00:00:00.000 He got in the building, he went into one of the new rear exam rooms, poured gasoline all around,
00:00:07.580 lit the fire, and got out of the building. So you can see him running away from the building,
00:00:11.720 getting back into the truck, and driving away.
00:00:22.440 Anyway, friends, you're going to want to pay attention to this story. This is an unbelievable
00:00:26.720 story of ongoing persecution by the FBI. What you're going to hear is so stunning. And the fact
00:00:34.700 that it's happening in America to an American citizen who's now dead is unreal. Remember the
00:00:43.640 Mark Huck situation where the FBI went after Mark and his family and it was horrible? Yeah, he had
00:00:50.140 people representing him and coming to help him as he could at that time. Imagine if you didn't have
00:00:56.560 that. Imagine if the FBI went to you, did undercover stuff on you, blamed you for not going into the
00:01:06.620 Capitol on January 6th, just being at the rally itself, as if that were a really bad thing.
00:01:13.400 And then it looks like you're framed. Oh, and then by the way, you're arrested. Oh, but a little while
00:01:20.520 later, you just die in jail. No autopsy needed for that. Oh, no, no, no. All that coming up right up
00:01:27.560 with this interview with an investigator who's been writing for LifeSite on this named Jenny Hay.
00:01:35.140 You're definitely going to want to stay tuned for this one. Pope Pius XI said men must look for the
00:01:41.440 peace of Christ in the kingdom of Christ. And he urged that the faithful give public honor to Christ
00:01:47.460 the King so that individuals and states would submit once more to the rule of their Savior. And
00:01:52.820 that is why LifeSite News is raising up the image of Christ the King across the United States. And you
00:01:59.460 can help us reach millions more. Please pledge your support today for these billboards at
00:02:05.840 lifefunder.com slash Christ is King. Jenny, hey, welcome to the program. Nice to meet you,
00:02:12.700 John Henry. Thank you. Let's begin as we always do with the sign of the cross.
00:02:16.320 In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
00:02:22.340 So, Jenny, this is a very fascinating story. Why don't you start off, give us a little synopsis
00:02:27.820 of the story before we get into depth on it. Well, thank you very much for having me on the show.
00:02:32.900 This is a complex story. But I think once the whole story comes out, people will understand this is
00:02:39.360 really the true crime story of the century. Big picture, in Knoxville, Tennessee, we had a Planned
00:02:46.240 Parenthood burned to the ground on New Year's Eve 2021. So almost three years ago. It's happened
00:02:54.740 at 630 in the morning, the whole place burned down. The Planned Parenthood sits in a residential
00:03:00.800 neighborhood. None of the surrounding houses were damaged. And it came out very quickly that it was
00:03:06.160 an arson. It also came out very quickly that the fire was started inside the building. Whoever did
00:03:12.640 this got inside the building to start the fire. So I called up one of the editors at LifeSite News
00:03:18.320 and said, hey, I'm happy to cover this for you. At the time, the building was closed. It was under
00:03:23.440 construction. They were doing a $2 million renovation to double the space. An investigation ensued. I
00:03:30.460 periodically called the Knoxville Fire Department to say, hey, how's the investigation going? They
00:03:35.340 were responsible for the forensic aspect of the investigation. It was pretty rare that they had any
00:03:41.580 updates. But I called them every month or two and said, hey, how's it going? I called them in the summer
00:03:47.580 of 2022. And they said, yeah, we don't have any suspects. And then November 1st, All Saints Day 2022,
00:03:57.260 the FBI named a suspect. I had last talked to the Knoxville Fire Department in late September.
00:04:04.620 And they had told me then that they didn't have any suspects. So November 1st of that year,
00:04:09.420 the FBI named a suspect. And so I knew it was suspicious from the very start. So the accusations,
00:04:16.060 that wasn't the only accusation against this man's name was Mark Reno. And he was deceased at the time
00:04:21.340 that the FBI named him. So he had died August 15th, 2022. He died in prison. This was not the only
00:04:28.460 charge against him. They had accused him of that summer shooting at a federal building twice. They
00:04:35.500 accused him of this Planned Parenthood arson. There were other accusations. And so everybody assumed that
00:04:40.540 he really did it because of all these accusations. But as we started to dive into these accusations,
00:04:45.740 one by one, they were false. He didn't burn down the Planned Parenthood. He didn't shoot at a federal
00:04:50.940 building. And so that's where we are. The FBI named the wrong person for this arson. But it
00:04:57.260 definitely was an arson. Somebody on purpose burned this building down.
00:05:00.540 This is quite interesting. Now, the story, I guess, from the SBIs would be also that it is,
00:05:07.900 you know, it's intentional. But there was video involved. And that's one of the things that was
00:05:15.020 really fascinating. When they released video, you were able to say, wait a minute and find some
00:05:19.980 weird stuff about that. Tell us about that.
00:05:21.740 Sure. So Planned Parenthood security video captured the whole thing. And the Knoxville
00:05:27.340 Fire Department had that within days of the arson. We have an analogy to FOIA in Tennessee,
00:05:32.940 where you can request public records. So we requested records from the fire department.
00:05:37.340 And they turned over this video to us. And LifeSite News was very good to help us put it together
00:05:43.180 into a coherent story. Whenever you get security video, there's a lot of dead, a lot of dead time.
00:05:48.380 But you can see everything. You can see the arsonist arrive on the property. You can see his truck.
00:05:53.740 His truck had one headlight out. It was a red GMC Sierra, manufactured sometime in the mid 2000s.
00:06:02.940 You see him arrive on the property. At first, he parks away from the property and just walks around
00:06:09.980 the property. Everything is in silhouette. So you don't really get a good picture of him. But you can
00:06:16.540 see his size and shape. And he walks around the property. And then he pulls his truck up into the
00:06:24.620 alley behind the property. And you can see the truck. You can see the headlight out. He gets out of the
00:06:30.860 truck. He leaves the view of the camera. And we know from the Knoxville Fire Department's forensic
00:06:36.940 investigation that he entered the building at that point. And the only way he could get in was through
00:06:41.900 the window. So because it was under construction, the new doors were blocked with plywood. And the
00:06:50.380 doors from the original structure were all locked. Okay. But it was under construction and the windows were
00:06:57.180 only covered with plastic. And so the Knoxville Fire Department believed that's how he got into the
00:07:02.140 building. So he cut the plastic, got into the building, poured gasoline around. Now, this is not on the video.
00:07:08.700 So the video is only from outside the building. But we know from the Knoxville Fire Department
00:07:13.100 investigation, he got in the building, he went into one of the new rear exam rooms, poured gasoline
00:07:20.380 all around, lit the fire and got out of the building. So you can see him running away from the building,
00:07:25.500 getting back into the truck and driving away. The whole thing was captured on video. So that's how they
00:07:31.180 knew right away that it was an arson. You see the guy do it. You can see the explosion on the screen.
00:07:36.780 It's really quite dramatic. Well, in the meantime, I had been writing these articles all along for
00:07:44.140 LifeSite News each time we learned something significant. And Mark Reno's daughter got in
00:07:49.820 touch with me and she said, Hey, I'd like to meet with you. And she provided me with photographs that
00:07:55.260 we could put side by side with the arsonist captured by the video. And it's not the same person. This
00:08:00.780 arsonist was very thin, very tall, very lanky. He had to be pretty agile to get into these windows.
00:08:07.260 They were not floor level windows. They were up off the ground, probably four feet. And you look at
00:08:12.060 the profile picture of Mark Reno, who was much heavier than this guy. And it's just not the same
00:08:18.380 person. Nobody who looks at these two pictures side by side thinks it's the same person. And the Knoxville
00:08:23.740 fire department had dismissed him as a suspect. They thought, you know, he had, he had a similar
00:08:30.140 truck to the arsonist. They thought it might've been him. Then they dismissed him. So they knew it
00:08:34.860 wasn't him. Interesting. Then what did happen with how the fire started? In your opinion, what does the
00:08:41.900 evidence really point to? Well, it was arson. Somebody did it on purpose. You know, the fact is we don't
00:08:46.860 know. We have a good silhouette of the guy. Their Planned Parenthood had both motive and opportunity
00:08:53.820 to do this. You know, we don't have all the proof to make this accusation. I don't want to make
00:09:00.460 Basel's accusations, but they did have motive and opportunity. The motive was when this fire happened,
00:09:09.420 this was six months before the Dobbs decision. Now in Tennessee, we had already passed
00:09:16.860 a trigger law so that if Roe fell, this law would automatically go into effect and make abortion
00:09:24.060 illegal in Tennessee. So this was six months before the Dobbs decision, but everybody knew that this was
00:09:31.580 on the Supreme court's agenda. It was just a couple months before the leak. Okay. But even without the
00:09:38.220 leak, we were all very hopeful here. And it was not an unreasonable expectation that this was going to go
00:09:44.860 our way and that abortion was going to become illegal in Tennessee. And with an 8,000 square
00:09:52.060 foot space, the new addition we think was intended to provide surgical abortions. Up till that time,
00:09:58.940 they'd been providing chemical abortions. An 8,000 square foot place in a residential neighborhood
00:10:06.140 was going to be a business model that was unsustainable. And in fact, we had another abortion
00:10:10.860 clinic in Knoxville that went out of business as a result of the Dobbs decision just a couple months
00:10:15.820 after the decision fell. And so that was the motive. If there was any business model for Planned
00:10:24.060 Parenthood in Tennessee post Dobbs, it wasn't going to be for an 8,000 square foot place. So they
00:10:29.900 definitely had motive. They also had opportunity. They were the only one. I mean, how could anybody else get
00:10:36.540 inside the building? Whoever did this got inside the building to start the fire. When the firefighters
00:10:42.940 arrived on the scene, they couldn't get in the building. They had to break down the doors to get
00:10:47.900 in the building and fight the fire. So what happened then at Knoxville's March for Life in 2022? And how
00:10:54.940 does that figure into this story? We're about 20 days out from the fire. There were investigators at the
00:11:00.060 March for Life. There was an investigator for the Knoxville Fire Department posing among the people
00:11:07.500 participating in March for Life. And they honed in on Mark Reno because he drove a red pickup truck.
00:11:16.220 And a red pickup truck was captured in the video. So they honed in on Mark Reno. This investigator,
00:11:23.180 undercover agent at a pro-life event, struck up a conversation with him and started talking with
00:11:30.060 him. And he said that he belonged to Church Militant Resistance, which was the political action arm
00:11:37.260 of the now defunct media organization, Church Militant. And he said, you know, the neighborhood's
00:11:44.540 a lot better place now that that Planned Parenthood's gone. And he said some other derogatory things
00:11:50.460 about the federal government. The KFD agent reported all of this back to the FBI. And so they were
00:11:56.860 suspicious of him. That's what happened at the March for Life. What did happen to Mark Reno?
00:12:01.820 After that, there was another pro-life event, probably just a prayer vigil. It's not really
00:12:07.740 clear to me what it was, but there was another pro-life event near the Planned Parenthood property.
00:12:15.180 And Mark Reno was that at that as well. And this same undercover agent came to that event.
00:12:21.100 An unappreciated part of this story is that these undercover agents are showing up at right-to-life
00:12:26.460 events, checking people out.
00:12:27.660 And they pose as right-to-lifers.
00:12:30.380 Posing as right-to-lifers. Yeah.
00:12:32.060 Yeah.
00:12:32.540 So this guy's again at that, but this time he's wearing a wire. He's wearing a recording device,
00:12:38.460 audio video recording device. This was April 26, 2022.
00:12:43.340 He again engages Mark Reno in a conversation and records it directly to FBI equipment.
00:12:49.740 So he was a Knoxville fire department agent. We tried to get that recording under Tennessee law.
00:12:55.420 And they said, no, no, no, we never had it. We recorded directly to FBI equipment.
00:13:00.380 And so we have been unable to get that recording, but aspects of that recording have been reported
00:13:06.940 in FBI affidavits. So we have some idea. We got a snippet of that recording that was used at Mark
00:13:13.500 Reno's trial. So he said some, frankly, he said some dumb things. He told this undercover agent that
00:13:20.140 he had been at the protest at the Capitol on January 6th. That turned out to be very bad for him.
00:13:26.540 Um, um, so he said he participated in the January 6th protest. Uh, he was not a fan of the federal
00:13:33.660 government and made that clear. Um, uh, you know, he said things like, well, they're not going to arrest
00:13:39.660 me for being a January 6th. I'm going to take them out. Did he say he went into the Capitol or it's
00:13:44.940 just, he was at the, he did not say that. And in fact, one of the FBI affidavits said, uh, that they
00:13:53.180 reviewed the video and found no evidence that he went into the Capitol. So you can't even go to the
00:14:00.300 Trump rally. Uh, somehow that is wrong. Like that, that's what's so incredible about this. There's no
00:14:08.380 evidence of Ron doing yet that is used as a thing against him. Not, not one of the ones who even went
00:14:14.460 into the Capitol building. No, no, no, no, no, no. Just, he was just there. Yeah. He was just there.
00:14:19.580 Insane. And you know, if it had been for anything else, that would have been fine. Right. And all this
00:14:24.540 gets recorded to FBI equipment. Truth has a power of its own. It moves hearts
00:14:30.220 and saves lives. I'm pleased to announce the launch of the new LSN TV app, which can bring
00:14:36.540 all the LifeSite News' top video content direct to your phone, tablet, computer, and TV so that you
00:14:42.460 can bypass the sensors and keep fighting with us for life, faith, family, and freedom. Don't be alone
00:14:48.780 in the darkness. We've been canceled. Fight the cancellation. Download the app. So that's what
00:14:55.180 happened on April 26th. Now it's hard to tell this story because in fact, none of this has anything
00:15:03.660 to do with Margarito, but he was accused of all of these things. And so he's central to the story.
00:15:09.660 So they have this recording of him. They take the recording to a federal magistrate judge in Knoxville
00:15:16.140 and say, Hey, we need to, we need to surveil this guy. So shortly after that, they secured that
00:15:21.580 recording on April 26th, they started actively surveilling him. They got permission to put
00:15:27.100 tracking devices on his car. They, they start following him places. They have video of his cars.
00:15:36.460 Then something, this is where the story goes completely crazy. So now we're going to leave
00:15:41.420 the Planned Parenthood facility. We're going to go to another building in Knoxville. This is a federal
00:15:46.860 building. It's called the John J. Duncan building. It's named after one of our longtime representatives
00:15:52.460 in this district. On June 18th, 2022, there was a window broken on the Duncan federal building.
00:16:01.900 It's a federal building. So this was investigated by the federal protective service, which is an arm
00:16:08.140 of the department of Homeland security. So they investigated this broken window and no one thought this was a
00:16:15.180 shooting. Um, that the, the, there was an impact. You can see the point of impact. Um, we have, we have
00:16:22.140 the photographs of the window. There's a spider web out from that, but it was a double paned window.
00:16:27.340 And the second window wasn't broken. The, the inside window wasn't broken. There was no bullets,
00:16:32.700 no shells, no casings, no one heard gunshots. I mean, no one thought this was a shooting and the
00:16:37.500 investigator, uh, for the federal protective service, um, thought that maybe it was road
00:16:45.660 debris loosened by nearby construction. So across the street from where the window was broken, there
00:16:51.180 was construction. When they reviewed the security video, they saw that cars were driving up on the
00:16:57.660 curb to get around the construction. He said there, there was lots of debris around that could have been
00:17:03.420 loosened and put into motion. He said, maybe even it came from the construction across the street,
00:17:09.340 something was ejected and broke the window. Okay. So we have a broken window on the Duncan building.
00:17:14.300 Not a soul thinks it's a shooting. Okay. Two weeks later on July 3rd, we have three more
00:17:21.740 windows broken on the Duncan building. Again, no gunshots. No one calls the police, no bullets,
00:17:28.300 no casings, no bullet fragments, nothing. Uh, the window, the, the in, again, the inner pain of the
00:17:34.620 windows still intact. In fact, the window, the broken windows from July 3rd look virtually identical to
00:17:42.620 the broken window on June 18th. Okay. So we have broken windows two weeks apart, probably due to a
00:17:49.340 construction, uh, debris. On July 18th, the FBI arrests Mark Reno for shooting at these windows
00:17:59.500 when no one thought it was a shooting to start with. He's indicted by a grand jury, but the grand
00:18:04.780 jury was not given these reports from the federal protective service. This evidence was withheld from
00:18:11.500 them. Um, there was a detention hearing. These reports from the federal protective service were not
00:18:18.460 on the government's evidence list, uh, for the detention hearing. They played the record, the
00:18:23.820 April 26th recording, uh, where he sounds like someone who hates the federal government.
00:18:29.180 Mm-hmm. Which you're fully allowed to do, by the way, if that's completely legal and nothing wrong
00:18:34.540 with that at all. So he, he is detained. The judge orders him detained until trial. We don't think his
00:18:41.900 attorney even got these reports from the federal protective service. That's something we're looking into
00:18:46.620 right now. Okay. So, so that happened. He was arrested on July 18th. Detention hearing, I think
00:18:53.100 was July 26th. He's dead on August 15th. He's dead. He died in prison. The official cause of death was
00:19:02.220 that he bled to death from an ulcer, uh, but no one ordered an autopsy. He was in reasonably good health
00:19:09.580 when he was arrested. He's dead 28 days later and no one orders an autopsy. Wow. I'm, I'm just a little
00:19:19.500 bit stunned. I mean, how could they not order an autopsy when these circumstances are so strange?
00:19:25.260 So we asked that question of our representative, Tim Burchett, how could this happen? How could a January 6th,
00:19:31.260 someone who they were after him because of his participation at January 6th, that's really, I think,
00:19:38.380 why he was arrested. How could he just die in prison 28 days later and no one thinks this is worth
00:19:43.260 looking into? So the answer was that it's not required. The answer we got from our, our US
00:19:49.580 representative, he sent us the section of the protocol for US prisons that, that says ordering
00:19:56.140 an autopsy is entirely at the discretion of the warden really to protect the institution, not to protect
00:20:04.140 the people. Wow. And what about the family? Did the family not ask for that or anything like that?
00:20:09.020 They were in shock. Um, you know, when you have somebody accused of, of a crime like this, you just,
00:20:15.260 you almost don't know how to, how to respond. Uh, so no, they didn't ask for an autopsy. They should have,
00:20:23.020 and they wish they had now, but they didn't. Is there any kind of answer that the authorities have to give
00:20:29.180 for basically setting up a fella without giving the evidence and not letting even a jury hear the
00:20:37.900 evidence that they knew would have allowed this guy to go? Well, it's, it's very difficult as you
00:20:43.660 might imagine to get those answers. Um, we have an outstanding FOIA with the FBI. They have, uh,
00:20:49.580 stonewalled at every single term. We have an outstanding lawsuit against the FBI because of their failure to
00:20:55.660 adequately respond to our FOIA request for information. We've sent letters to the U S
00:21:03.020 district attorney for the Eastern district of Tennessee and gotten no response. So this was not
00:21:08.700 the end of the, the humiliation for Mark Reno and his family on all saints day, November 1st, 2022.
00:21:18.140 Uh, that's when the FBI and the department of justice after he's dead and him for the
00:21:24.460 Planned Parenthood arson. All this happens before. So just that timeline again is a lot of this happens
00:21:32.940 before the, the arson even takes place. Um, they never pin him to it. They never have him talking
00:21:40.060 about that. They don't even have him in at the Capitol building. They have him at the rally.
00:21:45.740 That's it. Then they'd have no evidence for these windows mashings for which he's taken in,
00:21:52.300 dies. And then they pin the thing on it. It's just, it is, it's stunning.
00:21:57.020 I think all the accusations against him were a psyop on the city of Knox Hill.
00:22:02.860 You know, we all, when the FBI can't comes out in a public press release and says,
00:22:10.540 he did this, he did this, he did this, he did this, where there's smoke, there's fire, right?
00:22:15.180 He had to have done at least one of these things. And, um, yeah, so we all believed
00:22:20.860 it until we started really looking into it. Let's go back to the Planned Parenthood for a second.
00:22:25.580 Um, what happened to them after the arson? Did they rebuild? Where are they at right now?
00:22:30.300 They rebuilt a much smaller facility that fits the business model now for Tennessee where abortions
00:22:37.260 are illegal. It's a, it's a much smaller building. I don't know, uh, the square footage. Um,
00:22:42.780 but they're actually going to open on Monday. They're going to reopen.
00:22:45.420 Wow. And what kind of payout did they get? Any, any, I don't know, but they were insured and
00:22:51.020 that was in the report from the Knoxville fire department. They thought that was important
00:22:56.540 enough to put in their report that they were insured by AXL insurance. Interesting. So what
00:23:03.260 about the family now? Um, you know, they, they've worked with you obviously on that piece, at least
00:23:09.900 providing pictures. They know that this was not their, their dad, this was not whom they're pinning it
00:23:15.100 on. What's their reaction right now? They're devastated, especially his wife. So the way,
00:23:22.620 the way the FBI made this accusation against him, since he's already dead, you can't haul him into
00:23:27.900 court. So they wrote, um, they wrote an affidavit for civil asset forfeiture, right? Uh, so the
00:23:37.180 affidavit was in support of a warrant for civil asset forfeiture. So that's how logistically they made
00:23:43.900 the accusation. They said, we need to go get his cars, uh, because we think he committed these
00:23:50.140 crimes. He has no ability to defend himself, right? So they go and after all of this, uh, late October,
00:23:58.380 they show up and they seize his widow's car. This is her only mode of transportation and publish her
00:24:05.660 address on the warrant. She sent, since had to move. She has something like PTSD, uh, because she
00:24:13.020 expects reporters showing up at her door. And, um, I mean, it's just, just the horror to have all of
00:24:21.660 this happen to you. And they moved to Tennessee to retire and enjoy the freedom of, of, you know,
00:24:27.580 what's a relatively free state in the United States and to have all of this rained down on you.
00:24:35.180 It's horrible.
00:24:35.900 The absolute viciousness of the FBI. It, uh, it reminds me, uh, in, in some small way of what
00:24:44.380 happened to, uh, Mark Houck when the FBI went after him and his small kids, and it didn't matter.
00:24:50.460 They didn't care. You know, here's another question for you. The, uh, local fire department guy who worked
00:24:56.780 with them, any, any follow-up with him, any, any remorse he might now feel because this is insane.
00:25:04.140 Yeah. No, not that I've heard of.
00:25:06.300 Where are things for you now, Jenny, with, with regard to this investigation? And do you intend,
00:25:11.100 what do you intend to do now? Is your lawsuit still going forward? Is it?
00:25:14.300 It is. Um, we have, we have a lawsuit against the FBI for records they haven't published.
00:25:20.220 Right. You accuse somebody after they're dead and you don't publish the records really.
00:25:25.580 So we're specifically trying to get this recording that was made on April 26th. We think that's
00:25:30.780 critical to understanding what happened, but really work. The lawsuit is for all records related to the
00:25:36.860 arson or Mark Reno. So that would include anything related to the accusation that he shot at a federal
00:25:43.020 building. Um, we have a couple outstanding FOIA requests. The potentially criminal thing here is that
00:25:49.660 they withheld, they were under a due process order and they withheld exculpatory evidence. Uh,
00:25:55.500 so we're checking into that further. The whole process is very slow. Here's the thing. The real
00:26:01.020 arsonist is actually still out there. They didn't, they didn't catch the real arsonist. The real arsonist
00:26:05.900 is still walking among us and the FBI doesn't care about that. We'd really like to get enough evidence
00:26:12.860 to go to the attorney general in the state of Tennessee and get a new arson investigation ordered.
00:26:18.220 Unbelievable. What, what can people do, uh, in this situation to help or to, uh, find out more
00:26:25.660 information? And if they have information, where, where can they go to, uh, to send it in?
00:26:30.700 Well, sure. They can contact me through my sub stack, uh, Knoxville nobility, but there's really not
00:26:37.100 a lot to do to help. You know, this story is so, so sad because there's nothing that can be done
00:26:45.500 except to tell the story and know it. There's nothing that can be done to help Anne Frank,
00:26:49.820 but it's still important to know what happened to her and to read her diary. And that's how I feel
00:26:54.460 about this story. I'd like to see all the people who did wrong come to justice. I don't know that
00:26:59.340 that's going to happen on this side of eternity. I want people to know the story. So if they want
00:27:03.900 to follow the story, um, on Knoxville nobility, my sub stack, that would be, that would be great.
00:27:09.660 Awesome. You can also definitely pray and pray for Mark, for his family,
00:27:15.500 for justice to, to come and, uh, for your great efforts, Jenny. You can follow Jenny Hay also at

00:27:30.780 God bless you and God bless all of you. And we'll see you next time.
