Biden documents found in his garage? What's the big deal? Was it stolen by the Deep State? Or did it come from a Chinese think tank funded by the Marxist deep state? And is there more to it than that?

00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs. Welcome to The Great America Show, and great to have you with us.
00:00:05.620 Today, we're talking about historic reforms in the House of Representatives,
00:00:10.320 a national corporate media that resists any calls for reform, even that of their owners,
00:00:16.220 apparently. There may be more Republican reform ahead. There's suddenly a fight for the
00:00:21.120 chairmanship of the Republican National Committee. Ronna McDaniel has chaired the RNC for two midterms
00:00:28.040 in a presidential election and lost out. Running against her, California committee woman Harmeet
00:00:34.400 Dillon, attorney and activist, and Mike Lindell of MyPillow fame. The Republican establishment
00:00:40.660 likes McDaniel, of course, despite her losses. Rank and file aiming for a change in leadership.
00:00:47.120 The RNC votes on the 27th at their annual to-do. And how about the hysterical reaction of the elite
00:00:55.280 corporate globalists to the Biden document theft and possession of classified documents?
00:01:01.320 As they say in the news trade, we'll examine that in the coming minutes. But no, we're not in the
00:01:06.820 news trade, so we'll examine it right now. And we have a highbrow reason for our impulsiveness,
00:01:13.120 because it's fun. Let's start with the MSNBC reflex, which is basically this. They adore the
00:01:20.460 impaired puppet President Biden, so there's no need for an FBI convoy rolling into Biden's residence
00:01:27.260 and putting chalk lines around where the documents were found, or spreading them out on the rug and
00:01:33.700 taking pictures to slip to the Marxist left media. And they say, what's the big deal about finding
00:01:40.060 highest classified secret documents in Biden's garage, his library, some say somewhere outside the
00:01:47.040 garage? And it is think tank, of course, a think tank that's paid for by the communist Chinese,
00:01:53.120 who, frankly, I think they have a pretty good claim that they own the entire Biden family enterprise.
00:02:00.280 Oh, yes. And Hunter Biden, in case you were wondering, did have access to that garage and
00:02:07.120 apparently paid his father $50,000 a month for the privilege, plus a place to sleep, or at least so
00:02:14.660 were told at this point. So no problem there at all, so claims the corporate globalist media as
00:02:21.360 they try to rationalize Biden's document scandal, claiming without evidence that it was all
00:02:27.080 inadvertent mishandling. There's no harm been done, was there? And the garage was locked after all,
00:02:34.040 and it must have been secure or old Joe wouldn't have been parking his Corvette there. Maybe the
00:02:39.180 Republicans planted the documents on poor old Joe. And besides, the intel agencies tend to overclassify
00:02:46.300 all those doggone documents. So these compartmentalized sensitive information documents,
00:02:52.100 the highest level of classification, so no big deal. They're basically saying these Biden documents
00:02:58.180 really just fall somewhere between a page out of Reader's Digest and Good Housekeeping,
00:03:04.060 which obviously this wasn't. Just as obviously, the deep state allied with the Marxist Dems in most
00:03:11.020 circumstances would assure President Biden of a free pass, no matter the severity of his
00:03:17.100 transgressions. But there are also signs that more is afoot in this Biden document scandal. The Marxist Dem
00:03:26.120 rhetoric is suspiciously strong. Lying lefty Adam Schiff worries aloud that Biden may have put our
00:03:34.020 national security at risk. Lefty squad member Ilhan Omar says she's glad Biden is under investigation.
00:03:42.360 She's glad. And where is all that Marxist Dem support that would nearly always be expected
00:03:48.820 to rise to a deafening chorus of support for Biden? But not this time, not even a whisper. So maybe,
00:03:57.460 just maybe, the Marxist Dem Politburo has decided that not only they don't want Biden running for a second term,
00:04:06.000 they may want him out of office now. Whoa. We'll see. And probably soon.
00:04:12.920 Marxist Dem corruption throughout our government is, of course, breathtaking and awesome in its almost complete power,
00:04:19.980 widespread and entrenched. And for the first half of Biden's presidency, there was absolutely nothing.
00:04:26.620 Republicans could do about it. But now, with a House controlled by the GOP, investigations into the
00:04:34.040 Biden family corruption, the weaponization of the Department of Justice and FBI are underway.
00:04:40.780 And we're told there's much more to follow and quickly. The 118th Congress is off to an unprecedented
00:04:47.340 start. In part, that's because the Republicans had a fight for the speakership and they fought it out
00:04:53.720 on C-SPAN and Republican voters loved it. And the bargaining took place in full view of the people.
00:05:01.460 Well, most of the bargaining. 20 Republican reformers banded together to reform the rules in the House
00:05:07.880 and gain more representation on committees for conservatives. Bargaining for transparency,
00:05:13.820 representation and accountability. Historic changes. Our guest today,
00:05:19.640 one of the 20 reformers who stood up. He's Congressman Scott Perry, representing Pennsylvania's 10th
00:05:26.420 district, serving on the foreign affairs and transportation committees. And he chairs the
00:05:31.140 Freedom Caucus. Retired Army general, almost 40 years of service. Congressman, great to have you here
00:05:37.000 again. And congratulations to you and the 20 who accomplished unprecedented reforms for the 118th
00:05:44.680 Congress. You all made history. Well, I got to tell you, Lou, we didn't set out to make history,
00:05:50.740 but we did set out to change the course of how Congress, you know, relates to the American people
00:05:56.420 and actually does business for the American people. And my observation has been that over my time here,
00:06:02.900 Congress does great things for Washington, D.C. Doesn't do a lot of great things for people out in
00:06:08.380 America that get up in the morning, pack a lunchbox and head off to work, pay their bills and play by the
00:06:13.380 rules. And we were just committed to making making a difference and changing it so that Congress
00:06:19.620 actually works for the American people. It's been 100 years, Lou, since anything like this has
00:06:23.700 happened. And maybe it takes that long. I don't know for people to wake up and say, I've had enough,
00:06:28.980 but I have had enough. And I said to myself, I'm not going to look back on my time in Congress and
00:06:34.300 know that I didn't do everything I can to save the Republic. So while it might have been uncomfortable
00:06:39.680 and a little messy looking, better to get this out of the way now so that we can proceed and,
00:06:44.820 you know, and start opposing the crazy left that's dismantling everything we hold dear.
00:06:49.920 Well, Congressman, those are wonderful words for all of us who care about this Republic. And what
00:06:54.220 you all did was really terrific. And I want to applaud you. Free spirited debate, honesty out in
00:07:00.820 front of the American people. What could be better than that? I would love to see you all on the floor
00:07:05.800 every day, every single day, debating issues and playing your part as congressman.
00:07:11.940 Well, look, maybe that was so shocking that the American people hadn't really seen
00:07:15.980 a full-throated debate with all members on the floor, listening, weighing in, participating.
00:07:22.100 Maybe that was the most shocking thing. But let's face it, every now and then we need to reset. And
00:07:26.680 that's how it's supposed to be. We're supposed to be debating issues. Lou, we haven't had an amendment
00:07:31.500 on the floor in six years. You know, we keep on hearing about these bills. Oh, it's the gang of
00:07:36.520 eight, the gang of seven, the gang of six. What the heck's going on here? There's 435 members of
00:07:41.800 Congress and 100 members of the Senate. That means all the rest of them were out of it. You know,
00:07:47.640 you didn't, you didn't hire people or elect people to come here. You know, and I've told,
00:07:51.760 I told the former speaker this, I didn't come here to take orders from you. My orders come from my
00:07:56.860 district and the good Lord above and this constitution that I've taken an oath to defend.
00:08:01.080 Not you and not you people. So that might be the most shocking thing. And you're right,
00:08:05.720 Lou. Look, we knew what was coming at us. We knew it since we, since the inception of this plan and
00:08:12.080 this effort. We knew that all the inside game, the members of Congress, our colleagues were all
00:08:17.000 going to be against us. And we knew the outside game was going to be against us. Like you said,
00:08:21.780 the corporate media, and we even knew some of our so-called allies would be against us. But we were
00:08:27.340 committed. We were committed to make a difference. We didn't make it personal. It wasn't about a
00:08:32.300 person. It was about this institution, this culture, and trying to do something for the little guy and
00:08:38.180 the little gal that's out there just trying to make their way and thinks that Washington doesn't
00:08:43.260 hear their voice. That's what this was all about at the end of the day. I have to believe the cable
00:08:48.120 news networks are going to be just shaking with anxiety and fear when I say this. But you all
00:08:54.340 should do your business in the House with C-SPAN cameras rolling all of the time. You all control
00:09:00.200 the medium. It's your media. And I can't imagine you giving it up to Nancy Pelosi or Jeffries or
00:09:05.900 whomever, because it is really a great advantage for you Republicans. Well, I'm glad you mentioned
00:09:11.840 that and you noticed it, Lou. As the process was going on, we would oftentimes get together and say,
00:09:17.060 let's keep doing the speeches. We're winning every single one of them. It's an opportunity to contrast
00:09:22.760 what the difference is. And we were happy to do it and happy to have the opportunity
00:09:28.660 to show those bold colors. And that's what it's really about. Let's face it, Lou. We were supposed
00:09:34.180 to have a red wave this last election. But you know and I know that the leaders in the Senate and the
00:09:39.280 leaders in the House didn't inspire anybody. The gains that we won in what was the most favorable
00:09:44.480 political climate and Republican in my lifetime as a Republican was squandered because we didn't
00:09:50.880 inspire anybody to vote to vote for us. They voted for us in the sense that they were actually voting
00:09:57.400 against the left and that we were their only choice. Well, that's not a really positive affirmation.
00:10:03.180 And I think you have to be willing to acknowledge that. And if you are willing to acknowledge that,
00:10:07.360 you've got to say, we've got to do better.
00:10:08.720 Yes, I think that is the test here. And you achieved so much in standing up and reforming
00:10:15.800 Congress. No one can argue that. And everyone should be able to applaud that. It's a powerful
00:10:22.820 moment when we look back to that week. I just hope that we will see more of you and your colleagues on
00:10:28.840 the floor to see what else you can do. Well, one of the things we asked for, Lou, and kind of,
00:10:34.600 you know, we requested was a more broadly based approach to the members on committees that reflect
00:10:41.320 the American people, not just the power brokers in Washington, D.C. So as you can imagine,
00:10:47.060 the very important committees were all populated by people unlike me and unlike those 20. And we said
00:10:53.640 that is not acceptable. Not only are we not going to accept retribution and reprisal for standing firm
00:11:00.000 on our commitments and our beliefs, but we want to be represented in the important committees so that
00:11:06.320 those voices, the voices of the American people across the spectrum are heard, not just the left
00:11:11.160 side of our party, but the right side of our party, too, that often feels like they do all the hard
00:11:15.700 work, they make all the sacrifices to get us here. And then once we're here, they're abandoned,
00:11:20.080 their viewpoints are abandoned. So I think you are going to see many more voices that you haven't seen
00:11:25.280 in the past. Look, like I said, we put in place the tools. We have the tools now to really get our
00:11:31.460 message out and do things differently. We still have to have the courage to use them. You take for
00:11:36.200 the first time in history, there is a single subject rule in the House of Representatives. And
00:11:41.360 if you think about how the Senate always sent these Christmas trees over with all these ornaments
00:11:45.400 hung on them, 7,200 ornaments in earmarks the last time, what, two weeks ago and right before
00:11:52.120 Christmas. That can't happen anymore as long as the House enforces its rule. They say, look,
00:11:57.680 you can send that, but it's dead on arrival over here. We have rules now that you have to abide by,
00:12:02.420 not just the Senate rules that the poor House has to grovel on the floor like Oliver Twist asking for
00:12:09.180 more gruel. We're not going to do that anymore. Now you're going to abide by our rules and we're not
00:12:13.400 putting up with that anymore, but we have to enforce it. Well, I noticed you didn't put up much with
00:12:18.160 George Stephanopoulos. He obviously wanted you to recuse yourself from investigating those same
00:12:24.280 Marxist Dems who've been attacking our system of government, the representatives of the American
00:12:28.760 people and including you. And it was good to watch you just not put up with his nonsense.
00:12:34.620 Well, that's exactly what they do, Lou. And we should be ready for that. We should be prepared for
00:12:39.320 that. We should expect that. What they often do is when they can't win on the, in the arena of
00:12:44.460 ideas, when they can't win on the battlefield, they take the players that are being effective
00:12:50.060 off the battlefield. We've seen them do that over and over again. Of course, issuing subpoenas on
00:12:55.340 Andy Biggs and Jim Jordan and what they've done to Matt Gaetz. They take the most effective players
00:13:00.620 off the battlefield. And that's what that was, an attempt. I have not, according to the Department
00:13:07.060 of Justice, I'm not a target of the investigation. So I absolutely should serve on every committee.
00:13:12.860 As a matter of fact, I'm one of the people that should serve on one of these committees because
00:13:17.240 I'm being unduly persecuted, like many Americans are, under this weaponization of the government
00:13:23.260 by the Democrats and the left. And that's exactly the kind of people we need on those committees
00:13:27.960 to look into these things.
00:13:29.900 The China committee that you've created and created in a bipartisan fashion, I think is going
00:13:34.640 to be tremendous. People are recognizing who the enemy really is. They're no longer calling
00:13:39.620 China adversaries or competitors. They're outright an enemy. They're stealing almost a trillion dollars
00:13:46.200 a year from this country. And it's good to see this committee established and to see Congress
00:13:50.860 in a bipartisan fashion doing something about it.
00:13:54.060 Yeah, that's exactly right. Finally, finally, someone's acknowledging what you have talked long
00:13:58.920 about, Lou. I've also acknowledged it. But finally, it's being acknowledged officially by the creation
00:14:05.140 of this committee. And look, they are calling them adversaries or strategic competitors or whatever
00:14:13.340 all that garbage is. Chinese Communist Party calls the United States of America its enemy. And we better
00:14:19.380 take heed to that and get to it. And with all due respect, if there is any warranted, the Democrats have
00:14:25.340 talked big but done absolutely nothing. And now it's time for them to put up. And the Republican Party
00:14:31.200 needs to get in a fight here, too, and really start getting tough. None of this just, you know,
00:14:35.780 tepid conversations and we ought to call them out. No, we ought to do something and hold them account.
00:14:41.200 You know what we ought to do? I've got a bill to label the Communist Party of China, the Communist Party
00:14:46.780 of China, a transnational criminal organization. And the intellectual property theft of America that
00:14:52.600 they engage in every single year is certainly just a minimum standard. And that would allow Merrick
00:14:57.800 Garland to quit prosecuting Americans for a parking ticket and start going after the Communist Chinese
00:15:03.480 Party that's trying to destroy America. That's where he needs to focus his attention and leave
00:15:08.280 good, God-fearing, hardworking, law-abiding Americans alone. You know, Congressman, I think
00:15:13.600 right now Merrick Garland, the Attorney General of the United States, right now has to wonder what has
00:15:19.300 hit him. Because now he is chasing all sorts of boxes of documents. He knows not where. And the same
00:15:26.840 people who were condemning President Trump are now looking at President Joe Biden and asking what
00:15:32.620 in the world was going on. Yeah, you're absolutely right, Lou. I mean, whether it's Hillary Clinton or
00:15:38.720 Joe Biden, they're allowed to be reckless with America's secrets. But heaven forbid Donald Trump
00:15:45.460 transport them, you know, appropriately to a skiff in Mar-a-Lago and then work with the archivist.
00:15:51.760 That's not allowed. So we've got to raid his home, you know, have these federal agents going through
00:15:58.380 his wife's underwear drawer and his son's sock drawer. It's appalling. What we don't know, look,
00:16:03.500 why are we assuming that these folks turned over all the documents? Why are we taking their word for
00:16:09.560 it? Why did it take them two months? Heck, two months. They've apparently had these documents for
00:16:14.400 six years in an office where foreigners were coming in and out of. At least President Trump,
00:16:19.520 who has the ability to declassify absolutely every single thing under the sun, had them under lock
00:16:25.140 and key in the skiff, which was reviewed by these very same people. Why would we take the Democrats'
00:16:30.940 word that they were doing anything above board here? Obviously, there's something very much amiss
00:16:35.960 here. And you can't have two standards of justice. Lou, as you woke up today, you know,
00:16:40.860 you see another shining example of two standards of justice, one for the elites, you know,
00:16:45.520 who are well-connected and say the right things, and one for all the rest of us. Tomorrow, it's
00:16:50.180 going to be another example. When are Americans going to be sick enough to do something about
00:16:54.400 this? And this is where the weaponization of the federal government, the new church-style
00:16:58.740 committee with the acronym WTFG, that's what we're going to get to the bottom of those kinds
00:17:05.100 of things, because there has to be accountability.
00:17:07.640 It is without question a two-tier system. As I look at it, it's a one-tier system of justice.
00:17:13.100 The Marxist Dems get justice, and conservatives, well, they don't get justice of any kind at
00:17:18.900 all. And I do have to say that putting in Mark Green as chair of the Homeland Security Committee
00:17:23.980 sounds like a lot better choice than Congressman Dan Crenshaw. Your thoughts?
00:17:29.940 Well, listen, Mark Green is a great member of Congress. Of course, you know he's a member
00:17:33.360 of the Freedom Caucus. He's got a long and storied history, not only as a physician, but a combatant
00:17:38.300 serving as a special forces, a special operator with the task force, the ones that go out and do
00:17:44.100 the flying for the U.S. Army, the Night Stalkers. We're thrilled with his position as the chairman
00:17:50.380 of Homeland Security. And look, if you're Secretary Mayorkas, your time of getting away with lying to
00:17:57.220 the American people in Congress is over. I suggest that guy set up a cot in the Homeland Security
00:18:03.620 hearing room and be prepared to be taken apart by Mark Green every single day of the week until
00:18:08.900 the time of his impeachment. Let's return to the issue of those stolen documents, the difference
00:18:14.140 in treatment, the two-tier system you referred to. How long do you think it'll take to produce real
00:18:20.300 results and real change in Washington, D.C.? To roll back the swamp, just some.
00:18:26.180 Well, I think some of it's going to go more quickly than others. You're going to see single
00:18:29.800 subject bills. You're going to see a different approach to spending, I think. And so that'll
00:18:35.820 happen almost immediately. Of course, you're already seeing bills that you like, like the
00:18:39.680 getting rid of the 87,000 new IRS agents. You've already seen Adam Schiff, the habitual
00:18:44.940 liar, and Eric Swalwell, who sleeps with Chinese spies and American-hating representatives taken
00:18:51.680 from their committees. You're already seeing the signs of what can be done immediately.
00:18:55.500 The investigations are going to take a little more time, Lou. We're Republicans. We're
00:18:59.880 conservatives. We're people that believe in the process and the rule of law. And so we don't
00:19:04.360 convict people before we have the evidence. So it's going to take a little time to get that
00:19:09.160 evidence. And as you know, the administration's going to drag their feet every way they can.
00:19:13.840 But I suspect there's still a few good people in these agencies that are going to be willing
00:19:17.820 to come and talk to us and give us the evidence, and that'll help speed it up. But that's going to
00:19:23.360 take a little more time, but we're going to be methodical so that when we know we have something,
00:19:27.780 we're sure of it.
00:19:28.980 Well, I know that you and your colleagues will be judicious and you'll be fair, which is something
00:19:33.380 that we couldn't say of the other party when they were in power in the House. And I want to get
00:19:38.940 your thoughts about this, if I may, Congressman. It's curious that the Biden people didn't
00:19:43.160 immediately bring this to the attention of the American voting public. Are you surprised?
00:19:48.640 No, I'm not shocked, Lou. And it's always curious how these things work out. And we're
00:19:52.960 supposed to just disregard them, forget them, and not wonder about the coincidental nature
00:19:58.300 of elections vis-a-vis, oh, I don't know, the Hunter laptop or things like this. That's just
00:20:04.900 coincidental. Look, I don't know how many times people have to see it before they start putting
00:20:09.940 the connections together. But if they refuse to put those connections together, we're going
00:20:14.740 to continue to remind them. We're going to have a smile on our face, but we're going to
00:20:17.780 continue to remind them and show them the bold differences between the leftist party that
00:20:23.040 wants to take your freedoms away and rule you and a conservative Republican party that
00:20:28.560 wants to abide by the Constitution and let Americans live free and exercise their rights
00:20:34.180 as a free people.
00:20:35.700 Congressman Perry, always great to have you here to talk with you. And as you know, we
00:20:40.720 always give our guests the last word, your concluding thoughts, if you will.
00:20:44.420 My concluding thoughts are these, Lou. Look, we just fought to give the tools to this Republican
00:20:49.020 Congress, two of the Congress. But we're going to need everybody to weigh in, knowing that
00:20:54.220 they have the tools to stop this insanity, stop these midnight dumps of $1.7 trillion bills
00:21:00.100 from the Senate, stop these Christmas tree bills, and stop having accountability for the
00:21:05.600 elite ruling class in Washington. But it is going to take the American people to be engaged,
00:21:10.480 to stay engaged. Know that there's, know that the, you know, that things have changed
00:21:14.560 in Washington, D.C. Don't lose, don't lose your enthusiasm. Don't be discouraged. Get
00:21:20.120 back in the fight if you're out of it. Stay in the fight if you've been in it. Let's demand
00:21:23.920 that these tools be used. This is our government. We, the people, are the ones that, that rule
00:21:29.780 this country. We don't serve the government. The government serves us, and we need your help
00:21:34.760 in making sure that continues to happen. Thank you. Congressman Scott Perry, great American.
