The Great America Show - ROLLINS SAYS TRUMP WILL PREVAIL AGAINST ALL THREATS AND CHALLENGERS OF EITHER PARTY

00:00:00.180 Hello, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs, and this is The Great America Show.

00:00:05.320 I want to begin, if I may, with a confession.

00:00:08.200 I haven't watched even a minute of the so-called January 6 hearings.

00:00:12.600 I know what they are. We all know what their partisan purpose is.

00:00:16.820 And we know that, like everything else, the Marxist stems do and say

00:00:21.600 corruption and evil permeate their sordid deeds and venomous lies.

00:00:26.540 I have no time anymore for any of their deceit.

00:00:30.900 I've read accounts of the hearing, and I understand the best they could do

00:00:34.820 was bring forward President Trump's daughter, Ivanka,

00:00:37.740 who aligned herself with a committee instead of her father.

00:00:42.820 Ivanka allowed herself to be used by the committee against the man

00:00:46.100 who's given her everything in life, including roles within his presidency.

00:00:50.360 Not good.

00:00:51.600 But there's nothing good at all with the Marxist Dems

00:00:54.700 who intend to destroy the republic and our very way of life.

00:00:59.020 President Biden's policies are devastating American working men and women

00:01:03.340 and their families.

00:01:04.700 Our middle class is being crushed by sky-high gasoline and food prices,

00:01:09.060 and there's no relief in sight.

00:01:11.500 The inflation rate now stands at 8.6%.

00:01:14.940 That is the highest level in 41 years, more than four decades.

00:01:22.080 Biden is the ultimate albatross around the neck of the Democrat Party.

00:01:27.620 They had such low regard for the nation and Americans that they gave him power, 1.00

00:01:32.980 knowing his incapacity and singular lack of ability to effectively serve as president.

00:01:39.420 Biden has been a disaster in every way possible,

00:01:43.120 and the American people are paying a high price for his ineptitude

00:01:47.300 and the Dems' callous contempt for both the presidency and the American people,

00:01:53.400 and indifference to the painful consequences of having put Biden in the White House.

00:01:59.920 Voters' will, it now appears, punish the Dems, and severely,

00:02:04.440 in this fall's midterm elections.

00:02:06.240 For the first time, some GOP strategists are now talking about winning 60 or more seats in the House,

00:02:13.980 and a few are talking about winning back the Senate by a large margin.

00:02:19.420 Our guest today is Ed Rollins.

00:02:21.660 He's the dean of Republican Strategists, a legendary strategist and campaign manager.

00:02:27.900 Rollins led the 1984 Reagan presidential campaign

00:02:31.380 and came close, this close, to perfection.

00:02:34.640 He won 49 out of 50 states.

00:02:38.920 That's one of the reasons we here on The Great America Show call Ed the savant among all Republican strategists.

00:02:48.320 Ed Rollins, it's great to have you back with us.

00:02:50.980 The savant himself on the elections, the primary elections.

00:02:57.360 Give us your sense of what you can divine from it all, Ed.

00:03:01.600 Well, the most important election, as far as I'm concerned, yesterday was when the district attorney of San Francisco was recalled.

00:03:10.160 This is one of the George Soros's.

00:03:12.380 George Soros, a multibillionaire, has basically run a bunch of candidates who don't believe in the law and order,

00:03:17.760 or even prosecutors run district attorney candidates all over the country.

00:03:23.640 And Bodine, it was the San Francisco district attorney elected two years ago,

00:03:27.480 got to be called yesterday by the public in San Francisco.

00:03:31.160 I think that's a trend in which these guys, this is a former public defender who basically decided his job was not prosecuted.

00:03:39.140 His job was making sure no one got prosecuted.

00:03:41.200 And my sense is that even in San Francisco, they stood up and they voted him out of office.

00:03:48.240 Well, it was an amazing, I never expected it to happen.

00:03:53.420 I thought that he might get a scare.

00:03:55.520 At best, I never dreamed that they would actually, actually roll over him and vote to get him the heck out of there.

00:04:07.000 Well, the issue of law and order, which the Democrats have tried to take by defunding the police

00:04:14.180 and by not taking criminals and putting them in jail, is really backfiring on them.

00:04:18.360 It's one of the most devastating things that they've done of late, the congressional side.

00:04:22.440 I mean, the president's a different story.

00:04:24.500 And I think, you know, when you hear James Carville and people like that on TV saying,

00:04:28.260 we've got to get away from this, defund the police because it's backfiring on us,

00:04:32.800 I think it's a very positive thing.

00:04:34.660 And if we start throwing these prosecutors out, the guy here is the district attorney of New York

00:04:39.060 who doesn't believe in prosecuting either, in spite of his background as a prosecutor.

00:04:43.320 I think this is going to send a very loud signal.

00:04:47.020 Your job as a district attorney is to basically represent the people and make sure that bad guys go to jail.

00:04:52.200 He clearly didn't do that, didn't believe in doing that.

00:04:55.560 Crime is up in San Francisco dramatically, as it is everywhere else in the country, every other major city.

00:05:00.320 And if you don't have a prosecutor's putting away, no matter what the cops do, you're not going to, the system's going to break down.

00:05:07.500 And I think what's happening is a lot of the police officers are saying, why should I put myself at risk?

00:05:12.220 I arrest somebody, I put them in jail.

00:05:14.000 I'm trying to put them in jail, and they're out 24 hours later or 10 hours later because there's no bail.

00:05:18.620 There's no prosecutors that want to put them in jail.

00:05:21.120 I have to say that the L.A. prosecutor is in big trouble as well, and I fully expect him to get recalled.

00:05:34.120 He's up against a very popular sheriff who he keeps wanting to butt heads with,

00:05:39.700 and he's really not in the league of Sheriff Villanueva, who is an outstanding, he's a Democrat,

00:05:46.480 but he's an outstanding law and order sheriff. 0.96

00:05:48.860 He is a serious man, and this fool keeps running into him, claiming, first of all, 0.95

00:05:55.060 that this guy had agreed to a plea deal, that the sheriff had agreed to this plea deal 0.98

00:06:01.080 that was being protested, a hit-and-run, and he never talked to the sheriff.

00:06:07.460 The sheriff wasn't even the jurisdiction.

00:06:09.500 The sheriff's office wasn't even the jurisdiction for the incident. 1.00

00:06:13.440 He's a sloppy and stupid man trying to play reformer, and what he's doing is unleashing hell on the people of Los Angeles County. 1.00

00:06:26.060 It's really outrageous. 1.00

00:06:27.680 Well, California, which is where I grew up, most liberal state, or one of the most liberal states in the country,

00:06:33.920 is now saying that you need the police, you need law enforcement, you need prosecuting.

00:06:38.440 And I think, to a certain extent, it's a good underlying issue for Republicans everywhere.

00:06:45.460 And I think because it's the issue the country wants, we can talk about all the gun reform and all the rest of it,

00:06:50.580 you want to, but at the end of the day here, more and more people want to defend themselves,

00:06:54.880 and they worry about getting mugged.

00:06:56.240 I live in New York City every day, two or three blocks from my house, and I'm right in the middle of the city.

00:07:05.900 Upper East Side, there's some mugging, there's someone getting shot in the subway,

00:07:10.160 and the new mayor, basically, who got elected because he was a former ex-cop and talked about law and order,

00:07:16.900 is now basically running around doing nothing but going to dinner parties and fancy openings

00:07:22.160 and talking about running for president, which is absurd.

00:07:24.180 Yeah, well, he's a cute little fella, Eric, what is it, Eric Adams? 0.95

00:07:29.160 This guy was a phony, he had it stamped all over him.

00:07:32.340 First thing he did was try to hire his brother on a quarter of a million dollar a year job. 1.00

00:07:37.220 Tells you what a jackass he is. 0.99

00:07:39.740 These guys are just, they're real creeps, every one of them. 1.00

00:07:44.080 I would think that in New York City in particular, but New York State at large,

00:07:50.960 certainly amongst the Democratic Party, 0.93

00:07:53.400 you can just about take it to the bank that they're phonies, they're frauds,

00:07:57.600 and they're not working for the people.

00:07:59.040 They're working for themselves and other interests, whoever's lining whose pockets.

00:08:05.360 It's outrageous how corrupt New York is, and certainly it's not alone.

00:08:11.180 We've got a lot of it, whether it's New Jersey, Connecticut, the Eastern Seaboard, Maryland, Delaware,

00:08:18.240 that you just go down the line.

00:08:20.280 It is disgusting what has happened to American politics.

00:08:23.440 You and I talk often about the political corruption of the FBI, the Department of Justice,

00:08:30.520 the entire Biden administration, and the deep state.

00:08:33.880 It's all there.

00:08:34.620 But what people forget, it's also on the border.

00:08:38.580 Both sides of that border are controlled by the cartels.

00:08:41.440 There's corruption on both sides of it.

00:08:43.960 We're seeing corruption in municipalities, small cities and large.

00:08:49.760 It's really disgusting, the state of America right now,

00:08:53.260 when it comes to political corruption, isn't it?

00:08:55.520 Absolutely.

00:08:57.300 And the point you make about south of the border of the war,

00:09:01.080 a million people have been allowed illegally into the country

00:09:04.240 by this administration in the last couple of months.

00:09:07.640 And there's another gigantic vanguard on its way up here.

00:09:11.740 I mean, they arrest them at the border.

00:09:14.460 They put a tag on them, and they send them in. 0.52

00:09:16.260 They tell them they can't be two years before we try you,

00:09:19.560 so you go live in America, which they'll never leave America again.

00:09:23.740 So it's the biggest failure of this administration,

00:09:28.000 one of the biggest failures.

00:09:29.320 Yeah, we're looking at 5 to 7 million illegal immigrants,

00:09:32.960 is the estimate, for the rest of this next year,

00:09:37.920 coming into the country as a result of Joe Biden's invitation.

00:09:42.200 And let me be very clear to everyone, if I may,

00:09:45.560 this is the Biden administration is pro-cartel.

00:09:49.760 Why do I say that he's pro-cartel?

00:09:52.160 Well, because he is wide open on the border.

00:09:55.840 He insists on that border being wide open.

00:09:58.700 He's inviting these people in, and these people are. 0.90

00:10:01.780 They are drug traffickers. 1.00

00:10:04.260 They are sex traffickers. 1.00

00:10:06.100 They are human smugglers. 1.00

00:10:07.740 They are the cartels. 0.79

00:10:10.320 And they are bringing death and devastation into this country

00:10:14.940 from that border every single day.

00:10:18.900 And this president has ordered his, and by the way,

00:10:23.060 Secretary Mayorkas of the Department of Homeland Security,

00:10:26.420 is insisting that the Border Patrol not patrol the border.

00:10:30.220 It's that straightforward.

00:10:31.680 Immigration and customs enforcement cannot enforce immigration and customs on those illegal immigrants.

00:10:43.600 It is a, it's an absurdity.

00:10:46.600 It is an obscenity right now in America.

00:10:49.900 What this president, what this administration, the Marxist Dems are doing.

00:10:54.600 I don't know how in the world, and you tell me, how are they going to win an election?

00:11:01.520 They've determined that the American people, the American citizen is the enemy of this government.

00:11:06.880 They're doing everything, everything they can to frustrate and to eliminate the American citizen. 0.92

00:11:14.260 And we're now seeing the real breakdown, and one of the most important things that Trump did as president

00:11:19.260 was he worked very hard on that border control, and he battled it for the whole four years he was there.

00:11:26.560 And now to see the open doors, it was a picture on the front page of the New York Post two days ago,

00:11:31.420 15,000, 20,000 people in line coming across the borders illegally,

00:11:36.360 marching from deeper and deeper in central and lower part of the hemisphere.

00:11:42.360 And I think it's just, you know, once they get here, their life is going to be different and better.

00:11:48.840 But Americans are going to pay for it.

00:11:51.600 Well, we're definitely paying for it.

00:11:53.440 And I think everyone understands that this is an administration that has decided it's going to put the cost of this

00:12:02.200 on the local taxpayer, the local school system, the property taxes, property owners.

00:12:09.540 And there won't be compensation of any kind.

00:12:12.220 There won't be any offsets because corporate America wants cheap labor. 1.00

00:12:17.700 And the joke, the veil, all of it, it's all over.

00:12:23.140 The joke has been told, the cover has been lifted, the veil from the eyes of people watching this.

00:12:31.060 They know that this is, without question, an attempt to set back the American worker to create competition for American workers who have plenty of competition from inflation,

00:12:43.380 high energy prices, the price of houses and rentals going through the roof.

00:12:48.440 And now he wants another five to seven million illegal immigrants in the country for everybody to pay for and to compete against the lowest paid American workers. 0.86

00:13:03.600 Exactly what what we don't need in this country.

00:13:07.900 It's outrageous. I don't see how they win.

00:13:10.640 I mean, how do you campaign unless the electorate is just stupid beyond belief? 0.99

00:13:16.380 And we know that the Democratic voters are willing to vote in blocks that are breathtaking in their uniformity and cohesion, irrespective of their own interest. 0.99

00:13:28.660 Well, even even though there's a redistribution, the illegals come across the border and there's lots of evidence now they're putting on airplanes and flying them upstate New York and other parts at our government's cost.

00:13:43.140 Now, the idea that this is these are someone and I'm not anti immigration, I'm very pro immigration, but I'm not I'm not for illegal immigration.

00:13:51.040 And we're never going to basically ever have a decent immigration bill again, as long as this behavior continues, you're never going to sit down and justify the means that it's going to take to do this properly.

00:14:02.240 So I think this is this is now the Democrat policy and they need to be paid the price for it.

00:14:08.880 Let me ask you this. How does the Democratic Party ever be taken seriously again?

00:14:13.500 In all seriousness, why should there be any discussion whatsoever with it?

00:14:20.180 Why should the Republican Party talk about anything with Joe Biden or his administration or Chuck Schumer or Nancy Pelosi?

00:14:28.400 They have willfully, knowingly conspired to overthrow a president.

00:14:33.180 They persecuted him for seven years and continue to do so through the January 6th committee.

00:14:38.020 We know that they have aligned themselves with the deep state, which is thoroughly politically corrupt, as we've discussed. 0.98

00:14:44.980 Why would any Republican tolerate the presence of one of these these ignorant outlaws in the Democratic Party? 0.99

00:14:57.820 We know that their purpose is to upend the nation and to destroy America. 0.99

00:15:03.280 What is the sense of it all?

00:15:05.400 Well, they need more people like you who are telling them that, because what's happened is the country's got very numb to all that disinterested and the young people, especially they don't realize the consequences of it.

00:15:20.300 It's just it's not going to be the same America that you and I grew up in and certainly not going to be beneficial to those who are going to go up and have to have to move forward.

00:15:29.740 And the idea that in a very short period of time, turn the whole game upside down.

00:15:37.020 That's what's occurring.

00:15:38.740 You know, we look at China and the threats and everyone is concerned about it, and appropriately so. 1.00

00:15:44.560 They are a threat to our very existence.

00:15:47.700 So is Russia, Iran.

00:15:49.320 We now learn that Iran is only weeks away from having sufficient enriched uranium to build their first nuclear weapon.

00:15:59.020 And there is great concern being expressed by our brothers and sisters in Europe, the French United Kingdom, the Germans, very concerned because they've also shut down the cameras at the enrichment site so that no one can see what's going on.

00:16:15.860 They've done so bald-faced, boldly, and basically simply dismissed the International Atomic Energy Agency from having any oversight.

00:16:30.060 We now know we are at the precipice of Iran having the bomb. 0.79

00:16:35.320 And what is Macron doing?

00:16:37.560 What is Boris Johnson doing?

00:16:40.400 They're going to have to lead because this president sure the heck can't.

00:16:43.860 This is the last person I would think even the Europeans would want leading on this critical and important issue as to whether or not we will stop Iran from putting that bomb into creating it into reality. 0.97

00:17:01.640 Well, they're going to build a bomb.

00:17:03.720 That's been their intent all the way forward if they haven't got it already done.

00:17:06.540 And even more than just building it, they're going to use it.

00:17:11.100 They hate us.

00:17:12.260 They made it very clear from the get-go they hate us.

00:17:15.520 They have no qualms whatsoever about destroying American citizens elsewhere in here.

00:17:20.800 In my sense, this is just kind of a lack of, oh, they won't do that.

00:17:25.700 We have an agreement.

00:17:26.800 We have an agreement.

00:17:27.980 They'll live up to their terms of the agreement.

00:17:30.820 This is making us safe.

00:17:31.960 Letting them build nuclear stuff is going to make us safer.

00:17:35.240 It's the most absurd argument I've ever heard by the Democrats, but they're making it all the time.

00:17:38.760 Yeah, they're making it over time, and the Republican Party isn't saying a word.

00:17:44.720 Ed, this is the quietest I've heard Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy be, the leader of the Senate and the House.

00:17:52.740 This is a party that is afraid to whisper, whisper their concerns or the issues that are confronting the American people.

00:18:03.400 Even some solace would be of some help to the American working man and woman in this country and their families at a time when they're paying $5, $6 in California, $7, $8 in some places.

00:18:19.700 Their rents are going through the roof.

00:18:22.320 Inflation has run away.

00:18:23.340 We're running out.

00:18:24.060 We can't feed our babies for crying out loud formula.

00:18:27.300 We're doing airlifts of a baby formula for crying out loud.

00:18:33.580 We're looking at the prospect of all kinds of shortages.

00:18:37.440 What in the world is the Republican Party doing, trying to run out the clock, expecting a wave election in November?

00:18:46.260 I don't even know what they'll do with a wave election.

00:18:48.240 I mean, my sense is McCarthy is every single day is trying to make sure he doesn't lose any of his votes.

00:18:53.500 And when you're worried about being a leader and you're not a leader, obviously, there's consequences.

00:19:01.920 You know, the Republicans have a tremendous opportunity to go forth and win big, not just to win, but win big.

00:19:07.940 But it'd be very nice if they run out with an agenda.

00:19:10.140 If they have an agenda to take on the Democrats and articulate, of course, to the campaign when people are paying attention, what the Democrats are about,

00:19:17.780 you have a better chance of taking that agenda and placing it in.

00:19:23.300 But McCarthy's only worried about his own votes.

00:19:26.740 And I want to tell him, I haven't been around the game for 50 years.

00:19:31.300 Speakers don't do well after they get there.

00:19:33.940 You look through the segment of the last Republican speakers.

00:19:37.720 Nancy Pelosi will get a building named after her.

00:19:40.140 That's about the ultimate a speaker can have.

00:19:42.440 But in my lifetime, I've watched Newt Gingrich get driven out of office.

00:19:46.640 I've watched Denny Astrid not only get driven out of office, go to jail.

00:19:53.720 He watched Paul Ryan basically leave and go to work for corporate America.

00:20:03.260 John Boehner, who basically ended up now selling marijuana on the board of some major company selling marijuana.

00:20:09.640 None of them basically have a legacy.

00:20:13.080 And so the fact that McCarthy is selling his soul, which is what he's doing every single day here, to get to be a speaker without saying,

00:20:21.540 this is what we're going to do.

00:20:22.320 This is why I want to be speaking.

00:20:23.220 I want to be speaking to do this, to lead this party, is absurd to me.

00:20:27.360 That's who we are.

00:20:29.020 McConnell, I think, is sitting here in the 50, 50, you know, and he has three or four issues that matter to him and everything else is not relevant.

00:20:38.780 Yeah.

00:20:39.640 Well, one thing that's not relevant to him is the interest of the party or the interest of the American working man and woman,

00:20:48.260 the Trump forgotten man and woman in this country, the America First agenda.

00:20:54.760 I can't figure out what Mitch McConnell thinks his value is to the nation,

00:21:01.520 but he certainly overestimated it no matter what he thinks it is.

00:21:06.480 But I would just like to get a sense from you.

00:21:10.620 As we you mentioned, Paul Ryan, I can't let that go with.

00:21:13.600 I mean, he sits on the board of Fox, makes a few hundred thousand dollars, and then he's out trying to buck Donald Trump's endorsed candidates.

00:21:24.180 And one that he chose to get rid of, and that's Tom Rice in South Carolina.

00:21:32.640 So naturally, Paul Ryan's trying to get some relevance by going out there and boosting him and claiming the Republican Party was too cowardly to impeach President Trump.

00:21:43.420 He neglected to mention the fact that they did find that he was not guilty of any charges and further, further that it was a farce and a lie. 0.99

00:21:56.040 Anyway, Ryan is a despicable, deceitful, ignorant excuse for a public official, and for him to be parading around like he thinks he is some kind of all that is, to me, just disgusting. 0.97

00:22:12.940 Anyway, your thoughts about this figure as Speaker, he was the reluctant Speaker, everyone remembers. 0.98

00:22:21.680 He was also the so-called Wonka on the budget, and he never got a, he never stopped the spending and the deficits only ballooned under his Speakership.

00:22:34.540 He was a complete fraud as well.

00:22:36.500 Your thoughts?

00:22:37.580 Well, don't forget, he was also the vice presidential candidate for Mitt Romney.

00:22:40.500 Yeah, he did a great job, too, didn't he?

00:22:44.080 His intention at that point in time was he wanted to run for president.

00:22:47.440 He thought he was going to use the Speakership and get enough mileage out of it to go run for president, which, thank goodness, none of that happened.

00:22:55.860 My frustration, again, is as a Republican, and I've been a Republican since 1972, the Nixon administration, Nixon campaign in 72 is when I switched.

00:23:08.620 And I think, to a certain extent, I have suffered, I've had some great days, and I've had some bad days.

00:23:15.540 But I think today we're now at a point where, by default, by the Democrats' ineptitude, we have a chance of being the lead party again in both the House and the Senate.

00:23:25.960 But instead of Trump, who's the most popular Republican, and easily would be if he chose to run for election, which I assume he will at the end here, will be a very strong candidate and can win the presidency back again, certainly against Joe Biden.

00:23:38.860 But I think the reality here is we kind of come together and support him.

00:23:44.160 That's the intent.

00:23:46.300 If you're going to fight him, you're going to lose the battles.

00:23:48.860 And as he's proven, now, he needs to basically get through this process here in the next few weeks.

00:23:55.640 He's got all kinds of legal things chasing him.

00:23:57.680 And he needs to basically watch people who served him who are not serving him well now, including his son-in-law, who's going to be one of the lead witnesses against him in this coming week.

00:24:10.420 So my sense is he has to say, this is what I'm going to do different.

00:24:16.400 He really needs to quit arguing about the last election.

00:24:19.460 That's done.

00:24:20.020 It's not going to change.

00:24:21.300 What he really has to argue is, I lost a close election, and I'm going to win this next one by doing it right.

00:24:26.680 And equally as important, here's my agenda, and here's what I did right compared to the guy that's in there today.

00:24:32.160 And if he does that, I think that he has a tremendous opportunity to win with a second man in history to ever come back after defeat and have a second turn that's totally different than the first term, not in the sense of the agenda, but in the sense of making the country support him better.

00:24:47.720 Yeah, I would only disagree with one part of what you said.

00:24:51.380 I think this president and every Republican should be talking about the rigged election of 2020, Ed.

00:24:57.620 We know now that his own attorney general refused to intervene knowing that Joe Biden was lying in the second and final debate of 2020, lying about the Hunter Biden laptop, lying about its contents, lying about Russian disinformation.

00:25:15.740 A.G. Barr knew all of that was false and yet said the reason he didn't speak up as he heard it happen, live and in color in that second debate was because he didn't want to intervene in the election.

00:25:30.300 And so by doing, he intervened on behalf of Joe Biden.

00:25:33.960 And in point of fact, he changed history.

00:25:37.480 There were lots of other instances in which history was changed and President Trump betrayed.

00:25:43.680 But that, to me, foremost and first among them, all of the irregularities, we now know that hundreds of thousands of votes should not have been counted, absentee ballots that were not filed in time, signatures that were never matched on ballots, and they amount to literally millions of votes that were irregular and lawfully counted.

00:26:11.020 So when you say we should just put that behind us, I really think the Republican Party and Ronna McDaniel, the chair of the RNC, really need to keep it first and foremost in front of them because they have a lot of work to do going into November 8th this year to make certain that this is not a rigged election, don't you think?

00:26:32.560 I would always worry about rigged elections, and certainly there are a lot of improprieties that occurred last time.

00:26:41.160 My point is, if you want to argue that, that the election is stolen from me, you're going to lose the ability to go out and articulate what it is that you can do in the second term.

00:26:50.760 And I think that's just, as a strategist, I believe it's always about the future, not the past.

00:26:57.640 You can have other people out doing surrogate work, but at the end of the day here, you know, Trump himself has to say, listen, here's what I did.

00:27:06.180 You know, the issue right now is no one remembers, you and I do, and many of the people in the country that support him do.

00:27:11.620 You know, here's what I did, and here's what this guy did, done do me.

00:27:14.620 Let's start again on the border.

00:27:16.020 Let's talk about the economy.

00:27:17.500 Let's talk about the military.

00:27:19.060 Let's talk about the things that were very successful and move forward.

00:27:24.600 When you start arguing the minutiae, which is not minutiae in the sense that it wasn't an election that was questionable,

00:27:31.980 and you send the characters out that are out there defending it, not meaning you, but I mean,

00:27:36.160 I watched Peter Navarro go on MSNDC and talk himself into an indictment.

00:27:42.260 You know, he wasn't the campaign guy, but he went on MSNBC and laid out the case against him.

00:27:49.300 He's now going to be indicted by the Congress or maybe the Justice Department.

00:27:54.240 Argue about what you accomplished.

00:27:56.240 You know, I've not heard a word out of him about his trade policy, what Trump did on the trade policy.

00:28:01.080 Talk about the accomplishments.

00:28:02.280 Talk about the things that you did if you want to be successful.

00:28:05.380 And if the Trump administration is going to be the same cast of characters coming back again, even against Joe Biden, they're going to have a close election.

00:28:13.820 They have an opportunity to go across this country.

00:28:15.740 He won't have the same cast of characters.

00:28:17.540 I guarantee you that because it's just not on the cards.

00:28:24.260 But let's talk about Peter Navarro.

00:28:26.940 Here he is picked up in Tennessee by the FBI, treated like a drug kingpin, put in handcuffs, thrown into the cell with leg irons.

00:28:43.540 And I have to tell you, Ed, I think people need to talk about that.

00:28:48.660 I think Mitch McConnell should be talking about it.

00:28:50.840 I think Kevin McCarthy, because this is who the left has become.

00:28:55.620 They're tyrannical. 0.56

00:28:57.000 They're totalitarian. 1.00

00:28:58.480 And they're ignorant as hell. 1.00

00:29:00.700 And if you know what? 0.99

00:29:01.720 I mean, the truth of the matter is what they are trying to build is, you know, it's we've seen a lot of guideposts in history, whether it's communism, whether it's Nazism.

00:29:14.180 Whatever form, totalitarianism.

00:29:17.940 This is it, brother.

00:29:19.580 We are looking at a point in American history I never thought possible.

00:29:25.400 Did you?

00:29:26.740 No.

00:29:27.340 And I certainly am defensive of the way Peter was arrested.

00:29:32.420 My point is that Peter talked to himself in an indictment by going on MSNBC thinking he was going to make his case.

00:29:37.500 But the idea that you take a 72 year old man who lives four blocks from the FBI headquarters and go arrest him in an airport and treat him like a criminal that's a multi murderer is absurd.

00:29:52.360 They did it with a guy that's not one of my favorites, but Roger Stone, when they went in and broke into his house and, you know, with an army.

00:30:00.960 You know, we're talking earlier about these these prosecutors that don't prosecute the idea of the FBI watching the little girls who are all the great gymnasts basically go in and sue the federal government FBI for a billion dollars this week.

00:30:16.480 Uh, because they were not treated well and they weren't treated well and the FBI basically was a co-conspirator.

00:30:22.820 The FBI ignored their complaints.

00:30:25.340 It wasn't just being treated.

00:30:27.100 They didn't do their job.

00:30:28.900 And how many, and how many, and think about this, how many in the justice department haven't done their jobs?

00:30:34.980 How many have instead violated laws?

00:30:38.000 Uh, I think that the number, uh, the equation will look very lopsided in favor of breaking laws by the FBI rather than enforcing the laws.

00:30:48.800 It's disgusting.

00:30:50.120 Uh, and when you say Peter Navarro got himself indicted, let me, let me defend Peter.

00:30:54.800 And as you know, I mean, he, he didn't get himself indicted.

00:31:00.020 Uh, this is a, this is a bunch of jackals, uh, in a Stalinist, uh, committee. 0.75

00:31:06.340 Uh, this is nothing more than totalitarianism at its worst.

00:31:10.920 And they decided to go after him because he is a former advisor to president Trump. 0.98

00:31:16.680 The ignorance abounds. 0.72

00:31:18.260 And we have got to, I've got to share with you something that Lee Smith, who wrote the plot to overthrow the president, as you know,

00:31:24.720 a great journalist, a terrific American, uh, he, uh, and, uh, he, I'm going to just talk about what his view is rather than others.

00:31:34.700 His great fear is that this is a pretext, the January 6th committee had to lead to the arrest of president Trump for obstruction of justice.

00:31:46.860 That's what his great fear is.

00:31:49.220 Uh, and he, and he thinks, holy hell will break loose.

00:31:52.800 Uh, if indeed that is what happens, I'd like to get your reaction to his fears and how, how likely you think they may be.

00:32:00.840 Uh, and, uh, your, your consideration as, uh, as the, as the resident savant of the great America show.

00:32:07.960 Well, my, my, my great, my great fear is, is very much on those lines.

00:32:12.660 Uh, uh, I think this, this 500 days after this, I mean, I think you could have gone in and I was appalled by the behavior of January 6th, breaking into the Capitol and all the rest of it.

00:32:23.800 But in about two weeks, you can take in all the films of all the people that were there because it was everywhere and arrest the rest of the guys who basically broke in, uh, and, and prosecuted me.

00:32:32.140 500 days later, this committee has been working and trying to find every insignificant item you could, uh, and harass a lot of people and make a lot of people criminals and aren't criminals.

00:32:41.880 Uh, but at the end of the day here, I think there is an agenda.

00:32:44.900 And I think the agenda is they, they don't want to have a electoral college.

00:32:48.100 They want to redo, redo that, uh, undo that, make everything democratically elected, uh, uh, in their mind, uh, which is a popular vote, which with states like New York and, and, and, and California, which gives an eight or 10 vote million.

00:33:02.140 And that's not the way our system was set up.

00:33:05.120 We're an electoral set up by our constitution has been implemented for hundreds of years by, by, uh, by the constitution guiding it.

00:33:14.200 And I, I just worry that, that their agenda, they have an agenda, they have a plan.

00:33:18.100 We don't have a plan.

00:33:19.220 And I'm just arguing we need to have a defense and the defense at this point in time is, uh, is to go out and, and some, and we're not going to have the help of the media.

00:33:28.440 Uh, uh, the idea that you're going to put this on six network shows, uh, with a TV producer, uh, uh, starting this Thursday night with the sole purpose.

00:33:38.960 And whose claim to fame is that he, while the head of ABC news suppressed the Jeffrey Epstein story and, and covered it up.

00:33:49.880 Well, I can go on all day about, about television today and what it's become.

00:33:54.220 And, and, and especially talking about him, I'm talking about him.

00:33:57.600 This is the kind of low life that he is in the business.

00:34:00.460 And that's who they put in this place.

00:34:02.300 There's going to be more discussion about him than there's going to be about whatever witnesses in front of the committee.

00:34:07.260 Believe me.

00:34:08.500 Well, if it's, even under the best of pretense, if it was a public hearing, you don't need to bring in TV producers to produce it.

00:34:15.160 Uh, uh, you basically put people up in front of the Congress, uh, and you testify.

00:34:20.040 Uh, but this is a show, uh, and they, and they want it to be a big rating show.

00:34:23.640 They see it as part of the political process, the turnaround, the Democrats, uh, failing practices today and give them a leg up to basically help them in the election.

00:34:32.060 And it's not going to, but my, my sense is, I think, I think the country is going to be too bored with it after the first show.

00:34:38.640 And I think to a certain extent, they don't understand the changes in the American electorate, the way it, uh, it looks at things.

00:34:44.120 And I think to a certain extent, uh, uh, you, you're going to, you're going to see, you're going to see some people who should not be testifying, testifying.

00:34:52.120 Uh, you know, and, and I, and in fairness, uh, uh, some of these people like Peter and others, uh, you know, who, who are good, good citizens, uh,

00:35:01.700 who came to serve the president, it was a naivete about the ways of worship.

00:35:06.860 Uh, and, and, and, and so my whole point of him going on and talking about this green bag and all the rest of it, he was the trade advisor.

00:35:14.920 He should have been talking about trade.

00:35:16.340 He had a great record on trade.

00:35:18.040 Uh, uh, you know, they, they all thought at the end of the day, they had, they had to fight for the president.

00:35:22.840 Uh, there's nothing wrong with that.

00:35:24.380 It's just, you gotta be smart and they're not, they weren't smart.

00:35:28.800 Do you think Mitch McConnell's smart?

00:35:30.720 Oh, well, I smart enough, smart enough to survive.

00:35:34.260 Yeah.

00:35:35.120 Uh, do you think Kevin, Kevin McCarthy's smart?

00:35:39.300 I mean, do you think the Republican party is smart?

00:35:41.880 Because I got to tell you, they're stayed out of trouble, but they sure haven't done anything for anybody else.

00:35:48.360 And that's the great sin here.

00:35:50.360 We've got thousands of people who have been persecuted by the January 6th committee, the justice department and the FBI.

00:35:58.380 Uh, many of them, uh, you know, it's case after case where what it was, was a matter of trespass.

00:36:04.600 That's a public building, by the way.

00:36:06.740 And the public is welcome there.

00:36:08.720 Many of, by the way, of those so-called rioters were invited into the buildings.

00:36:13.620 Uh, and there are 14,000 hours of video that won't be released by, uh, by Nancy Pelosi because they know very well it would embarrass them and destroy their entire case.

00:36:24.400 This is a lie to the American people.

00:36:27.380 This is a propaganda effort.

00:36:29.460 This is nothing more than that.

00:36:32.600 And for us to even have a serious discussion about, uh, you know, what, what, uh, what poor Peter Navarro got into, you know, whether he had, uh, whether he piqued the interest of the committee or not.

00:36:47.180 He is a private citizen who was treated like a criminal, and that is disgusting, and it is, it should scare the hell out of every American that an FBI agent of any kind would have behaved like that, because that means that the corruption is pervasive through the FBI.

00:37:07.700 And that is appalling.

00:37:10.200 Uh, and I think that is a great lesson of this, uh, don't you?

00:37:14.480 Absolutely.

00:37:14.840 Uh, you know, I've been investigated by the FBI.

00:37:19.160 I was never charged with a crime, but I was investigated by the FBI.

00:37:22.060 They sent two agents in to talk to you, and they sit down, uh, uh, and they, they write prolific notes, uh, and then they drag you through about five more processes, and anywhere along the line, if they say, you said the and you meant uh, uh, they can nail you for lying, and they tell you that right up front.

00:37:39.260 So, my advice to anybody, anytime anybody with the FBI knocks on their door, say, give me my lawyer.

00:37:44.920 Uh, don't, uh, don't talk to any FBI agent ever without a lawyer.

00:37:49.200 Uh, and if you don't have that, uh, you can pay a price.

00:37:52.460 Most citizens see the FBI as still a good part of the government, and they want to, they think I didn't do anything wrong, so therefore I'll, I'll basically cooperate with them.

00:38:00.840 Uh, which is what they tell you, we're not here to prosecute, we're here just to get some information.

00:38:05.860 Well, the first thing they can get you on is lying to an FBI agent, and that means what you said today and what you say six months from now, it better be exactly the same.

00:38:14.660 And when I give advice to clients, I say, let's write the story down, what exactly you did or didn't do, uh, and you memorize that script and you stick with that script all the way, you never move off of it.

00:38:24.520 Uh, so make sure it's right and correct, uh, and I do, I've done a lot of legal work with, with people who have the two FBI agents knock on the door, scares you to death, uh, let alone what Navarro went through, uh, uh, and, and the idea of, again, all you have to say, go ahead, I'm sorry, go ahead.

00:38:42.860 All you have to say is, you know, show, show up, have your lawyer, we'll serve your lawyer, we'll serve you, uh, you know, it's just a question of passing the paper, you don't need to arrest the guy.

00:38:53.480 Well, let's, let's, let's hope nobody has, has to deal with the FBI, uh, or be investigated by the FBI, but let's remember who was, and that was general Michael Flynn and general Michael Flynn was framed by the FBI and everything about him was a lie, but the lies were told by the FBI and the department of justice.

00:39:16.920 He was speaking the truth and he was serving the nation.

00:39:21.140 And right now to watch this FBI act as though they were not a criminal body is appalling because they are, they have done more to hurt this country.

00:39:34.420 Uh, they have a national security division and I wonder, I wonder what they think of all that has transpired, the alliances they've made with the radical Marxists of the democratic party, uh, and their, the choices they've made.

00:39:50.820 Uh, I wonder how many FBI agents are actually sick to their stomach at what that agency has become and what they have done to the nation because the damage is devastating and it is all but complete.

00:40:06.420 Uh, and we have to decide what we're going to do about an FBI agency and a department of justice, uh, that, uh, has, has declared war on the American people.

00:40:20.020 It's that straightforward.

00:40:21.980 Uh, they are recognized and pointed directly at our hearts as American citizens.

00:40:27.480 And at this great Republic.

00:40:28.980 And what you're talking about, Ed is the overthrow of the Republic by the, by the Marxist Dems, the overthrow of the Republic, these FBI agents and this justice department should be investigating the democratic party and it's Marxist ties, uh, throughout.

00:40:46.360 That's what they should be investigating instead of aiding and abetting the criminal leftists in this nation.

00:40:54.600 The American people have got to be sick to their stomach to see what Biden has delivered inflation, the turmoil in the markets, devastated economy, uh, trying to get us into a war in Europe, uh, kowtowing to Xi Jinping and, and Iran.

00:41:15.820 Uh, these are, this is a moment that takes a consider considerable amount of intestinal fortitude and faith, uh, because we have much to work through, uh, as always, Ed, you get the last word.

00:41:32.500 We appreciate you being with us and your concluding thoughts.

00:41:37.220 My concluding thoughts are, uh, I think people should watch these shows on, on a Thursday night, uh, just so you know what they're saying.

00:41:45.820 And doing, uh, you know, many of our supporters won't bother and say it's all propaganda.

00:41:50.680 It's important to know what the propaganda is.

00:41:52.540 Uh, uh, you have to, you have to know what you're up against.

00:41:55.120 Uh, I, for years have watched MSNBC and CNN, in addition to being on Fox, uh, uh, Fox is where I go for the truth.

00:42:02.880 Uh, the other, the networks where I go to watch the other side, uh, pontificate, uh, and it's always important to know that.

00:42:09.780 So I would, I would argue if you're interested in America, you go watch this show and make sure you stop it, make sure you don't allow it to happen again.

00:42:16.380 And hopefully, uh, uh, president, former president and his team, uh, are able to fight it back against it.

00:42:23.320 Cause it's going to be very important because you're right.

00:42:26.060 They're going to try and prosecute.

00:42:27.300 They're going to try and indict him.

00:42:28.220 They're going to try and basically, uh, uh, make sure he never runs for office again.

00:42:32.520 Uh, because the one guy they know what can beat Biden easily is him.

00:42:36.200 The one guy that has a vision for the Republican party in the nation is Donald J.

00:42:41.880 Trump and nothing scares them more than this man.

00:42:45.420 That's why they're going after him.

00:42:46.660 By the way, on July 15th, the president, uh, we've received word, the president and, uh, uh, Donald Jr.

00:42:53.560 And Eric Trump will be, uh, testifying before the attorney general, uh, in that case, uh, the New York attorney.
