00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Tuesday, October 15th.
00:00:06.000 Bidonomics is not just hurting the ordinary American in their pocket, it's now hitting retail giants.
00:00:11.960 Retail giant Walgreens announces they will close down 1,200 stores nationwide to help stem billions in losses.
00:00:18.720 According to CEO Tim Wentworth, the move is part of a $1 billion cutting spree and a restructuring effort
00:00:24.500 after the company reported a $3 billion loss in the last quarter.
00:00:28.440 However, Wentworth insisted that any serious turnaround would take some time.
00:00:33.000 In June, Walgreens announced their plans that they would close a significant number of underperforming stores by 2027,
00:00:39.240 although today's update marks the company's first specific project on how many locations will be shut down, a lot sooner than expected.
00:00:46.760 Walgreens isn't the only one having trouble.
00:00:49.300 Convenience store giant 7-Eleven, which all of us probably frequent every now and then,
00:00:53.600 says they will be closing 400 underperforming stores in the U.S.
00:00:56.800 The company says the move comes as consumers pull back due to inflationary pressure.
00:01:02.220 There's Bidonomics for you folks.
00:01:04.500 They're hurting Americans, they're hurting retailers, and it's not good for the country.
00:01:09.120 And Border Patrol agents have had enough of the Biden-Harris immigration policy.
00:01:14.040 Border Patrol agents announcing this week that some of them may leave in droves if Vice President Kamala Harris wins in November,
00:01:20.220 with multiple agents telling the New York Post that they cannot face four more years of being undermined and scapegoated.
00:01:26.620 One agent saying, quote, 0.99
00:01:28.060 I'm not doing this shit again. 1.00
00:01:29.900 Four years of hell, end quote. 1.00
00:01:32.020 Another agent saying, quote,
00:01:33.640 Lots of guys will retire.
00:01:35.160 If Trump wins, they will stay, end quote.
00:01:38.440 On Monday, the Border Patrol Union and the National Border Patrol Council endorsed former President Donald Trump.
00:01:43.380 The Border Patrol has suffered massive turnaround and plummeting morale under the Biden-Harris administration, agents are saying.
00:01:50.840 The agency has shed more than 4,000 personnel since October of 2020, leaving about 19,000 employed.
00:01:57.660 The federal government is in such a meltdown that they're offering recruitment incentives from 10,000 up to 30,000
00:02:03.600 and encouraging retired agents to return back to work.
00:02:07.960 Go figure.
00:02:08.620 I don't know anybody in their right mind who would go work at the Border Patrol with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as commanders.
00:02:16.180 Be sure to join us for today's episode of The Great America Show.
00:02:19.280 We're joined by brilliant Republican strategist Roger Stone.
00:02:22.300 With 20 days until Election Day, we break down what exactly is going on.
00:02:26.460 Kamala Harris is losing support among key voter groups, including the blacks.
00:02:30.900 They've had enough of her. 0.99
00:02:32.200 They're over the identity politics, and they want to hear a straight shooter in President Trump.
00:02:36.440 And that's why he's polling so well among so many people.
00:02:40.020 Be sure to join us for that today on The Great America Show.
00:02:42.120 I'm John Fawcett with this midday update.
00:02:44.300 Have a great day, folks.
