00:01:13.480 In a new interview released today by the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI said of President Joe Biden, and I quote,

00:01:28.600 Pope Benedict XVI added that Biden, quote,
00:01:31.200 is personally against abortion, end quote.
00:01:34.300 Further demonstrating his misinformation about U.S. political realities, the Pope Emeritus said of Biden, and I quote again,
00:01:41.260 on gender politics, we have not yet fully understood what his position is, end quote.
00:01:48.600 The only caveat Pope Benedict mentioned was what seemed like a lament, and I quote again,
00:01:54.360 but as a president, he tends to present himself in continuity with the line of the Democratic Party, end quote.
00:02:02.600 So what is Pope Benedict watching in terms of media or news that leads him to believing, or worse yet,
00:02:10.820 parroting that Biden is personally opposed to abortion?
00:02:15.620 In his first two weeks in office, Biden has pledged to make abortion available to everyone
00:02:22.200 by codifying the Supreme Court's 1973 pro-abortion decision, Roe v. Wade.
00:02:26.480 He revoked the Mexico City policy that blocks federal funds from going to non-governmental organizations
00:02:32.860 that provide abortions in developing countries.
00:02:35.640 And even if the Pope saw none of that, he would surely have seen the letter from the U.S. Bishops' Conference
00:02:42.540 that called out Biden for his pro-abortion stance.
00:02:48.300 Archbishop Jose Gomez, the president of the U.S. Bishops' Conference,
00:02:51.700 warned that Biden's pledge to pursue anti-life and anti-family policies would advance moral evils
00:02:58.720 in the areas of, and I quote, abortion, contraception, marriage, and gender.
00:03:04.020 But another thing Pope Benedict is quoted in the paper as saying is just as troubling.
00:03:10.580 Benedict said he didn't fully understand Biden's stance on gender.
00:03:15.520 You know, I used to make a joke about Catholic politicians like Biden,
00:03:19.400 saying that he'd have to sort of marry a homosexual couple himself and make it public
00:03:24.340 for people to actually believe his stance.
00:03:27.060 Well, that's actually not even a joke anymore.
00:03:29.220 Biden did exactly that.
00:03:30.760 He personally officiated at a homosexual wedding ceremony for two men.
00:03:36.780 And he made sure to have it photographed and boast of it as well.
00:03:40.080 Moreover, on the very first day of his presidency, Biden issued an executive order to force gender-confused
00:03:49.320 men into women's sports.
00:03:51.440 And if all that is not enough evidence of the so-called gender stance that Biden has,
00:03:58.620 he is now pushing the Equality Act.
00:04:01.900 And it's really the death knell for pro-family, pro-life, and religious rights in America.
00:04:06.080 It would force Catholic institutions to hire transgenders, female priests, or face sanctions.
00:04:12.620 It would force Christian doctors to violate their own consciences in providing abortion

00:04:24.460 And it would actually increase girls' risks of sexual assault and eliminate women's sports

00:07:30.560 and using it to tout his faith in order both to attract Catholic votes and ward off Catholic criticism of his anti-Catholic positions.

00:09:12.140 LifeCite's Calvin Freiberger reports that as Attorney General of the Golden State,
00:09:16.620 Bezerra has shown a marked hostility to Americans who follow Judeo-Christian teaching on matters such as abortion and homosexuality.
00:09:25.860 From forcing churches to subsidize elective abortions and nuns to subsidize contraceptives,
00:09:32.020 to forcing pro-life pregnancy centers to advertise abortion resources,
00:09:35.800 to refusing to fund state employees' travel to South Carolina in protests of South Carolina's law protecting adoption agencies
00:09:45.540 that insist on giving children to both a mother and a father.
00:09:50.160 But being pro-abortion and then invoking the mother of God in the Holy Rosary,

00:10:05.100 but on the priests and bishops who fail to strenuously warn them of the eternal punishment awaiting them for such blasphemies.
