00:00:00.000 hello everybody and welcome to the great america show it's great to have you with us on this
00:00:06.220 beautiful day in america thanks so much for spending part of your evening with us here
00:00:09.920 we've got a terrific show lined up for you tonight uh if you're joining us on rumble or twitter or
00:00:14.800 youtube uh special announcement tonight after the show we're going to be doing some stuff over on
00:00:19.780 youtube our youtube channel at the great america show on youtube uh breaking down what happened
00:00:24.520 on capitol hill today with jack smith the former junkyard jackal special counsel uh who persecuted
00:00:31.480 president trump uh we now find out wasn't supposed to be i mean we knew but we're not finding out
00:00:38.440 uh the fbi wanted nothing to do with it jack smith says push on merrick garland they're gonna have to
00:00:45.920 answer some questions so we're gonna be doing that tonight on youtube so be sure to head over there
00:00:49.540 um after the show to check that out let's get into some news of the day why don't we
00:00:56.340 you know every time i feel like my faith in humanity is dwindling comes right back and uh
00:01:05.060 it's restored if you haven't seen it yet it's a video we're gonna bring it to you
00:01:11.000 there's two people you don't mess with folks it's elderly people and children you just
00:01:15.880 you don't bully them you leave them alone you don't do anything to them you just let them be
00:01:21.400 well a political activist a far left-wing activist by the name of michaela ponce who's a
00:01:29.040 a nurse and a far left activist unleashed a tirade on this elderly lady who worked at target
00:01:36.620 for simply wearing a charlie kirk shirt that says freedom on it now we've got the video for you
00:01:41.620 so you can uh check it out if you haven't here it is why they let you wear that shirt shirt yes
00:01:48.460 why are you taking my picture why are you wearing that shirt you're working
00:01:54.180 it's a red shirt i can wear red any red shirt it's not a plain shirt it doesn't have to be a charlie
00:02:02.300 kirk shirt yes oh yes i know are you fucking stupid no why the fuck would you wear that you're
00:02:08.520 at work at target that's not target shirt it's not a plain red shirt you support a racist
00:02:15.360 i mean it's not racist you support a racist he's not a racist yes he is yes he fucking is i'm sorry
00:02:24.540 but i'm not going to stand here and argue with you're not you should go get your manager you should
00:02:27.980 not be allowed to wear the at work unacceptable unfucking acceptable that's your opinion the
00:02:34.920 opinion is he's a fucking racist and you support him that's your opinion and you should you should
00:02:40.300 not be allowed to wear that this is going to be taken above your fucking head that's insane
00:02:45.740 sick folks sick well after seeing that video my faith in humanity seemingly lost and then i found
00:03:08.540 out the nice things that were being done for that elderly lady who goes by the name of janine
00:03:14.000 she uh is being uh is being fundraised for on give send go and as of just a few moments ago
00:03:21.340 152 000 has been raised for this lady to give her a little vacation from target that's where my faith
00:03:32.680 in humanity has been restored the democrats folks the ones who tell us they're tolerant
00:03:38.220 that they're the ones that are going to save america that's the intolerant left what we saw right
00:03:45.560 there picking on some innocent old woman who's stocking shelves at target over the shirt she's wearing and
00:03:55.780 then goes on to call charlie all those names i mean it's another thing you don't do is speak ill of
00:04:03.880 the dead those are the democrats folks those are the democrats
00:04:10.220 they need a wake-up call it's not just me saying it new polling out shows 18 percent of the voters
00:04:21.420 approve of the way the marks of stems of congress are handling their job
00:04:25.740 73 percent disapprove it's a new record low job approval for them according to a new quinnipiac poll
00:04:33.740 quinnipiac has began doing this poll back in 2009 the previous law was in july of 2025
00:04:39.940 when 19 of voters approved of the job the democrats are doing 72 disapproving this poll that's out today
00:04:48.480 among democrats 42 percent approve of the way that members of congress are doing the job 48 percent
00:04:54.980 disapprove these are the dems folks quinnipiac's poll back they'd done the same polling uh in october of
00:05:01.840 20 uh october 22nd of this year 58 percent of the democrats approved of the way that they were
00:05:08.220 handling congress for 36 disapproved 35 percent of the voters approved the way the republicans are
00:05:13.420 handling congress while 58 disapproved a little bit better by double not much better but a little bit
00:05:23.800 and then the polling in congress is always historically low but they've somehow managed
00:05:29.360 folks to do this and we go off to the republicans because they've definitely got to get their act
00:05:35.040 together and we're gonna have a special guest on in just a few moments someone who's running for
00:05:40.440 congress who's gonna be the future of congress
00:05:42.600 now gallup who's been tracking for years doing their tracking of congressional approval has congress
00:05:52.940 had a 15 percent approval rating
00:05:55.260 15 percent approval rating folks that's where they're at now this all comes as more than 10 percent of
00:06:05.760 congress won't return to their seats after 2026 we've went through it it's a mix of democrats it's a mix
00:06:12.500 of republicans some running for higher office so i'm getting the heck out of dodge
00:06:18.400 but it's time to bring new faces into congress folks the time is now and we're going to be talking
00:06:26.640 about that uh with our guest today before we we bring him in um dan bongino the president trump
00:06:34.160 confirming just moments ago uh to depart from his role with the fbi
00:06:39.380 oh dan dan did a great job i think he wants to go back to his show
00:06:47.640 president trump saying bongino just wants to go back to his show
00:06:57.160 i guess we'll figure out if that's the case uh when dan departs but uh no time on it yet but
00:07:03.560 bongino reportedly uh leaving the fbi folks our guest today is going to be joining us in just a
00:07:09.980 moment after this quick commercial break goes by the name of mark to share out now for those of you
00:07:15.600 are baseball fans or new york fans or new york yankee fans an absolute unit of a player three-time
00:07:22.680 all-star five-time gold glover 2009 world series champion with my new york yankees um
00:07:29.680 pretty pretty damn good baseball career could have went off into the sunset retired from baseball and
00:07:38.280 from everything but deciding he wants to now throw his hat in the ring for a congressional seat down in
00:07:44.640 texas chip roy who's uh departing that seat texas 21 the austin area south of it uh
00:07:54.100 tashara mark tashara says he wants to run he's going to join us on the other side of this quick
00:07:59.340 break folks i'm excited for this some fresh new blood heading to congress it's exactly what we need
00:08:05.460 it's exactly what we talk about each and every day right we're taking a quick break we're going to
00:08:09.660 be back on the other side of this quick break uh in less than 60 seconds so please stay with us
00:08:14.340 mark tashara new york yankees legend and congressional candidates going to be joining us on the other
00:08:19.580 side please stay with us we're coming right back
00:08:21.640 thanks everybody for staying with us here on the great america show now as promised i told you folks
00:08:31.980 one of my favorite yankees seems to be a great stand-up man throughout his entire career but we're
00:08:37.040 going to find out together the great mark tashara mlb legend now deciding to probably make one of
00:08:44.000 the worst career decisions in history and get into politics after having such a great career uh mark
00:08:49.820 it's an honor it's a pleasure to have you with us tell the audience if you will what what made you make
00:08:55.220 this i mean just terrible career decision well first of all john thanks for having me on and um i get
00:09:03.140 that reaction a lot you know a lot of people are saying hey tex what are you thinking you've got a
00:09:08.260 great life like you grinded for your entire life to make it in the big leagues um enjoy your retirement
00:09:14.720 enjoy time with your family but listen i'm a christian my my entire life has been you know all of my
00:09:21.840 success um the family that i have the wonderful wife and kids uh my success on the field is because
00:09:27.920 god has blessed me in so many ways and listen the bible doesn't say have a great career raise your
00:09:33.320 kids and go on vacation it says serve and and i love this country this country went through the
00:09:39.060 ringer four years under joe biden um and and i looked at that as we need new types of leadership
00:09:45.500 in washington dc and thank goodness that president trump got back into office and he's trying to turn
00:09:51.100 things around but he needs allies that are young um that are willing to fight that are tenacious that can
00:09:57.120 go out there and try to turn this country around yeah sonia before before we got on the show i'm just
00:10:02.600 so tired mark of seeing members of congress walking down the hallways with wheelchairs with walkers i
00:10:08.920 mean it's terrible it's terrible to see you it's all going to happen to us one day it's the evolution
00:10:13.180 of life you know we're going to be there but we shouldn't be the people running our country it
00:10:17.540 shouldn't be these people who need to take naps all day long as we show under joe biden and some
00:10:21.360 members of congress we need young blood like you who are going to go in there and and
00:10:26.460 it used to be mark where you had to be somebody to become a politician you had to know somebody
00:10:32.260 you had to be inside the political realm and donald trump really turned that upside down in 2015
00:10:37.320 when he said screw you guys i'm going to beat 16 you guys on the stage you don't need to to kiss the
00:10:44.800 boots of this guy you don't need to ride the coattails of this guy to become a politician anymore
00:10:48.980 you just got to raise some money and be a good person and i think it opened the voters eyes mark
00:10:53.880 to something way different i think people like you who come from the outside are far more qualified
00:11:00.040 than someone who's a lawyer or a lobbyist you're exactly right john and and that's one of the
00:11:06.420 reasons that my campaign has gotten off to such a great start why i i have so much traction so many
00:11:11.800 people are supporting me whether publicly endorsing or helping me raise money because you know we do have
00:11:17.540 a problem in government with people being there too long i believe in term limits not you know i'm not
00:11:22.000 going to do this forever i'm not going to be there when i'm in my 80s as you say right so i believe in
00:11:26.640 term limits i believe in going in doing a job and getting back out and letting new blood come in and
00:11:32.900 you're right bureaucrats have have ruined washington uh there's some really good people in government i've
00:11:40.260 met tons of them but unfortunately there are layers and layers of bureaucracy that kind of overshadow
00:11:46.760 everything that we're trying to do in government and if you've been in government for 40 years
00:11:51.200 that's just the way it is well for me i don't accept that as an outsider donald trump didn't
00:11:57.580 accept that and so as president he's trying to slash all that bureaucracy and get us back to um you
00:12:04.040 know spending money the right way and serving the american people yeah you know the other thing we see is
00:12:08.920 we see mark we see people go in there dirt poor making under 74 000 a year and somehow they come out
00:12:15.540 and their their their paychecks look like yours did when you were in the mlb you to the best of my
00:12:21.180 knowledge you have no reason to be going in there to make any money yet a hell of a career uh you know
00:12:27.540 major money and and your rationale to go in there is to help people it's not to turn uh 174 000 a year
00:12:34.560 into two and a half million dollars a year and to start trading stocks and doing this and do that it's
00:12:39.500 it's really become mark a laughingstock of an institution the great lou dobbs used to tell me
00:12:44.980 he used to say what do you want to do and when i first started working for a market i go i don't
00:12:48.380 know man i want to be a congressman he goes no you don't those people are only there because they're
00:12:52.860 not qualified to do anything else and i just say you're crazy what are you talking about and lo and
00:12:57.600 behold that's what it's become mark yep yeah there's a bunch of them out there and like i said um
00:13:03.200 you know i love my texas delegation you know we've there's a reason that the state of texas is so
00:13:08.700 successful because i do believe we have those that want to actually serve in texas but you look
00:13:14.040 across the country look what's happening in minnesota you know how does ilan omar become go
00:13:18.560 from um you know having you know pretty much zero net worth to being worth 30 million dollars oh there's
00:13:24.180 a billion dollar scam that happened in her state where ngos were getting our taxpayer dollars sent to
00:13:31.440 minnesota to um to quote help help the poor right that's what democrats always say well you got to help
00:13:37.240 the poor gotta help the poor well they're skimming off the top and we know this is happening john and
00:13:41.140 and this is one of the reasons that that i want to go to congress because like you said i i'm not
00:13:46.660 doing this for the money i'm gonna i'm gonna end up giving away way more way more than i uh than i
00:13:50.960 bring in in congress so that's not why i'm going i'm going to serve the people and make sure that they
00:13:56.420 know that that the republicans in congress want to work for them um you know we have a whole bunch of
00:14:04.100 dems on the other side that want to make us a socialist country and want the people to work
00:14:08.800 for them i think republicans want it the other way you know the problem is too mark it's funny you
00:14:13.460 said ilan omar i wasn't going to go there i didn't want to bring it down that role but now you brought
00:14:17.360 us there so it's like it's so funny you get the republicans mark where you get clean cut guys like
00:14:22.540 you who've had great jobs made good money who speak succinctly who speak with class and elegance
00:14:29.120 and then the other side of the aisle you look and you've got rashida talib you've got ilhan omar
00:14:34.860 you've got chuck schumer you've got all these bottom feeders who are just they're just garbage
00:14:40.340 i think that's the word donald trump used they're garbage there there's no elegance about them
00:14:44.440 they disrespect the institution uh you walk down the hallways of congress i don't even know if you've
00:14:49.740 been there yet but when you go take a walk down the hallways these congress transgender flags
00:14:55.120 outside here this is not what this country was based on this is not what this country was built
00:15:00.260 on mark it was built on hard-working americans like you and i to do a good job and now the whole
00:15:06.300 thing has just become a race to the bottom uh to be social experiments and we've really taken a bad
00:15:13.300 turn here in my opinion well and and you hit on you hit on a bunch of our cities and traveling my
00:15:18.840 entire adult life going to these these once great american cities playing baseball and working for espn and
00:15:24.860 all the business endeavors that i've been involved in like i used to go to seattle washington and san
00:15:29.960 francisco and absolutely love those places they were beautiful uh clean i would bring my wife we would
00:15:37.560 have a a nice time before games or go out to dinner after games now i wouldn't want to bring my family
00:15:43.360 close to seattle or san francisco and and democrats have let progressive policies have ruined our
00:15:50.920 downtowns all over the country and that's because of progressive policies paying people to stay poor
00:15:57.080 keeping them poor and then you have representation out of those places like those those folks you just
00:16:02.940 talked about um and unfortunately uh our cities are in trouble and and i believe that that you know
00:16:09.780 when you have a socialist mayor in new york like we just we just uh had elected when you have a socialist
00:16:15.300 mayor in seattle this is the tip of the iceberg and if we don't stop what's happening in our cities
00:16:21.760 it's going to spread all over the country and we're going to lose this country tell us a little bit about
00:16:27.020 your district that you'll be representing hopefully um in less than a year now in texas
00:16:32.400 yep so district 21 it is chip roy's current district it's essentially southwest austin down the
00:16:39.100 i-35 corridor to san antonio i get the north san antonio suburbs and then all the way out to the
00:16:44.680 hill country it is the most beautiful district in texas um i was in fredericksburg texas last night
00:16:50.800 for an event just absolutely gorgeous really good people very christian very family focused uh i think
00:16:57.000 chip won by about 20 points last year trump carried it by 20 points um so very conservative these are i say
00:17:02.800 these are folks that go to church on sunday they barbecue afterwards they want their kids to have safe
00:17:07.240 neighborhoods and good schools uh and they want to be builders of this country um and so it would
00:17:12.880 be an honor of my lifetime to represent these folks because you know these are good patriots
00:17:17.700 i often say mark the wrong people get ahead the wrong people in some cases uh get endorsements that
00:17:23.900 they don't deserve i i mean it's i can't reiterate it enough more uh that outsiders like you need the
00:17:30.780 endorsements of president trump outsiders like you need the endorsements uh of the people who make this
00:17:35.500 country great to not let in people who are going to destroy this country what would you say your
00:17:41.560 biggest issues are your biggest agenda issues obviously texas is a big border state uh your
00:17:47.500 district a little bit more safe than uh the you know the ones down in brownsville or my friend myra
00:17:53.300 flores is running for down there uh what are your big issues what was it that really made you say i i gotta
00:18:00.140 get up you know i gotta get off the couch and i've got to really help uh texas 21 the the biggest issue
00:18:07.060 still is border security because even though the border is closed it's not fully secure and god forbid
00:18:15.320 we have a president newsom or a president pritzker in the in the future president whoever they're going
00:18:22.120 to open the border back up if it's not permanently secure and you can look at all of the issues in our
00:18:27.480 country right now and they have something to do with the border being open overrun health care system
00:18:34.560 schools that are failing drugs 100 000 people die of drug overdoses every year in our country
00:18:40.980 um you know you you have you have cities that just aren't safe so all of these issues debt upon debt
00:18:48.500 housing issues right so the people in my district understand we're kind of in the middle of texas right
00:18:54.580 but we understand the four years of biden when the border wasn't secure when it was wide open
00:19:00.280 what that did to our state and to our country and so all of the other things we that i care about you
00:19:07.480 know which is education and health care and religious freedom all these things if we just
00:19:12.220 have an open border and people can come in here unvetted nothing else is ever going to get fixed because
00:19:18.100 we'll always be chasing our tail yeah you're absolutely right i want to let you know a little fact
00:19:23.280 you say 100 000 people i totally agree with you but i think it's it's way more than that because the
00:19:27.540 cdc is not able to report people who don't autopsy but yeah the fentanyl problem it could be upwards of
00:19:32.880 150 000 it's a very very scary thing i'm gonna let you in on a little secret and i don't know you may
00:19:38.340 know this you may not know this but it's what you're getting yourself into a gallup who tracks
00:19:43.380 congressional approval they've been doing it for the longest time ever currently has the congressional
00:19:47.960 approval at about 15 15 15 of americans approve of congress another new poll that's out actually
00:19:56.200 today is from quinnipiac it gives the democrats in congress a record low job approval but voters still
00:20:02.720 say they may vote for them in 2026 uh because they think that donald trump's presidential power
00:20:09.440 goes too far and i guess it's based on his executive orders because he doesn't have a congress
00:20:15.880 that gets their act together he doesn't have a congress that pushes forth america first the
00:20:21.280 republican party doesn't realize something mark there was a mandate on november 5th when donald trump
00:20:26.260 won it was that people wanted those borders secure people wanted inflation down people wanted
00:20:31.600 deportations down people don't realize this these democrats when they go out on the view they don't
00:20:36.460 realize americans overwhelmingly still support this but there are these democrats who are just so out of
00:20:43.240 touch or reality so you'd be heading into congress right now i don't think it's going to get any
00:20:48.460 better with the approval rating at the lowest point in history mark yeah and and listen i don't blame
00:20:56.480 the average american for saying that congress isn't doing enough again layers and layers of bureaucracy
00:21:02.240 folks that that are more interested in their politics than good policy and that's the beauty of me being an
00:21:10.200 outsider i am an unabashed outsider i tell everybody i've never lived in politics i've never had a job
00:21:16.760 in politics never been a bureaucrat you know i'm a i'm a christian father and husband that had a really
00:21:22.560 cool job because i worked my tail off and everything i have is because of hard work it's because of god
00:21:28.000 given talent and hard work so like i lived the american dream because of because of the sweat that i put into
00:21:34.020 it unfortunately there's a lot of folks out there that just think that government is there to kind of take
00:21:39.560 care of them and democrats have given so much given away every time there's an opportunity they're
00:21:45.600 going to spend money and give people things so when when times are a little bit hard you know when maybe
00:21:50.960 uh your your electric bill is a little bit too high you go oh i'll elect a democrat and see if that
00:21:57.120 if they make it better they'll probably if i elect a democrat they'll probably pay for my electric bill
00:22:01.460 and we've got to get out of that mindset john that that government is there to take care of our
00:22:06.400 problems yeah if we go down that road we will become a socialist country and senator ted cruz
00:22:12.560 asked me this last week when i was in dc for a couple days he said text what gets you out of bed
00:22:17.080 and no one ever asked me that on the trail when i was playing baseball obviously i knew what i was
00:22:22.000 getting out of bed i want to beat the red socks you know when to win a world series there you go and i
00:22:26.640 i hesitated for one second and i said to fight socialism because that is where the democrats want
00:22:33.540 to take us and i know congress doesn't have a great approval rating right now but we do need to pass
00:22:40.400 legislation talk about policy not politics pass legislation as republicans that actually help the
00:22:47.520 american people let's get some wins let's throw some wins on the board president trump loves winners
00:22:52.400 i i am behind him 100 on his executive orders now if he goes too far the supreme court's there to tell
00:22:59.060 him hey president trump can't do that all right fine haven't done so yet though mark yeah at least he's
00:23:05.220 trying to get things done and and we need a congress to back him up you talked about his mandate we need
00:23:12.100 to back up that mandate with legislation
00:23:13.940 you know the thing mark i'd say probably a good 90 of it boils down to messaging with the republicans
00:23:25.020 just have a terrible time of doing because they have a hard time uh you know relating to the voters
00:23:29.860 this is what has to get done even though they intend mostly on doing a good job the border issue
00:23:35.700 it's so simple we all have hearts mark we you know it sucks that this is what it's come down to it sucks
00:23:42.100 that these people have to be deported because they came here illegally but you can't sit there and
00:23:46.160 blame tom homan and donald trump for deporting women and children and families you could blame the
00:23:52.340 parents who brought these kids to america illegally knowing you're putting them in this situation
00:23:57.840 that one day they will be deported one day there's a chance you will be deported where's the blame on
00:24:03.320 the parents for bringing them here illegally where's the blame on the parents for what we're going to
00:24:07.820 see now in the supreme court uh of uh i guess the um the term is anchor baby of bringing them here
00:24:14.480 getting pregnant having a child and then all of a sudden they're american citizen which is
00:24:18.440 not the damn case in any other country yeah yeah that's a loophole in the comp in the constitution
00:24:24.380 by the way birthright citizenship and here's the thing what if what if we just all agreed to follow
00:24:30.880 the law yeah imagine our country if we just followed the law and we talk about we need these laws
00:24:37.200 and need these laws and these laws well we don't follow the first one that is causing all the
00:24:42.400 problems for us to need the other ones so so why do we think if we pass all of these new laws and all
00:24:47.240 these new you know immigration reforms or whatever that people are actually going to follow the law
00:24:52.000 it's all about enforcement and that's what i i give president trump so much credit and i give um whether
00:24:59.500 you're a da or a judge or or any any law enforcement all over the country that actually sticks to finding
00:25:07.440 criminals processing them and getting them out of here like that was the that's been the law since day
00:25:14.400 one um and and this is a huge problem not just in immigration but we just love in government to layer
00:25:21.600 laws on top of laws because people don't follow the rules to begin with and and enforcement
00:25:27.700 laws are it doesn't matter what we have on the books if if you can't enforce them so um so kudos
00:25:34.880 to president trump and tom homan for doing their job yeah it's you're coming in an interesting time
00:25:41.020 mark more than 10 percent of congress won't return to their seats after 2026 so this could be the new
00:25:46.860 wave of people and it's you know the left saying well there's a purge in the republican party they're
00:25:52.080 leaving well now you look at some of the people are leaving uh they were kind of shit bums to begin
00:25:56.220 with don bacon and some of these people who voted for impeachment because they didn't like a phone
00:26:00.660 call that donald trump had with uh vladimir zelinski or they didn't like that uh there was this uh
00:26:06.660 quote-unquote insurrection at the capitol not caring about government whatever whatever you get into all
00:26:12.820 of it but you know there is a big purge coming congress and now is the time uh for fresh blood folks
00:26:18.220 like you to come in um before we wrap mark let's talk have you heard first of all let's go back when you
00:26:23.960 were in baseball when you're in the mlb things weren't as political as they are now today it
00:26:30.300 kills me i love football lou dobbs love football but it couldn't stomach him to turn on the tv
00:26:35.560 to look in the back of an end zone and see black lives matter which we now know to be one of the
00:26:39.740 biggest criminal organizations they might as well have been in uh minnesota with this somali uh scam
00:26:46.460 that went on over there you turn on baseball or what and it's it takes all of us or end racism
00:26:52.300 and all this nonsense that wasn't around when you were in baseball right did you guys even talk
00:26:57.340 politics in the club no we didn't um so i i retired in 2016 and it was really remember the 2020 was a
00:27:05.680 was a bad year for america for a lot of different reasons and i think that was kind of when it turned
00:27:10.600 when when dei i'd never heard of dei until 2020 i never heard of some of these different multi multi-letter
00:27:17.140 groups uh until 2020 and someone asked me the other day i actually give the texas rangers my
00:27:22.820 first team drafted me you know um that's why i fell in love with the state of texas lived in dallas
00:27:28.220 fort worth for eight years and they asked me they go hey hey tex is aren't the rangers the only team
00:27:34.260 that didn't have a pride day and i said i believe so and i'm darn proud of the texas rangers if somebody
00:27:42.280 would have told me i don't care what team i was on when i had to go out into batting practice and
00:27:47.420 wear a rainbow shirt for batting practice i would have said no and you can find me you can suspend
00:27:54.640 me you can do whatever you want but no i'm not doing that and luckily i think we have gotten off
00:28:01.780 it a little bit but it's still there john to your point it is still like we are force-fed this stuff
00:28:07.940 and especially as athletes most athletes we are like we love meritocracy we love you get the job
00:28:15.280 done you get paid you you score more points you win the game this this is not a a touchy-feely
00:28:21.620 business it is cutthroat in major league baseball and professional sports i mean we have some animals
00:28:27.780 out there that you know you would think wouldn't you know want to play around all this touchy-feely
00:28:33.180 stuff and let's just give everybody a trophy and let's give everybody money because we love them
00:28:38.140 um my guess is if you really asked everybody an honest opinion most athletes in the united states of
00:28:44.520 america are conservative they they because they they value hard work you know they they value their
00:28:50.900 family and the teammates and like that bond that you have with your team um now whether it comes
00:28:56.000 out on television or not um if you really ask them deep down they might have conservative
00:29:01.440 value they might say they're a democrat but their values are probably conservative yeah you know
00:29:07.200 one of your former teammates alex rodriguez went out campaigned for joe biden campaigned for kamala
00:29:12.120 harris and i'm like like are you this stupid and it's like he's just one of them you got steph curry
00:29:17.920 you mentioned california out there these people go out there their houses i don't know if you've
00:29:23.100 seen but a slew of nfl players their houses been getting broken into these people go out there
00:29:27.400 they make millions of dollars a year and there's nothing wrong with that you guys deserve every
00:29:31.700 penny you made you guys are putting on a show for people you guys are doing irreparable harm to your
00:29:37.420 body and damage to your body that you live with for the rest of your life you guys deserve to make
00:29:41.640 the money um but you make all this money you pay 60 taxes i don't know where you lived when you were
00:29:47.080 in new york you know new york or connecticut or whatever you pay 60 taxes and what do you get back
00:29:53.180 to show for it that's the thing mark that kills me all politics aside whether you don't want to
00:29:58.440 talk about abortion you don't want to talk about social issues the money thing alone how do these
00:30:03.840 people justify mark in a clubhouse paying 60 tax on their money and going home to crime ridden cities
00:30:11.320 of crap hole new yorks or somewhere in connecticut or wherever you guys lived when you know played for
00:30:16.540 the anguys yep i i've got no problem paying some some taxes if i feel like if i'm getting if i'm
00:30:24.180 getting my money's worth like we the only thing we do well in our country is is defense national defense
00:30:31.020 everything else we've ruined we've ruined education we've ruined health care the federal government has
00:30:35.820 ruined housing every time that they take more money from me and and put it into things that we
00:30:42.620 shouldn't be involved in anyway that's when i get upset and so for me i man we should have a lean
00:30:50.060 mean uh fighting machine in in defense like my father was a navy pilot i have no problem spending
00:30:57.480 money on defense i have no problem investing in infrastructure to help jobs of the future but
00:31:03.700 wasting money that you know is getting skimmed off the top that you know on programs that don't have any
00:31:08.840 return on investment sending it to foreign nations that don't do any for anything for us and actually
00:31:14.140 hate us why are we spending money on this type of stuff so you know we do have a taxation problem i
00:31:20.480 mean like my elevator pitch john is is secure the border lower taxes shrink the government grow the
00:31:26.540 economy protect life protect the second amendment if that's all we did if that's all we did in our
00:31:33.100 country we would be fine and and that's something that that i will i will say every day on the
00:31:38.420 campaign trail because um as a conservative as a christian father and husband uh those are those
00:31:44.540 are things i need to live by how about you add one into there mark and i'm sure you'll be on board with
00:31:49.060 this one let's get out of everyone's business overseas i mean who cares if this country wants to
00:31:55.100 throw rocks and stones at this country and shoot our bow and arrow i mean that's an issue of government
00:32:00.760 you know to me that's part that's part of shrinking government is we don't have to do that that and
00:32:06.300 that so we can save some money and and not have so many bureaucrats telling people overseas what they
00:32:12.540 should and shouldn't be doing yeah it's a nice ring to it mark i want to give you the last word here i
00:32:17.980 want you to give people the the website where they can go to follow you where they can go to donate
