00:04:31.320 And, you know, you could have a vision, but we tried to simplify it so much with the hardworking team that people, it resonated with people.

00:04:51.040 Now, that was a stunning, different message, if you will.
00:04:56.680 For one thing, you don't have the normal fear, trepidation that many do when confronting this agenda.
00:05:06.520 Because it seems always like, you know, well, you do anything there, the police are going to be against you.

00:05:14.040 You're going to just lose, and you better shut up and get in line.

00:05:26.020 So, originally, my parents are from Lebanon, and Lebanon went through civil war, invasions, and violence.
00:05:33.620 And so, you know, I was supposed to come, my dad was supposed to come to Canada in 71.
00:05:39.380 I was supposed to be born here along with all my siblings, my older siblings.
00:05:43.700 And my dad changed his mind, got a career, and said, you know what, his sibling came to Canada.
00:05:51.280 He changed his mind.
00:05:52.180 And sure enough, 75, civil war hits, social unrest.
00:05:57.220 I was born in 1980, and I saw a lot of violence in front of me.
00:06:03.360 I saw what war did to people.
00:06:05.840 I saw what sedition did to people, and just aggression and hate.
00:06:09.980 And I saw a lot of dead bodies, let's be honest, at five years old and six years old, and seven when my parents immigrated to Canada.
00:06:18.400 But, you know, and I saw, you know, buildings go down.
00:06:23.060 So, I guess the creator is the greatest of planners, as you know, and I'm sure you read that in the Bible all the time.
00:06:30.720 And he molds us into the person we don't know we're going to become.
00:06:35.220 So, I have no fear, but fear of the wrath of the creator, because, you know, there's nothing like a person who oppresses, right?
00:06:44.880 And so, for me, seeing that at a young age, where, you know, a bomb should have blew up, and we, you know, got by and we were very lucky, that showed me the worst case scenario type thing.
00:06:59.800 And I was kind of a little traumatized a bit, but grew up, you know, grew up in the South, saw peace in Canada, saw what Canada was made for, you know, was a proud Canadian, because that's what my dad foresaw.
00:07:15.840 Wow. And, you know what, that's a skill set that helped me in business, helped me in my political career.
00:07:24.620 I have my back end, obviously, because I didn't want to run for politics at all.
00:07:28.180 I just, I don't like the front end, because there's way too many of those just, you know, looking to serve themselves and not the people.
00:07:38.780 That taught me to be, you know, a maverick, I guess.
00:07:42.560 Let's unpack Ottawa for us, if you will, a little bit.
00:07:45.780 Some things were weird.
00:07:47.720 So, when we got there, there was already hundreds and hundreds of people.
00:07:51.440 As the hours went by, we were there over two hours early.
00:07:54.680 And as the hours went by, it increased and increased and increased.
00:08:00.120 And so, we had thousands.
00:08:02.000 They were literally, you know, up on the hill itself, outside the gate, front of the road.
00:08:07.440 Thousands, thousands, just lining the road there and the chants about being silent no more.
00:08:14.540 And, you know, it's about protecting the children.
00:08:18.200 But then something really weird happened.
00:08:21.500 At first, it was like 10 protesters across the road.
00:08:24.000 And I thought, well, well, they stayed small.
00:08:26.120 And then, all of a sudden, the police sort of led a whole contingent, about 350 or so, of screaming LGBT activists right in front of us.

00:08:44.020 And was that planned with police before?
00:08:45.920 Like, how did that work?

00:08:47.720 So, in all fairness to the police, they did a great job because it was above their heads.

00:09:00.160 I had many meetings with the parliamentary police and one in person as well to work out the schematics of what went on.
00:09:09.720 And I had meetings with the Ottawa police as well, John.
00:09:12.040 So, the original plan is to have the counter-protesters west of Parliament at the Supreme Court area.
00:09:20.620 And so, they had two locations.
00:09:22.400 So, they had that area and they had the Laurier area.
00:09:26.940 That's what I was told.
00:09:28.720 Laurier City Hall.
00:09:30.100 That's where they were supposed to be.
00:09:31.400 Now, as you noticed, our, you know, coalition government leader, Jagmeet Singh, came up with the protest.
00:09:42.560 And, of course, we have a coward for our prime minister, Justin Trudeau, who likes to provoke these things and kind of run away, right?
00:09:50.900 And, of course, I was told by many officers and by insiders that it was many levels above.
00:10:00.580 And so, I got the word.
00:10:03.320 And I said, look, I promise you that we're going to stay peaceful because these are parents.
00:10:10.060 But if one person gets hurt, that's going to be on all of you.
00:10:14.080 And I pretty much scolded all police because, obviously, we're living in the moment.
00:10:19.020 And then you see these guys, the plans changed.
00:10:23.500 They brought them up and they blocked off all of Wellington to Metcalfe.
00:10:27.860 And they were able to walk on the roads while us, the organizers, the people, the march was for us.
00:10:35.600 That day was for Canada's families and kids.
00:10:38.300 It had nothing to do with pride, right?
00:10:40.400 No offense to the pride community, okay?
00:10:43.080 If you were protesting, fine.
00:10:45.280 I mean, you can walk with everybody.

00:10:47.340 But carry the Canadian flag, one flag, right?
00:10:50.240 So, they changed that.
00:10:52.320 And I had prepared our staff.
00:10:54.260 I said, guys, be prepared to be versatile because it looks like there's going to be a lot of wrenches thrown.
00:10:59.840 That was the first wrench that was thrown.
00:11:02.500 And we were promised the East Block, the whole East Block.
00:11:07.940 I don't know if you noticed, John, when you got up there,
00:11:10.040 that East Block was split into three sections.
00:11:14.760 And we were supposed to get the corner of it.
00:11:17.840 So, that was the other change.
00:11:19.140 The plan was to bring the protesters, counter-protesters up there.
00:11:23.100 I'm like, no, you're not doing that.
00:11:24.560 Because already, we're having a hard time trying, obviously, to stay within a peaceful protest.
00:11:33.980 Now, you're getting people, angry people, that I heard there was Antifa in there and all that kind of stuff.
00:11:40.440 Violent people that want to go up there and mix in with families and their children.
00:11:45.340 Do you really want to do that?
00:11:46.340 And so, I had cops in tears.
00:11:49.620 We got a lot of respect with each other.
00:11:52.320 And one of the woman cops, she was actually crying because she agreed with me.
00:11:56.180 She just had to stay nonpartisan.
00:11:58.440 So, the police are on our side.
00:12:00.820 But I said to them, look, we've cooperated with you.
00:12:04.280 I gave you a lot of details to ensure that this is going to be a peaceful Canadian protest for Canada's kids and their families.
