00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Wednesday, October 16th.

00:00:05.520 Elon Musk putting his money where his mouth is.

00:00:08.100 The tech mogul who's the world's richest person has pledged more than $70 million

00:00:11.760 to helping Donald Trump and other Republicans win this November's election,

00:00:16.340 making him one of the biggest donors to the GOP cause this season.

00:00:20.120 This according to the campaign finance disclosures released this week.

00:00:24.020 Musk made the donation over the summer to the America PAC,

00:00:26.800 a super political action committee he launched in May to aid Trump in his bid to return to the White House.

00:00:32.980 Musk saying, quote, the America PAC is just aiming for common sense, centrist values.

00:00:38.580 Some good swing state polling news for President Trump this week,

00:00:42.480 and this is after Elon Musk has dumped some money into Pennsylvania

00:00:45.680 trying to get people to get out and vote there for President Trump.

00:00:49.120 President Trump is now up three points in Pennsylvania over Kamala Harris,

00:00:52.700 according to latest polling from Rasmussen.

00:00:54.500 The poll shows that Trump is gaining support in the Keystone State.

00:00:58.540 In September, both Trump and Harris were tied at 48.

00:01:01.660 Trump now leads 50 to 47.

00:01:04.640 And Vice President Kamala Harris faces another critical moment in her campaign today

00:01:09.040 when she will sit down for an interview with Fox News.

00:01:12.320 Kamala sat down with Brett Baer, who's a bit of a rhino, if not a Democrat at Fox News,

00:01:17.320 for this interview that's obviously been pre-recorded,

00:01:20.260 but it will air tonight at 6 p.m.

00:01:21.780 We'll see if we see any of those same edits we saw during her 60-minute interview.

00:01:26.560 I'm not entirely sold that Fox News has better journalistic integrity than 60 minutes.

00:01:32.100 I think we probably put them both at the same level.

00:01:34.920 And President Trump is heading back to Pennsylvania this weekend,

00:01:37.760 and no, it's not just for a campaign rally.

00:01:40.320 President Trump says he will visit a McDonald's in the swing state of Pennsylvania on Sunday

00:01:44.540 and, quote, work the fry cooker.

00:01:46.980 President Trump, in his excellent sense of humor, says he's going to head to McDonald's

00:01:51.160 to work the job that Kamala Harris says she allegedly worked, 1.00

00:01:54.800 even though that some people are saying it's not exactly true that Kamala ever worked there.

00:01:59.320 Who knows what comes out of her mouth?

00:02:00.680 It usually lies, so I guess we'll never know.

00:02:03.500 Be sure to join us for today's episode of The Great America Show.

00:02:05.820 We're joined by brilliant economist John Lonsky.

00:02:08.440 He says we're slipping into a bit of a recession under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

00:02:12.000 Join us for that in the full discussion and much more today on The Great America Show.

00:02:16.400 I'm John Fawcett with this midday update.

00:02:18.520 Have a great day, folks.
