Is it true that Ivermectin and HCQ are abortion-tainted just like COVID jabs？

In recent weeks, we ve seen a list circulating among Catholics of medical products that are supposedly tainted by the evil of abortion, just like these so-called "abortion-tainted vaccines." This list includes various everyday medicines, and also includes ibuprofen and hydroxychloroquine. But is there a link between these products and those developed using aborted fetal cells? And if so, what are we to make of this?

00:00:39.180 the fetal cell line HEK-293, which was derived from the abortion of a baby girl in 1973.
00:00:47.960 This list includes various everyday medicines and also includes ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine.

00:02:16.660 therapies that have actually led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of vaccine recipients.
00:02:23.160 Let's leave aside the Great Reset, the vaccine passports, and all of this stuff.
00:02:28.100 Let's just focus on this one claim that ivermectin and various everyday medicines make use of aborted
00:02:34.840 fetal cells in the same way as these so-called COVID vaccines.
00:02:39.180 It is obvious that the compilers of this list are trying to do just this, trying to say
00:02:46.860 you accept these medicines, these everyday medicines, and yet you are making a fuss about
00:02:53.540 the vaccines, the COVID vaccines, and therefore we are somehow hypocrites.
00:02:58.840 Well, let's look at the evidence presented in this list for these claims.
00:03:03.960 So first of all, we'll deal with ibuprofen. Perhaps the most shocking claim on the list is
00:03:10.560 that HEK-293 cells were used in the production of ibuprofen, a widely used painkiller discovered
00:03:18.120 in 1961. But is this true? Well, let's take a quick look at the study which is cited in this list.
00:03:26.760 This 2018 study is called, quote, the effect of aspirin and ibuprofen on the proliferation of cervical cancer cells
00:03:36.540 compared to non-cancerous cells, HEK-293, in cell culture medium, end quote.
00:03:43.520 What a mouthful. But let's break this down.
00:03:46.140 This is a study by an academic working in Hungary and Iran.
00:03:50.980 This academic was researching the effects of aspirin and ibuprofen on two types of cells,
00:03:56.860 cervical cancer cells and HEK-293 fetal cells.
00:04:01.360 We're not given a specific page number, so you and I, non-medical professionals,
00:04:06.960 were just expected to believe that a 10-page academic study with an irrelevant title
00:04:11.980 and seemingly behind a paywall is all about proving that ibuprofen was produced with aborted fetal cells.
00:04:18.760 All of it? Well, I'm sorry, but this makes no sense.
00:04:23.900 Without a proper quote, a proper page reference, or something more specific,
00:04:27.440 I see no reason to think anything other than this study is about treatments for cervical cancer,
00:04:33.680 not ibuprofen.
00:04:35.260 And even if it was about testing ibuprofen with fetal cells,
00:04:39.500 perhaps because some independent scientists somewhere were speculating on a link between it and cancer,
00:04:45.380 how does this compare to preparatory tests necessary to bring a drug to market?
00:04:53.460 Anyway, remember that ibuprofen was discovered in 1961.
00:04:57.840 How could it have been developed using fetal cells from an abortion in 1973?
00:05:03.940 Or be tainted by such independent research in 2018?
00:05:08.380 So our position of conscience is based on whether the drugs in question were developed using cells derived from abortions.
00:05:18.160 It is not based on whether random teams of scientists decades later decide
00:05:23.100 that they want to do immoral tests using these medications.
00:05:27.260 In the case of development or preparatory tests,
00:05:30.860 the medicine might not exist without the immoral use of these cells,
00:05:34.820 and that's the point.
00:05:37.360 But if other scientists independently do this sort of research years later,
00:05:41.420 this is totally different.
00:05:43.560 This is a gross misunderstanding of our position,
00:05:46.400 and it's a false parallel.
00:05:48.420 It's a failure of logic.
00:05:51.260 Well, okay, you might say,
00:05:52.980 they included one bad reference,
00:05:55.040 but the rest of the list still stands.
00:05:57.260 Well, let's see.
00:05:59.560 Penicillin was discovered in 1928
00:06:02.100 and is one of the most common antibiotics.
00:06:05.120 And this too appears on the list.
00:06:08.060 And you might be asking yourself again,
00:06:09.640 how could a medicine discovered in 1928
00:06:12.100 have used HEK-293 cells from an abortion in 1973?
00:06:17.820 Well, that's a good question.
00:06:19.200 But perhaps there's an answer.
00:06:20.960 Perhaps it's made differently today.
00:06:22.880 Perhaps, you know,
00:06:24.180 let's see what evidence were given for this.
00:06:26.760 The 2017 study provided here,
00:06:29.520 conducted by the American Heart Association,
00:06:31.500 investigates whether penicillin
00:06:33.280 causes risk of sudden heart problems
00:06:35.400 and cardiac death.
00:06:37.060 This study did indeed use fetal cells.
00:06:39.980 But again,
00:06:40.840 what do tests done in 2017
00:06:43.140 have to do with a medicine
00:06:45.060 which has been around for decades
00:06:46.960 and which was developed
00:06:48.360 long before HEK-293 even existed?
00:06:52.500 Remember, the claim here
00:06:53.880 is that the fetal cells were used
00:06:55.780 in the development
00:06:57.060 of the examples given.
00:06:59.520 So the list gives another study
00:07:03.000 regarding antibiotics.
00:07:04.860 Let's see what that says.

00:07:08.480 as evidence that amoxicillin
00:07:10.860 discovered in 1958
00:07:12.160 used HEK-293 cells in its development.
00:07:15.640 Well, there's the same problem again

00:07:18.780 In fact, the article is about
00:07:20.900 developing aluminum membranes
00:07:23.220 for the delivery of various medicines.
00:07:25.400 It does not mention HEK-293
00:07:27.680 with regard to the production
00:07:30.860 of penicillin at all.
00:07:32.880 It does mention HEK-293
00:07:35.420 five times in the article,
00:07:37.040 but not in any context
00:07:39.200 that would suggest
00:07:40.240 that it was used
00:07:41.100 to develop this antibiotic.

00:07:44.840 about amoxicillin.
00:07:47.220 It's just one of the medicines
00:07:48.600 used to test these membranes.

00:09:42.500 from 1973.
