00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fossett with this Great America Show midday update for Monday, October 20th.
00:00:04.620 Happy Monday, folks. A busy weekend for the Marxist Dems as they held their No Kings protests, rallies, whatever you want to call them.
00:00:12.700 In big cities across America, the Marxist Dems forgot that we elected Donald Trump back in November and there's no king and Donald Trump doesn't see himself as a king and nobody sees Donald Trump as a king.
00:00:23.660 Just a great American leader. President Trump was asked about it last night upon boarding Air Force One to head back to Washington, D.C. Here's what he had to say.
00:00:33.540 I think it's a joke. I looked at the people. They're not representative of this country.
00:00:38.360 And I looked at all the brand new signs made for, I guess it was made for by Soros and other radical left lunatics. 0.61
00:00:45.240 It looks like it was. We're checking it out. The demonstrations were very small, very ineffective. 0.84
00:00:51.000 And the people who were whacked out, when you look at those people, those are not representative of the people of our country.
00:00:57.220 Mr. Custer, besides San Francisco...
00:00:59.440 By the way, I'm not a king. I'm not a king. I worked my ass off to make our country great. That's all it is. I'm not a king at all.
00:01:06.820 The deranged Marxist left, they can hold whatever rallies or protests they want.
00:01:11.000 They can dye their hair whatever color they want. 0.88
00:01:13.080 And they can make as many obscene signs with obscene sayings on them or go ride bicycles in Portland naked like they've done.
00:01:21.120 It's not going to change the fact that Donald Trump is still the president of the United States.
00:01:25.240 And best of all, he's still their president.
00:01:27.720 Now, President Trump not allowing this to stop him or slow down his administration.
00:01:31.340 Hosting a meeting today with the prime minister of Australia.
00:01:35.140 President Trump sending markets booming as he announced he's going to meet with the leaders of China.
00:01:42.440 And he expects to have a trade deal done with them. Take a listen.
00:01:45.980 I think when we finish our meetings in South Korea, China and I will have a really fair and really great trade deal together.
00:01:54.220 I want them to buy soybeans.
00:01:55.880 They stopped buying our soybeans because they thought that was punishment. 0.58
00:01:58.720 And it is punishment to our farmers, but we're not going to allow that to happen because I made a great trade deal with China, a $50 billion trade deal.
00:02:07.820 And they were great about it.
00:02:09.540 They were doing everything that they were supposed to do.
00:02:11.580 And then when Biden came in, you know, I used to call President Xi all the time to say thank you or you're not buying enough.
00:02:18.800 In other words, they were supposed to buy Biden.
00:02:21.500 Do you think Biden never called him?
00:02:23.160 I don't think Biden never called him.
00:02:24.660 You think Biden lied awake at night thinking about trade with China?
00:02:28.240 He didn't know what he was doing. 0.99
00:02:29.860 He was an incompetent president. 0.96
00:02:31.220 We had an incompetent president, but you don't have that anymore. 0.87
00:02:34.420 So I think we're going to end up having a fantastic deal with China.
00:02:37.900 It's going to be a great trade deal.
00:02:39.540 It's going to be fantastic for both countries.
00:02:42.000 And it's going to be fantastic for the entire world.
00:02:44.600 As I said, the news of President Trump meeting with the leaders of China, sending markets soaring today, making the stock market great again.
00:02:52.740 James Comey, former disgraced FBI director, his problems may be getting a little bit worse.
00:02:58.240 Federal prosecutors are now signaling they may remove James Comey's attorney, Patrick Fitzgerald, as his lead counsel because of his involvement in former FBI director's leak of classified information to the media through Daniel Richman.
00:03:12.260 A grand jury, of course, in the Eastern District of Virginia, indicted FBI director James Comey last month, indicted on two counts, false statements, and obstruction of a congressional proceeding.
00:03:21.820 If convicted, James Comey is facing up to five years in prison.
00:03:25.260 Prosecutors are suggesting that Comey's attorney, Fitzgerald, who's a close friend of Comey's, could have an insurmountable conflict of interest as a result of the disclosures of the information that he had leaked.
00:03:36.780 And some more bad news for the Marxist Democrats, as if the bad news doesn't ever stop for them.
00:03:43.820 We're in the longest government shutdown now in the history of this country because of the Marxist Democrats and Chuck Schumer.
00:03:50.060 Well, now that the No Kings rally is over, we'll see if Schumer decides to open the government back up.
00:03:54.980 But nonetheless, bad news for the Democrats.
00:03:58.260 Polling, horrible for them.
00:03:59.820 But the latest numbers out today, House Republicans had a record-breaking fundraising hole in the third quarter, bringing in $24 million from July through September.
00:04:10.380 Of that, $14 million arrived in September alone.
00:04:13.820 For greater perspective, the NRCC raised $9.3 million in September in 2023, the previous off year.
00:04:21.380 In 2023's third quarter, the NRCC raised $18.5 million.
00:04:26.020 This is big news, folks.
00:04:27.800 The Democrats are getting absolutely killed.
00:04:30.860 So in all, the NRCC raised $93 million this year and has $46 million cash on hand as it gears up for key swing state races across the country.
00:04:40.680 Now, let's hope the Republicans and the NRCC spend that money the right way and not spend it on other candidates like we've seen in the past,
00:04:50.560 wasting the money, throwing away chances for the 2026 midterm elections.
00:04:54.960 We'll have to see and hope Mike Johnson keeps his foot on the gas and endorses the right people.
00:05:00.700 Folks, please be sure to join us tonight, 6 p.m. Eastern Time for The Great America Show, 6 p.m. Eastern Time.
00:05:05.340 We'll see you there for The Great America Show.
00:05:06.840 I'm John Fossett with this Midday Update.
00:05:08.760 Have a great day, everybody, and happy Monday.
00:05:10.560 We'll see you there for The Great America Show.
