00:00:41.280 Well, you probably are wondering why we are releasing this bonus episode here.
00:00:46.540 And here's what happened.
00:00:47.680 We were sitting down to record the patron exclusive show we record with every main episode.
00:00:52.780 It's called After Hours and our patrons on Patreon get to listen to it each week where we discuss different issues, sometimes related to what we just recorded and sometimes just important things that are going on in the world and how we can apply some of the principles that we're unpacking in our show to the world that we live in.
00:01:09.140 And as we're recording, as you all know, we've got some earth-shaking historical events happening around the Supreme Court and Roe v. Wade.
00:01:18.440 And so we decided to sit down and talk through that in the after-hours show.
00:01:23.000 And by the time we were done, we realized, man, we've got to just put this out.
00:01:27.040 This is too important of a moment.
00:01:28.340 So thanks for listening in, everybody.
00:01:31.040 You can get more content like this at our Patreon link in the description.
00:01:35.080 But enjoy this episode.
00:01:39.140 welcome again to this episode of the king's hall after hours as always we have the two
00:01:48.340 legends the two kings dan and brian both on their phones as i'm speaking no no and eric i was
00:01:56.500 actually looking at a picture of you oh just on my phone get all fired up one eye looking at you
00:02:02.800 with the other eye and then you said two kings and i was like three three kings we three kings
00:02:07.700 of orient aren't
00:02:09.620 is that what it is
00:02:11.220 we really should smoke a cigar
00:02:13.620 oh we should we absolutely should
00:02:15.480 so gentlemen a lot of
00:02:16.500 big news speaking of kings
00:02:19.020 a lot of big news this week
00:02:20.600 we have and I'm reading from an 1819
00:02:23.540 news headline
00:02:24.780 leaked SCOTUS opinion shows
00:02:27.380 court's decision to overturn
00:02:28.960 Roe v. Wade so really was a huge
00:02:31.520 deal on a number of accounts
00:02:33.040 number one that we're in a position
00:02:35.360 and really I think what the article shows
00:02:37.260 and what a lot of people have said,
00:02:38.360 we're in the position where Roe v. Wade is going to be overturned.
00:02:41.060 Yep.
00:02:41.980 So I talked to some people, including lobbyists and lawyers this week,
00:02:45.500 some people who were boots on the ground in Washington, D.C.,
00:02:49.540 and pretty much everybody is unanimous.
00:02:52.120 This looks like it's going to happen.
00:02:53.800 Wow.
00:02:54.600 I'm not sure I saw that coming when it did.
00:02:59.380 One of the things, gentlemen, and we'll start to unpack this issue.
00:03:02.940 One of the things that immediately came to mind,
00:03:05.140 I was skeptical about this.
00:03:07.260 But you remember when people were saying, look, it's really important that we elect Donald Trump, we're going to get conservative Supreme Court justices. And a lot of people were, the never Trumpers in the Christian camp were saying, no, that's ridiculous. We should, it's not going to be worth it. You're selling your soul, blah, blah, blah. Actually, some of them, Karen Swallow Pryor still saying that now it wasn't worth it.
00:03:27.420 Wow.
00:03:28.220 But here we are, and factually, 100%, Dan,
00:03:33.240 those Supreme Court nominations are bringing about the downfall of Roe v. Wade.
00:03:39.000 Now, I want to mention one thing here.
00:03:41.080 I know I'm talking a lot.
00:03:42.200 I get really excited about this.
00:03:43.120 I like it.
00:03:43.780 Samuel Alito, who wrote the opinion for the decision.
00:03:48.940 This is what he says.
00:03:49.780 He says, Roe was egregiously wrong from the start.
00:03:53.340 Oh, get him.
00:03:54.920 Yeah.
00:03:55.100 Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences.
00:04:00.140 And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue,
00:04:04.380 Roe and Casey has inflamed debate and deepened division.
00:04:08.100 We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled.
00:04:10.800 It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people's elected representatives.
00:04:16.240 Wow.
00:04:17.060 So first of all, based, one other thing people don't realize what Alito did
00:04:20.360 is in a large portion of his opinion,
00:04:24.240 he cited previous things that John Roberts had said
00:04:27.200 when he was in the nomination process.
00:04:29.820 So he was basically saying,
00:04:31.300 hey, you need to keep your word.
00:04:32.920 Johnny Robb.
00:04:33.740 Yeah.
00:04:34.560 Because, you know, Roberts has been a huge disappointment.
00:04:37.420 Oh, my word.
00:04:38.160 Yeah.
00:04:38.560 He was a Bush appointee,
00:04:40.360 has gone left on a lot of these issues.
00:04:43.080 Was he a Burge?
00:04:43.980 Was he, didn't he, wasn't he the key voting on Burgeville?
00:04:46.840 Yes, he was.
00:04:48.680 So total sellout.
00:04:50.360 however bring that all to a question now after much talking i feel like brian doing an introduction
00:04:56.100 to a show oh it's you know what it's deserved when you got it brian you know you just got to
00:05:01.660 some people got it some people don't 10 minutes of the show is just i'm gonna i have i have about
00:05:07.300 15 minutes on the topic of how i've got it do you guys mind if i yeah just go for it but i do want
00:05:13.480 to ask in all seriousness dan just quick react uh what's your response yeah i'm absolutely shocked
00:05:19.680 i saw the article it was like politico was the one to break it i believe i see the tweet on my
00:05:25.780 phone it had been out for six minutes and i'm like that's fake nah that is fake and i open it up and
00:05:31.160 i'm like i don't think that's fake and so that's when i sent it over to you guys but i was absolutely
00:05:37.360 shocked because i was convinced that kavanaugh was also you know a lefty a secret lefty and
00:05:44.860 that amy coney coney barrett was also some sort of soft you know lefty amy coney based i guess
00:05:51.760 i guess because i i just thought that there was no way this was going to happen and the real
00:05:56.740 sleeper in all this clarence thomas clarence i'm sorry i can't say clarence without saying clarence
00:06:05.560 why because it sounds like such a nerd name yeah clarent man clarence
00:06:09.820 pour one out for clarence yeah exactly pour one out
00:06:14.500 for the project of this season to be successful the project of seeing a new christendom built
00:06:22.060 there will need to be thousands and thousands of christian men and women who are equipped to stand
00:06:26.700 for the truth of scripture against the errors of both the liberal church and the pagan culture
00:06:32.280 this is one reason we're so glad to be partnering with our sponsor for this season
00:06:36.400 Reformation Heritage Books. Reformation Heritage Books offers a large selection of helpful
00:06:41.640 and theologically rigorous resources on everything from biblical theology to history to blue-collar
00:06:48.720 family discipleship, the type of library and resources that could make the kind of men and
00:06:53.760 women I just described grounded in the rich heritage of the Reformed faith. We'd like to
00:06:58.720 highlight one resource in particular, their Family Worship Bible Guide, that presents rich devotional
00:07:04.500 thoughts on all 1,189 chapters of the Bible, including searching questions to promote
00:07:10.260 conversation and to help you in leading your family in such a way as to say with Joshua,
00:07:14.980 as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
00:07:17.920 Tap the link in the description of this episode to pick one up today.
00:07:23.640 So one of the other things that's interesting about all of this is the leak itself.
00:07:28.680 We talked to some, again, some lawyers and they said, really, the leak could have only
00:07:32.760 come from two places.
00:07:33.780 One would be a Supreme Court justice themselves, and the other would be a clerk, which is
00:07:39.560 a very high up position, by the way.
00:07:40.980 That sounds like a lackey, but it's not.
00:07:42.540 They're not the lackey.
00:07:43.460 In fact, a lot of the clerks was, from what I've heard, Ted Cruz has said this, a lot
00:07:47.340 of the clerks are doing most of the work and most of the writing.
00:07:49.920 Oh, yeah.
00:07:50.660 So it's a very prominent position.
00:07:53.100 They were like, I'm sorry, interns at Mark Driscoll's church, but continue.
00:07:57.300 That's right.
00:07:58.380 Ouch.
00:07:59.580 Ouch.
00:08:00.120 Sorry, Marky.
00:08:01.080 You need to get some interns.
00:08:02.460 We absolutely do.
00:08:03.780 Ben, he's not listening to this.
00:08:06.840 Okay.
00:08:07.540 So yeah, that becomes a real issue though.
00:08:10.360 Again, people have said this has actually never happened in US history
00:08:13.720 where a decision has been leaked beforehand.
00:08:16.240 Everybody I asked who knows, I said, why was it leaked?
00:08:19.440 Obviously to stir contention, to get people fired up.
00:08:23.060 They've had tons of people in Washington, DC, all fired up about it.
00:08:29.040 One of those people was my friend, AJ Hurley.
00:08:32.040 um i'll do some content of the hard man podcast with aj he was the one in the videos holding the
00:08:37.220 babies in washington dc wow narrating so he told me he said yeah we were in washington dc this week
00:08:44.000 for totally different reasons wow and he said i'm landing and i get off the plane
00:08:49.460 and i check my phone and i have like a hundred messages yeah yeah and it was like dude
00:08:54.680 is that why you went to washington he was like i had no idea didn't he get fired
00:08:59.900 as a nurse i believe he was a paramedic he got fired for not getting not getting vaxxed him and
00:09:05.420 his wife and that went fairly viral yes a video of him yep being absolutely a king chad walking
00:09:12.860 around the hotel lobby just like preaching to them like i've been working here for eight months
00:09:19.660 you know like oh that guy aj yeah we've had him on 1819 news aj is king energy all the way so he
00:09:27.540 He sends me this video on Twitter the other day, and he goes,
00:09:31.880 hey, did you see Elizabeth Warren speaking?
00:09:33.840 Oh, man, I did watch that.
00:09:35.580 Yeah.
00:09:36.140 And so, like, he sends me this clip on Twitter, and I'm looking,
00:09:39.740 and there's this dude in the back, and she's like,
00:09:42.000 we are here to defend women's rights.
00:09:43.540 And there's this dude, totally based.
00:09:45.460 He's like, we're not here to murder babies, Elizabeth.
00:09:47.840 That was him?
00:09:48.540 That was AJ.
00:09:49.340 No!
00:09:50.020 I've seen that clip now.
00:09:51.320 Yes.
00:09:51.760 Yes.
00:09:53.480 Based AJ.
00:09:54.140 We need to send him a Boniface t-shirt because that was a Boniface move.
00:10:24.140 thrive. So if you're a Christian business owner who wants to reach thousands of like-minded people
00:10:28.400 and grow your company, we'd love to partner with you. Email us at advertising at newchristendompress.com.
00:10:39.100 Yeah, it really was. And you know, one of the things he's talked about, we were talking about
00:10:42.700 for the Hardman podcast, but I think it would, there's a lot of content that fits here with
00:10:46.260 King's Hall as well. He said, listen, fundamentally, this is about men being patriarchs and men ruling
00:10:52.420 well and protecting the innocent in the womb. Yeah. What's so crazy about this is the number of
00:10:57.420 patriarchal quote unquote patriarchal men. You have men on the Supreme court who are voting
00:11:03.940 to abolish this abortion of a law. Now, one of the things I think is interesting,
00:11:11.260 and I want to get your take on this. It's really made me think, you know, I don't know what behind
00:11:16.520 the scenes, I don't know what's going on, but let's talk big Eva. Yeah. Big Eva has been
00:11:21.600 completely silent i'm ready they've completely pussed out the only one who spoke was karen
00:11:26.900 swallows prior and her stuff was bad kept her mouth shut yeah she should have kept her mouth
00:11:31.780 shut and always you have opened your mouth and removed all doubt yeah it's just been bad what's
00:11:38.860 interesting though is the last six months the guy who has gotten bashed and bashed and bashed has
00:11:45.900 been mark driscoll and i've been following his twitter and his instagram yeah he's been king
00:11:52.180 energy on this has he really oh i mean he has just been ripping the abortion issue apart wow
00:11:58.620 just and i've been like you know i'm i'm glad to see that i guess yeah i mean but where's big evo
00:12:03.680 why somebody needs to call for a wellness check are they okay i'm not sure maybe that you know
00:12:09.700 what i bet they didn't get a life alert and they fell and they're there somewhere saying help i'm
00:12:14.360 falling and i can't get up i'm glad eric laughed because that was not funny that was hilarious
00:12:20.220 your wife that's hilarious i was just picturing the life alert lady yeah i see and then with like
00:12:26.480 russell moore's face we actually we actually went to church one time with a guy and i was like what
00:12:31.940 do you do and he's like uh i saw a life alert and i was like wait you mean like help and he was like
00:12:39.080 please don't he's like i've heard that joke so he's nice it sells itself honestly but but seriously
00:12:44.040 what do you think the issue with big eve is like why are they not commenting because
00:12:48.200 for years i mean think about the people russ moore super based on yeah for a number of years
00:12:56.480 on patriarchy oh yeah and on abortion that was his issue beth moore too back in 08 the moores
00:13:02.000 were we're we're hitting it in 08 you know this might not sound connected but in true brian fashion
00:13:08.020 let me let me bring bring a little bit of a you know lengthy disconnected rambling to this
00:13:15.420 conversation that's what are you ready you ready to get hurt again dan moves this mic away this
00:13:20.260 actually reminds me of a a contrast with another period in our history in the late 1850s if the
00:13:29.220 link is done lincoln douglas debates in illinois this series of debates that happened around
00:13:33.520 illinois i think in 1858 and uh this was the level of discourse in the mid-19th century in
00:13:40.580 american politics people would pack out theaters churches debate halls where these took place
00:13:48.080 between lincoln and another presidential candidate and they would sit there for like first session
00:13:55.280 four hours of debates that's a long debate where lincoln and douglas were from memory for the most
00:14:01.360 part, debating complex political ideas. And there's a whole lot of other issues with
00:14:06.380 Lincoln and some of the problems that we have today actually go back to this period. But
00:14:10.660 then they would take a break and they would come back. Some of these debates
00:14:13.560 would last for like seven hours with a break. Wow. And the level of political discourse was
00:14:20.880 high enough that these were average citizens in Illinois in the 1850s who not only were there,
00:14:28.160 they packed it out and they were following it and it they were thinking who am I going to vote for
00:14:33.500 well I'm going to listen to the way they answer these 15 questions I have today our elites those
00:14:40.660 were our elites in the 1850s which is ironic I just want to add it's ironic because we think
00:14:45.900 people back then were so stupid oh couldn't be further from the truth the the level of discourse
00:14:51.040 was high the average american citizen at that point who was a voter was incredibly involved
00:14:59.100 in understanding with far less information to be had so compare that to man twitter for example
00:15:05.440 yeah our leaders have been on twitter you got kamala harris um if if roe v wade is overturned
00:15:11.740 this will be destruction of human female rights and things and whatnot yeah well warren elizabeth
00:15:19.740 warren yeah i watched some of the videos of her walk stomping around i've never seen her look so
00:15:23.420 mad she's a great actor that's called a powwow by the way it is yeah she's your tribe i mean yeah
00:15:30.020 don't you have like some tribal discipline you know what i'm gonna go actually like a rain dance
00:15:34.400 i think i'm gonna say gitchy gitchy dum-dum you are a big big dum-dum you know she's she's walking
00:15:41.560 around though and she's like they're just the shallow nature of the political discourse around
00:15:46.760 something like row is so demonstrative of the idiocracy that we live in like four books brave
00:15:55.800 new world that hideous strength animal farm in 1984 i think you read those four books and you
00:16:02.480 go which one are we the most like you're like oh probably brave new world yeah kind of a mix right
00:16:08.960 it's a mix for sure but this is this is interesting so dan this was uh one of the people who was
00:16:14.880 active when this first came out i don't even know who this is so amanda duarte who has a blue check
00:16:20.900 mark oh she's a blue check mark she only has like so you know you can trust her yeah she only has
00:16:26.140 like she has less followers than i do yeah journalists can get a blue check if they have
00:16:30.740 like 50 followers yeah so she she this is an old tweet but she's had ones very similar and in her
00:16:36.300 she took her account down because she was getting destroyed but she said this she said i almost want
00:16:41.860 to get pregnant with trump's baby and let it go to full term so i can rip it halfway out and cut
00:16:46.280 its bleeping head off there what yes no i read that tweet when you because you repost i think
00:16:52.640 you reposted it was yeah yeah and i was like when unbelievable so the the tweet her tweet the
00:16:58.940 original tweet is from 2016 but people were retweeting it because she had said similar
00:17:04.760 things this week and then taking them down she you know she was like this is all about white
00:17:09.080 racism and blah blah blah yeah and then like daryl harrison was one that commented and he said
00:17:13.440 actually most of the abortion clinics are in black neighborhoods care to comment boom she took her
00:17:17.740 account down oh he took her whole account i don't know if it was daryl but it was that day we'll just
00:17:22.520 pretend let's pretend it was daryl it was that day daryl she took it down she put it back on she said
00:17:27.080 i'm really sorry what i said sounded racist oh yeah i saw that i didn't know it was the same woman
00:17:31.840 and then she took it down again no yeah because i think because this one was going around and sort
00:17:37.800 of blowing up so what i said you know really pleasant really pleasant people that we're
00:17:42.560 talking to here seriously but when you so my friend aj we did a live video of him at the
00:17:49.780 supreme court steps and people are just trying to get on his phone and like screaming profanities
00:17:55.420 and i mean the level of lewdness and disgusting behavior from humans yeah i think what people
00:18:02.240 don't understand is maybe they do understand it maybe this is the problem this stuff gets ugly
00:18:08.980 you have people who are actually celebrating the number of abortions they've had oh yeah i've had
00:18:14.060 15 abortions yeah brian i do have a question for you because i think the assumption from most
00:18:18.980 conservatives even christians is that the standard demographic you know stereotypical lady that's
00:18:26.620 going to an abortion clinic to have to murder her child is usually going there in tears she
00:18:34.140 doesn't want to do it but she doesn't feel like she has any other options yeah has that been your
00:18:39.060 experience ministering outside of Planned Parenthood it has been neither my experience
00:18:43.580 nor is it supported by the data 0.001 percent of abortions are performed because of incest
00:18:51.200 that is one thousandth of one percent so fewer than one percent overall are performed for any
00:18:58.180 reason beyond the elective choice of the mother literally i have no reason i just want abortion
00:19:03.660 or uh health of the mother which isn't like six percent it's like 92 percent elective six point
00:19:11.520 something percent um health of the mother which includes that that's why i brought up i think
00:19:16.380 either in this one or last after hours, the, uh, oh, but my emotional health now gets played into
00:19:21.440 that. So women who were like, I don't know if I can afford a baby. That's an emotional health
00:19:24.800 reason. Check the tech, check the box. So people have this idea in their head of like the 14 year
00:19:29.940 old girl being driven to the abortion clinic by the sympathetic father after she's been raped.
00:19:36.280 And it's like, no, most women in abortion clinics that we've talked to are openly gloating,
00:19:43.440 hostile i'm gonna kill this baby like they know you f you you know they're yeah they know what
00:19:50.880 they're doing most of them most liberals today don't argue like liberals did in the early 2000s
00:19:56.220 or 90s like no it's not really a human life it's just a clump of cells they don't really argue that
00:20:00.800 way anymore because the medical technology has made that argument virtually impossible
00:20:05.700 so now they just say openly yeah it's a baby and i'm killing it yeah what are you gonna do
00:20:11.240 there's a incredible amount of well yeah it's just human depravity um judgment being reflected
00:20:18.300 in the culture one of the other things dan that i noticed was the way people are willing to lie
00:20:23.900 so i have a couple uh of threads here one is from eric swalwell uh representative eric swalwell
00:20:30.760 uh he is the one by the way who uh was caught with a sleeping with a chinese spy really yeah
00:20:38.040 For sure.
00:20:38.660 Like it's common knowledge.
00:20:40.440 So he was actually,
00:20:41.780 yeah,
00:20:41.940 he had a longstanding relationship.
00:20:43.720 Wow.
00:20:43.860 Yeah.
00:20:44.280 And then they're like,
00:20:44.880 oh,
00:20:45.040 that woman was a Chinese spy.
00:20:46.580 She was a Chinese spy.
00:20:47.560 Well,
00:20:47.740 he's still a representative,
00:20:49.100 but he said the Republicans won't stop with banning abortion.
00:20:52.020 Next up on their agenda,
00:20:53.520 banning interracial marriage.
00:20:56.060 Do you want to see that in America?
00:20:57.860 Then you should probably vote.
00:20:59.380 Well,
00:20:59.520 first of all,
00:20:59.960 no one's voting on the Supreme court decision.
00:21:02.180 Number one.
00:21:03.100 Number one.
00:21:04.020 Who are we electing,
00:21:05.220 Brian?
00:21:05.560 Yeah.
00:21:06.240 Jeez.
00:21:06.860 But second,
00:21:07.220 could you please point me chapter and verse
00:21:09.600 which Republican is trying to ban
00:21:11.560 interracial marriage
00:21:13.340 probably the closest one was
00:21:15.620 based on some of the stuff I know he said on
00:21:17.560 camera over the years is
00:21:19.600 probably Joe Biden
00:21:20.320 oh you meant Republican
00:21:23.500 I'm sorry yeah so we got
00:21:25.560 another one Dan this is
00:21:26.960 Representative Val Demings
00:21:29.020 and she says as a woman of faith
00:21:31.780 I believe in the dignity and
00:21:33.560 worth of every person that's why I
00:21:35.520 will always defend a woman's right to choose her own destiny slash to this is me to murder her own
00:21:42.360 children so i'm confused as a woman of faith i believe in the dignity and worth of every person
00:21:47.660 which is why i support murder in the womb yeah well i think that through our our two-part
00:21:53.160 conversation that we had on on the podcast you'll see that because of these ideologies from these
00:22:00.480 big brain galaxy brain intellectuals that have essentially poisoned the well the intellectual
00:22:05.880 well these people don't have to deny that there's a baby inside them that they're killing yeah but
00:22:12.100 what they do deny is their personhood that they're actually a person because they haven't had
00:22:17.620 experiences or the emotional yeah you know the emotional experiences they haven't been able to
00:22:22.500 self-identify at that point that's why infanticide i think will continue to be even even roe wade
00:22:28.980 is overturned it gets pushed to the states i think you see places like california and some other far
00:22:35.240 left places illinois east coast move towards infanticide because children have not identified
00:22:43.800 themselves yet is in one reason they haven't self-identified i i know that sounds ridiculous
00:22:50.040 yeah but just wait for i think that's probably what's next uh because they have even uh there
00:22:56.080 was an article that my wife had sent me about naming a child it was this couple trying to name
00:22:59.880 a child and their naming their whole strategy and naming was to to make sure it was gender neutral
00:23:05.220 to give their child space to make sure that you know if they wanted to change their their gender
00:23:11.460 or whatever their sex later that they could do that and that they were going to encourage their
00:23:16.640 child in that way and so this ability to self-define is part of what makes them a person
00:23:23.680 in their mind. I don't know. This is probably getting beyond my area of expertise.
00:23:29.200 You're right. That inner psychological self-expression, like as the most important
00:23:34.020 aspect of you, not the objective realities about like for a Christian, the most important thing
00:23:39.420 to me about me is that I am a son of God. I am objectively adopted by the father.
00:23:48.280 I belong to christ. He's my lord. These are my people that he's given me
00:23:53.760 My children are my children. I'm in these objective relationships that have nothing to do with how I feel
00:23:59.380 from one moment to the other
00:24:01.020 and
00:24:01.980 What the pagan does is they absolutize their inner psychological experience
00:24:07.380 As the most important feature of themselves. So they're always shifting and changing
00:24:12.880 and they they
00:24:14.580 they do they look at something like a baby and they say how could that baby be important it
00:24:20.820 obviously doesn't have deep psychological inner self-awareness yet you know it's like the
00:24:26.740 arguments for well abortion up till sentence sentience these kind of things so just arbitrarily
00:24:32.200 you know absolutizing one aspect of human nature as like the thing that makes you a person that
00:24:38.020 what's the logical conclusion of this stuff though is that we should absolutely be killing
00:24:42.540 the mentally retarded. We should absolutely be killing all sorts of other people who are,
00:24:47.720 you know, equally have undesirables where a Christian says, no, that's a, that is a human
00:24:53.360 made in the image of God, whether they can think the same way or not, we have a category for sin
00:24:59.160 corrupting the physicality of a human being, but it's just madness. It's demonic madness.
00:25:03.660 You know, and it's easy to laugh at these tweets because they are just absolutely asinine. I mean,
00:25:08.440 they're absurd right but there was one tweet thread that i thought was really interesting
00:25:12.560 it was from a liberal that was very concerned because he noted in justice alito's comments
00:25:18.040 he noticeably left out any rulings that were surrounding the lgbtq arena they know next his
00:25:27.540 line of reasoning uh of essentially you know this wasn't a precedent until modern times and so if we
00:25:36.440 look back, this obviously would not have been passed, you know, through most of U.S. constitutional
00:25:41.460 history. And he said, this is really dangerous because it looks like they're going to tee up
00:25:46.680 Obergefell next. Yeah. And the interesting thing is, again, talking to some people in
00:25:51.540 judges and lawyers on this issue on the conservative side, they felt like it was
00:25:57.060 framed specifically like Brian was saying earlier about principles. They framed it by principle
00:26:02.860 really well it's sort of like reading john owen on the death of death and the death of christ it's
00:26:07.420 a little bit of an unassailable argument yeah and uh so i asked those guys i said do you think
00:26:12.140 obergfell's next and they said there's no question because if and what alito argued he said when the
00:26:19.820 constitution was written there is no way that they were that they had abortion in mind when they wrote
00:26:25.460 that yeah there's no way or excuse me the 14th amendment is what he was referring specifically
00:26:30.640 too so if that's not right to privacy yes if that's not there gay rights quote unquote yeah
00:26:36.560 certainly not there i do think it's next on the chopping block so i got a question for you guys
00:26:40.980 help me through this because i'm looking at this one of the reasons that this surprised me is i'm
00:26:45.140 like okay so the culture they love killing babies 60 million plus babies have been murdered
00:26:51.920 by this people the christian church is noticeably absent in all of these arenas we wouldn't have
00:26:58.840 this podcast if the church was being faithful in their areas of responsibility yeah this would be
00:27:05.180 like oh i go to church on sunday i don't need to listen to this podcast why why would god
00:27:13.480 allow for this to happen to be merciful to stop the shedding of innocent blood the possibility
00:27:21.800 of this gay mirage
00:27:24.140 being ended, why
00:27:25.980 the tide turn? Why not
00:27:27.960 judgment? Like, absolute
00:27:29.940 judgment. Why?
00:27:32.220 Yeah, so I have a couple thoughts
00:27:34.040 on it. Number
00:27:35.920 one, it
00:27:38.080 shows in many ways just the sheer
00:27:39.780 mercy of God. Absolutely.
00:27:42.100 I mean, even in
00:27:44.020 judging the pagans, he does not give us
00:27:46.040 what we deserve. Yeah.
00:27:48.220 So that's one thing to be so
00:27:49.980 deeply grateful for.
00:27:51.800 I think the flip side of it is something that I was listening to Jason Whitlock
00:27:56.840 and Delano Squires about this on Jason Whitlock's show on The Blaze.
00:28:02.640 This was yesterday.
00:28:04.920 And they know, they're smart.
00:28:07.020 But Jason said, he said, listen, this country divided once over abolition
00:28:13.940 and over states' rights.
00:28:16.440 And it was one of the, well, the bloodiest war in American history
00:28:20.080 on American soil, one of the bloodiest conflicts, I believe, to date.
00:28:23.200 Oh, yeah.
00:28:23.700 The American Civil War.
00:28:24.760 Yep.
00:28:25.520 And he asked Eleanor Squires, he said,
00:28:27.540 is this abolition movement going to lead to another civil war?
00:28:33.440 And it was a pretty somber moment, and Squires said,
00:28:36.400 I think it very well could.
00:28:38.580 Because I think what you've—
00:28:39.660 One of the questions, Roe v. Wade, when it happened,
00:28:42.020 when I was asking myself, this story broke,
00:28:44.580 did America all of a sudden grow a conscience?
00:28:48.060 No.
00:28:48.880 No.
00:28:49.080 did the church all of a sudden get really really bold no you just noted how noticeably absent so
00:28:54.580 that's what i'm getting at this could actually get worse for the country uh joe biden said this
00:28:59.560 this is yesterday if the court overturns row it will fall on our nation's elected officials at
00:29:04.840 all levels of government to protect a woman's right to choose it will fall on voters to elect
00:29:09.740 pro-choice officials this november number one it means joe biden is recognizing we lost
00:29:14.460 He's trying to keep his base somewhat hopeful. Yeah, about what can be done. They know they've lost
00:29:20.380 What I see in america is not two sides coming together
00:29:24.260 I think it's two sides being irrevocably separated because they have so
00:29:29.340 Different worldviews. Yeah, what do you think brian? Well
00:29:32.480 A couple things come to mind for me and that's I think that is insightful
00:29:37.000 Because I do think you're going to see two things happen and happen and they're happening not happen
00:29:42.520 They're happening. You're going to see incredible balkanization and tribalism and division begin to be more particularized in specific geographic locales on the state level. So you are going to see two Americas continue to form where you have, you know, the insane liberal America, and then you're going to see conservative reaction to that.
00:30:05.980 So what I mean is I think we're already seeing that, but we're going to see an insane response to the sheer radical nature of the discourse from the liberals lately, last couple of years.
00:30:17.560 I think you're starting to see and you will continue to see an insane upswell of conservative reaction to that, where the liberals are going in the near term to lose an incredible amount of ground.
00:30:28.940 Because they have taken a huge amount of ground in the last 15 years.
00:30:32.820 I think they're about to lose a lot of it for a time
00:30:36.200 I think that's one thing
00:30:37.980 But as I think about what god is doing in this
00:30:41.640 Well, I look at the canaanites and god saying
00:30:45.340 Well, I put you in slavery in egypt israel
00:30:49.000 For 400 years because the iniquity of the canaanites was not yet full
00:30:53.520 So it wasn't finished cooking. They weren't ready for his final full judgment yet
00:30:58.500 Total destruction. Yeah 400 years god gave him. We're not even 400 years old as a nation
00:31:02.800 but we are also in the new covenant and one of the things that makes the new covenant a better
00:31:10.720 covenant is that the gentiles are going to be saved i mean that was like the sine qua non of
00:31:18.020 the greatness of the new covenant is that it's going to spill out to all of the nations no longer
00:31:25.560 is god's work going to be um primarily frustrated among the gentiles but now every family of the
00:31:32.660 earth is going to be blessed and turned to the Lord, Psalm 22. So I think that what God might
00:31:40.440 do, and I think we should pray for this, is that God's mercy, God's new covenant mercy would just
00:31:48.420 overflow the banks and we would see massive Christian conversion in the West. Because those
00:31:56.760 who hate wisdom love death, and one thing God loves to do is to judge people by giving them
00:32:00.320 what they want. So what have the liberals gotten? They've gotten what they want. And what they've
00:32:04.120 gotten is barrenness and death, barrenness, death, and poverty. Honestly, we could, we could say
00:32:11.800 barrenness, death, poverty, and disease. That's what liberal, their worldview has led to. So
00:32:16.300 they're literally killing themselves. And I just wonder like, and maybe this is just way too
00:32:21.840 white pilled thinking right now, and this is not going to happen, but I would love to see,
00:32:26.580 Even if it's among that other America, a huge upswell in Christians, getting it, taking up the
00:32:33.060 sword and, um, you know, just revival of some sort, not revivalism, but authentic. And the
00:32:40.720 reason I say that is because the new covenant, this is what it does. It saves Gentiles and
00:32:47.620 it's God's power is being unleashed to conquer the world. So yeah, I tend to look at this time and
00:32:54.160 for whatever reason, I just keep seeing opportunity. Like I'm seeing the fields are
00:32:59.280 white for harvest. Yeah. Like this is the time to share your message. This is the time to be bold
00:33:04.080 and courageous. Um, that lady, I, you know, we were talking about earlier saying the wicked
00:33:08.820 things. Like I just went on there and just called her to repent. I saw that like, you know, you
00:33:14.120 people keep thinking, and this is what it saddens me, but you look at them and you're like, you guys
00:33:19.160 are living under such judgment. You're trying to earn a standard of righteousness. You'll never do
00:33:25.220 it. The culture wants you to be canceled. I love what you said there. Like, Hey, they're, your
00:33:30.100 tribe will never forgive you for this. If they think that you're actually a racist, Christ will
00:33:35.440 forgive you. Yeah. It's like, amen. Yeah. And so I just think in this moment, Dan, this is not the
00:33:41.920 time to like hole up in the closet and lock the doors. I really think this is a time to go out
00:33:46.800 into the marketplace and be preaching truth and full orbs you know it's not just judgment it's
00:33:52.760 grace i i really genuinely see these daughters of eve with purple hair and like the other day
00:33:58.720 i was just watching it and it was like like literally just tears filling my eyes like it's
00:34:02.140 so sad yeah because they're living in sheer bondage they're so depressed they're so anxiety
00:34:07.400 ridden there's just pumping themselves with ssris and anti-anxiety medication you know what's really
00:34:14.160 interesting you guys talking about essentially this optimistic view of the future that flavors
00:34:20.100 everything. Yeah. What, what Roe Wade has done, even, I mean, like I wake up in the morning and
00:34:27.460 I think about it cause it's, this is a big deal. I think about it a lot. I think about all of the
00:34:32.240 Christians who functionally have been like modern two kingdoms or saying like Christians have
00:34:39.920 nothing to do with the political realm like it hasn't worked right look what we have all of a
00:34:46.160 sudden now the biggest like one of the biggest obstacles um to that ideology has fallen or is
00:34:54.340 falling you know it's not done yet but well you're talking about like the concept that we're always
00:34:59.440 losing yeah that we're always losing we shouldn't be worried about supreme court justices well
00:35:03.900 actually this this actually i think in many ways what you're getting to is this is a huge cultural
00:35:09.540 win this is a huge cultural win and i think talking about opportunity is that there are
00:35:16.120 mega churches full of people who are disillusioned because we're just in a we're on the losing side
00:35:21.580 essentially you know we win in the end whatever uh and something like this has happened i think that
00:35:27.480 i mean like baskets full of white pills yeah are ready to be taken yeah and i think the
00:35:35.440 opportunity is massive for church reform because that's really what has to happen yep that's what
00:35:41.380 has to happen is that the churches have to reform they have to believe all of christ for all of life
00:35:48.160 yeah and that they need to fight if you want to take and hold ground that's the only way
00:35:54.100 it's the only way that you take and hold ground is by living in accordance with reality and god's
00:36:00.180 laws god's god's rules for reality that he's built into all things you can only do that if you are a
00:36:05.220 Christian fundamentally. I mean, pagans can, can feel their way there and they can be discipled
00:36:11.240 by Christian leaders and under good Christian rule in the civil sphere, pagans will be blessed
00:36:16.820 as well. But the only way you get there and hold it is through Christian conversion. That's why
00:36:24.220 Pete, you know, people who are like you post mill, you guys just want to establish a, you know,
00:36:29.180 theocracy. You're just obsessed with the Supreme court. You're just obsessed with the presidency.
00:36:33.720 And it's like, no, what we really want is to see from the bottom up, the nation's converted
00:36:39.440 and discipled until it's like through the process of regeneration, we've got this gospel
00:36:43.620 preaching.
00:36:44.280 Yeah.
00:36:44.500 You go, America's full of godly men, pick any of them.
00:36:47.680 They'll be a good president.
00:36:48.420 Like that's the goal.
00:36:49.440 You love your neighbor.
00:36:50.200 And so why wouldn't you want righteous rulers making righteous laws and not stealing from
00:36:55.980 your neighbor?
00:36:56.720 And it's, it's hilarious that God used Trump to do, I mean, I just, I know the biggest
00:37:00.680 joke on all of us.
00:37:02.160 It really is.
00:37:02.720 Because I'll be honest, in 2016, I was like, look, America had a completely Republican
00:37:10.600 or conservative dominated Supreme Court in the 90s.
00:37:12.820 We did not overturn Roe v. Wade.
00:37:15.080 We didn't do it.
00:37:16.060 They voted on it.
00:37:17.080 They upheld Roe v. Wade.
00:37:19.000 The last time a majority Supreme Court ruled on it until today, they upheld it.
00:37:23.920 Like by a huge, I think it was like seven to two, they upheld it.
00:37:27.320 so my position in 2016 was i don't give a damn who the who appoints the supreme court because
00:37:34.920 conservative liberal it doesn't matter we're done and god brought trump god literally pulled a joke
00:37:44.620 i feel like on on people who thought behold my deacon and he's like here you go and you go it's
00:37:52.300 like jay who you know it's just you there's absolute wrecking ball goes through and just
00:37:57.140 like blows up everybody's narratives and all of a sudden you're like the reality tv star who was on
00:38:02.260 playboy is humanly responsible for overturning roe v wade what what you can't write a better
00:38:12.300 script no no if i if someone wrote this as a as a historical fiction i'd be like dude no it's not
00:38:18.500 realistic enough massive plot holes i i but it's it's like song two it's like song two he who holds
00:38:25.040 them into derision he laughs yeah i mean this is you got to think god has a sense of humor and all
00:38:30.300 of this like well even when you watch the clips right of obama he's like running for office early
