00:00:00.000 What Father Ripperger has said is very much unveiling the corruption that we live in the
00:00:08.000 church. He has denounced wrong, he has denounced bishops. I cannot imagine that after doing that
00:00:16.480 bishop work welcomes him. Hey my friends, a very strange thing happened when we broke this story
00:00:24.600 about Father Chad Ripperger, the famous exorcist being canceled, being silenced by his bishop,
00:00:32.940 Bishop Golka in Denver, the Archbishop of Denver. We got a comment from him. I received it after my
00:00:40.780 inquiry. And they actually said something very interesting because they said, and I'll quote it
00:00:48.300 for you. This was the response from the Archdiocese. It made it seem very much like it was either
00:00:56.860 Father Ripperger's idea, or at least that Father Ripperger very much went along with it.
00:01:03.200 Just, you know, it was just a suggestion and he was like, happy to accept. Here are the words
00:01:09.320 of the Archdiocese. During the conversation, the Archbishop asked Father Ripperger to consider
00:01:14.760 a one-year fast from public speaking and interviews. The time will allow him to devote
00:01:20.880 himself to the society and to the people it serves. Father Ripperger readily agreed. At the end of the
00:01:28.300 year, they will review the arrangement together. Now, that caused an uproar on the internet as
00:01:35.100 all sorts of people said, you see, it's no news at all. He readily agreed. It was like a mutual
00:01:42.440 agreement. And I was just stunned that everybody was ready to accept this. But I guess it's that
00:01:49.440 no one ever thinks that a bishop might lie or at least selectively present things in such a way as
00:01:57.140 to save face. But my next guest is someone who knows how that works. In fact, he's someone who
00:02:08.880 was not only silenced, much worse, even laicized by the very same bishop who just did this to
00:02:20.560 Father Ripperger. My next guest is Monsignor Ricardo Coronado. And he was a Monsignor over
00:02:30.620 in Peru, invited by a very well-known, very much beloved, very conservative bishop in the United
00:02:37.880 States, in Colorado Springs, Bishop Sheridan, whom many of us older Catholics remember very
00:02:43.560 well. Anyway, he invited him to become his vicar general, his chancellor in his diocese, even had
00:02:51.260 him be an exorcist in his diocese, because Monsignor Coronado was such a well-known canon lawyer in
00:02:57.800 Peru and then in America as well. But Monsignor Coronado fell afoul of things when Bishop Golka
00:03:09.980 came to Colorado Springs, where he was before he went to Denver. And then when he was basically
00:03:18.780 removed, Monsignor Coronado was removed, Monsignor Coronado went and took up the case of three
00:03:24.780 abuse victims. Three girls, now women, who were abused and were coming forward with a case of
00:03:31.820 cover-up by one Robert Prevost. Monsignor Coronado took up that case and lo and behold, he was
00:03:38.880 dismissed from the clerical state, laicized by Archbishop Gamalca when he was bishop still
00:03:46.480 in Colorado Springs. I wanted to bring on Monsignor Coronado to talk to us about how this works with
00:03:55.820 Bishop Golka, how he experienced his cancellation, and how it might compare to what happened to
00:04:05.240 Father Ripperger. Thank you so much for joining us, Monsignor.
00:04:08.260 Oh, thank you very much. This is another great opportunity.
00:04:12.220 Indeed. Let's begin, as we always do, with the sign of the cross, if you could lead us, please.
00:04:15.520 To the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
00:04:18.460 Amen.
00:04:19.740 My dear friends, the Mother of God is calling you to her shrine at Fatima,
00:04:25.040 where she performed the most outstanding public miracle in human history
00:04:30.160 to warn us of the calamity the world and the Church are undergoing right now.
00:04:35.380 Join world-renowned prophecy experts Xavier Eral, Ted Flynn,
00:04:40.620 Father Paul Kramer, and your favorite LifeSite personalities,
00:04:43.440 Father Charles Murr, Father Altman, Frank Wright, and myself, along with special guest
00:04:48.700 Carrie Brejean Buller, for a powerful conference dedicated to Our Lady Mediatrics of All Graces.
00:04:55.620 November 11th and 12th, stand where Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia once played.
00:05:02.640 The very well where the angel of peace, the guardian angel of Portugal, appeared in 1916,
00:05:08.980 urging prayers and sacrifices for the conversion of sinners.
00:05:12.700 Walk the paths with us between the children's homes
00:05:15.900 and see how they lived in simple poverty.
00:05:19.280 Pray at the saints' tombs.
00:05:22.040 Join the breathtaking candlelight procession
00:05:24.800 right where Our Lady appeared,
00:05:26.980 giving us both the warning and the solution
00:05:30.040 to the crisis she predicted would come.
00:05:32.840 Stay at the beautiful Divine Hotel
00:05:35.420 just a gentle 15-minute walk from the shrine.
00:05:38.780 Savor the gorgeous land of Portugal
00:05:40.840 where Our Lady promised that faith would always be retained.
00:05:45.060 And get this, I was able to sit down with Mel Gibson
00:05:47.420 and get a beautiful little conversation recorded about prophecy,
00:05:53.460 about prophecy from St. Louis de Montfort, St. Anne Catherine Emick,
00:05:58.200 and you're going to get to hear that exclusively at Roll My Farm.
00:06:01.940 Taste the famous pastries dedicated to the sacred heart of Jesus.
00:06:05.880 Stock up on rosaries and sacred gifts before Christmas.
00:06:08.900 us, and don't miss the unforgettable Fatal Music evening.
00:06:12.780 This is more than just a conference, it's your invitation from heaven to make a pilgrimage
00:06:17.760 of reparation for the attempt to strip our mother of her titles.
00:06:23.100 We will honor her as co-redemptrix and mediatrix of all graces in the very place she came to
00:06:28.660 warn us, to warn our generation.
00:06:31.940 The time of fulfillment is upon us.
00:06:35.460 show her that there are still some of her children who love and venerate her. Let's answer our lady's
00:06:42.900 call together. Seats are limited, so reserve now. You've watched what happened silencing
00:06:52.660 right now of Father Ripperger. He's not allowed to even continue the talks he had already scheduled.
00:06:59.640 He had to undo, I know, ours, of course.
00:07:03.380 That's how we found out or learned of his doing it with us.
00:07:07.500 He had to cancel ours.
00:07:09.260 He had to cancel with one Vicky Yamasaki, with Terry Barber, all sorts of conferences
00:07:15.020 he was scheduled to speak at.
00:07:16.620 He had to cancel.
00:07:18.020 He's not allowed to write publicly or appear on shows publicly.
00:07:24.180 So it's a major, major thing.
00:07:26.820 And the Archbishop writes now that, yes, but it was mutually agreed.
00:07:31.760 What's your background on this, and what's your take on it?
00:07:34.780 Let me correct two things.
00:07:36.880 Gorka didn't dismiss me from the clerical estate.
00:07:40.440 You know, the process, under his recommendation, began here in my diets in Peru.
00:07:47.700 But it was all coordinated with Gorka and with preps.
00:07:51.360 so um so what vodka did in colorado spreece was basically to ask me to leave the diocese however
00:08:00.700 we have a contract for five years that what my diocese signed with bishop sherry five years
00:08:07.720 so four years were remaining so my my lawyer civil lawyer recommended me if we are we are going to
00:08:15.420 You're not going to work well with this new Archbishop.
00:08:19.340 It would be better for you just to come to an agreement, a settlement,
00:08:24.840 so you don't go to court and not do all of that.
00:08:27.660 So in the settlement, they recognized me these 40 remaining years of work.
00:08:35.000 But also, there was one stipulation saying that he would not disparage.
00:08:40.800 I wouldn't either.
00:08:41.840 to what happened in Colorado Springs.
00:08:45.180 And he made a public release
00:08:49.100 saying that I was looking for greater opportunities
00:08:53.980 in the church.
00:08:56.480 I didn't have enough in Colorado Springs,
00:08:58.500 so I was looking for greater opportunities.
00:09:00.820 But those greater opportunities did not exist.
00:09:04.600 So he is very concerned about his PR.
00:09:08.380 Public relations is key for him.
00:09:11.140 So he will say, he will use euphemisms, a lot of euphemisms, to cover up something that
00:09:20.640 is uglier to the side.
00:09:23.520 And of course, you cannot speak to defend yourself.
00:09:27.800 So in this case, Father is totally trapped.
00:09:31.600 He cannot say anything to defend himself, canonically or in the civil society.
00:09:38.820 so that the bishop uses force.
00:09:43.040 And this is very important
00:09:44.720 because this is what's going on in the church today.
00:09:49.160 So they will never argue with you,
00:09:51.460 especially if they know
00:09:53.700 you have better academic or intellectual background than if.
00:10:00.280 So they will never point to any reason
00:10:03.160 or any real reason why you can't remove or cite.
00:10:08.820 So they would say, well, it wasn't anything.
00:10:11.100 It was a civil conversation, and it was his wish.
00:10:14.640 No, it wasn't.
00:10:16.000 I can promise you that it wasn't Father's wishes.
00:10:19.800 It was not my wish to give Colorado space.
00:10:22.640 I couldn't work well with Bishop Gorka for three reasons.
00:10:29.240 First of all, he requires blind obedience to him.
00:10:34.680 If your conscience tells you something contrary to what he's doing,
00:10:38.740 you have to betray your conscience.
00:10:40.440 Let me give you an example.
00:10:42.560 There was a couple who wanted to get married in Colorado Springs.
00:10:47.400 They approached me first.
00:10:49.560 But the groom underwent vasectomy before the wedding.
00:10:57.640 So this is the strongest deny against the good of children.
00:11:02.120 and they requested me to grant the dispensation.
00:11:06.000 So I said, no, I cannot dispense that.
00:11:08.700 I cannot dispense marriage for what is essential to its nature.
00:11:15.680 So I would say, yeah, get married, but marriage is not going to be valid,
00:11:19.600 so I cannot commit that sin.
00:11:21.460 Well, they went to the bishop.
00:11:23.980 And the bishop granted that dispensation,
00:11:27.460 and I wrote to him a paper saying, no, you cannot do that
00:11:32.220 because you cannot denaturalize the institution of men.
00:11:37.140 Well, he was very angry because I corrected him.
00:11:41.360 You cannot correct him. 0.94
00:11:42.880 He is very arrogant verse. 0.64
00:11:45.120 That was the beginning of the end of my tenure as a judicial dicker and chancellor.
00:11:51.040 Then he wrote to my bishop.
00:11:53.420 Even we had the agreement that no disparage will be made,
00:11:56.580 He wrote to my bishop, and my bishop in Cajamarca never wanted to show me the letter.
00:12:03.200 He consulted with Volker, and Volker said, no, this is confidential.
00:12:07.540 So they are playing with your life in a confidential way,
00:12:11.880 and you can know anything about what your faith may be, because they have power.
00:12:20.020 You may have reason.
00:12:21.560 They have power.
00:12:22.880 They use authority.
00:12:25.560 You know, it's hard for me to use that word
00:12:29.160 because authority is something that you earn.
00:12:32.080 You become more an authority when you act right with it.
00:12:39.260 When they use force, they use power to silence.
00:12:45.700 Then he went to publish a decree against me,
00:12:51.220 which I was not his subject anymore.
00:12:53.540 I was far away in Peru, and he used the excuse of a wedding that I was supposed to go and
00:13:01.500 celebrate his diagnosis.
00:13:03.020 I was not going to that wedding, but he used that pretext to stain my name, and he used
00:13:10.640 the same wording as you would to somebody who has abused children.
00:13:16.000 Because of that defamation, I presented my case to the civil authorities in Colorado Springs for two reasons.
00:13:25.640 Breaching of this contract and also defamation.
00:13:30.180 They didn't want to touch it because they considered us a church business.
00:13:36.780 This is not a state.
00:13:37.800 So if they defame you, that's church business.
00:13:41.360 The bishop can defame you all he wants.
00:13:43.680 He can breach any contract that he signed to you, and the civil authorities will not defend you.
00:13:51.380 They will never judge them.
00:13:54.340 So they made me pay $30,000 for legal fees, and then they even charged more to my lawyers.
00:14:03.980 He teamed up with the Bishop of Cajamarca, Ann Prems, who was at that time Prefect for the Congregation of the Bishops.
00:14:13.680 So what he has published in regards to Father Ripperger, I don't believe it.
00:14:22.340 You know, he has to control, because what Father Ripperger has said
00:14:28.580 is very much unveiling the corruption that we live in the church.
00:14:35.660 He has denounced wrong, he has denounced bishops.
00:14:38.960 I cannot imagine that after doing that, Bishop Golka welcomes him and says,
00:14:47.220 let me send you something that you would like.
00:14:50.380 That's, you know, that's not the truth.
00:14:55.040 So he counsels him and makes him to say that he's great that he did that too.
00:15:02.000 This is how the cynicism of these bishops are.
00:15:06.040 You know, I would challenge Bishop Golka.
00:15:08.840 Bishop Golka, you lied a lot.
00:15:13.280 Let me tell you, you lie about two priests in Colorado Springs
00:15:17.160 who misbehaved sexually among themselves.
00:15:20.840 I judged them.
00:15:22.620 Especially I judged one of them because he broke the seal of confession.
00:15:27.480 I put some penalties for him, and you didn't observe these penalties.
00:15:32.120 And you said that he's the best priest you have, you could already speak.
00:15:37.720 You also elevated to a higher position another priest who exploited his employees at his parish.
00:15:48.860 And he would send them to work in his private house, a fixed private house with no payment, even on the weekends.
00:15:57.020 I put some penalties on that piece, and Bishop Golka then dismiss all these penalties. 0.96
00:16:06.180 He's an liar.
00:16:08.220 He does things that are totally unlawful in the church. 0.98
00:16:12.440 These things, Monsignor, are very hard to hear because there are a lot of people who will regard a bishop.
00:16:22.160 How can you say a bishop is lying?
00:16:24.200 that's that's impossible to believe but i think perhaps with the you know advent of the
00:16:32.800 sexual abuse crisis and seeing the cover-up people's eyes have been opened just a little
00:16:39.660 bit more but it's still hard to hear well not only him prebos also lied
00:16:44.940 because he said before the guardians that he fulfilled all his duties all his canonical
00:16:54.000 duties, investigating Lute, the
00:16:58.000 abusive priest in Ciclayo. But you know what? He didn't.
00:17:02.600 I have the letter from the current bishop of Ciclayo saying that they
00:17:06.020 didn't do a canonical investigation. He said that they
00:17:10.040 did a pastoral, pastoral investigation.
00:17:15.080 You know, a pastoral investigation does not exist.
00:17:19.180 You cannot do pastoral investigation.
00:17:21.360 There is only one way to go binding things in the church, which is canonical investigations.
00:17:28.380 And they never did that.
00:17:31.720 He presented something to the College of Cardinals, and the College of Cardinals chose to believe that.
00:17:39.540 What advice would you have for Catholics? 1.00
00:17:43.060 Because it's all over the place right now.
00:17:45.640 There are Catholics who are saying, well, obviously we believe the bishop, and then
00:17:53.240 there's some Catholics now ripping on Father Ripperger, who are basically saying he was
00:17:59.080 dangerous and so on.
00:18:00.460 It's mayhem out there. 1.00
00:18:01.920 And this is among really good Catholics, Catholics who all presumably believe in the faith and 0.79
00:18:08.000 try and promote it in different ways.
00:18:09.340 But this tendency to want to, I guess, defend the bishop or defend Leo XIV, it's so strong that it's almost impossible.
00:18:21.880 But I don't blame them.
00:18:23.460 You know why?
00:18:25.480 Because this is ecological.
00:18:27.520 It's not theoretical.
00:18:29.620 It's not theological issue.
00:18:31.960 It's ecological issue.
00:18:33.380 If I cannot believe the Pope, who I want to believe?
00:18:38.660 Nothing is left.
00:18:39.940 Everything is destroyed.
00:18:42.360 You know, my sick care cannot handle that.
00:18:45.860 This is what most of the people struggle with.
00:18:49.280 You know, if I cannot rely on my bishop,
00:18:52.600 who is the vicar of Christ for me in my diocese,
00:18:56.760 to whom should I belong?
00:18:59.280 Well, however, we need to have a better faith than that.
00:19:05.180 if you live in the 5th century
00:19:08.120 when 80 or 90% of
00:19:11.840 Jews were Aryans, heretics. 0.99
00:19:16.440 But you have done. 1.00
00:19:18.220 I mean, all of them were teaching
00:19:20.400 their people a wrong teaching.
00:19:24.760 They were running their diocese
00:19:26.980 by a huge mistake.
00:19:29.740 The church didn't collapse.
00:19:32.700 The church was not finished.
00:19:35.180 The church was not destroyed.
00:19:38.380 If we rely more on human means
00:19:41.980 than we do in Christ, 0.99
00:19:44.860 then the Catholic church is a club
00:19:46.920 where we want more power,
00:19:50.060 more earthly power, more temporal power.
00:19:53.320 We don't want the truth.
00:19:55.820 You know, I am not afraid to say all of this.
00:19:58.760 I was never afraid to be punished, to be removed.
00:20:03.080 I will continue to say this.
00:20:05.180 Because I know the facts are not making anything up.
00:20:10.960 I'm not.
00:20:12.060 And I'm telling you the truth.
00:20:13.520 I don't consider myself dismissed from the clerical state for the simple reason that I don't have any decree saying that.
00:20:22.160 They claim that Bergoglio signed it.
00:20:26.460 They never wanted to show it to me.
00:20:29.260 Why?
00:20:29.680 Why? Because they don't want history to say, well, here's one case where you dismay somebody for nothing.
00:20:40.100 Yeah, they don't want that to be in the record.
00:20:42.760 But I haven't seen my canonical process ever.
00:20:47.620 My canonical advocate was denied from having access to it.
00:20:53.500 when my kids went to Rome,
00:20:57.800 my canon lawyer in Rome went
00:21:00.000 and where they showed her was superficial.
00:21:04.700 So in fact, oh, let me tell you, in fact,
00:21:08.320 Father, there was a priest who was a Polish priest
00:21:11.820 who was a pastor where I was residing.
00:21:14.780 He accuses me of watching TV with two friends
00:21:19.340 but we all were dressed.
00:21:22.920 So, and we were watching TV.
00:21:26.480 However, he doesn't tell them that he will close his doors
00:21:31.520 or he will watch movies behind closed doorways to women in his apartment.
00:21:37.820 He wouldn't say that.
00:21:39.340 But for me to watch TV with two friends, adult friends, and we were dressed, that's wrong.
00:21:47.280 taking a hike
00:21:49.720 with
00:21:50.700 that was another thing
00:21:53.660 that was accused of
00:21:55.080 doing so wrong
00:21:56.920 why is hiking bad
00:21:58.940 you know publicly in the
00:22:01.520 open space in Colorado have
00:22:03.280 beautiful mountains to hike
00:22:05.760 well I was accused
00:22:07.580 of that and because of that I was
00:22:09.460 punished so they wouldn't find
00:22:11.380 something else they would try to
00:22:13.520 find something else to accuse
00:22:15.560 you something wrong, and they will issue something that you will never see, and they will tell
00:22:24.200 you to consider yourself to be punished, and you will have no defense, of course.
00:22:29.940 This is how the church is working now.
00:22:33.820 So if people feel bound to these decisions, I feel sorry for them, because they can be
00:22:43.440 abused.
00:22:44.020 They can be used and abused.
00:22:47.560 And, you know, Bishop Volca, Archbishop Volca, whatever his title is now,
00:22:53.620 he's a master on doing that because he surrounds himself with clever people
00:22:58.840 who teach him how to be known to his priests.
00:23:03.860 But at the same time, oh, publicly, he will be thankful, grateful to you
00:23:08.700 for the great work you have done, and then internally, well, it's massive.
00:23:12.760 A priest don't edit this. I want him to hear that from me.
00:23:16.800 If he wants to take me to court, I will have so many witnesses
00:23:20.520 to tell him how he abused other priests, also in Colorado Springs.
00:23:27.020 Many of them are far away.
00:23:29.520 They don't even want to come back to him or to Colorado Springs
00:23:33.860 because he made a toxic environment for them.
00:23:37.620 Monsignor Coronado, thank you so much for sharing with us your experiences.
00:23:40.500 and please, we'll keep you in our prayers
00:23:44.260 and I would ask you to remember
00:23:45.660 Father Ripperger and yours.
00:23:47.040 Of course I would.
00:23:48.160 God bless you.
00:23:48.960 And why don't you close off with your blessing?
00:23:50.940 May Almighty God bless you,
00:23:52.220 the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
00:23:54.480 Amen.
00:23:55.020 Amen.
00:23:56.280 And God bless all of you.
00:23:57.840 And we'll see you next time.
00:24:02.480 Last month, another major gold company
00:24:05.420 that sponsors some of America's largest news networks
00:24:08.680 went bankrupt.
00:24:10.500 And the bankruptcy filings show that $60 million is owed to that network's clients.
00:24:18.280 And virtually none of which is expected to be recovered for those families.
00:24:23.080 Not all gold companies are the same.
00:24:25.620 And we feel very blessed at LifeSite News to be partnered with St. Joseph's Partners,
