00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, the LGBT cult is not satisfied to simply indoctrinate everybody living on Earth today.
00:00:06.000 Now they are setting out to posthumously recruit the dead.
00:00:08.940 We'll talk about that today.
00:00:09.880 Also, Liz Cheney goes down in flames and humiliates herself in the process.
00:00:13.380 Dr. Oz goes to the grocery store and humiliates himself in the process.
00:00:17.020 The IRS trains agents to use deadly force.
00:00:19.520 But based on the footage from this training session, I don't think we have much to worry about.
00:00:23.440 In our daily cancellation, Serena Williams announces her retirement and, of course,
00:00:27.220 whines about sexism on the way out the door.
00:00:30.040 All of that and more today on the Matt Wall Show.
00:00:41.080 The Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe is a huge, albeit long overdue, step in the right direction.
00:00:46.580 But there's still a long way to go to rid our country of abortion completely.
00:00:50.360 Many companies are bowing to the woke mob by donating to pro-choice causes and candidates
00:00:54.340 or reimbursing their employees' travel expenses so that if they live and work in a pro-life state,
00:00:58.840 they can travel to a pro-abortion state and get an abortion and be back at work on Monday.
00:01:02.320 Well, what if I told you that if you're currently on a phone plan with one of the major carriers,
00:01:06.560 you might be supporting these companies and their pro-abortion agendas with your monthly phone bill.
00:01:11.080 Don't let abortionists use your money to fund policies you don't believe and switch to Charity Mobile instead.
00:01:16.000 Charity Mobile is a pro-life, pro-family cell phone company that sends 5% of your monthly plan price
00:01:21.060 to the pro-life charity of your choice. You don't have to compromise on values or a good phone service
00:01:25.560 either. Charity Mobile offers the latest 5G phones, no device or service contracts,
00:01:29.440 great nationwide coverage, and live customer service base right here in the USA.
00:01:33.220 The fight for the right to life continues, and pro-life causes need your support more now than ever.
00:01:38.500 You can help by simply switching your phone service to Charity Mobile today.
00:01:42.040 Call 1-877-474-3662 or chat with them online at charitymobile.com.
00:01:45.940 Mention Offer Code Walsh to redeem a free cell phone offer. That's charitymobile.com and mention Code Walsh.
00:01:52.240 Last week, the Globe Theatre in London announced a new play called I, Joan about the legendary 15th
00:01:58.800 century saint Joan of Arc. But this play is not really about Joan of Arc, the actual historical person
00:02:04.160 who led a French army to major military victories before being captured and burned alive at the stake
00:02:08.420 at the age of 19. This play is about a fictionalized non-binary version of the saint.
00:02:15.040 The Globe explained in an announcement on Twitter,
00:02:19.420 quote,
00:02:19.700 Our new play, I, Joan, shows Joan as a legendary leader who uses the pronouns they, them.
00:02:25.140 We are not the first to present Joan in this way, and we will not be the last.
00:02:28.680 We can't wait to share this production with everyone and discover this cultural icon.
00:02:34.160 So, first of all, shouldn't the play be called We, Joan, if it's they, them pronouns?
00:02:39.020 But of course, grammatical consistency is the least of the problems that we have here.
00:02:42.760 Accompanying the announcement is a promotional image showing Joan of Arc frail, dirty, sullen,
00:02:48.820 and wearing a chest binder. On their website, the Globe continues its defense of the portrayal,
00:02:53.940 claiming, quote,
00:02:55.040 We are not the first to present Joan in this way, and we will not be the last.
00:02:58.140 Regarding the use of pronouns they to refer to a singular person has been traced by the Oxford
00:03:02.700 English Dictionary to as early as 1375, years before Joan was even born.
00:03:06.700 Regardless, theaters do not deal with historical reality.
00:03:10.760 Theaters produce plays, and in plays, anything can be possible.
00:03:15.780 Now, it's true that they has often been used through the centuries to refer to a singular person.
00:03:22.160 That's true.
00:03:23.240 But that's only when you're talking about a singular person in the abstract or hypothetically,
00:03:29.320 or if you don't know the individual's sex.
00:03:32.060 So, for example, somebody cuts you off in traffic, and all you see is their back bumper,
00:03:37.460 and you don't know who it is.
00:03:38.680 You might remark that they are an a-hole.
00:03:42.140 Or if you're more dedicated like me, you might speed up so that you can get a good look at the person
00:03:46.040 and then cuss them out with more specificity.
00:03:48.920 But if you're speaking about a specific known individual,
00:03:52.940 the pronoun they makes no sense and serves no intelligible purpose.
00:03:56.020 There is no precedent in the English language or any other language of using they to refer to a specific man
00:04:02.400 or a specific woman instead of just saying he, him, her, or her.
00:04:07.880 And there is certainly no precedent of individuals selecting their own pronouns for themselves
00:04:14.380 and demanding that others abide by that preference.
00:04:17.760 There is no precedent for that.
00:04:19.180 That has never existed anywhere in the world, and it certainly did not exist in medieval France.
00:04:23.760 Now, the theater takes refuge in the fact that theatrical productions don't have to deal strictly with historical reality.
00:04:31.260 And yes, there is indeed a long tradition of events and people from history being partially or totally fictionalized
00:04:36.940 for the sake of telling a story.
00:04:38.720 But in this case, they're fictionalizing Joan of Arc in a way that completely negates nearly everything
00:04:43.860 that made Joan of Arc significant to begin with.
00:04:46.060 The whole point of the Joan of Arc story, the reason she's remembered by history
00:04:50.000 and has been revered down the centuries,
00:04:51.480 the reason that she's a patron saint of France,
00:04:53.840 the reason that she's beloved as one of the great Catholic saints,
00:04:56.840 is that she did all that she did as a woman.
00:05:00.740 To erase her womanhood is to erase her.
00:05:04.240 This really isn't very much different from reimagining Frederick Douglass or Martin Luther King Jr. as white men.
00:05:10.540 And something tells me that this theater, nor any other theater in the world,
00:05:13.520 would be quite so artistically open-minded as to host a stage production
00:05:17.820 depicting a black civil rights leader as a white dude.
00:05:21.960 You know, the appetite to fictionalize history,
00:05:26.260 the appetite for fictionalized retellings of historical events,
00:05:30.320 seems to be rather selective, shall we say.
00:05:33.560 But the greater problem is that the people pushing this stuff
00:05:36.040 aren't actually willing to admit that their fictionalization is merely a fictionalization.
00:05:41.860 Over the past few days, various academics and historians have come out of the woodwork
00:05:46.500 to try and vindicate the queerified Joan of Arc.
00:05:50.280 The gay news site Pink News featured an article written by alleged historian Florence Scott
00:05:54.680 claiming that, quote,
00:05:56.460 gendering Joan of Arc isn't that straightforward.
00:06:00.200 She writes, quote,
00:06:01.500 Joan is a particularly elusive and complicated historical figure.
00:06:05.380 We cannot possibly access Joan's understanding of her own gender
00:06:08.560 or how she related to the gender roles of her day.
00:06:11.400 We can only look at the available source material
00:06:13.460 and interpret how she expressed herself.
00:06:16.420 The picture is complex.
00:06:18.860 Gender, as something that is constructed, evolves over time.
00:06:21.960 That means any role we ascribe to a historical figure,
00:06:24.420 a man, woman, or non-binary,
00:06:26.100 is anachronistic, muddied by modern conceptions of gender.
00:06:29.620 That doesn't mean we can't relate to Joan's experience of gender,
00:06:32.360 just that there's a whole spectrum of ways to relate.
00:06:35.240 Women have a right to be inspired by Joan as a strong woman,
00:06:38.560 acting in defiance of a patriarchal society.
00:06:41.200 But those of us who are queer or non-binary
00:06:43.200 should also be able to see ourselves reflected
00:06:46.180 in her transgression of gender roles and refusal to conform.
00:06:50.020 In taking such inspiration from medieval figures,
00:06:52.100 we need to be aware we are placing our modern experiences and values
00:06:54.860 on someone who didn't share them.
00:06:56.500 Whether we conceive of Joan as a woman, non-binary, or even trans-masculine,
00:07:00.500 and I think all three are valid historical readings,
00:07:02.840 we must remember that we cannot define her.
00:07:05.720 We can only interpret her.
00:07:07.260 Well, actually, no, we can define her.
00:07:10.680 We can define her in many ways.
00:07:14.080 Okay, define means like if someone says,
00:07:15.820 who is Joan of Arc or who was Joan of Arc,
00:07:17.440 we can give an answer to that question.
00:07:19.420 We can define her.
00:07:21.260 We can say that she was born in France.
00:07:22.940 We can say that she was martyred on May 30th, 1431.
00:07:25.720 We can say many objective things about who she was
00:07:28.280 and what she did in between those dates.
00:07:29.920 We can say that she was a human being,
00:07:31.480 and we can say that she was a woman.
00:07:33.940 There is nothing complicated about any of that.
00:07:37.820 But as always, the MO of the LGBT propagandist is to make murky even the clearest water.
00:07:44.280 It is to create fog and confusion wherever they find clarity.
00:07:48.520 It is to unload a dump truck full of meaningless jargon right into the middle of every conversation.
00:07:56.620 And it's also to rewrite not only our current day reality, but history as well.
00:08:02.220 And that effort to rewrite history is now in full swing.
00:08:05.060 Over the last few days, other academics and historians have come out to argue
00:08:10.100 that Joan of Arc may not have been non-binary, but she was at least non-binary adjacent.
00:08:16.420 Or maybe she was non-binary, because this is how it goes, right?
00:08:18.480 First they say, well, no, we're not claiming that Joan of Arc was actually non-binary.
00:08:23.300 Oh, no, actually, we are claiming that.
00:08:25.220 How quickly we make that transition.
00:08:27.260 And not satisfied to simply desecrate Joan of Arc's memory
00:08:30.280 by trying to posthumously recruit her into the LGBT cult,
00:08:33.240 they've now moved on to other historical figures.
00:08:36.700 Because this is the other thing that we know the left always does, right?
00:08:38.780 They always double down.
00:08:40.260 And so when they come along and say, well, we're going to betray Joan of Arc as non-binary,
00:08:43.960 people are upset about that.
00:08:45.500 Their response isn't to back off.
00:08:47.280 It's to say, oh, you know what?
00:08:49.040 Just because you're saying that, not only was Joan of Arc non-binary,
00:08:52.780 but all these other historical figures were too.
00:08:55.620 The Daily Mail reports, an academic writing for the Shakespeare's Globe Theater
00:08:59.420 has argued that Queen Elizabeth I may have been non-binary too.
00:09:03.880 In an essay on the Globe's website, Trans Awareness Trainer, Dr. Kit Hyaman,
00:09:09.880 or Hyam, that's not really what's important.
00:09:13.300 What's important is Trans Awareness Trainer is a job title.
00:09:18.220 And this person referred to the Virgin Queen with they-them pronouns, saying,
00:09:24.800 Elizabeth I described themself regularly in speeches as king, queen, and prince.
00:09:30.540 The essay was published on Monday at August 8th and was published in defense of the portrayal
00:09:34.460 and said that the common portrayal of the story as pragmatic gender non-conformity
00:09:38.560 in a patriarchal world denies historical existences of trans experience.
00:09:43.280 The Leeds-based Dr. Hyam, whose pronouns are they, them, or he, him,
00:09:48.320 compared Queen Elizabeth I to 10th century English ruler Ethelflaed, Lady of the Mercians,
00:09:53.280 who ruled Mercia, what is now approximately the West Midlands, after the death of her husband.
00:09:57.460 Dr. Hyam said Ethelflaed was later described as conducting armies,
00:10:01.060 as if she had changed her sex to take on a male-coded military,
00:10:04.640 which was, in some sense, for Ethelflaed to become male.
00:10:07.260 The writer and academic says that Elizabeth I chose to strategically emphasize
00:10:11.620 their female identity or their male monarchical role at different points.
00:10:17.960 Now, essentially, what, just to clarify as much as we possibly can,
00:10:22.400 what these academics are arguing is that because these women of history
00:10:26.600 did things not traditionally associated with women,
00:10:31.300 or not traditionally expected of women,
00:10:33.820 they must not have been women.
00:10:35.780 As always, the trans cult works to rigidly and fanatically reinforce
00:10:41.160 the very gender binary that they pretend to be breaking down.
00:10:45.300 In their world, it's impossible that a woman might simply elect to do masculine things.
00:10:51.100 Because if a woman does act in such a way, then she's a man.
00:10:54.440 Or at least she's non-binary.
00:10:57.140 Either way, to sacrifice her femininity, even to the smallest degree,
00:11:01.120 is, according to trans activists, to sacrifice her very womanhood.
00:11:05.040 Now, we can easily see why they're so desperate
00:11:09.780 to find historical analogs for all of the gender identities
00:11:13.860 they've made up over the past 12 seconds.
00:11:17.160 They're desperate because they claim they didn't make any of this up.
00:11:20.720 They claim that people are born trans, born non-binary,
00:11:24.480 that these identities are deeply ingrained inside a person.
00:11:28.240 And if that's their claim, it becomes a rather significant problem
00:11:32.040 that these deeply ingrained and inherent identities
00:11:35.160 never made an appearance anywhere on Earth
00:11:38.560 for the whole history of the human species up until just now.
00:11:44.060 It's not just a problem.
00:11:46.100 In fact, history alone completely delegitimizes their entire worldview.
00:11:50.600 All of history testifies against them.
00:11:56.580 Their solution, therefore, is to retcon their worldview back into history.
00:12:01.560 It's to start draping rainbow flags over the tombs of our ancestors.
00:12:06.300 In some kind of perverse act of ideological necrophilia,
00:12:10.180 they violate the dead, dragging them into their sexual cult.
00:12:14.100 But their war on reality is not just, therefore, happening in the present.
00:12:20.660 It's also happening, all the more so, in the past.
00:12:25.380 Now let's get to our five headlines.
00:12:33.080 As international travel has picked up this year,
00:12:35.620 so too has the appeal for hackers to steal data from the travel industry.
00:12:39.560 The Marriott International Hotel Group announced that 20 gigabytes of sensitive data,
00:12:44.600 including guest credit cards and information, was stolen this past June.
00:12:48.740 It's important to understand how cybercrime and identity theft are affecting our lives.
00:12:52.580 Your personal information gets exposed so often that it's dangerously easy
00:12:55.520 for a cybercriminal to steal your identity.
00:12:57.940 You can protect your identity then, and you can do it easily with LifeLock by Norton.
00:13:02.520 LifeLock detects and alerts you to potential identity threats
00:13:05.180 that you may not be able to spot on your own,
00:13:07.140 like loans taken out in your name, for example.
00:13:09.960 If you do become a victim of identity theft,
00:13:12.000 there's a dedicated U.S.-based restoration specialist
00:13:14.980 that will work to fix it for you.
00:13:17.000 Nobody can prevent all identity theft
00:13:18.600 or monitor all transactions at all businesses all the time,
00:13:21.160 but it's easy to help protect yourself today with LifeLock.
00:13:24.540 Identity theft protection starts here.

00:13:34.980 Let's start with a little bit of political news.
00:13:38.120 Liz Cheney, it's hard to even call this news.
00:13:40.340 I think everyone was expecting this.
00:13:41.740 Liz Cheney lost her primary race by a large margin.
00:13:45.780 I have the margin in front of me.
00:13:46.840 It was big.
00:13:47.580 Everyone saw this coming.
00:13:49.300 And we have her speech afterwards where she,
00:13:51.900 well, first she compared herself to Abraham Lincoln.
00:13:55.020 And then this, I think, is the clip where she moves on to other Civil War figures
00:14:01.220 and continues this quite humble comparison.
00:14:05.400 Let's listen.
00:14:06.820 In May of 1864, after years of war and a string of reluctant Union generals,
00:14:14.440 Ulysses S. Grant met General Lee's forces at the Battle of the Wilderness.
00:14:18.620 In two days of heavy fighting, the Union suffered over 17,000 casualties.
00:14:25.020 At the end of that battle, General Grant faced a choice.
00:14:28.900 Most assumed he would do what previous Union generals had done and retreat.
00:14:35.180 On the evening of May 7th, Grant began to move.
00:14:39.440 As the fires of the battle still smoldered, Grant rode to the head of the column.
00:14:43.860 He rode to the intersection of Brock Road and Orange Plank Road.
00:14:49.120 And there, as the men of his army watched and waited,
00:14:53.660 instead of turning north back towards Washington and safety,
00:14:57.920 Grant turned his horse south toward Richmond and the heart of Lee's army.
00:15:03.320 Refusing to retreat, he pressed on to victory.
00:15:07.440 Lincoln and Grant and all who fought in our nation's tragic Civil War,
00:15:11.460 including my own great-great-grandfathers, saved our Union.
00:15:15.960 Their courage saved freedom.
00:15:18.840 And if we listen closely, they are speaking to us down the generations.
00:15:23.300 Okay, we can turn this off.
00:15:23.980 We must not...
00:15:24.940 Shut up, Liz.
00:15:26.760 This is one of the reasons that she lost, by the way,
00:15:30.660 is that she is, on top of everything else,
00:15:33.020 just, I could not think of someone more lacking in any kind of charisma.
00:15:39.320 Incredibly boring, you know.
00:15:40.960 So, and I think that actually is an important point here,
00:15:45.620 because now it's the question of, well, why did she lose?
00:15:49.880 And the narrative on the left, and even on the right, in some cases, in many cases, really,
00:15:55.620 is that Liz Cheney lost because she's a Trump critic.
00:16:00.140 And that's why she lost, is that she was going after Trump.
00:16:02.940 And now she's gone because you can't attack Trump in the Republican Party.
00:16:07.080 And again, on the left, like, that's the narrative that they want,
00:16:09.740 so that they can paint all, everybody on the right, and all conservatives,
00:16:14.100 they can say that, well, the entire conservative movement is really just about Trump.
00:16:17.780 And if you say anything about him, then, because it's one big cult,
00:16:21.980 and if you say anything about him, then you're out.
00:16:25.960 And there are some people on the right who seem to want to reinforce that perception.
00:16:32.000 But I actually don't think that's true.
00:16:36.420 Now, I can speak for myself.
00:16:38.780 I personally don't really care if a Republican criticizes Trump or not.
00:16:45.500 Okay?
00:16:45.980 That's not the litmus test for me.
00:16:49.220 The litmus test for me, when it comes to a conservative, a supposed alleged conservative,
00:16:53.700 is not their opinion about some other dude.
00:16:57.260 And I don't care who the other dude is.
00:16:59.800 Everybody knows I'm a supporter of Ron DeSantis.
00:17:02.460 I hope that he runs in 2024.
00:17:04.020 But if there was a conservative out there who doesn't like Ron DeSantis,
00:17:07.800 and there are conservatives out there who don't,
00:17:10.120 I'm not going to say, well, evict them.
00:17:12.300 No, you have to be on board with Ron DeSantis.
00:17:15.280 I might not agree with the criticism of DeSantis, but that's not the litmus test for me.
00:17:18.780 It's not your affinity or fealty to some other person, no matter who the person is.
00:17:27.600 The issue with Liz Cheney is not merely being a Trump critic.
00:17:32.740 The issue is, and the reason that she lost, is because she aligned herself completely with the left
00:17:41.320 and all of its narratives on every subject, including Trump.
00:17:46.880 Now, most prominently, we know that she was helping to lead the absurd multiple charges towards impeachment
00:17:54.300 and everything else, and we know everything that she's done with the January 6th theater.
00:17:59.240 That's part and parcel of Liz Cheney's entire career, which is to align herself,
00:18:08.700 while calling herself a conservative and Republican, to align herself with the left.
00:18:13.340 Her voting record also speaks to that.
00:18:15.560 And that is why she's out on her ass, deservedly so.
00:18:22.980 Because she serves no purpose.
00:18:27.080 She's not representing our interests.
00:18:29.700 She's not even trying to.
00:18:30.780 Now, the way that Trump becomes a central figure in that is that, and I don't think this is the case for Liz Cheney.
00:18:40.620 I mean, I don't think Liz Cheney has never actually been a conservative at any point.
00:18:44.260 There have been other conservatives, of course, who, at least for a while, pretended to be a conservative
00:18:50.820 and then lost their minds because of Trump, because they hate him so much
00:18:54.960 and have basically, just to spite him, have now adopted all of the left's talking points on every subject.
00:19:04.340 Even talking points that they, in some cases, spent their entire career trying to rebut.
00:19:09.880 And now, just because of Trump, they've gone completely over to the other side.
00:19:14.260 But that is the issue, again.
00:19:18.100 It's not just about criticizing Trump.
00:19:20.260 It's about, are you aligning yourself with the left's false narratives or not?
00:19:26.400 Or are you standing against them?
00:19:32.020 Speaking of aligning with the left, Dr. Oz is getting a lot of grief for this video.
00:19:37.820 Well, we played what I think is the worst, still think, will endure as maybe the worst political attack ad.
00:19:44.260 ever put out by a major campaign.
00:19:47.600 We played that yesterday from Oz going after Fetterman.
00:19:51.160 And this was a video from a few days before that.
00:19:54.200 And he's still getting a lot of grief for this.
00:19:57.800 This is his attempt, I guess, to relate to the common man.
00:20:02.200 But I don't know.
00:20:04.220 Things didn't exactly work out.
00:20:05.440 Let's watch first.
00:20:06.120 I thought I'd do some grocery shopping.
00:20:08.340 I'm at Wagner's.
00:20:09.280 And my wife wants some vegetables.
00:20:10.560 You're at where now?
00:20:11.600 For crudite, right?
00:20:12.800 So here's a broccoli.
00:20:14.540 For what now?
00:20:15.160 That's two bucks.
00:20:16.100 A ton of broccoli there.
00:20:17.920 Here's some asparagus.
00:20:18.940 That's $4.
00:20:20.380 Yep.
00:20:21.100 Carrots.
00:20:21.840 I don't even have a shopping cart.
00:20:23.100 That's four more dollars.
00:20:24.000 That's $10 of vegetables there.
00:20:26.020 And then we need some guacamole.
00:20:28.940 That's four dollars more.
00:20:29.040 It just stacks everything in their arms like that.
00:20:31.660 And who buys store-bought guacamole?
00:20:35.500 Must be as short as our salsa.
00:20:37.160 Guys, that's $20 for crudite.
00:20:39.380 And this doesn't include the tequila.
00:20:41.100 I mean, that's outrageous.
00:20:43.040 And we got Joe Biden to thank for this.
00:20:46.940 Okay, first of all, the salsa is expensive
00:20:48.820 because you're going for the expensive salsa
00:20:50.760 over in the produce section.
00:20:52.100 Just go over to the Mexican food section
00:20:53.580 with the salsa that comes in the glass jars.
00:20:56.360 And it'll be like half the price.
00:20:59.140 And I think it actually tastes better
00:21:01.040 than that kind of salsa
00:21:01.840 because the salsa in the produce section
00:21:03.540 is always under-seasoned, in my opinion,
00:21:05.440 and not nearly spicy enough.
00:21:07.740 And I guess I've always known
00:21:10.740 that there are freaks out there
00:21:12.200 who buy the store-made, pre-packaged guacamole.
00:21:16.240 I don't know who those freaks were,
00:21:17.580 but now we know.
00:21:18.280 Like, Dr. Oz is that guy.
00:21:20.240 You're in the produce section.
00:21:21.220 Go pick up a couple of avocados.
00:21:22.860 You know how easy it is to make guacamole?
00:21:24.800 And it's cheaper, too.
00:21:26.100 You're going to spend $6 on that little,
00:21:27.600 like a little shot glass size of guacamole.
00:21:29.760 Go get a couple of avocados and some cilantro.
00:21:32.360 You should have most of the stuff
00:21:33.660 already at your house.
00:21:34.420 A couple of limes, and you're good to go.
00:21:38.040 Now, he says he's at Wegner's,
00:21:41.420 which I don't think that's an actual grocery store.
00:21:46.080 I think that he's...
00:21:46.760 So that's a combination of what?
00:21:48.380 Wegman's and another grocery store.
00:21:50.040 And he's trying to make...
00:21:52.580 What is it?
00:21:53.800 Crudité?
00:21:55.200 I don't even know what crudité is.
00:21:57.960 Actually, let me look that up.
00:21:58.720 I don't know how to spell it.
00:21:59.440 I want to look it up to see what we're dealing with.
00:22:00.880 But crudité.
00:22:03.540 Okay, here it is.
00:22:05.720 Assorted raw vegetables served typically with a sauce
00:22:09.700 into which they may be dipped.
00:22:13.100 So a vegetable platter.
00:22:15.720 That's what normal people call it.
00:22:17.380 No one calls it...
00:22:18.400 Oh, we're having some crudité.
00:22:19.920 It's so you're making a vegetable platter.
00:22:22.780 And you're going to dip...
00:22:24.080 You're going to dip it in salt.
00:22:25.300 You're going to dip, what, carrots in salsa?
00:22:27.220 That doesn't even make any sense.
00:22:29.400 You can tell this guy has never been...
00:22:34.180 He hasn't been to a grocery store in like three decades.
00:22:38.040 And he's so out of touch that this is what he thinks people do.
00:22:41.400 He thinks that people go to the produce section to make crudité.
00:22:45.400 You couldn't have chosen a more like common dish...
00:22:50.380 How about I want to go make a salad?
00:22:52.140 So I'm in the grocery store to make a salad.
00:22:56.900 But this is who we got in Pennsylvania.
00:23:00.140 That's your guy if you're a Republican, right?
00:23:01.840 Supposedly.
00:23:03.880 All right.
00:23:04.980 NBC has this report.
00:23:06.380 It says,
00:23:06.880 Boston Children's Hospital has warned employees about mounting threats and is coordinating with law enforcement after far-right activists on social media began targeting the hospital with false claims about its treatment of young transgender people.
00:23:21.520 It's the most recent in a series of attempts to target hospitals for their work with trans youth, adding to an ongoing wave of anti-LGBTQ sentiment that has hit libraries, schools, and even a trans-inclusive Los Angeles spa.
00:23:34.460 The public relations office at Boston Children's Hospital sent an email to employees with guidance on how to respond to harassment and threats earlier this week, citing an increase of threatening and aggressive phone calls and emails sent to the hospital commenting on treatment of transgender patients.
00:23:51.000 The email was confirmed to NBC News by a current employee.
00:23:56.340 Just a sidebar here.
00:23:58.020 Always keep in mind, when they claim that threats are coming in, that they're being threatened, you can never take that claim at face value.
00:24:07.020 Of course, they're not above simply lying.
00:24:09.700 And what's more, we know what they consider a threat to be.
00:24:14.380 Right?
00:24:14.600 Any criticism is a threat.
00:24:16.700 It is, what was the word of the day that we learned yesterday?
00:24:20.300 It is, it is, stochastic terrorism is what it is.
00:24:27.220 So we already know that any, any criticism is an act of terrorism.
00:24:31.400 And so when you hear all of these, these news reports now lamenting the, the threats that are coming in against Boston Children's Hospital, always keep that in mind.
00:24:41.240 It continues, Boston Children's Hospital first became the target of activists in recent weeks when well-followed social media accounts, such as libs of TikTok, which has often promoted the groomers discourse that falsely linked LGBTQ teachers and parents to pedophilia, began to make a variety of false claims.
00:25:00.140 But we have to stop there, first of all, the groomer, the so-called groomers discourse links teachers and many other people on the left to grooming specifically.
00:25:16.660 Okay?
00:25:17.200 It links them to conditioning and sexualizing and grooming.
00:25:21.180 So when we accuse someone of being a groomer, that's what we're accusing them of.
00:25:26.380 Now, as far as actual pedophilia and the sexual abuse and rape of children, well, yeah, there is a connection between, in fact, a large number of teachers and that.
00:25:39.600 And that's not a connection that we're drawing or making up, that that's an actual epidemic in the school system of the sexual abuse of children by school staff.
00:25:51.180 The Department of Education did their own report about it decades ago and found that there are tens of thousands of victims in the school system of sexual abuse by school staff and teachers.
00:26:06.180 That was back in, what was that, 2004, 2005.
00:26:09.160 Do we think it's gotten better since then?
00:26:10.980 Do these problems ever get better on their own if they're not addressed?
00:26:14.840 If it is revealed that there is an epidemic of sexual abuse within an institution and there are not serious, far-reaching steps taken to address the epidemic, does it just go away or does it continue to fester and get worse?
00:26:30.760 I think we know.
00:26:31.260 So, but both of those things, whether it's teachers grooming their students and bragging about it publicly or the actual sexual abuse of students, this is not something Libs of TikTok invented.
00:26:43.080 I didn't invent it.
00:26:45.380 This is just a fact.
00:26:46.660 Continue, it says, one allegation said that the hospital offered gender-affirming hysterectomies to children under 18 years old.
00:26:56.020 Conservative influencers with millions of followers pushed similar false talking points and fanned the flames further.
00:27:03.020 And then it goes on, the article goes on, quoting from the hospital, saying that this is a false narrative, it doesn't happen.
00:27:12.320 And here's a quote, it says, in response to commentary last week, critical of our gender multi-specialty service,
00:27:19.780 Boston Children's Hospital has been the target of a large volume of hostile internet activity, phone calls, and harassing emails,
00:27:25.680 including threats of violence towards our clinicians and staff.
00:27:28.660 This was a Boston Children's Hospital, they just sent this out in an email.
00:27:31.720 We are deeply concerned by these attacks on our clinicians and staff, fueled by misinformation and a lack of understanding and a respect for our transgender community.
00:27:40.640 Boston Children's is proud to be home to the first pediatric and adolescent transgender health program in the United States.
00:27:47.080 Well, as we talked about yesterday, this is nothing but obfuscation on their part.
00:27:54.640 Right, they're homing in on this one, there were dozens of videos that Boston Children's Hospital published themselves.
00:28:03.600 They put the videos out there, and all that any conservative on social media did was just take the videos and say,
00:28:11.160 hey guys, look at these videos, look at what they're saying in the videos.
00:28:14.780 Only one of the videos dealt with so-called gender-affirming hysterectomies.
00:28:22.700 But that's all they're responding to, because they feel safe there.
00:28:26.420 They can say, oh, we don't do that, we wait until you're 18, because that's perfectly fine, to do it at an 18-year-old.
00:28:34.100 What they're ignoring and not addressing is that almost all of these other procedures they inflict on children,
00:28:41.200 including top surgery, double mastectomies, which are performed on girls all the way down to the 12 and 13 across the country,
00:28:51.160 in many different hospitals and clinics.
00:28:52.360 But here's the point.
00:28:58.000 Again, I'm not going to accept on face value that there are actual threats,
00:29:03.280 that there's a rash of actual, like people saying, oh, we're going to blow up the hospital and that sort of thing.
00:29:07.580 Because that's when they say threat, that's what they want you to imagine, whether that's actually happening or not.
00:29:11.820 So putting that to the side, the alleged threats, what I do know that Boston Children's Hospital is receiving
00:29:20.460 is an avalanche of angry emails and calls from people who are disgusted by what they're doing to children.
00:29:31.460 There are a lot of very angry people who are calling them out and calling them to account and demanding that they explain themselves
00:29:40.080 and justify, not that they possibly could.
00:29:45.460 And that is exactly what should happen.
00:29:50.940 Okay.
00:29:51.720 The fact that Boston Children's Hospital is bragging about mutilating and drugging kids
00:29:56.180 and now has to face this enormous nationwide backlash, that's not a sign that we're collapsing as a society.
00:30:07.340 The fact that Boston Children's Hospital is doing this to kids, that's the sign that we're falling apart as a society.
00:30:14.180 But people responding angrily to that, that's a sign of societal health.
00:30:20.260 In a healthy society, it wouldn't just be Boston Children's Hospital.
00:30:25.440 That's the real problem here.
00:30:27.360 It's not that Boston Children's Hospital is the target of anger from us.
00:30:34.300 It's that all these other hospitals have so far gotten off scot-free.
00:30:41.480 In a healthy society, when kids are being drugged and mutilated and castrated and sterilized,
00:30:51.440 the people that are doing this are going to hear about it.
00:30:56.620 And they're going to be the subject of, at a minimum, enormous anger from the public.
00:31:04.300 And that's the way that it should be.
00:31:07.460 And you know what?
00:31:08.260 There's a real simple solution.
00:31:10.000 Here's the good news.
00:31:11.520 If you're at Boston Children's Hospital or if you work at a gender-affirming clinic anywhere in the country
00:31:16.760 and you're worried that people are going to start sending you angry emails and calling you
00:31:23.460 and calling you out on social media and everything else, here's the good news.
00:31:28.000 There's a real easy solution.
00:31:29.700 And that is a stop doing that to the kids.
00:31:34.940 Stop hurting kids.
00:31:38.100 And this problem for you goes away.
00:31:40.960 Stop hurting kids.
00:31:43.460 It's the same thing for the teachers who are bragging about sexually indoctrinating their students.
00:31:47.720 And now they're fretting and saying, well, when I brag about sexually indoctrinating my students,
00:31:54.020 everyone's mad at me.
00:31:55.180 What do I do?
00:31:55.880 This is terrible.
00:31:56.380 I'm a victim.
00:31:58.800 Well, stop sexually indoctrinating your students.
00:32:01.520 And you wouldn't have this issue.
00:32:05.900 Okay?
00:32:06.460 We are reacting in a normal and healthy way to what you are confessing,
00:32:11.180 what you are admitting to doing.
00:32:14.340 So stop doing that and this wouldn't be a problem.
00:32:18.420 Moving on to this.
00:32:19.240 We know that there's a fleet of new IRS agents coming down the pike here.
00:32:23.800 87,000 to be specific.
00:32:26.720 And recently the job listing for these new agents went viral with some troubling details.
00:32:33.280 In fact, the IRS is looking for apparently agents who will carry a gun and use deadly force.
00:32:39.560 If you, so if you forgot to, I don't know, claim your kid's lemonade stand income last year,
00:32:46.220 or if you had a, if you had a garage sale, if you had a yard sale and sold some old pairs of jeans
00:32:53.180 and like an old toaster and you didn't claim it, well, watch out because they're empowered to use deadly force.
00:32:59.560 Now, this, this recruitment ad, this job listing went viral.
00:33:03.000 Of course, the media is running cover for them with some important context.
00:33:07.180 Here's Market Watch saying with the headline,
00:33:09.980 yes, the IRS is hiring criminal investigators empowered to use deadly force,
00:33:13.720 but here's some important context.
00:33:16.500 What is the context?
00:33:18.040 They say the Internal Revenue Services operations are catching heat as the tax agency is in line
00:33:22.080 for an $80 billion budget boost under the Democrats' proposed spending plan.
00:33:26.380 And now there's intense attention being focused on IRS workers who actually pack heat.
00:33:31.420 It started as criticism from Republican leaders that the tax collecting agency would bring on 87,000 new employees
00:33:36.520 to target regular everyday Americans, quote unquote, with the $80 billion earmarked for the IRS
00:33:40.740 and the Inflation Reduction Act reconciliation bill, which looks poised to become law.
00:33:44.700 But that's a misleading claim, according to the Associated Press.
00:33:48.420 The bill passed in a 220, 207 vote of the House of Representatives, so on and so forth.
00:33:55.160 What I'm looking for is the, where's the important context?
00:33:57.740 So we've got a lot of information here and a lot of claims,
00:34:00.060 but we're supposed to be getting important context that makes it less terrifying
00:34:04.180 that they're recruiting IRS agents to use deadly force against Americans.
00:34:08.680 So I'm skimming through.
00:34:11.440 Okay.
00:34:13.640 Here we go.
00:34:15.580 It says, though the job is really about sniffing out,
00:34:18.540 so this is the IRS Criminal Investigation Division.
00:34:21.340 Though the job is really about sniffing out income and accounting irregularities to build legal cases,
00:34:27.760 one of the potential duties is conducting or participating in surveillance,
00:34:31.600 armed escorts, dignitary protection, undercover operations,
00:34:35.720 execution of search and arrest warrants, seizures, etc.
00:34:38.680 There are 300 vacancies for that role, which pays between $50,000 and about $90,000 annually,
00:34:43.060 according to the list.
00:34:44.240 Though the job listing drew new attention this week,
00:34:46.080 requiring some IRS agents to potentially use deadly force is nothing new.
00:34:49.620 An IRS Criminal Investigation Spokeswoman confirmed.
00:34:52.840 Okay.
00:34:54.100 Well, I'm glad we could finally get to that.
00:34:55.600 So that is the missing context.
00:34:57.200 That's the important information that we need.
00:34:59.840 That makes this all better.
00:35:01.580 It's like, no, no, no.
00:35:02.240 The IRS, they've been shooting and killing people for a long time.
00:35:04.700 This is not new.
00:35:05.640 We've already been doing this.
00:35:07.300 So everything's fine.
00:35:09.900 Oh, okay.
00:35:10.500 Well, I guess that makes it okay.
00:35:12.360 No, actually, it is still terrifying until,
00:35:16.700 here's the encouraging part.
00:35:19.620 So depending on how you look at it, maybe this is encouraging.
00:35:23.300 Representative Thomas Massey published some photos that he found from the IRS's recruitment class.
00:35:31.180 And this is, these are the people that they're bringing in
00:35:33.900 and recruiting to be in their criminal investigation division.
00:35:37.000 And these are the people that are going to be equipped to use deadly force.
00:35:40.300 So we've got the tweet here.
00:35:42.220 And you can look at, do we have the individual photos?
00:35:46.900 You can, you can, you can look at, okay, let's, okay, stop right there for a second.
00:35:51.480 So here we go.
00:35:52.840 First of all, all right.
00:35:53.900 So where to begin?
00:35:57.400 And what, what am I allowed to say here without getting banned?
00:36:00.860 That's the real question.
00:36:05.140 So these are the people that they're equipping with deadly force.
00:36:08.260 These are going to be the IRS warriors.
00:36:11.200 So we've got four women and an individual in a wheelchair and apparently, and the, you know,
00:36:19.080 the individual in the wheelchair, he is, he is, he's having a great time and that's fine
00:36:21.800 because having fun is the most important thing.
00:36:23.740 They tell you at the IRS, that's the first thing they tell you is the most important thing
00:36:28.220 is to have fun while you're shooting delinquent taxpayers.
00:36:31.840 And apparently they're training the IRS agents to shoot people in the back.
00:36:38.680 So he's pointing the gun right at somebody's back whose hands are behind his back.
00:36:43.880 And then you've got the other women in the back who are just kind of standing around.
00:36:48.220 And I guess they figure, well, hey, this, this is already taken care of.
00:36:50.520 We're going to take this guy out.
00:36:52.000 That's what you get for discrepancies on your W-2.
00:36:55.960 And then, but the more concerning picture is in that, can we go to the next picture?
00:36:59.200 Dear God.
00:37:04.100 Again, it's a question of where do we even begin?
00:37:07.520 We've got, this is kind of a fun game here to go through and like point out all of the
00:37:14.220 gun safety violations that you can find in this picture.
00:37:18.920 Not very good trigger discipline.
00:37:20.700 My main problem is with the, the girl right up front there, the way that she's holding the
00:37:25.700 firearm.
00:37:26.160 Now, I don't claim to be an expert.
00:37:28.480 You know, I'm a firearm.
00:37:30.000 I'm a, I'm a gun owner myself and I have taken some classes, but I'm claiming to be an expert
00:37:34.320 on this.
00:37:35.000 And yet I look at that and immediately I think, well, that is not proper form for holding a
00:37:39.380 firearm.
00:37:39.920 That is how you hold like a cup of hot cocoa.
00:37:43.440 That's how you hold a venti latte at, uh, at Starbucks.
00:37:47.880 That's not how you hold a gun.
00:37:49.740 Cause you're still going to, here's what's going to happen.
00:37:51.600 She's going to fire.
00:37:52.480 If that was a real gun and she's pointing it at somebody's back because they didn't claim
00:37:56.740 something on their taxes, she's going to fire it.
00:37:59.340 And then the recoil, especially because this is a small kind of frail woman, you know,
00:38:03.620 she's going to fire the recoil.
00:38:05.020 It's going to go right back into her face.
00:38:07.260 That's what's going to happen.
00:38:08.040 And then you've got Charlie's angels in the back there.
00:38:13.160 She's holding the gun up.
00:38:14.340 She's ready to go.
00:38:16.240 And then you've got the woman all the way in the back and the, on the back of the wall
00:38:20.740 there, she appears to be pointing the gun at the woman in front who's holding the gun
00:38:26.020 the wrong way.
00:38:28.040 Is that the penalty for bad form when holding a firearm is that you just get shot on the
00:38:33.020 spot at the IRS?
00:38:34.180 So maybe this is the good news.
00:38:39.500 And then we have one more.
00:38:41.500 Well, these are obviously physically fit.
00:38:43.180 I mean, these are warriors right here.
00:38:47.040 So maybe this is the, here's the good news.
00:38:48.860 Maybe that if the IRS comes to your house, they're going to end up shooting each other
00:38:55.780 before they can shoot you.
00:38:58.440 Not good news for your carpet and your furniture and all the cleanup you're going to have to do.
00:39:02.940 But I don't think you have to worry about these people exactly.
00:39:07.260 All right, let's get to our comment section.
00:39:09.960 Who makes a Twitter mob fly off the handle with rage?
00:39:15.880 Who's to blame?
00:39:18.740 It's a sweet baby gang.
00:39:23.560 Andre says, Matt, on the work from home issue, I want to raise you two points you haven't brought up.
00:39:28.580 One, work from home enables city dwellers like myself with tech jobs to finally move out and to the countryside.
00:39:35.540 And two, homeschooling, even for kids that attend public slash private schools, investing the time you would otherwise spend on a commute into your children.
00:39:42.460 I see that benefit outweighing the cons.
00:39:45.960 Well, I agree with you on both counts.
00:39:47.280 That's why I was saying yesterday about the work from home issue.
00:39:48.960 Again, as someone who did work from home for years, there are definitely potentially benefits for it.
00:39:55.700 But all of the benefits really come from the free time.
00:39:59.640 Because in a typical office environment, you are potentially wasting a lot of time.
00:40:06.000 And that's not just the commute, but all the pointless meetings and everything.
00:40:09.680 And in a lot of offices, there are people that are constantly looking to justify their jobs.
00:40:15.400 And so they're calling meetings that aren't necessary, and they're just wasting everyone's time.
00:40:19.180 And yeah, to be able to avoid that and yet still do your job, I can see the benefit.
00:40:24.700 And then you're freeing up all that extra time.
00:40:26.660 But then it becomes a question of what are you using the extra time for?
00:40:29.960 And I think the unfortunate reality is that for so many of us, whether we work from home or not,
00:40:36.480 because of modern luxuries and conveniences, we can free up a lot of time.
00:40:41.580 But then we end up just giving that time back to the very technology that freed it up for us.
00:40:50.440 So that's the thing about the technology.
00:40:52.240 The technology is self-interested, right?
00:40:54.260 It's very selfish.
00:40:55.060 It's like it doesn't want to help you just for you.
00:40:57.300 It wants to help you so that you have more time to give to it.
00:41:00.740 And I think that becomes a problem.
00:41:03.160 All right.
00:41:04.380 Another comment says,
00:41:05.060 One thing I liked about working from home during the COVID lockdown is that I could listen to Sweet Daddy Walsh ruthlessly cancel people and throw down truth bombs during the workday.
00:41:13.380 It's torture to have to wait till after work hours during the drive from home.
00:41:16.720 That is a good point.
00:41:17.620 That is, and I should have mentioned that.
00:41:19.340 That is obviously the number one advantage from working from home.
00:41:22.340 That does cancel out all the other potential negatives, is that you can listen to the show whenever you want.
00:41:28.860 Jillian says,
00:41:29.740 We just don't want to take the word childless because we made a conscious decision to not have children.
00:41:57.520 And the term childless should belong to those who wanted them and grieve that they haven't been able to.
00:42:02.880 It's not malicious intent.
00:42:04.160 Child-free folks also do not hate children, at least the majority of us don't.
00:42:07.460 And we just don't want any of our own.
00:42:09.700 Also, most child-free are that way due to financial reasons.
00:42:12.400 I'm a big advocate for making sure you're in a stable place before forcing someone into existence.
00:42:16.700 The baby shouldn't be relied on to fix all of your problems in marriage, etc.
00:42:20.260 They're a huge, huge commitment beyond infancy, and so many don't even see that.
00:42:23.280 They just think, I want a cute baby.
00:42:24.600 They don't think about how much work goes into it.
00:42:26.780 It's a life commitment.
00:42:28.000 Okay.
00:42:30.740 Obviously, I agree with you that it's a lifelong commitment.
00:42:33.340 You say that the child-free community is not anti-child or doesn't hate children.
00:42:41.320 I believe that that's the case for you, but just go to any so-called child-free forum.
00:42:49.080 And the thing is, I can't spend a lot of time on those forums, but I haven't looked at them before.
00:42:52.600 And that's like all you see is just people who despise kids and really do see them as a disease.
00:43:00.380 I understand your distinction between childless and child-free, but that's the reason why most people use the term child-free is because they want to look at it as a pause.
00:43:14.800 I am free of the burden of children.
00:43:16.680 That's what it means, right?
00:43:17.560 I'm child-free.
00:43:19.000 I think the fact that it has a similar ring to cancer-free is not a coincidence.
00:43:26.740 And also, just once again, the fact that if you don't end up having kids for whatever reason, that's one thing.
00:43:38.400 That's always happened in history.
00:43:39.520 There have always been people who don't end up having children, of course.
00:43:41.600 But when it becomes part of your identity, I'm not saying that's the case for you, but the very fact that there is something called the child-free community, and they have forums, and they have, you know, like you're defining yourself by your lack of something.
00:44:00.320 That, I think, is the most troubling thing.
00:44:05.460 Let's see.
00:44:06.380 Evan says, I'm a pretentious, a fet former academic.
00:44:10.560 So I can tell you that some of the jargon these people use in the academic sense, stochastic literally means something that may or may not happen.
00:44:18.780 No, seriously, that's what it means.
00:44:20.200 It doesn't even mean that something is statistically probable.
00:44:22.660 It just means that it's possible.
00:44:24.800 That's actually a really important point, too, because when I originally heard this term stochastic terrorism, the first thing that I did was, I admit, I'd never heard the term stochastic before.
00:44:35.000 It just had never come across it.
00:44:36.920 No one had ever used it in my presence.
00:44:38.720 And so I looked up stochastic, and that's what I found.
00:44:41.400 It's that stochastic actually means, as you say, according to the dictionary, something that's random, just like it could happen.
00:44:47.420 Maybe it won't, but maybe it won't.
00:44:49.060 Yet stochastic terrorism means that you're demonizing someone, leading to potentially violence.
00:45:04.240 And so that's where, yeah, the term stochastic is actually important.
00:45:07.140 Because what they're saying is that if you say something that could or could not compel someone to violence, then you're a terrorist.
00:45:16.980 But obviously by design here, well, then that means that, like, everyone's a terrorist.
00:45:25.380 Because it's possible, it's theoretically possible that anything you say at all could drive some maniac to go do something.
00:45:35.980 It's theoretically possible.
00:45:39.700 And so they give themselves the framework to just paint us all as terrorists, which obviously is the point.
00:45:44.840 Are you still giving your money to woke razor companies that hate your values and see masculinity as toxic and think that you should teach your daughter to shave her beard?
00:45:53.760 Well, there is a better way.
00:45:55.160 Jeremy's razors are 100% real and 100% woke free.
00:45:59.100 The premium matte tungsten handle has more heft than the left.
00:46:02.280 The razor head pivots without caving and has six blades that are sharper than truth.
00:46:07.140 Those other razor companies keep virtue signaling to the totalitarian left and using your money to do it at the same time.
00:46:12.340 But you don't have to let them.
00:46:13.900 When you buy Jeremy's razors, you aren't just making Jeremy richer.
00:46:16.680 You're making the woke left poorer, which is even more important.
00:46:19.800 75,000 people have already made the switch.
00:46:22.240 You can, too.
00:46:22.820 Visit IHateHarrys.com to get your Founders Series Shave Kit today.
00:46:26.580 That's IHateHarrys.com.
00:46:28.240 Jeremy's razors, shut up and shave.
00:46:30.700 Now let's get to our daily cancellation.
00:46:31.800 Recently, Serena Williams retired from tennis.
00:46:40.020 And for most athletes, you know, after a long and successful career, retirement is a time for bittersweet reflection.
00:46:47.580 It's a time for gratitude.
00:46:50.280 But gratitude has never quite been the Serena Williams way, I suppose.
00:46:54.640 Neither has maturity, nor dignity, nor likability.
00:46:57.640 And so Serena, staying true to form, is riding into the sunset with her $260 million net worth and whining the whole way out.
00:47:06.380 In fact, she says that her retirement is not prompted by her age, but by sexism.
00:47:12.200 CNBC reports,
00:47:13.000 Tennis legend Serena Williams has been a fierce advocate for gender equality both on and off the court.
00:47:18.600 And when she announced her retirement from the sport Tuesday morning, she made an important point about the unique sacrifices women must make in their careers.
00:47:26.140 In a Vogue article, Williams, who turns 41 next month, said that she will retire after the U.S. Open, which begins in late August.
00:47:32.440 The win at the tournament would tie her with Margaret Court's record of 24 Grand Slam titles.
00:47:37.220 Quote,
00:47:38.180 I have never liked the word retirement, Williams wrote in the article, which was transcribed from her conversation with Vogue contributor Rob Haskell.
00:47:44.500 Maybe the best word to describe what I'm up to is evolution.
00:47:47.320 I'm here to tell you that I'm evolving away from tennis toward other things that are important to me.
00:47:52.880 Okay, well, so far so good, right?
00:47:55.040 That's all fine, I guess.
00:47:56.640 Almost.
00:47:57.560 I mean, the whole, I'm not retiring, I'm evolving bit is pretty annoying and pretentious, but I'm willing to overlook it.
00:48:03.480 And actually, I looked up the full quote.
00:48:05.640 Serena Williams actually said that she would describe herself as in the middle of a transition, but she doesn't want to use that word because she doesn't want to appropriate it from trans people.
00:48:15.900 That's what she said.
00:48:17.220 But we're going to let that go because we have other problems to deal with.
00:48:20.520 The article continues.
00:48:22.120 Williams cited her family as the main reason why she'll step away from the sport, writing that her four-year-old daughter, Olympia, wants to be a big sister.
00:48:28.740 Williams has been married to Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian since 2017.
00:48:35.060 The desire to expand her family, however, wouldn't be a career-ending move if she were a man, Williams points out.
00:48:40.240 Believe me, I never wanted to have to choose between tennis and a family, she wrote.
00:48:44.280 I don't think it's fair.
00:48:45.500 If I were a guy, I wouldn't be writing this because I'd be out there playing and winning while my wife was doing the physical labor of expanding our family.
00:48:53.080 Maybe I'd be more of a Tom Brady if I had that opportunity.
00:48:55.380 Okay, so there's the problem.
00:48:59.740 And it's difficult to know exactly how to respond to that because it's so crushingly stupid and incoherent.
00:49:07.400 It's also self-contradictory as she was just worried about being sensitive to trans people.
00:49:12.440 And now here she is making the transphobic claim that men don't have babies.
00:49:17.180 And that's very problematic.
00:49:18.720 But that aside, it's not clear what her complaint is exactly.
00:49:23.220 Like, she whines that men don't have to do the physical labor of expanding the family.
00:49:29.100 But what does that mean?
00:49:31.040 Is she referring to the fact that women are more likely to be the primary caretakers of children?
00:49:38.560 Well, that can't be it because she has hundreds of millions of dollars and certainly already has an army of nannies and various other servants on standby.
00:49:45.040 She's not home every day raising her current four-year-old daughter.
00:49:47.760 She's obviously made arrangements there.
00:49:49.020 So why couldn't she do the same thing for the next child?
00:49:52.560 When you've got $200 million in the bank, there's no reason why, if you don't want it to, there's no reason why having a kid would stop you from doing anything you want to do.
00:50:01.620 If you have no problem with having a nanny raise them.
00:50:06.060 Or is she, when she says physical labor, is she actually referring to the labor of labor?
00:50:12.840 Or is she talking about the fact that women are the ones who physically bear and deliver children?
00:50:18.340 Well, we can only assume that that's what she meant.
00:50:20.660 And if so, her complaint is less petty and selfish than it is just insane.
00:50:26.600 I mean, it's not fair that women are the ones who give birth?
00:50:30.200 What?
00:50:31.140 What do you mean not fair?
00:50:32.920 Who are you registering this complaint with exactly?
00:50:36.380 Nature?
00:50:37.160 God?
00:50:37.480 Or do you imagine that human reproduction is a patriarchal conspiracy, as if sinister white men in smoky rooms conspired to set things up this way?
00:50:48.060 Calling a woman's role in human reproduction unfair is like saying it's unfair that birds can fly and we can't.
00:50:56.820 Or it's unfair that gumdrops don't fall from the sky when it rains.
00:51:01.500 It's unfair that there isn't actually a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
00:51:05.980 An unfair thing is a thing that happens outside of the rules or not in accordance with the principles of justice.
00:51:14.800 That's what's unfair.
00:51:16.000 So what rule, what principle of justice is violated by the nature of human reproduction?
00:51:24.480 Any claim of unfairness is an appeal to some higher authority or principle.
00:51:28.480 So again, who or what is being appealed to here?
00:51:31.800 To top it all off, Serena is bitterly complaining about a pregnancy that hasn't happened yet.
00:51:37.620 She's going to try to get pregnant, potentially having to use medical assistance, given her age, and yet she's complaining the whole way,
00:51:43.940 as if the thing she's planning to do in the future and says she wants to do is nonetheless going to happen against her will.
00:51:49.260 It makes no sense.
00:51:51.380 Well, that's not exactly true.
00:51:52.500 So I can make some sense of this.
00:51:57.160 Serena Williams, like any sufficiently modern and progressive Western person, hates herself and she rejects herself.
00:52:07.800 See, the way she sees it is that her femaleness is somehow apart from her true self.
00:52:17.020 Right, like there's herself, there's her, and then there's her femaleness.
00:52:23.300 And her femaleness intrudes on her true self, causing inconveniences and interfering with her tennis career.
00:52:31.020 She does not see herself as a completely integrated whole.
00:52:36.100 And that's because nobody on the left does.
00:52:37.820 They divide themselves into pieces and put aspects of themselves at war with other aspects of themselves.
00:52:48.020 They become bitter and sullen, feeling somehow persecuted by nature itself.
00:52:53.740 Though they can't explain how, and they don't know who to complain to about it.
00:52:56.700 And the great shame in Serena's case, and in the case of so many leftist women, is that while she's doing all this complaining, you know, she's failing to see the blessing.
00:53:10.060 She sees as a curse what is really a blessing.
00:53:13.240 A woman's ability to conceive, to harbor and bring forth new life onto the earth is a beautiful, miraculous gift.
00:53:20.460 And you know what, it's something far more significant and important than swinging a tennis racket around.
00:53:28.640 So it's not just that she's complaining and whining about it.
00:53:33.220 Why do I have to be the one to give birth?
00:53:37.080 Well, that's one way of looking at it, I guess.
00:53:39.200 But the healthier way of looking at it, the way that has more gratitude and will make you a happier person, that also makes a lot more sense, is to say, I get to be the one.
00:53:53.440 You know, I have been blessed with this enormous gift and also power that men don't have.
00:53:59.920 But as we already discussed, gratitude is unfortunately far outside the reach of people like Serena Williams.
00:54:11.200 And that is why she is today, on the cusp of her retirement, canceled.
00:54:17.020 And we will not leave it there for today.
00:54:19.400 We, in fact, will go now to our next segment, our members-only segment.
00:54:23.080 And if you are not a member, then go to dailywire.com, become a member, and we'll see you over there.
00:54:29.920 We'll see you next time.
