00:02:03.200 I have never seen such controversy among very good people.

00:02:07.720 So, if you could, tell us a little about it first, about what it is, and how it came to be, and maybe your consultation process that brought it to fruition.

00:02:18.240 This document came because, in the last month and weeks, several bishops from around the world made public statements

00:02:34.420 justifying the use of vaccines produced by cell lines of aborted babies.

00:02:46.020 I only say, in a simpler manner.

00:02:49.560 But, and so, and they were justifying this because apparently, allegedly, there would not be other means.

00:03:02.080 And several explanations, even of theologians and church communities, were based on the moral theory of moral cooperation.

00:03:16.020 Or distant or remote.

00:03:18.020 And of two documents of the Holy See, from 2005, the Pontifical Academy for Life, and 2008, the Doctrine of Faith, where this issue was discussed.

00:03:33.680 And substantially, both documents allow to use such vaccines in an exceptional way.

00:03:43.820 We have to stress this, these documents say that not only you can just use this on the base of the so-called principle of moral material remote cooperation,

00:03:59.180 but it should be in an exceptional way, and at the same time, those who use should ask, demand, an alternative of vaccine, which do not use in any way such cells.

00:04:18.160 So, and this caused to me and to other of my confreres, bishops, some bishops, and faithful concern, because this is confusion,

00:04:33.160 and it is undermining, ultimately, if you want or not, it's undermining the fifth commandment of God,

00:04:45.160 and the absolute maximum determination of the church to oppose the evil of abortion.

00:04:57.160 And therefore, we consider this as not responsible to be silent, as not responsible to enter the great chorus group,

00:05:09.020 even of good theologians and good-minded people.

00:05:13.640 Because in our conscience, we have to follow the conscience, and our conscience say it is not possible, it is a damage.

00:05:33.580 And we explain, then after we can see the reasons, but as I already mentioned for this, and this is not a matter of quantity, of numbers, but of truth,

00:06:45.620 Catholics are compelled to take the vaccine, even if it's abortion tainted.

00:06:50.680 And they're basing themselves, yes, on these documents from 2005 and 2008,

00:06:54.820 but they don't even seem to be as concerned with the stipulations,

00:06:58.400 even those documents put into place that Catholics have to demand 0.96

00:07:01.520 vaccines that aren't abortion tainted and so on.

00:07:05.060 But your position goes beyond that of the 2005-2008 documents,

00:07:10.040 in that it suggests that Catholics cannot morally take such vaccines at all,

00:07:22.060 But I wanted to draw out, first of all, the severity of what this is,

00:07:27.000 and that, you know, with Catholics being now asked, as is the whole world,

00:07:31.900 to take this vaccine, very likely in a way that is mandated.

00:07:36.700 While they're saying it's going to be forced, they're saying it's going to be,

00:07:40.540 well, yes, if you want to travel, or if you want to go to the theater,

00:07:43.520 or if you want to perhaps even enter stores to purchase your food,

00:07:46.920 you're going to need to have the vaccine.

00:07:49.700 So can you speak for a moment to the severity of what we're facing,

00:07:55.260 and also your consideration of that severity when you made the statement?

00:07:59.620 Yes, we could see this, and we all will see this,

00:08:08.380 that with this vaccine, which used in a manner of these cell lines of aborted children,
