00:00:00.000 Today, very exciting. We're going to read and review some more woke children's literature.
00:00:05.320 We know that there are many books out there seeking to brainwash our kids. If you go into
00:00:10.100 a children's section at Barnes & Noble right now, it feels like you're being handed pamphlets at an
00:00:15.540 Antifa rally or something. It's nothing but left-wing extremism everywhere. And that is
00:00:20.200 certainly the case for this book, which is It Feels Good to Be Yourself, written by Teresa Thorne,
00:00:27.600 illustrated by Noah Gregini. And we're just going to read it. We're going to, we're going to find
00:00:31.380 out what kind of brainwashing is going on in this book. I feel like it's going to be pretty intense.
00:00:35.620 All right. It begins. This is Ruthie. Now you notice from the very beginning that the politically
00:00:42.460 correct assortment of people all over this page. So they've got, they've got all the different races
00:00:47.540 and ethnicities, not a lot of white kids. I mean, the one white kid, there's got the white girl there, 1.00
00:00:51.840 but she has blue hair. It's allowed to be white, but you have to dye your hair. You have to compensate
00:00:55.320 by dyeing your hair pink or blue. Then we've got the child walking down, playing an acoustic guitar.
00:01:00.400 Why not? There's even an equitable and diverse assortment of modes of transportation. So there's
00:01:06.700 the bus, the car, and for some reason, a unicycle. Because when do you, I mean, we all see that,
00:01:12.840 right? You're driving down the road, a residential neighborhood, and there's just a girl on a
00:01:16.200 unicycle in the bike lane. She's a transgender girl. That means when she was born, everyone thought 1.00
00:01:24.320 she was a boy until she grew a little older, old enough to tell everyone that she's actually a
00:01:29.080 girl. Everyone was right. Everyone was right the first time. Why, this is left out. Why did they
00:01:35.820 think, I mean, these, these, these backwards Neanderthals, as Joe Biden would call them, 0.91
00:01:41.960 why did they think that, quote, she was a boy? Well, because they made observations about her
00:01:48.900 biological nature. They made scientific observations, and that's how they came to the
00:01:54.320 correct conclusion that he is actually a boy. They leave that out of the book. Girl is Ruthie's
00:02:00.820 gender identity. And we have to remember, gender identity is a fake concept. And I always have to 0.97
00:02:07.400 remind you, if you didn't know this, I think it's really important for people to understand where
00:02:10.520 these ideas came from. Every time you hear gender identity, remember, fake concept invented,
00:02:15.000 not just an invented concept or a concept invented generally by the left. It's a concept pushed by
00:02:20.640 the left, but it was invented originally by a guy named John Money. And he was the pedophilic,
00:02:26.400 insane lunatic back in the mid 20th century who ran sexual experiments on children, including two 0.99
00:02:33.440 brothers, twin, twin boys, forcibly performing essentially a forcible sex change on one of them. 0.99
00:02:39.560 And later, both boys would go on to kill themselves. That's where it comes from. Nothing but misery and
00:02:44.200 despair and horror. This is Ruthie's brother, Xavier. Xavier is a cisgender boy. That means 0.97
00:02:50.240 when Xavier was born, everyone thought he was a boy. And as he grew older, turned out everyone was
00:02:54.820 right. He is a boy. Boy is Xavier's gender identity. No, boy is his biological sex. Gender identity,
00:03:03.660 not a thing. Biological sex is a thing. That's what he is. There are so many different ways to be a boy
00:03:09.080 or a girl. Too many to fit in a book. But not everyone feels like either a boy or a girl. Non-binary 0.94
00:03:14.800 is a helpful word that can describe a kid who doesn't feel exactly like a boy or a girl. So you
00:03:19.980 notice again, the PC utopia on this page. You've got a bearded woman walking a dog with her lesbian 1.00
00:03:26.080 lover. Then you've got a cross-dressing boy playing the trumpet. Why not? And then we've, of course, 0.99
00:03:30.560 we've got the two, the two gay men pushing a stroller, one wearing a t-shirt that says number one, 0.82
00:03:34.780 dad. So if you're not getting the message yet, if it's not being, if you're not being hit over the
00:03:39.400 head with the message enough yet, this hopefully we'll get the point across. Um, but the real irony
00:03:45.320 here is they say there are so many different ways to be a boy or a girl, right? Too, too many ways to
00:03:50.460 fit in a book. Well, that's, that's correct, but they are making it so that there are not so many ways
00:03:58.340 to be our boy or a girl. They are the one gender identity, left-wing gender theory. This is the 0.74
00:04:05.080 rigid constricting thing that confines boys and girls because it used to be that you could be a
00:04:12.020 girl and still wear short hair if you want and play rough and tumble sports and play with play in the
00:04:19.520 mud with toy trucks. And we will call you a tomboy. And we would say, that's a valid way to be a girl. 1.00
00:04:25.500 That's fine. If you want to be a girl that way, you could be a girl that way. But now we've taken
00:04:29.900 that away from girls and we've said, well, if you act like that, you're probably a boy.
00:04:33.640 So in the name of opening everything up and being open-minded, we've actually constricted it
00:04:37.760 and made it so that there is one particular way to be a boy or a girl. And if you go outside of that,
00:04:43.740 then you become the other gender or other sex rather. Alex is both a boy and a girl. No, 0.58
00:04:50.960 he's not. When Alex was born, everyone thought Alex was a girl, but Alex is both a boy and a girl.
00:04:57.300 This is Alex's gender identity. No, this is insane nonsense is what this is. This is Alex's friend, 0.67
00:05:03.720 JJ. JJ is neither a boy nor a girl. Ever since JJ was very little, they never felt exactly like a boy
00:05:09.640 or a girl. They just felt like themself. What does that mean exactly? They never felt like a boy or a girl.
00:05:19.020 How does he know what a boy or a girl feels like? What are you comparing it to? How do you know that
00:05:26.280 your feelings are not what a boy feels like? How do you know that? Because you've never been the
00:05:32.740 other things. You have nothing to compare it to. This is just one of the logical problems that
00:05:36.480 I'm thinking will probably not be addressed in this book, but I could be wrong. Alex and JJ are both
00:05:41.780 non-binary. Just like there are many different ways to be a boy and a girl, there are many different
00:05:45.600 ways to be non-binary. Too many to fit in a book. And even with all these possible ways to be, 0.99
00:05:50.780 some kids don't feel any of the words they know fit them exactly right. There are a never-ending
00:05:55.600 number of ways to be yourself in the world. These are ways to be confused. What we're talking about
00:06:01.180 here are not ways for kids to be themselves, but the opposite of that. These are ways for kids to be
00:06:06.740 confused about themselves. This is not an identity. Non-binary is not an identity. It's an anti-identity. 1.00
00:06:13.280 It is a person refusing to accept who they are. It's a rejection of identity. It's not the acceptance.
00:06:20.660 It's the rejection of identity. This is someone who either is refusing to accept who they are,
00:06:25.240 or if it's a child who's been brainwashed into this, this is a child who's never been
00:06:29.720 made to understand who he is. This is the deprivation of identity. Whether you feel like a boy,
00:06:37.120 a girl, both or neither, or if you describe yourself another way, that is your gender identity.
00:06:41.420 Your gender identity might match what people thought you were when you were born, or it might
00:06:45.320 not. See, when you were born, you couldn't tell people who you were or how you felt. They looked at
00:06:50.380 you and made a guess. Maybe they got it right. Maybe they got it wrong. What a baby's body looks like
00:06:55.260 when they're born can be a clue to what the baby's gender will be, but not always. No, see, it's not
00:07:00.020 that as a baby, you couldn't tell people who you were. It's that you didn't know who you were
00:07:05.540 because you were a baby. And as a baby, you don't know anything. Babies don't understand
00:07:12.360 anything about the world. Least of all, do they understand what a boy or a girl is? 0.99
00:07:17.060 So what I can say from my experience, looking down at a cute little three-month-old baby,
00:07:22.100 if you're wondering, how do they feel about their gender? What are they thinking about their own
00:07:28.300 gender? They're not thinking about it at all. What they're thinking about is they want to get fed.
00:07:33.580 They have to poop. They want to take a nap. Those are all the things they're thinking about
00:07:36.760 and really nothing else. They have no concept of their own, quote, gender because they're babies.
00:07:43.920 This is something that children, they have to be educated about this.
00:07:49.340 And that's why when you get to a four-year-old who says, I'm not a boy, I'm actually a girl.
00:07:54.520 But one of the ways that we know that that's not true, aside from the fact that it simply doesn't
00:07:58.020 make sense, is that they don't know what they're talking about. That boy doesn't know
00:08:03.100 what a girl is. And that seems like a pretty significant problem. When someone is making
00:08:09.080 a declaration about who they are and they don't know. When people guess wrong, it's okay to let
00:08:15.160 them know. Ruthie was five when she told her parents. And a little speech bubble says,
00:08:19.880 I know you think I'm a boy, but really, I feel like a girl. Oops, Ruthie was a girl all along. 0.96
00:08:25.660 They just didn't know it at first. And so the family quickly accepts it.
00:08:29.320 This is what the left wants you to do. Your five-year-old, how old is this kid?
00:08:35.020 Your five-year-old comes up to you and says, hey, I know you think I'm a boy, but it actually
00:08:39.680 turns out I'm a girl. And they want you to say on the spot, well, okay then, you're a girl.
00:08:45.700 No questions asked. We're not going to even ask the follow-up question of, what do you mean by that,
00:08:52.420 child? You say that you're a girl. What do you mean? That seems like a pretty important
00:09:00.740 follow-up, doesn't it? Anytime your child is saying anything to you, you should try to understand what
00:09:05.980 they mean. And it's not always clear what they mean because they don't have the words to express.
00:09:11.160 They understand very little about the world. They understand very little about themselves and what
00:09:15.620 they want and what's best for them. And so they don't have the words to express. That's why kids do a
00:09:20.800 lot of screaming and crying and they throw temper tantrums because they can't express what they
00:09:26.320 actually want. And that's why it's really important. Even when your kid is clear and says, I want this.
00:09:35.300 It's important for you as the adult in this situation to understand why they're actually
00:09:39.860 saying that. That to me seems like an important follow-up. I'm a girl. What do you mean? What do
00:09:46.000 you mean you're a girl? Ask that question. And what you're going to find out is what the boy is
00:09:49.440 actually saying is that he wants to wear a pink shirt because he thinks pink is a pretty color.
00:09:53.400 Fine. Wear the pink shirt. You're still not a girl though. When people guess right, it's also okay to 1.00
00:09:57.840 let them know. Xavier was three and a half when he told his family, I'm a boy. I like being a boy.
00:10:04.000 Yes, I'll never forget the day that my child announced to me that he is himself.
00:10:07.840 Dad, turns out I'm myself. Whew. Good. I wasn't sure. Your feelings about your gender are real. 0.98
00:10:14.840 Listen to your heart. No matter what your gender identity is, you're okay exactly the way you are
00:10:19.960 and you are loved. It feels good to be yourself, doesn't it? Yeah, your feelings about your gender
00:10:26.200 are real. But that doesn't mean that they reflect reality. Okay, that's the distinction that so many
00:10:34.560 people struggle with. Your feelings are real. You really do feel this way. That doesn't mean that
00:10:42.680 it is an accurate reflection of what is. That's the point. And that is what is not covered in this
00:10:51.120 book and what I wouldn't expect to be covered because all you get here is indoctrination and
00:10:55.520 brainwashing. And that's why this book and so many books like it are poison. What I would say is I'm not
00:11:00.700 into banning books. I'm not into burning books. But if we're going to ban and cancel books, how about
00:11:05.980 a book like this and not Dr. Seuss?
