00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody, and welcome to The Great America Show.
00:00:04.840 It's great to have you with us on another beautiful day in America.
00:00:07.780 Thanks so much for spending part of your evening, your day with us, or wherever you're joining
00:00:11.380 us from.
00:00:12.940 President Trump continues his quest for Greenland.
00:00:15.900 He's not happy with the good old folks over there.
00:00:19.100 He's also not happy with the prime minister of Norway sending a letter to him this week,
00:00:25.180 letting him know that he's coming for Greenland one way or another.
00:00:29.400 He wants it because they cannot protect the territory from Russia or China, and that's 0.98
00:00:33.820 the biggest problem with it all.
00:00:35.660 I think it's less about having control of Greenland personally and more about having it away from
00:00:44.540 China and having it away from Russia, who will use it to cause harm on America and the rest 1.00
00:00:49.760 of the Western world.
00:00:51.600 And you've got the numbskull over in Canada, Carney, who's doing all he can to coddle up
00:00:56.160 with Xi Jinping and with China because he's all for the one world order.
00:01:02.540 Speaking of the one world order, President Trump is going to be making his return, long
00:01:06.660 awaited return to Davos this week to address the globalist elites there as Klaus Schwab,
00:01:12.580 who's been forced out of the World Economic Forum, will be making his last appearance with
00:01:16.940 President Trump.
00:01:18.000 We all know what happened the last time President Trump was there.
00:01:20.160 It wasn't pretty for the globalist as he looked them right in their eyes and let them know
00:01:24.660 who they really are.
00:01:27.260 Over the weekend, the United States making a big or rather the State Department, a big
00:01:32.760 move, freezing visas to 75 countries at a, quote, high risk of public benefit usage.
00:01:39.800 You're never going to guess it, but Somalia, one of those countries.
00:01:42.800 State Department writing on Twitter, quote, the State Department will pause immigration visas
00:01:46.220 and the processing from 75 countries whose migrants take welfare from the American people
00:01:52.500 at unacceptable rates.
00:01:54.740 The freeze will remain active until the U.S. can ensure that new immigrants will not extract 1.00
00:01:59.340 wealth from the American people.
00:02:01.940 Absolutely brilliant.
00:02:04.600 Jon Stewart seems to be Americans' favorite comedian, or at least once was, losing touch with
00:02:10.060 society, losing touch with the rest of the world.
00:02:12.700 Well, on his show over the weekend with a tasteless, tasteless joke, doing the same, you know,
00:02:18.800 the Democrat talking point, comparing President Trump to Adolf Hitler, except with a twist. 0.99
00:02:24.800 Let's take a listen to this demonic, twisted human being. 0.96
00:02:28.040 You know, people keep saying, oh, this guy's Hitler. 0.99
00:02:30.000 No, he's not.
00:02:31.160 And I'll tell you why he's not.
00:02:32.360 Hitler was popular. 0.99
00:02:35.040 This guy's not.
00:02:36.820 Because the people, and I'm talking about people like, I live in a town where like a lot
00:02:41.040 of people went that way. 1.00
00:02:42.620 Like, they give me a lot of shit in the deli. 0.99
00:02:44.760 Like, I walk in the deli and there's a lot of like, hey, hey, hey, how's that auto pen? 1.00
00:02:49.600 How's Biden's auto pen?
00:02:51.860 I walk in the deli now and they're like, what would you like on your sandwich?
00:02:57.700 Like, it ain't flying in a lot of places where you think it might be flying.
00:03:02.680 So, the one institution that I think has been the bulwark in a way that nothing else has,
00:03:08.860 has been the people.
00:03:11.760 Yikes.
00:03:12.320 I'm not sure how that plays with the audience.
00:03:16.100 I think Hitler's more popular than President Trump. 1.00
00:03:18.520 I don't find the comedy in it, but maybe that sick idiot does. 1.00
00:03:24.740 I want to bring in our guest today, folks. 1.00
00:03:26.420 Great American.
00:03:28.040 Great author.
00:03:29.700 Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant mind on the world stage.
00:03:33.000 Gordon Chang is the author of Plan Red, China's Project to Destroy America.
00:03:36.960 I want to take up all that's going on here in America, all that's going on across the borders 0.99
00:03:42.420 and this big fight for Greenland and how it protects America and why the rest of the world
00:03:49.380 is going absolutely berserk over it.
00:03:51.640 Gordon, a delight to have you with us.
00:03:59.280 And, folks, as I told you there, Gordon has a brand new book out.
00:04:04.200 We encourage you to go head over to Amazon.
00:04:06.300 Wherever you guys get your book, Plan Red, China's Project to Destroy America by the great 0.71
00:04:11.080 Gordon Chang.
00:04:12.860 Get your copy.
00:04:13.660 Get multiple copies.
00:04:15.020 Gordon, a delight to have you with us back on The Great America Show.
00:04:17.460 It's been too long.
00:04:18.320 Let's not wait this long again.
00:04:20.640 I want to get your take on first.
00:04:21.980 President Trump sending this letter to the president, the prime minister, rather, overseas
00:04:29.460 about Greenland.
00:04:32.040 And it reads as followed.
00:04:33.300 And it was through his ambassador over to Norway.
00:04:37.240 Dear Ambassador, President Trump has asked for the following message to be shared with your
00:04:40.920 prime minister, Jonas Schor.
00:04:42.840 Be forwarded to your.
00:04:44.620 And he goes.
00:04:45.000 Dear Jonas, considering your country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having
00:04:49.160 stopped eight wars plus, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of peace, although
00:04:53.900 it will be always predominant, but now I can only think of what is good and proper for the
00:04:58.340 United States of America.
00:05:00.080 Denmark cannot protect the land from Russia or China.
00:05:03.600 Why do they have the right of ownership anyway?
00:05:05.580 There are no written documents.
00:05:07.460 It's only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there also.
00:05:12.000 I've done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now NATO should do
00:05:17.140 something for the United States of America.
00:05:18.820 The world is not secure unless we have the complete and total control of Greenland.
00:05:23.460 Thank you, President DJT.
00:05:25.660 So there's a lot to break down in there.
00:05:27.400 I want to get your take first on Greenland as it's a very big strategic location as it pertains
00:05:35.940 to America, Russia and China.
00:05:37.740 Your thoughts first on America controlling Greenland eventually.
00:05:44.060 Well, right now, the Chinese and Russians are engaging in increased military activities in
00:05:49.440 the Arctic, and we see this with their joint patrols, Chinese bombers taking off from Russian
00:05:55.080 bases, Chinese submarine patrols under the Arctic.
00:05:59.960 And so something's got to be done.
00:06:02.120 Now, last January, the Danish foreign minister, the defense minister admitted that Denmark had
00:06:09.780 neglected the defense of Greenland.
00:06:11.980 And that's clear.
00:06:14.080 And they haven't done very much since then.
00:06:16.960 But we've got to remember that Canada has neglected the defense of its Arctic, and the
00:06:21.860 United States has been asleep, too.
00:06:24.640 So, for instance, we don't have icebreakers in the quantity that we need.
00:06:29.800 We don't even have a naval base in Alaska, despite all the Russian activity along our shores. 0.98
00:06:35.460 So, all of us have been neglectful of something which is now an increasing threat.
00:06:41.820 And the reason is because the Arctic ice cap is receding.
00:06:44.520 It does permit more activity, both military and commercial, up there.
00:06:49.240 The United States needs to have a much bigger military footprint in Greenland.
00:06:54.240 And no question about it.
00:06:55.700 NATO wants it.
00:06:56.840 We want it.
00:06:57.840 But we don't need to annex the territory in order to do that.
00:07:01.500 And that has really been the cause of the friction between the United States and NATO.
00:07:07.220 So, this has got to be played out.
00:07:09.940 I don't think the United States is going to invade Greenland to take it.
00:07:14.460 But we do need to get on a better page with our allies, because we all have a common enemy.
00:07:20.260 That common enemy is China. 0.76
00:07:22.620 And we need to deal with it in a joint fashion.
00:07:26.960 Yeah, I think you're absolutely right.
00:07:28.060 So, you had mentioned that we don't need to annex Greenland in order to control it.
00:07:32.340 But I would ask you, Gordon, if that's the case, then why have we allowed it to get to where it is today?
00:07:37.520 President Trump putting out a tweet last night.
00:07:40.140 NATO has been telling Denmark for 20 years that you have to get Russia threat away from Greenland.
00:07:44.820 Unfortunately, Denmark has been unable to do anything about it.
00:07:48.100 Now is the time it will be done.
00:07:49.300 President Donald J. Trump.
00:07:51.000 We see, Gordon, in country and continent after continent, that China just barges in wherever the hell they want to go. 0.96
00:07:56.900 And these nations do absolutely nothing about it.
00:08:02.600 So, how do we ensure that that's not the same?
00:08:05.260 Because it's already partially being done in Greenland by China.
00:08:08.900 How do we ensure that it's not a hostile takeover by the Chinese? 1.00
00:08:12.440 Because it seems every other world power is more scared of the Chinese and the Russians than they are of Donald Trump.
00:08:19.140 Well, there is a perception in the United States and elsewhere throughout the West that we're at peace.
00:08:28.280 The Chinese don't believe that.
00:08:30.420 They have a different concept of war.
00:08:32.700 It's unrestricted warfare that comes from that slim volume by two Chinese Air Force colonels in 1999.
00:08:40.460 And in that book, they actually talk about bin Laden, who China was supporting at the time, actually hitting the United States.
00:08:48.120 So, China's at war with us.
00:08:50.680 And it's up to the president of the United States.
00:08:54.080 If he feels that strongly about Greenland, then he needs to talk to the American people about how we're not at peace, how our society is under attack, and how previous presidents have failed to defend the United States from an obvious threat.
00:09:09.260 Because clearly, we've got Chinese agents, operatives, and soldiers on our soil.
00:09:15.140 They are here, and they're ready to strike.
00:09:17.820 And we have not done enough to remove them.
00:09:21.000 And by the way, it's not only the Chinese, it's the Russians and the Iranians are here as well in force.
00:09:26.600 So, the reason, the answer to your question is, yes, other countries have not been paying attention, but we haven't been paying attention.
00:09:34.660 And we're the leader of the free world.
00:09:36.320 So, if we don't speak and act, they're not going to speak and act.
00:09:41.320 I agree with you 110% about President Trump relaying the message to the American people that the threat is there.
00:09:47.220 I think, Gordon, about 90% of things is messaging, right?
00:09:50.620 It's how you relay the messaging to the American people.
00:09:53.340 It's why politicians win elections and so on and so forth.
00:09:56.920 I think you're 110% right that if President Trump frames this out correctly and says,
00:10:02.340 listen, you saw what China did with COVID, and you give them a little bit of power, and they command the world. 0.75
00:10:09.100 You see how China has pushed up on the borders of just about every country to the south of them. 0.78
00:10:13.880 This is what they're capable of doing, and this is what they will do.
00:10:18.020 I'm not convinced they'll get the Democrats on board because, I mean, there can be an all-out ground war inside of America,
00:10:22.840 and the Democrats would somehow still find a way to disagree because it's President Trump.
00:10:26.440 Now, the other aspect of this whole thing, Gordon, is NATO, and we constantly hear about NATO, NATO, NATO.
00:10:32.680 I'm convinced, and if you feel otherwise, I welcome your opinion,
00:10:37.680 that NATO has gotten us into more problems over the course of our membership
00:10:41.460 than they've helped us throughout the course of our NATO membership.
00:10:45.880 It seems their hands are in everything.
00:10:47.640 There's supposed to be an organization, Gordon, that promotes world peace.
00:10:50.020 It seems they've done the absolute opposite.
00:10:52.420 You go look at Ukraine and Russia, that thing has been stoked by every single NATO country
00:10:57.900 to continue to fire on it and let this thing to keep on rolling.
00:11:02.020 So they've threatened that NATO will pull out their full forces.
00:11:06.320 What's your thoughts as it all pertains to NATO and America and the European Union?
00:11:11.160 I think NATO has been the most successful alliance in history.
00:11:16.500 Remember, only one country has ever invoked Article 5.
00:11:20.280 That's the article that's when a country believes it's been attacked,
00:11:24.880 demanding the assistance of other countries.
00:11:28.720 We did that.
00:11:29.800 We're the only country to have invoked that.
00:11:32.040 And by the way, Danes have died in Afghanistan for the United States.
00:11:38.120 So let's remember these guys have shed blood for us.
00:11:41.620 You know, with regard to Ukraine, you know,
00:11:44.080 people talk about NATO expansion as provoking Vladimir Putin.
00:11:48.100 Now, even if NATO were evil, Putin had no right to invade Ukraine.
00:11:55.840 But the point is, NATO didn't expand because somebody in Washington or Berlin thought it would
00:12:02.480 be a good idea.
00:12:03.960 NATO expanded because those countries were afraid of Russia and wanted to join NATO and were
00:12:09.640 pressing the United States and others for a very long time.
00:12:12.740 And we resisted.
00:12:14.340 But eventually it became clear that they should become partners in the Atlantic alliance.
00:12:20.920 We've had general peace in Europe up until 2014.
00:12:26.440 And really, that is because NATO has been strong.
00:12:29.780 Now, alliances need to change.
00:12:31.760 There are problems with NATO.
00:12:33.140 But, you know, President Trump has been great for NATO.
00:12:37.120 And just one thing to mention.
00:12:40.820 Mark Rutte, who is the NATO Secretary General, in December said that NATO was as strong as ever.
00:12:50.160 And that was because of Trump.
00:12:51.520 Trump getting the other countries to agree to 5% spending on their defense establishments.
00:12:58.580 That's 5% of gross domestic product.
00:13:00.360 Only Trump was able to do that.
00:13:02.940 Now, Trump has created a lot of friction within the alliance.
00:13:07.940 But that friction was necessary to get those countries to do that because previous presidents
00:13:12.540 only cajoled, they sweet-talked, and they were completely ineffective in getting the alliance
00:13:17.660 to act.
00:13:18.380 Only Trump was able to do that.
00:13:20.920 So let me ask you this then, Gordon.
00:13:22.960 How can we consider these people our friends when they're ripping us off for years and it took
00:13:26.640 Donald Trump to come in to say, listen, you guys got to start paying your part.
00:13:30.240 And he's talked, President Trump has talked about this from as far back as 2015, that
00:13:34.140 NATO's ripping us off, the rest of the world is ripping us off, which is all, you know, true.
00:13:39.160 How do we come in here now and say, well, you know, well, you guys have taken advantage of us
00:13:42.760 because of weak and ineffective leaders, but, you know, we're still your friends.
00:13:46.140 Well, it's because regardless of friends, regardless of whether they've ripped us off or not, the
00:13:53.620 point is that we now face two large states, hostile ones, China and Russia, along with
00:14:01.020 their allies, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, that are threatening the survival of our societies. 1.00
00:14:08.220 So regardless of what happened in the past, we need their help, because although we are
00:14:14.880 by far the strongest nation on Earth, we can't do this alone.
00:14:19.360 We need the help of our partners.
00:14:21.680 So just a cold calculation.
00:14:24.820 Now, we can talk about the past, about whether they ripped us off or not.
00:14:28.880 And they did.
00:14:29.660 But we allowed that to happen.
00:14:32.460 And that was actually a matter of conscious American policy that we decided to give other
00:14:37.440 countries trade advantages because we wanted their help on security matters.
00:14:42.400 So that was that was a bargain made in D.C., not not in Brussels, not in London, not in Paris
00:14:50.620 or Berlin.
00:14:51.180 It was a it was a decision that was made in our country.
00:14:54.180 We can change that decision, but let's not, you know, let's not revise history.
00:14:59.660 We did this because of our own our own calculus of interest.
00:15:04.100 I agree with you one hundred and ten percent.
00:15:05.580 You look at how and it's our own politicians, Gordon.
00:15:08.000 I think that's the part that you left out there.
00:15:09.440 It's you look at how many of these politicians and I'm not even alleging, Gordon, that they're
00:15:14.300 getting paid off.
00:15:15.080 You can look at their stock portfolios and it tells you everything you need to know.
00:15:18.960 Military defense contracts, whether it be Palantir, whether it be General Dynamics, whether
00:15:23.180 it be Boeing and their portfolios are just loaded and bloated and nobody says anything about
00:15:28.760 it, it's it's it's like the worst kept secret in Washington, D.C.
00:15:32.520 But you're absolutely right.
00:15:33.520 It's our own politicians.
00:15:34.420 It's our own, you know, American people and our presidents, George W. Bush, Barack Hussein
00:15:39.800 Obama, Joe Biden has sold out and sold out.
00:15:42.260 And it goes back even far further to to Bill Clinton, but who have sold out and sold out
00:15:47.080 and sold out.
00:15:48.480 You mentioned Russia.
00:15:49.360 I want to ask you.
00:15:50.120 So in the grand scheme of things, I guess our three biggest problems are Russia, China and
00:15:54.120 Iran, as you laid out.
00:15:55.260 Do you think Russia is as big of a problem as some people make it as it pertains to America's
00:16:01.240 safety?
00:16:01.740 Or is it only China, Russia, China coupled with Russia or Russia coupled with Iran?
00:16:06.640 Yeah, that's a great question.
00:16:08.660 Russia really wouldn't be a threat were it not for China, because Russia would not be fighting
00:16:14.560 in Ukraine today without Chinese across the board support.
00:16:18.440 And it's not only economic support, because China's been taking Russian energy, but it's
00:16:25.060 also weapons, diplomatic support, propaganda support, intelligence support.
00:16:31.660 So, yes, Russia is a threat. 0.94
00:16:33.820 It has a has a larger nuclear arsenal than we do.
00:16:36.980 Largest on Earth.
00:16:38.140 So that makes them a threat.
00:16:40.100 But no, I don't worry about Russia by itself.
00:16:43.500 I worry about Russia being fueled by China.
00:16:46.900 And that's the same through the same for North Korea and Iran. 0.54
00:16:52.440 And one of the great things that we're seeing right now is President Trump is taking away
00:16:57.520 China's proxies one by one.
00:16:59.800 Venezuela first. 0.69
00:17:00.960 I hope Iran. 0.99
00:17:03.200 And what we're going to do, I think, is defang China by going after its weaker partners. 0.97
00:17:10.580 Like who?
00:17:11.840 Well, first of all, Venezuela.
00:17:12.920 I mean, it was is clear that this is and this is important because China was getting 0.99
00:17:18.400 discounted oil from Venezuela.
00:17:20.900 Now, Venezuela only accounted for three to four percent of China's seaborne oil.
00:17:26.380 But the discount was important.
00:17:28.680 Iran's much more important because Iran supplies somewhere between 13 to 25 percent of China's
00:17:36.340 seaborne oil.
00:17:37.120 And, you know, those Venezuela and Iran were providing oil at heavily discounted prices.
00:17:44.880 And China's factories have become accustomed to cheap energy.
00:17:48.540 Now, I hope that President Trump enforces the Iran oil sanctions.
00:17:53.140 If he does that, then we're in a very good position because we can, without the use of
00:17:59.000 force, actually defang the Chinese. 0.53
00:18:02.160 And that's going to be the task of a generation.
00:18:05.800 Let me ask you about India, because India and it seems President Trump is getting a little
00:18:16.160 annoyed, I guess, with India because they do a lot of a lot of business with Russia.
00:18:20.400 So it's making it hard, I guess, for some sort of peace deal to happen between Russia
00:18:24.160 and Ukraine, because you've got India in here, you know, who are doing everything they can
00:18:28.340 and giving whatever they can.
00:18:29.560 But on the other end, India pretends to be our friend. 1.00
00:18:32.500 I don't know if it has to do with the H-1B program and the jobs that they take from American
00:18:38.320 people, but they're doing, I think, a disservice to the rest of the world with what they're
00:18:42.420 doing.
00:18:42.640 And I think President Trump, for the first time in both his administrations, has finally
00:18:47.040 caught on to that.
00:18:49.320 India is complicated.
00:18:51.140 It, for instance, is buying a lot of Russian oil, and that is keeping Russia in the war in
00:18:57.560 Ukraine.
00:18:57.980 But India also helps us.
00:19:01.640 So, for instance, you know, people worry about the BRICS grouping.
00:19:04.720 Well, the BRICS grouping has been completely ineffectual because of India. 1.00
00:19:10.800 India doesn't want that grouping to be used by China as an anti-Western and anti-American
00:19:16.960 organization.
00:19:17.980 So India has basically made that organization ineffectual. 1.00
00:19:22.940 So that's good for us.
00:19:24.320 Now, India has a problem with China because they've got the border disputes.
00:19:30.360 Chinese soldiers have been killing Indian soldiers.
00:19:34.100 So we need to work with India. 0.92
00:19:36.720 But we also got to recognize, as people do, that India is not the friend that many people
00:19:42.700 thought.
00:19:43.620 But it can be a partner.
00:19:45.520 And we've just got to be good at working with New Delhi.
00:19:49.060 Got to remember one thing.
00:19:50.460 And that is, yeah, we have problems with India, but we've got to remember that a lot of those 1.00
00:19:55.980 problems are the result of our policies.
00:19:59.520 One of Afghanistan pre-collapse, one of its most important supporters was India.
00:20:05.460 And Biden left India.
00:20:08.780 And what we did when that occurred was we delegitimized all of our friends in the New Delhi policy
00:20:15.220 establishment because the Russian friends in India were able to say, look, you Americans,
00:20:21.620 you left us hanging.
00:20:23.680 You know, you're unreliable.
00:20:25.580 And yeah, we were unreliable.
00:20:27.540 And we're going to have to pay for that.
00:20:29.720 And so we got problems with India. 0.50
00:20:32.300 But let's remember, you know, Biden is responsible for a lot of that.
00:20:36.560 And Trump has got to repair it.
00:20:39.220 I say this all the time, Gordon.
00:20:40.220 I don't know one country that would trust America.
00:20:42.040 You look at what we've done to the Middle East, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq. 0.99
00:20:47.000 I mean, we've torn up the Middle East and then seemingly we've just disappeared when it 0.99
00:20:50.780 came time to come home or do whatever.
00:20:52.760 We've destabilized the entire thing.
00:20:54.520 So I don't know anyone who would trust America to go in and fix anything.
00:20:58.340 Well, yeah, that's I can understand that.
00:21:01.720 But remember, Trump's policy in the Middle East has been spectacularly successful.
00:21:05.940 It's not a reflection of President Trump by any stretch of the imagination.
00:21:09.300 No, but I think we've done a pretty good job in the Middle East in the sense that, yeah,
00:21:15.840 Afghanistan.
00:21:17.100 I mean, Afghanistan is a really complicated topic.
00:21:20.980 But, you know, and that's Central Asia.
00:21:22.980 But if you look at the Middle East itself, President Trump has been able to stabilize the
00:21:27.580 place, especially with his triumphal tour through the three Gulf states last May and, of course,
00:21:33.460 in his first term with the Abraham Accords.
00:21:36.180 So, you know, I can understand the criticism.
00:21:38.840 There are a lot of things that America has done in the Middle East and elsewhere that,
00:21:42.320 you know, I'm not very proud of.
00:21:45.220 But in general, the United States has kept the peace and is stabilizing the Middle East
00:21:49.380 as we speak.
00:21:50.140 Yeah, 100 percent correctly.
00:21:52.280 And everything I had mentioned to you was obviously President Trump's predecessors because
00:21:55.640 they're the ones who brought us in.
00:21:57.180 And President Trump's goal was to bring us out.
00:21:59.020 Unfortunately, Joe Biden was the one to bring us out of.
00:22:01.480 You'd mentioned Afghanistan and we watched the public embarrassment, which, you know, some
00:22:06.040 people speculate is what caused part of the uproar in Russia and Ukraine.
00:22:11.480 Absolutely.
00:22:12.640 You can trace the failure of the United States, the collapse in August 2021 to the February
00:22:19.540 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
00:22:21.980 I think that Putin saw that, took the measure of Biden and said he could get away with it.
00:22:27.080 And we are going to pay for that failure in Afghanistan because it's not over yet.
00:22:32.520 We've lost a lot of credibility because of the way we left Afghanistan.
00:22:36.740 Yeah, you know, people complain, you know, that America's, you know, you know, President
00:22:42.000 Trump's doing this global tour around.
00:22:43.520 But a weak American foreign policy, as we see, creates world unrest, which creates unrest
00:22:48.180 for America because it allows China and Russia to thrive in other countries.
00:22:52.080 You had mentioned Venezuela.
00:22:53.160 We watch, you know, the last six months.
00:22:55.960 I mean, it's longer than that, but really under the microscope, the last six months of
00:22:59.220 all the illegal oil being shipped out of Venezuela.
00:23:01.380 And President Trump says, get the hell out of here.
00:23:02.880 You know, you guys aren't doing this.
00:23:04.460 And he stopped every single ship to go to Iran or wherever the hell else they were sending
00:23:07.840 it.
00:23:08.380 I want to ask you this, Gordon, because.
00:23:10.840 Oh, yeah.
00:23:11.140 Before we leave this, just, you know, you know, people talk about Trump, you know, getting
00:23:15.180 involved in the world and they don't like it and they say it's not America first.
00:23:18.760 Well, that's what it was.
00:23:20.100 You know, we've got problems in our country because China's networks have been fueling unrest 1.00
00:23:25.740 on our college campuses.
00:23:27.500 Yeah.
00:23:27.660 And you can trace what's going on in Minneapolis to China.
00:23:31.480 China was very involved in the George Floyd protests.
00:23:35.660 They were involved in the arson in Washington, D.C.
00:23:40.440 at St.
00:23:41.060 John's Church, one block from the White House.
00:23:44.000 You had Chinese agents operating and creating and fomenting violence. 1.00
00:23:51.320 So, yeah, we've got problems in this country.
00:23:53.300 But if we can defang China, we can solve and it'd be much easier to solve our problems here 1.00
00:23:59.840 because we wouldn't have these Chinese networks creating all of these disturbances here in 1.00
00:24:05.700 the United States of America.
00:24:07.620 So let me ask you that, because, you know, you have people from America first. 0.81
00:24:10.460 And, you know, I say it, too.
00:24:11.940 We, you know, we voted for President Trump.
00:24:13.360 I don't know who you voted for.
00:24:14.700 I'd hope it's President Trump.
00:24:15.780 But it doesn't matter to me.
00:24:17.260 I did.
00:24:17.580 But, you know, we voted for President Trump because we have, Gordon, we have more problems
00:24:22.700 here at home than I think we do anywhere else in the world.
00:24:25.080 And you look at down the list of everything that's gone on in this country, and we still
00:24:29.180 have a lot of problems.
00:24:29.960 President Trump is trying to fix a lot of them.
00:24:31.540 But, you know, that's not something you fix overnight.
00:24:33.460 What do you say to the people who say that?
00:24:35.880 Even myself, sometimes it says, OK, it's time.
00:24:38.640 And I know Lou Dobbs, if he was alive right now, he'd be on the phone with President Trump
00:24:42.820 telling him, all right, Mr. President, it's time to bring it back home now.
00:24:45.500 You know, we've we've taken care as much on the global stage as we possibly can.
00:24:49.680 You know, I joke with Lou's wife about this. 0.84
00:24:52.040 And she goes, yeah, you're absolutely right.
00:24:53.360 He'd be on the phone, say, Mr. President, it's time to bring it back home now.
00:24:56.400 It's time to bring it back home for the American people. 0.98
00:24:58.680 And there are a lot of people right now, Gordon, who are very upset, who said, I didn't
00:25:02.080 vote for this.
00:25:02.720 I didn't vote for President Trump to be overseas every other month.
00:25:06.660 I voted for President Trump to fix the problems here at home.
00:25:09.700 Your thoughts?
00:25:10.940 I don't think you can fix the problems here at home until you fix China. 1.00
00:25:15.500 China has been the source of many of the problems here. 0.93
00:25:21.340 You know, when you're talking about the economy or you're talking about security, it makes
00:25:26.060 it very, very difficult.
00:25:28.480 But how do you do that, Gordon?
00:25:29.840 President Trump calls Xi his friend.
00:25:33.020 Yeah, Trump's wrong.
00:25:34.380 Trump is wrong.
00:25:35.140 And, you know, that is, he is helping to legitimize the Communist Party by saying that.
00:25:43.520 And by the way, Xi Jinping is not President Trump's friend.
00:25:47.060 Xi Jinping is a Chinese leader.
00:25:49.260 He's like all Chinese leaders and even more so. 1.00
00:25:52.020 He's cold and pragmatic.
00:25:53.400 He's ruthlessly pragmatic.
00:25:55.760 And friendship means nothing.
00:25:57.460 And I don't care if he spent time in Iowa.
00:25:59.560 That means nothing to Xi Jinping.
00:26:02.480 Yeah.
00:26:02.760 So we need an American president to do what Ronald Reagan did to say, look, the Soviet Union
00:26:08.420 is evil.
00:26:09.840 He said it out loud and he started a chain of events that led to the peaceful end of Soviet 0.97
00:26:16.380 communism.
00:26:17.840 We need to do the same thing with China because China is a bigger threat to the United States 1.00
00:26:21.920 today than the Soviet Union was during the Cold War.
00:26:25.200 And that's, you know, President Trump needs to say it.
00:26:29.700 That's so let me ask you this to your I mean, your thoughts.
00:26:34.860 I mean, your your grade, your your your presence on it.
00:26:38.500 Has President Trump began to disseminate and take care of the threat of China in his one 0.77
00:26:45.140 year in office?
00:26:46.720 Absolutely.
00:26:48.540 And he's he doesn't do the rhetorical.
00:26:51.740 He doesn't do the Ronald Reagan thing, which I think he needs to do.
00:26:54.280 But when you look at his policies, they have been going after China hard.
00:27:01.440 Venezuela is a China issue because you have China, Russia and Iran deeply embedded in South 0.92
00:27:08.080 America.
00:27:08.980 And President Trump's policy of ridding foreign influence from the Western hemisphere is really
00:27:15.720 important.
00:27:16.680 That's great.
00:27:18.180 Iran is a China story where I don't give him high marks as Canada.
00:27:22.480 Remember, President Trump, to his great credit, was willing to talk about the Canadian threats 0.89
00:27:30.960 to the United States.
00:27:32.340 And they were they were actually very, very, I wouldn't say dire, but they were threats
00:27:38.320 that are important ones.
00:27:39.960 And previous American presidents wouldn't talk about it.
00:27:42.080 They just let it slide.
00:27:43.180 Trump, to his credit, he talks about it.
00:27:45.340 But he needs to solve the problems, not make them worse.
00:27:48.360 And right now, with Carney siding up to Beijing openly, this is a real problem for us, because
00:27:54.840 whatever you think about Greenland, you know, Greenland's much farther away.
00:28:00.020 We got a very long undefended border with Canada and things could get really bad if China is 1.00
00:28:05.980 even more influential in Ottawa than it is today.
00:28:08.780 What is Carney's deal?
00:28:10.600 Why?
00:28:10.980 Why is this man?
00:28:11.900 It seems to me, Gordon, this guy's like as anti-American as possible.
00:28:15.940 He'll cozy up to everybody but America.
00:28:19.040 Now, he's got to understand the issues that America has with Canada.
00:28:23.440 We've been ripped off by Canada for years.
00:28:25.120 He has to understand that Donald Trump has a problem with that as a businessman and as the
00:28:30.340 leader of the free world and as a leader of America.
00:28:33.120 Does this man realize what he's getting himself into by getting himself into bed with Xi Jinping?
00:28:37.760 Probably not.
00:28:41.480 Carney's reacting.
00:28:44.900 You know, first of all, Trump talking about Canada as the 51st state has not been good
00:28:50.640 for the United States.
00:28:51.840 I think it's satire, Gordon.
00:28:54.000 People don't understand who Donald Trump is.
00:28:56.620 I spend a lot of time in Canada because, Lydia, my wife's parents are here.
00:29:01.880 And I can tell you that there's a lot of anti-Americanism now that there wasn't during the Biden era.
00:29:07.300 And that's because of these 51st state comments.
00:29:10.960 So, yeah, it's satire, but it's had real adverse consequences for the United States.
00:29:17.120 You know, as I said, when you look at what Justin Trudeau, the previous prime minister here,
00:29:22.920 he allowed the Chinese free run of Canada. 0.64
00:29:26.020 And American presidents weren't willing to talk about it.
00:29:28.640 Biden wouldn't talk about it.
00:29:30.160 Trump did.
00:29:30.780 And that's great.
00:29:31.360 But as I said, we've got to make sure that we make the problem better.
00:29:36.040 And right now, with Carney doing this, and Carney's a globalist.
00:29:40.880 So he is generally not going to favor solutions that we have.
00:29:45.140 But remember, he's also a leader of a democratic state.
00:29:47.820 And he would be responding to pressure from below, which would be very pro-American pressure,
00:29:54.220 if Trump were not doing the things that he's doing.
00:29:58.740 So it's a complicated story.
00:30:02.460 But I think Trump can kiss and make up.
00:30:04.380 And if he can do that, then we're going to be in a much better place.
00:30:07.920 Because then we can really talk about Greenland in a way which will enhance the security
00:30:13.180 for not only the United States, but for everybody else as well.
00:30:16.720 I think Canada's got a bigger problem they've got to worry about.
00:30:19.300 And it's the threat of secession.
00:30:21.500 No, I mean, I hate, I guess, for Americans from the 51st day comment.
00:30:26.860 But, you know, our farmers have been hurt by them, too.
00:30:28.900 So you want to look at it that way.
00:30:30.280 We've actually really been hurt, not by just words.
00:30:33.040 And I could say, Gordon, you're not the only family who's been infiltrated by the Canadians. 0.99
00:30:37.140 My brother-in-law is from Canada.
00:30:39.360 But Lydia is far better than my brother-in-law, I have to be honest.
00:30:42.920 Well, I mean, we have recognized the problems in Canada, but we've got to make them better.
00:30:49.000 It's just as simple as that.
00:30:51.120 I'm not pro-Canadian by any means.
00:30:54.380 But we have common interests.
00:30:57.780 And we've got to remember that.
00:31:00.020 And we've got a lot of Chinese and Russian submarines and planes off our border and Canada's border.
00:31:07.280 Remember that big balloon that flew into our country in 2022?
00:31:11.340 That entered from a country called Canada.
00:31:16.800 Yeah.
00:31:17.700 And we traced it all along.
00:31:21.160 That's a whole other story.
00:31:23.980 Lou Dobbs was so upset about that.
00:31:25.540 He was even more upset that they spent $250,000 on a Sidewinder missile to take it down.
00:31:30.420 Well, we could have taken it down as soon as it entered Alaskan airspace.
00:31:35.580 And Dobbs is absolutely right about that.
00:31:37.740 There are a lot of people in the Pentagon that should have been fired, including Mark Milley, who was then chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
00:31:45.360 I think the general in charge of NORAD should have been fired.
00:31:50.480 But that is a complicated story.
00:31:52.700 Yeah.
00:31:53.440 A complicated situation.
00:31:55.060 Gordon, before we wrap up, President Trump is heading back.
00:31:57.920 When you talk about globalist elites, he's heading back to see the globalist elites this week over in Davos.
00:32:03.100 We're going to be talking with Mark Morano.
00:32:05.900 I don't know if you know Mark Morano from ClimateDepot.com.
00:32:08.180 Really, really good.
00:32:09.180 He's going to be on the ground there.
00:32:10.140 We're going to talk to him this week.
00:32:11.920 Last time President Trump was at Davos, he gave them a taste of their own medicine.
00:32:14.980 Let's take a listen.
00:32:15.660 To embrace the possibilities of tomorrow, we must reject the perennial prophets of doom and their predictions of the apocalypse. 0.97
00:32:25.560 They are the heirs of yesterday's foolish fortune tellers. 0.93
00:32:29.060 And I have them and you have them and we all have them. 0.97
00:32:32.660 And they want to see us do badly, but we don't let that happen.
00:32:36.260 They predicted an overpopulation crisis in the 1960s, mass starvation in the 70s, and an end of oil in the 1990s.
00:32:47.740 These alarmists always demand the same thing, absolute power to dominate, transform, and control every aspect of our lives.
00:32:55.340 We will never let radical socialists destroy our economy, wreck our country, or eradicate our liberty.
00:33:02.980 America will always be the proud, strong, and unyielding bastion of freedom.
00:33:10.680 Gordon, love him or hate him?
00:33:12.140 I love him.
00:33:13.140 And nobody can say he's got a passive-aggressive bone in his body.
00:33:17.260 He's just straight-out aggressive and he lets everyone know what he's thinking.
00:33:21.120 Your thoughts as President Trump makes his much long-awaited return to Davos as Klaus Schwab is on his way out?
00:33:29.360 Yeah, Trump 100% on that.
00:33:31.400 Clearly, you know, you've got, well, let's talk about Carney, who in Beijing talked about the new world order.
00:33:39.980 That phrase is associated with Klaus Schwab when he talked about this Orwellian sort of international system where there is no democracy, where there's no property rights, where it's just the global elites telling everybody else what to do.
00:33:55.520 And President Trump just absolutely rejects that.
00:34:00.140 He did it at the World Economic Forum, which is the home of all the globalists, and Klaus Schwab, who fortunately has now been removed.
00:34:08.720 But the point is that, you know, it's great that Trump is going into the den, into the lion's den, and telling those guys off.
00:34:16.720 And I just 100% love it.
00:34:19.540 For people who don't believe the one world order, and you said property rights, and I want to read this today.
00:34:25.840 This has come out because you said about property rights.
00:34:28.720 New York City's Democratic mayor, Zohan Mondani, signals New York City could take over buildings from landlords who repeatedly violate housing laws.
00:34:36.020 So when people talk about the one world order, and the globalist elites, and these people having this sort of pull on the world, there's nothing hyperbolic about it.
00:34:46.040 This is very real.
00:34:47.100 It's very true.
00:34:48.260 And this is their ultimate objective at the end of the game.
00:34:51.480 At the end of the game.
00:34:52.540 I said game.
00:34:53.140 It really is a game for these people.
00:34:54.900 This is their ultimate objective.
00:34:56.900 And Mark Carney's buying into it.
00:34:58.420 And the European Union, I think for the most part, with the exception of probably two or three countries, Italy and Hungary off the top of my head, are buying into it.
00:35:06.700 This is really scary, Gordon, because we're going to have another Democrat president, unfortunately, in the near future.
00:35:14.120 This is a scary thought.
00:35:15.980 It's a really scary thought.
00:35:17.380 And, you know, it's one of those things where, you know, we've educated a generation of Americans who have just, you know, lost all sight of the founding principles of our country.
00:35:28.620 And that's our fault, because we let the leftists take control of our schools.
00:35:34.980 And we've got to take that back.
00:35:37.420 You know, this is what Ronald Reagan said.
00:35:40.160 You know, liberty is not transmitted through the bloodstream.
00:35:43.120 And he said, look, you have to fight for it each generation.
00:35:47.800 And what we're seeing in New York and in Minneapolis and in many other cities is exactly that.
00:35:55.380 So, yeah, this is this is important.
00:35:57.760 You know, just in general, you know, when you have a lot of peace, people do forget how you got there.
00:36:04.040 And the problem is we have to teach liberty and our founding principles each and every generation.
00:36:11.160 And we fail to do that.
00:36:12.560 So this is on us.
00:36:15.360 You mentioned Minneapolis.
00:36:16.460 You're absolutely right.
00:36:17.320 The only people who are getting power from these riots and disgusting protests are the wrong kind of people.
00:36:24.560 You out people out there who are causing destruction.
00:36:26.760 Yeah, it's temporary, but it's not moving the needle.
00:36:28.880 Ice is going nowhere.
00:36:29.880 It's giving the power to the wrong people and they don't understand it.

00:36:47.680 Look, we're Americans and we'll get this right.
00:36:50.260 And we always get this right.
00:36:52.120 It's going to be a close run thing.
00:36:54.440 But we are the most powerful country in the world.
00:36:56.920 And we're powerful not because of our military or our economy.
00:37:00.480 We're powerful because of our ideals.
00:37:03.440 And we will get through this because of our ideals.
00:37:06.860 But we're going to have to fight for them.
00:37:08.200 And thanks very much for the opportunity to talk to you and your audience.
00:37:13.380 Thanks, John.
