00:00:00.000 I'm Lou Dobbs with this Great America Show midday update.
00:00:03.980 Tensions in the Middle East are rising.
00:00:06.380 Iran is warning time is up for Israel, whatever that means. 0.59
00:00:10.780 More bluster from the Ayatollah, who had previously warned the Iranians would attack Israel preemptively. 0.77
00:00:17.820 That was days ago.
00:00:19.240 The presence of two U.S. aircraft carrier strike forces in the eastern Mediterranean,
00:00:24.760 giving Iran every reason to slow down. 0.96
00:00:27.320 President Biden meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu.
00:00:31.400 To me, it was a sad and dispiriting event.
00:00:33.980 As Biden whispered as he read from note cards,
00:00:37.480 the Prime Minister obviously uncomfortable but patient with Biden's dismal effort
00:00:41.740 to appear at least normal, if not presidential.
00:00:45.720 Biden blaming what he called, quote, the other team, end quote.
00:00:50.040 He was referring to the Hamas terrorists for the explosion that killed hundreds at a Gaza hospital.
00:00:55.960 The Israeli Defense Force is releasing video of a Palestinian Islamic Jihad launch of rockets
00:01:03.480 and one of them misfiring and clearly seen from the launch video.
00:01:08.740 Congressman Jim Jordan is plainly displeased with the political games being played by
00:01:13.460 Communist Dem Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and the screwball rhinos in the Republican conference 0.99
00:01:20.320 who are holding out their votes.
00:01:22.380 Here's Comrade Jeffries attacking Jim Jordan.
00:01:26.780 Have you heard anything from the Republican side,
00:01:30.060 any members over the last couple of days that have come to you guys calling for a bipartisan compromise
00:01:34.380 or looking to work with you on that?
00:01:36.180 There have been ongoing informal conversations that have been undertaken over the last few days.
00:01:42.740 I think there's a possibility those can accelerate now that Jim Jordan clearly does not have the votes to be Speaker.
00:01:52.680 For good reason, Jim Jordan is the poster child for MAGA extremism.
00:01:59.280 He is a clear and present danger to our democracy.
00:02:03.560 There are many good men and women on the Republican side of the aisle
00:02:07.860 who are qualified to be the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
00:02:12.380 There is no circumstance where Jim Jordan is one of them.
00:02:15.920 You would think that every Republican would support Jordan after listening to Jeffries' insults.
00:02:21.980 Jordan has every reason to be put out.
00:02:24.140 The election has so far taken one day.
00:02:26.220 There's been only one vote on the Speakership, and some of the rhino daffodils are whining. 0.99
00:02:32.440 But it took four days and 15 votes to negotiate and elect Kevin McCarthy, Speaker, back in January.
00:02:39.800 Some suggesting even giving Speaker Pro Tem Patrick McHenry, he's the fellow with the bow tie,
00:02:46.460 more powers to handle the Speakership until it can all be resolved.
00:02:50.740 Jim Jordan said, fine, bring the McHenry resolution to a vote,
00:02:54.540 and then bring the Speakership vote for Jordan,
00:02:58.420 who's clearly disgusted with the bow tie faction of the rhinos
00:03:02.220 and the Marxist Dems who, if they win in this, will surely shut down the Biden investigations,
00:03:08.820 and that would be a disaster.
00:03:11.460 But these rhino factions don't really care. 0.94
00:03:15.080 Our guest today on The Great America Show is Congressman Bob Good
00:03:18.100 on what's happening in the election for Speaker.
00:03:20.800 Please join us for that and more.
00:03:22.740 Join us each and every day.
00:03:24.540 I'm Lou Dobbs with this Great America Midday Update.
