The Great America Show - Mid-Day Update： May 29, 2026

00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Friday, May 29th.

00:00:04.200 Happy Friday, folks. I hope you're all ready for the weekend, as much as I am.

00:00:07.860 Acting Attorney General Todd Blanch today confirming that nobody is above the law.

00:00:13.380 Delivering the clearest message yet from Trump's Justice Department.

00:00:17.040 Political accountability is meaningless when billions in taxpayer dollars,

00:00:20.980 it's meant for vulnerable people like children and people with diseases or elderly medical care,

00:00:26.880 could have been looted. He says that nobody's above the law and real accountability means

00:00:33.400 arrests, prosecutions, and jail time, including possible people who are still in elected office

00:00:40.880 like Ilhan Omar or Governor Tim Walz. Take a listen.

00:00:45.100 It's not enough of a form of accountability for the people out there that are having

00:00:48.540 thousands, millions, hundreds of millions of dollars stolen from them through fraud.

00:00:53.420 Yes, that's right. So here's how we talk about accountability. We talk about

00:00:56.540 arrests, we talk about prosecutions, we talk about jail sentences, and that's what we're doing at the

00:01:02.100 Department of Justice. We're working with inspector generals, FBI, DHS, and HSI agents, and just a few

00:01:08.000 examples. A jury convicted a Florida man of over a billion dollars in Medicare fraud just last week.

00:01:15.060 There was a man sentenced in Minnesota to 41 years in prison for fraud, and these cases are

00:01:22.700 fraud of the worst kind. Fraud against our most needy or the people who deserve the money the

00:01:27.040 most. Children who need money for their lunches when they're at school. Elderly who are having

00:01:32.720 all kinds of medical procedures done in their name when they're not even asking for them.

00:01:36.220 And this is money coming from the federal government. It's your tax dollars. It's my

00:01:39.540 tax dollars. The only way we can hold them accountable is by putting them in jail.

00:01:44.200 Does that include politicians? I know that we're in the investigative process and I know that

00:01:48.320 your answer to me probably will be you need to let the investigation play out. But if this lands

00:01:53.940 and this can be proven that politicians were in some way culpable overseeing it, negligent in some

00:02:00.360 way, political accountability just isn't enough for the American people. That's consistent with

00:02:06.380 the president's absolute directive to his Department of Justice. It does not matter if

00:02:11.200 you're a politician or if you're a fraudster from Somalia. We cannot tolerate it. And Governor 1.00

00:02:15.960 waltz is a great example he has done nothing done nothing but sue us okay sue the department of

00:02:22.120 justice for trying to get records to understand the fraud happening in his state okay so that is

00:02:26.660 that is his reaction to us trying to save the government's money and recover against fraudsters

00:02:31.820 is filing lawsuits against us there you have it folks tim waltz ilan omar at a minimum

00:02:37.020 pure negligence at a maximum possibly being complicit in the crime in the cover-up and in

00:02:44.840 the robbery of tens of millions of dollars president trump and his efforts to deliver

00:02:50.840 justice for victims of wrongful prosecutions by the department of justice now on hold thanks to

00:02:56.300 a marxist dem activist judge u.s district judge leone brinkema of the eastern district of virginia

00:03:03.280 was appointed of course by former president bill clinton temporarily blocking trump from setting

00:03:07.520 up this 1.8 billion dollar fund to compensate victims of the deep state earlier this week

00:03:13.980 president trump revealed that they would be fighting back against those political persecutions

00:03:19.880 some of the people involved january sixers or people of the first trump administration

00:03:26.580 like former acting attorney general jeff clark who became victims of the rogue biden justice

00:03:33.820 department some promising news today from cbs news cbs news editor-in-chief continues draining

00:03:39.160 the woke swamp at the long compromised sunday news program 60 minutes 60 minutes for years

00:03:45.860 repeatedly targeting conservatives and president trump one-sided hit pieces after the next while

00:03:51.640 giving the democrats and their allies soft white glove treatment shows credibility of course

00:03:56.940 collapsed further after the disastrous kamala harris interview that triggered major lawsuits

00:04:02.180 and exposed his activist bend barry weiss who famously walked away from the new york times over

00:04:07.100 its radical leftward launch and their cancel culture is now applying that same standard over

00:04:12.080 at CBS. Under the new SkyDown's Paramount ownership, Weiss was brought into mandate

00:04:17.240 for actual viewpoint diversity. Weiss announcing this week she's replacing veteran executive

00:04:23.380 producer Tanya Simon, a 30-year fixture at the program and daughter of legendary correspondent

00:04:28.780 Bob Simon, with Nick Bilton, who's a tech journalist, former New York Times columnist

00:04:33.720 and documentary filmmaker with zero experience in traditional broadcast news now folks that may

00:04:39.760 just be what CBS News needs I mean President Trump wasn't a politician before getting into

00:04:45.380 politics maybe that's exactly what they need in order to start bringing accountability to start

00:04:50.620 bringing change to these rogue organizations yet to be seen but we'll have to wait and see
