Trump expected to ignore his attorney s advice, not to say much, as he'll be in federal court Tuesday morning for his arraignment. President Trump faces more than three dozen counts in one way or the other of mishandling top-secret documents.

00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs with this great American News update.

00:00:04.020 We'll have the latest for you on the indictment of President Donald Trump throughout the weekend.

00:00:09.140 President Trump is making two public talks today, 2.30 Eastern, at the Republican Convention in

00:00:15.180 Georgia, and then the Republican Convention in North Carolina, that at 5.30 Eastern.

00:00:21.280 President Trump expected to ignore his attorney's advice,

00:00:24.820 not to say much, as he'll be in federal court Tuesday morning for his arraignment.

00:00:30.540 President Trump faces more than three dozen counts in one way or the other of mishandling

00:00:35.880 top-secret documents. The national media has featured mostly hyperbolically negative views

00:00:42.460 from lawyers and legal experts about the president's jeopardy from special counsel charges,

00:00:48.560 cable television guests using words and phrases like overwhelming, extremely disturbing,

00:00:55.220 and troubling. But the Wall Street Journal, whose owner you probably know is no fan of President

00:01:02.180 Trump, takes his side on the charges under the Espionage Act for willful retention of national

00:01:09.040 defense information. The journal editorialists point out the Presidential Records Act allows

00:01:15.420 presidents access to all records, no matter their top-secret classification. So not everyone

00:01:22.260 is overwhelmed. And you and I know this is just more of the same. More than seven years of baseless

00:01:29.760 Marxist-dim persecution of President Trump. And we all need to make sure our elected but mostly weak-kneed

00:01:37.140 elected officials stand up for President Trump against these ignorant, venal charges from the Marxist-dim 0.97

00:01:45.200 special counsel. That special counsel nothing more than a legal assassin for the Biden regime. 0.96

00:01:52.280 Here's the journal on the weakness, if not the outright fatality of the bogus charges brought by

00:01:58.620 special counsel Jack Smith. It's striking and legally notable, the journal writes, that the indictment

00:02:06.060 never mentions the Presidential Records Act, the PRA, that allows a president access to documents,

00:02:12.820 both classified and unclassified, once he leaves office. It allows for good-faith negotiation with

00:02:19.960 the National Archives. Yet the indictment assumes that Mr. Trump had no right to take any classified

00:02:27.100 documents." The Marxist-dims have been allowed to take up the awesome power of prosecution against their

00:02:36.660 political opponents. But President Obama and President Biden have weaponized our government

00:02:42.680 to an extent that none of us could have imagined. The district court in Miami Tuesday will give us some

00:02:48.940 idea about how successful they will be. The district court should, in my opinion, summarily dismiss the

00:02:56.340 special counsel and his specious charges, if for no other reason that no sitting president ever should be

00:03:03.460 allowed to bring charges against his political opponent. Ever. This is Lou Dobbs with the Great

00:03:09.920 America News Update. Have a great weekend.
