about NBC's decision to hire her.
00:02:24.400We learned about the hiring when we read about it in the press on Friday.
00:02:29.400We weren't asked our opinion of the hiring, but if we were, we would have strongly objected to it for several reasons, including, but not limited to, as lawyers might say,
00:02:40.840Ms. McDaniel's role in Donald Trump's fake elector scheme and her pressuring election officials to not certify election results while Donald Trump was on the phone.
00:02:52.360To be clear, we believe NBC News should seek out conservative Republican voices to provide balance in their election coverage.
00:03:02.260But it should be conservative Republicans, not a person who used her position of power to be an anti-democracy election denier.
00:03:12.180And we hope NBC will reconsider its decision.
00:03:16.200It goes without saying that she will not be a guest on Morning Joe in her capacity as a paid contributor.
00:03:23.880And Ronna certainly did not disappoint on her debut.
00:03:26.560She was asked about President Trump pardoning those January 6th political prisoners if he takes office again.
00:03:32.320And take a listen to what she had to say.
00:04:50.040Rhino Ronna wants those poor January 6th political prisoners to just sit in jail and rot and take the abuse from a corrupt Justice Department.
00:05:19.960The parallels from the 90s to today about the Justice Department and the corruption that they are spewing upon us as Americans is grotesque.
00:05:29.500And this documentary really sheds a light on it.
00:05:32.420This is John Fossett with The Great America Show Midday Update.
