00:00:00.000 We're being told that this is the pastoral listening church, as long as you're, you know,
00:00:05.260 left-wing climate change activist or an immigration activist or a active sodomite.
00:00:12.960 Well, my friends, welcome to the John Henry Weston Show. We've got with us a young man
00:00:16.920 who worked for the Archdiocese of Detroit and was promptly fired after he went on social media
00:00:23.800 and on a show, in fact, and talked about the case of Carrie Prejean Buller.
00:00:30.220 Now, remember, Carrie Buller was on our show just the other day.
00:00:34.240 She gave that astounding defense of the Catholic position on Zionism at the Trump Religious Freedom Committee
00:00:42.700 and, sure enough, was removed from that.
00:00:47.140 Joe then somehow makes comment, again, from a Catholic perspective and gets removed.
00:00:51.920 Joe Anders, welcome to the program.
00:00:53.000 Thank you so much for having me, John Henry.
00:00:55.160 And again, I am very thankful to LifeSite team for helping make this story public,
00:01:01.440 letting people know, letting Catholics know what's going on right now with not only my family,
00:01:07.240 but just the church in general, where certain ideas are kind of stamped down because they're bad PR,
00:01:14.780 even though they are authentically Catholic.
00:01:16.720 Amen. Let's get into all that in a second.
00:01:18.800 Let's begin, as we always do, with the sign of the cross.
00:01:20.700 In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
00:01:25.520 Tell us, if you will, from the beginning, what exactly happened?
00:01:29.140 So, I took a week's vacation to spend some time with my friend Tim Gordon out in Mississippi.
00:01:36.880 You know, we, obviously, he does his show rules for retrogrades, and we were sitting around watching the Olympics.
00:01:43.120 You know, we were having fun watching curling, and curling's always just a great time.
00:01:48.280 I love watching curling on the Olympics.
00:01:50.760 And then we were looking at our phones, and we saw, you know, Carrie Prejean Bowler just lighting up the Religious Liberty Commission
00:01:59.760 and spitting facts, Catholic teaching, you know, things that we've said a lot in the past.
00:02:07.840 So, Tim's like, we gotta go do an episode on this.
00:02:11.180 And he's like, you're here, you can just sit right next to me, just jump on the rules for retrograde set,
00:02:15.640 and we're gonna defend what she's saying, because it's true.
00:02:20.080 And ultimately, our conclusion in the show was that you can't be a Catholic
00:02:26.180 and assent to the tenets of Zionism as defined by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance and the American Jewish Congress.
00:02:33.980 For a lot of people, they're gonna wonder, what in the world are you even talking about?
00:02:38.540 Go through the positions on both sides.
00:02:42.160 The one side of the aisle, I think, is a lot of these people.
00:02:45.420 We would, something Catholics would call heresy.
00:02:47.380 There's this belief, and I think that the sloganeering that the Zionism and Israel lobby have done
00:02:54.220 through the past few decades, I think, best sums it up.
00:02:58.080 The first one is that Jews have a right to a homeland.
00:03:02.080 A right. A right. That's a very specific term.
00:03:04.700 That means an entitlement.
00:03:06.200 They have a right to a homeland.
00:03:07.960 And number two, Israel has a right to exist.
00:03:10.820 And then the third proposition, and I think this is perhaps the most succinct of it all,
00:03:15.200 is anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism.
00:03:16.960 And this is what you would have heard on the Religious Liberty Commission.
00:03:19.840 They're saying that if you don't assent to both of those propositions,
00:03:23.440 that you are an anti-Semite, meaning you hate Jewish people.
00:03:28.020 I don't know about you, John Henry.
00:03:29.560 I don't hate any Jewish people.
00:03:31.060 In fact, I wish the greatest happiness and joy upon them that they could ever possibly endure.
00:03:35.940 I'm talking about true spiritual joy, as Thomas Aquinas would put it.
00:03:39.580 I want them to go to heaven.
00:03:40.960 I want them to be baptized.
00:03:42.340 And I want the Holy Spirit to reside in every Jewish person on earth.
00:03:45.480 Yeah, to become, as Mother Miriam herself, a former Jew, said, a completed Jew,
00:03:51.260 and to accept the Holy Roman Catholic faith.
00:03:54.580 It's interesting.
00:03:55.340 You know, she did tell me the greatest form of anti-Semitism is to keep Jesus from the Jews.
00:04:01.080 This is what we're called to believe as Catholics.
00:04:03.960 Now, if you were to accept the propositions of the slogans that they're telling you that you have to assent to,
00:04:09.720 you're kind of forced into a very specific position.
00:04:13.060 And that specific position that you're forced into is that, well, by somehow,
00:04:17.780 Jews, through their blood, have a right to the land of Israel.
00:04:21.880 And not just the land of Israel, but the land of Israel as outlined in the Bible.
00:04:26.720 Their, quote-unquote, ancestral homeland.
00:04:30.220 Now, we all know that's not just the Israel that we know today.
00:04:34.080 It's parts of Lebanon.
00:04:35.460 It's parts of Iraq.
00:04:36.820 It's parts of Syria and Jordan and all these other parts of the world.
00:04:40.940 Now, we as Catholics believe that existing nations do have some level of right to their own sovereignty right now.
00:04:46.680 We can't say that Israelis, because, you know, the Bible 3,000 years ago assented this land to these people.
00:04:53.440 We don't believe that that covenant is still in existence.
00:04:56.480 We believe that God granted them that covenant.
00:04:59.360 We believe that the church is the new Israel, that Jesus Christ fulfilled the old covenant on the cross.
00:05:04.940 When we think of Israel in the Old Testament, we see it as a foreshadowing of the Catholic Church.
00:05:11.060 When we think of the chosen people, the Jews, we look at the baptized today.
00:05:16.260 Baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
00:05:19.160 And the church has held this view forever.
00:05:22.360 We have always held this view.
00:05:24.220 So to say that we can assent to a blood right or a divine right by the Jewish people to the land of Israel, and I mean the prophesied ancestral homeland of the Jewish people, would simply be un-Catholic.
00:05:39.700 Which means that Zionism is un-Catholic.
00:05:42.440 And this, I think, is what got me in hot water with some unsavory people who targeted me and tried to get me fired from the Archdiocese of Detroit.
00:05:52.360 Your details on how you were let go, when you were let go, and what it means for your family, that's truly stunning.
00:06:00.520 We're going to come back to the issue in a second, but people have to realize the gravity of this situation given your own family life.
00:06:08.680 It's extraordinarily disappointing to feel like a orphan in your own diocese.
00:06:17.060 It's bad to feel like your parish is scared to have you.
00:06:22.800 Now, the events that followed up are very strange.
00:06:25.560 They're very muddy.
00:06:26.140 They're very confusing to me.
00:06:28.020 Because when, on Tuesday, Shrove Tuesday, actually, this is the craziest part of the story.
00:06:34.140 My firing was on Ash Wednesday of all days.
00:06:36.880 It felt like it was done with all due disrespect to me and inadvertently my family because, you know, I'm the leader of my family.
00:06:45.180 They disrespected everybody in that.
00:06:46.680 Now, what they did was on Shrove Tuesday, I get a call from my pastor at the church saying, why is the Archdiocese calling me?
00:06:53.180 They said someone sent screenshots to them of your Twitter.
00:06:58.160 And, you know, no elaboration on what these tweets are.
00:07:03.220 I was like, so what are the tweets?
00:07:04.540 What are the tweets?
00:07:06.000 And didn't get much of an answer.
00:07:07.540 There's no clear answer to these things.
00:07:08.880 I don't know what's going on here.
00:07:10.420 So they said, well, they're putting, I'm putting you on administrative leave until tomorrow.
00:07:14.960 I'm waiting for the Archdiocese to get back to me on next steps.
00:07:17.520 But it sounds like they want you terminated.
00:07:19.700 Then on Ash Wednesday, I finally get the call.
00:07:22.000 And they tell me, they're like, they're like, you are terminated.
00:07:27.360 If my pastor tells me they are terminating you, I am not the one doing it.
00:07:30.860 They are terminating you effective immediately.
00:07:33.420 And I was like, okay, so you're getting rid of me.
00:07:36.580 Is there, I have a baby due in two months.
00:07:39.940 My little daughter is due in two months in May.
00:07:44.020 I was like, so are we, is there anything you guys can do?
00:07:47.760 My health care is through you guys.
00:07:50.000 I have Archdiocese, I have an Archdiocese in health care plan.
00:07:53.080 And everybody knows that when you take a job at a church, you take a reduced salary.
00:07:57.760 It's just always how it goes.
00:07:59.080 It's always how it's worked with the church.
00:08:00.580 My health care, they graciously, they would pay for in full.
00:08:04.440 Well, this is, I'm losing that at the end of the month.
00:08:07.740 And I have two options now.
00:08:09.060 I have to either go on Medicaid, because this is the United States of America, which
00:08:13.300 is government, welfare, health care, or I have to pay that $1,700 a month premium to
00:08:20.300 cover my family for those months until my daughter's born.
00:08:25.320 And I have no income through this entire process.
00:08:27.860 So I was wondering, I was like, is there anything that they're going to do?
00:08:30.500 They're not going to give me any severance or nothing?
00:08:32.900 There's nothing they can do?
00:08:33.940 No.
00:08:34.520 And I was like, well, can you at least tell me why this is happening?
00:08:38.080 What have I done wrong?
00:08:39.700 Like, what is it?
00:08:41.020 And he says, the archdiocese has instructed me not to tell you.
00:08:43.880 And I'm like, what are you talking about?
00:08:46.140 You have to tell me what I did was wrong.
00:08:48.260 And apparently they don't, because Michigan's an at-will state, meaning that you can get
00:08:53.040 terminated for any reason that they see fit.
00:08:56.280 I'm no lawyer, but I haven't pursued any exploration into that just yet.
00:09:03.040 So we're going to have to figure it out.
00:09:05.100 But ultimately, they kicked me to the curb.
00:09:08.600 My pastor knew that I had a baby due.
00:09:10.620 I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't have told them that my wife is pregnant and
00:09:13.820 expecting.
00:09:14.400 And the archdiocese offered nothing, nothing to me.
00:09:18.340 You're a young man.
00:09:19.040 You've got a young wife.
00:09:19.880 You've got a baby who's what?
00:09:21.040 How old's your eldest right now?
00:09:22.900 Yeah, I have a 14-month-old son.
00:09:24.840 You know, he's just learning to walk right now.
00:09:26.900 And your second child due when?
00:09:28.560 May.
00:09:29.120 And no severance?
00:09:30.180 Nothing.
00:09:30.920 They offered me no severance.
00:09:32.400 And I know they do, with many people, all the time.
00:09:36.080 And they wanted nothing.
00:09:37.360 It's like they were punishing me.
00:09:38.860 I can't say that I know that I was fired because of Zionism.
00:09:43.160 All I can say is that it comes on the heels of the rules for retrograde stuff.
00:09:46.920 It comes on the heels of Carrie Prejean sharing so many of my commentaries talking about how
00:09:54.760 Catholics can't assent to the tenets of Zionism that they're claiming that we have to
00:09:58.540 assent to in order to avoid anti-Semitism.
00:10:00.800 And you were given these great hints by your priest who says, what's with these tweets?
00:10:04.740 Who's the current Archbishop of Detroit?
00:10:07.720 Edward Weisenberger.
00:10:08.960 I believe he came in in maybe March or April of 2025.
00:10:13.600 He has done things that I personally would not have done that I wouldn't personally agree
00:10:18.000 with.
00:10:18.400 But, you know, I tried to be obedient to him.
00:10:21.520 Isn't he the same Weisenberger that went after the traditional Latin mass in his diocese?
00:10:29.300 That one.
00:10:30.220 It certainly is.
00:10:31.420 Isn't he the same Weisenberger who fired Dr. Ralph Martin, Dr. Eduardo Echeverria, and
00:10:40.620 Dr. Ed Peters?
00:10:42.060 That would be the one.
00:10:43.040 An unbelievable hunt for the most Orthodox people.
00:10:47.480 Um, this was unbelievable.
00:10:50.900 Sacred Heart Major Seminary had these paragons of Catholic Orthodoxy.
00:10:58.380 And I purposely use the term Orthodoxy, not tradition, because they're not hardcore trad Latin mass
00:11:06.580 guys.
00:11:07.460 These are Ralph Martin.
00:11:09.600 He's, he's like a charismatic leader, except that he was always Orthodox.
00:11:14.320 So, you know, Dr. Ed Peters, I think he might skew toward the Latin mass, but, but they are
00:11:19.800 huge names in the Catholic church, all dismissed.
00:11:24.040 So this archbishop has a, uh, a definite animus, you might say, against very faithful Catholics.
00:11:33.860 So I guess in that sense, congratulations.
00:11:37.120 I'm particularly amazed that an employer could do this to a young family and think they're going
00:11:43.000 to get away with it, even in Michigan.
00:11:45.340 I mean, give me a break.
00:11:46.680 There are quite a few opportunities, I think, ahead.
00:11:50.420 I think I've communicated with some of your team about the opportunities that are lying
00:11:53.620 ahead.
00:11:54.540 Uh, and I also am co-founding with, um, I think a mutual friend of ours, Father Calvin Robinson,
00:12:02.120 a media organization for catechizing Gen Z with three specific main goals, protecting the
00:12:09.740 American family, protecting the West's heritage and catechizing Gen Z.
00:12:15.200 That's the third part.
00:12:16.300 And so our goal is going to be putting out content that uplifts these people that, that,
00:12:22.360 that speaks to them in a language that they understand.
00:12:25.400 These young people out here, there are some hungry young Catholics.
00:12:29.480 John Henry, I imagine you've seen so many of them yourself out there that are craving
00:12:33.660 the Catholic faith.
00:12:35.120 They are craving something that they can go to, to say, I am ready to take on the spiritual
00:12:41.680 warfare.
00:12:42.220 I'm ready to take on a world that is going to be hostile to me as a young pro-Western Catholic
00:12:50.060 man.
00:12:51.380 And I feel as though I have an inheritance that is this church and that my civilization is
00:12:57.140 trying to rob me of that inheritance in many, many different ways, whether it be through,
00:13:02.700 you know, the, whether it be through the excesses of feminism, contraception, abortion, pornography,
00:13:09.060 any of these issues, immigration, any of these issues that we've seen the church largely fail
00:13:15.320 fail these young men on, that ignore them, push them out, not be synodal, not be pastoral, not be listening to
00:13:24.620 of these people's gripes, of these people's plights, frankly.
00:13:30.400 And in some cases, like in my case, facilitating the plight on these young people.
00:13:35.740 Uh, we're not in the position that we need to be as a church.
00:13:39.480 And I find it ironic that we're being told that this is the pastoral listening church,
00:13:45.960 as long as you're, you know, left-wing climate change activist or an immigration activist or a
00:13:52.280 active sodomite.
00:13:53.780 It seems like in those instances, that, that seems to be the time that seems to be the best time
00:13:58.700 in order for them to sit down and listen.
00:14:00.900 But when it's about correcting, correcting their brother in Christ, and I've told, I've told them this,
00:14:06.220 if the USCCB, the nuncio to the United States, if my archbishop wants to sit down with me and said,
00:14:11.700 you committed a sin, you did something that's wrong, I'm here to guide you,
00:14:14.540 I want to show you that this is not the way to be, I would have been happy to sit down and have that conversation.
00:14:19.720 Unfortunately, they don't want to have that conversation.
00:14:22.340 They don't want to listen.
00:14:23.560 They don't want to hear me out.
00:14:24.900 They don't want to hear what my problems are.
00:14:26.720 And I feel like I'm a voice for Gen Z Catholics in that way.
00:14:29.880 I'm a Zillennial.
00:14:31.080 I bridge the gap between Millennials and Generation Z.
00:14:34.060 I was born in 1995.
00:14:35.560 I'm 31 years old.
00:14:36.760 I am trying to be a voice for them because they are sick of the church ignoring them,
00:14:40.880 doing nothing for them, letting them rot.
00:14:44.100 It cannot continue this way, John Henry.
00:14:46.160 It cannot continue.
00:14:48.520 Protecting your money doesn't have to be complicated.
00:14:51.280 With stocks, bonds, and crypto, it's easy to feel lost.
00:14:54.340 But gold and silver have been trusted for centuries
00:14:56.760 as a simple, stable store of value in uncertain times.
00:15:00.440 If you would have invested $35,000 in gold at the Millennium,
00:15:04.140 an amount you can give today tax-free to anyone you love,
00:15:07.420 it would have grown to be worth over $325,000.
00:15:11.100 Call our team at 610-326-2000
00:15:14.380 and let us step you through crafting a solution for your family.
00:15:17.820 You've done the right thing.
00:15:21.140 You've started a family early, beautiful,
00:15:23.600 and early only in terms of the world.
00:15:26.580 But, you know, you're well on your way.
00:15:28.980 You're obviously well-formed in your faith.
00:15:30.600 How did you get there, by the way?
00:15:31.860 It's just an off-side question.
00:15:33.220 Where in the world did you come up?
00:15:34.500 You have a very well-formed faith.
00:15:36.000 Where did you get that?
00:15:36.720 It's a mix of things.
00:15:38.280 You know, I was raised Catholic my whole life.
00:15:40.380 I am a cradle Catholic.
00:15:41.660 You know, in college, I had my libertarian phase
00:15:44.140 where it's like, ah, live and let live, you know,
00:15:46.220 when there's no problems going on.
00:15:48.160 Now we're here and we're like,
00:15:49.800 oh my gosh, we need to go to war.
00:15:51.880 Not literally, but spiritual war.
00:15:53.800 And, you know, my grandfather, you know,
00:15:55.700 he was a massive, massive believer in Fatima
00:16:00.120 and the period of peace that Our Lady promised
00:16:02.500 to the world with the consecration and union
00:16:06.520 with all of the world's bishops.
00:16:08.760 And I was just raised up in that.
00:16:11.100 I was raised watching EWTN cartoons
00:16:13.060 with, you know, the ones of St. Patrick,
00:16:15.120 St. Francis of Assisi,
00:16:16.880 and all of these things.
00:16:18.740 When the Catholic movie came out,
00:16:19.860 when Therese came out,
00:16:20.780 we had to go see the St. Therese movie.
00:16:23.500 So I just grew up in that type of culture.
00:16:26.060 My grandmother was an immigrant from Scotland
00:16:28.640 to the United States of America in the 1960s.
00:16:32.080 And she had a strong faith
00:16:33.520 because she was persecuted as a Catholic there
00:16:35.540 because the Protestants did not like
00:16:37.040 that there were Catholics around them.
00:16:38.380 It's just a cultural Catholic faith
00:16:40.060 that was fostered by my grandfather,
00:16:41.900 my grandparents continued by my father,
00:16:45.280 who was a strong Catholic as well.
00:16:47.440 And later on, I go to college at the King's College.
00:16:51.960 I was a turning point activist throughout college.
00:16:54.760 I got a letter of recommendation
00:16:56.180 from Charlie Kirk himself
00:16:57.460 to attend the King's College.
00:16:59.920 And yeah, he was a great man
00:17:02.640 and in some ways a mentor to me.
00:17:04.540 I really miss him.
00:17:05.820 Besides that, I went there
00:17:07.720 and I decided to do politics, economics,
00:17:10.460 and philosophy as my major in college.
00:17:12.700 And so just lo and behold, unbeknownst to me,
00:17:15.980 one of the adjunct professors there
00:17:17.620 was Dr. Peter Kreeft.
00:17:19.260 So I actually learned Augustinian
00:17:21.980 and modern philosophy from him there.
00:17:24.100 I took enough theology courses.
00:17:25.700 I'm three credits short of a minor in theology.
00:17:27.860 And I then worked at Church Militant,
00:17:32.100 believe it or not.
00:17:32.780 I was working there as a producer-reporter
00:17:34.360 for a couple years.
00:17:35.620 And then for the past,
00:17:37.560 the other two years that I worked there,
00:17:39.360 I was a senior producer.
00:17:41.420 So I handled a lot of Catholic content,
00:17:44.760 worked with a lot of great Catholic minds,
00:17:46.440 and it just really helped fine-tune
00:17:48.800 my understanding of the faith
00:17:50.660 and even some of the crisis in the church.
00:17:53.420 If I were to ask you,
00:17:54.520 what are the top three biggest concerns
00:17:57.260 for young Catholic men today?
00:17:59.940 What would you say?
00:18:00.740 Number one, I think,
00:18:02.920 is they feel like they're not welcome.
00:18:07.040 They feel like the church has embraced
00:18:10.860 a hermeneutic of suspicion
00:18:14.060 about dealing with them and their problems.
00:18:17.400 Sodomy, you know, pornography addiction,
00:18:21.320 abortion, contraception.
00:18:22.860 These are just considered, you know,
00:18:25.280 normative excesses
00:18:27.000 that the church is willing to converse about,
00:18:30.740 deal with.
00:18:31.220 Even Protestant heresy
00:18:32.360 are things that need to be dealt with
00:18:35.000 with kid gloves.
00:18:36.500 But let's say there are some young kids out there
00:18:39.380 that are over-exuberant.
00:18:41.300 Let's say there's kids out there
00:18:42.780 that share, you know,
00:18:44.360 uncouth memes with bad opinions,
00:18:47.160 you know, on any,
00:18:49.260 name your controversial issue,
00:18:51.020 any of the isms that they say,
00:18:52.600 homophobia or whatever isms
00:18:54.660 that they can come up with.
00:18:56.440 Those issues,
00:18:58.020 they are shut out
00:18:59.900 for those opinions.
00:19:02.660 Even uncouth opinions on immigration,
00:19:04.520 they are shunned.
00:19:05.600 There is a shun culture.
00:19:06.880 They need to be listened to.
00:19:08.020 They need to be pastoralized.
00:19:10.240 They also need churches
00:19:11.360 to stop focusing on migrants.
00:19:15.360 Everything is about helping migrants,
00:19:17.440 resettling migrants,
00:19:18.380 making sure that they're doing okay
00:19:19.740 in the United States.
00:19:21.100 These people are craving marriage.
00:19:24.020 These people are craving starting a family.
00:19:27.080 They want to live in a home.
00:19:28.740 They want to live the American dream.
00:19:31.080 They want to live in a white picket fence,
00:19:33.040 single family home,
00:19:34.060 and they are completely unaffordable.
00:19:35.920 And the churches have offered
00:19:36.920 no sympathy,
00:19:39.020 no solutions,
00:19:41.120 nothing.
00:19:41.860 They are happy to give
00:19:43.180 all of this money
00:19:44.380 away to migrant resettlement programs,
00:19:47.360 but they're not doing it
00:19:48.620 for young Catholic American
00:19:51.180 resettlement into their own homes.
00:19:53.780 I would have to say
00:19:54.760 the third thing
00:19:55.500 is they're craving
00:19:57.360 the mysticism of the faith,
00:19:58.900 the magic,
00:19:59.840 the beauty,
00:20:00.640 the love,
00:20:01.800 the centrality of Christ
00:20:05.020 in the mass.
00:20:07.720 And this is why you see
00:20:09.560 all these young people
00:20:10.680 flocking to traditional
00:20:11.740 Latin mass parishes,
00:20:13.080 and even some reverent
00:20:14.160 Novus Ordo parishes as well.
00:20:15.740 You see them flocking to that
00:20:17.580 because they crave
00:20:18.680 that Christ-centered liturgy.
00:20:21.620 They crave the beauty.
00:20:23.160 They crave the incense.
00:20:24.780 They crave the gold.
00:20:26.300 They crave the power of God.
00:20:28.500 That's what they want.
00:20:29.540 They want to be ruled.
00:20:30.800 They want to be cultivated.
00:20:32.060 They want to be slaves to Christ.
00:20:34.280 That's what they want.
00:20:35.120 They want that purpose.
00:20:36.440 They don't know.
00:20:37.180 They're wandering the desert right now.
00:20:38.860 We don't want them
00:20:39.500 to be wandering the desert.
00:20:41.080 They don't want to be
00:20:41.920 wandering the desert.
00:20:42.560 We want to bring them out.
00:20:43.420 We want to show them
00:20:44.440 their inheritance,
00:20:45.480 the greatness of
00:20:46.440 Western civilization,
00:20:47.700 the sacrifice of Christ
00:20:48.800 on the cross.
00:20:49.760 When you look at the church today,
00:20:52.040 you're a Catholic.
00:20:53.220 You've got one child,
00:20:54.760 one on the way,
00:20:55.440 so you know they're going
00:20:56.240 to be growing up
00:20:57.000 in the church.
00:20:59.000 And you look at
00:20:59.760 our hierarchy today,
00:21:01.740 do you still have hope?
00:21:02.960 I'm terrified of the current,
00:21:04.920 of what damage
00:21:06.260 the current hierarchy
00:21:07.720 could potentially do
00:21:08.960 if they don't correct
00:21:10.020 course soon.
00:21:10.800 These young people
00:21:11.660 are angry.
00:21:12.160 These young people
00:21:14.060 are extraordinarily angry
00:21:16.280 and you need to stop
00:21:17.600 fighting them
00:21:18.180 and start loving them.
00:21:19.440 You need to start
00:21:20.040 fine-tuning them
00:21:20.960 and stop hating them
00:21:22.160 for who they are
00:21:22.860 or what they believe.
00:21:23.980 Stop apologizing
00:21:25.020 for whatever social justice
00:21:26.480 cause that you're
00:21:27.380 fighting for
00:21:28.200 and start fighting
00:21:28.840 for the people
00:21:29.880 that built all of this up,
00:21:31.220 the people that built Rome,
00:21:33.160 the people that built,
00:21:34.160 you know,
00:21:35.180 Cologne's Cathedral,
00:21:36.440 those people,
00:21:37.600 the Western people.
00:21:39.180 Those people
00:21:39.900 deserve something as well.
00:21:41.340 They're forgotten.
00:21:42.760 They're left behind.
00:21:43.980 And I do see
00:21:45.400 a glimmer of hope.
00:21:46.740 I'm looking at
00:21:47.500 Orthodoxy returning
00:21:48.600 in striking numbers
00:21:51.040 among the young clergy
00:21:53.220 of the church.
00:21:54.520 But I do feel
00:21:56.580 that a lot of these
00:21:57.600 older bishops,
00:21:58.780 they are so glued
00:22:01.060 to progressivism.
00:22:02.560 They are so glued
00:22:03.980 to the negative outcomes
00:22:06.340 from the spirit
00:22:06.960 of Vatican II.
00:22:07.660 They're so devoted
00:22:09.160 to these things
00:22:10.760 that are making
00:22:11.340 young people
00:22:11.980 just meh
00:22:13.320 with the church.
00:22:14.860 And they need
00:22:16.240 to either change
00:22:18.080 or they need to go.
00:22:19.620 You mentioned
00:22:20.160 from your youth
00:22:20.960 you were talking
00:22:21.680 about the apparitions
00:22:24.000 of Our Lady of Fatima.
00:22:25.580 Does that figure in
00:22:26.760 at all
00:22:27.200 to your calculus
00:22:28.300 of your future outlook
00:22:29.800 for the church?
00:22:30.440 I would say it does.
00:22:31.520 I believe that Our Lady
00:22:32.320 is watching out for us.
00:22:33.520 I agree.
00:22:33.900 I agree that Our Lady
00:22:35.280 will cradle us
00:22:36.140 in her arms
00:22:36.820 as people that are
00:22:38.220 earnestly seeking her
00:22:39.360 no matter what
00:22:40.280 the church hierarchy does.
00:22:42.160 If there's anything
00:22:42.880 that this experience
00:22:43.840 has taught me
00:22:44.640 is that God
00:22:46.540 will be there for me
00:22:47.440 when the church won't be.
00:22:48.480 We've had a fundraiser
00:22:49.480 going on for me
00:22:51.100 and it's already
00:22:52.280 raised.
00:22:55.040 If you were to
00:22:55.540 negate taxation
00:22:56.440 what my salary
00:22:57.720 would have been
00:22:58.400 had I stayed there
00:22:59.300 for another year.
00:23:00.820 You know,
00:23:01.200 it's kind of ironic,
00:23:03.140 right?
00:23:03.340 But it tells me
00:23:06.220 that God
00:23:07.480 that God himself
00:23:08.640 you know
00:23:09.320 is looking
00:23:10.160 is looking down
00:23:11.060 and saying
00:23:11.680 I'm very disappointed
00:23:13.540 that this happened
00:23:14.320 but do not let this
00:23:15.560 thwart you.
00:23:16.600 Do not let this
00:23:17.380 get you down.
00:23:18.220 I will be here for you
00:23:19.320 if they will not
00:23:20.120 and you know
00:23:21.660 I feel like that's
00:23:22.680 through the intercession
00:23:23.500 of Our Lady.
00:23:24.540 I credit this
00:23:25.300 to the intercession
00:23:26.220 of St. Therese
00:23:26.960 the little flower.
00:23:28.040 I always carry
00:23:28.800 on my neck
00:23:29.920 a third class relic
00:23:31.200 of hers.
00:23:32.160 and my family
00:23:34.500 has had a devotion
00:23:35.120 to her for roughly
00:23:36.100 100 years now
00:23:36.980 ever since she was
00:23:37.660 made a saint.
00:23:38.360 I believe
00:23:38.920 that we are
00:23:41.060 potentially amidst
00:23:43.240 a mass apostasy
00:23:44.500 in the church
00:23:45.220 since the 1960s
00:23:46.780 and I fervently
00:23:47.800 believe it's coming
00:23:49.220 to an end
00:23:49.860 and peace is coming.
00:23:50.900 Joe Enders
00:23:51.420 thank you so much
00:23:52.100 for being with us.
00:23:52.780 God bless you
00:23:53.340 and God bless
00:23:54.440 all your family.
00:23:55.560 Keep fighting
00:23:56.680 for the truth.
00:23:57.320 Obviously the Lord
00:23:58.200 loves you
00:23:58.900 and is taking care of you.
00:24:00.220 God bless you my friend.
00:24:01.340 God bless.
00:24:02.020 And God bless all of you
00:24:03.100 and we'll see you next time.
