On this episode of The Great America Show, host Lou Dobbs is joined by journalist and best-selling author Lee Smith to discuss the current state of the country and the China-U.S. relations, including the recent trip to Taiwan by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Vice President Joe Biden.

00:03:39.940We see different reports saying that the White House is very mad at Pelosi for going to Taiwan and formulating her own China policy.

00:03:56.660If there was something to really be worried about with Pelosi's trip, we'd see the different people who have come out for the last five decades who promoted this relationship with the Chinese Communist Party.

00:04:38.220I think if there was really something to be worried about, that this was really a big problem, I think these guys would have been losing their minds.
00:04:47.020And we hear them screaming from the rooftops the last couple of weeks.
00:04:51.740So that's I mean, this is, you know, as I think I mentioned last time we were speaking, I'm working on a book about these, about the U.S. establishment, how it's betrayed our country to the Communist Party of China.
00:05:04.960So I've been looking at these guys for a little while now and seeing how they message about China-U.S. relations.
00:05:12.440And so that's what I'm thinking right now.
00:05:14.560I think there's something else going on.
00:05:17.120Well, I and, you know, I love your analysis.
00:05:20.200And I think that there's every, every possibility that you're exactly right.
00:05:29.280And by the way, we and a lot of other people who are doing different analyses may be just as right as we are, but it doesn't make any of us wrong.
00:05:38.020I really believe that what we are witnessing is the, if you will, the ebbing of the Biden administration.
00:05:45.640And these are the reasons I say this, Lee, we haven't heard from Tony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Lloyd Austin for two months now.

00:06:41.560I just really believe that that's the situation and that for all practical purposes,
00:06:46.460what we have seen and witnessed here over the past week is the Constitution and our founders genius at work.

00:08:27.100The problem for Joe Biden, as different people, former Trump administration officials have told me, the reason that it's going to be tough for Biden to drop those tariffs is because of Hunter Biden.

00:08:46.620Now, the more and more information we see from Hunter's laptop, we're coming to get a clearer idea of how much China controls him as well, unfortunately, tragically for our country, the president as well.

00:09:54.820Well, we're going to drop these tariffs and you'll see how much this is going to help inflation.
00:09:59.020So I wouldn't be surprised if this is tied to tariffs.

00:10:05.460But again, that's a theory, because what tells me, again, I just find it impossible that none of the none of the creeps in the China class from Paulson and Kissinger.

00:10:44.340We are witnessing the President of the United States draw 180 million barrels of oil out of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, ostensibly, so he claimed, to lower gas prices for American consumers.
00:11:00.840Yet, a million barrels of that oil going to a subsidiary of the principal oil company in China, one million barrels, and it just happens to be the company that Hunter Biden was consulting.
00:11:16.480That can only be done with the signature, the knowledge, and the imprimatur of the White House and the President on it.
00:12:08.300The way that I've understood it, the way that I've come to understand it is, the Democrats, look, the Republicans are no winners on this, especially these guys obeying just the Chamber of Commerce marching band.

00:12:26.300They can't run national elections without money coming from big tech, Wall Street, Hollywood, and the Academy.
00:12:35.820And all of those industries depend on a cash flow from the Chinese Communist Party.

00:12:50.460My question is, who in the Democratic Party is going to go to their donors on Wall Street or big tech and say, guys, we're going to war against the Chinese Communist Party.

00:13:13.780There is a, if you will, a parallel possibility here that recognizes the fact that the money that these, you mentioned Schwarzman, Dalio, I think all of the big boys on Wall Street who were playing China games, the reality is that their money isn't in China.

00:13:42.780Their money has been brought back here and put into accounts and instruments and securities of all kinds.
00:13:51.840And their fortune is a mound that rises in America and Europe and is basically not even present, except for the pittances they leave in China to amuse the Chinese.

00:26:36.500And these people, the people you're talking about, the actors in the deep state, these are twisted, corrupt people.

00:26:55.060And I think the more and more that we as Americans can understand what our struggle is really about, when we look at things like CRT, critical race theory, when we look at January 6th, when we look at this, this these obscene attacks on school children.

00:29:33.680No, what that shows is it shows there are cracks because the because the progressive faction, the Biden Obama faction, believes that the FBI will be their praetorian guard.

00:29:52.760They believe that's the praetorian guard and they can get it to do whatever they want.
00:30:26.600And I want to give great credit to Congressman Chip Roy, to Congressman Troy Nels and others who are moving, introducing a bill that would create oversight over the entire federal workforce and strip, strip away the, if you will, the protections for mediocrity and failure to perform in their jobs.
00:30:54.340This would be, I think, an immense help to the country, to the government, to every irrespective of party.
00:31:02.220And I hope that we can see that push through if and when the Republicans win in November.
00:31:09.260I would like to think that Republicans right now, especially the America First candidates and the people who are sitting right now in the House of Representatives, especially though some senators as well, are gathering evidence on all sorts of things, including January 6th.
00:31:28.320We know that they've advised the January 6th committee not to lose any records.
00:32:07.160And it's time for our elected officials to recognize that and represent that publicly and say, hey, we hear you, just like Glenn Youngkin did regarding the CRT stuff and other sick stuff that's going on in public education.
00:32:27.060Yeah, we have, you know, in talking about governors, we have to give a number of governors, I think, some considerable credit, particularly.
00:32:37.840I know he's considered a rival to President Trump.

00:32:49.880But what I do want to commend is his his America first policies that he is enacting almost daily.
00:32:57.100I think he is an administration that is a model for every governor in the United States.
00:33:07.020And this man is going to emerge as a very, very tall figure standing high in the years to come because of what he is doing for the people of Florida, for decency, for justice, for truth, and for the American way.
00:35:49.040First of all, I just have to add, since I'm now a native son of the state of South Carolina, I mean, we have a good governor, Governor McMaster.
00:35:58.300But our Attorney General, Alan Wilson, he's great.
