The Great America Show - THE GOV. WHITMER CASE IS ONE OF THE MOST DRAMATIC EGREGIOUS EXAMPLES OF FBI ENTRAPMENT IN BUREAU HISTORY

00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs, and this is The Great America Show.

00:00:04.820 Delighted to have you with us, and I'd like to begin today with a few thoughts on Joe Biden

00:00:09.840 and the bizarre circumstances of his highly questionable and outright illegitimate presidency.

00:00:17.200 And please note, I'm calling for his removal from office because he's too far gone for even the left

00:00:23.620 to pretend he is in any way fit for the presidency. Some will say, to what end?

00:00:30.000 Kamala Harris is nothing more than a dangerous, giggling, vacuous English-language assassin. 1.00

00:00:36.860 And that's true, sadly. But let's begin the job of cleaning up this Marxist Dems mess, 0.96

00:00:43.500 and at least we could begin to contain the Marxist Dem puppet master's plans for further damage to the Republic.

00:00:51.020 And in just over a year and a half in office, we've all witnessed just how destructive they can be.

00:00:56.980 And we must now act to take control of our wide-open borders. Thank you, Joe Biden.

00:01:03.340 End the Biden-sponsored free flow of fentanyl into the United States from China to the Mexican drug cartels.

00:01:10.440 Stop the unlimited illegal immigration and roll back the millions pouring into this country. 1.00

00:01:17.060 Fight against the cartel's sex trafficking and human smuggling of all kinds.

00:01:22.280 The Biden White House is so deeply aligned with the drug cartels that most in the corporatist media act as though we have no right to control our border.

00:01:34.280 We've gone from President Trump, who warred on the Mexican drug cartels, to Biden, who throws roses at their feet and turns over our entire southern border to the cartels.

00:01:46.380 We have one chance to reclaim America, the America that Biden and his Marxist Dem masters have taken from us, and that is to win on November 8 and win big.

00:01:58.060 That means shutting down the Marxist Dems' political persecutions, their corrupt ownership of the DOJ and the FBI, and their corrupt partnership with the deep state.

00:02:08.720 The Biden regime is more totalitarian by the day.

00:02:13.340 The raid on Mar-a-Lago, the January 6th committee outrages.

00:02:18.020 And an important note, if I may, there are January 6th defendants who've been incarcerated for as long as Biden has been president.

00:02:26.360 Julie Kelly has throughout been covering the Biden White House abuse of power, and whether it's the FBI's phony kidnapping charges in the Michigan Governor Whitmer case, or the political January 6th victims of this corrupt DOJ and FBI, we're delighted to have Julie Kelly as our guest here today.

00:02:46.620 Author of the bestseller, January 6th, how Democrats use the Capitol protest to launch a war on terror against the political right.

00:02:57.160 You'll find her excellent reporting on americangreatness.com.

00:03:01.740 Julie, great to have you with us here.

00:03:03.780 Let's start with the Governor Whitmer trial, a huge embarrassment to the FBI and the Justice Department so far, and I know you have a late development to share with us.

00:03:13.840 Yes, I have, Lou.

00:03:16.540 Thank you so much for having me on.

00:03:18.460 So this is the retrial of two defendants charged with conspiring to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer.

00:03:25.860 There was a trial in April.

00:03:27.300 Two men were acquitted.

00:03:28.340 These two men had a hung jury.

00:03:29.920 The government's retrying them.

00:03:31.540 That trial started.

00:03:32.360 This trial started last week.

00:03:33.940 The judge today stunningly put a 25-minute time limit on each defense attorney, but no limit on the government.

00:03:43.840 Again, this judge putting his thumb on the scale on behalf of the government because the trial is going so poorly for this Justice Department.

00:03:52.720 Well, I would think that the trial just went even into the dumpster with making an unfair, unbalanced order like that, instructions.

00:04:09.200 As you said, I'm not a lawyer either, but, I mean, fair is fair, and that isn't.

00:04:15.020 It's not fair.

00:04:16.440 The defense attorneys, the judge excused the jury, dismissed them for the day.

00:04:22.380 Then the defense attorneys made their case in front of the judge saying exactly that.

00:04:27.180 It's unfair.

00:04:28.260 It's unconstitutional.

00:04:29.500 It violates their client's 6A rights.

00:04:33.100 They noted, you know, how complicated these government witnesses were.

00:04:37.480 One of them has a criminal history, you know, talking about them changing their testimony, their testimony to FBI agents in the fall of 2020 versus what they're saying now, completely contradicting their initial testimony so they can cooperate with the government.

00:04:57.820 So, apparently, it's under something called Reeves' case law, but one of the defense attorneys says this only applies in civil cases, noting this is a criminal case where these clients could go to jail for the rest of their lives if they are convicted.

00:05:14.620 Furthermore, it's a case that the government says is its biggest domestic terror investigation in 20 years.

00:05:20.720 So, what is the rush?

00:05:22.040 They made their case, and nonetheless, the judge stuck to his order.

00:05:26.020 Pretty stunning stuff.

00:05:28.140 It really is.

00:05:29.460 So, you know, I'm sure your lawyers who are listening would have some thoughts on this.

00:05:33.500 I don't know how this will play to the jury, though, Lou.

00:05:36.840 The judge is very partial in this trial.

00:05:40.280 He continues to interrupt the government. 0.98

00:05:42.620 Last week, he upgraded both defense attorneys, said that they were wasting the jury's time with a bunch of crap questions. 0.99

00:05:48.860 Whoa! 0.99

00:05:49.780 And, yeah.

00:05:51.260 So, I think if these men are convicted, which I highly doubt they will be, this sets up a perfect appeal for defense counsel.

00:06:03.340 And the issue really is whether or not they were entrapped by government informants and, well, I guess you would call them agents with the direction, at the direction of the FBI.

00:06:24.840 The plot, the execution of it, the organization, all sounds on its face to be entrapment.

00:06:32.340 But, again, I'm not a lawyer.

00:06:33.960 Your thoughts?

00:06:35.660 Well, the two men who were acquitted in April, the jury certainly thought they were entrapped by the FBI because that was their defense.

00:06:43.420 And they, again, had a hung jury on these two men.

00:06:46.980 The government's case is actually going worse in the retrial than it did in the April trial.

00:06:54.260 What happened Monday and Tuesday of this week is their main government witness, the lead informant, a man named Dan Chappell, who was paid $60,000 in cash and prizes by the FBI, to put, stitch this group together and try to induce them into this crime.

00:07:14.060 His testimony completely blew up over the past two days.

00:07:20.640 And so, is this the judge's way of helping the government out?

00:07:24.700 He certainly recognizes how important it is for DOJ to get at least one conviction.

00:07:31.140 So, pretty alarming stuff.

00:07:33.180 But this is a clear cut.

00:07:35.500 It has to be one of the most dramatic, egregious examples of FBI entrapment in the Bureau's history.

00:07:41.620 You had at least a dozen undercover agents and informants orchestrating this caper from the very beginning.

00:07:49.800 Really bad behavior by these FBI assets, getting their targets stoned, and then recording the conversations to use as evidence.

00:08:00.280 You had one female informant sleep in the same hotel room as her male target, violating FBI protocol.

00:08:07.040 The FBI made up a fake militia.

00:08:09.620 They made up a fake militia Facebook page.

00:08:12.660 They had another FBI undercover agent pretend to be an explosives expert to show the guys how to put a bomb together.

00:08:20.660 He showed a video of a bomb blowing up a vehicle.

00:08:23.600 The video was made by the FBI.

00:08:25.580 I mean, we could talk for five hours.

00:08:28.000 I still wouldn't be able to tell you all the gory details of this case.

00:08:32.960 But the purpose of this Fednapping hoax, what I call it, was two goals, Lou.

00:08:41.060 Number one, another example of the FBI interfering in the presidential election.

00:08:45.640 The arrests were made in October of 2020.

00:08:48.760 It resulted in wall-to-wall negative headlines for Donald Trump.

00:08:53.600 Gretchen Whitmer and Joe Biden blamed Donald Trump for inciting militias to try to take out one of his political opponents.

00:09:02.820 Also to support FBI Director Chris Wray's phony narrative of white supremacist domestic violent extremists posed a lethal threat to the country.

00:09:13.020 That was the point of this hoax, and it's all falling apart.

00:09:16.100 And fall apart, it sounds like it absolutely should.

00:09:20.440 But the judge in the case appears to be trying to hold a Rube Goldberg contraption intact with his, you know, throwing his arm around the prosecutor's case.

00:09:34.200 It's stunning to think that this is happening in a federal district court.

00:09:38.440 But at the same time, we know that the FBI, this is not their first adventure in entrapment and incitement, a popular word with the Justice Department.

00:09:54.200 But it seems it applies more to the prosecutors and investigators of the FBI and the Justice Department than to any of the January 6th demonstrators and some of the rioters.

00:10:08.720 I mean, this is just an FBI that is out of control, isn't it?

00:10:14.360 It really is.

00:10:15.600 And, Lou, let's talk a little bit about this case's tie-ins to January 6th.

00:10:20.880 There was a rally at the Lansing Capitol in April 2020, accusations of militiamen storming the Capitol.

00:10:32.520 The main informant this week testified that the FBI told the Michigan State Police that day to stand down and let protesters into the building,

00:10:41.840 where photographers were there to take photos of these alleged militiamen, confrontations with police that were photographed,

00:10:50.140 people calling for Gretchen Whitmer, trying to bang on her office door, roaming through the halls, calling for her.

00:10:56.400 Does any of that sound familiar to you, Lou?

00:10:59.260 It does indeed.

00:11:00.880 It does indeed.

00:11:02.360 And how about this?

00:11:03.660 How about this?

00:11:04.560 The man in charge of the Michigan FBI field office managing this hoax in 2020 was promoted by Christopher Wray to take over the D.C. FBI field office in October 2020,

00:11:19.580 a few months before the Capitol protests and the alleged storming of the Capitol.

00:11:24.560 No such thing as coincidences, especially when it comes to this FBI.

00:11:28.560 Yes, and that same head of the Detroit field office, now running the Washington, D.C. field office,

00:11:39.000 which, by the way, provided very nicely the agents that raided Mar-a-Lago.

00:11:47.520 Again, there are no coincidences, are there?

00:11:52.280 There's not.

00:11:53.240 And it's also the FBI who arrested Peter Navarro at Reagan National and put him in leg chains and treated him like a domestic terrorist.

00:12:06.560 So this is what this D.C. FBI field office is all about.

00:12:10.960 Stephen D'Antuano, whose agents primarily ran the Fed napping hoax, promoted,

00:12:16.160 now running the D.C. FBI field office, not only going after Trump supporters, but, of course, leading the criminal investigation into January 6th,

00:12:26.240 which has resulted in the arrest in charge of 850-plus Americans so far.

00:12:30.540 So when do you expect, I want to take some of these things in order,

00:12:36.340 just because this is a difficult series of events and decisions on the part of the Justice Department and FBI to sort through,

00:12:46.760 but when do you expect this trial to conclude?

00:12:51.080 It looks like it might wrap up early next week, which was sort of what the defense attorneys were arguing today.

00:12:58.140 The first trial went, I think, three weeks.

00:13:01.040 The jury deliberated for four days.

00:13:03.280 This trial has two fewer defendants, of course, because they were found not guilty.

00:13:08.660 The government has about half of the exhibits that it used in the first trial.

00:13:13.220 And the case is the trials, in my opinion, going very quickly.

00:13:17.300 So I have no idea.

00:13:18.420 There's no reason for the judge to curtail the defense attorney's time or try to cut short this trial at all,

00:13:25.260 because if they wrap up on Monday or Tuesday, that's a two-league trial.

00:13:30.160 For the biggest domestic terror investigation in the FBI's recent history, that doesn't sound like it's, you know, too overly long.

00:13:42.200 It also sounds...

00:13:42.840 Which really makes you question the judge's decision today.

00:13:45.840 It also sounds like someone is trying to give somebody the bum rush, also trying to railroad these defendants.

00:13:54.760 Not for the first time would this be the case with the federal prosecutors and a federal district court judge.

00:14:02.720 But this has been such a high-profile case that's already been an immense embarrassment to justice, to the FBI, to the administration.

00:14:14.440 And what we're learning day after day is that this is our FBI at work.

00:14:21.240 And it is not a pretty thing to see.

00:14:23.880 It absolutely isn't, which, Lou, makes me think that DOJ really regrets the decision to retry these two men.

00:14:34.120 The timing could not be worse for them or for the FBI.

00:14:37.900 But frankly, it couldn't be better for the American people, because this Whitmer trial really exposes the deep rot of this agency. 0.51

00:14:47.460 This is not just a Chris Ray problem.

00:14:49.880 This is infecting field offices across the country.

00:14:52.940 I mean, these degenerates, they hire as informants and pay them cash as they're taking instruction from their FBI handlers. 0.71

00:15:03.100 You know, you've got one of the informants is a convicted felon a few times over, including convictions for sex with a minor. 0.70

00:15:10.000 And this is the sort of lowlife our FBI hires to entrap innocent people.

00:15:15.700 Dan Chappell, as I said, was paid $68,000 in cash.

00:15:19.380 Get this, Lou, in December of 2020, after the capers over, the arrests are announced in October, the FBI gets election interference, all the bad headlines.

00:15:30.700 Donald Trump allegedly loses the presidential election.

00:15:34.420 The FBI gives Dan Chappell, the main informant, an envelope with $23,540 in cash.

00:15:42.900 Now, why did they give him cash?

00:15:45.700 Why did they pay him after basically his services were over?

00:15:49.840 It was a reward for doing what the FBI told him to do.

00:15:54.500 Put this group together.

00:15:55.980 Make it look like a kidnapping plot.

00:15:57.920 Make it look like we thwarted a kidnapping plot.

00:16:00.900 And here's your reward.

00:16:01.940 Well, they're bribing and rewarding, as you say, their witnesses who, again, it looks like the FBI and DOJ are getting together, manufacturing storylines, manufacturing plots, and putting everyone in position, then writing their lines and roll tape.

00:16:24.380 It's just, this is just obscene, what we're learning here.

00:16:29.800 And the dual purpose, I would guess it would be, of not only embarrassing the president, but in point of fact, influencing the outcome of the 2020 election.

00:16:43.300 That's exactly what it was for, Lou.

00:16:46.700 So if you think back to October, the arrest were made October 7th.

00:16:50.620 Gretchen Whitmer, who knew about the plot, by the way, she needs to be really closely questioned about what she knew.

00:16:58.040 Her general counsel, since the time she was governor, was just promoted to be the U.S. attorney in the Western District of Michigan.

00:17:09.040 Same office prosecuting this case.

00:17:10.880 He had to recuse himself, Lou, from handling this new trial because of some sort of conflict that we don't know about.

00:17:19.460 The question is, what did he know?

00:17:21.900 What did Gretchen Whitmer know? 0.97

00:17:23.600 Who was she communicating with at the FBI or DOJ because she knew about the plot weeks, if not months, before the arrests were made?

00:17:31.180 Arrests are made October 7th, 2020.

00:17:33.180 The very next day, she gives this emotional, distraught video message how Donald Trump tried to sick these domestic terrorists on her to kidnap and possibly kill her.

00:17:44.600 These are her words. 0.96

00:17:46.180 Joe Biden is ranting on the campaign trail about this plot, accusing Donald Trump of inciting violence against his political foes, using dog whistles to send orders to these white supremacists.

00:18:01.140 I mean, this was a lot of news coverage in October 20th.

00:18:06.460 Right.

00:18:06.720 Well, you notice it's disappeared, though, right, Lou?

00:18:09.340 You notice the same outlets, the same reporters and journalists and cable news channels who gave this thing wall-to-wall headlines and coverage in October.

00:18:18.860 You couldn't find this on one page of The New York Times.

00:18:22.020 You couldn't find a second of this on CNN or MSNBC.

00:18:25.920 As soon as they realized it was an FBI operation from start to finish, the media completely dropped it.

00:18:32.120 And October was a busy month for the FBI, not only with the Weber trial, but also, as you have written about,

00:18:39.780 the effort to render Hunter Biden's laptop, his laptop from hell, as President Trump himself styled it.

00:18:52.320 That was Russian disinformation in the judgment of 51 former intelligence officials and five former CIA agents.

00:19:01.820 And within the, as you write, within the FBI itself, an intelligence analyst, Brian Austin, playing a significant role as a tool for the Marxist Dems and Joe Biden.

00:19:20.700 Imagine the gall of an FBI analyst going to two top Republican senators who are conducting a congressional investigation into Hunter Biden's overseas business dealings.

00:19:34.660 And he, this Brian Austin, went to these senators in August of 2020, warning them that their own investigation was a product of foreign disinformation, foreign interference.

00:19:46.860 Then, of course, that was leaked to the Washington Post, which reported it as the senators had been warned by law enforcement officials that any coverage, any reporting, any anything coming out of Hunter Biden's laptop is Russian disinformation.

00:20:02.000 So, yes, to your point, that was the other way that the FBI interfered in the 2020 election, covering up for the Hunter Biden, the Biden family, actually his brother, too.

00:20:12.460 And, and, of course, Joe, covering up for the Biden crime family while making up a crime and blaming it on Donald Trump.

00:20:21.260 Meanwhile, the FBI, part of the coordinated effort on the part of the intelligence community through the National Security Division of the FBI and Justice Department to give Joe Biden a shield.

00:20:34.480 There were no accidents here.

00:20:36.100 This was entirely purposeful to give him a shield for the second debate when Donald Trump would try to bring the nation's focus on what was contained in that laptop and the fact that the Biden family is exactly what we now know it was and is a crime family.

00:20:57.600 That was an extraordinary moment for further intervention in the election by the FBI and indeed the other intelligence agencies as well.

00:21:11.280 Well, that's why the credibility of all of these institutions is just rapidly declining.

00:21:18.100 I mean, I think that there is a new Gallup poll or Pew poll that shows trust in our major institutions is at the lowest level ever.

00:21:27.560 This includes for law enforcement.

00:21:29.800 This includes really every federal agency.

00:21:33.220 And so they have done real damage to the country.

00:21:37.500 I mean, look, you know, if we can't trust the most powerful law enforcement agency in the country,

00:21:43.460 they're supposed to be really protecting us, protecting the country, you know, thwarting crime.

00:21:52.680 When they aren't doing that job, it puts all of us at risk.

00:21:57.080 You know, and we see this playing out in inner cities.

00:21:59.700 Where's the FBI's attention to all the illicit drugs coming in from the southern border?

00:22:05.320 Where are they at the southern border?

00:22:07.280 You know, Chris Wray was asked repeatedly during Senate Judiciary Committee hearing a few weeks ago,

00:22:12.940 if he considered the southern border a national security crisis, he would not directly say yes.

00:22:18.900 Right.

00:22:19.500 He wouldn't say it.

00:22:20.580 He doesn't know how many terrorists have come across that border, nor does he care,

00:22:24.560 because he's too busy still hunting down grandmas from Indiana who walked into the Capitol 19 months ago and took a few selfies.

00:22:32.380 I mean, that this is dangerous territory.

00:22:35.060 Yeah.

00:22:35.680 While Christopher Wray pretends that at least half of him, because of his national security division,

00:22:42.880 at least half of him is a spy master, he is nothing more than a tool for the Marxist Dems and the Democrat Party,

00:22:50.560 as we have seen time and time again as they politically persecute Donald Trump.

00:22:56.660 Six years of it.

00:22:57.840 And there doesn't seem to be an accumulative knowledge on the part of much of the American public,

00:23:04.020 because they still will not recognize what is before their very eyes.

00:23:10.540 You mentioned the border.

00:23:12.540 It is, this administration has to be pro-cartel.

00:23:17.360 They may be aligned with the cartels in more ways than politically and operationally.

00:23:23.320 There must be money flowing here in some fashion, because there is no other explanation for the fact that Joe Biden,

00:23:32.020 the Marxist Dems, the FBI, the intelligence agencies are watching as the cartels,

00:23:39.340 the Mexican drug cartels, are pushing illegal immigrants, fentanyl that they bring in from China

00:23:47.340 and then produce a finished product and ship across that border.

00:23:53.640 Sex trafficking, human smuggling, it's all there, and we're losing at least 100,000 lives a year to the fentanyl poisoning.

00:24:02.860 That is not an accident.

00:24:04.820 It isn't a byproduct of their drug trade. 0.81

00:24:07.620 It is the purpose of fentanyl, to kill young Americans.

00:24:12.200 The number one cause of death for 18 to 45-year-old Americans is fentanyl.

00:24:19.960 Imagine that, and this president will not address it.

00:24:23.640 Neither will his FBI director or any of the intelligence chiefs.

00:24:27.860 That's right, and Lou, I do think that a lot of Americans recognize this hypocrisy

00:24:34.620 and really recognize the danger of the FBI and DOJ being so weaponized on behalf of the Democratic Party

00:24:42.380 that they are intentionally overlooking serious, legitimate, deadly threats to our citizens.

00:24:50.000 And I think that the raid on Mar-a-Lago really cemented in a lot of people's minds finally

00:24:55.760 that, no, this is not just about, you know, Donald Trump.

00:24:59.640 It's not about Carter Page, right?

00:25:01.460 It's not about Mike Flynn.

00:25:03.120 It's not about, you know, the QAnon shaman.

00:25:07.280 This is about doing the dirty work of the Democratic Party at any expense.

00:25:13.680 And, look, Republicans, you and I have talked about this.

00:25:16.640 If Republicans take the House, they are going to be forced to confront this head-on.

00:25:21.300 What will they do?

00:25:22.120 We don't need more harshly toned, you know, letters.

00:25:26.700 We don't need tweets with empty threats.

00:25:29.700 We need an action plan of what they're going to do, because if they are not stopped, it's only going to get worse.

00:25:36.820 And it's going to get worse quickly, I believe.

00:25:39.080 I agree with you 100%.

00:25:40.400 And I believe that if the Republicans fail to win this election, if they permit once again, and we have every reason to believe that the radical Dems are going to do exactly what they got away with in 2020, why should they change?

00:25:57.460 They are lying to our faces.

00:25:59.660 They are carrying out corrupt acts in our faces.

00:26:04.260 Why would they not try to steal another election?

00:26:07.940 And I truly believe that we're going to find out exactly what they've been planning for some time, because this White House is far too confident, far too confident to in any way be concerned about the outcome of the election. 1.00

00:26:22.480 When they are behind in the polls, across the board, we know the American people are furious with this impaired puppet president and his administration of absolute idiots. 0.99

00:26:37.700 The national security team for the Biden administration. 1.00

00:26:40.760 Where are they?

00:26:41.700 What do they do?

00:26:42.420 The secretary of state, the national security advisor, the defense department, more worried about trends, you know, protocols and pronouns than they are about winning awards.

00:26:58.820 It's a very, very frightening moment in American history.

00:27:04.760 This is declining rapidly right before our eyes.

00:27:08.640 And, you know, a lot of Republicans don't want to hear that because it will force them to do something.

00:27:14.740 And that's just not what they want to do.

00:27:17.240 But consequences are too are too severe.

00:27:20.700 And I truly believe that that we all of us have failed because just of the enormity of the corruption, the enormity of the betrayal by the members of the FBI, the Department of Justice, the White House, the Defense Department.

00:27:40.360 The senior leaders of all of these departments are corrupt as they can be, politically corrupt, and others in every possible way corrupt.

00:27:51.820 It is it's very difficult, I think, for most Americans to understand that their government is now organized around the concept that it is our citizenry who are the enemies of this government.

00:28:07.140 And they prove it day after day in the United States, in the U.S. government.

00:28:14.920 It's impossible to think otherwise.

00:28:18.640 You know, there is a bright spot here that we should note, too.

00:28:22.480 You talked about Senator Chuck Grassley and Senator Ron Johnson.

00:28:26.320 Senator Grassley sending that letter at the end of last month to Merrick Garland, I believe, is one of the precipitating forces in his ultimate decision to raid Mar-a-Lago and try to change desperately the subject.

00:28:41.720 Because in that letter, we learned that whistleblowers are now making it very clear that the Justice Department is corrupt.

00:28:51.100 They have been particularly corrupt in the view of the whistleblowers in protecting Hunter Biden at the expense of the public's right to know, denying truth in our media.

00:29:04.600 It's just one travesty after another.

00:29:07.980 But at least 14 whistleblowers, Julie, have now stepped forward.

00:29:12.520 And I'm the guy who said, I don't know if there is a single honest man or woman left in the FBI in the rank and file because none of them have stepped forward.

00:29:21.000 Now we can report that some have.

00:29:24.640 And also whistleblowers stepping forward to Jim Jordan and the House Judiciary Committee.

00:29:32.420 So these are at least what I hope will be just merely the beginning of some revelations to come forward from the rank and file of the FBI, the Department of Justice, about the iniquity of their places of employment.

00:29:51.020 Well, yes.

00:29:52.680 And I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say we need a lot more than 14.

00:29:56.420 I mean, you've got how many employees of the FBI?

00:30:00.380 50,000 or something.

00:30:02.420 We need a lot more.

00:30:03.920 And we need public condemnation by these employees tossing their badges and saying, this is not why we went through Quantico.

00:30:12.600 This is not why we dreamed of being an FBI agent to go after my neighbors, to go after my own countrymen, simply because we disagree on politics.

00:30:23.700 So, and look, the letters are great.

00:30:27.740 We've seen a lot of letters from Chuck Grassley.

00:30:30.120 We've seen letters from Chuck Grassley since 2016.

00:30:33.340 Right.

00:30:33.440 We saw letters from Chuck Grassley, Lindsey Graham go down the list about Crossfire Hurricane.

00:30:39.400 Nothing happened.

00:30:40.740 Charles Grassley sent a letter to DOJ, Donald Trump's DOJ, seeking criminal indictments, criminal charges against people who lied related to the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearing.

00:30:52.740 That went nowhere.

00:30:53.680 We can't just have letters, a few interviews, a few empty threats, and that's the end of it.

00:30:59.760 So, what we need from Republican leaders, no more letters, no more tweets.

00:31:06.360 We need a detailed plan, both Republican senators and House members.

00:31:10.680 What they're going to do, starting with public hearings across the country, not just Washington, D.C., hold public hearings with these officials.

00:31:19.780 Let the American people, especially the ones who have been subjected by torment this FBI in their January 6th investigation, let them tell the American people what this agency has been doing to American families for almost two years.

00:31:35.880 And expose what happened in the Whitmer Fednapping hoax, explain how they tried to cover up Hunter Biden's laptop and his overseas business dealings.

00:31:46.880 I mean, there's a treasure trove, not, I wouldn't call it treasure, but a trove of scandals that is decimating this agency.

00:31:57.080 And American people need to hear it, and then Republicans need to figure out, either disband this FBI, dramatically reform it, which includes cutting off a lot of funding, and start from there.

00:32:08.140 Julie, I've got to get your reaction to a couple of things, and one of them is Mike Pence, the former vice president, saying that, first of all, that people should not be attacking, as he put it, the FBI and the Department of Justice, that these people protect us and so forth.

00:32:26.060 And they should be very cognizant of the consequences of their criticisms.

00:32:32.600 And I would just love to hear your reaction to Vice President Pence suddenly making these kind of comments in the midst of all of this, just a corruption beyond belief.

00:32:48.460 I mean, it's just preposterous.

00:32:50.520 It was an absurd statement.

00:32:52.120 I read that this morning.

00:32:53.440 Mike Pence is, I mean, look, he could not probably get out of the single digits in any Republican primary.

00:33:03.120 He's not going to go anywhere as a presidential candidate.

00:33:06.640 He made so many bad decisions in Donald Trump's White House, starting with being the head of this coronavirus task force, letting Deborah Birx and Anthony Fauci run the country for a year.

00:33:18.140 Now saying we shouldn't criticize the FBI with all every all the scandals and all the evidence coming out, especially in the Whitmer trial.

00:33:27.280 I'm sure Mike Pence couldn't tell you one thing that's happening in this case.

00:33:31.700 It's we do not need to be silenced by our own political leaders or people who perceive themselves as our political leaders.

00:33:39.080 I do not have to do anything Mike Pence tells me to do, nor do I have to do anything that Tim Scott tells me to do, which is also not to criticize the FBI.

00:33:48.300 So I don't know who these people think that they're winning over, but it certainly disqualifies Mike Pence from any future office, especially president.

00:33:57.440 If he thinks we should just sit down and shut up while the most powerful law enforcement agency in the world is going after his own voters, just just a totally outlandish, irresponsible comment from Mike Pence.

00:34:13.640 And to hear Mike McCall, former chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Congressman McCall telling people that they should tone it down, that we need to respect our law enforcement agencies, our FBI, our Department of Justice.

00:34:34.180 Well, first of all, I'm not talking about law enforcement.

00:34:36.480 I'm talking about the FBI.

00:34:37.780 I'm talking about the DOJ.

00:34:39.320 I'm talking about this corrupt federal government.

00:34:41.780 You know what?

00:34:42.620 We can criticize law enforcement when they do bad things.

00:34:46.120 We can criticize law enforcement, for example, when they attack protesters at the Capitol on January 6th, like they did.

00:34:54.560 We can.

00:34:55.980 Law enforcement is not above reproach in this country.

00:34:59.220 Republican Party needs to get over its blind fealty to law enforcement.

00:35:05.500 These are the same law enforcement agencies who shut down our kids' playgrounds.

00:35:11.500 I mean, everyone has had some encounter microaggression by police related to COVID lockdowns.

00:35:20.220 When all of this happened and you had executives, governors issuing single-handedly these ridiculous orders to shut down businesses, shut down playgrounds, shut down our schools, what side was the police on?

00:35:34.440 Not our side.

00:35:35.380 Not our side.

00:35:36.660 Well, in that regard, there is another collision that's at work, and I probably should even broach this as we're wrapping up the show.

00:35:45.000 But here is the issue.

00:35:46.180 These police departments in particular, most of them are unionized.

00:35:52.200 They are public employee unions.

00:35:54.680 Most of state government is a public employee group of public employee unions.

00:36:00.740 They have a direct economic financial interest, as well as perhaps a political interest, in comforting the deep state and the Marxist dems that they follow in the Democrat Party.

00:36:16.580 We're going to have to come to terms with the reality that we've created, which is a noxious, suffocating amount of power that is vested in one side of our political system.

00:36:31.560 This two-party system right now is one party, and it is the Marxist dems.

00:36:37.520 We have got to show that there is a countervailing influence and wait against them on November 8th.

00:36:44.280 We always give our guests the last word.

00:36:46.940 Julie, your final concluding thoughts.

00:36:51.320 Well, Lou, thank you so much for having me on.

00:36:54.580 I would encourage people to read my work at americangreatness and greatness.com, where I have coverage on both January 6th and the Whitmer case.

00:37:02.100 I'm covering the trial as it happens on Twitter, julie__kelly2, and you can buy my book on January 6th.

00:37:08.960 It's available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

00:37:12.420 And what's the title?

00:37:14.240 January 6th, How Democrats Use the Capitol Protest to Launch a War on Terror Against the Political Right.

00:37:23.860 It is, I think it is one of the greatest titles ever because it is definitive as to the subject you cover so well, and the subtitle is exactly the definition of the times in which we're now living.

00:37:42.080 Julie Kelly, we recommend, by the way, her book, her books, and American Greatness to you, her columns, and her tweets, which we follow.

00:37:51.380 We don't simply recommend them, we follow them as well.

00:37:54.920 Julie, thanks for being with us, and God bless you.

00:37:58.120 You too.

00:37:58.620 Thanks so much for having me on, Lou.

00:37:59.880 Take care.

00:38:01.780 Thanks, everybody, for being with us today.

00:38:03.880 Tomorrow here on The Great America Show, we'll be taking up whether the midterms will be rigged elections or will they be fair?

00:38:11.540 Our guests have some of the answers.

00:38:13.880 Joining us is Kelly Ward, GOP Chair in Arizona, and Secretary of State Kyle Arguin of the great state of Louisiana.

00:38:23.020 Hope you'll join us here tomorrow for all of that and more.

00:38:26.880 Till then, God bless you, and God bless America.

00:38:30.840 God bless you, and God bless you, and God bless you.
