00:00:04.200 August 11th. Happy Monday, folks. It's Liberation Day in Washington, D.C. President Trump says it's

00:00:11.100 time to take back our Capitol. President Trump announcing this morning in a press conference

00:00:15.240 that he's invoking Section 740 of the D.C. Home Act, federalizing D.C. police and sending in the

00:00:21.520 National Guard. Take a listen to President Trump earlier this morning. I'm announcing a historic

00:00:26.520 action to rescue our nation's Capitol from crime, bloodshed, bedlam and squalor and worse.

00:00:35.580 This is Liberation Day in D.C. and we're going to take our Capitol back. We're taking it back

00:00:42.000 under the authorities vested in me as the President of the United States. I'm officially invoking

00:00:48.200 Section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act. You know what that is? And placing the D.C.

00:00:55.640 Metropolitan Police Department under direct federal control and you'll be meeting the people that

00:01:01.660 will be directly involved with that. Very good people, but they're tough and they know what's

00:01:10.860 happening and they've done it before. In addition, I'm deploying the National Guard to help reestablish

00:01:17.280 law, order of public safety in Washington, D.C., and they're going to be allowed to do their job

00:01:22.920 properly. Now, the D.C. police union, all in favor of President Trump, allowing these folks,

00:01:27.740 these great men and women who represent that city in uniform, to finally do their jobs. The union,

00:01:35.180 as I said, all for this move. President Trump says it's not just about the crime. It's also about

00:01:39.460 getting the homeless and disgust off the streets. Take a listen. We're going to be removing homeless

00:01:45.480 encampments from all over our parks, our beautiful, beautiful parks, which now a lot of people can't

00:01:52.220 walk on. They've been very, very dirty, very, got a lot of problems. But we've already started that.

00:02:00.660 We're moving the encampments away, trying to take care of people. Some of those people,

00:02:07.480 we don't know how they even got there. Some of those people are from different countries,

00:02:11.820 different parts of the world. Nobody knows who they are. They have no idea, but they're there

00:02:15.700 getting rid of the people from underpasses and public spaces from all over the city. There are

00:02:22.340 many places that they can go, and we're going to help them as much as you can help.

00:02:26.980 But they'll not be allowed to turn our capital into a wasteland for the world to see.

00:02:38.460 doesn't matter if the city voted blue, if the city voted red. President Trump wants all of America

00:02:44.160 to be great. And I think that's why President Trump is such a great president, because he's for all

00:02:54.560 make America great again. The Marxist lefts are going rogue, and they're losing their minds, and it's

00:03:00.780 not just because of this latest move. President Trump over the weekend reportedly moving President

00:03:05.360 Obama and Bush's portrait out of the view and in a hidden stairwell. President Trump reportedly

00:03:10.880 directed his staff to move these portraits to the top of the grand staircase, according to two people

00:03:15.800 familiar with the matter, telling CNN where it'll be now out of view for thousands of visitors who

00:03:21.940 tour the White House each and every day. One of the sources added that the portraits of both Bushes

00:03:26.580 are now also in that staircase area. Multiple sources have said the president is directly involved with

00:03:32.140 nearly all and everything that is done to the aesthetic of the White House, big or small.

00:03:37.440 That's President Trump and the architecture and the builder in him. And it's great. I don't think

00:03:43.880 anybody cares to see the Bushes or the Obamas anywhere. I think the only place we want to see

00:03:48.440 the Obamas is in orange jumpsuits. President Trump in a very busy day also ordering the military to take

00:03:54.160 on the drug cartels and the flow of illegal drugs and gangs. It stops now. President Trump has

00:03:59.900 officially signed a directive authorizing the Pentagon to deploy U.S. military force against

00:04:04.800 certain Latin America drug cartels designated as terrorist organization. This marks the most

00:04:10.740 aggressive step yet in his administration's campaign against fentanyl and other illicit drugs,

00:04:16.020 framing the fight as the national security issue and aligning with his closed border policies

00:04:20.120 that have already reduced illegal immigration to a fraction of previous levels. The directive builds

00:04:26.520 on Trump's executive order that started in his second administration, instructing the State

00:04:30.440 Department to designate cartels and transnational gangs as foreign terrorist organizations. In February,

00:04:36.640 the State Department announced the first eight designations, including MS-13 and Trendeagua,

00:04:42.480 all part of making America great. Again, drugs off the street, crime off the street, and these gangsters
