00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Tuesday, April 1st.
00:00:04.880 Happy April 1st, folks. April showers. Hopefully going to bring May flowers as we kick off our April Fool's Day.
00:00:12.080 There'll be no April Fool's jokes here today. We're just going to give you a quick news update.
00:00:16.980 Hope everyone's having a great day so far.
00:00:19.440 It's been three months since the Republicans started off the 119th Congress, unofficially, but three months to the day almost.
00:00:27.340 And we're finally getting some hearings.
00:00:30.900 This afternoon happening on Capitol Hill, there's a hearing.
00:00:33.960 The subcommittees of the House Judiciary Committee are holding a hearing on judicial overreach as multiple judges are blocking Donald Trump from enacting his agenda.
00:00:42.580 The hearing is a joint effort by the Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property and Artificial Intelligence and the Internet and the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government.
00:00:51.000 The hearing is focusing on, quote, recent temporary restraining orders and injunctions that have infringed on the rightful power of President of the United States,
00:00:59.380 as well as to look for other, quote, potential legislative solutions addressing injunctive relief, the organization of federal courts, and the funding of federal courts.
00:01:08.900 Several members of Congress have called for action against these activist judges who are blocking the president's administration from carrying out its agenda from impeaching judges to defending district courts.
00:01:19.140 Judges like Judge Bosberg, of course, one of the problems there, but there's many problems there.
00:01:25.980 These Marxist-Demme judges don't want to see President Trump enacting his America First agenda.
00:01:30.680 Turning now to a story that we've been covering for some years here on The Great America Show.
00:01:34.180 For those of you just tuning in or those of you who have been joining us for the past few years for this show under the great Lou Dobbs,
00:01:40.480 you would have heard us talking about this case.
00:01:42.960 It's been going on eight years.
00:01:44.720 Curling v. Raffensberger.
00:01:46.260 It's a federal lawsuit on election voting machines out in Georgia.
00:01:51.220 The eight-year-long federal lawsuit was seeking to ban voting systems, like I said, in the state of Georgia,
00:01:57.420 that store a voter's intent and a QR code rather than human verifiable text.
00:02:01.840 As of today, folks, that case has come to an end.
00:02:04.300 Judge Amy Totenberg issued her ruling over a year after the trial concluded,
00:02:10.060 determining that, quote, the court lacks jurisdiction to consider the merit of the plaintiff's claims.
00:02:16.840 So once again, folks, let's go over this.
00:02:18.560 An eight-year-long case.
00:02:20.780 The jury wrapped up over a year ago.
00:02:24.660 And Judge Amy Totenberg now comes back a year later
00:02:27.420 and says that the court lacks jurisdiction to consider the merit of the plaintiff's claims.
00:02:33.160 How does that make any sense?
00:02:36.900 University of Michigan computer science professor Dr. J. Alex Halderman
00:02:40.640 successfully hacked the Dominion ICX system in the courtroom for the trial
00:02:46.200 using a Bic pen, one of those 10-cent pens you get at the DMV,
00:02:50.740 in one hack and tools you can purchase on Amazon for several other hacks.
00:02:56.480 The hacks resulted in ballots printing human-readable texts
00:02:59.200 that were inconsistent with the voter's intent.
00:03:01.580 So in other words, if you voted for candidate A,
00:03:04.440 we won't use any names just in the interest of not slandering anybody, of course,
00:03:10.200 but if you voted for candidate A,
00:03:11.960 the hack would cause the ballot to print from the ballot marking device
00:03:15.400 showing a vote for candidate B.
00:03:18.280 QR code that I mentioned comes out of there
00:03:20.640 would also record the vote as a vote for candidate B.
00:03:23.900 Folks, this isn't a joke.
00:03:27.200 This is a legitimate case.
00:03:28.700 You can go ahead and check it out.
00:03:30.740 We've been covering for years.
00:03:32.000 Curling v. Raffensperger.
00:03:34.420 And now the judge, a year later,
00:03:36.280 eight-year-old case a year later,
00:03:37.440 says that the court cannot make a determination based on standing.
00:03:42.320 Stolen elections, folks.
00:03:43.840 Remember 2020.
00:03:44.680 It makes you wonder what is up with these judges
00:03:48.940 and who's paying them, who's on the payroll.
00:03:51.780 Turning now to a story we covered yesterday,
00:03:54.160 France looking to do the same thing
00:03:56.400 that they tried to do to Donald Trump here in America.
00:03:59.600 National rally leader Marie Le Pen has vowed to fight
00:04:02.580 a Paris court's decision to ban her from standing
00:04:05.200 in the upcoming presidential election,
00:04:07.960 accusing the judiciary of acting politically
00:04:09.700 and attempting to undermine the people's sovereignty.
00:04:12.660 In an unprecedented move in Paris on Monday,
00:04:16.220 former presidential candidate Marie Le Pen
00:04:18.260 was banned for five years from standing
00:04:20.860 any political office in France
00:04:22.360 after finding her guilty of embezzlement
00:04:24.340 over alleged use of European Union funds.
00:04:27.620 The courts say the funds were used from Le Pen
00:04:30.540 and her national rally party
00:04:32.700 for EU Parliament for political activities in France.
00:04:36.400 Now the ban goes into place right away,
00:04:38.620 making it almost impossible for Le Pen
00:04:41.060 to run for election for the 2027 presidential race.
00:04:46.160 Folks, it happened here in America.
00:04:47.580 It happens in Venezuela.
00:04:48.500 It happens in Cuba.
00:04:49.580 Happens in banana republics all across the world.
00:04:52.260 And they're taking cues from America.
00:04:54.000 They tried to jail and kill Donald J. Trump.
00:04:56.900 And they're doing the same thing over in France.
00:04:58.840 Anyone who speaks out against the status quo,
00:05:01.140 against Marxism, any of that stuff,
00:05:03.460 they come after you and they try to end you politically.
00:05:06.180 And in Donald Trump's case, tried to end his life, as I said.
00:05:10.160 Turning now to some politics,
00:05:11.460 Attorney General Pam Bondi this afternoon
00:05:13.500 directed federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty
00:05:16.600 against Luigi Mangione.
00:05:18.760 That's the man accused of gunning down
00:05:20.520 the UnitedHealthcare CEO, Brian Thompson,
00:05:22.560 outside a Manhattan hotel in December of 2024.
00:05:26.720 Mangione, who's 26 years old,
00:05:28.160 faces separate federal and state murder charges for the killing.
00:05:31.640 Federal charges include a charge of murder
00:05:33.480 through the use of a firearm,
00:05:35.180 which carries the possibility of the death sentence.
00:05:38.640 The Department of Education issuing its final warning
00:05:41.240 to Maine on the transgender athletes.
00:05:43.960 The Department of Education sent a letter
00:05:45.100 to Maine's Department of Education this week,
00:05:47.660 advising the state that they have until April 11th
00:05:49.960 to meet President Trump's executive order,
00:05:52.380 which is called to rewrite federal Title IX education rules
00:05:56.620 to withhold federal funds from schools
00:05:58.480 that allow transgenders to play as females.
00:06:02.160 So, in other words, men in women's sports.
