00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Tuesday, March 11th.
00:00:05.140 Happy Tuesday, folks. Hope your days are off to a great, great start.
00:00:09.420 Tom Holman, President Trump's board czar, he wants to step up the deportations, he wants to step up the raids.
00:00:15.940 Tom Holman this week announcing he wants at least 200 workside checks every single week.
00:00:22.980 200 workside checks to go through businesses and see which migrants are criminals.
00:00:27.220 I mean, they're all criminals at the end of the day for breaking the law and sneaking into this country. 0.78
00:00:32.620 But he's looking for violent offenders, people with criminal records, criminal backgrounds, as part of his and President Trump's deportation efforts in America.
00:00:43.640 A new report out says close to 20 million illegals live across the United States today, along with hundreds of thousands of U.S.-born children to illegal aliens.
00:00:53.420 According to a new study from FAIR, the Federation for American Immigration Reform, almost 19 million illegal aliens reside inside the United States today.
00:01:02.960 An 11% increase from the nearly 17 million estimated to be living in the U.S. as of June of 2023.
00:01:09.780 Since their December 2020 estimate, the illegal alien population in the United States has grown by over 4 million, or 28%, reflecting an unprecedented wave of illegal immigrants during the Biden administration.
00:01:23.640 Now, these are just the numbers that they're able to get, we'll say, over the counter.
00:01:28.020 It doesn't account for the ones who sneak into this country that go under the radar, or the Biden administration allowed to sneak under the radar.
00:01:35.060 And while we're on the topic of the corrupt Biden regime, the Biden regime spent apparently at least a trillion dollars, a trillion dollars with a T, on diversity, equity, and inclusion, DEI-related initiatives a watchdog group has found.
00:01:51.140 A study by the function of government initiative, the FGI, and the Center for Renewing America, the CRA, entitled DEI spending in the Biden administration, found a staggering amount of funds allocated by such programs, which typically involve discriminating against groups, seen as excessively privileged in favor of racial or sexual minorities.
00:02:11.980 During the Biden presidency, the federal government implemented equity action plans, also known as EAPs, which served as blueprints for embedding DEI across all federal agencies.
00:02:22.820 While framed as an effort to remove barriers from, quote, marginalized communities in areas like procurement and grants, they instead fueled a surge in DEI spending, diverting resources from core agency missions.
00:02:34.580 The Biden regime, the study came from the Biden regime over over 460 programs across 24 government agencies that diverted the resources to those DEI initiatives.
00:02:45.800 As I said, at least a trillion dollars was infused with DEI principles.
00:02:51.480 Unbelievable, folks.
00:02:53.420 And they wonder why they keep talking about overhauling entitlements.
00:02:58.180 If we just cut a little bit from a lot of bit that the government was wasting on all this nonsense, we might not have to even touch entitlements such as Social Security and Medicaid with the fraud that we're seeing and the levels we're seeing across the government between USAID and DOGE and all these things that are coming out.
00:03:18.520 I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case and entitlements might be OK to stay with no changes.
00:03:25.240 An EPA chief, Lee Zeldin, has canceled 400 DEI and environmental justice grants, saving, ready folks, nearly $2 billion.
00:03:36.000 In a press release on Monday, the EPA said the grants were canceled with the assistance of none other than DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency.
00:03:44.580 The grants are reportedly identified across nine unnecessary programs with a total of nearly $2 billion.
00:03:50.400 This marks the fourth round of EPA-DOGE partnership cancellations as the administration oversees a line-by-line review of spending, bringing the total taxpayer dollars saved to more than $2 billion since being sworn in.
00:04:05.720 To think, folks, the Marxist Dems hate Elon Musk and they hate Donald Trump and they hate America, apparently.
00:04:13.240 If they don't want to cut the bloat and cut the fat out of government spending, it makes you wonder why.
00:04:19.940 What are they so worried about?
00:04:21.840 What are they so worried about us finding out?
00:04:24.880 In Ontario, Canada, their premier Doug Ford announced that a 25% surcharge would be applied to electricity exports to the United States in response to President Trump's planned tariffs on Canada and Mexico.
00:04:37.260 In a press release from the office of the premier, it was revealed that the 25% tariffs on the export of electricity would begin this week.
00:04:46.260 Roughly 1.5 million homes and businesses in such states as Minnesota, New York, and Michigan would be affected.
00:04:53.940 I'll tell you what, folks in Canada, it's a losing proposition and you guys aren't going to make it out of this thing alive if you think you're going to be playing this game.
