00:00:04.000 The Joe Rogan experience.
00:00:06.000 Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night, all day.
00:00:10.000 What up?
00:00:12.000 D Rod, free.
00:00:14.000 Yes, free man.
00:00:16.000 What a fucking crazy story.
00:00:17.000 So let's fill people in.
00:00:20.000 So you were a top contender in the UFC's welterweight division, and then somehow or another, you wound up getting arrested in Mexico.
00:00:27.000 Yeah, man.
00:00:28.000 Right after the Kevin Holland fight, actually, I was celebrating.
00:00:33.000 I was over in San Diego.
00:00:37.000 Had some drinks and decided, you know what, let's go to TJ.
00:00:41.000 She was always a phrase that is regretted.
00:00:45.000 We're not even there in San Diego, you're drinking, you could walk there, yeah, yeah, literally.
00:00:49.000 So, um, decided to go to TJ for the night, you know, go celebrate my win.
00:00:56.000 I was obviously in celebration mode, and I had an ounce of weed in the car, you know.
00:01:02.000 And I've been across the border a hundred times, bro, never had no issues, never had no problems, never got stopped, pulled over.
00:01:09.000 That's the last thing I would even think.
00:01:11.000 I thought weed was legal in Mexico.
00:01:14.000 You thought everything's decriminalized down there?
00:01:14.000 I thought so too.
00:01:18.000 Apparently not, man.
00:01:20.000 The laws are like crazy, crazy strict over there, you know.
00:01:24.000 And I've been in situations before where I could just offer some money and get out of the situation, you know, like 500 bucks at the most, you know, and they'll just let me on my way.
00:01:34.000 But got pulled over at the border and the border inspection found the weed in my backpack.
00:01:44.000 And I was thinking I was going to be in that situation where I could bribe my way out of it because it's Mexico.
00:01:49.000 I've been there before and I've been in these situations.
00:01:53.000 And nah, man, I thought, you know, they took me to jail that night.
00:01:57.000 And I was thinking, all right, I'm just going to be here for the weekend.
00:02:01.000 I'll get out Monday, you know, go to court.
00:02:04.000 And they're like, nah, we'll see you in a month.
00:02:06.000 I'm like, a month?
00:02:08.000 You know, like, why?
00:02:10.000 It's just weed, you know what I mean?
00:02:12.000 And yeah, eight months later, Holy shit.
00:02:17.000 Yeah, dude.
00:02:18.000 Jamie, can you please look up what the laws are in Mexico for marijuana?
00:02:23.000 Because, man, I was reading something just a few years ago.
00:02:27.000 Here it goes.
00:02:28.000 Marijuana is decriminalized for personal recreational use in Mexico, but there's no legal commercial market, and buying it or selling it remains illegal.
00:02:36.000 For tourists and visitors, possession is strictly prohibited.
00:02:40.000 Wait, what the hell?
00:02:42.000 It's tourists and visitors.
00:02:44.000 So for everybody else, you would be good.
00:02:47.000 Like, if you were a Mexican resident, you would have been good.
00:02:50.000 It looks like, according to this.
00:02:53.000 Personal limits can possess up to five grams, and up to 28 grams is decriminalized.
00:03:01.000 How many grams are in an ounce?
00:03:03.000 That's one ounce?
00:03:04.000 28?
00:03:05.000 Yeah, so it was approximately 28 grams.
00:03:07.000 So, approximately, you should have been decriminalized.
00:03:11.000 But the thing is, I think it's if you live there.
00:03:14.000 The border, transporting marijuana, Including edibles and concentrates across the U.S. Mexico border is either in either direction is a serious federal offense.
00:03:24.000 U.S. Customs and Border Protection strictly enforces federal laws prohibiting the import export of cannabis.
00:03:31.000 But wait a minute.
00:03:32.000 That's U.S.
00:03:34.000 You got arrested by Mexican police, right?
00:03:34.000 But what about Mexico?
00:03:36.000 Yeah, I got arrested on either direction.
00:03:38.000 Wow.
00:03:39.000 But I feel like if you got arrested by Mexico.
00:03:42.000 Anyway, tourists, while small possession is technically decriminalized for Mexican residents, the Mexican government expects.
00:03:48.000 Explicitly prohibits tourists from possessing or consuming drugs, and you could face serious jail time.
00:03:55.000 Like, people would go over there going, Hey, no worries.
00:03:55.000 So that's crazy.
00:03:58.000 I'm in Mexico.
00:03:59.000 It's decriminalized here.
00:04:01.000 But not for a fucking tourist.
00:04:02.000 Dude, they were trying to give me six years, bro.
00:04:05.000 Oh my God.
00:04:06.000 Six years.
00:04:07.000 Oh my God.
00:04:07.000 And we had to do all kinds of stuff for me to get out, dude.
00:04:10.000 Did the UFC get involved?
00:04:13.000 Hunter did.
00:04:15.000 My management did reach out to Hunter, and they couldn't do anything.
00:04:20.000 Nothing.
00:04:20.000 The reason why.
00:04:22.000 Isn't there somebody who could get a little of that?
00:04:25.000 All right.
00:04:26.000 We'll get into that.
00:04:26.000 We'll get into that.
00:04:27.000 Because I'm out.
00:04:28.000 I'm out.
00:04:31.000 So I learned real quick how corrupt.
00:04:34.000 The system is over there.
00:04:35.000 Everybody's trying to get paid.
00:04:38.000 And the reason why I was in there so long is I guess at the time where I got arrested, the whole judicial system was going through an election at the time.
00:04:49.000 So it was new judges.
00:04:52.000 So all the judges that were taking bribes and stuff before, they had all got.
00:05:00.000 They switched out the judges.
00:05:01.000 So the new judges who were there were like, all right, we just got here.
00:05:05.000 We're not trying to take no.
00:05:07.000 You know, we're trying to play it by the book and get comfortable.
00:05:09.000 So I was supposed to get released in December.
00:05:14.000 And I guess I don't even know if I could even really.
00:05:18.000 Don't get in trouble.
00:05:19.000 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:05:20.000 Yeah, don't get in trouble.
00:05:21.000 You can tell me later if it's anything super crazy.
00:05:21.000 It ain't worth it.
00:05:25.000 It's very corrupt.
00:05:26.000 It's very corrupt in there.
00:05:27.000 But, you know, it's crazy, dude.
00:05:32.000 Like, even being in there.
00:05:36.000 So my whole experience in there was like.
00:05:40.000 So crazy.
00:05:41.000 How old do you speak Spanish?
00:05:43.000 I'm an expert now.
00:05:44.000 I'm like fluent.
00:05:46.000 Because of that experience or before?
00:05:47.000 Well, I had already been.
00:05:48.000 You're obviously.
00:05:49.000 I had already known Spanish, but being in there, it's like became fluent.
00:05:55.000 Yeah.
00:05:57.000 But thank God you could speak it.
00:05:58.000 Imagine if I got arrested in Mexico.
00:06:00.000 I'd be fucked.
00:06:00.000 Yeah.
00:06:01.000 So when I first got there, when I went to court the first time, one of the guards recognized me.
00:06:09.000 And he's like, You know, I'm in handcuffs and shit.
00:06:11.000 And he's like, yo, can I get a picture?
00:06:13.000 I'm like, what?
00:06:16.000 What?
00:06:17.000 So I'm right there taking pictures with the guards, bro.
00:06:21.000 This is so surreal.
00:06:23.000 Yeah, dude.
00:06:24.000 Oh my God, you're fucking top UFC contender in cuffs in jail.
00:06:28.000 The fucking guard wants to take a picture with you.
00:06:31.000 Wow.
00:06:32.000 While I'm in handcuffs, and the other inmates were like, looking around, like, what the fuck?
00:06:38.000 Who is this guy?
00:06:38.000 You know?
00:06:39.000 Because like, the guard was like, yo, this is such and such, you know?
00:06:44.000 So, as we're getting transported to the jail, which was the worst, I mean, I've been in jail before.
00:06:51.000 I've, like, from the age of 15 to 23, I was constantly in and out of jail.
00:06:58.000 You know, I'm from LA.
00:06:59.000 You know, I was, you know, a gang member and, you know, living in the hood.
00:07:04.000 And this time around was a whole different experience.
00:07:10.000 One, I'm in a foreign country.
00:07:12.000 And so I get there and, They put us like in the processing area, and the processing area is like probably about this big, and like 20 dudes in there, all sleeping on the floor, two dudes per bunk, three levels bunks.
00:07:36.000 And I was there for like the first 10 days, and it was hell, bro.
00:07:42.000 It was the worst.
00:07:44.000 I don't know what kind of bugs there was in there, but they were like biting up my whole body.
00:07:49.000 I had like Like, just buy it.
00:07:51.000 I don't know what it was, dude.
00:07:52.000 It was like, I don't know.
00:07:54.000 Bed bugs, probably.
00:07:55.000 Probably bed bugs or something.
00:07:55.000 Something like that.
00:07:58.000 And right when I had first got there, one of the inmates that saw the guards taking pictures of me was like, we were right there conversating the whole time.
00:08:07.000 And he had just got released from there, but he had did five years.
00:08:12.000 He was out for like two weeks, got arrested with the gun, and then came back.
00:08:16.000 So he's like, hey, I'm coming.
00:08:17.000 It's like, I'm going to try to get you out of here, you know?
00:08:21.000 And over there, the guards had tried to charge me.
00:08:27.000 Seven grand, bro, to get me out of that cell and to move me into a better place.
00:08:33.000 Because over there, if you got some money, you'll be all right.
00:08:37.000 You know?
00:08:38.000 And so, right before that happened, the dude that was like, yo, I'm going to come back for you, bro.
00:08:43.000 Don't even worry about it.
00:08:44.000 So, how does this work?
00:08:45.000 Does the guard come up to you and go, hey, I can get you in a cell, but it'll cost you $7,000?
00:08:50.000 Yeah.
00:08:50.000 They come up to you and tell you that?
00:08:54.000 Yeah.
00:08:55.000 So, the dude that I had got to the prison with, he comes back down.
00:09:00.000 And he's like, hey, the guards came, they pulled me out, and they bring me to a whole different section of the prison, the third floor and the second building.
00:09:13.000 And I go up there, and I'm escorted by the guards, and there's a curtain.
00:09:18.000 It's like a curtain covering the tier.
00:09:21.000 And I'm like, what the fuck is going on?
00:09:23.000 Why is there a curtain?
00:09:25.000 And I get in there, and they pull me to this dude, and the dude's like, oh, you're a UFC fighter?
00:09:31.000 You know, it turns out the dude's like head of the cartel.
00:09:34.000 You know, like a cartel leader, and he's like, he's like, oh, he's like, I want to just show you around a little bit, let you know how we're running things over here, you know?
00:09:42.000 Kind of just gave me the rundown, and this dude had it made.
00:09:46.000 You know, I get there, and there's TVs in the fucking cell.
00:09:50.000 Dude has a PlayStation.
00:09:52.000 He has like a whole bunch of just all the amenities you can think of, you know?
00:09:59.000 He's like, yeah, he's like showing me around and shit, kind of showing me off.
00:10:03.000 He's like, hey, guys, look, look at this guy, this guy.
00:10:05.000 You know, he's a UFC fighter, you know?
00:10:07.000 And I'm like, all right.
00:10:09.000 You know what's going on here, you know, and like you know, because it's jail, dog.
00:10:14.000 You know, like I'm like, if anything happens, I'm gonna use all my experience to survive this, you know, right?
00:10:22.000 And so he's like, just pretty much give me the rundown.
00:10:25.000 He's like, yo, uh, he's like, I run it here.
00:10:28.000 This is like pretty much, you know, our home, you know.
00:10:34.000 So that dude was facing some charges, he got released, and um.
00:10:40.000 He was facing some charges of him and his like 13 dudes.
00:10:47.000 He got arrested with his whole crew.
00:10:48.000 Him and 13 dudes were all in that tier.
00:10:50.000 So he had all his whole squad with them.
00:10:54.000 And they had got arrested for dressing up as like government officials or like military dudes.
00:11:02.000 And they would go like raid dope houses and take their drugs, whatever.
00:11:07.000 So they had got it all arrested for that.
00:11:09.000 And they were facing some serious time.
00:11:11.000 And.
00:11:13.000 And I'm over here like, dude, I just got a recipe for a fucking ounce of weed, bro.
00:11:17.000 This is crazy.
00:11:18.000 He's like, oh, no, you'll be out soon.
00:11:19.000 Don't even worry about it.
00:11:20.000 But if you want, we could get you accommodated and you could come up here with us.
00:11:26.000 You know, you'd be my cellmate or whatever.
00:11:27.000 You could be wherever you want.
00:11:29.000 And I'm like, all right.
00:11:30.000 He's like, yeah, but it's going to cost you a little bit of money.
00:11:32.000 I was like, oh, yeah, how much?
00:11:34.000 Like $3,000.
00:11:35.000 And I looked at the guard, the guard that was trying to charge me $7,000.
00:11:37.000 I was like, he said $7,000.
00:11:40.000 He's like, nah, He's trying to get more extra money out of you.
00:11:43.000 He's like, but you do got to, like, Pay to get up here and like kind of like pay rent a little bit, you know, to the guards.
00:11:51.000 So I'm like, all right, yeah, yeah.
00:11:53.000 So I'm like, all right, cool.
00:11:56.000 So immediately I was like, yeah, let's do it.
00:11:58.000 So they give me like this brand new, like Nike tracksuit.
00:12:01.000 Oh, shit.
00:12:02.000 And I'm like, all right.
00:12:02.000 Yeah.
00:12:03.000 He's like, we'll come up here tomorrow.
00:12:05.000 So I get there.
00:12:09.000 I get there and then he's like, yeah, you just be my cellmate.
00:12:11.000 So I pretty much ended up being like this guy.
00:12:17.000 I ended up getting the feeling like I was like his protection, kind of.
00:12:21.000 Or like, you know, like when we would go to the yard, I'd just be like, hey, walk with me.
00:12:25.000 Like, and.
00:12:27.000 I would kind of like just, I got the impression like, like, like, all right, I'm his cellmate, you know, like I got this guy's back, you know, he got my back, I got his, and I really trusted him, you know, and that's one hard thing to do in jail, but like you catch vibes off people real easy, you know, and, and, and yeah, dude, it was just a crazy ass experience, dude.
00:12:49.000 I ended up, we ended up working out with the, with the, working it out with the, with the guards, To get me some fucking boxing gloves, dude.
00:13:01.000 I ended up getting some boxing gloves in there, some mitts, and it just so happened that the dude that I was cellmates with had a little bit of boxing experience.
00:13:10.000 So he had been a boxer before.
00:13:12.000 So I was like, oh, perfect, you know, and he actually knew how to hold pads and stuff.
00:13:16.000 So I ended up spending this whole time.
00:13:19.000 Please tell me you didn't spar him.
00:13:20.000 No, no.
00:13:22.000 He wanted to.
00:13:23.000 No, That's how it goes south.
00:13:27.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:13:28.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:13:29.000 I'm glad you're smart.
00:13:32.000 You know what I'm saying?
00:13:33.000 Like, you said boxing gloves.
00:13:34.000 I'm like, oh, please tell me this doesn't end the way I think it ends.
00:13:37.000 Nah, nah.
00:13:38.000 Yeah, we ended up actually being really cool.
00:13:41.000 And, yeah, dude, I ended up pretty much spending this whole time in a boxing fight camp, you know?
00:13:48.000 Oh, wow.
00:13:48.000 Yeah, I remember I even made a makeshift double land bag.
00:13:53.000 What I did was, I balled up a bunch of plastic bags, like, really, like, made it real tight, and, like, so it's, like, hard.
00:14:01.000 Threw it in a sock.
00:14:03.000 I was able to buy from the guards like a bungee cord?
00:14:08.000 Yeah, bungee cord.
00:14:09.000 And then set that up.
00:14:11.000 Oh, nice.
00:14:11.000 Yeah, and I made a heavy bag because it had like these big gallons of water.
00:14:16.000 And I got the gallon of water and I wrapped it with like the mat from the bed.
00:14:23.000 And I just threw it in a bag.
00:14:25.000 And we had like a pull-up bar in our cell.
00:14:29.000 And I made a heavy bag out of that.
00:14:31.000 And then whenever we would go to the yard, I would just spend the whole time running that yard.
00:14:35.000 And I was just trying to do everything I could do to try and stay in shape, man.
00:14:38.000 And it just time went on, time went on, time went on.
00:14:42.000 And what kind of food did they get you in his cell?
00:14:45.000 It was all junk food, dude.
00:14:47.000 Still?
00:14:47.000 Yeah.
00:14:47.000 For him?
00:14:48.000 Yeah.
00:14:50.000 It was all junk food, like chips, noodles, soda, you know, water, condiments.
00:14:58.000 So no protein?
00:14:59.000 None, none, none, none whatsoever.
00:15:01.000 And I didn't think about that part, you know, because I was working out like crazy.
00:15:06.000 And.
00:15:07.000 I was getting shredded, but as time went on, my mother, like, when I got out, I was skinny as hell, bro.
00:15:15.000 I was skinny as hell.
00:15:16.000 And the only source of protein would probably be soy.
00:15:19.000 Jesus Christ.
00:15:20.000 Yeah.
00:15:20.000 So they'll give it like.
00:15:21.000 Couldn't you bribe someone to bring in some fucking meat if you're the cartel?
00:15:24.000 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:15:25.000 Well, that's the thing.
00:15:26.000 Like, it was crazy.
00:15:27.000 Like, so towards the end, towards like the final end of it, I guess the guard started cracking down on like a lot of the stuff that was going on.
00:15:39.000 So we started to lose a lot of those.
00:15:41.000 Amenities that we were getting in the beginning, and uh, and I was just you know, when I got out, I was just uh malnourished as hell, bro.
00:15:51.000 I'll show you a picture later of what I looked like when I got out.
00:15:55.000 Completely different person.
00:15:56.000 How much weight did you lose?
00:15:59.000 I didn't really lose that much weight, but it was just more my muscles were just.
00:16:03.000 Were you thinking about going to 55?
00:16:05.000 Were you like, damn, I might be able to make 55.
00:16:09.000 It would starve me.
00:16:11.000 I've made 155 one time in my career.
00:16:14.000 Dude, you made 55?
00:16:16.000 That must have been hell.
00:16:17.000 Yeah, it was the worst fight camp ever.
00:16:21.000 It was all based on.
00:16:23.000 On losing the weight, losing the weight, and then I was just so.
00:16:27.000 I remember after I made 155, I didn't even want to go to the gym for like a month, bro.
00:16:33.000 I was like, dude, I need to.
00:16:35.000 This, this, like, my body was just done, bro.
00:16:38.000 Yeah, you're killing your body.
00:16:39.000 Yeah, what is this?
00:16:42.000 Oh, yeah, that's some of the workouts I was doing while I was in prison, but no protein, unfortunately.
00:16:47.000 Yeah, but no protein, so I was getting pretty shredded.
00:16:50.000 Like, when in that like period in time, that was when we had like a lot of.
00:16:55.000 Like, we had food and everything was cool.
00:16:57.000 And if you notice.
00:16:58.000 Oh, look at that.
00:16:59.000 The double end bag.
00:17:00.000 That's nice, dude.
00:17:01.000 Yeah, dude.
00:17:02.000 And you can see the TV in the back with the PlayStation.
00:17:06.000 But I mean, it wasn't.
00:17:08.000 Dude, you're looking good.
00:17:10.000 Yeah.
00:17:11.000 Tighten those hands up.
00:17:12.000 Nice, I bet.
00:17:14.000 Yeah, man.
00:17:14.000 It was just like a whole experience.
00:17:16.000 And it was crazy because this guy, he'd be like, you know, the guards would come and be like, hey, leave my door open, yeah?
00:17:24.000 And the guards will actually.
00:17:26.000 Leave this door open so we were able to walk around the tier and go talk to other people.
00:17:30.000 Like me, I kept to myself a lot.
00:17:32.000 Like I've been in jail a ton of times before.
00:17:36.000 And I learned easily that you'll go along, you'll get by if you just mind your own business and not get involved in shit and not get involved with things.
00:17:50.000 So I'll just stick to myself and just get my workout on and.
00:17:57.000 Avoid trouble.
00:17:58.000 Avoid trouble, you know.
00:17:59.000 But it was crazy to see firsthand how the cartel operates.
00:18:06.000 And it's crazy, man.
00:18:07.000 They got their hands in everything over there.
00:18:09.000 Of course.
00:18:10.000 You know, there were 37 assassinations in Mexico last election.
00:18:10.000 Everything.
00:18:16.000 37.
00:18:17.000 Yeah.
00:18:17.000 Different political people.
00:18:19.000 And I was talking to Ed Calderon.
00:18:20.000 Do you know who he is?
00:18:22.000 Yeah, he's Ed Manifesto on Instagram.
00:18:22.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:18:25.000 He was, he used to work for the Mexican government.
00:18:28.000 And then he became an American citizen and he was involved with prosecuting the cartel, going after them, and stuff like that.
00:18:36.000 And he was essentially saying that the entire judicial system, all the mayors, everyone, if they get in, they're cartel members.
00:18:46.000 No one gets in.
00:18:47.000 No one is a mayor unless they're in the cartel.
00:18:50.000 And when they're getting assassinated, it's cartel assassinations.
00:18:54.000 It's one cartel wants their guy in and another cartel wants their guy in and they just shoot the other dude.
00:19:00.000 Yeah.
00:19:02.000 Remember since that was in America?
00:19:02.000 37.
00:19:02.000 Yeah.
00:19:04.000 The last, like the midterms.
00:19:06.000 Imagine during the primary, if 37 people got assassinated, we'd be like, what the fuck has happened to America?

00:20:18.000 So one of the guys there was actually the actual hitman who was.
00:20:23.000 An actual hitman.
00:20:26.000 And he was in there.
00:20:27.000 He's like, Yeah, man, I've killed like 30 cops in my whole experience.
00:20:32.000 And he was in there for, and they were just like telling me about all these things.
00:20:37.000 I'm like, Dude, like everybody is involved in this shit.
00:20:40.000 It's crazy, you know?
00:20:42.000 And over here, like if you kill a fucking cop, they're like, they're coming after you.
00:20:47.000 But over there, you know, I guess it's just another thing.
00:20:51.000 Killing cops are a lower tier than the cartel.
00:20:55.000 Yeah.
00:20:55.000 That's what it is.
00:20:56.000 The cartel have more money, more power, more influence.
00:20:59.000 Yeah.
00:21:00.000 And it's crazy how, like, murders just, they're not even that big of a deal over there.
00:21:06.000 You know, while I was in there, I was reading or I saw that Mexico has the Guinness World Record for missing persons.
00:21:16.000 Holy shit, dude.
00:21:17.000 Yeah.
00:21:18.000 Yeah.
00:21:19.000 There's so many, like, it was so many hitmen in there.
00:21:19.000 And it was crazy.
00:21:21.000 It was crazy.
00:21:22.000 But, you know, I didn't get no shit from nobody.
00:21:26.000 You know, everybody was, like, cool as hell.
00:21:28.000 That's awesome.
00:21:29.000 Well, you're an easy to get along with dude.
00:21:30.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:21:31.000 Yeah.
00:21:31.000 Luckily.
00:21:32.000 Did anybody ask you to train him?
00:21:34.000 Actually, dude, there's some dogs in there, man.
00:21:36.000 I bet.
00:21:37.000 There's this one guy in particular.
00:21:39.000 I'm like, dude, you got to fucking start fighting.
00:21:42.000 And he was one of the military dudes, and he's just a little fucking machine, dude.
00:21:48.000 And in the time that I was there, he got really good really quick, you know?
00:21:52.000 And I'm like, dude, you got to go to the gym down in TJ, that interim gym.
00:21:58.000 I had mentioned, like, yo, even when I got released, That man, we did a whole lot of things to try to get me out.
00:22:09.000 Man, there's a ton of fighters even try to pull some strings for me, like Yahya Rodriguez, you know, Brandon Moreno.
00:22:17.000 He's from TJ, and nobody could help me out.
00:22:22.000 Man, everybody tried to pull strings for me.
00:22:24.000 Nobody came up with a number, yeah, eventually.
00:22:30.000 What was the number?
00:22:31.000 Can you tell?
00:22:33.000 I don't want you to get in trouble.
00:22:34.000 Nah.
00:22:35.000 No, don't get in trouble.
00:22:36.000 Yeah, but it was.
00:22:37.000 Talk to me later.
00:22:38.000 It was hefty.
00:22:39.000 I bet.
00:22:39.000 It was not cheap.
00:22:40.000 I bet.
00:22:41.000 It was not cheap at all.
00:22:42.000 Yeah.
00:22:42.000 I bet.
00:22:43.000 Everybody wants to get paid.
00:22:45.000 Yeah, dude.
00:22:45.000 Oh, man.
00:22:46.000 Yeah, it was a crazy experience, dude.
00:22:49.000 And to get out of jail, you know, and then now I have this fight.
00:22:57.000 I'm headlining UFC Serbia, first time in Serbia, fighting Eurosmetic.
00:23:04.000 When is that fight?
00:23:05.000 August 1st.
00:23:06.000 Nice.
00:23:07.000 Yeah, to get out of, to get, to go through all that and then, and then to have this opportunity is just crazy.
00:23:15.000 And to be here, to be here is just, is just crazy, man.
00:23:18.000 Cause I didn't, I didn't think I was going to get, I wasn't sure if I was going to get out, man.
00:23:22.000 For good reason.
00:23:22.000 I thought it was.
00:23:23.000 A lot of people don't.
00:23:24.000 Yeah.
00:23:24.000 Yeah.
00:23:25.000 You know, the United States prison system is fucked too, but nothing like Mexico's.
00:23:30.000 Everybody that I've talked to that has any experience in Mexican jail and, I'm like, dude, it's not good.
00:23:37.000 Yeah, nah, man.
00:23:39.000 Uh, It was crazy, bro.
00:23:41.000 I just can't believe the cartel can't sneak meat in.
00:23:44.000 We did sometimes.
00:23:45.000 Yeah, sometimes.
00:23:46.000 Yeah, we did some.
00:23:47.000 They would bring us groceries, bro.
00:23:50.000 Oh, really?
00:23:51.000 Yeah.
00:23:52.000 Because that's the first thing that I would want, man.
00:23:54.000 I would feel like, look, what do we got to do to these guards?
00:23:57.000 What kind of car do you drive, dog?
00:23:59.000 Let's upgrade that motherfucker.
00:24:02.000 We got to do something.
00:24:03.000 I can't be eating noodles.
00:24:05.000 Yeah, man.
00:24:06.000 Especially as hard as you work out.
00:24:08.000 Yeah, I was working out like two, three hard workouts a day.
00:24:14.000 So I'm kind of programmed to just work out.
00:24:20.000 I think from my prior experience, Jail experiences before.
00:24:23.000 The only positive thing that I think that helped me in that whole everything that I've been through is like when you're in jail, like I personally, I'm like, I would think, like, dude, you gotta be strong.
00:24:38.000 You gotta be able to defend yourself.
00:24:39.000 You're gonna like, that's my whole reason for staying in shape.
00:24:43.000 You know, when I started doing MMA, it was just to be able to defend myself, you know, in situations like if I ever did go to jail.
00:24:53.000 You know, and the only thing that I positive that I took from that is like when I got released from prison prior, I just want to work out.
00:25:06.000 I'm already programmed to just work out all day, you know.
00:25:10.000 So once I found MMA, I was like, oh, this is perfect, you know.
00:25:16.000 And how old were you when you first started training?
00:25:19.000 25.
00:25:19.000 Wow.
00:25:21.000 Yeah.
00:25:21.000 That's great.
00:25:22.000 Yeah, dude.
00:25:23.000 To turn into a UFC contender, that's very impressive.
00:25:27.000 Not a lot of guys started late.
00:25:28.000 Did you have any sports experience before that?
00:25:31.000 Nothing.
00:25:31.000 None, bro.
00:25:32.000 That's crazy.
00:25:32.000 None.
00:25:33.000 None.
00:25:34.000 But I had been in, no bullshit, though, I had been in probably around 200 street fights already, including all my jail experience.
00:25:44.000 You know, when I was in juvenile hall, I was a straight knucklehead, bro.
00:25:49.000 I was fighting like every other day.
00:25:52.000 And it was just, it became just fun.
00:25:55.000 Like, if you were like a tough looking dude, it'd be like, hey, what's up, man?
00:25:55.000 Just fun.
00:26:00.000 You want to scrap or what, bro?
00:26:01.000 Like, you know, I'll just, he's like, why?
00:26:02.000 I'm like, cause you're big, bro.
00:26:04.000 I just want to fight you.
00:26:08.000 And with no training?
00:26:08.000 Yeah.
00:26:09.000 You had no training at all?
00:26:10.000 Nah, no training, man.
00:26:12.000 Just, just, just want to learn how to fight.
00:26:15.000 Just want to be tough.
00:26:16.000 Buy fighting.
00:26:17.000 Yeah.
00:26:17.000 Yeah.
00:26:18.000 So it's a crazy way to learn.
00:26:19.000 Yeah, dude.
00:26:20.000 Just, and like, dude, you can't, I mean, like, imagine getting a fight with your cellmate.
00:26:25.000 I got some crazy shit.
00:26:26.000 That's crazy shit.
00:26:27.000 Yeah.
00:26:28.000 You got to sleep together.
00:26:29.000 Sleep with one eye open, bro.
00:26:31.000 Yeah, if you sleep at all.
00:26:32.000 Yeah.
00:26:33.000 Yeah.
00:26:34.000 And yeah, so that's the only experience I had prior to starting MMA.
00:26:40.000 And then I remember I stopped going to jail when I was like 23.
00:26:46.000 When I stopped going to jail, I started having kids.
00:26:48.000 And I'm like, all right, I got to stop gangbanging because I used to think going to jail was cool.
00:26:55.000 I used to think it was cool because you get out and you just have a little more respect.
00:27:02.000 I thought it was cool.
00:27:04.000 I thought, oh, going to jail makes you a badass.
00:27:08.000 But once I started having kids, I realized, all right, I got to take care of.
00:27:13.000 I got human beings I got to take care of and raise.
00:27:17.000 So I started looking for any possible way to try to live a decent life.
00:27:23.000 And I've tried everything, man.
00:27:24.000 I've had every job you could think of.
00:27:26.000 But.
00:27:27.000 I've even had good jobs before and I've lost them, you know, by just being a knucklehead and going back to jail.
00:27:35.000 And I remember I got out of prison one time and my cousin hits me up and he's like, Yo, come to my house, bro.
00:27:43.000 We're going to watch some fights and barbecue and stuff.
00:27:45.000 I was like, All right, yeah, dope.
00:27:46.000 And I was like, Who's Fighting, he's like, um, some dude Rampage.
00:27:50.000 I'm like, who the fuck's Rampage?
00:27:52.000 So I get there, and that's when Forrest Griffin had fought.
00:27:56.000 Rampage won the light heavyweight title, and I'm like, yo, this is amazing, bro.
00:28:03.000 And then I fell in love with Chuck Liddell, and I'm like, dude, this he's just like me, bro.
00:28:08.000 He's like, knock him dudes out, you know.
00:28:13.000 And I just obsessed with it.
00:28:15.000 I just obsessed with it.
00:28:16.000 So that was your first exposure to MMA.
00:28:19.000 I had seen it before.
00:28:21.000 Like when it was Tank Abbott.
00:28:22.000 Oh, early days.
00:28:23.000 Yeah, in the early days, but it never caught my attention.
00:28:27.000 Because I had always been a boxing fan.
00:28:29.000 I'm a huge boxing fan.
00:28:31.000 And I grew up watching boxing.
00:28:34.000 Like, majority of my family functions growing up, they were all boxing events like Oscar de la Hoya, Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather.
00:28:45.000 And I was just, I loved boxing, you know.
00:28:47.000 And I remember, I mean, I did have a little bit of experience before going into MMA because when I lived in the hood, I would always have boxing gloves and I would always make my homies fight each other.
00:28:59.000 Like, when we're all hanging, like, hey, you go with him, you go with him.
00:29:02.000 Because, like, you know, we're all boys and I want them to, like, I always wanted them to, to, to, like, hey, in case anything happens, in case we're ever all out and we get in a rumble with somebody or anything like that, like, I try to make my homies more tougher, you know, cause, like, hey, you guys got to have my back, I got yours.
00:29:18.000 And that's just something we just did, you know, or like, we'll just go body shots, body punches, you know?
00:29:26.000 Right.
00:29:27.000 And just fight each other.
00:29:28.000 So that's.
00:29:29.000 Kind of my background, bro, to be honest with you.
00:29:34.000 And yeah, man, I just carried that into the gym when I first went.
00:29:38.000 What was the first gym you went to?
00:29:40.000 It was called Tap Out in downtown LA.
00:29:42.000 Okay.
00:29:43.000 At the time, I think that's.
00:29:46.000 I was training with Eddie Bravo, and he had moved in 10th last.
00:29:50.000 So that's when I first started, I wanted to box.
00:29:54.000 I remember the Tap Out gym very well.
00:29:56.000 Yeah, it was a great gym.
00:29:56.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:29:57.000 Yeah.
00:29:59.000 And I remember when I first started going there, I was working construction.
00:30:03.000 I was working on a high rise in downtown LA.
00:30:09.000 And I would pass by every day.
00:30:11.000 I'm like, man, I want to go in there.
00:30:13.000 But I never would go in there.
00:30:16.000 I'll just pass by and I'll get home and I'll talk to my big mom.
00:30:18.000 I'm like, man, there's this gym called Tap Out.
00:30:21.000 I really want to go.
00:30:23.000 She's like, oh, yeah.
00:30:24.000 But I would talk about it all the time.
00:30:25.000 But I never had, I don't know.
00:30:30.000 It's kind of nervous walking into a gym for the first time and you don't know what to expect.
00:30:34.000 But I was just a fan.
00:30:36.000 And so I walked.
00:30:38.000 Actually, the way I got started was it was our anniversary.
00:30:45.000 And as a gift, she gave me a gym membership.
00:30:49.000 And then I went to the gym, and the coaches were like, yo, dude, who is this guy?
00:30:55.000 But when I first went in there, I was so raw and just so like.
00:31:01.000 Street fighting experience, but I had power.
00:31:04.000 I had some power, and you know, I just fell in love with it.
00:31:08.000 And the coaches were like, even the days I wouldn't show up, because in the beginning of it, I was still like, still had that knucklehead mentality.
00:31:16.000 I'll still be out partying with my friends or not show up to the gym.
00:31:19.000 And coaches will actually call me, Yo, where are you at?
00:31:22.000 You need to be in the gym, you need to be training.
00:31:24.000 So, I guess what helped me in the beginning was my coaches, like, really.
00:31:32.000 Noticing that I had like a talent, you know, I had potential.
00:31:37.000 And I just obsessed with it, man, and fell in love with the whole training experience.
00:31:43.000 And I remember my first time trying jujitsu.
00:31:47.000 It was a skinny, fucking, skinny, dorky looking dude.
00:31:50.000 He was like, Hey, you need to come train jujitsu, man.
00:31:53.000 I was like, Nah.
00:31:53.000 Come train jujitsu.
00:31:55.000 Because I remember right before I watched it, I was like, Oh, man, wrestling is gay, dude.
00:32:01.000 Dude, wrestling is gay.
00:32:02.000 Nobody was trying to watch that.
00:32:04.000 And then obviously, you go through that experience.
00:32:07.000 I'm like, All right.
00:32:08.000 So the skinny dude is like, Come on, man, just try it out.
00:32:11.000 I bet you can't.
00:32:12.000 I bet you I could make you tap or whatever.
00:32:14.000 He went and strangled me.
00:32:14.000 I was like, Nah, nah.
00:32:16.000 You know, I'm like, oh, hell no.
00:32:18.000 I hate losing, bro.
00:32:19.000 So I was like, and there's two different kinds of people.
00:32:22.000 There's people that will get their ass whooped and just be like, nah, this ain't for me.
00:32:25.000 Or you get your ass whooped and you're like, oh, I never want that to happen again.
00:32:31.000 You know, so I would show up every day determined, like, one day I'm going to win.
00:32:35.000 One day I'm going to get him.
00:32:36.000 One day I'm going to get him.
00:32:38.000 And that honestly kept me in the game.
00:32:41.000 It's amazing how little tiny dudes can fuck you up.
00:32:41.000 You know?
00:32:44.000 Yeah.
00:32:45.000 Dude, that's the last thing I expected.
00:32:48.000 I was like, what?
00:32:49.000 Jiu jitsu is the only thing that, like, you know, in martial arts movies, there was always this myth that the little guy could fuck up all the bigger guys.
00:32:56.000 But with striking, that's hard.
00:32:56.000 Yeah.
00:32:58.000 Power is real.
00:33:00.000 Size is real.
00:33:01.000 Mass is real.
00:33:02.000 Yeah.
00:33:02.000 There's just too many variables.
00:33:04.000 If a guy knows how to throw a good one, two, you might be fucked.
00:33:07.000 He hits you in the clinch.
00:33:08.000 You can't get away from his clinch.
00:33:09.000 He's too strong.
00:33:10.000 He clubs you.
00:33:11.000 You're fucked.
00:33:12.000 Yeah.
00:33:13.000 But jiu jitsu, man, there's no lucky punches in jiu jitsu.
00:33:15.000 And that's what's crazy when a little guy just annihilates you.
00:33:19.000 It's so humbling.
00:33:20.000 Yeah.
00:33:21.000 My first experience was a dude who was a purple belt.
00:33:24.000 I was a white belt.
00:33:25.000 And he was my size.
00:33:27.000 I was like, this dude's my size.
00:33:28.000 Like, isn't that a bigger dude?
00:33:30.000 This is going to be, you know, competitive.
00:33:32.000 He just raped me.
00:33:34.000 Just did whatever the fuck he wanted to do to me arm barred me, triangled me.
00:33:37.000 And I remember leaving going, I am so delusional.
00:33:40.000 I had this idea in my head, you know, that I knew how to fight.
00:33:44.000 And then until I started doing jiu jitsu, I was like, I don't know anything.
00:33:47.000 I'm helpless.
00:33:48.000 Like, completely helpless.
00:33:50.000 Yeah.
00:33:51.000 But, you know, like you, the smart thing to do, like what you did is just.
00:33:56.000 Go, I want to learn that.
00:33:57.000 Yeah.
00:33:58.000 And you having the courage to do that, you know, especially as a guy who didn't have any martial arts experience at all, just like throw yourself into it.
00:34:07.000 It's very difficult to do, man.
00:34:09.000 And especially at 25.
00:34:10.000 Yeah.
00:34:11.000 Because by 25, like John Jones had already been a UFC champion and defended it multiple times.
00:34:15.000 You know, it's like by the time you're starting out, so many guys are like in the middle of their career.
00:34:21.000 Yeah.
00:34:22.000 So that's one thing that I've always thought about.
00:34:26.000 Um, And why I work so hard is I feel like I have to catch up to these dudes that have been doing this their whole life.
00:34:34.000 You know, like dudes have been in the gym since they were kids doing karate and jogging.
00:34:39.000 You know, there is a thing, though, about having a lot of street fights.
00:34:43.000 There's a mental edge to being in a lot of conflict and a lot of combat.
00:34:47.000 One of the things I've always noticed about you when you fight, you're very calm.
00:34:50.000 Like when you get in there, you're very relaxed.
00:34:52.000 Yeah.
00:34:53.000 And it's like life experience.
00:34:55.000 You know?
00:34:56.000 That's a factor.
00:34:57.000 Yeah, I just feel like.
00:34:58.000 In an MMA fight, it's a safe environment.
00:35:02.000 Believe it or not, to me, it's safe.
00:35:06.000 Because if anything goes wrong, the rest are right there.
00:35:09.000 Like, all right, there, that's it.
00:35:11.000 It's done.
00:35:11.000 It's a fair fight.
00:35:13.000 I've been in situations where I don't know if I'm going to live.
00:35:18.000 If I don't survive this, I might die.
00:35:22.000 And I think that I carry that a lot while I fight, and that's why I look so calm.
00:35:31.000 I've been, I'm calm and hectic, sit like.
00:35:34.000 Yeah, it's not the worst thing you've experienced.
00:35:36.000 That's not.
00:35:37.000 For a lot of fighters, it's the most dangerous thing they've ever experienced.
00:35:40.000 Yeah.
00:35:41.000 And they step into that octagon and they close that door and they're looking across the octagon at another train killer.
00:35:46.000 Like, oh boy, this is the scariest thing that's ever happened to them.
00:35:50.000 Yeah.
00:35:50.000 So there's a mental benefit that you have for having all those street fights.
00:35:54.000 And even though you didn't start until late, man, the mental game might be most of the fighting.
00:36:00.000 Yeah, man.
00:36:01.000 When I step in there, I'm just happy to be there.
00:36:06.000 I'm lucky to be out here.
00:36:08.000 I'm lucky to have my freedom.
00:36:09.000 I'm lucky to be alive.
00:36:11.000 You know, so when I'm walking out to a fight, like, I just feel happy, dude.
00:36:16.000 I'm just, it's just happy, happiness.
00:36:19.000 Like, you know, cause while I'm backstage, I'm like thinking, how did I get here, dude?
00:36:25.000 You know, like, I'm just, how the fuck did I do this?
00:36:28.000 How did I make it this far, you know?
00:36:29.000 Right.
00:36:30.000 And, you know, like, a situation like this, like, where I'm fresh out of jail, you know, and I'm like, dude, like, Main event in Serbia against a guy from Serbia is crazy, bro.
00:36:47.000 But you know what?
00:36:49.000 Just live that shit, man.
00:36:52.000 I told myself, dude, this is your opportunity to tell, like, this shit's a movie, bro.
00:36:59.000 Like, my life is crazy.
00:37:00.000 It is a movie if you think about it.
00:37:02.000 I mean, very few people live that life.
00:37:04.000 In and out of jail many times, locked up in Mexico for eight months, never knowing if you're going to get out.
00:37:10.000 Next thing you know, you're headlining a UFC card.
00:37:13.000 Yeah, man.
00:37:14.000 Main event.
00:37:14.000 Sitting here.
00:37:15.000 Yeah, sitting here on the Joe Rogan experience.
00:37:18.000 You know, telling my story is just, you know.
00:37:21.000 Where's Eurus Medic ranked?
00:37:23.000 Is he above you or above you?
00:37:24.000 He's number 13.
00:37:26.000 What are you at?
00:37:27.000 15.
00:37:27.000 Yeah, so both of you guys, top contenders.
00:37:29.000 I'm surprised throughout that whole process, they kept me in the rankings.
00:37:33.000 Wow.
00:37:34.000 Good respect to them, you know.
00:37:36.000 Also, they probably realized you were probably working out in jail.
00:37:41.000 Yeah.
00:37:42.000 Yeah, man.
00:37:43.000 But I mean, it's not, you shouldn't be punished for something like that.
00:37:46.000 You got, Stuck in a crazy situation.
00:37:48.000 Especially if you're coming from California where weed's legal.
00:37:48.000 Yeah, man.
00:37:51.000 Everybody gets confused.
00:37:53.000 You know, you have that weed in California.
00:37:55.000 Everybody is everywhere.
00:37:56.000 It's totally legal.
00:37:57.000 That's why it didn't even cross my mind.
00:38:00.000 It didn't even cross my mind.
00:38:02.000 I know.
00:38:03.000 Hey, we can get in trouble for this.
00:38:04.000 That's crazy.
00:38:06.000 I would have never known those laws because I heard that it was decriminalized.
00:38:09.000 I thought, oh, they got other shit to worry about.
00:38:13.000 They got cartel problems and fentanyl problems.
00:38:15.000 They don't give a fuck if you're bringing in weed.
00:38:18.000 Well, now I have a part of the process of me getting out is like I had to get, like now I have dual citizenship in Mexico.
00:38:18.000 Yeah.
00:38:27.000 Now you do?
00:38:27.000 Yeah.
00:38:28.000 Because of getting out?
00:38:29.000 No, no.
00:38:31.000 My lawyers, it was a part of me getting out.
00:38:35.000 So, like, when you pulled up the decriminalized?
00:38:42.000 The laws for citizens.
00:38:42.000 Mm hmm.
00:38:43.000 Yeah, the laws for citizens.
00:38:45.000 So that was a process of getting out.
00:38:47.000 Oh, so you became a citizen, so the law was less for you?
00:38:50.000 Yeah.
00:38:51.000 That's hilarious.
00:38:52.000 So it was a ton of stuff that we had to do, man.
00:38:54.000 Bro, that is a crazy loophole.
00:38:56.000 Yeah.
00:38:57.000 Yeah.
00:38:58.000 So now people are asking me.
00:38:59.000 Damn, everybody should become a citizen of Mexico.
00:39:01.000 Yeah, man.
00:39:02.000 I ain't never going back to Mexico.
00:39:04.000 I'm not going back for a while, bro.
00:39:05.000 I cannot see myself.
00:39:07.000 I don't even want to go back.
00:39:09.000 Especially since I released the footage of me working out in prison and stuff.
00:39:14.000 I don't ever want to go to Mexico and for any reason they're like, get his ass.
00:39:22.000 Bring him back over there.
00:39:23.000 And they probably would too.
00:39:23.000 Yeah.
00:39:24.000 Yeah.
00:39:26.000 At the very least, try to get more money out of you.
00:39:28.000 Definitely.
00:39:29.000 Especially after you're headlining a UFC card.
00:39:31.000 Yeah.
00:39:32.000 And on top of that, like, like, um, like releasing that footage was like definitely like a no no.
00:39:40.000 How did you.
00:39:40.000 But since.
00:39:41.000 Did they all have cell phones inside?
00:39:43.000 So we had cell phones.
00:39:43.000 Yeah.
00:39:45.000 Yeah.
00:39:46.000 So were you texting your friends?
00:39:47.000 You could text your lawyer, all that shit?
00:39:49.000 Yeah.
00:39:49.000 Did you worry that your text would be intercepted?
00:39:53.000 No, no, not at all.
00:39:54.000 Because, uh, I would text everybody or call everybody on WhatsApp.
00:39:58.000 And I guess.
00:39:59.000 Yeah, it's encrypted.
00:40:00.000 Yeah, it's encrypted.
00:40:02.000 And so when you're doing all this and filming all this, you just save the footage.
00:40:06.000 And then when you got out, no, I would send it.
00:40:08.000 I would send it to like my friends.
00:40:10.000 So I sent it to one of my buddies and I was like, yo, save all this stuff.
00:40:14.000 Because when I get out, this is going to be big, bro.
00:40:19.000 You know?
00:40:19.000 Well, I'm glad they didn't release it before you got out.
00:40:22.000 Yeah.
00:40:23.000 Yeah.
00:40:24.000 You got to really trust your friends because that could have been fucked.
00:40:26.000 Yeah, man.
00:40:27.000 And the whole time, like, no one knew where I was at, no one knew what I was going on.
00:40:31.000 And there were a couple rumors going around that.
00:40:34.000 I was backpacking in Peru.
00:40:38.000 Another one was one of my buddies.
00:40:41.000 It's crazy how the internet believes anything, bro.
00:40:46.000 People thought I was building wells in Rwanda.
00:40:50.000 One of my buddies said that.
00:40:51.000 He's like, oh, he's building wells in Rwanda doing God's work.
00:40:54.000 People ran with that.
00:40:56.000 Actually, people, when I got released right away, they were like, oh, Kevin Holland bailed him out.
00:41:04.000 Kevin Holland bailed him out to get a rematch.
00:41:08.000 People believe that.
00:41:09.000 That's hilarious.
00:41:10.000 That's so funny.
00:41:13.000 It must have been so weird.
00:41:15.000 So, when you're inside, did they have the internet?
00:41:20.000 Could they watch fights?
00:41:22.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:41:23.000 Actually, so they ended up putting like these scramblers, like these towers that mess up the signal.
00:41:31.000 And we ended up getting what's that?
00:41:35.000 That Tesla thing?
00:41:36.000 Starlink?
00:41:38.000 We ended up getting Starlink.
00:41:39.000 He got Starlink and a team went out of jail.
00:41:42.000 Oh my God, that's insane.
00:41:44.000 Yeah, we ended up getting Starlink and had Wi Fi for a little while.
00:41:47.000 And then I remember we ended up losing all that stuff because, like, every once in a while, they'd be like, hey, the guards will come.
00:41:57.000 Like, hey, they're going to come do inspections.
00:41:59.000 And, you know, so they would, like, hide everything.
00:42:02.000 And I remember this one time they hid everything and they're like, oh, we're not going to give back to you guys.
00:42:07.000 So we ended up, that was like, I'd say like by the fifth month, that's when like they really started cracking down and stopped bringing us like the extra food.
00:42:18.000 And the food that like the prison food in there, dude, is it's the worst.
00:42:23.000 It's terrible, terrible.
00:42:26.000 Tortillas, like with every meal, like five tortillas, rice or beans, and like some kind of like soup.
00:42:35.000 But the soup is pretty much, there's no meat in it.
00:42:38.000 It's, it's, um, Majority of it is like potatoes and carrots.
00:42:44.000 You know, like.
00:42:45.000 So, your only protein you're getting from beans?
00:42:47.000 Yeah.
00:42:49.000 Yeah.
00:42:49.000 Wow.
00:42:50.000 And it was just horrible, dirty, unsanitary.
00:42:52.000 What's the first thing you ate when you got out?
00:42:55.000 First thing I ate when I got out was a double Western bacon cheeseburger from Carl's Jr.
00:43:05.000 It wasn't even the best ever.
00:43:06.000 Yeah, man.
00:43:07.000 And I couldn't even finish it because at the time, like, my stomach was so.
00:43:11.000 I got.
00:43:12.000 I like.
00:43:13.000 I got full as hell, man.
00:43:14.000 Like, it was crazy.
00:43:16.000 And, man, I was so skinny when I got out, bro.
00:43:22.000 It was crazy.
00:43:23.000 So, like, this whole time, I've just been like trying to just bulk back up, you know.
00:43:29.000 So, what did you weigh?
00:43:29.000 Did you weigh yourself when you got out?
00:43:32.000 When I weighed myself when I got out, and I normally walk around 200, and I was like around 180, you know, but I looked horrible, bro.
00:43:41.000 Like, I looked like I just cut weight.
00:43:44.000 I looked like I was like.
00:43:45.000 I'm sure.
00:43:46.000 Yeah, it was horrible, but it was like I wasn't shredded or nothing.
00:43:49.000 I just had no muscle definition, and it was just.
00:43:53.000 It was bad, bro.
00:43:55.000 And I remember when I first got out, man, I was like thinking, like, all right, I tried.
00:44:01.000 Like, when I got out, I hit the.
00:44:02.000 Like, I got out ready to just, like, all right, I'm getting my life back.
00:44:07.000 I'm going to train my ass off, bro.
00:44:09.000 I was so out of shape.
00:44:11.000 I was so out of shape, bro.
00:44:13.000 And I was like really discouraged at the time, you know?
00:44:15.000 I was like, dude, I don't know.
00:44:16.000 I think my fucking career is over, dude.
00:44:18.000 I don't know how I'm going to come back from this, you know?
00:44:20.000 I was so out of shape.
00:44:23.000 That's crazy because you were working out so much in jail.
00:44:23.000 And.
00:44:26.000 Yeah, but it was just.
00:44:28.000 Because of the lack of nutrition.
00:44:32.000 Yeah, nutrition.
00:44:32.000 I was like so mountaineering.
00:44:33.000 Your body was just destroyed.
00:44:35.000 Yeah, it was horrible, bro.
00:44:36.000 And I almost thought, dude, I can't do this shit anymore, dude.
00:44:40.000 Like, I'm not going to.
00:44:43.000 I think my career might be over, you know?
00:44:46.000 And I was just in my head about it for a little bit.
00:44:50.000 And then, you know, like, I was like, nah, you know, I'm a fucking soldier, dude.
00:44:56.000 I could bounce back from this.
00:44:58.000 And, you know, I just really believed that.
00:45:02.000 Through hard work, you know, I'll get back to my old self, and now I feel great, dude.
00:45:07.000 How long did it take before you start feeling normal?
00:45:10.000 About a.
00:45:12.000 I'm barely starting to feel like 100% now.
00:45:15.000 Yeah.
00:45:15.000 Now?
00:45:16.000 And when did you get out?
00:45:18.000 It's been almost two months.
00:45:20.000 Wow, that's not a lot of time.
00:45:22.000 Yeah.
00:45:23.000 And when is this fight, is August 1st?
00:45:26.000 Yeah, it's another.
00:45:28.000 No, two months?
00:45:29.000 Yeah.
00:45:29.000 That's good.
00:45:30.000 Yeah, and I feel good now.
00:45:32.000 That's crazy, though.
00:45:33.000 It takes you two months, and then now you're back.
00:45:35.000 You look normal, like physically.
00:45:37.000 You look healthy.
00:45:38.000 So it took you that time to just put the weight back on and get your muscle tone back and all that.
00:45:43.000 That's a good thing, though, that you were always in shape.
00:45:45.000 So you bounce back quicker.
00:45:47.000 You have muscle memory.
00:45:48.000 And actually, I've honestly been enjoying this whole process of, like, when I first got out, I could only run like a mile and I was dying, bro.
00:45:48.000 Yeah.
00:46:00.000 And through each run, I could see my progress.
00:46:05.000 I'm like, okay, I'm getting better.
00:46:06.000 Okay, I'm getting better.
00:46:07.000 And like, I'm in love with it right now.
00:46:08.000 I'm in love with getting better and better and better 1% every single day.
00:46:13.000 You know, I truly believe that through the work and to trust the work that I have ahead of me.
00:46:21.000 And I honestly think that by the time the fight gets here, I'm going to be in perfect peak shape.
00:46:27.000 That's awesome.
00:46:28.000 Yeah.
00:46:29.000 What a crazy comeback story.
00:46:30.000 Yeah, man.
00:46:31.000 Yeah.
00:46:31.000 You know?
00:46:32.000 And it's really just like a really deep personal one for me because from what.
00:46:40.000 When I first got out to now, it's just like, it's crazy.
00:46:45.000 It's crazy how the body can bounce back and just get back into shape.
00:46:50.000 Well, it's crazy the mind, too.
00:46:52.000 I mean, you must be so thankful.
00:46:55.000 Just every time you're training, yeah, you might be tired, but man, you must be so thankful that you're out and free and then you're working towards something big.
00:47:03.000 You know, you got a big fight coming up and what a blessing.
00:47:07.000 Yeah, man.
00:47:08.000 And I'm just embracing the whole process, you know, and I'm just.
00:47:12.000 I'm all for it.
00:47:13.000 Actually, going to jail and going through all that actually made me appreciate and value everything that I have going on right now.
00:47:13.000 I'm all in.
00:47:25.000 So I'm just like so grateful and so thankful that I even have this opportunity.
00:47:30.000 And I just signed a new contract with the UFC, six more fights.
00:47:34.000 Nice.
00:47:35.000 And now I'm a main event.
00:47:38.000 It's just crazy, dude.
00:47:39.000 Dude, if you go on to win the title from here, how crazy would that be?
00:47:42.000 Do you know what I'm saying?
00:47:43.000 Yeah.
00:47:44.000 That would be crazy.
00:47:45.000 And, you know, you beat Medic.
00:47:47.000 You're in the top 13, you're close to the top 10.
00:47:50.000 A few fights later, anything can happen in this sport.
00:47:52.000 Yeah, and I would even tell dudes like that, like realistically, bro, like I can, like I'm in four or five fights, go like four or five fights I could be fighting for the championship, you know?
00:48:02.000 Maybe even less.
00:48:03.000 In this sport, all it takes is a few spectacular results.
00:48:07.000 A few spectacular results, and people get behind you, and the crowd gets behind you, and next thing you know.
00:48:12.000 Yeah, I mean, if I go out there and smoke this guy, and it's going to be so much even bigger just because of the whole experience that I went through.
00:48:22.000 And, like, man, he got out of jail and just fucking knocked this dude out.
00:48:25.000 And, you know, why not?
00:48:29.000 Like, why, why not, bro?
00:48:30.000 You know, why, why can't I be that guy?
00:48:32.000 Like, you hear stories all the time of these incredible stories of people that become champions from nothing and been through all kinds of stuff.
00:48:40.000 Like, why not me, bro?
00:48:41.000 Listen, you never fucking know.
00:48:43.000 You never fucking know.
00:48:44.000 That's the crazy thing about this sport.
00:48:46.000 Yeah.
00:48:46.000 You know, anything can happen, dude.
00:48:49.000 I mean, you got Makachev as the title holder, which is.
00:48:49.000 Yeah.
00:48:53.000 You know, one of the baddest motherfuckers to ever do it.
00:48:56.000 That's part of the problem.
00:48:57.000 Yeah.
00:48:58.000 He's got the opposite life.
00:49:00.000 That's a guy that's been disciplined and training his entire life.
00:49:04.000 You know, it's never, never fucked around.
00:49:07.000 No drugs, no drinking, no nothing.
00:49:08.000 Just discipline.
00:49:10.000 Yeah.
00:49:11.000 It's a tough sell.
00:49:12.000 It's different, different levels, man.
00:49:14.000 Yeah.
00:49:14.000 There's different levels to it.
00:49:16.000 How old are you now?
00:49:17.000 39.
00:49:19.000 Yeah.
00:49:19.000 Yeah.
00:49:21.000 So that's like a couple more years left, man.
00:49:23.000 So that's why.
00:49:24.000 It's crazy while they stole eight months.
00:49:27.000 Of, like, very valuable time.
00:49:29.000 Yeah.
00:49:30.000 And that's one thing that, that's one, the number one thing that I was like, man, like, I'm running out of time, bro.
00:49:37.000 You know, I don't got, yeah, I don't got a lot of time left, you know.
00:49:39.000 So getting out, and like I said, like, I'm just, I'm just taking it a lot more serious, you know.
00:49:48.000 Where are you training now?
00:49:48.000 I'm sure.
00:49:50.000 So right now, I'm in, I'm in Vegas, training over at the PI at Extreme.
00:49:55.000 Oh, that's great.
00:49:56.000 At Extreme Court Tour.
00:49:57.000 And right now, and freestyle MMA.
00:50:00.000 While I'm in Vegas and while I'm in California, I go to classic fight team, training over at Tenori and 10 Planet.
00:50:12.000 But right now, I'm in Vegas right now.
00:50:15.000 It's so much easier.
00:50:16.000 LA is crazy, dude.
00:50:18.000 When I'm in LA, I'm on the road all fucking days.
00:50:18.000 I'm on the road.
00:50:22.000 LA traffic is just a nightmare.
00:50:25.000 So that's why I'm in Vegas right now because everything's so.
00:50:29.000 Close together and so convenient, and it's also so high level.
00:50:33.000 There's so much high level training in Vegas, yeah.
00:50:36.000 And the PI is an amazing resource for fighters, you know, as far as nutrition, cutting weight.
00:50:42.000 I mean, they'll get your meals for you, they get your supplements for you, they make sure that everything is, you know, safe for sport approved so you don't have to worry about testing positive for anything.
00:50:52.000 Like, the PI is amazing, yeah, such an incredible resource.
00:50:55.000 Yeah, right now it's a little bit crazy because, um, they're letting like the slap fight guys go there and the Zufa boxing guys.
00:51:04.000 I think.
00:51:05.000 Yeah.
00:51:05.000 So, yeah, those guys are using.
00:51:07.000 The slap fight guys train.
00:51:11.000 I don't know how they train.
00:51:12.000 Like, how do you train for that, bro?
00:51:14.000 You know, you do neck workouts.
00:51:17.000 I don't know.
00:51:17.000 I guess that's it.
00:51:18.000 Yeah.
00:51:19.000 Right?
00:51:20.000 Swinging things with your arms.
00:51:22.000 Yeah.
00:51:23.000 I guess like cable machines.
00:51:24.000 Like, you know what I'm saying?
00:51:25.000 Like, get a cable machine on your wrist and do this a bunch of times.
00:51:29.000 So they have at the PI, they have like this thing that gauges your power and your strike.
00:51:29.000 Yeah.
00:51:38.000 And they use that all the time.
00:51:39.000 The power slap guys do?
00:51:41.000 Oh, that's so silly.
00:51:42.000 Yeah.
00:51:43.000 And then also the Zufa boxing guys are there too.
00:51:46.000 So it's a little bit hectic right now.
00:51:48.000 There's like a lot going on.
00:51:50.000 Yeah, I could imagine.
00:51:51.000 Yeah.
00:51:52.000 Power slap guys, that's a different thing.
00:51:54.000 I've never been to one of those.
00:51:55.000 I hear that one either.
00:51:57.000 I hear you have to go to one to enjoy it.
00:52:00.000 You have to be on acid.
00:52:02.000 Yeah.
00:52:04.000 To me, it's like, I don't know, man.
00:52:07.000 I feel like letting someone just swing on you.
00:52:10.000 And the thing is, if you get the first swing, you have a giant advantage.
00:52:15.000 Yeah.
00:52:16.000 The first swing is a crazy advantage.
00:52:17.000 That's dangerous, bro.
00:52:18.000 That's just getting, you know, just getting whacked.
00:52:22.000 And some of these guys get knocked out.
00:52:25.000 Yeah.
00:52:25.000 Oh, 100%, man.
00:52:26.000 It's not less powerful than a punch.
00:52:29.000 You know, this is the idea that you're slapping like this.
00:52:32.000 That's not what they're hitting with the palm of the hand.
00:52:34.000 Yeah.
00:52:35.000 Right on your fucking jaw.
00:52:36.000 Yeah.
00:52:37.000 It's super powerful.
00:52:38.000 You can only take so many of those in your whole life, you know, and you're lining up for those.
00:52:42.000 Yeah.
00:52:43.000 And I mean, you can imagine like their nerve damage on your face, too.
00:52:47.000 Well, I mean, look, I'm for whatever you want to do.
00:52:49.000 You want to jump BMX bikes?
00:52:51.000 You want to ride bulls?
00:52:52.000 You want to power slap?
00:52:54.000 This is America.
00:52:54.000 Have at it.
00:52:55.000 Have a good time.
00:52:56.000 Yeah.
00:52:57.000 But it seems like at an MMA gym, it should be MMA fighters.
00:53:01.000 I don't, I mean, the boxing is probably a good crossover.
00:53:03.000 Like, you could probably get some good work with some of those guys.
00:53:06.000 Yeah.
00:53:06.000 You know, and also seeing high level boxers train is good.
00:53:10.000 It's great for your technique, it's great for just raising the level up in the gym.
00:53:16.000 Yeah.
00:53:17.000 Yeah.
00:53:17.000 No, it's, it's, it's really dope.
00:53:18.000 I love, I love the PI, man.
00:53:20.000 Uh, And Vegas in general, like there's so many killers out there, you know?
00:53:25.000 It's one of the best places in the world for MMA training.
00:53:27.000 I mean, you got Extreme Couture.
00:53:29.000 Think of how many killers are training out of there.
00:53:32.000 You know, you got Syndicate.
00:53:35.000 There's so many places, man.
00:53:36.000 Yeah.
00:53:37.000 It's incredible.
00:53:38.000 So much jujitsu.
00:53:39.000 Robert Drysdale's there.
00:53:40.000 There's so many guys that are there.
00:53:42.000 Tenth Planet there.
00:53:43.000 There's so much jujitsu there.
00:53:45.000 There's so much MMA there.
00:53:47.000 I mean, if you're a fighter, it's like one of the best places to live.
00:53:52.000 Yeah, I remember when I first went out there, I was in about 2020.
00:53:58.000 I was on Cowboys camp, and he went out there, and that's when I saw firsthand all the amenities from the PI and the whole Vegas experience.
00:54:12.000 And so I decided to move out there.
00:54:14.000 So I lived out there for like two years, and I've just been going back and forth ever since.
00:54:18.000 It's worth living there just for the PI.
00:54:20.000 Yeah.
00:54:21.000 And then there's so much Muay Thai there, there's so much everything, there's so much greatness.
00:54:26.000 Training there.
00:54:27.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:54:28.000 There's a ton of gyms, like you said, man.
00:54:31.000 There might not be another city in the country that's like Vegas in that regard.
00:54:35.000 Yeah.
00:54:36.000 Think about boxing.
00:54:37.000 You got Floyd Mayweather's gyms there, which is crazy, right?
00:54:39.000 There's a bunch of other gyms there.
00:54:41.000 You got high level boxers there.
00:54:43.000 You got high level Muay Thai guys there.
00:54:45.000 You know, One Kick Nick has his place there.
00:54:47.000 There's so much high level training in Vegas.

00:55:54.000 Oh, yeah.
00:55:54.000 Yeah, Anthony and Chidi.
00:55:56.000 They have their own gym?
00:55:57.000 Yeah.
00:55:58.000 Okay.
00:55:59.000 They were with one kick, Nick, right?
00:56:00.000 Yeah.
00:56:01.000 Yeah.
00:56:02.000 Fucking crazy town.
00:56:04.000 Training.
00:56:04.000 Yeah, man.
00:56:05.000 And again, like, I can't say enough.
00:56:07.000 Like, every time I've been to the PI a bunch of times, but when I first went there, Before they were really open, when they were really getting rolling, I was like, this is incredible.
00:56:16.000 Like, if you're a fighter, you have a place that has all the recovery stuff, all the high end, top notch recovery stuff cold plunge, saunas, all the everything, like all physical therapy, supplements.
00:56:30.000 When I found out they make food for you, I was like, this is crazy.
00:56:33.000 Yeah, I love that part.
00:56:36.000 I'm always there.
00:56:37.000 You know, you could go there, order whatever you want.
00:56:40.000 You know, and she's like, sure, steak and.
00:56:43.000 Steak and rice, you know.
00:56:44.000 Yeah, well, they just want you to be healthy, which makes sense.
00:56:49.000 It's so smart that they did that.
00:56:51.000 When they did that, I was like, what are they doing?
00:56:52.000 Dumping all this money in that?
00:56:53.000 Who's going to go there?
00:56:54.000 And then when I went there, I was like, oh, I get it.
00:56:56.000 They went all out.
00:56:57.000 They went all out.
00:56:58.000 And it's just, if you want your fighters to be at the very best to compete in the UFC, what better way than provide the best world class facility on earth?
00:57:06.000 Yeah.
00:57:07.000 And then to put it right there in Vegas.
00:57:08.000 And now they have a bunch of them, right?
00:57:09.000 They have one in Mexico.
00:57:11.000 They have one in, I think they have one in Singapore.
00:57:13.000 Yeah.
00:57:14.000 They have a bunch of them.
00:57:15.000 It's awesome.
00:57:16.000 So smart.
00:57:17.000 Such a smart move to do.
00:57:20.000 You know what would have been crazy?
00:57:21.000 If you were on the White House card.
00:57:22.000 If you got really.
00:57:24.000 Dude, that's going to be major, dude.
00:57:26.000 That's crazy.
00:57:26.000 It's going to be major.
00:57:28.000 I wish it was inside, but it is going to be crazy.
00:57:30.000 It's so funny watching people lose their mind over it.
00:57:34.000 You know, in all sorts of different ways.
00:57:36.000 Lose their mind over it because they hate the political situation in this country.
00:57:39.000 Lose their mind over it because they feel like it's a waste of money.
00:57:42.000 Why are they spending so much money?
00:57:43.000 This country's in debt.
00:57:45.000 We've got problems.
00:57:46.000 Why are we having a fight?
00:57:47.000 And then other people are like.
00:57:48.000 Fuck yeah.
00:57:50.000 You know, I mean, there's no more American thing than having a UFC fight on the White House lawn.
00:57:57.000 It's so American.
00:57:59.000 It's so Trump.
00:58:00.000 It's so crazy.
00:58:01.000 You know what I mean?
00:58:03.000 A UFC fight on the White House lawn is bananas.
00:58:06.000 Yeah, man.
00:58:06.000 Even the fight card is amazing as well.
00:58:09.000 Oh, the fight card's incredible.
00:58:11.000 The only thing that bothers me is that it's outside.
00:58:13.000 Yeah.
00:58:13.000 And that these guys are fighting for world titles.
00:58:15.000 I mean, Ilya Taporia might be, he's not just one of the best right now, he might be one of the best.
00:58:22.000 That ever did it.
00:58:24.000 It's very possible that he goes down in history as the all timer.
00:58:27.000 I mean, he's so good.
00:58:30.000 And for him to have to defend his title, the world title, outside with bugs and humidity and heat.
00:58:35.000 Yeah, you gotta take into account the weather.
00:58:39.000 You know, it's a whole different environment.
00:58:40.000 It could rain, it could thunderstorm.
00:58:42.000 Who fucking knows?
00:58:43.000 It's D.C., it's the East Coast in the middle of the summer.
00:58:47.000 I mean, it's crazy to have a fight outside in June in D.C.
00:58:52.000 Yeah, I've fought outside before.
00:58:54.000 It's definitely a different environment.
00:58:56.000 Vibe, different energy.
00:58:57.000 Where'd you fight outside?
00:58:59.000 I fought outside for Combate Americas.
00:59:04.000 It was somewhere in Arizona.
00:59:06.000 And it was a nighttime fight.
00:59:07.000 That's Camel McLaren's organization, right?
00:59:09.000 Love that dude.
00:59:09.000 Yeah.
00:59:10.000 I've also fought in the summer, in the daytime, and at a fair.
00:59:16.000 Oh, my God.
00:59:17.000 Yeah.
00:59:18.000 In California?
00:59:19.000 In California.
00:59:20.000 What was the temperature?
00:59:21.000 It was hot as hell, dude.
00:59:23.000 The mat was hot as hell.
00:59:25.000 It was like at a fair in the middle of the summer or something.
00:59:27.000 Oh, that sucks.
00:59:28.000 The mat's hot.
00:59:29.000 I didn't even think of that.
00:59:31.000 Yeah, dude.
00:59:32.000 Was it canvas or was it like mat?
00:59:34.000 I think it was mat.
00:59:35.000 Oh, Jesus.
00:59:36.000 Yeah, it wasn't so hot.
00:59:37.000 So, not just that, but it gets slippery as fuck, too, then.
00:59:39.000 Yeah, dude.
00:59:40.000 It was hot as hell, bro.
00:59:42.000 Did you ever see King of the Cage wet and wild?
00:59:46.000 You ever see that?
00:59:47.000 King of the Cage put on a fight in the middle of a rainstorm and just let people fight.
00:59:47.000 No.
00:59:53.000 Just like, I think they just said, look, you know, if you want to fight, you get paid.
00:59:58.000 This is it.
00:59:59.000 It's going to rain out and we're going to have to fight because it was outside.
01:00:02.000 So, this was back when California did not have MMA.
01:00:02.000 Yeah.
01:00:05.000 It was illegal, but it was legal on Indian reservations.
01:00:08.000 So we would go to these Indian reservations for King of the Cage.
01:00:11.000 So back when Eddie, I think Eddie was the commentator at that event.
01:00:14.000 I'm not sure.
01:00:15.000 But he was one of the main commentators at King of the Cage.
01:00:18.000 And my friend Bud, who's my neighbor back in California, actually sold him my old house.
01:00:24.000 Real good friend of mine.
01:00:26.000 He was one of the owners of King of the Cage.
01:00:29.000 And they were just putting on these events in fucking these Indian reservations when it was totally illegal in California.
01:00:36.000 So we would just drive to the Indian reservations and watch.
01:00:38.000 And one of them, It poured.
01:00:40.000 I mean, it was outside.
01:00:41.000 The whole thing was outside.
01:00:43.000 They just set up a cage outside and it's fucking pouring, dude.
01:00:46.000 And these guys are slipping all over the place and it's crazy.
01:00:50.000 They're fighting with wrestling shoes on.
01:00:52.000 And it was just, some of them did at least.
01:00:54.000 And it's fucking ridiculous.
01:00:55.000 Like, there's no way you should fight like this.
01:00:57.000 Yeah, my pro debut was forking the cage outside on Indian Reservation.
01:01:04.000 What year was this?
01:01:06.000 I want to say 20.
01:01:09.000 2017, maybe?
01:01:11.000 Oh, so they were still doing them outside even then.
01:01:13.000 Wow.
01:01:13.000 Yeah.
01:01:14.000 At a Ceboba casino.
01:01:15.000 Yeah.
01:01:17.000 That's where we went.
01:01:18.000 Yeah.
01:01:18.000 See if you can find the King of the Cage footage for Wet and Wild.
01:01:21.000 It was one of the craziest events I've ever seen in my life.
01:01:25.000 I'm just imagining you're basically fighting on ice.
01:01:27.000 You're slipping all over the place.
01:01:29.000 Everybody's sliding.
01:01:30.000 This is it.
01:01:31.000 Look, they're trying to mop down the cage in between the fights.
01:01:34.000 I mean, it's ridiculous.
01:01:35.000 Like, what are you going to do?
01:01:36.000 You're not going to dry it out.
01:01:37.000 I don't know why they were trying to do this, but they were trying to at least give them some sort of like.
01:01:44.000 Not sopping wet environment, dude.
01:01:47.000 That must have been so hard to fight on.
01:01:49.000 Oh, look at they're slipping.
01:01:50.000 Oh, they're slipping all over the place.
01:01:52.000 At least they had wrestling shoes on because I don't remember what year this was.
01:01:55.000 The ref with the ponchos is kind of funny.
01:01:57.000 I know it's crazy.
01:01:58.000 All the officials have ponchos.
01:01:59.000 I mean, it's fucking pouring right now.
01:02:01.000 I don't remember what year it was.
01:02:03.000 It's I think it said it right there 2001, I think.
01:02:07.000 Oh, okay, that makes sense.
01:02:08.000 So that I think that's illegal days.
01:02:10.000 I'm not 99% sure that's the illegal days.
01:02:12.000 Of course, it is because they're wearing shoes, but it was the whole event was just insane.
01:02:17.000 And imagine trying to get a submission on someone who's literally soaking wet.
01:02:22.000 Yeah, dude.
01:02:22.000 I mean, it's impossible.
01:02:24.000 It's so crazy.
01:02:26.000 But I mean, these people remember this forever.
01:02:30.000 This event, like, everybody was there.
01:02:32.000 Look at you see the rain.
01:02:33.000 It's pouring.
01:02:34.000 It's pouring.
01:02:35.000 But why are they bothering sweeping the water off?
01:02:38.000 You're not going to dry it out.
01:02:40.000 And look at his feet, man.
01:02:41.000 His feet are sliding all over the place with wrestling shoes on.
01:02:44.000 It's crazy.
01:02:46.000 In a situation like that, you're almost better off immediately going to the ground.
01:02:52.000 But even then, like, how are you going to even get a choke?
01:02:56.000 People are, everyone would slide out of everything.
01:02:58.000 It's like fighting someone who's oiled up.
01:03:02.000 Look at it, it's drying them off.
01:03:03.000 That's crazy.
01:03:05.000 Yeah.
01:03:07.000 Yeah, but the White House one, I just hope it doesn't rain.
01:03:11.000 I hope they figure out a way to kill the bugs, too.
01:03:14.000 I've been investigating online.
01:03:16.000 There's a bunch of different machines that they sell for outdoor events, and they kill every bug within a mile radius.
01:03:24.000 They set these things up, and all the bugs just go to it and get zapped.
01:03:27.000 And at the end of it, they dump it out.
01:03:28.000 There's like a fucking big bag of bugs.
01:03:31.000 So, if they set a bunch of those up around the perimeter, maybe they can at least minimize the amount of bugs that are out there.
01:03:38.000 Because you have in the D.C. area, you have a lot of gnats.
01:03:42.000 Imagine fighting and you got a gnat in your eye.
01:03:44.000 You're in the middle moving around, something goes in your mouth.
01:03:49.000 Yeah, is there a lot of them out there?
01:03:51.000 Oh, yeah.
01:03:52.000 It's moist.
01:03:52.000 Yeah.
01:03:53.000 That's the thing about D.C.
01:03:55.000 It's humid.
01:03:55.000 That's a humid environment, especially in the summer.
01:03:58.000 And Jamie and I checked, was it 100 degrees there?
01:04:01.000 Yeah.
01:04:02.000 Current, I mean, we're getting closer to the date, so the forecast is getting better.
01:04:05.000 It's currently set to be a high of 85, low of 69.
01:04:10.000 69 is nice, no rain, and well, isolated thunderstorms the two days before.
01:04:17.000 But that doesn't mean anything by the time it gets to June, yeah.
01:04:21.000 And what is it, June 11th?
01:04:22.000 What is it?
01:04:23.000 So it's on the 14th, 14th, 12th, and 13th both have isolated thunderstorms.
01:04:29.000 12th and 13th, and it's on the 14th.
01:04:31.000 Oh, and the one on Friday it says considerable cloudiness and fog after midnight.
01:04:35.000 I think the fight should be over by then.
01:04:37.000 Probably, but who knows?
01:04:38.000 Well, the fights are Sunday.
01:04:40.000 I'm just saying, like, that means at night it's getting.
01:04:40.000 Right.
01:04:42.000 Yeah.
01:04:43.000 Well, the thing is, if it's the low 69, that's nice.
01:04:47.000 So if it cools off by the time the main event starts or the last few fights, but the first few guys that get after it, they're going to probably be fighting in the daytime.
01:04:58.000 Yeah.
01:04:59.000 You know, you never know.
01:05:00.000 They might just spray some chemtrails and change the weather.
01:05:05.000 Yeah, they might.
01:05:05.000 You know?
01:05:06.000 You never know.
01:05:07.000 Oh, if anybody's going to do it, it's Trump.
01:05:09.000 Do you see the thing that he posted?
01:05:11.000 He's got like this whole drone army on the roof of the ballroom now.
01:05:17.000 So, you know, they built.
01:05:17.000 Oh, no, I didn't see that.
01:05:18.000 What's up, Jay?
01:05:19.000 They will.
01:05:19.000 I mean, it's not done yet.
01:05:20.000 Oh, it's not?
01:05:21.000 No.
01:05:22.000 Oh, well, he posted pictures of the AI?
01:05:24.000 Yeah.
01:05:25.000 Well, no, I mean, it's just a rendering.
01:05:26.000 Oh, that's all it is?
01:05:28.000 Oh.
01:05:29.000 How far along is the ballroom?
01:05:31.000 I think they're pretty far.
01:05:34.000 I'm going to show you the picture that they posted, but it's not.
01:05:39.000 It's like a rendering of what it will be.
01:05:40.000 Oh, that's fake?
01:05:41.000 Okay.
01:05:41.000 Yeah.
01:05:43.000 Why would you tell people what you're going to do?
01:05:45.000 Well, you're going to be able to see that.
01:05:47.000 They can't hide it.
01:05:48.000 That's not what I saw.
01:05:49.000 I saw one that looked like it was during the daytime.
01:05:52.000 Yeah, drones.
01:05:53.000 But obviously, that's what I saw.
01:05:55.000 That's the one I saw.
01:05:56.000 So that's what it's going to look like.
01:05:58.000 Yeah, drones are crazy, man.
01:05:59.000 Bro, drones with missiles and guns flying around on the top, all controlled by AI.
01:06:05.000 Yeah, that's crazy, boy.
01:06:07.000 What could go wrong?
01:06:09.000 War is a whole other thing these days.
01:06:12.000 Yeah.
01:06:13.000 Yeah, it's spooky.
01:06:15.000 You ever seen some of that footage from Ukraine?
01:06:17.000 Yeah.
01:06:19.000 Drones just flying around, bombing dudes?
01:06:22.000 Just bombing dudes.
01:06:23.000 Just dropping down on guys and exploding.
01:06:25.000 There's fucking hundreds of those videos now.
01:06:30.000 You get one of those Instagram algorithms where you watch a couple of them, and then next thing you know, they're getting recommended to you over and over and over again.
01:06:38.000 Yeah, dude, that's crazy.
01:06:39.000 It was two weeks ago at the bar.
01:06:42.000 You know, one day I'm talking about something with my buddy, next thing you know, it's all over my phone, my feed.
01:06:47.000 Yeah, it's crazy.
01:06:47.000 I know.
01:06:48.000 It's weird.
01:06:50.000 We're just accepting the fact that our phone's listening to us all the time.
01:06:54.000 Yeah.
01:06:54.000 You know what I got trapped in recently?
01:06:57.000 Algorithm of schizophrenic people.
01:07:01.000 What does that mean?
01:07:02.000 Dude, it's all crazy people that, like, one guy's like, Hi, I'm Joseph Wilson.
01:07:07.000 I am the legitimate president of the United States due to constitutional, you know, like crazy stuff.
01:07:14.000 Like crazy people.
01:07:15.000 This one lady, this one lady is crazy.
01:07:17.000 She's like, I forget what famous actor she was saying.
01:07:20.000 They're trying to kidnap me and put shit in my vagina.
01:07:23.000 And, like, she's just completely insane.
01:07:27.000 And every day it's like some new accusation.
01:07:29.000 Someone's after her.
01:07:30.000 Someone's tapping their phone.
01:07:32.000 Someone's communicating with her through her ceiling fan.
01:07:36.000 But I don't know how Instagram knows that these people are schizophrenic and keeps sending me schizophrenic people over and over and over again.
01:07:44.000 I know, right?
01:07:45.000 Well, if you're watching them, you're at things you want to keep watching.
01:07:48.000 I understand, but how does it know who's schizophrenic?
01:07:53.000 There's internal tags on every post.
01:07:55.000 Right, but isn't that nuts?
01:07:57.000 I don't know how it's schizo got in there.
01:08:00.000 Or whatever the word is it's using.
01:08:02.000 Yeah, I don't know what the word is, but it knows these people are fucked up.
01:08:05.000 So it's sending me.
01:08:06.000 All these crazy people, like completely insane people.
01:08:10.000 One lady who thinks everybody's a man, she thinks Rosa Parks secretly a man, everyone's secretly a man.
01:08:16.000 She's like pointing out like collarbones.
01:08:18.000 Look at them.
01:08:18.000 Look at this is a man.
01:08:20.000 Kim Kardashian's a man.
01:08:21.000 Everybody's a man.
01:08:22.000 It's fucking nuts, man.
01:08:24.000 And it's just schizophrenic people.
01:08:26.000 And I'm like, okay, so Instagram must know these people are schizophrenic.
01:08:30.000 Because they're all like, I'm telling you, it's like three out of 10 videos Instagram recommends me are people that are completely crazy.
01:08:38.000 So it must know these people are crazy.
01:08:40.000 And it's just sending them my way.
01:08:42.000 Yeah, dude.
01:08:44.000 Same for me, dude.
01:08:45.000 I was talking with my buddies.
01:08:47.000 I don't know, something about sardines or something.
01:08:49.000 Next thing you know, I'm like, look at my phone.
01:08:51.000 I'm like, dude, what the hell is all this shit about sardines?
01:08:54.000 I know.
01:08:55.000 It's crazy, bro.
01:08:55.000 Back to back.
01:08:56.000 It's creepy how the ads target you.
01:08:58.000 Yeah, which means it's crazy.
01:09:00.000 Brainwashing me into buying sardines.
01:09:02.000 Well, it's like, how much is it listening?
01:09:04.000 Did you see that post?
01:09:06.000 I'll send it to you, Jamie, that Kim.com posted about Palantir.
01:09:09.000 Yeah.
01:09:10.000 It's from February where they got hacked, apparently.
01:09:10.000 Did you see that?
01:09:12.000 Maybe.
01:09:13.000 Is that what it is?
01:09:14.000 Yeah, that's what it said.
01:09:15.000 We probably saw the same one.
01:09:16.000 Yeah, I'm sure.
01:09:18.000 It's very recently that I saw it.
01:09:21.000 I didn't check the date on it, though.
01:09:23.000 I could send it to you.
01:09:24.000 Yeah, I got it.
01:09:25.000 I think it's good.
01:09:31.000 Yeah.
01:09:32.000 It's from February 16th.
01:09:34.000 Yes, that's it.
01:09:35.000 That's the one.
01:09:36.000 It's not showing up right here, though.
01:09:38.000 Let me send it to you?
01:09:39.000 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:09:39.000 The thing I just had was like a Russian website.
01:09:41.000 I'm like, oh.
01:09:43.000 Kik.
01:09:43.000 Click this.
01:09:44.000 No problems.
01:09:46.000 Definitely.
01:09:47.000 That's another one.
01:09:48.000 Like Britney Griner.
01:09:49.000 That poor lady.
01:09:50.000 Oh, yeah.
01:09:51.000 She did nine months.
01:09:52.000 They wanted to put her away forever.
01:09:55.000 They were trying to exchange some Russian arms dealer or something like that.
01:09:55.000 Yeah.
01:10:00.000 Yeah, the merchant of death.
01:10:01.000 Guys responsible for thousands of people being dead.
01:10:04.000 So this is from Kim.com.
01:10:06.000 Palantir was allegedly hacked, rather.
01:10:09.000 An AI agent was used to gain super user access.
01:10:12.000 And here's what the hackers allegedly found Peter Thiel and Alice Karp.
01:10:16.000 Commit mass surveillance of world leaders and titans of industry on a mass scale, massive scale.
01:10:21.000 They have thousands of hours of transcribed and searchable conversations of Donald Trump, JD Vance, and Elon Musk.
01:10:28.000 They have backdoored the devices, cars, and jets of world leaders and accumulated the biggest archive of blackmail material.
01:10:35.000 Palantir is creating nuclear and bioweapon capabilities for Ukraine and is working closely with the CIA to defeat Russia.
01:10:42.000 They believe they are one year away.
01:10:46.000 Keeping Russia busy with meaningless peace negotiations.
01:10:49.000 Palantir is responsible for the majority of Palestinian deaths in Gaza.
01:10:55.000 They've developed the AI targeting for Israel.
01:10:57.000 Palantir is an arm of the CIA, and all data from international clients is copied into a C.
01:11:03.000 So, the problem is, this is like alleged.
01:11:06.000 Is there a community notes on this at all?
01:11:09.000 Really?
01:11:09.000 No.
01:11:10.000 Just Kurt Metzger.
01:11:13.000 He's the number one post.
01:11:15.000 When can we see these hacked materials, though?
01:11:17.000 What are the hackers doing with it?
01:11:18.000 If they aren't exposing the whole thing, then fuck them.
01:11:22.000 How is there no community notes on this?
01:11:24.000 He posts a lot of things that sometimes are true and sometimes are not true.
01:11:28.000 Yeah.
01:11:29.000 Do you know his background?
01:11:30.000 Do you know the story behind that guy?
01:11:33.000 Me or?
01:11:33.000 Yeah.
01:11:35.000 So his back.
01:11:37.000 I first found out about him a long time ago.
01:11:39.000 He's a very wealthy guy.
01:11:41.000 He lives in New Zealand and he ran a site.
01:11:46.000 Was it a.
01:11:47.000 It's like Super Upload or.
01:11:49.000 Yeah, like one of those uploads, Mega Upload.
01:11:51.000 Yeah, I think that's what it was.
01:11:52.000 Was that it?
01:11:53.000 And they targeted him because they said that people were uploading things that were copyrighted material and I think they were trying to.
01:12:02.000 They were trying to get him out of the country.
01:12:05.000 Extradited on, I think they still want him to come back.
01:12:08.000 Yeah, fraud charges related to, it's on the screen, to Mega Upload.
01:12:13.000 He denies wrongdoing.
01:12:15.000 Hughes, U.S. authorities are pursuing a vendetta against him on behalf of politically influential Hollywood studios.
01:12:21.000 2018 New Zealand Court of Appeal upheld the lower court's ruling.com appealed to the Supreme Court of New Zealand, which ruled in 2020 that.com could be extradited to the United States.
01:12:34.000 But that he could challenge the decision through judicial review.
01:12:37.000 His extradition order was eventually signed on August of 2024.
01:12:41.000 He's remained free in New Zealand while continuing to pursue judicial review of his extradition order.
01:12:49.000 He launched another cloud storage service called Mega, although he severed all ties with the service in 2015.
01:12:58.000 He also started and funded the Internet Party.
01:13:00.000 The party contested in the 2014 New Zealand general election under an electoral alliance with the MANA movement.
01:13:08.000 And he contested the 2017 general election independently but failed to win any seats at either election.
01:13:15.000 He was a famous guy in the early days of the internet.
01:13:19.000 Did you ever see those videos that he made, like these cartoons?
01:13:24.000 Yeah, I'm trying to remember some things that I remember.
01:13:26.000 I don't, yeah.
01:13:27.000 Yeah, there were like cartoons that he did where he was like killing dictators in the cartoons.
01:13:35.000 What did he call it?
01:13:38.000 Internet Party, Moment of Truth, Extradition.
01:13:41.000 See if you can find Kim.com early animated videos.
01:13:45.000 He's big on the Seth Rich conspiracy here.
01:13:47.000 He should be.
01:13:50.000 The Seth Rich one is wild.
01:13:53.000 The Seth Rich one is one of the ones where I just don't understand why anybody doesn't think that that's crazy.
01:13:59.000 This guy gets assassinated after he supposedly gave WikiLeaks all sorts of inside information on the Democratic Party about how they kept people out of the election, how they were running things, and then he winds up getting whacked.
01:14:14.000 And they're like, no, it was a robbery attempt at 3 in the morning.
01:14:18.000 They left his watch, they left his wallet, they left everything, his phone.
01:14:22.000 They just killed him.
01:14:25.000 See if you can find his videos.
01:14:26.000 He has some crazy videos.
01:14:28.000 I want to say these are from like the 90s, like late 90s or early 2000s.
01:14:34.000 He was, I don't even know what he was doing, but he was very wealthy.
01:14:39.000 He had this crazy house and his hot wife, and he would show videos of it and shit.
01:14:46.000 Persecuted because of that sight that he had, and he's fucked now.
01:14:51.000 They just keep going after him.
01:14:53.000 I don't know if he's right about this Palantir stuff, so I probably shouldn't have been saying it.
01:14:57.000 But you do know that, in worst case scenario, a gigantic corporation could have the power to surveil everyone all the time.
01:15:05.000 Everyone's online.
01:15:06.000 Yeah.
01:15:07.000 I mean, they can see you now with Wi Fi, they know where you are in a building at any given time with the Wi Fi in the building.
01:15:16.000 Oh, that's crazy, man.
01:15:17.000 Crazy.
01:15:17.000 They use Wi Fi and they can get a literal image of you walking around your house.
01:15:23.000 They know where you are at any given time because of the Wi Fi.
01:15:27.000 So if they tap into your Wi Fi, they know where you are.
01:15:29.000 There's boom.
01:15:32.000 There's a targeted strike in the bumper, right bedroom.
01:15:35.000 Send a drone after you.
01:15:37.000 It's crazy.
01:15:37.000 It's really nuts, man.
01:15:39.000 Because this is, this wasn't, here it is.
01:15:42.000 This is from like, this is old internet stuff.
01:15:45.000 This is a flash video.
01:15:47.000 90s flash video.
01:15:47.000 Yeah.
01:15:48.000 Yeah, this is it.
01:15:50.000 Give me some volume.
01:15:51.000 I'm surprised that even has sound.
01:15:54.000 It's gonna be very crude sound.
01:15:56.000 Yeah, this is what he did.
01:15:58.000 I remember this.
01:15:59.000 So, this was the 90s.
01:16:02.000 So, this is the same guy.
01:16:06.000 It's a very interesting guy.
01:16:12.000 He's getting in a boat.
01:16:13.000 Yeah, it's called Kimball Special Agent.
01:16:16.000 I mean, he's probably, this is, yeah, it was made in the 90s.
01:16:19.000 This is 30 years ago.
01:16:21.000 He's, you know, screwing around with internet graphics and.
01:16:26.000 He flies over, catches a helicopter.
01:16:29.000 He lands on the ground.
01:16:34.000 He's standing on top of Microsoft?
01:16:36.000 What is he doing?
01:16:40.000 Oh, there's Bill Gates.
01:16:43.000 Boy, people hated Bill Gates even back then.
01:16:51.000 That's crazy.
01:16:53.000 It's assassinating Bill Gates.
01:17:01.000 What the fuck?
01:17:04.000 It's so weird.
01:17:06.000 Oh, he didn't kill him.
01:17:07.000 Just wrote Linux around him.
01:17:09.000 So he got in trouble for these?
01:17:10.000 Nah.
01:17:11.000 No.
01:17:12.000 No, not really.
01:17:13.000 I mean, I think people just thought those were silly.
01:17:15.000 He got in trouble for that mega upload site.
01:17:18.000 So the way it used to work is do you remember Napster?
01:17:21.000 Yeah.
01:17:22.000 So Napster worked where you could take songs, you could upload them, and anybody could download these songs.
01:17:22.000 Right.
01:17:27.000 The way mega upload worked, and a lot of these upload sites.
01:17:31.000 Is you could take a film and you could turn it into a digital file and say you take like Avatar, turn it into a digital file and upload it.
01:17:40.000 And people could then download it and watch it on their home entertainment system through the internet.
01:17:46.000 Just download the file, plug an HDMI cord from a computer into the TV, and boom, you're watching movies.
01:17:53.000 Yeah.
01:17:54.000 And you don't have to pay anything.
01:17:55.000 And the thing was, it's like all this stuff was copyrighted material.
01:17:59.000 And I think his argument was like, yeah, but I'm not uploading it.
01:18:02.000 I'm just.
01:18:03.000 I'm hosting this service.
01:18:04.000 And they're like, well, this service is used to do illegal things.
01:18:08.000 So you're in trouble.
01:18:10.000 So it's like, I don't know what the argument is there.
01:18:12.000 I don't know who's right.
01:18:14.000 Do you understand it, Jamie?
01:18:15.000 Yeah, you explained it, but I mean, most people would go like copyright law, American copyright law only matters in America.
01:18:23.000 I don't know if that's the argument he was making, but.
01:18:25.000 That's true too, right?
01:18:26.000 Because he's in New Zealand.
01:18:27.000 And this site was hosted in Hong Kong.
01:18:31.000 Mm.
01:18:33.000 Yes, on January 20th, 2012, they seized more than $300 million of Hong Kong money.
01:18:38.000 It's $40 million in American money.
01:18:40.000 Damn, son.
01:18:42.000 He denied any wrongdoing.
01:18:45.000 I wonder how he's earning money now.
01:18:48.000 I wonder if they took all his money.
01:18:50.000 I mean, they did.
01:18:52.000 I just looked it up.
01:18:52.000 Mega is like a cloud service website now.
01:18:54.000 I don't know if he owns it or runs it.
01:18:57.000 He's tried to do cryptocurrency stuff.
01:18:58.000 I'm sure he was big into Bitcoin when it started.
01:19:01.000 He's probably doing okay.
01:19:04.000 Yeah, I don't know what the story is, but I'm kind of rooting for him.
01:19:08.000 He's a fun character online.
01:19:10.000 Oh, he's very fun online.
01:19:11.000 I don't know if he's right about the Palantir stuff, but forget about Palantir.
01:19:15.000 We know that what's happening now, in terms of you talking into your phone about sardines and then your phone showing you ads, they're definitely listening to something.
01:19:24.000 Grok said it's unverified.
01:19:26.000 As of February, oh, so this was Grok commenting on it.
01:19:29.000 Kim.com's claims about a Palantir hack and related allegations remain unverified.
01:19:35.000 Major outlets like Reuters.
01:19:37.000 BBC and New York Times show no coverage.
01:19:40.000 Palantir's site has no statements.
01:19:42.000 Some sources echo the post, but no independent evidence confirms it.
01:19:46.000 Right, but you got to think if you know a dude who's deeply connected into the hacker world, it's that guy, right?
01:19:54.000 Yeah.
01:19:55.000 I think he's the most public one.
01:19:57.000 Yeah, he'd be the guy that would know some shit.
01:20:01.000 I wouldn't be surprised.
01:20:03.000 If it's not Palantir, and I'm not accusing Palantir of anything, but there's got to be at least one point in time, there's going to be a corporation that has the power to do those things.
01:20:12.000 And that's what's going on with all this surveillance shit that people are missing.
01:20:17.000 I'm sure there already is, you know, they're already doing that, you know?
01:20:23.000 I mean, 100%.
01:20:23.000 Yeah.
01:20:25.000 If I was an evil person running some hackers, a corporation, I would do it.
01:20:31.000 Especially if I thought I was right and doing the right thing.
01:20:33.000 I can imagine, like, China probably has.
01:20:36.000 Of course.
01:20:37.000 Yeah.
01:20:38.000 100%.
01:20:39.000 Also, I forgot what I was reading that.
01:20:43.000 Someone got arrested.
01:20:44.000 I think some government official or something got arrested and admitted to being a spy.
01:20:51.000 Oh, yeah.
01:20:51.000 In China.
01:20:52.000 Well, yeah.
01:20:52.000 Well, there was a mayor in California.
01:20:54.000 In Arcadia, California.
01:20:54.000 Oh, yeah.
01:20:56.000 Yeah, yeah.
01:20:56.000 There was a spy for China.
01:20:57.000 She was the fucking mayor.
01:20:59.000 The mayor of a city.
01:20:59.000 Yeah.
01:21:01.000 Was working for China.
01:21:02.000 Yeah, and admitted it.
01:21:03.000 Yeah.
01:21:04.000 Oh, China's playing a long game.
01:21:04.000 It's crazy.
01:21:08.000 They infiltrate universities.
01:21:10.000 They give money to universities.
01:21:12.000 They fund programs.
01:21:14.000 They give money to research labs.
01:21:16.000 They sell cell phone towers at a discounted rate to the military, and these dumb motherfuckers put them around where their military bases are.
01:21:26.000 Yeah.
01:21:27.000 Yeah, I've had guys that are, you know, CIA guys on the podcast tell me about that, how dangerous it is that they've.
01:21:33.000 They bought farmland all around these military bases.
01:21:36.000 China has.
01:21:37.000 Yeah.
01:21:38.000 What's up?
01:21:39.000 Did you say something?
01:21:39.000 I thought you said something.
01:21:40.000 Yeah, that's crazy.
01:21:41.000 It's crazy that they are even allowed to do that.
01:21:44.000 Like, you imagine you're in conflict with another country and they buy land right next to your house.
01:21:49.000 You're like, hey, what are you doing?
01:21:52.000 Forget about your house, a fucking military base?
01:21:55.000 Anybody buying any land around a military base should be thoroughly vetted.
01:22:02.000 There should be different laws.
01:22:03.000 If you want to buy land around a military base, it should be like, no.
01:22:07.000 You know, background check for sure.
01:22:09.000 Not just background check.
01:22:10.000 Like, you should be an American citizen, A, and you should have, like, a legitimate, verifiable reason for owning this land.
01:22:16.000 Like, you're a farmer or you're going to put fucking windmills up there.
01:22:19.000 Whatever you're going to do, it should make sense.
01:22:21.000 It shouldn't be like all you have to do is have the money and you could buy land right next to a military base where they're doing who knows what.
01:22:30.000 Yeah.
01:22:30.000 And, you know, China has, like, some of the top, you know, some of the, like, you never know what they're wanting.
01:22:39.000 Oh, their technology is off the charts.
01:22:39.000 Yeah, the technology.
01:22:41.000 Their drone technology is beyond ours.
01:22:44.000 And they have like crazy drone displays where they have enormous dragons.
01:22:50.000 Oh, yeah, yeah.
01:22:51.000 Fly them over the sky like thousands and thousands of drones and they make a dancing dragon in the sky.
01:22:56.000 Like, whoa.
01:22:58.000 So they're all coordinated, but some sort of a computer program and they all work autonomously.
01:23:02.000 It's nuts, man.
01:23:04.000 Like, their cars are insane.
01:23:07.000 China's cars, they have electronic or electric cars that are beyond anything we have here in America.
01:23:13.000 And they can't sell them here.
01:23:15.000 Which I think is kind of crazy.
01:23:17.000 I think that's kind of fucked.
01:23:19.000 It's kind of, I mean, I guess we're in competition with China, but like, it should be survival of the fittest when it comes to cars.
01:23:26.000 Like, if you're making the best fucking cars and you happen to be in China, they should be over here.
01:23:31.000 Right.
01:23:32.000 You know?
01:23:32.000 Yeah.
01:23:33.000 I mean, it would suck if I was Ford and these Chinese cars were way better than anything that we're making here.
01:23:39.000 But everybody that I've talked to, and I've talked to some guys that work for major automobile organizations, and they went over to China and they're like, oh my God, we're fucked.
01:23:48.000 Like these cars are insane.
01:23:50.000 Yeah.
01:23:51.000 I mean, just Tesla alone.
01:23:51.000 Yeah.
01:23:53.000 I know it's not China, but I mean, cars are insane.
01:23:57.000 Yeah, they're pretty dope.
01:23:58.000 But they make them here and they make them in China too.
01:24:01.000 They were making a lot of them in China during the pandemic because the pandemic didn't really close things down in China the way it closed things down here.
01:24:10.000 But they have electric cars now that have like these insane suspensions.
01:24:15.000 They go zero to 60 in one and a half seconds.
01:24:18.000 They're nuts.
01:24:19.000 There's this dude that I follow online.
01:24:19.000 Yeah.
01:24:22.000 God, what's his name?
01:24:24.000 Forrest Auto Reviews?
01:24:26.000 I'm trying to remember, but he does these quick reviews, and somehow or another, he always gets these Chinese cars.
01:24:32.000 I'll find his name.
01:24:34.000 You know who he is?
01:24:35.000 No, but I don't think this is his channel, but I'm looking at the Xiaomi SU7.
01:24:39.000 I can find his video if you want me to.
01:24:42.000 Yeah, these cars are nuts, man.
01:24:44.000 Looks like a Tesla, but.
01:24:45.000 Oh, that's the dude.
01:24:46.000 Is it?
01:24:47.000 What is his channel?
01:24:47.000 Yeah.
01:24:48.000 This isn't his channel, I don't think.
01:24:51.000 Somebody else uploaded it?
01:24:52.000 Maybe.
01:24:52.000 I don't know.
01:24:54.000 Maybe.
01:24:55.000 Maybe somebody else uploaded it.
01:24:57.000 I think it's the same guy.
01:24:58.000 Let me find it.
01:24:59.000 I think it's Forrest Auto Review.
01:25:01.000 No, it's not him.
01:25:03.000 He's not that guy.
01:25:04.000 Hold on.
01:25:11.000 Yes, Forrest Jones.
01:25:13.000 That's it.
01:25:15.000 So he keeps finding, he keeps reviewing these.
01:25:19.000 Just scroll down for his videos.
01:25:22.000 Go to his video section.
01:25:24.000 If you search, you can just narrow it down more.
01:25:26.000 But it didn't really work one year ago.
01:25:30.000 Tesla minivan or China minivans.
01:25:35.000 They have some crazy shit.
01:25:36.000 Find a good one.
01:25:38.000 It's just an electric car, though.
01:25:38.000 I don't know if it's electric.
01:25:40.000 Yeah, this is it.
01:25:41.000 This is electric.
01:25:42.000 Look at these things.
01:25:43.000 They're nuts.
01:25:44.000 I have a display and a Huawei sound system with this gorgeous speaker.
01:25:47.000 I also get two wireless charging pads with a fan to keep them cool.
01:25:49.000 I have this gorgeous drive mode selector.
01:25:51.000 I have cup holders right in here and I have a dash cam that can do this.
01:25:57.000 Oh, that's crazy.
01:25:58.000 You also get selfies.
01:25:59.000 For the Blicky, a big one.
01:26:01.000 I have built in fragrances that slot in right here.
01:26:03.000 If I push this button, I have more storage space and I can do this.
01:26:08.000 If I push the button on the side of my seat, that'll fold down my armrest.
01:26:10.000 My seats are heated, ventilated, and massaging.
01:26:12.000 I have an area right down here for my phone.
01:26:14.000 I have built in sunscreen shades.
01:26:15.000 If I push this button, my cup holder comes out.
01:26:17.000 And I can do this.
01:26:21.000 This is $37,000.
01:26:23.000 And these cars are not available in the US?
01:26:27.000 No.
01:26:28.000 Is that one?
01:26:29.000 I don't know.
01:26:29.000 No, maybe I'm looking at the wrong video.
01:26:31.000 That sounds like it would cost more than $30.
01:26:33.000 It says luxury cars.
01:26:34.000 What car is that?
01:26:35.000 Does it say?
01:26:36.000 It doesn't say in the description.
01:26:38.000 No description has been added to this video.
01:26:40.000 See, go for the beginning.
01:26:41.000 See what it says.
01:26:43.000 Inside, I get a moon roof, pillows, and my headrest.
01:26:44.000 These heated, ventilated, and massaging seats.
01:26:46.000 I get a passenger screen, a main.
01:26:48.000 Yeah, so they're doing wild shit over in China with technology.
01:26:53.000 And they have full surveillance on their population.
01:26:57.000 You can't say shit over there.
01:26:59.000 Yeah, they have like facial recognition and everything.
01:27:01.000 Yeah, you can't step out of line at all.
01:27:01.000 That's crazy.
01:27:03.000 They'll make you turn you into a handbag.
01:27:07.000 It'll fuck around over there.
01:27:08.000 Yeah.
01:27:09.000 You know, they have, do you know that bodies exhibit?
01:27:13.000 Yeah.
01:27:13.000 Do you know what that is?
01:27:14.000 Dead bodies exhibit?
01:27:15.000 I think there's one in Vegas.
01:27:17.000 Exactly.
01:27:18.000 They get their bodies, most of them, from China.
01:27:22.000 And they're, yeah, they're called like Chinese, I think it's undeclared bodies.
01:27:30.000 So, if you die within a certain amount of time, if someone doesn't claim your body, unclaimed bodies, if someone doesn't claim your body within like 30 days, they just can turn you into a statue.
01:27:43.000 Wow.
01:27:44.000 But here's the problem with that.
01:27:45.000 In order to do this process where they turn you into a statue, it has to take place within 48 hours of your death.
01:27:53.000 So, there's no way they're waiting a month.
01:27:54.000 Yeah.
01:27:56.000 So, they have to start this process like pretty soon after you die.
01:28:00.000 And they have this process called plastination.
01:28:02.000 And they take the bodies and they basically strip all the fat from the body and they turn it into this plasticized statue of all your muscles and tendons and ligaments.
01:28:15.000 And so, you're out there like playing basketball and you could see like the rib cage and all the ligaments.
01:28:20.000 That was a dude that was probably.
01:28:22.000 Tweeting the wrong thing, or he worked for a company and he fucked up, or he was banging someone's wife, or he was doing something, and they turned this dude into a statue, and now he's at the Luxor in Vegas playing golf.
01:28:35.000 Yeah.
01:28:35.000 For real.
01:28:36.000 We looked into it.
01:28:38.000 There's not just me saying this, there's a bunch of stories online about these different bodies and how they've found ones with bullet holes in them.
01:28:47.000 They found one of them is crazy.
01:28:49.000 So, this lady was having an affair with a mayor.
01:28:54.000 In this town in China.
01:28:55.000 And she was an online or a television broadcaster.
01:29:00.000 She was like a news lady or something like that.
01:29:02.000 And she was having an affair with the mayor.
01:29:04.000 The wife finds out about it.
01:29:06.000 The lady goes missing.
01:29:07.000 She gets scrubbed from the internet.
01:29:09.000 Turns out the lady was pregnant.
01:29:10.000 She was eight months pregnant.
01:29:13.000 She goes missing.
01:29:14.000 Then all of a sudden, this pregnant lady appears at the bodies exhibit with the baby inside of her.
01:29:21.000 Same exact size, same features, everything as this lady.
01:29:27.000 The wife of the mayor, who she was having an affair with, the wife was the manager of the plastination factory where they turn everybody into statues.
01:29:36.000 Damn.
01:29:37.000 Damn.
01:29:38.000 And these bodies, there's no skin on them?
01:29:40.000 No skin.
01:29:41.000 It gets even crazier.
01:29:43.000 Years later, she gets arrested for killing another person.
01:29:46.000 She gets arrested for poisoning some English businessman.
01:29:50.000 And then it goes to trial.
01:29:53.000 Well, the person who stood trial for her, the person who stood, was not her.
01:29:57.000 There's pictures of the lady on the stand.
01:29:59.000 It's a different lady.
01:30:01.000 So she must have paid someone off to get convicted and go to jail, like paid their family off or something like that.
01:30:09.000 And she got free.
01:30:12.000 So this is all alleged, by the way.
01:30:14.000 Yeah.
01:30:14.000 All alleged.
01:30:15.000 But you could see the video or the body is still exhibited, the body of the pregnant lady.
01:30:22.000 So there's a pregnant lady, and you see a cross section of her stomach where she's like holding onto her stomach, and you see the fetus inside of her stomach.
01:30:30.000 So we're supposed to believe that this undiscovered body, this unclaimed body of a pregnant lady with an eight month old fetus inside of her body, that they find it, and then somehow or another they know it's cool, so you can just turn it into a statue.
01:30:46.000 But you have to do that within 48 hours of someone's death.
01:30:48.000 But no one claimed it.
01:30:49.000 Which takes a month.
01:30:51.000 None of it makes any sense.
01:30:52.000 The whole thing is nuts.
01:30:52.000 Yeah.
01:30:53.000 Some of them are people that, like, I'm going to die.
01:30:55.000 I want to donate my body to this exhibit.
01:30:57.000 Okay.
01:30:58.000 If you're crazy and that's what you want to do, that's cool.
01:31:00.000 But that's not all those people.
01:31:01.000 Some of those people are very sketchy circumstances.
01:31:04.000 See if you can find that image of the pregnant.
01:31:06.000 I wonder how often or how many times that happened.
01:31:10.000 Like, because wouldn't, like, the pregnant body, like, they never investigated it.
01:31:15.000 The family wanted to.
01:31:16.000 The family wanted to investigate it.
01:31:17.000 They were trying to do the weight test or something.
01:31:18.000 Exactly.
01:31:18.000 They were trying to do that, but they wouldn't let them do it.
01:31:21.000 These people obviously have immense power.
01:31:23.000 If she got someone, allegedly, got someone to stand in line with her.
01:31:25.000 And this is like in China, though?
01:31:26.000 Look at this.
01:31:27.000 It is in China.
01:31:28.000 So look at this.
01:31:29.000 This is the baby.
01:31:31.000 Pregnant woman and the fetus inside of her.
01:31:35.000 And so the family looked at the face and they're like, Jesus Christ.
01:31:40.000 Oh, someone stole the fetus?
01:31:43.000 Also, I was digging, there's another scandal that happened in 2024 with a bunch of corpses in China, too.
01:31:43.000 Oh.
01:31:49.000 Well, there's a video where this investigative reporter.
01:31:53.000 This investigative reporter visited one of these plastination factories, and there were bodies that were laying down.
01:32:01.000 There's a video of it.
01:32:02.000 You can watch the video.
01:32:03.000 These bodies are laying down.
01:32:04.000 They have sheets over their head, and they have their arms tied behind their back, and the sheets are bloody.
01:32:08.000 So it looks like they all got whacked, and they're all at this plant getting ready to be turned into a fucking statue.
01:32:16.000 It's creepy as shit, man.
01:32:18.000 This body was, they just stole the fetus.
01:32:22.000 Two women in LA stole it.
01:32:24.000 Two women?
01:32:25.000 This was 20 years ago.
01:32:26.000 They probably stuffed it inside of their belly.
01:32:27.000 Look here.
01:32:29.000 It's probably on my Instagram algorithm right now.
01:32:32.000 There's another scandal they had where over 4,000 bodies were in a corpse scheme, they said.
01:32:39.000 Oh my God.
01:32:39.000 Where they were being sold.
01:32:42.000 Families thought their family member was being cremated, was not.
01:32:46.000 They were being sold into.
01:32:48.000 I was trying to find out what they were using.
01:32:49.000 That's a lot of bodies.
01:32:50.000 Jesus Christ.
01:32:51.000 They were using them for bone grafting.
01:32:53.000 Oh.
01:32:54.000 So, uh, Allergenic bone graft products.
01:32:58.000 Oh, that's another thing.
01:32:58.000 One of these schizophrenic ladies was telling me, and that is true that a lot of these women are getting fat that's taken from cadavers.
01:33:07.000 So, they take fat from cadavers and then they inject that fat in their ass to give them a BBL.
01:33:14.000 Like, no bullshit.
01:33:15.000 And Whitney Cummings, I sent it to Whitney.
01:33:17.000 She's like, oh my God, it's literal dead ass.
01:33:21.000 That's such a funny line because that's what it is.
01:33:27.000 I mean, it's dead tissue.
01:33:29.000 You're taking a dead person's fat and they're stuffing it in their ass.
01:33:33.000 Cadaver fat transfer utilizing processed human donor fat.
01:33:39.000 Has become a major emerging alternative to traditional autologous fat transfers like traditional Brazilian butt lifts or BBLs and synthetic implants.
01:33:49.000 How does it work?
01:33:50.000 Instead of harvesting fat from your own body via liposuction, surgeons use donated human fat harvested via authorized tissue banks, allegedly.
01:34:00.000 The fat is rigorously screened, sterilized, and processed to remove all the donor's DNA, cells, and genetic material.
01:34:09.000 What remains is a structural clumpy butter.
01:34:14.000 So hot.
01:34:15.000 Clumpy butter ass is so hot.
01:34:19.000 Matrix of collagen, proteins, and growth factors.
01:34:22.000 When injected into the body, this matrix provides immediate volume and also acts as a biological scaffold that encourages your own natural tissue to integrate and grow into it.
01:34:35.000 Yeah, that's gross, bro.
01:34:38.000 Deadass.
01:34:40.000 Actual dead ass.
01:34:41.000 And women are doing this.
01:34:43.000 See if you can find a video of them doing it.
01:34:45.000 I was thinking, like, man, how'd your arm be filled?
01:34:49.000 They call it a sodomy filler.
01:34:51.000 Oh, it's so nasty.
01:34:53.000 That's so nasty.
01:34:54.000 How bad do you just do some squats, you lazy bitch?
01:34:57.000 Yeah.
01:34:58.000 But that's people like a real ass anyway.
01:35:01.000 The ass and the legs, it has to match, folks.
01:35:04.000 Yeah.
01:35:05.000 It has to match.
01:35:05.000 Can't fake it.
01:35:06.000 It's like, you ever see those dudes that they don't really have muscles, but they get oil injected into their arms?
01:35:11.000 Oh, shit.
01:35:12.000 It's just like, it's all weird.
01:35:13.000 Weird, like it's almost like a vegan dude.
01:35:17.000 I saw this Brazilian dude who had it on his biceps and his traps, giant traps, giant crazy shoulders, big tits, crazy.
01:35:24.000 And he's like flexing and doing all this stuff, but it looks weird because it's your body, it's like it doesn't fit, yeah, it doesn't fit your body.
01:35:31.000 That's the same thing when a girl gets a crazy fat ass and she's got these toothpick legs because she's lazy, yeah, like that doesn't fit your legs.
01:35:39.000 This is it looks like you're wearing a diaper.
01:35:40.000 This is crazy, don't do that, yeah, man, dude.
01:35:43.000 Come into the process, women go to the extreme.
01:35:46.000 I know.
01:35:47.000 Well, the thing is, I think if you do just a little bit, just a little bit of dead ass, maybe it's nice.
01:35:47.000 Yeah.
01:35:53.000 Yeah.
01:35:53.000 You know, I bet there's girls that have done it that you go to the right doctor, like this Beverly Hills dude, he's like, I got you.
01:36:00.000 You're just going to plump that sucker up just a little bit, just a little bit.
01:36:00.000 Just enough.
01:36:04.000 A little bit of dead ass.
01:36:04.000 Yeah.
01:36:06.000 A little bit of just a touch.
01:36:08.000 Just a touch of dead ass.
01:36:09.000 That's pretty gross.
01:36:10.000 Like for someone to put someone else's clumpy butter in.
01:36:17.000 It's fucking completely disgusting.
01:36:19.000 How did your body even react to that?
01:36:20.000 Or how to like.
01:36:21.000 Not well.
01:36:22.000 Yeah.
01:36:22.000 Not well.
01:36:23.000 And then to have all that.
01:36:24.000 Take out the DNA and all this other stuff.
01:36:27.000 What if they don't?
01:36:28.000 What if that's bullshit?
01:36:29.000 What if the DNA is in there?
01:36:30.000 What if you start getting weird memories?
01:36:33.000 Yeah.
01:36:33.000 You know?
01:36:34.000 Weird memories from ass tissue, like weird nightmares.
01:36:37.000 Photos here are rough.
01:36:38.000 Let's go.
01:36:39.000 Pull them up.
01:36:40.000 Right here.
01:36:42.000 Oh!
01:36:42.000 Elderly male, fresh cadaver, underwent a layered dissection of blah, blah, blah.
01:36:47.000 So they're taking fat from an elderly guy's face?
01:36:49.000 Actual dead body?
01:36:51.000 Whoa.
01:36:52.000 Does it matter where the fat comes from?
01:36:54.000 I guess not.
01:36:55.000 I guess it's just fat.
01:36:56.000 So, this is a dead guy, and they're peeling.
01:36:59.000 So, who sold his body to some fucking laboratory where they do this?
01:37:04.000 Have the clumpy butter in this.
01:37:04.000 Yeah.
01:37:06.000 Look at that in the upper right hand corner.
01:37:08.000 A whole crazy.
01:37:09.000 So, this is pre dead ass and post dead ass.
01:37:12.000 See, that's not bad.
01:37:13.000 It's not bad, but that lady could have done that with the gym.
01:37:18.000 That lady could have done that with.
01:37:19.000 She didn't go crazy there.
01:37:20.000 That's just a little dead ass.
01:37:23.000 Just a touch.
01:37:24.000 That probably looks good on the side if you turn it sideways.
01:37:27.000 Does there any photos where they show.
01:37:29.000 This video there says one shot costs 20 grand.
01:37:32.000 He looks like a demon.
01:37:32.000 Let's see that guy.
01:37:34.000 Well, these videos are.
01:37:35.000 That's not even a real shit.
01:37:37.000 That's an AI.
01:37:38.000 It falls down a weird path here.
01:37:41.000 Oh my God.
01:37:43.000 Yeah, I'm not showing those photos either.
01:37:45.000 It's disgusting.
01:37:46.000 So they're just sucking fat out of dead people.
01:37:52.000 I had one of my knees reconstructed with a cadaver graft on my ACLs.
01:37:57.000 They use an Achilles tendon because an Achilles tendon is thicker and stronger than the actual ACL, and they put it in my right knee.
01:38:08.000 It's never been a problem.
01:38:09.000 Holy.
01:38:09.000 Works great.
01:38:11.000 From your own body?
01:38:12.000 No, no, no, from a dead dude.
01:38:14.000 Oh, okay.
01:38:15.000 Oh, what's that?
01:38:16.000 That says gluteal augmentation, so that's butt, right?
01:38:21.000 It says fat grafting.
01:38:21.000 Right?
01:38:23.000 So that would be putting fat into the butt.
01:38:26.000 Oh, where's that scar?
01:38:29.000 Bro, that scar's gigantic.
01:38:32.000 It's got a fork holding it open.
01:38:32.000 You can have this.
01:38:35.000 Look how green everything looks in there.
01:38:38.000 Oh, that looks so nasty.
01:38:39.000 It looks like bad cheese.
01:38:40.000 That's disgusting.
01:38:42.000 That looks like.
01:38:43.000 You know when you go to see dry aged meat?
01:38:46.000 And you pass by those nice day camps.
01:38:49.000 They have the dry aged meat container.
01:38:52.000 So you're going to get your fat put in your ass or an implant, but then you have this massive scar.
01:38:57.000 I mean, these pictures are gnarly.
01:39:00.000 That is another head.
01:39:01.000 Look at the ear right there.
01:39:02.000 So that's where they're getting the fat.
01:39:04.000 How much fat do you have in your head?
01:39:06.000 Oh.
01:39:07.000 Well, that says temporal augmentation by intermediate fat pad filler injection.
01:39:13.000 So that's someone getting that done to their head?
01:39:17.000 Maybe it's like tightening up the skin.
01:39:20.000 Yeah, maybe, right?
01:39:20.000 Like a filler.
01:39:22.000 Oh, yeah, there you go.
01:39:22.000 Look.
01:39:23.000 It says here.
01:39:24.000 Oh, she looks good.
01:39:25.000 That actually looks good.
01:39:27.000 So, that's from her fat, fat grafting.
01:39:28.000 Sorry, I can't show these photos, guys.
01:39:30.000 You have to Google it here.
01:39:30.000 Sorry, folks.
01:39:32.000 Some of it's disgusting.
01:39:33.000 But if you look at people's face when they get older, that's one of the things that happens you lose collagen and fat in your face.
01:39:41.000 And that does make sense that putting it in would be better.
01:39:46.000 See, that looks like hell.
01:39:48.000 Both of them look like hell.
01:39:49.000 Don't do that.
01:39:50.000 Go to the gym.
01:39:51.000 This is a lazy bitch.
01:39:52.000 What is that one to the right of it, though?
01:39:55.000 That one to the right?
01:39:56.000 Yeah, like there.
01:39:59.000 So she got a little bit of a bubble butt from that.
01:40:01.000 But again, go to the gym.
01:40:03.000 Yeah.
01:40:04.000 Jesus Christ.
01:40:05.000 Yeah, look at the rest of the body.
01:40:06.000 Yeah, go to the gym.
01:40:07.000 This is crazy.
01:40:08.000 Questionable tattoo.
01:40:09.000 Yeah, questionable choices.
01:40:10.000 You get dead ass.
01:40:12.000 You get dead people's tissue pumped into your butt so that more people want to fuck you.
01:40:16.000 Like, hey, find Jesus.
01:40:19.000 Go find Jesus.
01:40:20.000 Okay?
01:40:22.000 If you are out there, I don't give a lot of advice, but this is my advice.
01:40:26.000 If you're out there and you're thinking about getting dead people's fat pumped into your ass, you probably need Jesus.
01:40:31.000 Yeah.
01:40:33.000 Yeah, I mean, BBLs are kind of going out of style, man.
01:40:38.000 Yeah.
01:40:39.000 I think people should.
01:40:39.000 Naturals are coming back.
01:40:40.000 They should.
01:40:41.000 Naturals are making a comeback.
01:40:42.000 Yeah.
01:40:43.000 Just work out.
01:40:45.000 Like, there's a lot of ladies that have flat butts that they put in the time, they put in the effort, and now you're like, damn, you can do that too.
01:40:52.000 Yeah.
01:40:52.000 Anybody can do it.
01:40:53.000 It's just the process.
01:40:55.000 Yeah.
01:40:55.000 People don't like that process.
01:40:56.000 They just want quick results.
01:40:57.000 Exactly.
01:40:58.000 They don't want to work for it.
01:40:59.000 They want Ozempic and then they want deadass.
01:41:02.000 They don't want to lose the weight.
01:41:03.000 It was like a nice combo they could put together.
01:41:05.000 Yeah, now they're saying.
01:41:05.000 And now.
01:41:06.000 Put it on and then put it back where you want it.
01:41:07.000 Yeah, Retruatide.
01:41:08.000 What is that called?
01:41:09.000 Retruatide.
01:41:10.000 Retruatide.
01:41:10.000 Retruatide and Deadass.
01:41:12.000 They should have like a one stop shop.
01:41:15.000 Yeah, now they're saying Ozempic eats up your bones.
01:41:18.000 Oh, yeah.
01:41:19.000 Oh, definitely.
01:41:20.000 So everybody's fucked because they've been taking it.
01:41:24.000 Well, it's not just that.
01:41:25.000 It also kills your desire.
01:41:27.000 This is what's weird.
01:41:28.000 Like, people are falling out of love when they get on Ozempic.
01:41:31.000 Like, they lose their desire.
01:41:33.000 Really?
01:41:34.000 Yeah.
01:41:35.000 People lose ambition, they lose desire.
01:41:38.000 They also lose addiction.
01:41:39.000 Like people that are addicted to cigarettes, people that are addicted to alcohol and gambling.
01:41:44.000 Apparently, Ozempic helps that because you're basically killing desire.
01:41:48.000 Like your desire to go and smoke a cigarette, your desire to have a drink gets killed by Ozempic.
01:41:54.000 Yeah, it also changes your whole face, right?
01:41:56.000 Oh, yeah.
01:41:57.000 Eats up all the fat in your face.
01:41:58.000 That's a problem.
01:41:59.000 Yeah.
01:41:59.000 Yeah, that's a problem.
01:42:00.000 Especially for ladies as they get older.
01:42:03.000 Like the more fat you have in your face, the better you look.
01:42:05.000 Like when your skin gets real thin and starts draping over your bones, like, you don't, that doesn't look healthy.
01:42:12.000 Yeah.
01:42:13.000 Looks like a problem.
01:42:14.000 You like to cut weight.
01:42:17.000 I know.
01:42:18.000 Yeah, it's fucked.
01:42:19.000 It's fucked that that's a part of our society now.
01:42:22.000 And it's just preying on people's lack of discipline and lack of understanding of the benefits of going through a process and achieving a result.
01:42:33.000 Because of all these ladies that wanted to do this, instead, if they just went to a gym, started eating healthy, they would feel better, they would think better, their body would look better, everything would be better, and they wouldn't have to get dead ass.
01:42:44.000 Yeah.
01:42:47.000 Yeah, it's just people being really self conscious, you know, about themselves.
01:42:51.000 Like, I know hot, hot ass chicks that I'm like, wait, you take Ozempic?
01:42:55.000 Like, why?
01:42:55.000 Why?
01:42:56.000 Oh, just like a little, you know, I'm like, you don't need it.
01:42:59.000 I think some women say there's a real benefit to taking a micro dose after a certain age.
01:43:04.000 I was watching a video, this lady is talking about how micro dosing these GLP 1s is actually beneficial for some women after a certain age because it helps reduce inflammation.
01:43:15.000 It does a bunch of different things to them.
01:43:17.000 But I don't know.
01:43:18.000 Do you gain the weight?
01:43:20.000 Like, say if, like, there's people that are just, oh, I'm just going to do it, like, really overweight people who obviously, like, have struggle with diet and working out.
01:43:32.000 When they get off, do they gain all the weight back, like everything else?
01:43:36.000 Most likely, if it's a psychological issue, the moment you get off of it, that psychological issue is going to return.
01:43:43.000 So that, like, shrinks your stomach or something, right?
01:43:45.000 Yeah.
01:43:46.000 Well, it does, but it's basically you're starving yourself.
01:43:48.000 Just like when you got out of jail, you barely could eat that double cheeseburger.
01:43:51.000 Yeah.
01:43:51.000 Right?
01:43:52.000 It's because your stomach shrank because you weren't eating much.
01:43:54.000 That's kind of the same thing that happens with Ozempic.
01:43:57.000 I mean, what happens to them when people say, oh my God, it makes you lose bone mass, it makes you lose muscle mass?
01:44:02.000 Right, but so does starving yourself.
01:44:04.000 That's one of the things that happens when people go on these crash diets.
01:44:08.000 They go, I'm just, I'm 30 pounds overweight, I'm just not going to eat.
01:44:11.000 Okay, well, your body's going to find food somewhere, so it's going to eat itself.
01:44:15.000 And yeah, your body will eat fat, but it's also going to eat muscle tissue.
01:44:18.000 It's also going to eat bone tissue.
01:44:20.000 Your body's going to consume itself to survive, which is crazy.
01:44:25.000 So, These things that you're getting, these side effects of like bone loss and muscle loss, that's what would happen if you just stopped eating, too.
01:44:33.000 It's your body doesn't have any nutrients.
01:44:34.000 Just like when you were in jail, you weren't getting any protein, you weren't growing any muscles.
01:44:39.000 Your body is not getting the nutrients that it needs.
01:44:42.000 So it's just shrinking.
01:44:44.000 So, retitrutide, is that how you say it?
01:44:46.000 I believe so.
01:44:47.000 So, the difference between this retitrutide, this one is a different one in that this one allows you to have all the weight loss.
01:44:56.000 But you don't lose the muscle loss.
01:44:58.000 It's not the same thing.
01:44:59.000 I want to show you a picture of what I look like, bro.
01:45:02.000 Oh, yeah, please do.
01:45:02.000 That was horrible.
01:45:04.000 You got my number.
01:45:05.000 Send it to me and I'll send it to Jamie.
01:45:06.000 All right.
01:45:08.000 It's shocking, bro.
01:45:09.000 Holy hell, bro.
01:45:11.000 If this Reddit True Tide, am I saying it right?
01:45:13.000 Reddit True Tide?
01:45:14.000 Reddit True Tide?
01:45:15.000 Whatever it is, this one they think is going to be incredible because this one is going to give you all the fat loss, but none of the muscle loss, none of the bone density loss.
01:45:25.000 And I wonder if it's going to be the same for like desire and whether it's going to fuck with addictions and all those other things too.
01:45:32.000 Because I was reading this thing where employers.
01:45:36.000 Are they getting upset at people taking GLP 1s because it changes their ambition?
01:45:43.000 I saw that too.
01:45:44.000 I've been trying to find that article ever since I saw it and I can't find it.
01:45:47.000 And it's not that it is, but it makes me wonder if it's like propaganda.
01:45:52.000 Propaganda against it from the people who are selling the good stuff now.
01:45:55.000 They don't want to get replaced.
01:45:58.000 It could put it into perplexity.
01:46:01.000 See what AI, our AI sponsor.
01:46:03.000 Are people working?
01:46:05.000 Yeah.
01:46:06.000 Habits changed?
01:46:09.000 Are there employers who are having a problem with their employees taking GLP 1s because it affects their work or ambition?
01:46:25.000 I think what they were saying was ambition.
01:46:27.000 It's making people less ambitious, which kind of makes sense because I think a lot of people, their ambition is probably an addiction.
01:46:37.000 Kicking ass and doing things.
01:46:39.000 Here it goes.
01:46:40.000 Yes, but the main employer issues with GLP 1s today are cost coverage and side effects impacting attendance and productivity.
01:46:48.000 Not a clearly documented widespread loss of work ambition.
01:46:51.000 It could be the same thing, kind of, probably.
01:46:53.000 Yeah, productivity, sure, if you're not as ambitious.
01:46:56.000 But attendance, unless you're injured, you're hurt.
01:46:59.000 No, it's fine.
01:47:00.000 You might just show up.
01:47:01.000 You might be like, I don't even feel like going.
01:47:02.000 Right, right.
01:47:04.000 So side effects and performance.
01:47:07.000 Common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, poof.
01:47:11.000 Plus, headaches and fatigue can result in comfort, increase absenteeism, and are tied to workplace performance issues if unmanaged.
01:47:19.000 Legal and HR complexity.
01:47:20.000 Employers must balance cost control with ADA, HIPAA, and non discrimination rules when deciding coverage and when asked about employee medication use.
01:47:31.000 Evidence of motivation and ambition.
01:47:33.000 There are anecdotal stories, media, and personal accounts of people feeling less driven or shifting life priorities on GLP 1s, but these are not yet backed by large workplace.
01:47:44.000 Specific study so employers are not treating lost ambition as a primary policy issue, but I bet they're thinking about it.
01:47:53.000 Yeah, I bet they're thinking about it.
01:47:55.000 I mean, it makes sense.
01:47:56.000 Did you find it?
01:47:57.000 I'm having to send it to me right now.
01:47:59.000 Okay, yeah, what you looked like right when you got out, yeah, yeah, yeah, it was crazy, dude.
01:48:08.000 I'm having someone send it to me though.
01:48:08.000 I can't find it right now.
01:48:10.000 Okay, no worries.
01:48:12.000 I'm kind of embarrassed to show you, but I gotta see this because if you see me now, I bet holy hell, bro.
01:48:18.000 Yeah, a good before and after is great.
01:48:21.000 Yeah, the people that are really brave are the ones that say, I'm gonna get in shape, so here's what I look like right now, and they post that on the internet like, Whoa, that's that's crazy.
01:48:31.000 Yeah, but that's also a good way to hold yourself accountable, you know?
01:48:36.000 Yeah, when a bunch of people to shit on you, fat shame like fat shaming works.
01:48:40.000 I know it's not nice, people don't like it, but when someone calls you a fat fuck, and you're like, Oh man, I am a fat, you start thinking and you go to work, yeah, you know.
01:48:50.000 Yeah.
01:48:50.000 A little bit of hard work, you know?
01:48:53.000 A little bit of hard work to get it, you know?
01:48:55.000 Well, listen, if there's a way where massively obese people that are dying can get healthy, and it's a GLP 1, I'm all for it.
01:49:03.000 But for everybody else, just get to work.
01:49:07.000 And you'll respect yourself so much better.
01:49:09.000 Like right now, you could look in the mirror and go, damn, I look so much better than I did when I got out of jail.
01:49:14.000 Because you could have stayed looking exactly that same way, right?
01:49:18.000 If you got discouraged when you were saying, I don't know if I'm going to be able to do this, I have no endurance, I don't know if it's ever going to come back.
01:49:25.000 A lot of people would have just quit right there.
01:49:27.000 And if you quit right there, you wouldn't be able to appreciate the results when you kept going.
01:49:27.000 Yeah.
01:49:31.000 And that's the case with everybody that's at a bad place right now.
01:49:36.000 Just go to work.
01:49:38.000 Go to work.
01:49:38.000 Write it down.
01:49:39.000 Go to work.
01:49:41.000 Put it together.
01:49:42.000 Yeah.
01:49:43.000 And yeah, man, I think it just makes you that much stronger.
01:49:49.000 And aside from the work, but internally, it makes you value yourself so much more in health.
01:49:57.000 Absolutely.
01:49:57.000 Absolutely.
01:49:58.000 It's also good for your brain and your brain's ability to do tough things.
01:50:03.000 If you get through something difficult, you realize, like, oh, I've been here, like, the next time some fucked up shit happens to you, like, I've been here before.
01:50:10.000 I know it sucks right now, but I'm going to just trust this process.
01:50:13.000 Exactly.
01:50:14.000 Keep on trucking.
01:50:15.000 So, right when I got back to work, I was like, man, I'm in the phase right now where it sucks, you know, like waking up sore as hell.
01:50:24.000 I remember the first time I did leg day, I couldn't even fucking walk.
01:50:29.000 Dude, did you have somebody walking you through it like how to do it correctly where you don't overdo it in the beginning?
01:50:35.000 Because, like, did you work with a trainer or anybody?
01:50:39.000 Um, yeah, yeah, uh, like over at the PI there.
01:50:44.000 So, when we first got started, we obviously didn't want to, like, because I was so eager to just get back in shape and it was tough, you know.
01:50:54.000 But that's like one of the things that, that, uh, like, while running, why I like, I like, I love to run and.
01:51:03.000 It's like one of those things where, like, a lot of people they reach to a point where they get tired and then they just stop, you know, they'll just quit, you know.
01:51:12.000 And, like, you got to push yourself more and more harder and more harder.
01:51:17.000 Next thing you know, you catch a second wind and, you know, you're jamming.
01:51:20.000 But when I first started, I swear, dude, like, I would, like, so when I first got out, my oldest son, he wrestles for high school.
01:51:31.000 And he was like, Oh, you want to wrestle?
01:51:33.000 You want to wrestle?
01:51:34.000 Because he's like, You know, he knew I was out of shape.
01:51:35.000 I'm like, Oh, man, he might.
01:51:38.000 You might get me, you know.
01:51:40.000 So, in my mind, I'm like, All right, I got one good takedown in me, and right, and and yeah, sure enough, um, we wrestled and then shot for that takedown, got the takedown, and got up.
01:51:52.000 And now I'm just like, Whoa, whoa, and like he just ragdolled me after that.
01:51:59.000 He just ragdolled me, man.
01:52:00.000 And then, uh, actually, a couple days ago, I got back from Vegas and and I hit him up.
01:52:06.000 I was like, What's up now, you know, like, what's up now, and and yeah, man, from that first.
01:52:12.000 That from that first workout to this one, you know, we made it through a whole workout, you know.
01:52:19.000 It's such a good feeling because I got really, like, really discouraged, bro.
01:52:24.000 I'm not even gonna lie.
01:52:26.000 And there were points where I was like, got real emotional.
01:52:28.000 I was like, dude, how am I this tired?
01:52:31.000 Like, this is crazy, you know.
01:52:32.000 And then I just always told myself, like, dude, you've made it through so much in your life that you could come back and you can bounce back for this.
01:52:41.000 So that's this whole, this whole.
01:52:43.000 Has been like to me, it's like a comeback, comeback, comeback story, you know?
01:52:47.000 Of course.
01:52:48.000 And it's just about trusting that process.
01:52:50.000 It's just so hard when you used to be at one point and now you're way, way, way below that.
01:52:56.000 And you got to build back up to get to where you used to be.
01:53:00.000 You know, but that's kind of a blessing.
01:53:04.000 There's a blessing in that because you realize, like, after it's over, it's like, wow, I did it.
01:53:09.000 I did it.
01:53:09.000 I pushed through all that bullshit.
01:53:11.000 I got my body back in shape again.
01:53:13.000 I'm back.
01:53:14.000 Like, when you get done with your camp, when you're peaking and on that last week, you're going to feel so good.
01:53:20.000 Yeah, man.
01:53:21.000 Honestly, I feel great now.
01:53:23.000 And, like, I feel like I've done such a great job and actually recovering more, doing like a lot more recovery stuff.
01:53:33.000 And I've been incorporated that so much.
01:53:36.000 And before I used to just go, go, go.
01:53:37.000 And, like, now I take the time to recover.
01:53:40.000 And I've been taking this stuff from Regenerate.
01:53:44.000 What is that?
01:53:46.000 Regenerate is like NAD or something like that.
01:53:50.000 Oh, okay.
01:53:51.000 Yeah, stuff like that.
01:53:53.000 So it's NMN?
01:53:54.000 So it's like a precursor to NAD?
01:53:56.000 Yeah.
01:53:57.000 Yeah.
01:53:57.000 The UFC provides it?
01:53:59.000 Yeah.
01:54:00.000 Okay, so that means it's third party tested.
01:54:03.000 Regenerate.
01:54:06.000 Hmm.
01:54:06.000 Does that.
01:54:09.000 Who makes that stuff?
01:54:10.000 Do you know?
01:54:12.000 I know that they're definitely UFC approved.
01:54:16.000 Approved.
01:54:17.000 And I think they might even sponsor.
01:54:19.000 Thorn is the main supplement company that the UFC uses, right?
01:54:24.000 Yeah.
01:54:24.000 Because they're all third party tested.
01:54:26.000 It's like.
01:54:27.000 Safe for sport.
01:54:30.000 Yeah, it's True Shield certified products for professional athletes.
01:54:37.000 And yeah, I started taking that like about two fights ago.
01:54:42.000 And yeah, I feel great.
01:54:44.000 I guess it's like NAD, like some kind of anti aging or something like that.
01:54:49.000 It basically lengthens your telomeres, and it sort of brings your body back.
01:54:49.000 Yeah.
01:54:57.000 To like a level of recovery that it had when it was younger, allegedly.
01:55:03.000 There's a lot of people that take IV NAD and they take NAD, and you can get it in the subcutaneous under the fat injections.
01:55:17.000 They do it that way too.
01:55:20.000 Yeah.
01:55:21.000 But I think some of the best ways is actually NMN, that stuff, because what it does is it's like a precursor, and your body just makes more NAD that way.
01:55:30.000 Yeah.
01:55:31.000 I take it.
01:55:32.000 Yeah.
01:55:32.000 Yeah, it works.
01:55:33.000 I take it before I go to bed every night.
01:55:35.000 And, you know, Andrew Huberman was telling me about it.
01:55:37.000 He was saying he noticed that when he really felt like it was working, one of the things that he noticed was that his fingernails were growing quicker.
01:55:44.000 And that's the same thing with me.
01:55:46.000 I texted him the other day.
01:55:47.000 I go, this is crazy.
01:55:48.000 Like, my fingernails grow way quicker than they used to.
01:55:51.000 And I think it's because of that.
01:55:53.000 I just noticed that, too.
01:55:53.000 That's crazy.
01:55:54.000 That's been going crazy, too.
01:55:56.000 Yeah.
01:55:57.000 I think it's your body's ability to regenerate.
01:56:00.000 You know, and heal.
01:56:02.000 And like for fighters, like there's nothing more important than your ability to recover from a hard workout so you can get to another one.
01:56:09.000 Yeah.
01:56:10.000 And I spent a lot of time like in a hyperbaric chamber.
01:56:14.000 And now there's this thing like this PMF?
01:56:19.000 PMF?
01:56:20.000 PMF?
01:56:21.000 Yeah, PMF or something like that.
01:56:22.000 Uh huh.
01:56:23.000 And it's like actual like a whole bed and just like just kicks up like just some like electric.
01:56:30.000 Like little pulses, and I'll be taking naps on that thing.
01:56:35.000 So, some of this stuff I don't even know what it does, and I was like, Oh, it's for recovery, I'll do it.
01:56:39.000 Hyperbaric works, and it works in the same way that NAD and NMN work in that it lengthens your telomeres.
01:56:46.000 Like, they did this study out of a university in Israel, I believe it was, where they put people on a protocol of for 90 days, they did 60, 90 minute sessions at a hyperbaric chamber, and they showed that their telomere increase was equal to a 20 year difference in biological age.
01:57:07.000 So it makes your cells younger because you're infusing them with energy.
01:57:11.000 You're infusing them with oxygen.
01:57:13.000 Every time I do it, when I do it for like a series of it, where I get like real consistent with it when I have the time, I always feel better.
01:57:19.000 I'm always like, Why don't I do this all the time?
01:57:21.000 Yeah.
01:57:22.000 Yeah.
01:57:22.000 I'm in there like four or five times a week.
01:57:25.000 That's huge.
01:57:26.000 That is one of the best things ever for your recovery, especially as you get older, you know, because it makes your body react like a young body does, you know?
01:57:34.000 Yeah.
01:57:34.000 So I'm over here racing against the clock, man.
01:57:38.000 So I'm like trying to do everything possible for my body just to recover from these hard ass workouts, you know?
01:57:45.000 How long was it after you got out before you started sparring again?
01:57:50.000 I recently just started sparring about three weeks ago.
01:57:53.000 So, you gave yourself a month and a half or something.
01:57:55.000 So, what I wanted to do was definitely get in shape, get in good enough shape.
01:58:02.000 So, like, if you go to extreme and you're out of shape, they're going to get killed.
01:58:05.000 Yeah, they're going to.
01:58:06.000 It's going to be very demoralizing.
01:58:08.000 Yeah.
01:58:09.000 So, I definitely wanted to get myself in good enough shape.
01:58:09.000 Yeah.
01:58:14.000 So, like, this whole time I've been doing a whole bunch of weightlifting stuff and technical stuff and a lot of SC stuff and all that.
01:58:23.000 Strength and conditioning, just getting your body back in condition again.
01:58:26.000 Yeah.
01:58:26.000 So, just.
01:58:28.000 Recently, I'm like, all right, I feel good enough to spar.
01:58:33.000 And yeah, I've had pretty hard sparring sessions.
01:58:38.000 Well, you were a guy that was known for your endurance before.
01:58:41.000 You're not a guy that fatigues and fights very much.
01:58:44.000 And you always push a good pace, too.
01:58:47.000 So for you to get back to where you used to be and have that same style, you have to be in shape first.
01:58:52.000 Yeah, yeah.
01:58:54.000 I feel like I've been getting ready just.
01:58:58.000 To start getting ready, you know, right, right, right.
01:59:00.000 Yeah, do you wish you had more time than August, or do you think it's a good enough time period?
01:59:05.000 I think it's a good enough time, especially like the way I feel now.
01:59:08.000 And you have two months to go, yeah, and I have like another eight, eight and a half weeks, eight, nine weeks, something like that.
01:59:13.000 That's nice.
01:59:14.000 Have you been to Serbia before?
01:59:16.000 Never been.
01:59:17.000 I've been watching videos of like the Serbian crowd, like in basketball, and yeah, it's wild, bro.
01:59:26.000 That is crazy.
01:59:28.000 So, in my mind, that's what I'm.
01:59:29.000 That's what I'm expecting.
01:59:30.000 I'm expecting like to be chanting and they might be.
01:59:33.000 Have they had a UFC in Serbia before?
01:59:35.000 It's the first one.
01:59:38.000 Whoa, we've played those Serbian basketball games a bunch of times.
01:59:42.000 Here we go.
01:59:42.000 Outside one is the outside one.
01:59:43.000 They got fires and shit.
01:59:47.000 What I don't hear anything.
01:59:48.000 I don't.
01:59:49.000 Yeah, so I had looked this up because I'm these people.
02:00:00.000 They treat it like war.
02:00:01.000 Yes.
02:00:02.000 Some of the audiences, they chant like a war is going on in the middle of a basketball game.
02:00:07.000 And, you know, all these Serbians that are coming over and dominating in American basketball, well, guess why?
02:00:13.000 Those are tough motherfuckers.
02:00:13.000 Yeah.
02:00:15.000 That's originally why I had looked this up a long time ago.
02:00:19.000 And was it Nikola Jokic?
02:00:22.000 Jokic, one of the top NBA players.
02:00:25.000 And I was like, when I found Fano Fanboy over, like, And I love basketball.
02:00:31.000 Basketball is like one of my favorite sports.
02:00:34.000 I always like to look into the background of the basketball player where he came from.
02:00:37.000 And I had already seen the Serbian basketball crowds.
02:00:40.000 I'm like, man, I'd be dope to go to a basketball game in Serbia, you know?
02:00:44.000 Yeah, I'd be careful what I ate and drank.
02:00:47.000 You know what I'm saying?
02:00:48.000 Yeah.
02:00:48.000 Going over there to fight their main dude in the main event.
02:00:52.000 Yeah, yeah.
02:00:54.000 That's crazy.
02:00:55.000 Just get him excited.
02:00:56.000 Yeah, in my mind, I'm like, dude, that's crazy, man.
02:00:59.000 It's like.
02:01:00.000 Especially as they've never had a.
02:01:02.000 Fight over there before?
02:01:03.000 Never had a UFC over there.
02:01:04.000 I'm not accusing the Serbians of doing it.
02:01:06.000 It might be a few unscrupulous gamblers, a few people.
02:01:10.000 Yeah, so.
02:01:11.000 Look at here we go.
02:01:11.000 Look at this.
02:01:13.000 This is a basketball game.
02:01:25.000 I mean, they got war drums.
02:01:27.000 They got war drums they're pounding.
02:01:37.000 Bro, this is Viking shit.
02:01:39.000 Yeah.
02:01:40.000 I love it.
02:01:40.000 So, this is what I'm expecting when I go to the basketball game.
02:01:42.000 I love it.
02:01:42.000 I love it.
02:01:43.000 I want to go see a basketball game.
02:01:44.000 Especially fighting their guy.
02:01:46.000 It's going to be nuts, man, for sure.
02:01:46.000 Oh, yeah.
02:01:48.000 But it's going to be exciting.
02:01:49.000 It's going to be so weird for you just to, when they shut that cage, like, oh, my God, I'm back.
02:01:54.000 I was in jail.
02:01:54.000 Yeah.
02:01:55.000 In Mexico.
02:01:56.000 I was in a different kind of cage.
02:01:58.000 Yeah.
02:01:59.000 Like a way less preferable cage.
02:02:00.000 Yeah.
02:02:01.000 Wild, man.
02:02:02.000 What a crazy fucking story.
02:02:05.000 Yeah, man.
02:02:05.000 You know what?
02:02:06.000 And I get to, you know, tell a whole, keep the story going, you know, make it even better.
02:02:14.000 Yeah.
02:02:15.000 Does it piss you off?
02:02:16.000 Because, like, you had so much momentum after beating Kevin Holland.
02:02:19.000 Like, that was a big victory for you.
02:02:21.000 Yeah.
02:02:22.000 It couldn't have happened at a worse time, man.
02:02:25.000 I know.
02:02:26.000 Because Kevin's a.
02:02:27.000 Tough guy and a tricky guy, and that was a welterweight fight, right?
02:02:31.000 Yeah, and fighting him at welterweight that's where he's at his best, you know.
02:02:35.000 Kevin at welterweight is really that's where he belongs.
02:02:38.000 Yeah, for you to beat him, that's huge.
02:02:40.000 Yeah, dude, and uh, he's such a tricky guy, too, man.
02:02:43.000 Yeah, it was an amazing fight, dude.
02:02:44.000 It was, I hadn't been, I think, I don't think I've had a fight like that in my career where so much going on.
02:02:52.000 I was almost, yeah, I dropped him in the second, you know, I was blew my gas tank.
02:02:58.000 Trying to finish him and then come the third round, he drops me and almost finishes me, and I bounce back and end up on top.
02:03:06.000 It's like, these are the fights that I train for, bro.
02:03:09.000 In my mind, that's what I'm training for, you know?
02:03:13.000 And it couldn't have worked out.
02:03:15.000 That fight was amazing.
02:03:18.000 That's my third time being scheduled to fight him.
02:03:21.000 And it finally happened, and it was an amazing fight.
02:03:24.000 It was everything I expected it to be.
02:03:25.000 And I expect this fight to be an absolute war as well, you know?
02:03:30.000 Dude's a.
02:03:32.000 You know, he's got a couple knockouts.
02:03:33.000 Come, you know, looks pretty good.
02:03:36.000 He's a very skillful guy.
02:03:37.000 Very skillful guy.
02:03:38.000 Euros Medic is no joke.
02:03:40.000 He's very good.
02:03:41.000 Yeah.
02:03:41.000 It's going to be a good fight.
02:03:42.000 It's perfect.
02:03:42.000 Yeah.
02:03:43.000 Yeah, I'm going to bring it.
02:03:45.000 For sure.
02:03:45.000 You know, I'm going to.
02:03:46.000 I'm bringing it.
02:03:46.000 You always do.
02:03:47.000 I'm prepared, yeah.
02:03:48.000 But for that, man, it's going to be so emotional for you.
02:03:52.000 Like having that moment, like to realize that you're fully all the way back.
02:03:58.000 Yeah.
02:04:00.000 I can't imagine.
02:04:01.000 What is the craziest shit you saw in jail in Mexico?
02:04:01.000 Yeah, man.
02:04:06.000 The craziest shit I saw in jail in Mexico, um, nothing really too crazy, man.
02:04:14.000 Really?
02:04:15.000 I would imagine Tijuana jail is pretty fucking crazy.
02:04:15.000 Yeah.
02:04:18.000 Was it because you were in sort of a protected area?
02:04:21.000 No, to be honest with you, the area I was in was kind of like, it was like the VIP section, bro.
02:04:27.000 It was like everybody was like there, like someone with money or like, you know, well, we paid to be there.
02:04:36.000 You know, I wasn't like, It wasn't like that protected.
02:04:39.000 It was kind of dangerous in a sense where, like, at night all the cell doors are open, you know, so it's kind of like a little dangerous on that.
02:04:50.000 A little sketchy.
02:04:51.000 Yeah, a little sketchy.
02:04:52.000 Nobody got killed or anything while you were there?
02:04:55.000 Not in my section.
02:04:56.000 But in other sections of the jail, people got killed?
02:04:58.000 Yeah.
02:05:01.000 How many?
02:05:03.000 Since the whole time I was there, like, I'd say like two or three, you know, but man, the craziest thing I saw in jail.
02:05:14.000 Probably some of this.
02:05:15.000 I bought an ounce of weed.
02:05:17.000 You bought an ounce of weed?
02:05:18.000 That was the last thing I would buy.
02:05:20.000 If I was in jail for weed, I bought an ounce of weed.
02:05:24.000 Were you worried about they're going to piss test you or anything?
02:05:26.000 Yeah.
02:05:27.000 No, no.
02:05:30.000 Well, the guards brought it in, so I figured, like, oh my God.
02:05:32.000 I'm not going to be in trouble for this if the guards are bringing it.
02:05:34.000 That's crazy.
02:05:35.000 The guards sold you weed.
02:05:37.000 That is wild.
02:05:38.000 How much is an ounce of weed in Mexico?
02:05:40.000 In jail?
02:05:41.000 About $300.
02:05:43.000 It's crazy, bro.
02:05:44.000 You could pay for girls to come in, bro.
02:05:48.000 Really?
02:05:48.000 Yeah.
02:05:50.000 They have, like, a menu.
02:05:52.000 Shut the fuck up.
02:05:53.000 Yeah.
02:05:54.000 And you can't get a steak?
02:05:57.000 I'd be like, keep the ladies.
02:05:58.000 Can you get me a ribeye?
02:05:59.000 Yeah.
02:06:00.000 Dude, we had a barbecue one time.
02:06:03.000 Yeah?
02:06:04.000 Yeah, we had a fucking.
02:06:08.000 We literally had like a barbecue.
02:06:10.000 It was like, well, not on a grill, but when I first got there, we had like these hot plates.
02:06:17.000 And the leader would always like do stuff for the whole tier.
02:06:22.000 You know, like he'll always like, oh, today we, you know, like every once in a while, I'd say like once or twice a week, maybe.
02:06:32.000 Nah, not once or twice a week.
02:06:33.000 I'd say like once or twice, maybe every couple weeks.
02:06:38.000 Like we'll get like pizza, like they'll order pizzas and shit.
02:06:41.000 Really?
02:06:42.000 Yeah, dude.
02:06:43.000 And for like, I think it was like $1,500, you could like order a chick, bro.
02:06:50.000 Like a thousand bucks for like $1,500, something like that.
02:06:54.000 And they'll put you in the conjugal rooms with some.
02:06:58.000 Random chick, and you could, you know, have your time with her for like three, four hours, something like that.
02:07:04.000 So, you could basically, if you have money and influence, you could kind of do anything in there.
02:07:08.000 Yeah, I mean, if you got money, you'll be okay.
02:07:11.000 I guess.
02:07:12.000 Yeah.
02:07:12.000 As okay as you're going to be in a Tijuana jail.
02:07:15.000 Yeah, but I mean, you're still locked in a cell.
02:07:17.000 I mean, we would only go, we'd only get two days of yard for one hour and a half, you know, an hour and a half, and the whole time I spent it running.
02:07:30.000 Trying to run.
02:07:30.000 Wow.
02:07:31.000 Trying to keep my cardio up.
02:07:33.000 It was crazy, dude, because I was like the only dude out there working out, you know.
02:07:39.000 And honestly, by the time I left, I had everybody working out, running, or doing some kind of.
02:07:47.000 It was crazy how I. Just me working out and doing my daily thing just affected other people, you know.
02:08:00.000 Sure.
02:08:00.000 Yeah.
02:08:02.000 I remember I would come out to.
02:08:06.000 On the tier, and I'll be like doing workouts with dudes right there, you know.
02:08:12.000 And like I said, there's a couple dudes in there that are some dogs, you know.
02:08:17.000 And yeah, hopefully, hopefully, if they do get out, you know, can they contact you if they get out?
02:08:24.000 Do you have your information?
02:08:25.000 Yeah, I'm still in contact with them.
02:08:29.000 That's cool.
02:08:30.000 Hopefully, you can get them set up, man.
02:08:32.000 Did you get the picture in?
02:08:33.000 Oh my god, yeah.
02:08:34.000 I'll send it to you right now.
02:08:35.000 Send it to me.
02:08:36.000 I'll send it to Jamie.
02:08:38.000 The world needs to see this.
02:08:40.000 Wow.
02:08:43.000 Is it crazy looking at it?
02:08:44.000 Yeah.
02:08:50.000 Did you send it?
02:08:52.000 Yeah.
02:08:52.000 Okay.
02:09:01.000 Waiting for it to come in here.
02:09:02.000 But yeah, man.
02:09:05.000 So, you said a few people got killed.
02:09:07.000 Did you know those people?
02:09:09.000 No.
02:09:10.000 No, I don't know.
02:09:11.000 Oh, God, this picture is crazy.
02:09:13.000 Yeah, when stuff like that happens, like, there's obviously, like, you hear, because, oh, you know what?
02:09:20.000 A lot of dudes were overdosing in there.
02:09:22.000 Really?
02:09:23.000 Yeah.
02:09:24.000 From fentanyl?
02:09:26.000 I think so, bro.
02:09:27.000 A lot of dudes were in there, like, doing heroin and stuff.
02:09:30.000 Yeah.
02:09:31.000 Yeah.
02:09:32.000 Yeah, that picture is crazy, though, huh?
02:09:34.000 It is crazy.
02:09:35.000 Yeah, and then, like, it's crazy, dude.
02:09:40.000 It's crazy how I bounced back from there.
02:09:42.000 Yeah, it is.
02:09:44.000 Wow, you look so thin.
02:09:46.000 Yeah, dude.
02:09:47.000 Just malnourishment at its finest, bro.
02:09:49.000 Oh, my God.
02:09:51.000 Yeah, you look like a dude who's just getting out of prison.
02:09:53.000 That's what you look like.
02:09:56.000 Yeah, so that's the first.
02:09:57.000 What do you got, a burrito there?
02:09:59.000 Some tacos.
02:10:01.000 So that's, like, right after I had the burger.
02:10:03.000 I only took, like, two bites of those tacos.
02:10:05.000 I was like, yo, I'm full.
02:10:06.000 I'm gonna imagine your stomach must have been super shrunk.
02:10:09.000 But yeah, you could see where you lost all your muscle mass.
02:10:12.000 Yeah.
02:10:14.000 So to bounce back from that and to be in decent shape right now.
02:10:22.000 How many guys died of overdose while you were there?
02:10:24.000 About three or four of them.
02:10:26.000 Damn.
02:10:27.000 So you could kind of get anything you want, really, in jail.
02:10:30.000 You get any kind of drug.
02:10:32.000 Could you get steroids?
02:10:35.000 I try to get protein.
02:10:35.000 I don't think so.
02:10:37.000 Protein powder?
02:10:38.000 Yeah.
02:10:39.000 Yeah, some protein powder, but it was never able to happen.
02:10:42.000 That's crazy.
02:10:43.000 They get you heroin, no problem.
02:10:45.000 Protein powder, it's kind of an issue.
02:10:45.000 Yeah.
02:10:47.000 Yeah.
02:10:48.000 That's ridiculous.
02:10:49.000 That's crazy.
02:10:50.000 Yeah.
02:10:51.000 I had turned myself into like a little gym, man.
02:10:53.000 I was like just trying to stay busy, man.
02:10:57.000 I always told myself, like, man, there's got to be some way that this is going to work out for me, you know?
02:11:06.000 And, you know, I ended up having to, you know, pay a nice amount of money.
02:11:14.000 You know, to be here today is a lot, bro.
02:11:18.000 I'm sure.
02:11:19.000 We'll talk about that later.
02:11:20.000 Listen, I'm glad you got out.
02:11:22.000 You know, I had only heard about it maybe a few months ago.
02:11:28.000 I'd heard about it like, I want to say three, four months ago because someone had asked where you were.
02:11:35.000 Like, you know, someone saying, you know who we haven't seen in a while is D Rod.
02:11:38.000 And then someone said, dude, I heard he's locked up in Tijuana.
02:11:41.000 And I was like, oh no.
02:11:44.000 Like, what a fucking hat.
02:11:45.000 Like, that could be it forever.
02:11:47.000 You hear someone's locked up in a Mexican jail, like, that could be it forever.
02:11:51.000 He'll never hear from you again.
02:11:53.000 Yeah, man.
02:11:56.000 I'm so happy to be out, dude.
02:11:58.000 I can only imagine.
02:12:00.000 I can only imagine.
02:12:01.000 I mean, listen, you don't appreciate the sunshine until you experience a lot of rain.
02:12:08.000 Unfortunately, that's how people operate.
02:12:10.000 You get real accustomed to things being great, and then you don't feel good about it anymore.
02:12:15.000 You need a little bit of that in your life sometimes, just a little bit of a wake up call.
02:12:20.000 To let you realize, like, you should be so happy and so thankful that you get to experience this life, especially the way you're experiencing it.
02:12:29.000 I mean, what a dream to go from being a guy who's in and out of jail, fucking up your whole life, to being a top 15 UFC welterweight contender in arguably one of the toughest divisions in the sport, if not the toughest.
02:12:42.000 I mean, the UFC welterweight division is fucking crazy.
02:12:45.000 Yeah.
02:12:45.000 You got Carlos Protez, you got Sean Brady, you got Morales, you know?
02:12:51.000 Yeah, dude.
02:12:52.000 And.
02:12:52.000 Before I got arrested, we were.
02:12:56.000 I was going to fight Protest.
02:12:58.000 I would have fought him in Brazil.
02:12:58.000 Wow.
02:13:00.000 Woo!
02:13:01.000 That would have been wild.
02:13:01.000 Yeah.
02:13:03.000 Yeah, dude.
02:13:04.000 And yeah, I mean, it's crazy to see how the division has changed.
02:13:11.000 Like, right now, the top five dudes are Ian Gary, Protest, Morales, Makachev's champion.
02:13:20.000 And it's completely different now from when I got arrested.
02:13:27.000 Did you see the JDM protest fight?
02:13:31.000 No, I wasn't able to see that one.
02:13:33.000 Bro, this looks so good.
02:13:36.000 He's so clever.
02:13:37.000 That's a tricky striker, man.
02:13:40.000 And he's so long, so long for the weight class.
02:13:43.000 It's almost like his arms belong to a dude who's seven feet tall.
02:13:47.000 You know what I mean?
02:13:47.000 Like his arms and legs are so long.
02:13:49.000 He's so slick.
02:13:50.000 Yeah, when I first got released, we were planning to fight Leon Edwards.
02:14:00.000 Yeah, but.
02:14:02.000 I think it would have been July 11th, and that would have been way too soon.
02:14:05.000 It would have been too soon.
02:14:07.000 You know, but I mean, the August fight's a couple weeks after that.
02:14:12.000 But, you know.
02:14:13.000 That's a big factor, though.
02:14:14.000 Those couple weeks when you're dealing with, like, your body recovering from what you've been through.
02:14:19.000 That's August sounds right.
02:14:22.000 July sounds early.
02:14:24.000 Yeah.
02:14:25.000 So, no, I'm going to be ready, bro.
02:14:25.000 Yeah.
02:14:27.000 I'm going to be in super good shape.
02:14:32.000 And I just trust all the work that's ahead of me, all the work that I have lined up.
02:14:37.000 And all the recovery, and just like I said, man, just appreciating everything, you know, my life, bro.
02:14:48.000 I've been out of jail before, and no one ever gave a fuck.
02:14:51.000 You know, like now I'm out and I have these amazing opportunities, and I'm sitting here talking to you, bro.
02:14:57.000 It's crazy.
02:14:58.000 And more importantly, you got a big fight coming up, so that's very exciting.
02:15:01.000 I'm very happy for you, brother.
02:15:03.000 Hell yeah, man.
02:15:05.000 I can't imagine what you went through.
02:15:07.000 I can't imagine what it felt like wondering if you're ever going to get out.
02:15:12.000 You know, and thank God you had the resources and you knew the right people and they figured out how to do it.
02:15:17.000 Thank God.
02:15:18.000 Turned you into a Mexican.
02:15:19.000 Yeah.
02:15:21.000 That dual citizenship, that's wild.
02:15:23.000 Yeah.
02:15:25.000 Well, I can't wait to hear all about it off air.
02:15:27.000 But congratulations on getting out.
02:15:28.000 I look forward to your fight.
02:15:29.000 I'm really pumped.
02:15:30.000 I'm really pumped for you.
02:15:31.000 I'm very happy.
02:15:32.000 Very happy you're out.
02:15:33.000 Yeah, man.
02:15:33.000 Biggest fight of my life coming up, man.
02:15:35.000 Just embracing all the work and just everything, bro.
02:15:39.000 Just everything.
02:15:40.000 I'm living the whole process.
02:15:42.000 Well, I can't wait to see the fight.
02:15:44.000 So, congratulations.
02:15:45.000 I know the people are rooting for you.
02:15:46.000 So, thank you for being here, man.
02:15:48.000 It was a lot of fun.
02:15:49.000 Hey, thanks for having me, bro.
02:15:50.000 My pleasure.
02:15:50.000 My pleasure.
02:15:51.000 All right.
02:15:52.000 Bye, everybody.
