00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fossett with this Great America Show midday update for Monday, March 9th.
00:00:04.700 Happy Monday, folks. I hope you all had a great weekend.
00:00:07.320 President Trump over the weekend issuing a massive major threat to anybody in the House, to anybody in the Senate.
00:00:15.640 President Trump says he will not sign any bills into law until the Safeguard America Vota Eligibility Act is passed,
00:00:22.660 also known as the SAVE Act, by the Senate, doubling down on his push to change the voting requirements
00:00:27.900 ahead of the midterm elections to secure the elections for the American people.
00:00:32.960 President Trump writing on Truth Social, quote,
00:00:35.820 I, as president, will not sign other bills until this is passed, and not the watered-down version, go for the gold,
00:00:42.600 must-show voter ID and proof of citizenship, no availing ballots, except for military, illness, and disability.
00:00:49.440 President Trump in a Truth Social post over the weekend,
00:00:53.460 President Trump putting the pressure on RINO Senate Majority Leader John Thune,
00:00:57.140 telling him, get rid of the filibuster and pass the bill,
00:01:01.200 which already passed the House back in February, multiple times, actually.
00:01:05.740 The filibuster would force Democrats to speak continuously on the Senate floor to delay the vote on the bill,
00:01:11.180 but if they cede the floor, the Republicans can circumvent the need for the 60-vote majority
00:01:14.880 and pass the measure with just 51 votes.
00:01:18.780 It's time for RINO John Thune to get his head out of the sand and get to work.
00:01:25.000 Well, folks, if you're getting ready to travel or if you have been traveling,
00:01:28.440 airports across the country are in disarray thanks to the Marxist Dems and their shutdown of the DHS.
00:01:34.620 In mid-February, Congress failed to pass funding legislation,
00:01:38.300 resulting in a partial shutdown of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
00:01:42.360 Funding of the DHS expired on February 13th, affecting agencies like TSA,
00:01:47.820 a federal emergency management agency, also known as FEMA,
00:01:50.720 the Coast Guard, and cybersecurity operations.
00:01:53.220 Democrats in Congress have refused to support funding bills without reforms,
00:01:58.040 which rein in Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, Customs and Border Protection,
00:02:02.620 citing concerns over aggressive deportation tactics,
00:02:06.100 and incidents like the killing of two Americans by federal agents in Minneapolis.
00:02:10.320 House Speaker Mike Johnson ripping the Marxist Dems for prioritizing politics over national security,
00:02:16.520 especially amid the heightened threat from the ongoing U.S.-Iran conflict,
00:02:20.400 which Operation Epic Fury is still going.
00:02:24.320 As we're told, sleeper cells are all throughout America.
00:02:27.540 It seems the Democrats don't really care about that because they just want to hurt President Trump,
00:02:32.980 but in turn, they're going to hurt the American people,
00:02:35.760 which, like I said, it seems they don't really care.
00:02:38.960 NATO is getting into the action, folks.
00:02:40.760 For the second time in a week, NATO forces have intercepted Iranian missiles entering Turkish airspace.
00:02:46.860 As the military conflict between U.S.-Israel and Iran progresses into an even more brutal conflict,
00:02:53.400 the Islamic regime of the Mullahs continues to strike everywhere around it, friend or foe. 0.94
00:02:57.820 They don't care. 1.00
00:02:59.300 These people are psychopaths. 1.00
00:03:01.580 As much as the civilian leadership apologizes for the attacks on neighboring countries, 0.99
00:03:05.420 nothing has really changed.
00:03:07.380 Now even NATO member Turkey has started to get targeted.
00:03:10.740 They're going after their own people, another Muslim nation. 1.00
00:03:15.200 And these idiots, I don't think it's going to end too well for them. 1.00
00:03:19.780 Speaking of that, Donald Trump didn't mince words about the chaotic regime in Tehran, 1.00
00:03:24.240 issuing a blistering warning to Iran's, quote, new supreme leader,
00:03:28.620 following the historic joint U.S. operation that's been taking place,
00:03:32.700 which took out the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
00:03:34.740 Iran's leadership conference and crisis began after Ali was, we'll say, taken out by that airstrike.
00:03:43.780 At least 40 other senior Iranian regime leaders were also killed in those strikes.
00:03:48.460 Within days, Iran's clerical establishment moved to consolidate powers,
00:03:52.880 announcing that his son, Motaba Khamenei, who's 56 years old,
00:03:56.920 would take over the country's most powerful position.
00:03:59.320 President Trump says anybody who's taking over that country must be approved by him
00:04:04.600 and the United States to assure that the right things are going to happen in Iran
00:04:10.180 and it's not going to continue to be a terrorist-breeding nation,
00:04:14.140 sending terrorists all over the world to do harm on just about everybody.
00:04:18.740 And the seventh soldier killed in Operation Epic Fury has been identified.
00:04:22.780 The Pentagon announcing this afternoon,
00:04:25.500 it was announced yesterday that a seventh had passed away.
00:04:30.060 The fallen hero identified as 26-year-old Sergeant Benjamin Pennington
00:04:34.300 died from wounds following an attack on U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia on March 1st.
00:04:40.600 We pray for him, folks.
00:04:41.780 We pray for his family and everybody involved.
00:04:45.600 Any life lost is just a total, total tragedy.
00:04:48.680 And all we can do is pray, you know,
00:04:53.780 that these people are resting peacefully for their families who have to deal with it.
00:04:57.980 Please be sure to join us, folks, each and every day, 6 p.m. Eastern Time
