The John-Henry Westen Show - Act now! Contact your representative to ensure election integrity on January 6

00:00:00.220 Welcome to this special episode of the John Henry Weston Show, where we're going to be

00:00:03.600 talking about what is going on on January 6th, that huge day which Trump has called

00:00:07.860 a massive rally for, which seems to be the last hope for the election of Donald Trump

00:00:12.760 for election integrity in America.

00:00:15.500 We're going to speak with lawyer and vice president of LifeSite News,

00:00:20.620 Guilberto Garcia-Jones.

00:00:21.940 Stay tuned.

00:00:30.000 Let's begin, as we always do, with the sign of the cross.

00:00:45.800 In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

00:00:49.420 Amen.

00:00:51.040 Guilberto, welcome to the program.

00:00:53.420 Thank you for having me.

00:00:54.260 We are talking about something that is really on most people's minds, especially

00:00:59.300 Americans who care about election integrity, especially Americans who are just flabbergasted 0.99

00:01:04.860 by what's been going on in the media, hiding the truth of this election, hiding what's been

00:01:09.780 going on, and really the millions of Americans who are going to be disenfranchised, that the

00:01:15.720 tens of millions of Americans who are going to be disenfranchised by what is going on.

00:01:20.100 So please tell us, what is January 6th?

00:01:23.060 Why is it so important?

00:01:24.380 Well, January 6th is pretty much the last day for the political process to come to grips

00:01:32.320 with what happened on November 3rd.

00:01:35.120 And what happens on January 6th is the Electoral College votes are officially counted and received

00:01:42.880 by the U.S. Congress.

00:01:45.060 And basically this whole operation, the whole procedure that's happening on the 6th is headed

00:01:53.400 up.

00:01:53.740 It's presided by the vice president, who is the head of the Senate.

00:01:57.420 And it's a joint session of Congress.

00:01:59.740 So you have both the House of Representatives and the Senate, and they will be officially

00:02:05.880 forwarding the recommendations of the states and the Electoral College votes, which is how

00:02:12.700 the American elections are decided.

00:02:15.440 And so the interesting thing about the 6th is that there is a process to contest the results

00:02:21.640 of the Electoral College.

00:02:22.600 And there have been now, I think, over 20 representatives and potentially a couple of U.S.

00:02:29.220 senators that have said that they intend to object to those results.

00:02:33.060 Right.

00:02:33.500 So one might think Senator Cruz, because there are many House reps who are going to contest

00:02:38.440 it that we know.

00:02:39.120 We've seen that in the news over and over again.

00:02:41.280 But Senator Cruz, has there been any word yet?

00:02:44.960 I haven't heard anything from Senator Cruz.

00:02:47.220 The one senator who has publicly stated that he is considering it is the newly elected senator

00:02:54.700 from Alabama, Senator Tuberville.

00:02:59.680 And so Senator-elect, because actually he's sworn in on January 3rd.

00:03:03.960 So it would be one of his first acts would be to defy the Senate Majority Leader, Mitch

00:03:09.060 McConnell, who's publicly stated that he doesn't want any shenanigans.

00:03:11.940 He doesn't want to contest the election at all.

00:03:14.620 And so this is really a showdown between the people who are upset at what happened on the

00:03:22.160 3rd and really the loyal Trump followers and Trump himself, who's still maintaining that

00:03:28.320 the election was fraudulent, and then the establishment.

00:03:32.540 Absolutely.

00:03:33.060 Now, anybody who's been following at LifeSite News, and I encourage people to do that because

00:03:37.120 just to see the amount of evidence of voter fraud that has gone on, that is right there,

00:03:44.580 caught on video, testified.

00:03:46.880 Hundreds of Americans have signed affidavits testifying to their witnessing of electoral

00:03:54.140 fraud.

00:03:54.700 And yet the media keeps trumpeting this nonsense about, oh, there's no evidence, no evidence.

00:03:59.120 Right.

00:03:59.560 And the real collusion, right, is not with Russia, but it's really big tech and what

00:04:06.280 they have done to throw their incredible technological prowess and the gatekeeper status that they've

00:04:13.340 earned behind discrediting the president, first of all, censoring any outlets that disagreed

00:04:21.380 with their narrative, like LifeSite News, and then even now threatening deplatforming if anybody

00:04:27.660 dares to question the election.

00:04:30.700 And so this is a very interesting thing.

00:04:32.940 I don't know if we'll be able to put this video on YouTube.

00:04:36.060 I hope that we can, but we'll have to think about that.

00:04:40.540 And really, this is a pivotal moment for the United States.

00:04:44.460 And no matter what happens, it's going to be a very difficult process to pull off because

00:04:49.180 just to give you an overview of what will actually happen on the 6th is they will start to count

00:04:54.960 these votes.

00:04:55.980 You have to have at least one congressman from the House and one congressman from the Senate

00:05:01.340 to object to it.

00:05:02.760 So you need one from each chamber.

00:05:04.560 And then the Congress would go into a joint session meeting a maximum of two hours, and

00:05:11.260 they would have to have a majority of both houses to vote to exclude the contested electoral

00:05:20.360 college votes.

00:05:21.720 And so that's very difficult because the House is still under the majority rule of the Democrats

00:05:27.240 and probably they won't break.

00:05:28.600 And then we know that in the Senate as well, it's very close.

00:05:31.180 And a lot of senators like Senator Mitt Romney, a prominent rhino, and probably a lot of other

00:05:37.340 ones, will not contest the election.

00:05:40.620 And so it's definitely an uphill battle, but at least it's a chance for these grievances

00:05:45.040 to be aired.

00:05:45.680 Because the big lie, I think, is that all of these concerns have been aired and discredited,

00:05:52.260 right?

00:05:52.600 Debunked, which is the popular word.

00:05:54.280 But that's not true.

00:05:55.460 What the courts have done in almost all of these cases is said they don't want to get involved.

00:05:59.480 And so what we're left with is a political machine on the left that had no problems pulling

00:06:06.480 every trick in the book, and then the courts that decided to simply abscond and not get

00:06:12.360 involved.

00:06:12.820 So really, the only challenge here is a political challenge.

00:06:16.240 Okay.

00:06:16.700 So hugely important now, because that way, with these votes, I understand that they'll be on

00:06:23.100 record as to where they voted, will they not?

00:06:26.020 Exactly.

00:06:26.820 And that's really what this is about.

00:06:28.060 This is about the next two years and the next four years, and really knowing who is

00:06:33.200 here to represent the people and who is in politics, who is an elected official that

00:06:39.680 really just wants to go along, to get along.

00:06:42.640 And I think one supremely important aspect of this is what we can do.

00:06:49.360 Americans need to act, and they need to act now.

00:06:52.200 Yes, it's Christmas time, and yes, normally we're laid back.

00:06:55.260 But at this point, for the sake of the future of American democracy, Americans need to act.

00:07:01.460 And there is a great way for them to do that, if you can explain it.

00:07:06.680 Yeah.

00:07:07.280 Well, LifeSite News has found another way to be of service to our readers.

00:07:11.860 And we have created a tool that where people are able to very quickly find their elected

00:07:19.080 representatives, just a click of a button, they enter their zip code, their address, and

00:07:23.340 immediately they'll get the ability to contact their legislators via Twitter, via email, and

00:07:31.420 even a phone call.

00:07:32.860 And so all of that information will populate, and you can reach out to your individual legislators

00:07:38.340 to tell them that you want to make sure that the American election integrity is preserved.

00:07:43.560 And so that's something that we have on the website.

00:07:45.960 You can find it on an article that we wrote on what's happening on the 6th.

00:07:51.380 We'll link to it in this video.

00:07:53.500 And it's very easy, and it's very important that these congressmen know that the people

00:07:58.160 want them to ensure election integrity.

00:08:00.640 And it's an amazing tool because it enables people, with the click of one button, they

00:08:05.420 go in and enter their message, and with one button, they get to all these different channels.

00:08:09.280 You're contacting your senator, your congressman on their own Twitter feed, on their Facebook

00:08:13.440 feed, and also directly, and if you so wish, the phone number's there for them to call as

00:08:17.600 well.

00:08:17.920 And I think we should probably stress that phone number, phoning them, is probably one of the

00:08:21.880 most powerful things people can do.

00:08:25.440 Right, because it takes up the time of their office.

00:08:27.720 It's, you know, politics is the art of getting reelected.

00:08:31.500 And so they know that if enough people want them to do something, and they don't do it,

00:08:35.940 and they side with the establishment, and it's politics as usual, that's going to hurt

00:08:39.760 them.

00:08:40.040 And so I think it's incredibly important for people to make their voices heard, and to

00:08:45.060 really stand in the way of this clear election interference by big tech, by the establishment.

00:08:52.760 And, you know, those testimonies, heart-wrenching testimonies of hundreds of people, those need

00:09:02.000 to be really analyzed, really listened to.

00:09:04.140 And the only way to do it is to go the political route, and to really, really demand from these

00:09:09.860 legislators that they stand up for their constituents.

00:09:14.280 So really, America, it's now up to you.

00:09:15.840 You have this opportunity to reach out right now to your senators, to your congressmen,

00:09:21.460 to let them know where you stand and what you expect of them on January 6th.

00:09:25.240 They've got to do it for the future of America, and you've got to let them know.

00:09:28.900 This will only work with you letting them know.

00:09:30.860 And don't take it just to let yourself do this.

00:09:34.440 Let all of your friends, let all of your family who are so inclined, do this as well with

00:09:39.020 you.

00:09:39.160 This is important for the future of American democracy.

00:09:42.740 And without, I mean, this is the same issue, the same kind of issue that Americans already

00:09:48.140 bled and died for.

00:09:49.720 So this is as serious as it gets in terms of your own personal responsibility right now.

00:09:54.960 So really, while we're in this season, it's, yes, it's a season of hope and of religious

00:10:02.340 thanksgiving and of obviously worshiping our Lord as he entered the world to assist us to

00:10:09.900 come to salvation.

00:10:11.180 But he also asks of us to take part in the cross.

00:10:15.240 And yes, it's a cross to do these things.

00:10:16.900 It might be a cross even to talk to your own friends and family to get them to also do these

00:10:20.760 things.

00:10:21.200 But we really need you.

00:10:22.700 America needs you right now to do this work for the country.

00:10:27.760 Absolutely.

00:10:28.160 And I would just add one thing, John Henry, that is that this isn't about partisan politics

00:10:34.180 at this point.

00:10:35.220 This is really about the people because the weight of the Republican Party doesn't want

00:10:40.360 to cause this type of kerfuffle, right?

00:10:42.740 They just they they've given up already.

00:10:44.620 And you can tell that from what Mitch McConnell is saying.

00:10:47.120 This is really about the people standing up for the election integrity.

00:10:51.560 And and that's not a partisan issue.

00:10:54.200 And so it's it's so incredibly important that we do make our voices heard.

00:10:59.340 This is the beginning of the ability to actually reclaim the democracy that I think was taken

00:11:04.660 away from us November 3rd.

00:11:06.660 Absolutely.

00:11:07.980 Absolutely.

00:11:08.620 Well, thank you so very much, Roberto, for coming on the show explaining this.

00:11:12.300 And really, one last appeal, folks, get out there and get on this.

00:11:22.480 story as well.
