The Great America Show - REP. SCOTT PERRY SAYS THE DOJ AND FBI ARE CORRUPT AND GARLAND & WRAY MUST GO

00:00:00.000 Hi, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs, and this is The Great America Show, and we're thrilled to have you with us today.

00:00:06.920 No surprise, we'll be taking up the rampant corruption of our federal government, in particular that of the Justice Department and the FBI.

00:00:15.800 They are still working to destroy President Trump and this constitutional republic.

00:00:21.320 How bad is it?

00:00:22.300 Whistle-blowers say that so many FBI agents are dismayed and disgusted with the political corruption at the top of the FBI that they are now calling for Director Wray to step down.

00:00:35.120 Meanwhile, the FBI unit that led the ugly raid on Mar-a-Lago is the same outfit that ran the corrupt and even uglier Russian collusion hoax investigation against President Trump. 0.92

00:00:47.580 What a bunch of creeps. What a bunch of beauties at the FBI and the Justice Department. 1.00

00:00:55.020 Folks, we either elect First America MAGA Republicans this November and take over the House, or we can kiss this country goodbye.

00:01:03.840 That's my opinion.

00:01:05.380 The Marxist Dems mean to destroy our country, and we need to get them stopped and now.

00:01:11.300 That means vote in November, elect Republicans, and I don't mean rhino Republicans, or regret it the rest of your life. 0.72

00:01:20.400 Just ask our guest today.

00:01:22.560 Ask Congressman Scott Perry of Pennsylvania how he feels about it all, about how important it is to clean up the FBI, the Department of Justice, and the whole bunch of gangsters running our federal government,

00:01:36.160 including the Marxist Dems, who are leading the Democrat Party and calling the shots for this puppet president.

00:01:44.220 Three weeks ago, Congressman Perry had just begun his day.

00:01:48.260 It was the day after the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago when the FBI showed up and demanded he turn over his cell phone to them.

00:01:57.540 The congressman did as they asked, but he still isn't real happy about it, and neither are his colleagues in the House of Representatives.

00:02:05.000 Here's Congressman Jim Jordan on the FBI's outrageous abuse of power.

00:02:12.460 Understand what happened here.

00:02:14.060 The FBI came to the inspector general and said, we're going to take the phone of a sitting member of Congress.

00:02:19.520 We're going to take his phone one day after we have raided President Trump's home,

00:02:23.340 and we're going to do it while Congressman Perry is on vacation with his family.

00:02:27.220 The inspector general should have said to them, are you freaking out of your mind?

00:02:31.600 This has got all kinds of constitutional concerns.

00:02:33.600 You should not do it, but if you do, we will not participate.

00:02:38.160 But instead, he said, go ahead and do it, and we'll image the phone.

00:02:42.360 That is frightening because they're supposed to be providing the independent oversight of the Justice Department.

00:02:48.380 So, yeah, there's politics at the DOJ.

00:02:50.380 There's certainly politics at the FBI, as evidenced by all the whistleblowers,

00:02:53.740 almost 20 that have come to the three respective offices.

00:02:56.420 But now we have to have concerns about the inspector general as well.

00:03:02.460 Congressman Scott Perry, retired U.S. Army Brigadier General and Great American.

00:03:08.020 Thanks for being with us here today on The Great America Show.

00:03:11.260 I'd like to get first your reaction to Congressman Jordan's remarks.

00:03:14.620 Yeah, here's the thing, Lou.

00:03:19.440 We thought the corruption and the rot at the top of these once revered institutions, the FBI, the DOJ, ended just there.

00:03:28.280 But, unfortunately, what we continue to learn every day is that the rot and the corruption just goes further and further.

00:03:36.760 And now, with this, we can assume that the independent inspector general who's supposed to be making sure that the DOJ and the FBI stays honest,

00:03:46.980 and one of the ways they do that, Lou, is by being independent, not picking a side one way or there,

00:03:52.500 just saying, you know, calling the balls and strikes.

00:03:54.980 But now they're picking a side and they're participating.

00:03:59.040 And so, you know, any feeling or any comfort you had that there was an independent broker in there just making sure that people were doing the right thing

00:04:08.520 with the awesome, unbelievable, unimaginable, you know, power of the federal government, you can forget that now, too,

00:04:19.000 because now the people that are supposed to be keeping an eye to make sure that everything is done correctly are now playing on the other team.

00:04:27.920 And you've got to try and, you know, and keep your freedoms with that stuff going on.

00:04:33.520 So it's unfortunately shocking once again.

00:04:37.200 But every single day, Lou, we wake up as Americans thinking it can't get any worse, and we can't imagine what they'll do yet today.

00:04:44.160 And every single day, we seem to be certainly surprised, if not just disappointed even further, at how far this partisan rot goes.

00:04:57.540 Well, I'll tell you for myself, I am absolutely gutsick.

00:05:01.220 I'm not ashamed to admit that.

00:05:03.160 I am gutsick for our country and for great Americans and patriots like you and all who have been harmed by this corrupt FBI.

00:05:14.620 This is no longer about politics.

00:05:17.400 This is about outright corruption on the part of the FBI.

00:05:22.220 For them to have made a decision to take your phone.

00:05:27.640 You're on vacation with your family.

00:05:29.480 Would you mind telling our audience just how that came about?

00:05:35.480 Yeah, sure.

00:05:36.520 You know, we try once a year to get together with the extended family in-laws and so on and so forth and just get away from the everyday immersion of Washington, D.C.

00:05:46.880 and the concerns that follow us because of that.

00:05:51.700 And so we oftentimes, it's expensive, but we get together and we're able to rent a house down at the beach.

00:05:58.320 You know, my wife and I, we're proud parents of two little girls and they get together with their nanny and pappy and their uncles and aunts and we have a grand time of it.

00:06:09.440 And that's what we were doing.

00:06:10.800 I got a knock on the door at 9 o'clock in the morning.

00:06:15.140 Now, Lou, nobody at the shore, down at the shore, knocks on your door at 9 o'clock in the morning.

00:06:20.860 You know, it's a rental house.

00:06:22.520 And so I went to the door and, of course, I was greeted by three men in suits looking a bit out of place for a little shore town.

00:06:31.420 And, you know, they identified themselves and showed me their badges and they identified me and said, we're here to seize your phone.

00:06:38.980 And, you know, there was a quick conversation.

00:06:42.520 You know, they started trying to ask me questions.

00:06:44.400 And I said, you know, with all due respect, I don't have anything to say to you folks.

00:06:49.300 You know, and they took the phone.

00:06:51.120 They said they would have it back in a couple hours.

00:06:54.860 And I said, well, I don't have a phone.

00:06:56.580 I don't want you bothering my in-laws.

00:06:58.520 You know, they don't need any of this kind of stuff.

00:07:01.180 And can you call my chief of staff?

00:07:03.520 And the guy says, well, we don't have her number.

00:07:05.340 And I said, well, you have the phone.

00:07:06.940 And the guy looked at me.

00:07:07.880 He goes, well, it's not like we're going to go rifling through your phone.

00:07:10.620 I just looked at him.

00:07:11.760 I couldn't believe he was taking the phone.

00:07:15.300 You know, and, of course, hours upon hours later, they did exactly what I'd hoped they would not do, which was go bother my in-laws.

00:07:25.080 You know, they're not in the best of health or what have you.

00:07:27.880 And, you know, so when I returned at my father-in-law's request, I asked them why they couldn't keep their commitment.

00:07:36.400 And they said to me, well, we couldn't find your chief of staff.

00:07:39.280 Now, somehow, Lou, the FBI was able to find me, you know, and I can't imagine my chief of staff is that difficult to find.

00:07:47.940 But, you know, that's just the way this thing goes.

00:07:50.420 And, of course, you know, as an American citizen, you think, well, what's this all about?

00:07:54.980 Like, why are you taking my stuff?

00:07:56.420 Well, the answer from them is we can't tell you, you know.

00:08:00.860 And so because of this January 6th, the so-called January 6th committee, I have retained counsel.

00:08:07.420 So I called my attorneys, obviously, and asked them to check with these people to find out what this is all about because I really have no idea why they would want my phone.

00:08:17.540 And the only answer they would offer to my attorneys is that Congressman Perry is not a target of an investigation.

00:08:25.060 But they took my phone and they want to look into the thing.

00:08:30.800 So it would be nice to know exactly where all this is headed right now.

00:08:34.920 But, look, in old Dallas times, I think he's famous for saying, you show me the man and I'll show you the crime.

00:08:41.480 And one of my concerns is what they might put on my phone, not what's on it, but what they might put on it.

00:08:47.340 Yeah, it is absolutely outrageous.

00:08:54.400 I want to compliment you for your calm, your poise, your composure.

00:08:58.800 I have to say, and by the way, you all show your judgment not to say a word to them.

00:09:04.520 So I wonder what would have happened if you said, no, I'm a U.S. congressman and I don't I'm not turning over my phone to you.

00:09:15.260 We have an important constitutional principle here, amongst which is a corrupt FBI trying to take the phone of a U.S. congressman.

00:09:27.140 But I think you need to talk, you know, I mean, I don't know what you could have done.

00:09:31.840 You're absolutely you're absolutely right, Lou.

00:09:33.960 And, of course, I've got a friend in Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, the former director of national intelligence.

00:09:39.860 And I watched what the FBI did to him.

00:09:41.960 And, of course, I'm well familiar with the FBI did with the FISA court documents and applications.

00:09:48.260 And, of course, I'm well familiar with what the FBI tried to do to President Trump.

00:09:53.180 And so there's not much I'm going to say to those folks without my lawyers present.

00:09:57.360 But I did in anticipation because you just don't know in this day and age, you know, I said to my attorney some time ago, whatever happens if they come to get my phone?

00:10:08.880 And, of course, they said, look, you just you have to comply with the law.

00:10:11.660 And I said, but I don't have to come.

00:10:13.040 No citizen has to comply with unlawful requirements, unlawful requests.

00:10:17.980 And they said, well, you know, what you don't want is to to be arrested for not complying with the FBI if it ever comes to that.

00:10:26.580 So and look, we we have always I grew up revering the FBI and the things they did and the intelligence agencies and law enforcement and we're supportive of them.

00:10:35.940 And I don't hold it against these agents.

00:10:38.360 I like I said, I think the rot is at the top.

00:10:41.040 Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray, those people need to go.

00:10:43.980 And, of course, I've called for Merrick Garland's impeachment, which is what this might be all about.

00:10:48.740 This is all about November 8th, 2022 and then beyond.

00:10:53.700 But, you know, but look, I was calm.

00:10:57.420 I complied.

00:10:58.780 And now we're going to fight it the right way in the courts.

00:11:00.960 But it's going to be expensive.

00:11:03.160 And, you know, and like you said, you get heart sick about it.

00:11:07.780 You know, you live your life as an open book.

00:11:09.920 I do as a congressman.

00:11:11.200 There's no there's no question that I objected to the electors and why I objected to the electors, the electors from Pennsylvania.

00:11:19.060 There's no question that I called for audits, that I called for investigations.

00:11:24.000 I stand by that to this moment.

00:11:26.060 If that is somehow illegal now, boy, I sure wished I would have known a year and a half or so ago.

00:11:33.680 But, Lou, as you know, on that phone, on that phone is messages between me and my family, you know, me and my colleagues, which we'll get to attorney-client privilege because I have to have counsel because of the so-called January 6th committee.

00:11:49.260 But also this thing that members of Congress deal with, which is called speech and debate.

00:11:54.840 And it was put in the Constitution by our founders, Lou, to make sure that we didn't have a king that punished the legislative members for their votes or the things that they said.

00:12:05.180 But right now, this Department of Justice, this Biden's executive branch and FBI wishes to pierce that veil and punish legislators, apparently, who disagree with whatever narrative they have.

00:12:18.240 They're on some mission to destroy the country.

00:12:27.500 I don't know what we would call the mission, a jihad, a crusade, an attempted coup.

00:12:36.100 But it's day by day.

00:12:37.420 You said it exactly right, I think, Congressman.

00:12:40.000 Day by day, we see one outrage after another.

00:12:43.080 And Bill Barr, the former attorney general, the other day, again, the man has disappointed me to the point that I hold the man in contempt.

00:12:51.920 He is outrageous.

00:12:54.500 And he said the other day, he is sick of the right's outrage, pandering to outrage.

00:13:02.580 And this is the man who lied through and through.

00:13:08.160 He is the man who said, without question, Joe Biden lied in the second debate and about disinformation, Hunter Biden's, you know, not to relitigate all of that.

00:13:25.840 But if he had just stepped forward and acknowledged the American people and, you know, he said, I don't want to intervene in the election.

00:13:32.380 That's what he told President Trump.

00:13:34.680 Meanwhile, his agents are intervening in the elections, telling big tech, social media, big national media that it's Russian disinformation.

00:13:44.940 He shut down the New York Post's outstanding reporting.

00:13:48.420 One story put out and the curtain came down and the American people were denied their right to know and changed history.

00:13:57.240 I can't think of a, by the way, you were talking about Inspector General, the Inspector General's office, Horowitz.

00:14:06.440 He's the guy who was the investigator on a crossfire hurricane.

00:14:12.180 He was the original Inspector General.

00:14:15.300 Everything he's done has obviously been corrupt throughout.

00:14:19.520 And President, President Trump, as he almost always does, had it exactly right in that moment.

00:14:27.340 He said he had a fit because Horowitz, he said, was Obama's man.

00:14:34.060 And I'll be doggoned, he's Obama's man.

00:14:37.520 Well, I'll tell you, with the revelations that Congressman Jim Jordan, the ranking member on judiciary from Ohio's 4th District, like he said, I mean, you know, we were astounded that the Department of Justice, that the FBI would do what they did.

00:14:54.820 And think about this, Lou, in a five-day span and in an unprecedented fashion, an armed and, you know, an armed siege of the former president and potentially the future president's home, his personal home, when the president was being fully cooperative with the archives.

00:15:15.180 It's not like the president stole a nuclear weapon and took it home in his, you know, in his SUV with him or something like that.

00:15:23.060 This is a dispute over documents, and the president is the classifier of every single document, whether he wants to follow whatever foolish protocol they put together or not.

00:15:35.720 He's the classifier and the unclassifier.

00:15:38.360 But over a dispute, they raid the man's home.

00:15:41.800 A day later at 9 o'clock in the morning, they take my phone, and I guess, you know, I've seen as two approving of President Trump's policies across the country for his presidency.

00:15:55.160 And then within another 48 hours, you know, pass a bill that would afford the payment of and the hiring of 67,000 new IRS agents to come, you know, audit every small business and every person that's just trying to make it through their life and might have paid somebody $25 to mow the lawn.

00:16:16.680 That's where we're headed right now, and we're headed there darn fast.

00:16:21.000 Indeed, we are, and day by day, as you put it, America is unraveling, and it is the puppet president, the Marxist Dems, who are driving the Democrat Party, and the cabal, which I believe includes certainly Barack Obama, and he considers this his third term, 0.53

00:16:44.480 who are reaching across our government, who are destroying it day by day, and you can turn in any direction, taking your phone.

00:16:54.740 By the way, did you get your phone back yet?

00:16:57.740 I did get the phone back.

00:16:59.540 They have, as they told me, imaged the phone, and they've told me they haven't looked at it now.

00:17:05.540 Of course, we're not going to give them permission to look at the phone.

00:17:11.100 Like I said, there are privileged conversations between me and other members of Congress, between me and my constituents.

00:17:19.580 I'm not worried about anything nefarious on the phone.

00:17:22.660 It's just that somebody has to fight this cabal for the fact of and the sake of attorney-client privilege and for the sake of the speech and debate clause, which protects members and the speech on behalf of their bosses.

00:17:38.540 I speak on behalf of 760,000 Americans, and the executive branch cannot punish their thoughts through me, their representative, or their votes in that matter.

00:17:55.740 But that's apparently what we're at the precipice of now, and that's never been done before, Lou.

00:18:01.480 This has never been done before, but as you know, the radical leftists and the Democrats that work with them, they don't care about any of it.

00:18:11.940 They don't care about the Constitution.

00:18:13.600 They don't care about the rule of law.

00:18:15.240 They don't care about precedent.

00:18:16.900 They don't care about anything.

00:18:18.200 It's all a means to an end.

00:18:19.500 And again, this is about November 8, 2022 and beyond.

00:18:25.400 Without question.

00:18:26.380 And that very idea that President Biden this week will be giving a speech on the soul of the country, if the irony does not double you over, the absurdity of it does. 0.97

00:18:43.320 This is a man who is a corrupt president, an illegitimate president. 0.95

00:18:48.520 His family is a crime family as much as it is any other kind of family. 0.97

00:18:52.900 Hunter Biden has been given FBI and Secret Service protection through, it appears, throughout his entire business life.

00:19:02.940 He is sitting here four years later without investigation.

00:19:08.160 As you say, the President of the United States has to tolerate a raid, effectively a no-knock raid at his home.

00:19:17.360 He was not there at the time, at Mar-a-Lago, in his offices.

00:19:19.880 We're going through one thing after another.

00:19:22.780 All of the FBI agents, with very few exceptions, have just been reshuffled when they are found corrupt, when they have been clocked over the course of the past six years, breaking the law and trying to overthrow this president and destroy the nation.

00:19:38.540 This is what I would like to ask you to address is why is no one connecting the statements of Bill Barr, his actions, and his role in all of this as if he is some sort of neutral to even victim in all of this.

00:19:56.820 When, in fact, he has covered for every agency, every Department of Justice, he has lied through his teeth, and people continue to listen to him as if he's not part of the cover-up.

00:20:10.780 Well, I've got to tell you, Lou, that I was obviously, as you were sorely disappointed in Attorney General Barr's performance and his perspective, seeking, it seems, to please the press and the woke leftists that are now in charge more than following the Constitution and doing his duty and his due diligence in that regard.

00:20:38.540 I don't know. I don't think we're listening to him as an impartial broker at this point.

00:20:43.520 I think it's very clear that early on he said them some things that were encouraging.

00:20:48.180 But as you know, Lou, talk is cheap, and it's the actions that count.

00:20:52.540 And, of course, when it came time to take action to clean this rot out and to end it, there was no action taken.

00:21:02.180 As a matter of fact, he put his tail between his legs and ran away whimpering at the fear of, you know, potential impeachment for having the temerity to look into things that were pretty obvious to many, many Americans.

00:21:18.440 And you've outlined some of them already, but the evidence has been standing right in front of us where we can see it, and yet nothing gets done.

00:21:27.000 And the American people are rightly sick of this dual-track system of justice where the elites and those connected have one system where there's no accountability.

00:21:39.280 There's never – they never have to deal with paying for the things that they've done.

00:21:46.940 And meanwhile, every other person is being persecuted, and if they haven't done something, well, it looks like we're going to try and either pin something on you or we're just going to dig long enough until we find something.

00:21:59.400 And that's now our new justice system in the society we live in.

00:22:03.140 People are rightly – American citizens are tired of it, and this looks like something we'd see on TV from some country far, far away that – you know, with a dictator in it.

00:22:13.300 But yet it's happening in this country.

00:22:15.220 It is happening, and we are watching this administration, this puppet president, the Marxist Dems on Capitol Hill, they have all taken – and governors, Democratic governors, all have taken up some talking points. 0.74

00:22:33.340 One is get out of America.

00:22:37.000 Go somewhere else to the Republicans in their states, in their cities, or in their nation. 0.88

00:22:43.760 This president calling Republicans semi-fascist, which is a silly expression, but nonetheless, it's what it is. 0.77

00:22:54.780 And that's what he said.

00:22:55.900 And then he called a couple of days later for a summit on unity.

00:23:00.760 The man is a fraud on every level, and we're supposed to listen to his blathering from a teleprompter this week about the soul of the nation.

00:23:09.640 First, we should worry about the soul of this president and the soul of Americans who will tolerate further these outrages against the Constitution, the country, everything we stand for, and ourselves. 0.88

00:23:21.920 Yeah, being called a semi-fascist for whatever that is, and of course, it's never defined by these people.

00:23:29.900 But, you know, Lou, growing up when I did, and I suspect a good deal of the people that you grew up with, we fought the fascists, whether it was in World War II or whether it was in the Vietnam War.

00:23:43.700 We fought these kind of people.

00:23:45.660 And then to be described as that individual simply because you won't get on board with the Democrat leftist woke agenda to destroy America.

00:23:55.480 Lou, this is unprecedented. We literally have one of the major parties of two in the United States of America that seemingly hates everything about America.

00:24:07.000 I mean, I can go down through the list. They hate our schools.

00:24:10.280 They hate our system of capitalism.

00:24:14.060 They hate which cars we drive.

00:24:15.880 They hate, and the worst part is, and I don't want to throw that term around lightly, that hate term, but, you know, and they hate all of us.

00:24:25.480 It's not like they, you know, just disagree.

00:24:28.460 They're not trying to find a way to work with us.

00:24:31.500 Like you said, I watched Charlie Crist, the guy running for governor again in Florida, said, you know, if you agree with DeSantis or Trump, well, you could just get out.

00:24:41.640 He's not interested in a conversation with you.

00:24:44.640 My goodness.

00:24:45.860 I mean, we've asked them to turn the temperature down and have a reasonable discourse, but it appears that they certainly have no interest in that whatsoever.

00:24:55.480 Yeah, it's, I think it's taken this much time for most Republicans in the country and most independents to realize these Marxist Dems mean to destroy America as we know it or knew it.

00:25:12.100 They mean to destroy us, and they are attacking our children, whether it is in elementary school or preschool even, talking to them about sex and even gender. 0.99

00:25:26.660 They're insisting on indoctrinating, not educating children.

00:25:30.880 And I saw a poll the other day, Congressman, saying 70% of the teachers in L.A. want to resign.

00:25:37.980 Well, my guess is about 70%, if you get the right 70%, that would be a marked improvement over what those children are experiencing right now.

00:25:46.820 We have two teachers unions that are morally absolutely corrupt, and they are indifferent to the welfare of our children, let alone their education.

00:25:58.420 We are a nation in sorry shape, and we are at the precipice, and I believe, as you suggested at the outset, November 8th will determine the future.

00:26:08.420 You're absolutely right, Lou, and we just have to hope for a free and fair election here.

00:26:14.460 I'm from Pennsylvania, and not much has changed since they passed Act 77 to allow for no excuse mail-in voting and drop boxes, even counting ballots days after the election.

00:26:26.200 All that stuff still remains.

00:26:27.720 And so we're just going to have to be vigilant as people that love our country, that want to maintain a standard and make sure that there's one person, one vote.

00:26:38.280 It means we're going to have to sit and babysit these places and these people and make sure that they're doing the right thing, because it's the only alternative we have now, Lou.

00:26:49.760 Congressman, we always give our guests the last word.

00:26:53.260 I would ask you to entertain one part of a question.

00:26:57.080 And as you give us your concluding thoughts, have the people of Pennsylvania, as best you can determine, awakened to what was done in their state to them in the election of 2020?

00:27:13.460 I do believe that the people of Pennsylvania have awakened to that.

00:27:17.340 Unfortunately, we have a governor and an attorney general in Pennsylvania that refused to hear their cries.

00:27:23.700 So nothing has changed.

00:27:25.520 Nothing will change.

00:27:26.760 And I would say for all your Pennsylvanians that are listening, you simply you have to do everything you can to make sure we change the party in the governor's mansion.

00:27:35.680 So Doug Mastriano is your vote.

00:27:37.400 If you think that Josh Shapiro, who I served with in the state legislature, is going to do anything to make this, you know, to instill some integrity back into our election and make sure that every vote is counted, but only every legitimate vote, you are unfortunately going to be mistaken.

00:27:56.340 And so I would just encourage you that we absolutely have to have a change in leadership in the governor's mansion if we're ever going to right this ship in the great commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

00:28:05.400 Lou, God bless you and your audience, and I sure thank you and appreciate the opportunity to be with you today.

00:28:12.060 Congressman Perry, thanks so much for being with us, and God bless you.

00:28:15.300 Thanks for everything you're doing for the nation.

00:28:17.840 Thank you, sir.

00:28:18.480 Thanks, everybody.

00:28:20.940 Good to have you with us today.

00:28:22.300 Tomorrow we'll be joined by a very special fellow, Kash Patel.

00:28:26.680 He's a former DOJ, DOD official, House Intel Committee chief of staff, and national security expert.

00:28:34.540 He's a great American.

00:28:36.080 That's tomorrow right here on The Great America Show.

00:28:39.100 Please join us.

00:28:40.040 Until then, God bless you, and may God bless America.
