The Great America Show - Monday Update： April 7, 2025

00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Foss with this Great America Show midday update for Monday, April 7th.

00:00:05.820 Happy Monday folks, I hope you all had a great weekend and you're ready to start your weeks.

00:00:11.020 The RINOs are at it again, looking to of course sabotage President Trump and his America First agenda. 0.96

00:00:18.060 The latest you ask? Well RINO Congressman Don Bacon, you guys may remember him from the impeachment days,

00:00:24.320 is looking at introducing legislation to sabotage President Trump's tariff authority.

00:00:30.980 Take a listen to the RINO on Deface the Nation over the weekend.

00:00:35.580 And I enjoyed listening to Senator Cantwell. I support the legislation that Senator Grassley, Senator Cantwell,

00:00:41.020 we have total seven Republicans in the Senate, and I have some beginning support on the House side,

00:00:46.840 which we'll unveil tomorrow. It will be harder to pass this in the House, no doubt.

00:00:51.060 I think if we get 60 votes in the Senate, they'll put pressure on the House to look at this.

00:00:55.500 And if we continue to see the stock market go a certain direction, or if we see inflation or unemployment shift in a bad way,

00:01:04.120 I think then this bill becomes a very viable bill. So it will not pass tomorrow, or maybe in the next couple weeks.

00:01:11.520 But this will be in the queue that we can use, and it's time that Congress restores its authorities here.

00:01:17.580 In the Constitution, it's clear. The House and the Senate, Congress, has the power of tariffs and taxes.

00:01:24.500 And we gave some of that power to the executive branch, and I think, in hindsight, that was a mistake.

00:01:30.000 The RINOs never cease to amaze us, to amaze the American people, or the Republican Party. 1.00

00:01:38.360 So also on CBS's Deface the Nation with that numbskull, Margaret Brennan. 1.00

00:01:43.100 The woman has a double-digit IQ. She had Howard Lutnick on over the weekend, and she had some wild accusations to make towards Mr. Lutnick. 1.00

00:01:52.540 Take a listen to this woman and just how dumb she really is. Take a listen. 1.00

00:01:57.900 When we saw the president stand in the Rose Garden holding up that chart that you helped make, that wasn't actually tariffs.

00:02:04.620 That was actually confusing to investors because it was some kind of other formula, and the countries themselves seemed kind of random.

00:02:13.260 Like, why are the Heard and McDonald Islands, which don't export to the United States and are quite literally inhabited by penguins,

00:02:20.780 why do they face a 10% tariffs? Did you use AI to generate this?

00:02:25.880 No. No, the idea, look, the idea is there are no countries left off.

00:02:33.600 Because the idea, what happens is, if you leave anything off the list, the countries that try to basically arbitrage America go through those countries to us.

00:02:44.020 Any country, like we had tariffs, the president put tariffs on China, right, in 2018,

00:02:50.440 and then what China started doing is they started going through other countries to America.

00:02:54.820 Right.

00:02:55.180 They just built through other countries through America.

00:02:57.560 And so the president knows that. He's tired of it, and he's going to fix that.

00:03:02.500 So basically he said, look, I can't let any part of the world be a place where China or other countries can ship through them.

00:03:10.720 So he ended those loopholes, these ridiculous loopholes, and now what he's trying to say is,

00:03:16.620 I'm going to fix the trade deficit of the United States of America.

00:03:20.880 It's a national security issue. We need to make medicine. We need to make semiconductors.

00:03:25.340 We need to make ships. We need to have steel and aluminum. 0.59

00:03:28.300 Come on. We need the greatness of America to actually be built in America,

00:03:32.420 and he's tired of getting ripped off by the rest of the world.

00:03:35.760 The Marxist Dems, the Rhinos, they're all the same.

00:03:39.260 Now, folks, if you don't think the tariffs, which they've only been in place now for just a few days on these nations,

00:03:45.140 if you don't think they're working, I ask you, what about those 50 countries have made calls to the White House so far?

00:03:52.840 And that's in addition to some of these folks who have initiated on social media and through their sources

00:03:59.660 that they want to make a deal with President Trump.

00:04:02.320 Some of those nations are who are looking to maybe pull their own tariffs off and begging for mercy from President Trump.

00:04:08.840 Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, India, Australia, and Israel.

00:04:17.760 Speaking of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu will be meeting with President Trump today in the White House.

00:04:22.020 Those are just the latest nations to signal that they are in favor of maybe lifting their own tariffs off on America.

00:04:29.920 President Trump, on his way back to Washington, D.C. last night, was asked aboard Air Force One about the pain in the stock markets

00:04:39.000 because the stock markets are taking a little bit of a hit from this, as Wall Street doesn't like uncertainty.

00:04:45.700 Take a listen to President Trump.

00:04:47.940 Is there pain in the market at some point?

00:04:50.800 You're unwilling to tolerate this idea of what Trump put?

00:04:53.360 Is there a threshold? 1.00

00:04:54.240 I think your question is so stupid. 1.00

00:04:56.960 I mean, I think it's a, I don't want anything to go down, but sometimes you have to take medicine to fix something. 1.00

00:05:03.800 And we have such a horrible, we have been treated so badly by other countries 0.99

00:05:11.320 because we had stupid leadership that allowed this to happen. 1.00

00:05:15.220 They took our businesses, they took our money, they took our jobs, 1.00

00:05:18.760 they moved it to Mexico, they moved it to Canada, they moved a lot of it to China,

00:05:24.100 and it's not sustainable, we're not going to do it.

00:05:26.500 Now we have hundreds of millions of dollars that's pouring into our country on a monthly basis.

00:05:32.740 It's pouring, it's already started because they put tariffs on it.

00:05:36.400 And eventually it's going to straighten out and our country will be solid and strong again.

00:05:41.320 President Trump gets it, folks.

00:05:42.860 The mainstream media, the rhinos, the Marxist stems, none of them do.

00:05:46.340 But you know what? They'll learn, I think eventually.

00:05:49.700 It's been a few years since President Trump entered the political realm.

00:05:54.080 They still haven't learned.

00:05:55.260 Maybe this time around they'll finally get it and they'll be in favor of America and America first. 0.86

00:06:00.140 Maybe not. I guess we'll see.
