The Great America Show - WOKE ZOMBIES DESTROYING AMERICA

00:00:00.000 First Republic, PacWest, Silicon Valley Bank, just a few of the latest casualties in the banking crisis.

00:00:20.780 Once again, call now, 866-387-2465.

00:00:30.000 Hello everybody, I'm Lou Dobbs and welcome to The Great America Show.

00:00:33.760 Great to have you with us today.

00:00:35.580 We're beginning with the biggest story in America right now.

00:00:38.620 A health crisis for millions of Americans.

00:00:41.220 Many of them are choking on the toxic smoke from those Canadian forest fires.

00:00:46.780 That smoke has settled over the Northeast all the way to the Great Lakes and down the Eastern Seaboard to North Carolina.

00:00:53.980 Over a million health alerts sent out to the elderly and children, anyone with breathing problems,

00:01:00.000 being told to stay indoors as long as air quality levels are this low.

00:01:05.280 It's a true health hazard.

00:01:07.160 And in New York City, the pollutant levels have risen above the September 11th levels.

00:01:12.760 New York City with the worst air pollution in its history.

00:01:16.300 And we're told it could last several days.

00:01:18.900 And that is across that entire area that's now affected.

00:01:22.780 All the result of hundreds of wildfires burning across Canada, coast to coast.

00:01:28.240 Most of which are still burning out of control across the width of Canada.

00:01:33.300 Authorities blaming lightning strikes and carelessness.

00:01:36.860 No mention of arson.

00:01:38.920 And the Gateway pundit today with a resurfaced document giving us some better insight

00:01:44.360 into why the Attorney General won't relent on the Trump Mar-a-Lago document hoax.

00:01:49.600 A presidential memorandum signed by President Trump dated January 19th, 2021.

00:01:56.480 That's the day before President Trump left office.

00:01:59.720 And it is a declassification of top-secret documents.

00:02:04.040 The memo written to declassify all documents regarding Crossfire Hurricane.

00:02:09.640 That is the Russian collusion hoax.

00:02:11.980 That was the reference to the operation used by Obama, Biden, the CIA, and DOJ, and the FBI

00:02:19.220 to spy on President Trump's campaign.

00:02:22.340 It's unclear whether the memos were part of the documents taken by the FBI when they raided

00:02:27.680 Mar-a-Lago, but it's more than likely in my opinion.

00:02:31.160 This document resurfacing as just the news reported federal prosecutors have informed President

00:02:36.820 Trump, he is now a criminal target and is likely to be indicted imminently in the Jack

00:02:43.040 Smith Special Counsel Mar-a-Lago case.

00:02:46.360 The Department of Justice is still considering charges as the Trump legal team have accused

00:02:51.660 the Department of Justice of prosecutorial misconduct.

00:02:54.920 That allegation pending in a U.S. district court in Washington, D.C.

00:03:00.640 James Bozberg, the federal district court judge, the Biden regime, this puppet president,

00:03:06.340 in my opinion, his Justice Department, the FBI, the federal judiciary, are now playing with

00:03:12.680 fire as they persist in obvious, appalling political persecution of President Trump.

00:03:19.700 That political persecution now in its eighth year, and at this very moment, the federal

00:03:25.080 judiciary alone, in my opinion, is the only institution that can stop the Marxist Dems from

00:03:31.880 the course that they have chosen.

00:03:33.280 And the likely consequence, which would be the destabilization of our society, the collapse

00:03:39.720 of our government.

00:03:41.360 This moment is that serious, and no one should doubt just how serious this crisis of corruption

00:03:47.460 in our government, in our nation, truly is.

00:03:51.080 Joining us now is a man who's been a victim of the corrupt Department of Justice for over

00:03:55.380 a year.

00:03:56.340 He's former Special Assistant to President Trump, Peter Navarro.

00:04:00.220 Peter, great to have you with us.

00:04:01.500 Let's begin with the politics.

00:04:04.500 With a few Republicans now in the race for the 2024 Republican nomination, let's begin

00:04:10.500 with the Governor DeSantis' extraordinary announcement with Twitter and Elon Musk as the star attraction.

00:04:18.100 Well, first of all, Lou, when I heard the news, the first thing that popped into my mind

00:04:22.440 was Elon Musk's favorite emoji.

00:04:25.540 I don't know if you know what it is, but it's that steaming pile of you know what.

00:04:30.940 And it seems like Twitter now is about as reliable as an Elon Musk Mars rocket.

00:04:39.940 So, you know, schadenfreude, poetic justice, whatever you want to call it.

00:04:44.940 But, you know, the thing I wrote, I wrote an article like two weeks ago in the Washington

00:04:51.980 Times op-ed.

00:04:53.140 And the title was, what's good for Elon Musk is bad for America.

00:05:00.460 And the thesis there is simply that Musk has moved the bulk of his production to Shanghai.

00:05:09.360 He now has the largest electric vehicle factory in the globe, on the globe, stuck in Shanghai.

00:05:17.420 And Xi Jinping, the dictator of Communist China, could put him out of business with the stroke

00:05:22.400 of a pen.

00:05:23.180 So since he started playing with the CCP, he's been very circumspect about criticizing him

00:05:30.400 and I predicted in that article that Musk would be a never-Trumper and make damn sure, because

00:05:37.860 he knows, look, Lou, what's the first thing the boss would do if he got elected?

00:05:43.240 And if I were in the White House in my old job, he'd call me in and say, hey, get Elon on

00:05:50.200 the phone.

00:05:50.760 He's bringing those factories back or he's getting lockout tariffs on them.

00:05:54.640 So Musk knows that he's making a business decision with DeSantis, just like Steve Schwartzman

00:06:02.120 and Blackstone on Wall Street, just like the Silicon Valley entrepreneurs are doing. 0.98

00:06:07.460 They're buying, essentially, a useful idiot for the Chinese Communist Party, for the globalist 0.97

00:06:14.400 elites who want to ship our jobs away. 1.00

00:06:18.060 And I did another article in the Times.

00:06:23.560 They run once a week.

00:06:24.640 I love the Washington Times.

00:06:26.160 I did one this week, which talks about DeSantis' game plan, right?

00:06:31.680 And the first thing he's got to do is try to be like MAGA, right?

00:06:37.620 So he's going to steal all of Trump's MAGA slogans.

00:06:42.540 In fact, I don't know if you know this, Lou, but he hired a disgruntled Trump staffer, right?

00:06:50.460 And the guy is like schooling DeSantis as we speak in Trump populism.

00:06:57.300 So you're going to...

00:06:58.260 But MAGA knows.

00:06:59.460 I mean, MAGA, as I wrote in the Washington Times article, MAGA knows you can tell a politician

00:07:05.760 by the money he takes and the company he keeps.

00:07:09.340 And who...

00:07:10.080 Look, this is funny, Lou.

00:07:11.700 It's like he is backed publicly by the second most hated man in MAGA next to George Soros.

00:07:22.140 Do you know who that is?

00:07:23.780 Let me think.

00:07:24.400 Rupert Murdoch, Fox News, New York Post, right?

00:07:29.200 Murdoch comes out and, you know, it was so much for fair and balanced, Lou.

00:07:33.360 It's like Murdoch comes out and publicly says he's going to use his media to help elect DeSantis.

00:07:41.440 So MAGA sees that, right?

00:07:43.280 And they're just bailing like crazy from Fox, going to podcasts like Lou Dobbs, going to Newsmax,

00:07:53.740 Steve Bannon's War Room, Real America's Voice, One America's News Network.

00:07:59.900 And DeSantis is not going to be able to sell himself as MAGA.

00:08:04.920 Ain't going to work, right?

00:08:06.440 And, you know, the second thing he's going to do is he's going to try to...

00:08:12.120 He already has started this.

00:08:14.740 I had this right from the beginning.

00:08:18.120 You've got, like, pollsters, right?

00:08:20.780 Polls, campaign pollsters who kind of work for DeSantis directly or indirectly through the dark money, right?

00:08:28.980 Those polls can't be trusted.

00:08:30.900 You know, the whole pollsters in a campaign are used to disseminate things you can spend.

00:08:35.940 So the first spin he gets out of his mouth is, hey, Trump can't win, right?

00:08:40.600 He's losing the battleground states.

00:08:42.460 I can win the battleground states. 0.65

00:08:44.080 It's like utter nonsense. 1.00

00:08:46.280 But that's the kind of crap DeSantis is going to do. 0.99

00:08:50.640 And the other thing I think that's really interesting that's going to really stick with voters is you've got in Donald Trump, 0.99

00:09:00.120 he's a gregarious billionaire with a commoner's touch.

00:09:07.520 And people outside of Wall Street and the globalists love the man.

00:09:13.160 They just love him.

00:09:14.440 And you juxtapose that with DeSantis, who we've learned very quickly is a paranoid introvert with a Shakespearean wife who fires people like Susie Wiles and keeps people out of DeSantis' ear, very tight circle.

00:09:35.840 You can't be an effective communicator or president that way.

00:09:40.600 So let's see, as the boss says, let's see what happens.

00:09:44.960 Yeah, I originally, in my last White House memoir, The Taking Back Trump's America, I proposed, you know, just Trump DeSantis as a ticket.

00:09:56.140 You know, just cut that deal.

00:09:59.000 That'll close out the field.

00:10:00.440 And then we don't have to worry about all this dark money coming in to try to tear down Trump.

00:10:06.540 But that deal, that's gone.

00:10:09.460 Okay.

00:10:09.680 DeSantis has destroyed that with his behavior.

00:10:13.280 And so now we're faced with a protracted battle.

00:10:19.020 And, you know, in one scenario, they're going to try to drain Trump dry of money and wound him and likely there, if they succeed, will be able to wound him going into the runoff with whoever the Democrats throw at him.

00:10:37.140 And I guarantee you it won't be Joe Biden because he'll be out by then because of Hunter.

00:10:43.300 But here's a fun scenario for you.

00:10:45.540 And it's also quite possible that both the Democrat National Committee and the Republican National Committee will do this.

00:10:58.020 With the DNC, they'll screw Bobby Kennedy, who has a really good chance of beating Biden, particularly if he's allowed to debate him, which they're not going to let it do.

00:11:09.320 And if the RNC, which is controlled by a bunch of rhinos, it starts with Romney's in name only, I think it is, or is it rhinos in name only? 0.95

00:11:20.220 If they try to screw Trump and it's an unfair election, you could have a four-way race with Biden, whoever the Republicans wins the primary.

00:11:31.840 And if it's not Trump, and then you have Kennedy and Trump, I call it the race, which would be more fun than the barrel of Ross Perot monkeys.

00:11:40.520 So there's a lot of stuff going on here, Lou.

00:11:42.900 But look, you and I know there's only one guy, one guy in America who could step in to the Oval Office tomorrow and fix everything.

00:11:53.840 The economy, foreign policy, our policy with China, and everything on down.

00:12:00.040 And that's Donald John Trump.

00:12:03.460 And everybody else is going to go through a learning curve on the Republican side, which we can't afford because of the crisis facing us.

00:12:10.700 And on the Dem side, it's like, I don't know about you, Lou, but I can't handle four more years of this woke zombie-ism that's just destroying everything about this country that you and I cherish.

00:12:26.100 We're talking with Peter Navarro, and we're going to take a quick break.

00:12:30.460 Stay with us through this.

00:12:31.560 I've got another question or two for Peter.

00:12:33.700 We'll get to that right after these words from our sponsor, the great Peter Navarro.

00:12:39.120 We continue.

00:12:40.700 This is a warning, my fellow Americans.

00:12:46.100 The news just broke, and it's grim.

00:12:48.360 The banking collapse of 2023 is now more devastating than the banking collapse of 2008.

00:12:55.960 First Republic, PacWest, Silicon Bank, just a few of the latest casualties in this banking crisis.

00:13:01.940 And don't wait for the email reading, quote, sorry, your account has been frozen, end quote.

00:13:55.900 Once again, call now.

00:13:58.020 866-387-2465.

00:14:02.040 And we're back with Peter Navarro.

00:14:06.220 And, Peter, I just want to say, I get the feeling that DeSantis is not exactly confident on that stage.

00:14:14.580 He's not exactly sure of the course that he's set for himself.

00:14:19.980 Look, he's a dime a dozen ideological congressmen.

00:14:26.980 The Freedom Caucus crowd, I mean, there's some good guys in there, but you also have to remember that was Mick Mulvaney as well.

00:14:36.340 Mick Mulvaney, he fought everything I tried to help President Trump do, starting with Buy American, Hire American.

00:14:44.440 When Mulvaney was the OMB director, he fought me tooth and nails on that.

00:14:49.300 He did not want Trump to impose tariffs.

00:14:52.920 Then I had a showdown with Mulvaney. 1.00

00:14:55.080 He was an idiot. 1.00

00:14:55.800 He didn't want to do the travel ban on China when the pandemic hit. 1.00

00:14:59.580 And I see DeSantis as that same kind of narrow ideologue, dime a dozen congressmen who worked his way up with his hand out.

00:15:11.520 And it's important to remember, Lou, he was at 3% in the polls before Donald Trump endorsed him.

00:15:19.300 And I am so sick of these people who are so ungrateful to Donald Trump.

00:15:25.660 When he helps him, when he helps them, all they do is bite the hand that feeds him.

00:15:32.480 He knows nothing, next to nothing, zero to nothing about foreign policy.

00:15:38.280 He, with Elon Musk now in his corner, will certainly not be tough on communist China at a time when we need to completely decouple from them. 0.99

00:15:49.940 He folded like a cheap suit on the Ukrainian issue.

00:15:54.060 And when he took what looked to be a principled stand, took a little heat and wilted in the kitchen.

00:16:00.340 So I'm not, I'm not impressed.

00:16:03.440 Well, I think you might like one of my tweets from last night.

00:16:08.600 Mick Mulvaney tweeted this out.

00:16:11.840 He said the Ron DeSantis event has just wrapped.

00:16:14.960 He did 75 plus minutes on pure policy.

00:16:18.760 Now, I thought that was, you know, there's nothing wrong with that.

00:16:22.320 That's from her Mulvaney.

00:16:23.660 Then he wrote his concluding line.

00:16:26.700 Trump could never do that, which motivated me to respond.

00:16:32.480 And this was my response on Twitter.

00:16:35.740 Nearly every policy DeSantis mentioned was authored first by President Trump and amount to nothing more than echoes of Trump's America first and make America great agenda.

00:16:49.680 I'm good with the original. 1.00

00:16:51.980 Let me talk a little bit about Mulvaney because that, that dude, talk about Judas Iscariot selling your soul for a piece of shit. 0.97

00:17:02.480 He, that SOB, I document this at length in, in my, in my taking back Trump's America book where Mulvaney, he's like, he worms his way into acting chief of staff. 0.99

00:17:17.060 The boss would never make him chief of staff.

00:17:19.580 Because he always liked to like needle Mick because he knew Mick wasn't up to the job.

00:17:24.700 And Mick, I don't know if you remember this, but he goes out and gives what is certainly the worst press conference as a, of a chief of staff in White House history, because it almost got Donald Trump impeached.

00:17:41.620 And it was that just, just God awful appearance, Lou, that led to his firing.

00:17:51.600 Now, here's the punchline.

00:17:52.740 Why I'm telling you about this is like Trump could have just sent him on his way to go back to money grub and become another lobbyist.

00:18:00.540 But what he did, Lou, he gave the Irishman a nice little ambassadorship in Northern Ireland.

00:18:07.460 And what did that SOB do on January 7th? 1.00

00:18:11.580 He resigned and in protest and he criticized Donald Trump for simply trying to get a legal accounting of the vote.

00:18:20.460 And then this is where the Judas part really kicks into high gear. 0.88

00:18:24.320 That SOB went and sold himself to CBS for a big contract on the, on the presumption that he would be a Trump basher.

00:18:33.900 And that's all Mick does with those fake phony glasses that don't have any correction in them. 1.00

00:18:40.020 He gets up there, looks like he's like a scholar and he's a frigging idiot. 1.00

00:18:44.440 And I know he's an idiot because I went head to head with him repeatedly in the White House. 1.00

00:18:50.220 Well, I thought the White House was one just big, happy, homogenous group of America first loyalists to President Trump. 1.00

00:19:01.720 Who were your friends?

00:19:04.100 You know better than that.

00:19:05.440 Well, that was the problem.

00:19:07.040 Let me just go through the list here.

00:19:08.920 I mean, Mnuchin, Pablo.

00:19:10.340 Yeah, Steve Mnuchin.

00:19:11.660 What Steve's doing is collecting money from probably the Chinese and certainly the Middle East for selling the president out.

00:19:19.060 And he was against everything Donald Trump stood for.

00:19:21.940 Next one.

00:19:23.200 Kudlow?

00:19:24.360 Kudlow.

00:19:25.420 Kudlow was the second coming of Gary Cohn, the Goldman Sachs, as the National Economic Council, as the director.

00:19:32.160 Kudlow, every day, every day got in the way of both Buy American and tough trade policy, particularly on Communist China.

00:19:41.800 The only difference between Kudlow and Gary Cohn was that Kudlow used like phony conservative free market arguments,

00:19:50.500 whereas Gary Cohn was just like, he was just, I don't know what was in his mind other than making money for Goldman Sachs,

00:19:58.400 even though he didn't work for him anymore.

00:20:00.900 Anybody else?

00:20:02.820 I can go on and on with these people.

00:20:05.400 Well, who were some of your favorites then at the White House?

00:20:07.740 This, I kind of like this memory lane trip.

00:20:11.860 Yeah, the two guys that served with me, and we were only three, who were with the boss all the way from the 2016 campaign to the end,

00:20:24.760 where it was the tweetmeister Dan Scavino, who I have just tremendous respect for.

00:20:30.340 That man, he cares only about Donald Trump and this country.

00:20:35.220 And then Stephen Miller, who, yeah, he was constantly under attack, both inside and outside the White House.

00:20:45.740 And there were times he had to keep his head down where I wish he'd kind of got up and taken a shot.

00:20:51.280 But he is a true believer, and he's smart as a whip on policy, and he was a good guy. 0.96

00:20:58.780 If you look at the White House legal counsels, you know, McGahn was a traitor.

00:21:08.940 If you look at the staff secretaries, people don't understand how important staff secretary is.

00:21:13.880 Staff secretary touches every document that goes to the president and can stop documents from going to the president.

00:21:22.400 You had Orrin Hatch's globalist free market wife beater in Rob Porter, who didn't have a security council.

00:21:31.920 And Kelly, the chief of staff, hid that from everybody.

00:21:36.280 And he was constantly causing problems.

00:21:39.580 And, you know, it goes on and on.

00:21:41.340 But we were able to succeed in spite of those people, not because of them.

00:21:48.220 And, you know, Mulvaney was right up there with the very worst of them.

00:21:53.500 Well, you know, I was thinking of another name, Bob Lighthizer.

00:22:00.060 He played a very important role, didn't he?

00:22:03.980 Yeah, I love Bob.

00:22:05.840 It was disappointing in the last six months of the administration.

00:22:12.480 Bob had some views.

00:22:16.140 And he's just not very good at political strategy, but he had some very strong views that we shouldn't rock the Communist China boat because we cut that deal and he was afraid they'd get out of it. 0.89

00:22:28.320 And, you know, there were like headwinds.

00:22:31.020 I mean, I remember going in a situation room with the DHS guy and we had executive orders to crack down on significant concentration camps and human rights abuses in Xinjiang province in China.

00:22:52.880 And me and the DHS guys were the only guys who wanted to do it and were willing to do it.

00:23:01.460 And, you know, it was like Meadows against it, Mnuchin's against it, Kudlow's against it.

00:23:05.980 And Lighthizer was not supportive.

00:23:09.460 So, but I love Bob.

00:23:10.960 You know, I recommend it in my book.

00:23:13.640 If Trump gets back in there, Bob should certainly continue to be the USTR, maybe the Secretary of Commerce.

00:23:20.220 He was, I thought, important to the president in the architecture of the tariffs and instrumental in all of that, as were you.

00:23:34.960 And I want to continue with you on a number of issues, and that is the future of the country

00:23:41.140 and exactly why we should be very concerned right now about this economy, its direction, and the result that is likely to conclude the Biden presidency.

00:23:55.600 We'll take that up here next with Peter Navarro.

00:23:57.800 We'll be right back.

00:23:58.760 Stay with us.

00:23:59.260 We're back with Peter Navarro.

00:24:06.880 And, Peter, I want to turn to this economy right now.

00:24:09.640 Yeah.

00:24:10.500 We have a debt ceiling debate contest, bargaining session, whatever you want to call it.

00:24:17.860 McCarthy, the Speaker of the House, and Biden, the erstwhile puppet president.

00:24:23.580 Those talks don't seem to be going anywhere.

00:24:25.760 Your thoughts?

00:24:26.240 Yeah, and forgive me here.

00:24:29.280 I just, for 30 seconds, I just want to let people know that the Biden regime and the Department of Injustice and FBI have already put me in leg irons.

00:24:40.580 They're trying to put me in prison.

00:24:42.380 And I've got this substack, peternavarro.substack.com, peternavarro.substack.com.

00:24:47.840 And it's really good stuff on there.

00:24:50.880 But if you support that, you're also helping me with my legal defense funds.

00:24:54.620 I just want to put that out there.

00:24:56.000 Now, let me get to the economy.

00:24:58.400 So, what we're facing, Lou, and I don't know if your listeners know, but this is my wheelhouse, a macroeconomist and a forecaster.

00:25:08.400 I did this for years, did an investment newsletter.

00:25:10.640 And what we are in right now is what's called stagflation, which is slow growth or recession plus inflation.

00:25:19.700 And you usually don't get those two types of conditions.

00:25:23.460 And there's a lot of reasons for that, but they are really at the heart of this battle over the debt ceiling.

00:25:31.760 The two things where we have to really hold the Democrats accountable for are this.

00:25:38.420 First of all, the level of spending that Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi were able to just push through and up the derriers of the Republicans are massive, unprecedented levels of expenditures that create what's called demand pull inflation.

00:26:01.720 That's too much money chasing too few goods.

00:26:04.940 And so, a big part of what the Republicans need to do, and they need to hold fast on this, is to roll back some of that spending and get that cut.

00:26:18.160 Otherwise, we're going to continue to experience the demand pull inflation.

00:26:22.920 And the spin here, which is straight whiskey, is, as the Democrats are saying, it's going to be a catastrophe if we don't negotiate with them.

00:26:36.740 It's going to be a bigger catastrophe if we don't get control of our spending.

00:26:41.800 But the other part, Lou, is something that was a thing of beauty with Donald Trump, which was the strategic energy dominance of Trump, letting the frackers, the oil and gas drillers, basically make us the largest oil producer in the world and a net exporter.

00:27:00.480 We were able to keep oil and gasoline and natural gas prices low, and that controlled what's called cost push inflation.

00:27:10.900 The energy price shocks of the 70s and the energy price shocks of today have that in common.

00:27:17.060 And so, part of the other part of the negotiation is getting some relaxation of the severe constraints that the greenery portion of the Democrat Party, which is to say all of it, has put on our energy dominant sector.

00:27:35.080 So, those are the two marks that have to be hit.

00:27:38.520 That's what I'll be watching for.

00:27:40.160 And if we don't succeed in that, we will continue to have significant demand pull and cost push inflation.

00:27:49.940 And here's the punchline, Lou.

00:27:51.680 The Federal Reserve can't solve that problem, okay?

00:27:55.560 Econ 101, you can only use interest rate policy to solve one of those problems.

00:28:02.520 If you want to solve recession, you lower interest rates.

00:28:05.040 If you want to solve inflation, you raise them.

00:28:07.480 But if you got them both at the same time, Fed policy doesn't work.

00:28:11.720 The only thing that works is having cutbacks in those expenditures at the congressional level, as well as a resumption of strategic energy dominance to keep oil prices and energy prices in check, which, by the way, help keep food prices in check because fertilizer is petroleum-based.

00:28:31.460 Well, all of that is instructive.

00:28:36.200 Let me go to the point you just made about the Federal Reserve.

00:28:39.700 And that is when you have a Federal Reserve with $8.5 trillion on its balance sheet, and now you have a Federal Reserve that is insistent in the face of a slowing economy, insisting on raising rates.

00:28:55.900 We're now at 5%, which puts rates at 6% to 7% in the enterprise market.

00:29:02.940 Why in the world would the Fed not avail itself of selling off some of those assets rather than taking people out of work and raising interest rates?

00:29:18.920 Well, see, that's the conundrum, Lou.

00:29:20.800 And it's a problem faced when you have stagflation.

00:29:24.760 I mean, you're a student of history.

00:29:26.580 You remember Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter faced the same roller coaster.

00:29:33.140 You know, when inflation got bad, the Fed tried to raise rates.

00:29:36.980 Then the recession would kick in even more, and then they'd be exhorting the Fed to loosen up.

00:29:43.560 And the point is that it doesn't work.

00:29:45.940 You know, if I were Fed chairman, what I would be screaming from the rooftop is say, hey, I can't solve the problem of fiscal irresponsibility and bad energy policy with interest rates.

00:30:01.040 Oh, you're never going to get the job, Peter.

00:30:04.760 Exactly.

00:30:05.840 Oh.

00:30:06.600 Probably for that reason.

00:30:08.180 Oh.

00:30:09.340 Probably for that reason.

00:30:10.740 And by the way, not a job I'm looking for, to be crystal clear.

00:30:14.940 But my point is that it would be refreshing if there were somebody at the Federal Reserve who wouldn't acknowledge the fact that the Fed can't solve the current problem because it's a hydra-headed monster of stagflation.

00:30:32.260 Well, as you know, as you know, Jerome Powell is not that man, and he is a guy who still hasn't learned his lesson, and he's had two rounds with it.

00:30:42.840 He thinks that the Federal Reserve can lead markets rather than follow them, which assures just ruination as a result.

00:30:52.140 I want to turn to the future here.

00:30:54.220 This country, with all of the problems with the contest for the presidency coming up in 2024, we have a corrupt, as you know better than anyone, corrupt FBI, a corrupt Department of Justice, a corrupt number of intelligence agencies all working for the same people they have since late, in the later years of the Obama administration.

00:31:20.700 They're entrenched, they are pervasive, they are all powerful right now, the deep state and the Marxist Dems.

00:31:30.340 What chance does the Republican Party have without a real fighter in the game?

00:31:37.600 And where is he going to find the warriors from MAGA to make sure that we don't see a repeat of some of the personnel mistakes that you've just cited in 2025?

00:31:49.740 Well, yeah, I go deep into that in the Taking Back Trump's America book.

00:31:55.840 There's a chapter where I fill out the cabinet as well as a lot of top spots in the White House.

00:32:02.880 I mean, you start with putting Johnny McEntee back as the director of personnel.

00:32:11.540 He was there at the end.

00:32:12.940 I met Johnny on the campaign in 2016.

00:32:15.980 He was one of the president's original body men.

00:32:18.900 And there's a guy, that guy combines supreme intelligence with loyalty in a way which would ensure that nobody would get hired that didn't pass the Trump test, which is a combination of loyalty and intelligence.

00:32:35.160 And, you know, when I say loyalty, Lou, there were lots of times I told the president things he did not want to hear.

00:32:43.840 And I think that's one of the reasons why I was able to stick around the whole time.

00:32:49.760 He didn't want yes men.

00:32:53.400 So that's loyalty means loyal.

00:32:56.340 What it means to me is loyal to the agenda, loyal to what the president is trying to accomplish.

00:33:02.220 You know, there's there's some people who serve with distinction.

00:33:05.860 I mean, I'm David Bernhardt.

00:33:08.800 I'm going to be interviewing him tomorrow as a host for another show.

00:33:13.820 Department of Interior.

00:33:15.080 I remember calling him up one day and say, hey, what's the deal with all these Chinese drones you guys are buying and putting up over our lands? 1.00

00:33:23.340 You know, they can spy on us.

00:33:24.600 He had them down the next day.

00:33:26.200 You know, that's that's my kind of guy.

00:33:27.940 I think that certainly put getting Miller.

00:33:34.560 Well, I don't want to we don't we're running out of time.

00:33:37.760 I just like you get a sense of what do you think the president should do differently to assure that he has support across broadly the Republican Party and has the leaders of the Democratic Party across every spectrum.

00:33:53.400 defending him now against the the excesses and the attacks on him, continued attacks over eight years now to make certain that he has a defense from the leadership of his own party.

00:34:10.240 Look, he just has to simply keep talking about what he stands for.

00:34:15.540 That's dead center of middle America, which is which is a middle and center right country.

00:34:22.120 People know that he is the guy who will represent their interests in Washington.

00:34:28.780 And then he just has to keep pointing out who is running against him.

00:34:34.800 You know, Tim Scott, he's running for vice president.

00:34:38.780 Let's be clear about that.

00:34:39.960 OK, he's he's he's harmless.

00:34:42.500 He's not going to hurt the boss.

00:34:43.620 But a guy like DeSantis or Nikki Haley, who's up to their ears and kind of the dark network, globalist kind of Wall Street, Silicon Valley, corporate money.

00:34:55.840 I mean, those people are dangerous and they just need to be outed.

00:35:00.260 And, you know, it's like part of my job.

00:35:03.320 I'm not working for him now, but part of my job as a patriot and mission of this country is to is to point this stuff out.

00:35:10.580 Lou, and I can't think of a better platform in the Lou Dobbs show. 1.00

00:35:14.480 Peter Navarro at Substack dot com, brother.

00:35:17.320 You got it.

00:35:17.900 And we appreciate you being with us.

00:35:20.200 Thanks so much.

00:35:21.000 Peter Navarro, a great American.

00:35:23.740 God bless you, Peter.

00:35:24.920 Yes, sir.

00:35:25.600 You're the man, Lou.

00:35:26.920 Peter Navarro, former advisor to President Trump.

00:35:30.080 Peter, a victim of the Marxist Dems and the corrupt deep state, as you've just heard, as the D.C.

00:35:35.080 swamp is getting bigger, deeper and more vicious as the corrupt bureaucrats and Marxist Dems spew their poison dressed up in political language and legalese and pretense.

00:35:46.760 Our quotation of the day is from President Teddy Roosevelt, who warned more than a century ago about the weasels and their words.

00:35:55.780 Here's what he had to say about the politicians of his day.

00:35:58.920 Quote, one of our defects as a nation is a tendency to use what have been called weasel words.

00:36:05.800 When a weasel sucks eggs, Teddy explained, the meat is sucked out of the egg.

00:36:11.200 If you use a weasel word after another, there's nothing left of the other.

00:36:16.860 Teddy said that in a speech in St. Louis, Missouri, 107 years ago.

00:36:21.120 I heard politicians use so many weasel words in my career that I just started calling most of the Marxist Dems, who couldn't talk straight, I called them eggsuckers, or sometimes worse, I admit.

00:36:33.800 That's all for us today. Thanks for being with us.

00:36:36.340 Follow me on Truth Social at Lou Dobbs.

00:36:38.960 I'm not thrilled with Twitter right now and where Elon Musk is taking it, so let's keep it at Lou Dobbs on Truth Social.

00:36:46.480 Our guest here tomorrow will be Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, James Comer, as the committee's investigation of President Biden's corruption intensifies.

00:36:56.580 We hope you'll join us for that.

00:36:58.340 Until then, thanks everybody.

00:37:00.100 God bless you and God bless America.
