00:00:00.000 A year ago, I began filming my new movie, Am I Racist?
00:00:02.800 The goal of the movie was to go deep undercover into the world of DEI
00:00:05.920 and show how bad the problem really is.
00:00:08.420 There'll be some moments in the movie that just seem too crazy to be real,
00:00:11.160 but I assure you it is all real and it has been a real problem for a while.
00:00:15.440 To prove to you how big of an issue DEI is,
00:00:17.700 I wanted to take you on a trip down memory lane
00:00:20.340 of some recent real-world examples of anti-white racism.
00:00:24.080 But before we do that, check out the trailer for Am I Racist?
00:00:27.680 Visit amiracist.com to check out showings and buy tickets at a theater near you.
00:00:32.000 Now enjoy the trailer. 0.97
00:00:33.320 Republicans are Nazis. 1.00
00:00:34.640 You cannot separate yourselves from the bad white people. 1.00
00:00:38.260 Growing up, I never thought much about race. 0.90
00:00:40.160 It never really seemed to matter that much, at least not to me.
00:00:42.840 Am I racist?
00:00:44.020 I would really appreciate it if you left.
00:00:45.300 I'm trying to learn. I'm on this journey.
00:00:47.280 If I'm going to sort this out, I need to go deeper undercover.
00:00:51.540 They don't say I'm racist.
00:00:53.060 Joining us now is Matt, certified DEI expert.
00:00:56.340 Here's my certification.
00:00:57.240 What you're doing is you're stretching out of your whiteness. 0.71
00:01:00.380 This is more for you than this for you.
00:01:01.360 Is America inherently racist?
00:01:02.920 The word inherent is challenging there.
00:01:04.900 I want to rename the George Washington Monument to the George Floyd Monument.
00:01:08.040 America is racist to its bones.
00:01:09.900 So inherently. 0.99
00:01:10.760 Yeah, this country is a piece of...
00:01:12.500 White folks. 1.00
00:01:14.920 White trash. 1.00
00:01:15.420 White supremacy. 1.00
00:01:16.200 White woman. 1.00
00:01:16.780 White boy.
00:01:17.300 Is there a black person around here?
00:01:18.600 What's a black person right here? 0.86
00:01:19.920 Does he not exist?
00:01:22.700 Hi, Robin.
00:01:23.260 Hi.
00:01:23.620 What's your name?
00:01:24.560 I'm Matt.
00:01:24.980 I just had to ask who you are because you have to be careful.
00:01:27.720 Never be too careful.
00:01:28.620 They're going to say you're racist.
00:01:29.620 In theaters now.
00:01:30.740 Rated PG-13.
00:01:32.240 Last night, somebody sent me an email that had recently gone out to students at Grand Valley
00:01:37.200 State University in Michigan.
00:01:39.220 The email was meant to inform them about the five upcoming graduation celebrations, which
00:01:44.640 would be held as a complement to the commencement ceremony.
00:01:47.440 Now, five celebrations might seem a little bit excessive.
00:01:51.040 If you've ever been to a graduation, then you know that one is already a little bit too much
00:01:54.860 as it is.
00:01:55.700 But there's a reason why this school has decided to have five.
00:01:59.240 As they explained in their email, reading now, it says,
00:02:02.220 Dear Laker graduates, Grand Valley hosts five unique graduation celebrations annually
00:02:06.900 designed to honor our diverse graduates.
00:02:09.960 These programs complement the university commencement ceremonies and are an opportunity to come together
00:02:14.520 and acknowledge Laker accomplishments in the spirit and traditions of our diverse identities
00:02:18.960 and cultures.
00:02:19.600 And here are the five events.
00:02:22.180 It says, Asian graduation celebration, April 19th.
00:02:26.120 Black graduation celebration, April 28th.
00:02:29.300 Latino slash A slash X graduation celebration, April 28th.
00:02:34.280 Side note, no Hispanic person actually wants to be called Latinx.
00:02:38.900 But rather than simply abandon that silliness entirely, this is apparently what they've settled on.
00:02:43.720 Now Latino people are Latino slash A slash X. 1.00
00:02:47.660 So they've improved on Latinx, which sounded clunky and ridiculous, by coming up with an alternative 0.99
00:02:53.540 that is even clunkier and more ridiculous. 0.99
00:02:56.520 Okay, back to the segregated graduations. 0.98
00:02:58.960 It says, lavender graduation celebrating LGBTQIA plus graduates, April 20th.
00:03:04.720 Native graduation celebration, April 27th.
00:03:07.560 Side note, again, there is a typo here, actually, because it actually says lavender gradation.
00:03:14.500 Gradation as in a series of successive changes made by degrees or in phases over time, much like you would find on, say, a slippery slope.
00:03:23.620 So this typo is the most insightful thing this university has produced in its entire existence, probably, even if it was by accident.
00:03:31.120 So these are the graduation celebrations or gradation celebrations, however you want to put it, broken up by identity group.
00:03:37.560 Now, needless to say, there will be no special event for straight white people. 0.74
00:03:41.780 They will have to make do with the commencement ceremony that everybody else gets.
00:03:45.280 They're not going to get their own special event.
00:03:47.080 But Grand Valley is far from alone with their segregation policies when it comes to graduations.
00:03:51.680 This has become an increasingly common practice.
00:03:53.640 Just a couple of weeks ago, there was controversy over a segregated black graduation ceremony at the University of Chicago.
00:04:00.380 The Daily Mail had that report.
00:04:01.560 It said, quote, a leaked email obtained by University of Chicago law student Benjamin Ogilvie unmasked the previously under wraps event,
00:04:08.720 with Ogilvie penning a piece for the college fix to share the email's contents.
00:04:13.080 Quote, black action and public policy studies is hosting a graduation ceremony for all University of Chicago black graduate students.
00:04:19.940 On June 1st, the email stated, according to Ogilvie, leaked on Tuesday, the email reportedly touted the event as the culmination of the black student experience at the Illinois school
00:04:28.700 and is already sparking heated discourse as to whether or not the event serves as segregation.
00:04:33.420 Now, a spokesperson for the school was quoted later in the article, and they did respond to a request for comment arguing that the black graduation,
00:04:43.360 though it is a ceremony being held for black people and is advertised as such, is not explicitly black only.
00:04:50.060 And so that's how they get around any legal challenges.
00:04:54.100 Anyone can come if they want to, technically.
00:04:57.160 And the fact that whites won't be chased away at gunpoint, not as an official policy anyway, is supposed to make this all okay. 0.77
00:05:03.740 And yet, I have a sneaking suspicion that the University of Chicago would not allow a white graduation ceremony, 0.94
00:05:10.100 even if blacks were technically allowed to attend.
00:05:13.420 The logic, as always, only goes one way.
00:05:16.500 The same applies at Harvard, where Harvard's Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging
00:05:21.100 helps to organize graduation ceremonies for, quote, first-generation BGLTQ black and Latinx students.
00:05:29.000 And they've also added a special ceremony this year for Asian-American, Pacific Islander, and Desi-American graduates.
00:05:34.900 Columbia University, meanwhile, adds another category.
00:05:37.680 That school has special ceremonies for black, LGBTQ, native, Latinx, and Asian graduates, just like we saw with Grand Valley.
00:05:46.380 But they've also added a sixth category for low-income individuals.
00:05:52.280 Because it is, of course, important to have proper representation for all of those impoverished people who are graduating from an Ivy League school.
00:05:59.720 The low-income celebration will be very interesting because there won't be anyone there except the catering staff, I guess.
00:06:05.320 So this is the country we live in now.
00:06:09.060 Segregation has long since made a comeback. 0.99
00:06:11.440 These policies can be put in place.
00:06:13.760 They can be advocated for.
00:06:15.340 And most of the time, without even the slightest pushback.
00:06:19.020 That is, as long as you advocate for them from a socially acceptable angle. 0.92
00:06:24.900 So take this recent clip of white fragility author Robin DiAngelo claiming that black people need to, quote, get away from white people. 0.94
00:06:32.960 Listen.
00:06:33.740 I'm a big believer in affinity space, in affinity work.
00:06:37.340 And I think people of color need to get away from white people and have some community with each other.
00:06:45.380 And I'll let that go and maybe see if anyone else wants to pick it up.
00:06:49.760 Yes, get away, she says.
00:06:51.620 Get away. 0.73
00:06:53.140 One racial group needs to get away from the other. 1.00
00:06:56.040 Now, if this sentiment sounds familiar, it's probably because Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert, said exactly the same thing.
00:07:04.340 Almost verbatim, with one slight difference.
00:07:07.640 Let's listen to that again. 1.00
00:07:08.480 You know, based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from black people. 1.00
00:07:18.160 Just get the f*** away. 1.00
00:07:20.640 Wherever you have to go, just get away. 0.98
00:07:24.120 Because there's no fixing this.
00:07:27.320 This can't be fixed.
00:07:29.620 Right?
00:07:30.240 This can't be fixed.
00:07:31.420 You just have to escape.
00:07:32.540 So it is, as I said, exactly the same idea, using almost identical language.
00:07:38.700 The difference is that Scott Adams lost everything.
00:07:42.360 His career, his reputation, distribution of his comic strip.
00:07:45.500 He had his life destroyed for saying what you just heard there.
00:07:48.920 Meanwhile, Robin DiAngelo has suffered no repercussions at all.
00:07:52.200 It's not that DiAngelo has experienced a less intense backlash or less severe professional consequences.
00:07:57.880 It's that there has been no backlash.
00:08:00.600 No consequence. 0.98
00:08:02.540 And that's all because, though they both were advocating for the same thing, DiAngelo said that blacks need to get away from whites, while Adam said that whites need to get away from blacks. 0.96
00:08:13.140 This is the crucial distinction that's supposed to change everything.
00:08:16.900 Using your internet without ExpressVPN, it's like leaving your keys in your car while you run into the gas station for a snack.
00:08:22.440 Most of the time, probably fine, but what if you come back to see someone driving off with your car?
00:08:26.640 You wouldn't want that.
00:08:27.720 I spent a lot of time talking about the threats to our values and way of life.
00:08:30.480 There's another threat lurking that many of us aren't even aware of.
00:08:33.760 Digital predators waiting to steal your personal information.
00:08:36.740 Every time you connect to public Wi-Fi at a coffee shop, airport, or hotel, you might as well be handing your passwords and credit card numbers to the sketchy guy in the corner.
00:08:44.720 And trust me, that guy doesn't need to be some elite hacker.
00:08:47.600 Even a tech-savvy middle schooler could swipe your data with some cheap equipment.
00:08:52.020 Now, I'm not saying you need to live in fear or become a digital hermit, but you do need to protect yourself.
00:08:56.860 That's why I use ExpressVPN and why I'm telling all of you to use it, too.
00:09:01.560 ExpressVPN creates an encrypted tunnel between your device and the internet.
00:09:05.000 Their encryption is so strong, it would take a hacker with a supercomputer over a billion years to crack.
00:09:09.540 Just one click on their app and you're protected on all of your devices.
00:09:12.360 It's no wonder that CNET and The Verge named ExpressVPN the number one VPN in the world.
00:09:17.260 Look, your data is valuable.
00:09:18.620 Hackers can make up to $1,000 selling your info on the dark web.
00:09:22.180 Don't let the digital vultures profit off of your personal information.
00:09:25.220 Secure your online data today by visiting expressvpn.com slash WalshYT.
00:09:29.140 That's e-x-b-r-s-s-v-p-n dot com slash WalshYT.

00:09:37.040 This is from Fox.
00:09:38.760 It says James Madison University is under fire for pushing controversial rhetoric as part of its freshman orientation training for student leaders.
00:09:46.400 The PowerPoint presentation and accompanying video addressed topics like social justice, identity, power, and privilege,
00:09:52.800 and labeled any person who fits the parameters of white, male, straight, and Christian as oppressors in a detailed chart.
00:09:59.120 JMU College Republicans Chairwoman Juliana McGrath shared her frustration with Fox News,
00:10:03.620 saying the training at the Virginia University that's meant to bring students together will ultimately be divisive.
00:10:09.720 She said, quote,
00:10:10.740 When you're teaching about things like this, the goal is to try to bring people together and try to get people to understand different life experiences.
00:10:16.320 But by saying because you're white, you're an oppressor. 0.97
00:10:18.420 Because you're straight, you're an oppressor. 1.00
00:10:19.840 Because you're a male, you're an oppressor. 0.97
00:10:21.240 That actually brings people farther apart.
00:10:23.080 And it doesn't actually accomplish any of the goals of what I feel like they were trying to do.
00:10:27.440 According to McGrath, the most shocking inclusion in the presentation
00:10:29.860 was the implication that followers of the Christian faith specifically were deemed as oppressors,
00:10:34.920 even though all religious individuals, regardless of denomination, believe in the same thing, a higher power.
00:10:39.100 She said, quote,
00:10:39.820 In our chapter of College Republicans, we actually have a very diverse chapter,
00:10:42.720 and we have people of different races, of different backgrounds, and specifically of different religious beliefs.
00:10:46.020 And that's always been very welcome.
00:10:48.040 I feel like no matter your political beliefs, you always find some type of common ground.
00:10:51.520 I think sometimes religion is the common ground.
00:10:53.400 A lot of this, unfortunately, is unremarkable, because this is the kind of re-education that we see in colleges across the country.
00:11:02.580 Most universities at this point, this is their primary function.
00:11:07.300 This is a feature, not a bug.
00:11:10.280 It's not like you send your kids to college, and then they just so happen to be brainwashed into leftist dogma.
00:11:17.080 That's why the universities exist at this point.
00:11:20.320 That is their primary goal.
00:11:21.780 So that makes this unremarkable, but still important.
00:11:27.320 But I'm really, I really zero in on what she said here.
00:11:33.680 Juliana McGrath, she said,
00:11:35.500 The goal is to try to bring people together and try to get people to understand different life experiences.
00:11:40.580 But when you do all of this, you're tearing people apart,
00:11:44.380 and that doesn't accomplish any of the goals that you're trying to accomplish, she said.
00:11:49.260 Well, no, Juliana, let me explain this to you.
00:11:53.160 It is important that you understand.
00:11:56.180 I don't want to be accused of mansplaining here.
00:11:57.940 I don't need that on top of all the other crimes I've committed.
00:12:00.680 Maybe that'll be next.
00:12:01.360 Maybe Kristi Noem tomorrow will tweet about how I mansplained.
00:12:04.920 At this point, just dye your hair pink.
00:12:07.180 Cut it down.
00:12:08.300 Call me a mansplainer.
00:12:09.160 Why not?
00:12:10.360 Go full feminist. 1.00
00:12:11.020 Anyway, it is important to explain this to anyone who doesn't understand it.
00:12:16.340 I think there are a lot of people on the right who still don't understand this.
00:12:19.040 No, these kind of indoctrination seminars, 0.71
00:12:22.560 where they're saying that white people and males and Christians are oppressors and evil and all that,
00:12:27.560 this is not a misguided but well-intentioned attempt to bring people together
00:12:32.920 and to make people understand each other's life experiences.
00:12:35.500 No, this is not something that's clumsy and we'll say,
00:12:40.380 well, they're trying to accomplish something.
00:12:42.040 They're just not accomplishing it.
00:12:43.680 They just so happen to be doing the opposite of what they're trying to accomplish.
00:12:46.680 No, they are accomplishing their goal 100%.
00:12:50.120 The goal is not to bring anyone together.
00:12:53.340 That is not the goal.
00:12:55.840 The division, the hostility, the suspicion that's engendered by these sorts of programs,
00:13:02.740 that is the point.
00:13:04.280 That's why they're doing it.
00:13:06.840 There is nothing well-intentioned about this at all.
00:13:11.600 They are trying to drive that wedge in between you, in between all of us.
00:13:17.880 And not one wedge, but a million wedges.
00:13:21.860 Dividing people into a million different categories and subcategories.
00:13:26.160 Even one single individual person is now divided,
00:13:29.620 is chopped into a thousand different pieces
00:13:32.300 and put into different compartments and different labels.
00:13:34.760 And everybody's warring against each other.
00:13:38.160 That is totally the point.
00:13:40.600 It's why they're doing it.
00:13:42.360 So when you say they're not achieving what they want to achieve,
00:13:44.320 yes, they are.
00:13:45.580 They're doing a great job of accomplishing their goals.
00:13:48.900 They want to divide the American population.
00:13:53.100 To inflame tribalism, that's part of the point here.
00:13:57.040 And also to tear down our history and all of the authorities of the past.
00:14:05.060 You know, to separate us from our own history.
00:14:09.080 Western civilization is informed, shaped by Christian values,
00:14:14.980 by the Christian religion.
00:14:16.300 And that's why, that's one of the main reasons why they hate it.
00:14:20.400 And that's why, if you notice, they focus on Christianity
00:14:23.700 much more than they focus on something like Islam. 0.67
00:14:26.940 Because they are trying to destroy, eat away at,
00:14:31.200 chop down the foundations of Western civilization.
00:14:34.600 That is the point.
00:14:38.380 They want us to live fully immersed in modernity.
00:14:43.980 Severed from all of the ties of the past.
00:14:49.460 Hating everybody that came before us.
00:14:51.740 Our ancestors, all of the people who built this civilization that we now live in.
00:14:56.760 They want us to hate all of them.
00:14:58.140 And hate our past.
00:15:00.520 Hate anybody connected with our past.
00:15:02.140 They want to identify the villains of the past.
00:15:06.380 In a very simplistic way.
00:15:07.720 Well, if you're white, if you're a Christian, if you're a male, 0.54
00:15:09.740 those are all the villains of the past.
00:15:12.060 Any of your historical heroes who you thought were heroes,
00:15:15.280 well, if they were white, male, whatever, and they weren't heroes.
00:15:17.620 They were oppressors. 0.97
00:15:20.020 And their progeny to this day, still oppressors.
00:15:25.500 That is, again, the whole entire point.
00:15:29.060 And it is crucially important for us to understand that.
00:15:32.140 You get it.
00:15:32.680 And you're right.
00:15:33.760 Now, the球 of the Model.
00:15:37.240 So I would respect you to the Shiv to the past.
00:15:37.960 You get it.
00:15:39.640 Now, the球 of the覺.
