00:05:08.960 myself and many, many other,
00:05:11.660 or thousands of police officers, firemen,
00:05:14.320 all sorts of civil servants,
00:05:15.300 and private workers were mandated
00:05:17.060 to get a moral experimental serum
00:05:22.260 for the COVID outbreak.
00:05:25.880 And myself and many others refused to get it,
00:05:29.220 first of all,
00:05:29.900 based upon our sincerely held moral objection,
00:05:34.220 our sincerely held religious beliefs.
00:05:36.500 and it was something where
00:05:40.620 that was not respected at all.
00:05:43.280 We were able to submit religious exemption letters,
00:05:46.840 which were very difficult to come by
00:05:48.820 because there was basically a ban
00:05:53.480 of priests being able to write these
00:05:56.220 for their parishioners.
00:05:57.740 So, there was almost a black market
00:05:59.860 of trying to get these in and of itself.
00:06:02.000 So, I did submit a religious exemption,
00:06:04.900 which is summarily denied in August of 2020,
00:06:07.900 and was given the option
00:06:10.180 to go on leave without pay,

00:06:18.100 which I had enough time in that I could retire,
00:06:19.960 which I took that option
00:06:20.960 and put my paperwork in the next day.

00:07:30.580 throughout North America.

00:07:34.720 many, many phone calls made.
00:07:37.440 Many didn't know where to go.
00:07:38.640 They couldn't get these letters
00:07:39.560 from priests.
00:07:41.200 So, I was put in contact
00:07:42.500 with a lot of these men.
00:07:44.120 And I learned a lot of their stories.

00:07:48.720 and weren't going to be able
00:07:49.700 to support their families.
00:07:51.260 Some laid out thousands of dollars
00:07:52.700 in attorney's fees
00:07:53.580 just to try to keep their jobs.

00:08:05.260 and hoped for the best.

00:08:19.100 for the wrong reasons.

00:08:22.480 he had lost his wife
00:08:24.260 to cancer in 2017.
00:08:27.400 He is a single father
00:08:29.160 of two daughters
00:08:30.720 and doesn't have much
00:08:32.340 of a support network.
00:08:33.460 He's living paycheck to paycheck.
00:08:34.780 He's sending both his daughters 0.89
00:08:35.680 to Catholic schools.
00:08:36.520 He's a very engaged,
00:08:39.100 devout Catholic man.
00:08:40.360 And he understands
00:08:41.560 the severity of cooperating
00:08:43.300 in evil,

00:08:49.220 his religious exemption,
00:08:50.960 but he still was
00:08:52.800 dead set against getting it.
