00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fossett with this Great America Show midday update for Monday, March 10th.
00:00:04.980 Happy Monday, folks. I hope you all had a great weekend. You're ready to start your week like I am.
00:00:09.720 Marxist Dems doing all they can and cheering as much as they possibly can for a recession.
00:00:15.360 For Donald Trump to fail, for the U.S. economy to fail.
00:00:18.920 Now, these are American people. These aren't foreigners. These are Americans.
00:00:22.400 They're our mainstream media. They're the Marxist Dems that surround us.
00:00:26.740 It's many of these people. They're cheering for Donald Trump to fail, which means that we all fail,
00:00:32.940 which means the U.S. economy fails and the world economy fails because they all fall in line with the U.S. economy.
00:00:38.820 Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was on with none other than NBC's Meet the Press.
00:00:45.240 I call it Meet the Marxist, honestly, because that's what it is.
00:00:48.080 Kristen Welker, concerned there's going to be a recession. Take a listen.
00:00:52.580 Kerry, consumer sentiment is dropping. Inflation has ticked up. Major banks like J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs now say a recession in the next 12 months is becoming more likely.
00:01:05.840 Should Americans brace for a recession?
00:01:10.560 Absolutely not.
00:01:12.120 Anybody who bets against Donald Trump, it's like the same people who thought Donald Trump wasn't a winner a year ago.
00:01:18.460 Donald Trump is a winner. He's going to win for the American people.
00:01:22.180 That's just the way it's going to be. There's going to be no recession in America.
00:01:26.180 What there's going to be is global tariffs are going to come down because President Trump has said, you want to charge us 100 percent?
00:01:32.980 We're going to charge you 100 percent.
00:01:34.600 And you know what they say? They say, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:01:36.700 Don't charge us 100 percent. We'll bring ours down.
00:01:39.360 We'll unleash America out to the world, grow our economy in a way we've never grown before.
00:01:45.960 You are going to see over the next two years the greatest set of growth coming from America as Americans.
00:01:51.640 You saw it, 1.3 trillion of new investment coming in America.
00:01:55.720 Think of all those jobs.
00:01:57.540 And remember, each trillion of investment in America is 1 percent of growth GDP.
00:02:02.820 So Donald Trump is bringing growth to America.
00:02:05.580 I would never bet on recession. No chance.
00:02:09.360 Folks, that's no dumb man. That's Howard Lutnick, as I said, the Commerce Secretary, former CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald. 0.98
00:02:16.100 You guys remember probably Cantor Fitzgerald, the firm that lost an overwhelming majority of their staff in the horrific attacks of 9-11.
00:02:25.460 Howard Lutnick, a great man taking care of the families of those people.
00:02:28.840 But as you hear him, the optimism in his voice, it's the optimism, I think, in all of us who support Donald J. Trump, who support America.
00:02:36.440 Because this isn't a matter of supporting or not supporting Donald J. Trump.
00:02:40.400 It's a matter of supporting America and these Marxist Dems, of course, rooting against America because that's what they do.
00:02:47.200 President Trump, his fight for Greenland, he's not giving up.
00:02:51.360 President Trump is vowing to invest billions of dollars into Greenland and create new jobs if the Greenlanders decide to join the United States.
00:02:59.620 President Trump saying, quote, as I made clear during my joint address to Congress, the United States strongly supports the people of Greenland's right to determine their own future.
00:03:08.340 We will continue to keep you safe as we have since World War II.
00:03:11.600 We are ready to invest billions of dollars and create new jobs and make you billions of dollars.
00:03:17.860 President Trump, as I said, not giving up his fight for Greenland, and we'll see how that plays out.
00:03:24.780 The Department of Government Efficiency, under, of course, Elon Musk, has identified more than $300 million, ready for this, in COVID-era loans that were granted to children.
00:03:36.020 You folks better go check your children's piggy banks and see if there's some spare chains laying around in there.
00:03:41.220 According to Doge, they have identified that Small Business Administration, the SBA, granted almost 5,600 loans between 2020 and 2021 for $312 million to borrowers at the time of the loan listed as the owners of 11 years old.
00:03:57.920 Folks, you can't make this stuff up.
00:03:59.760 As I said, if you've got kids or you've got grandkids, go check the piggy banks because they might not have told us something.
00:04:05.680 And Canada, moving from one Marxist to the next, the Justin Trudeau era is coming to a close, with the governing Liberal Party selecting former central banker Mark Carney as its new leader and the eventual Prime Minister, soon to see.
00:04:22.540 The contest for the next Prime Minister from the Marxist side of the parties in Canada came to a close last night, Carney winning almost 86% of the vote.
00:04:30.780 Carney bested former Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Chrystia Freeland at 8%, former Cabinet Minister Karina Gould at 3.2%, and businessman and former MP Frank Bayless at 3%.
00:04:45.440 So, we'll see what happens next with Canada.
00:04:49.220 Perhaps demonstrating a lack of enthusiasm, the approximate 400,000 Liberal members who registered to vote in the leadership contest,
00:04:56.200 it's being reported that just 152,000 of them actually voted.
00:05:02.640 So, now we'll wait and see which direction the country of Canada is going to head down.
00:05:07.420 Are they going to head down further Marxist left or try to find somebody on the right who will lead that country into a golden era,
00:05:17.160 much like we're going to have here in America in due time with President Trump as our leader and our commander-in-chief.
00:05:22.960 Folks, please be sure to join us each and every day, twice a day, of course, for The Great America Show and The Great America Show midday updates right here.
