00:06:34.140 it would still be the case that one in seven people over the age of 70 have dementia.

00:06:41.640 The percentages only get higher as you get older, and it certainly can't help your case

00:06:45.780 if you happen to be in one of the most physically and mentally demanding jobs in existence.

00:06:50.740 About 2 million people with dementia in this country are age 85 or older.

00:06:55.320 But there are only 7 million people total in that age bracket.

00:06:59.440 What this means is that mental deterioration is very common for older people

00:07:08.420 If a man is elected president at 78, again, even pretending that he has his wits fully about him

00:07:15.820 at the point that he's elected, there's a very significant probability that he will lose his mind

00:07:27.220 If he does not lose only his mind, he may likely lose his life in the intervening years as well.

00:08:12.720 Yet, the risk inherent in having a decrepit president are much, much greater than the risks

00:08:27.780 it doesn't make any sense that we refuse to rule people out on the other end of the age spectrum.
