The John-Henry Westen Show - Breaking Now： Arizona Bishops Attempt to Cancel Catholics

00:00:00.000 I couldn't sit back. I don't want to get into this. Do you think I want to be a target? What's

00:00:03.560 in it for me to be out there now? It's not, but it's my faith. I can't sit this one out.

00:00:07.540 I love their souls, their souls, the bishops, and also the souls of those candidates

00:00:11.960 who are not getting called out. We wouldn't be doing this, John. I got plenty of other stuff

00:00:16.560 to be doing right now, to be totally honest. But no one is speaking up. And there's a plague

00:00:22.020 of silence happening here. So if they don't do it, then we got to do it ourselves.

00:00:26.060 We've got breaking news here at LifeSite News. You know, Catholics standing up to do something

00:00:33.080 for the elections is really, really crucial. We've been talking about that forever at LifeSite,

00:00:37.360 how real Christians need to stand up to promote life, to promote family, and shoot down some of 1.00

00:00:43.500 these really fake Christians, fake Catholics, like Joe Biden, who call themselves Catholic 0.96

00:00:48.540 and yet promote all of the anti-Catholic values. Well, there is a group that has started that's 0.93

00:00:54.200 been doing exactly that. They're called Catholics for Catholics. They're actually really, really

00:00:59.000 clever because they're willing to support even non-Catholic Christians who are much more 1.00

00:01:04.880 Catholics than sometimes the Catholics claiming to be Catholic, but out there promoting abortion,

00:01:09.940 et cetera, et cetera. But the bishops apparently are unhappy with this. Believe it or not, the bishops

00:01:18.340 in Arizona have called on Catholics to not pay attention to what's going on with these great

00:01:25.440 Catholics that are trying to do something actually Catholic. This is John Henry Weston's show. Stay tuned. 0.87

00:01:48.340 I am so pleased to introduce you all to John Yep. He is a spokesman for Catholics for Catholics. This

00:02:04.340 is an awesome group. John, welcome to the program. Great to be here, John. Thank you. Let's begin as

00:02:09.600 we always do with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

00:02:15.520 First of all, John, I want people to have an understanding of this awesome group of yours,

00:02:22.780 Catholics for Catholics, just started. So to do that, I want to show them this great, great promo. Take a look.

00:02:33.620 Catholics for Catholics had our inaugural event on October 13th in Phoenix, Arizona,

00:02:39.420 battleground for so many issues that are facing our country right now. We were spearheaded

00:02:44.260 by our keynote speaker, General Michael Flynn, a warrior in the cultural fight, and others. Father

00:02:50.340 James Altman and Steve Bannon showed up, and a number of the candidates who we wanted to highlight

00:02:55.960 and say, these guys may not be baptized Catholics, but yet their principles are much more in line

00:03:01.940 with their Democrat counterparts who refer to themselves as Catholics stand for.

00:03:06.740 Now, what does it mean to be a Catholic? How can you just use that word? Because

00:03:11.720 these particular politicians, they go against some fundamental tenets of our faith. You know,

00:03:18.640 the right to life, euthanasia, their stance on the border, human trafficking. These aren't just like

00:03:24.140 lower taxes, higher taxes issues. This country is going to be won or lost over the battle for ideas

00:03:31.860 and definitions. There's been a total negation of some of the most basic concepts, man, a woman,

00:03:39.040 a life, a child, a Catholic, not a Catholic, a citizen, an immigrant. There has been a plague 1.00

00:03:47.680 of silence coming from the traditional forms of leadership in society, church leadership,

00:03:55.560 leadership, some political figures, business organizations. They're not speaking up when

00:04:00.900 they have to. There's something special happening today, and Catholics for Catholics is at the

00:04:06.460 forefront when we stand with our fellow patriots in the trenches, ready for this great awakening

00:04:12.960 that's happening before our eyes in the greatest country ever known to man.

00:04:16.580 John, tell us, I mean, you guys are sort of brand new, but you're already very slick. That was an

00:04:26.240 awesome video. Tell us what you've done. Tell us a little bit more about that rally you just had

00:04:31.280 and what you're doing. Honestly, John, this started this summer. A group of us here in Phoenix were just

00:04:36.620 staring at the races and realized that the five most important races in the state from governor,

00:04:43.600 secretary of state, the Senate, and then two key congressional races had the unique scenario

00:04:49.280 where all five of the Democrats in some way, shape, or form referred to themselves as Catholic.

00:04:54.900 Now, that hit us like a train. Like, you've got to be kidding me. Our state's about to be

00:05:00.740 ruled by five men and women who call themselves Catholic. They're not because they go against

00:05:07.500 such key issues. So we decided to create a group that would basically, I guess, say like the emperor

00:05:16.360 has no clothes on, right? You know, that what we all know to be true, that there are some politicians

00:05:22.000 who's, they may not be baptized Catholics, yet their policies are much more in sync with our Catholic

00:05:29.820 faith, and therefore we need to get behind them. We've just been crucified here, but with the last 20

00:05:36.540 years of leadership in the church where elections, it's all about it, they stop short and they always

00:05:41.500 say, well, just follow your conscience, right? I mean, you can get away with that if that's higher

00:05:46.780 taxes, lower taxes kind of issues or just minor things. But when you're talking about the defensive

00:05:52.520 life, when the border is wide open and like, you know, you can't even go trick-or-treating around

00:05:57.700 here because of like the fentanyl pills. I mean, there's serious stuff. We, we, God's come out,

00:06:02.320 it's not even political anymore. Come out and just say what we all know to be saved. This is the

00:06:05.760 correct Catholic choice. Let's do it. You guys are actively working on the fronts of life and

00:06:10.540 family. But here with all of the bishops who always talk about getting involved politically,

00:06:18.060 the bishops are confronting you. First of all, let's take a look at the bishops. First of all,

00:06:23.100 this is John Dolan. John Dolan actually took over from the old Archbishop of Phoenix, Olmstead.

00:06:30.740 Thomas Olmstead was awesome. He was pro-life, pro-family, and he was removed. And in comes

00:06:38.060 John Dolan, an appointment of Pope Francis. Hugely scandalous because he's known, at least at LifeSite,

00:06:43.700 he's known as a homosexual activist bishop because of his pandering to the homosexual community. We'll 0.60

00:06:48.940 get into that in a minute. But first of all, I want to look at, here's what the bishop said about

00:06:53.940 the election. Take a look. As bishops of the Catholic Church in Arizona, we would like to take

00:07:01.060 this opportunity to discuss the importance of faith with regard to the upcoming election.

00:07:08.300 The Catholic Church is not partisan and does not endorse candidates.

00:07:15.260 So, here they are claiming to be non-partisan, and yet all of a sudden they're confronting your

00:07:20.640 group. What is it that they said about you guys, and what's their beef?

00:07:25.240 Canon Law 216. They're basically trying to make the beef that we don't have the right to use the

00:07:29.460 term Catholic, right? Now, that's a, you know, a canon law argument, and we knew that they would 0.99

00:07:36.160 come after us for that. It's like, it's predictable. We're prepped for that, and they'll

00:07:39.560 be having a response from our canon lawyer to fight for that use of the word. But they use that to say

00:07:45.780 and remind us that, you know, it is, should be our faith, which motivates us to get into the

00:07:52.920 political life, and not politics, which motivates us to get into faith all the way around. And they

00:07:58.500 accuse us that if we do that, we're outside the teachings of the church, which I don't know what

00:08:04.080 they're talking about, because honestly, God, I'm doing this because it originates in my prayer life,

00:08:08.300 in my adoration, in my daily prayer. I couldn't sit back. I don't want to get into this. Do you think

00:08:12.700 I want to be a target? What's in it for me to be out there now? It's not, but it's my faith. I can't

00:08:17.120 sit someone out. I love their souls, their souls, the bishops, and also the souls of those candidates

00:08:22.100 who are not getting called out. We wouldn't be doing this, John. I got plenty of other stuff to

00:08:26.820 be doing right now, to be totally honest. But no one is speaking up, and there's a plague of silence

00:08:32.780 happening here. So if they don't do it, then we got to do it ourselves, right? So that's, so they try to

00:08:38.660 play that flip-flop, you know, it's don't use your politics to hijack your faith, you know, but that's

00:08:44.980 not even true. And if you want to quote Canada Wah, I mean, you know, back at you 915, right? Any

00:08:51.620 politician who is in manifest grave sin should be barred from Holy Communion. And here, I'm going to

00:08:59.280 even point out, I mean, Bishop Milstead has been very, very good in so many ways, and I personally

00:09:03.700 grateful for what he did to me. But, you know, I got to call also a spade a spade, as people can call

00:09:08.060 a spade a spade about my life, too. One of the people that's about to beat out a key U.S. House

00:09:13.640 race is Gregory Stanton. And he has been a pro-abort going against key Catholics for so long. He was

00:09:21.000 the mayor of Phoenix. And Bishop Olstead, you have to, you please explain to us, as a senator of the

00:09:28.020 letter that just accused me of being too political, why was he never excommunicated? And it's not a

00:09:33.480 punishment. Either excommunication is something that we use as a Catholic church, or let's just 0.93

00:09:38.840 scrap it, like they try to do the death penalty, but you really can't do that, you know that. So,

00:09:43.580 you know, this is medicinal. So why wasn't it ever administered? For his sake, and all of us are

00:09:48.600 getting scandalized. But that's what we're saying. You know, we feel orphaned, you know, our dads.

00:09:57.800 It struck me, people ask the moment you want to get involved in this election. I was not planning to,

00:10:02.340 a lot of us weren't. But it was the moment Mark Cook had his house raided. And there was a silence.

00:10:09.580 And it hit all of us. We all have families. And it's like, oh my gosh, you look over your shoulder,

00:10:15.140 who's going to come to my aid? I think Cardinal Kneeler went there, thanks be to God. But did

00:10:19.160 any bishops speak up? Dad, where are you? Right?

00:10:22.200 Just a quick note before we return. If you would like to stay up to date on LifeSite's coverage of

00:10:50.240 Bishop Strickland only. And also, there was a bishop friend of Mark Houck, who's known him for years,

00:10:59.840 who spoke as well, especially for Mark's character. But that's, you know, that's basically all we got.

00:11:04.500 But the damage that was done there was massive. But here, the bishops are coming out in force

00:11:13.000 with a public letter. Let's just show that letter on the screen for a second. Here they are saying

00:11:18.040 that, you know, they basically own the term Catholic and so on and so forth. Your organization,

00:11:22.660 by the way, it's called Catholics for Catholics, right? I mean, it doesn't even specifically have

00:11:27.740 that name Catholic, because I think that's the one that is specifically owned. But, I mean,

00:11:33.960 this is so bizarre. You're trying to do good work, and they feel the need to come out and say

00:11:39.160 something publicly, obviously confronting you guys. Now, very controversial with regard to Bishop

00:11:46.280 Dolan, because John Dolan, who is the new Archbishop of Phoenix, very, very controversial in his, as I said

00:11:54.740 earlier, the stuff around homosexuality with him was really, really severe. I'm referring to a case where

00:12:02.220 he was the pastor of the church previously, which had a homosexual activist as an official employee

00:12:09.700 of the church, despite the fact that the fellow's name was Aaron Bianco, despite the fact that Bianco 0.56

00:12:14.900 was a homosexual man married to his homosexual partner, despite the fact that he was out. And he 0.94

00:12:21.960 was actually one of the leaders of another group that calls itself Catholic called Call to Action,

00:12:28.580 which is a heretical group that promotes all sorts of leftist causes, but they also call themselves

00:12:33.560 Catholic, didn't notice that his pastor at the time, John Dolan, now Bishop Dolan, was calling Aaron

00:12:40.000 Bianco out, still letting him be, you know, a member of the, an employed member of the parish in, you know,

00:12:47.840 in public standing. Despite the fact that that was called out, no sanction then, no public warning,

00:12:53.680 no nothing. In fact, when members of the Legion of Mary called him out, the pastor out for it,

00:12:58.940 I think it was the Legion of Mary that suffered the acts from the bishop, from the now bishop,

00:13:05.440 then pastor. This is unbelievable. This is John Dolan daring not only to have done what he did in his

00:13:14.340 past with a Catholic group called Call to Action and leaving them alone. In fact, allowing one of

00:13:20.920 a very, very controversial leader in that group to be a paid member of the parish. This is just

00:13:27.580 craziness. And yet they're coming after you. It is crazy. And just to take that analogy,

00:13:32.680 we can hear those words, but here's a picture. Imagine Father Dolan at his, at his parish office

00:13:39.140 and Aaron's sitting there and his husband comes in, comes in for a big smooch at lunch break,

00:13:45.500 or maybe he's out on the playground with the kids and he's there with his boyfriend. You know,

00:13:52.080 those kids had that image now in their mind forever of a Catholic priest standing there and

00:13:57.320 saying nothing while those two men are gauging something contrary to natural law.

00:14:03.680 That's horrific. And that's, that should wake us all up.

00:14:08.260 These are the men who Pope Francis has appointed to be in charge of churches. They're devastating

00:14:15.800 the faithful. And even when good folks stand up to do the right thing, to support the faith,

00:14:20.140 to support life and family, they're shot down. This is unbelievable stuff. John, last word over to you.

00:14:28.140 What, what can people do and where can they learn more about Catholics for Catholics?

00:14:31.820 John, well, I think this is very important for the sake of evangelization.

00:14:34.900 Everything we're doing. We work with a lot of fallen away Catholics and I, I can, you know,

00:14:41.780 at our event, we gave, we gave a three foot statue to hopefully the future secretary of state,

00:14:47.980 Mark Fincham, who's, who's not a Catholic. He's a Christian. We were able to talk about what it

00:14:52.300 means to be a saint. We, we framed it since it was October 13th around Fatima, which syncs so nicely

00:14:59.300 into our present time with, with the onset of communism in this country. And we had everyone there at the

00:15:04.860 end. Protestants alike pray some Hail Marys. So this is about evangelization. I guarantee you right

00:15:11.180 now, I know this, John, there are people in that audience who would never, ever have given the

00:15:18.220 Catholic church a second look if it wasn't for people, uh, like all of our friends around us,

00:15:24.860 like yourselves, who are willing to speak up and say something is not right in the church. We are,

00:15:30.360 you know, love our faith. We're willing to just get our careers ruined, uh, lose friends,

00:15:34.780 but we have to speak up. And because of, we do that people, uh, who will take a look at this,

00:15:40.440 at this faith. Maybe this is Jesus Christ present in the Eucharist because these guys are willing to

00:15:45.260 stick up for and stick their necks out for it. So this is important for evangelization. This is

00:15:48.960 just about the negative and going after an attack. It's like, we just want to evangelize and please,

00:15:53.900 Bishop, just let us do that. Right. And we'll support you on that. So, but you can go find

00:15:57.820 more information on, uh, our website, cforc.com. We have some major stuff coming on major initiatives

00:16:04.880 we're going to unveil pretty soon. Just get, get, get through the elections and, uh, yeah,

00:16:09.360 we're not going any way. We're here to stay. Awesome, John. Great work and, uh, God bless you

00:16:13.640 and God bless all of you. We'll see you next time. Hi everyone. This is John Henry Weston. We hope you
