The John-Henry Westen Show - Only a false Christ would ban healthy unvaccinated people from churches

00:00:00.000 Come to me, all you that labor and are burdened, and I will refresh you, said the Lord, as recorded

00:00:05.760 in Matthew 11, 28.

00:00:07.220 Notice he did not say, come to me if you have been vaccinated.

00:00:12.240 He went even to the lepers.

00:00:15.060 And yet healthy people who don't want the abortion-tainted so-called vaccine are being

00:00:19.740 banned from churches by government and saddest by church leaders themselves.

00:00:25.100 There are definite lines being drawn in the proverbial sand.

00:00:28.740 And in general, with notable exceptions, these lines, they go along the lines of orthodoxy

00:00:36.220 versus modernist type of approaches to the faith.

00:00:39.580 This is the John Henry Weston Show.

00:00:41.480 Stay tuned.

00:00:58.740 Let's begin, as we always do, with the sign of the cross.

00:01:02.900 In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

00:01:06.720 Amen.

00:01:06.980 Last week, news spread across the world about a tiny Canadian Catholic diocese in eastern

00:01:14.060 Canada.

00:01:15.100 Archbishop Valéry Vienneux of Moncton, New Brunswick, decreed that anyone over the age of 12 who

00:01:21.800 attends a religious gathering in a church in his archdiocese must be doubly vaccinated.

00:01:26.460 So, in a letter to Catholics in Moncton, the archdiocese, Vienneux wrote, beginning, and

00:01:34.920 this is a quote from the letter, beginning Wednesday, September 22nd, at any gathering

00:01:39.400 inside our churches, rectories, or community centers under our supervision, those present

00:01:44.200 must be doubly vaccinated.

00:01:46.520 End quote.

00:01:46.800 The archbishop stipulated that such gatherings include religious celebrations, Sunday and

00:01:52.500 weekly masses, prayer meetings, baptisms, weddings, and funerals, confirmations, and

00:01:58.680 social gatherings, bingos, and card games.

00:02:02.120 So, Vienneux qualified that children under 12 are not required to take the jab in order

00:02:08.040 to participate because, he said, they cannot currently be vaccinated.

00:02:12.360 End quote.

00:02:12.640 Um, so, of course, Catholics normally have an obligation to attend Mass in person every

00:02:19.580 Sunday, and in Canada at Christmas and New Year's Day as well, unless, of course, they're

00:02:24.260 ill or caring for a sick child or physically impeded from traveling to get to Mass.

00:02:28.180 But not fulfilling that Sunday obligation is considered a serious sin, and participating

00:02:33.320 at Mass is considered central to the spiritual life of the faithful Catholic.

00:02:38.560 Even Catholics who have incurred excommunication and thus can't receive the sacraments.

00:02:42.640 are still encouraged to take part in Sunday worship.

00:02:45.080 That means all the pro-abortion politicians and others living in serious sin.

00:02:49.140 But those banned are the unvaccinated.

00:02:53.040 It's just unreal.

00:02:54.520 However, there was an amazing follow-up.

00:02:56.380 The bishop attempted, first of all, to excuse his banning of the unvaccinated Catholics from

00:03:02.020 Mass by recounting a meeting he had with the New Brunswick Minister of Health, Dorothy

00:03:06.800 Shepard.

00:03:07.300 And, you know, what's interesting about that, even though, yes, he's blaming it on

00:03:12.980 this meeting, there is no provincial mandate for proof of vaccination at religious gatherings.

00:03:18.180 So there is the, or was the, collusion or who knows what on the part of the bishop.

00:03:25.440 Vianneau did say that parents who can't come to their child's first reconciliation, that's

00:03:31.120 first confession, they would be barred unless they took the shot.

00:03:34.480 And that left many people wondering if the faithful would have actually been denied the

00:03:38.660 sacrament of penance or confession, unless they took the abortion-tainted jab.

00:03:43.500 Well, the story didn't end there, because days later, that same vaccine mandate in Moncton

00:03:48.780 was overturned.

00:03:49.920 It's not clear exactly why and what caused the walk-back, but I'm sure there was massive

00:03:56.920 pressure.

00:03:58.180 On September 24th, Archbishop Vianneau updated those guidelines that just went into effect

00:04:04.400 two days before, and the ban was partially rescinded.

00:04:07.360 The new measures, which were, by the way, agreed on by all four bishops of the province,

00:04:12.160 now state that, quote,

00:04:13.480 Now, according to the Moncton diocese, the change came about as a result of new directives

00:04:33.900 from the Minister of Health.

00:04:36.000 However, those guidelines also include the fact that children's catechesis must be done

00:04:44.060 by those who are fully jabbed.

00:04:45.920 And according to the statement, as well as any adults who wish to attend the classes, they

00:04:51.280 too must be fully vaccinated.

00:04:53.880 So, you know, okay, look, I'm going to say it.

00:04:57.160 But with such mandates, I would never allow my children to attend catechesis there anyway.

00:05:02.600 So, whatever.

00:05:04.520 But if I had to guess at the real cause of what happened in this reversal, I'd say that

00:05:10.760 the Bishop of St. John's, New Brunswick, who said from the outset that he would not be banning

00:05:15.800 non-vaccinated Catholics from Mass, is actually what caused the turnaround.

00:05:20.020 But that was only the latest manifestation of this insanity.

00:05:25.120 And you know what's interesting?

00:05:26.200 It does seem to line up along the lines of Orthodox versus Modernist Catholicism, at least

00:05:32.080 for the most part.

00:05:33.760 So, back in May, the ultra-modernist Cardinal Blaise Supich of Chicago announced that parishioners

00:05:39.540 can return to Mass unmasked, but only if they provide proof of vaccination.

00:05:45.860 And even before that, in March, Modernist Cardinal Sean O'Malley of Boston made the reception of

00:05:50.940 the COVID jab a necessary prerequisite to a lady participating in certain ministries at parishes 0.64

00:05:56.040 such as serving at the altar.

00:05:58.400 The Bishop of the Diocese of Patterson warned that priests who do not accept the abortion-tainted

00:06:03.720 COVID-19 injections could face removal from active ministry, though he shied away from actually

00:06:09.460 mandating the injections.

00:06:11.200 The letter from Bishop Kevin Sweeney stated, that was September 14th, and it stated that

00:06:19.560 the, it actually was horrible, it referred to the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross and

00:06:25.680 appeared to equate COVID-19 abortion-tainted, mind you, injections with, and I quote, the life-giving

00:06:31.900 power of the Holy Cross, end quote.

00:06:33.860 Absolutely sickening.

00:06:36.160 Well, LifeSite's David McClune provided a roundup of the stances of various U.S. bishops

00:06:41.520 on the question, and it was very consistent that left-leaning bishops were much more likely

00:06:46.820 to go with the vaccine mandates, while Orthodox-leaning bishops were more likely to be open to medical

00:06:52.200 freedom and freedom of conscience.

00:06:55.720 McClune reported that two left-leaning U.S. archbishops have refused to endorse religious

00:07:01.280 exemptions for parishioners who wish to forego the abortion-tainted jab.

00:07:05.300 Archbishop Paul D. Etienne of Seattle and Archbishop Nelson J. Perez of Philadelphia are

00:07:10.920 the two Catholic prelates to actively discourage parishioners from seeking exemptions to avoid

00:07:16.420 the ethically questionable COVID-19 jabs.

00:07:21.300 Earlier in August, New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan and L.A. Archbishop Jose Gomez instructed

00:07:26.740 clergy to refuse to sign exemption letters for parishioners based on the Pope's continued

00:07:30.860 support for the moral permissibility of the jabs. 0.99

00:07:35.380 But Cardinal Dolan was actually joined by Jose Gomez, the current president of the U.S. Catholic

00:07:41.520 Bishops' Conference, and also by that hugely left-leaning Bishop Robert McElroy of San Diego.

00:07:48.620 All three cited the Pope, the Holy See, as having given its approval to the use of the morally

00:07:55.640 questionable shots.

00:07:56.780 Now, going one step further, John Stowe of Lexington, Kentucky, who's probably the most left-leaning

00:08:04.400 or unorthodox or whatever modernist bishop in the United States, he's ordered that not only must

00:08:10.560 there be no endorsement from the diocese for vaccinating exemptions, but also that before

00:08:16.480 September 1st, all diocesan staff will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition

00:08:22.540 of their employment.

00:08:24.720 And this is really unbelievable from a left-leaning Marxist type of bishop.

00:08:29.940 But nonetheless, there you have it.

00:08:32.080 So in an August 17th letter, Bishop Stowe insisted that getting the jab, quote, is an urgent matter

00:08:38.780 of public health and safety.

00:08:40.440 And he said also that there is, quote, no religious exemption for Catholics to being vaccinated,

00:08:46.740 and Pope Francis has repeatedly called this a moral obligation, end quote.

00:08:50.480 Quote, Stowe actually made the claim that public health systems are overburdened by a crisis

00:08:55.880 caused primarily by those who refuse to protect themselves and others by getting vaccinated,

00:09:02.500 end quote.

00:09:03.300 Where these bishops think they have become medical experts is totally beyond me.

00:09:10.180 Nonetheless, there you have it.

00:09:11.560 So what we come to now is this very interesting difference between bishops on the left or modernist

00:09:20.120 and those who really find themselves to be orthodox, or at least partially so, or given to orthodoxy in the faith.

00:09:29.360 So the bishops of South Dakota and Colorado, also known for their conservatism,

00:09:34.260 as well as one bishop in Puerto Rico, have all given their support to those who have decided

00:09:39.240 against being injected with the abortion-tainted jabs. 0.72

00:09:43.520 Also, so South Dakota Bishop Donald DeGrood, he's from Sioux Falls,

00:09:48.480 and Bishop Peter Newick, I think it's pronounced, from Rapid City.

00:09:52.740 They both signed a letter in which they explained that, quote,

00:09:55.120 One may accept COVID-19 vaccines in good conscience if certain conditions are met,

00:10:00.240 but doing so is not a universal moral duty.

00:10:03.940 We echoed the Vatican, they said, which explained in a doctrinal note that

00:10:08.200 practical reason makes evident that vaccination is not, as a rule, a moral obligation, end quote.

00:10:14.740 The bishops of Colorado also took a similar position, noting that, quote,

00:10:18.800 Well-founded convictions inform the choice of many parishioners who forgo the potential life-threatening jabs.

00:10:27.560 They said, and I'll quote it for you,

00:10:29.280 In the case of the COVID-19 vaccine, we are convicted that the government should not impose

00:10:34.520 medical interventions on an individual or group of persons, end quote.

00:10:38.600 This led them to affirm that, quote,

00:10:41.080 There is no authoritative church teaching universally obliging Catholics to receive any vaccine.

00:10:46.940 An individual Catholic may invoke church teaching to refuse a vaccine

00:10:51.080 that used abortion-derived cell lines at any stage of the creation of the vaccine, end quote.

00:10:57.100 Also, the Orthodox-leaning National Catholic Bioethics Center

00:11:00.860 came out in support of freedom of conscience,

00:11:03.480 with the center's president, Joseph Meany, stating that, quote,

00:11:06.500 We do not approve of coercive pressure tactics or vaccine mandates,

00:11:10.660 particularly ones without generous medical, conscience, and religious mandates, exceptions.

00:11:15.720 The NCBC, National Catholic Bioethics Center,

00:11:18.660 has also produced a template letter for Catholics who object to vaccine mandates,

00:11:23.140 granting individuals an easy way to explain to employers

00:11:25.920 the principled religious basis on which a Catholic may determine

00:11:29.760 that he or she ought to refuse certain vaccines.

00:11:33.260 So really what stands out is the way the fight works.

00:11:38.740 The protests of those refusing to abandon their conscience rights will win the day in the end.

00:11:44.480 You know, pushing back really does make a difference.

00:11:49.440 We've got to do that.

00:11:51.160 You know, a very close friend of mine was threatened with removal from his job

00:11:57.820 for fighting the vaccines at his place of work.

00:12:02.720 And, you know, he was a very smart guy,

00:12:05.680 and he involved a lawyer, in fact, just a paralegal,

00:12:09.200 and sent a letter outlining his rights to his employer,

00:12:14.220 and he was immediately reinstated.

00:12:17.100 We've got to be able to fight back.

00:12:19.660 And speaking of fighting back,

00:12:21.340 I want to leave you with the words of the heroic Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano,

00:12:25.080 who addressed an anti-vaccine passport protest

00:12:28.760 in a square in Turin in Italy on Sunday.

00:12:32.360 Archbishop Vigano denounced the use of the pandemic by higher powers

00:12:37.780 to bring about the Great Reset.

00:12:39.780 The former apostolic nuncio to the United States

00:12:42.600 established the connection between the imposition of the Green Pass in Italy

00:12:46.840 and the establishment of the Great Reset.

00:12:49.120 And he's warned about this, of course, on many occasions.

00:12:52.560 But on Sunday, Vigano began by expressing his support

00:12:55.800 for the people gathered and also around the world

00:13:00.980 for people who are resisting the narrative of lies,

00:13:04.620 as he called it, from the mainstream media.

00:13:07.500 Archbishop Vigano then denounced the establishment

00:13:10.240 of the health dictatorship in which both laypeople and clerics have taken part.

00:13:14.940 He said, and I quote for you,

00:13:16.200 It is disconcerting to see how all political forces,

00:13:20.080 including the ones you might have expected to oppose

00:13:22.740 the establishment of this health dictatorship,

00:13:24.700 have become accomplices of an elite of criminal conspirators,

00:13:29.740 rulers, magistrates, police forces, doctors and scientists,

00:13:32.800 public and private officials, journalists,

00:13:34.600 but also bishops and priests and the Vatican leaders themselves.

00:13:39.220 End quote.

00:13:40.620 Archbishop Vigano continued, he said,

00:13:42.460 It is also necessary to go deeper,

00:13:44.680 that is, to recognize that what we see happening

00:13:47.020 corresponds to an inhuman project by forces

00:13:50.700 who hate not only the health of the body,

00:13:52.620 but also and above all the salvation of the soul.

00:13:56.120 The archbishop went on to attribute

00:13:59.960 the current demise of inhumanity

00:14:03.740 to the rejection or infidelity to God's commandments,

00:14:08.260 to the many sins of men,

00:14:10.600 especially the crime of abortion.

00:14:12.780 Let me quote it for you.

00:14:13.840 He said,

00:14:14.200 He said,

00:14:37.740 He said,

00:14:51.080 Divine providence is showing us what the world can become

00:14:54.560 when it abandons the lordship of Jesus Christ

00:14:57.860 and places itself under the slavery of Satan.

00:15:02.040 End quote.

00:15:03.140 The archbishop concluded his message

00:15:05.200 with inspiration from a former pope,

00:15:08.720 quoting the great John Paul II.

00:15:10.980 He said,

00:15:11.740 I would like to make my own the words of John Paul II,

00:15:14.460 who said at the beginning of his pontificate in 1978,

00:15:17.860 Open wide the doors to Christ.

00:15:20.500 Do not be afraid.

00:15:22.220 He concluded saying,

00:15:24.420 But above all,

00:15:25.080 I beg you,

00:15:25.880 I implore you,

00:15:27.440 let us return to live in the grace of God,

00:15:29.620 to frequent the sacraments,

00:15:31.060 to practice the virtues,

00:15:32.260 to be good Christians,

00:15:33.600 faithful to the promises of our baptism,

00:15:36.160 and authentic witnesses of Christ.

00:15:39.920 He ended his message

00:15:41.400 with inviting everyone to pray with him

00:15:45.000 the Lord's Prayer.

00:15:46.380 So let's you and I do that now.

00:15:48.060 In the name of the Father,

00:15:50.060 and of the Son,

00:15:51.140 and of the Holy Ghost.

00:15:52.400 Amen.

00:15:53.920 Our Father,

00:15:54.940 who art in heaven,

00:15:56.500 hallowed be thy name.

00:15:58.460 Thy kingdom come.

00:16:00.440 Thy will be done

00:16:01.540 on earth as it is in heaven.

00:16:04.600 Give us this day our daily bread.

00:16:07.460 Forgive us our trespasses

00:16:08.820 as we forgive those who trespass against us.

00:16:13.380 And lead us not into temptation,

00:16:15.520 but deliver us from evil.

00:16:19.180 Amen.

00:16:21.860 For LifeSite News,

00:16:23.080 this is John Henry Weston.

00:16:24.580 And may God bless you.

00:16:27.400 Hi, this is John Henry Weston,

00:16:29.040 the co-founder and editor-in-chief

00:16:35.580 that we're communicating clearly

00:16:39.680 Things are really heating up,

00:16:41.960 as I'm sure you can see.

00:16:43.040 Christians, conservatives, truth-tellers

00:16:45.600 are being targeted,

00:16:47.520 are being banned

00:16:48.380 from social media platforms

00:16:49.700 like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube,

00:16:51.580 and Instagram

00:16:52.380 at an alarmingly fast rate.

00:16:55.520 They are attempting to suppress

00:16:57.020 any narrative

00:16:58.140 that does not fit

00:16:59.180 that of the mainstream media.

00:17:01.100 We knew this day would come.

00:17:03.620 We have been warning everyone

00:17:05.300 who would listen

00:17:06.020 and attempting to build up

00:17:07.760 alternative platforms

00:17:08.980 to continue to reach you.

00:17:11.060 We have established ourselves

00:17:13.120 on all sorts of platforms

00:17:15.980 but the most important thing to do

00:17:17.440 is come direct

00:17:18.200 to LifeSiteNews.com

00:17:29.100 on Rumble as well.

00:17:30.760 We would love to see each of you

00:17:32.880 on those platforms too,

00:17:34.220 as they are not censoring

00:17:35.660 or suppressing the truth

00:17:36.960 that we are sharing

00:17:37.780 every single day.

00:17:39.140 More than these alternative

00:17:41.440 social media platforms,

00:17:42.780 we highly encourage you

00:17:44.100 to subscribe

00:17:44.820 to our email newsletter.

00:17:48.400 a large list of loyal readers

00:17:50.100 on our email marketing platform,

00:17:51.700 and we have prepared

00:17:53.140 several backup plans for,

00:17:55.720 well, I want to say if,

00:17:57.340 but it's really when,

00:17:58.700 we are removed

00:17:59.760 from our current platform as well.

00:18:02.200 Additionally,

00:18:03.120 I really encourage you,

00:18:04.480 as I said before,

00:18:05.480 to make it a regular habit

00:18:07.020 to go directly

00:18:08.100 to LifeSiteNews.com.

00:18:09.700 Make it your homepage.

00:18:11.740 While all of these

00:18:13.100 different platforms

00:18:13.880 are an excellent way

00:18:15.380 to curate your news,

00:18:16.880 going directly to our website

00:18:18.460 means that you will never

00:18:19.860 encounter any censorship

00:18:21.280 or sudden loss

00:18:22.620 of LifeSite News reporting.

00:18:24.320 Here's the thing.
