00:03:00.580 So, in November of 2019, that's going back five years now,

00:03:04.960 the woke Minister of Education here in Ontario ordered all school boards, Catholic school boards,

00:03:11.920 and public school boards, to add some new terms to their code of conduct policies,

00:03:18.120 and as protected grounds.

00:03:20.440 And these terms included the terms, quote,

00:03:23.780 gender identity and gender expression, end quote.

00:03:26.800 And as you know, these are the fundamentals of transgender ideology,

00:03:31.400 which the Catholic Church considers a grave sin.

00:03:34.540 It's not permissible to engage in a transgender lifestyle or to promote this lifestyle.

00:03:40.180 And Michael knew that embracing gender identity and gender expression as a protected ground in a faith-based Catholic school

00:03:46.360 would be disastrous to the faith.

00:03:48.440 It would mean that Catholic schools would have to allow a male teacher to show up in class,

00:03:54.280 in front of kids, wearing a dress, a woman's dress, lipstick, a lady's wig, high heels, you know, whatever.

00:04:03.400 Michael knew that it would mean that male students,

00:04:07.220 if they pretend to be the opposite sex, or they actually believe they're the opposite sex,

00:04:12.000 they're sexually confused, and they demand access to the girls' washrooms, change rooms, or showers at school,

00:04:19.380 So as a faithful Catholic, he knew this was contrary to the Catholic faith.

00:04:23.760 And since the majority of the 12-member Board of Trustees in Toronto

00:04:27.420 had already signaled in the weeks prior to this

00:04:31.000 that they intended to vote in favor of adding the transgender ideology terms,

00:04:36.100 despite many objections from their constituents,

00:04:38.200 he introduced a last-ditch motion before the vote, like an atomic bomb motion,

00:04:43.880 in an attempt to shake these trustees, the dissident trustees, out of their stupor,

00:04:49.540 and to help them understand and see with new eyes how totally against the faith a yes vote would be.

00:04:57.120 So what he did is he read out a facetious, tongue-in-cheek motion

00:05:00.740 to actually expand the list of protected grounds

00:05:04.120 to include even more sexual practices that the church considers sinful

00:05:08.900 than what the minister of education ordered or requested.

00:05:13.020 And, you know, I should point out that in Ontario, Catholic schools have an out.

00:05:17.100 They have a constitutional out.

00:05:18.340 They don't have to obey the minister of education.

00:05:21.400 But set that aside, maybe we can discuss that later.

00:05:23.920 But in any case, Mike's motion proposed adding bestiality, pedophilia, polygamy, necrophilia,

00:05:32.080 and other sexual fetishes as protected grounds, too.

00:05:35.320 And he basically said,

00:05:36.800 Hey, you're not being inclusive enough.

00:05:38.800 We've got to be more inclusive.

00:05:40.480 Let's protect even more of God's children.

00:05:48.760 And, you know, so echoing actually at one point in the board meeting before the vote,

00:05:59.940 and to concerned Catholic parents who were objecting to the addition of these transgender ideology.
