00:00:00.000 Actually, we're lucky. We're really lucky because we have God on our side and God always wins in the end.
00:00:09.340 So, let the games begin.
00:00:15.620 In Australia, something unbelievable is happening.
00:00:18.960 I am going to introduce you to the parents of a real Australian hero.
00:00:23.940 Monica Smith has been arrested in Australia and being held because she is fighting for democracy.
00:00:32.020 She's fighting for normal human rights.
00:00:34.100 She's fighting against the vaccine passports and the unbelievable brutality that's going on in Australia right now, forcing vaccine mandates on everyone.
00:00:43.800 You're going to want to stay tuned for this one.
00:00:53.940 Great news, everyone.
00:01:06.120 Just after we shot this video interview with Monica's parents, Monica was actually released on bail.
00:01:12.940 Here is a photo of her standing outside the correctional facility with her boyfriend.
00:01:18.480 This is going to be an awesome interview. Have a look.
00:01:20.780 John and Lee Smith, welcome to the program.
00:01:25.860 Thank you.
00:01:26.360 Thank you for having us.
00:01:27.880 Let's begin as we always do with the sign of the cross.
00:01:30.900 In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
00:01:37.640 John and Lee Smith, it's great having you on the program.
00:01:40.380 I told you before we started that, you know, I am very, if I were you, I'd be very, very proud of my daughter.
00:01:49.420 And I think a lot of families can see the heroic actions of your daughter and just wish that their own children would show that kind of resolve in the midst of great persecution.
00:02:05.580 If you could start by telling us a little bit about Monica and about, first of all, what she's facing right now, and then we'll get a little bit more into her history.
00:02:15.100 Give us what happened with your daughter.
00:02:17.760 Well, Monica is 33 years old at the moment.
00:02:21.280 She's not married, so she's single.
00:02:24.020 I think what led up to what she's doing at the moment is probably 10 years of other work she's done around the world.
00:02:31.040 She's worked as an investigative journalist.
00:02:33.880 She's never went to journalism school, so she had nobody to tell her what to say or what to do.
00:02:38.820 She did it all on her own.
00:02:39.880 She paid for all her trips herself because she worked very hard in real estate, and she was able to save a lot of money.
00:02:46.300 So one of the first projects was with the same-sex marriage bill that came to Australia, and it was voted on.
00:02:54.040 60% pro and 40% negative.
00:02:56.840 So she was very active in that, and one day she came downstairs, and she said to her,
00:03:03.520 Dad, there's something wrong with this, something wrong with this.
00:03:05.720 I've got to do something about this.
00:03:07.300 So she started videotaping and researching, and in the first interview that she did on Facebook,
00:03:15.240 she had 1,500 people watching, so she said, wow, my goodness, people are really interested in this.
00:03:20.860 So this went on for two or three weeks, and she said, Dad, I've made it.
00:03:26.540 I've had 500,000 people hit on my page, and I've had two death threats, so I've made it.
00:03:34.880 That's where it all sort of started.
00:03:36.500 Then she ended up in Asia.
00:03:38.140 She went to a lot of the Asian countries to work with the children that were being sold by their parents in the sex train.
00:03:44.580 She worked at quite a bit, raised money for the orphanages over there.
00:03:49.840 She spent quite a bit of time there.
00:03:51.820 She ended up in America, and she worked in Florida with the big floods that you had there,
00:03:59.580 the big hurricane you had over there, and it was about a year after it happened,
00:04:04.600 so she was able to report on that and see how badly the people were off
00:04:08.320 because they weren't getting the money that the government promised them.
00:04:10.980 Then she did a big article on the opium trade in America.
00:04:14.580 That led into three or four pilgrimages that she did in America,
00:04:18.100 and she reported on those and also did videos, one in Canada also, in Quebec,
00:04:23.020 and I was with her on that one there.
00:04:24.760 So this is how it all sort of started.
00:04:26.840 So when the situation happened with the so-called COVID-19,
00:04:32.280 she said the same thing to me,
00:04:33.720 Dad, I've got to do something about this.
00:04:36.500 This is wrong, you know?
00:04:37.500 And unfortunately, she was busy doing a documentary for us.
00:04:41.300 We did a documentary of A Lady Good Success and Garcia Moreno in Ecuador,
00:04:46.060 and she was starting to work on that to put it all together.
00:04:50.340 And so she said to me, Dad, what do I do?
00:04:52.660 Do I work on this documentary that you guys have started,
00:04:56.020 or do you want me to do this?
00:04:57.400 I said, I think you need to do what you feel is the right thing to do.
00:05:01.100 So she started.
00:05:02.500 And very similar things that happened when she first started
00:05:05.520 with the same-sex marriage bill.
00:05:08.380 Straight away, she got thousands of hits,
00:05:11.000 and that's sort of where I started.
00:05:13.820 Monica's strength is she sees a problem and she looks for a solution.
00:05:19.840 So it really started when she felt that people's voices were not being heard
00:05:24.160 during the first lockdown.
00:05:26.000 So she thought, how can we have a silent protest?
00:05:28.600 So this was all done online.
00:05:31.100 She collated evidence material and sent it to the MPs.
00:05:35.320 Then she encouraged people to send letters,
00:05:37.780 and then she had letterbox deliveries,
00:05:40.700 which was great for people they could get out of their home
00:05:42.920 and into the sunshine and deliver the letters.
00:05:46.480 She then started working with lawyers to find legal ways people can navigate
00:05:51.980 through all of these restrictions that we had.
00:05:55.100 One of the things that she is very happy with
00:05:58.900 is the satellite groups that she has created.
00:06:02.800 She has over 90 all over Australia,
00:06:05.680 and then one leader from each group.
00:06:08.100 They have a Zoom once a week.
00:06:10.260 And then she can mobilize people right away on issues that come up.
00:06:14.560 And this allows people to have that support with like-minded people.
00:06:19.220 And many have said that, you know, they were really depressed.
00:06:23.160 But once they got in contact with these groups,
00:06:25.220 they just felt supported and heard.
00:06:28.500 And her latest T-shirt says,
00:06:31.100 Empower, Engage, Enlighten.
00:06:34.660 And that kind of is where it really sums up what she's trying to give back to the people.
00:06:43.180 How did it come to Monica being arrested?
00:06:47.520 Because this is absolutely outrageous.
00:06:49.760 We're going to play a little clip of the arrest as she was describing it now.
00:06:55.980 And we'll watch this.
00:06:59.580 I've just been pulled over by the cops.
00:07:02.100 Probably because I'm outside of my 5Ks.
00:07:04.960 But we'll see what happens.
00:07:06.520 So I just thought I'd put the live stream on, just in case.
00:07:10.200 Hello, Monica.
00:07:19.960 How are you doing?
00:07:20.420 Good, you?
00:07:21.000 We're just from the Springvale Police Station.
00:07:23.380 Sure.
00:07:24.200 At the moment, we need to have a chat to you about a matter of incitement.
00:07:27.700 So I need to place you under arrest for that, okay?
00:07:29.700 Pardon?
00:07:30.420 At the moment, you're under arrest for incitement.
00:07:33.020 Have you guys been following me?
00:07:34.220 You do not have to say I do only,
00:07:35.180 but I think you say to you may report and give evidence.
00:07:36.800 Do you understand that?
00:07:37.420 Do you understand that, Monica?
00:07:40.440 No comment.
00:07:41.420 Okay.
00:07:41.940 Please share this video as much as possible.
00:07:43.880 Monica Smith has just been arrested for incitement.
00:07:46.080 Can you send a car off for me, please?
00:07:48.160 I'm going to find.
00:07:48.800 We're sending that car off.
00:07:53.580 How did we get here?
00:07:55.060 How did we get to the arrest of Monica?
00:07:57.820 Well, Monica has become a large, with a large following,
00:08:01.720 over 100,000 in different areas.
00:08:04.800 So obviously the police have been watching her.
00:08:07.720 Every move that she's made.
00:08:09.520 And she's made a lot of public speeches at protests.
00:08:12.280 She's obviously also mentioned to people that there's going to be a process here and there.
00:08:17.900 So the reasons he was arrested was for incitement, two charges of incitement,
00:08:23.840 which is so broad that it's crazy.
00:08:26.660 And also three charges of not following the health directive,
00:08:31.800 the chief health officer directive.
00:08:33.720 And those charges are, in Australia law, infringements.
00:08:40.280 So they're like a traffic infringement.
00:08:42.700 So she should not have been arrested, but she was arrested.
00:08:45.660 That's where it started.
00:08:46.460 I think they just wanted to silence her and to create a situation where she was afraid
00:08:51.520 and she would buckle down and listen to them.
00:08:56.020 I mean, they went, they obviously got her computer and all that sort of stuff.
00:09:00.060 So they could check everything that was on there.
00:09:02.140 Now, what I find most incredible is that because this is just an infringement,
00:09:07.020 and like you said, like a traffic violation, why is she being held in prison?
00:09:12.020 Why is she being held?
00:09:14.040 That just seems totally nuts.
00:09:15.880 But I want you to describe particularly what the odious thing she was supposed to sign
00:09:22.540 in order to get released, if you could.
00:09:24.940 She seemed to be one of several people that were being arrested.
00:09:29.720 And when you look at their profile, they all have a lot of members.
00:09:33.540 The process seems to be that they arrest them, even though it's not lawful.
00:09:38.480 But once they get a bail condition on them, then once that is broken,
00:09:44.540 that is a legally binding offence.
00:09:48.920 And then you go back into prison, and this time lawfully.
00:09:53.340 And so the bail hearing happening in a few hours today is very, very important.
00:10:01.100 But the first bail hearing that she had was they tried to do everything very quickly.
00:10:05.880 They arrested her at about 1 o'clock.
00:10:07.280 They interviewed her, and they wanted to do – they had about 10 or 12 conditions
00:10:11.140 that she wanted to abide to.
00:10:12.780 And what if it was to close down her Reignite Democracy Australia site?
00:10:17.000 And also stop – she also has a political party called Reignite Democracy
00:10:20.880 because it's the only way you can make a difference in Australia
00:10:23.620 and probably in other countries, that you have to start a party.
00:10:27.000 So they wanted to shut everything down, about 12 conditions.
00:10:30.000 And she said, no, I'm not doing that.
00:10:32.300 So then they tried to do it that night at 3 o'clock in the morning
00:10:36.040 and tried to get her to sign these documents.
00:10:38.140 And we mobilised in the meantime a solicitor, a barrister,
00:10:43.660 and also now we have a couple of other barristers that are helping at the moment.
00:10:49.220 So then another bail hearing a couple of days later where they dropped their conditions
00:10:57.300 quite a bit more, but she still would not sign them because that was ridiculous.
00:11:04.560 So now today at 10 o'clock, she's having a bail hearing in the Supreme Court,
00:11:10.160 which is most unusual.
00:11:11.220 And it's going to be on a link so people can watch it.
00:11:15.580 So, yeah, so that's sort of a little bit of a background of what's happening
00:11:19.080 in the last couple of weeks.
00:11:20.400 It's just absolutely unbelievable.
00:11:23.540 Also, though, her courage in the face of all of this insanity is really, really remarkable.
00:11:30.060 I know you two are very faithful in your faith and your belief in God and everything else.
00:11:38.060 Does that play a factor in Monica's life as well?
00:11:40.840 Without a doubt.
00:11:41.520 Without a doubt.
00:11:42.220 Yes.
00:11:42.920 I mean, we are no longer able to speak to her.
00:11:46.320 They've cut off all of her calls.
00:11:49.400 We can't send anything to her.
00:11:51.560 So there's no way of communicating anymore.
00:11:53.060 But the last conversation, she made it very, very clear that it's her faith that is sustaining her.
00:12:00.680 You know, she does rosaries pacing around this little room.
00:12:04.860 You know, often God does that.
00:12:06.820 He takes you away from the world and has you just to himself.
00:12:10.740 And she had very consciously had the conversation with him saying, use me, use my life.
00:12:18.280 And so I think it's been a very empowering experience for her from that point of view.
00:12:25.880 And honestly, the lawyers are surprised at how resilient and how firm she is.
00:12:32.480 And I think that's just a sign of God's strength supporting her.
00:12:37.480 And all the prayers, my goodness.
00:12:40.260 We are overwhelmed.
00:12:42.380 And we are so grateful for the masses being said and the prayers.
00:12:46.920 It means everything to us.
00:12:49.880 One of the reasons that Monica is in this situation is because she's defending truth.
00:12:56.100 And if you don't, you suppress it.
00:12:58.600 And on her latest T-shirt, she put the quote of George Orwell.
00:13:03.680 In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
00:13:09.600 It's amazing, and I bet you that after this program, Monica Smith will be getting many, many more prayers from all of our LifeSite fans who are now very much fans of Monica Smith.
00:13:23.840 If you could, John and Liz, tell us in your own words, what would be Monica's message, not only for Australia, but for all the world right now?
00:13:33.600 One of the first statements that she relayed to us was, and I'm sure you've seen it, I would rather be in jail with no rights than to willingly sign my rights away.
00:13:47.460 And the other was, if they can't break me, they can't break you.
00:13:52.040 What was Monica's, in her description to you, what was her take on the vaccines and on the vaccine mandate?
00:14:02.320 Well, the research that she's done, she obviously feels that it shouldn't be mandated.
00:14:08.960 First of all, a lot of us believe that it's not even a vaccine.
00:14:12.760 And she certainly feels that, you know, it shouldn't be mandatory.
00:14:17.020 Because, you know, she's not an anti-vaxxer, by the way.
00:14:20.660 She's pro-choice.
00:14:22.200 And she's especially pro-informed consent.
00:14:26.020 And, you know, that's what people like Monica are all about, is presenting both sides of the story and giving people material that, unfortunately, the mainstream media is neglecting to do.
00:14:40.440 And so, you know, it's all about people being empowered with knowledge and truth.
00:14:44.680 And yet, that is being stomped on so hard.
00:14:48.100 Australia has been somewhat of a horror show for the whole wide world, seeing particularly the brutality of the enforcement of things.
00:14:59.680 And sad to say, particularly from the police, why is that?
00:15:04.140 Honestly, the world looks at that with shock, even in, you know, in America, we're looking and going just really shocked at what's going on.
00:15:15.280 You know, the Garcia Moreno documentary we mentioned, one statement he made is, without justice, there is no freedom.
00:15:23.740 And so, I think what we're seeing is our system is breaking down.
00:15:29.500 When we used to be able to rely on the justice system, now it seems like laws are being passed, unlegislated laws, during this state of emergency.
00:15:41.620 And sometimes, in the middle of the night, this government has a majority government, so they easily push their laws to the lower house.
00:15:50.420 And then, where the opposition should be presenting opposition, it's like they're both painted with the same brush now.
00:15:57.460 And so, things are changing.
00:15:59.480 And this court hearing is important in that we have no way of knowing if the loopholes that used to exist have been eradicated.
00:16:08.460 It's done so quickly, and without our knowledge.
00:16:13.760 This is why it's so important to have that support.
00:16:19.300 We're really looking for God's intervention here.
00:16:21.860 Yeah.
00:16:22.300 Because it's such a broken system.
00:16:25.180 Even though she's got fantastic lawyers, it's still, there's no way of knowing which way this is going to go.
00:16:31.300 And it is certainly going to highlight what rights we have left.
00:16:34.440 Your daughter is standing up for the whole country.
00:16:36.920 The democracy in Australia, freedom in Australia, patient rights in Australia, the right to a conscience in Australia, in some ways, is hanging on your daughter right now.
00:16:51.000 And, you know, given her courage, her faith, and just the way she's so beautifully standing up for all these ideals,
00:17:01.620 it's, I don't think Australia could have a better champion at this time.
00:17:05.260 John and Liz, I want to thank you so much for being with us on this episode of the John Henry Weston Show.
00:17:09.600 May God be as soon.
00:17:10.380 Please be assured of our prayers for Monica and for all of you.
00:17:14.120 Thank you very much.
00:17:15.120 And I just wanted to say to the American people, we've had a lot of interest from America giving us prayers,
00:17:21.660 and even a lot of people contacting us that she met while she was on pilgrimage, saying messages for her and all that.
00:17:29.000 So we really appreciate it.
00:17:30.460 Thank you.
00:17:31.060 And may God bless you, and we'll see you next time.
00:17:33.920 We'll see you next time.
00:18:03.920 They are attempting to suppress any narrative that does not fit that of the mainstream media.
00:18:10.380 We knew this day would come.
00:18:13.140 We have been warning everyone who would listen and attempting to build up alternative platforms to continue to reach you.
00:18:20.880 We have established ourselves on all sorts of platforms I'm going to explain in a minute,
00:18:25.220 but the most important thing to do is come direct to LifeSiteNews.com, because there we will always be.
00:18:32.100 But we've also established ourselves on platforms like Parler and MeWe, and our videos can be found on Rumble as well.
00:18:40.000 We would love to see each of you on those platforms too, as they are not censoring or suppressing the truth that we are sharing every single day.

00:18:55.840 We have really built up a large list of loyal readers on our email marketing platform,
00:19:00.800 and we have prepared several backup plans for, well, I want to say if, but it's really when, we are removed from our current platform as well.
00:19:11.460 Additionally, I really encourage you, as I said before, to make it a regular habit to go directly to LifeSiteNews.com.
00:19:18.840 Make it your homepage.
00:19:20.880 While all of these different platforms are an excellent way to curate your news,
00:19:25.960 going directly to our website means that you will never encounter any censorship or sudden loss of LifeSiteNews reporting.
00:19:33.540 Here's the thing.
00:19:34.980 We will never stop sharing the truth.

00:20:13.600 I'm John Henry Weston, co-founder and editor-in-chief of LifeSiteNews.
