attorney, Stanley Woodward, for a meeting at DOJ headquarters regarding an urgent matter that he

was reluctant to discuss over the phone. The Guardian newspaper reports that after that meeting, the DOJ

attorney mentioned an application by the Trump employee's lawyer to be a Superior Court judge in

Washington, D.C. It seemed to some the DOJ was making some sort of offer to Nauta's lawyer to make a

deal for him to flip on Trump in trade for that judgeship. This, however, not the only instance of

And so I had to turn to the jury to explain to them how completely and totally improper and

unconstitutional that question is. There are constitutional rights, which we have to respect.
