The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 1107 - CBS Airs Satanic Ritual In Prime Time

00:00:00.000 Today on The Matt Walsh Show, CBS airs a satanic ritual in primetime during the Grammys last night.

00:00:04.760 We'll talk about our culture's continued slide into outright satanism.

00:00:08.020 Also, the Chinese balloon saga finally comes to an end.

00:00:10.880 But was the whole story just one big diversion tactic?

00:00:13.840 A medical researcher admits that he was wrong about COVID.

00:00:16.260 Should we forgive and forget?

00:00:17.820 And in our daily cancellation, I provoked enormous controversy with my provocative claim that men want loving and appreciative wives.

00:00:25.060 People are very upset about this.

00:00:26.280 I will address the controversy today.

00:00:27.900 All of that and much more on The Matt Walsh Show.

00:00:30.000 Despite the U.S. blowing through $31.4 trillion debt ceilings in January, the leftist White House still refuses to reduce spending.

00:00:45.580 If you're tired of the government playing games with your savings and your retirement plan, then you need to get in touch with the experts at Birch Gold today.

00:01:20.140 That's Walsh to 989898 today.

00:01:23.060 Well, the most shocking thing about the Grammy Awards last night was that apparently they're still doing the Grammy Awards.

00:01:29.320 The second most shocking thing is that from what I read this morning, they gave the Song of the Year honor to Bonnie Raitt,

00:01:34.740 who's a talented and soulful musical artist who actually deserves the recognition.

00:01:38.800 She was able to go up to the stage by herself to accept the award because she wrote and performed the song herself.

00:01:44.240 Compare that to, say, Beyonce, who needs 97 songwriters and 3,000 producers to manufacture her music through an assembly line-like process.

00:01:53.040 But Bonnie Raitt is not the person we're supposed to be celebrating today.

00:01:56.620 Our adulation is supposed to be focused primarily on the singers Kim Petras and Sam Smith.

00:02:01.500 They're both white males, but their win is in the best pop duo category, supposed to be a victory for diversity and inclusion,

00:02:10.860 as these are white males who self-identify as something other than white males.

00:02:16.380 Sam Smith claims to be non-binary, while Kim Petras identifies as a transgender woman, quote, unquote.

00:02:22.780 Here is Petras accepting the award and congratulating himself for his historic achievement.

00:02:28.420 Listen.

00:02:28.920 Sam graciously wanted me to accept this award because I'm the first transgender woman to win this award.

00:02:40.920 And I'm so...

00:02:45.140 Thank you.

00:02:50.080 And I just want to thank all the incredible transgender legends before me who kicked these doors open for me so I could be here tonight.

00:03:03.380 Well, he's not the first male to win the award.

00:03:05.800 He's probably not the first male who dresses like a woman to win it. 0.99

00:03:09.240 But he is the first male winner who claims to be a woman.

00:03:12.420 And this is supposed to be a historic achievement.

00:03:14.660 But here's a perhaps more interesting point about Kim Petras, born Tim Petras.

00:03:19.260 He got gender reassignment, quote, unquote, surgery at the age of 16.

00:03:23.020 In fact, back in 2009, the then aspiring pop star did a media tour where he was celebrated for having the courage to live as his true self with the aid of, you know, genital mutilation and drugs and all the rest of it.

00:03:34.180 Here's a clip from an interview on a British talk show back then.

00:03:37.520 But it's not just the scale of her ambition that makes young Kim very extraordinary.

00:03:44.860 Well, Kim was born Tim and is believed to be the youngest person in the world to have had a sex change.

00:03:50.640 And she joins us now.

00:03:51.860 And it's lovely to have you here.

00:03:52.660 Thank you very much indeed.

00:03:53.900 Thank you very much.

00:03:54.060 Thank you for having me.

00:03:54.680 So you were born in 1992 in Cologne in Germany.

00:03:58.260 Right.

00:03:58.440 And we've met a number of people who've been in a sort of similar position who've sat where you're sitting and all have said from the word go, there was no question that they knew precisely what they were.

00:04:10.540 They were trapped in the wrong body.

00:04:12.860 That's right.

00:04:13.560 I always knew it.

00:04:15.080 You know, when I was a little kid, I was always wanting pink dresses, Barbie, everything.

00:04:19.760 Well, there you have it.

00:04:20.820 You like pink dresses.

00:04:21.660 You like Barbie.

00:04:23.240 Clearly proof that he was born in the wrong body, whatever the hell that's supposed to mean exactly.

00:04:27.340 But his doctors couldn't give him a new body because such a thing is impossible.

00:04:31.780 You can't have a new body.

00:04:32.980 You only have the body that you're born with.

00:04:34.760 All they could do is mutilate the one and the only body that he has or will ever have.

00:04:40.280 And that's what they did at the age of 16.

00:04:42.140 Now, keep this in mind when the left claims that these procedures aren't being performed on minors.

00:04:47.460 One of the biggest now Grammy award-winning pop stars in the country is a male who had his gender reassigned or confirmed, according to the updated euphemisms, as a minor.

00:04:58.900 And this was back in 2009 when the medical guidelines were stricter than they are today, though obviously they were not nearly strict enough even then.

00:05:05.960 Now, the song that won the award is aptly titled Unholy, and the two award-winning males performed it for the assembled audience after they won this award.

00:05:15.480 Madonna, who with each passing day comes to more and more resemble the creepy puppet from the Saw franchise, introduced the duo, who then launched into a blatantly demonic performance.

00:05:26.240 The whole thing was designed to look like some kind of satanic sex ritual with fire and devil horns and BDSM themes and Sam Smith dressed like Satan.

00:05:36.160 Here's a clip, and make sure you pay attention all the way to the end of this clip.

00:05:39.840 Watch.

00:05:56.240 The satanic ritual brought to you by Pfizer.

00:06:09.860 A little too on the nose, I have to say.

00:06:12.240 Now, needless to say, the main reason they went all in with the campy party city devil costumes and demonic imagery and all of that is that they want attention. 0.98

00:06:22.460 Sam Smith is the same guy who just released a music video that shows him parading around at a piss orgy drinking urine. 0.96

00:06:29.100 He's desperate to be noticed and will do literally whatever it takes.

00:06:33.180 He certainly can't rely on the quality of his music to speak for itself.

00:06:36.220 I mean, putting aside the Satanist stuff, just listen to the lyrics from that unholy song that we just heard a clip of.

00:06:42.860 Lyrics.

00:06:43.940 Mommy don't know daddy's getting hot at the body shop doing something unholy.

00:06:48.740 He sat back while she's dropping it.

00:06:50.660 She'd be popping it.

00:06:52.320 Yeah, she put it down slowly. 1.00

00:06:55.040 This is just absolute brain rotting stupidity. 1.00

00:06:58.780 These are alleged artists who have no art to offer, nothing to say, no talent, no creativity. 1.00

00:07:06.760 And so they can only try to shock us.

00:07:10.480 There's always been art with immoral messages. 1.00

00:07:12.840 The difference is that in modern times, our immoral art is produced by the most tiresome collection of monotonous, talentless, idiot hacks to ever walk the earth. 0.99

00:07:22.880 As I said about Sam Smith's pee-guzzling music video, this stuff is indeed offensive and gross and disgusting, etc. 1.00

00:07:30.640 It's all of that. 0.74

00:07:31.960 But it's also utterly tedious and boring.

00:07:35.640 These depraved attention mongers can't even manage to be offensive in an interesting way. 0.99

00:07:41.940 Instead, they simply recycle the same shock tactics over and over again.

00:07:45.920 And we've seen it all by now. 1.00

00:07:47.960 As it turns out, there are only so many ways to be a satanic whore. 0.99

00:07:51.860 After a while, it gets repetitive. 0.98

00:07:53.380 And we are way past that point today.

00:07:55.420 But with that said, even if these degenerate pop stars are just vying for our attention in the most obvious, overdone ways, because they have the IQ and creative talent of a paper plate, there is still a certain significance to the fact that a major broadcast network broadcast a satanic ritual live on air last night.

00:08:16.460 I think it would be a mistake to ignore this development completely.

00:08:19.100 Instead, we should, I think, focus on it for long enough to learn the lesson that this event can teach us.

00:08:26.540 Two lessons, really.

00:08:28.140 First, the left's cultural agenda is to tear down and desecrate all that you love and hold as sacred.

00:08:36.080 They have no ideas of their own.

00:08:38.520 They have no plan beyond the destruction.

00:08:41.840 That's why they borrow from Christianity even while they try to ridicule it. 0.98

00:08:45.900 They have to, in effect, sit on the same limb they're trying to saw off the tree.

00:08:50.960 They can't stand on their own.

00:08:52.220 They have nothing.

00:08:53.360 They don't have their own platform.

00:08:55.560 It's an agenda motivated by pure hatred and resentment.

00:08:59.120 They don't even know why they hate what they hate.

00:09:01.840 But they do hate it, and their hatred drives them to destroy.

00:09:07.040 Second, and I think maybe the most important point, is that leftism is Satanism.

00:09:12.540 There's a reason they rely so heavily on satanic imagery and all that kind of stuff.

00:09:18.360 They are all literally Satanists, just not, for the most part, theological Satanists.

00:09:24.320 That's an important distinction here.

00:09:26.380 There are some theological Satanists out there who actually worship the devil outwardly.

00:09:31.980 But these people, they don't consider themselves, and most leftists, they certainly don't consider themselves to be worshipping a being called Satan.

00:09:41.320 Rather, they're worshipping what Satan worshipped, which is the self.

00:09:46.540 The story of Satan is that he refused to worship and serve God, choosing instead to worship and serve himself.

00:09:53.080 And the modern leftist has made the same choice.

00:09:56.360 Leftism is the worship of the self.

00:09:58.600 It is the elevation of the self.

00:10:02.740 And the wants and desires of the self, especially the sexual wants and desires, above everyone and everything else.

00:10:09.580 Almost all modern pop music is an ode to this idea.

00:10:13.660 Pop stars are singing praises to the gospel of self-worship.

00:10:18.100 Which is to say that most of it is satanic.

00:10:21.460 Yes, there's something that Media Matters can pull.

00:10:23.860 Most pop music is satanic, because it is about promoting the worship of the self.

00:10:32.780 It's just that it's usually not so explicit about it.

00:10:36.540 But I think it's probably better that they are explicit, so that people can see all this stuff for what it really is.

00:10:44.840 And respond accordingly to it.

00:10:47.900 Now let's get to our headlines.

00:10:49.500 We'll see you next time.

00:11:19.500 GetRefunds.com

00:11:49.480 Don't miss out.

00:11:50.600 Go to GetRefunds.com

00:11:52.100 GetRefunds.com

00:11:54.040 All right.

00:11:56.120 As you can hear, I got a little bit of a cold.

00:11:58.520 So I hope I don't lose my voice again, as I did a few months ago.

00:12:02.720 Although, I say I hope I don't lose my voice, but maybe I hope that I do lose it.

00:12:06.700 Because it was kind of nice last time, I have to admit.

00:12:09.100 Because I felt, you know, the thing is you lose your voice, you feel fine other than that.

00:12:12.580 But for my job, I have to talk.

00:12:14.240 Because if I lose it, that means I get to take a vacation.

00:12:16.020 And there's no pressure to talk at all, because I can't.

00:12:20.420 So we'll see what happens.

00:12:22.800 But we'll start with this from the Daily Wire.

00:12:25.980 The conclusion of this saga that many people were fascinated by.

00:12:32.040 I have to confess, I wasn't nearly as interested as most people seem to be.

00:12:37.640 And in fact, I never would have guessed that they could get like a four-day news cycle out of a balloon flying in the sky.

00:12:49.320 I didn't guess that one.

00:12:51.740 Now, granted, there have been other balloon-centric news cycles before.

00:12:55.880 Or there was the, what was the, there was a kid in a balloon or something.

00:12:59.840 There was some sort of, but it ended up being a hoax.

00:13:02.760 The balloon boy, that was a thing, right?

00:13:04.300 Or did I just dream that?

00:13:05.420 Was that, that was a thing, okay.

00:13:07.500 And was the kid actually in the balloon?

00:13:09.100 Or were they making that up the whole time?

00:13:11.000 It was made up, okay.

00:13:12.300 So there was that news cycle.

00:13:14.200 That was a little bit more interesting, I think, than this.

00:13:18.780 But here's the latest from the Daily Wire.

00:13:20.340 The Chinese foreign minister responded to the U.S. military shooting down its spy balloon over the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday.

00:13:25.880 By claiming without evidence that the balloon was a civilian object and that the country was extremely upset by the action.

00:13:31.740 A civilian object.

00:13:33.740 It was a balloon from a child's birthday party that just went up in the sky.

00:13:39.080 You know, they were having a barbecue out and one of the balloons just went up and then it floated across the Pacific and over Alaska and down into the continental United States.

00:13:46.800 It happens.

00:13:47.440 You know, it does happen.

00:13:48.260 An F-22 Raptor took out the spy balloon with one air-to-air A9X Sidewinder missile that was fired at an altitude of approximately 58,000 feet.

00:13:57.940 The decision to shoot down the spy balloon came after President Joe Biden allowed the balloon to fly thousands of miles over the continental U.S. during the last several days.

00:14:04.900 The statement claimed China expresses its strong dissatisfaction in protest against the U.S.'s use of force to attack civilian unmanned aircraft.

00:14:13.480 The Chinese side has repeatedly informed the U.S. side after verification that the airship is for civilian use and it entered the U.S. due to force majeure.

00:14:21.680 It was completely an accident.

00:14:23.080 The statement continued, China clearly asked the U.S. to handle it properly in a calm, professional, and restrained manner.

00:14:30.360 A spokesman for the U.S. Department of Defense also stated that the balloon will not pose a military or personal threat to ground personnel.

00:14:36.720 China will resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of relevant companies while reserving the right to make further necessary reaction.

00:14:45.260 Maybe this is the thing that actually starts the hot war between China and the U.S. is over a balloon.

00:14:50.660 It's always what you don't expect.

00:14:53.720 Biden tried to take a victory lap over the weekend after the spy balloon was shot down, claiming that he ordered the Pentagon to shoot it down on Wednesday as soon as possible.

00:15:00.480 The decision was made to not shoot it down over the land because debris could cause damage when falling to the ground.

00:15:07.920 They also claim that, from what I've read, they claim that they jammed the signal of the spy balloon while it was flying over the U.S.

00:15:15.860 And then they waited until it was over the ocean, they shot it down, and now they're going to try to collect the remnants of it so they can take it and study it and whatever, get whatever information they can out of it.

00:15:26.060 The Biden administration also claimed over the weekend that there were multiple instances, I think they said three instances,

00:15:32.420 where a spy balloon floated above the United States while Trump was in office and he didn't do anything about it.

00:15:38.940 So that was their official response.

00:15:41.380 Oh, yeah?

00:15:41.780 Well, what about him?

00:15:44.060 He did it, too.

00:15:47.220 I have to say, first of all, number one, I am sticking with my theory that really it was aliens.

00:15:54.720 There's nothing to hang that theory on at this point, but that's what I choose to believe about this, and that certainly makes it more interesting to me.

00:16:04.040 The second thing is, if it wasn't aliens, on the radical chance that it wasn't aliens, then did Biden respond the right way?

00:16:12.300 Did the Biden administration respond the right way to this balloon thing?

00:16:14.460 I tend to agree with most people that, as I said on Friday when we talked about this, that he should have shot it down the first chance that they saw it.

00:16:24.100 And considering the fact that it floated over Alaska and then down across the United States, it was over Montana when we first heard about it.

00:16:30.260 These are not heavily populated areas, and you could have easily shot it down in an area where the debris is not likely to cause any harm to any people.

00:16:41.260 But they claimed that they jammed the signal, waited until it was over the ocean, and they took it out.

00:16:46.960 And maybe they did.

00:16:48.240 I can't say that they didn't do that.

00:16:51.780 And if that is what they did, okay, that might be a fine way of responding.

00:16:58.420 To me, though, the issue is that after a while, the whole story starts to seem like a distraction.

00:17:07.360 That's kind of the camp that I end up in here.

00:17:09.240 It's a very strange thing that in the middle of last week, they make this big announcement about the balloon, and then that's what we're focused on.

00:17:22.340 That's what the news media is focused on for days and days is this balloon.

00:17:26.480 Which they now tell us it was never a big deal.

00:17:30.520 They jammed the signal.

00:17:31.220 They took it down.

00:17:31.740 They always had it under control.

00:17:33.040 Again, there's no reason to believe the Biden administration on anything that it says.

00:17:37.320 But for all I know, that could be true.

00:17:40.380 I don't know.

00:17:40.740 I don't believe it.

00:17:42.600 I don't believe anything they say on their own word.

00:17:46.340 But I also don't know.

00:17:47.380 I really don't know what the deal was with this balloon.

00:17:54.460 But the real question I have is, like, why was that the thing they wanted us talking about for days?

00:18:01.400 And it's just a good practice.

00:18:03.500 You know, whenever the media is pointing your direction over here, it's always good to think, well, what's over there that they don't want us talking about?

00:18:09.940 Especially when they're pointing us over here and say, look at that.

00:18:11.780 Look at the big balloon in the sky.

00:18:14.840 Look at that.

00:18:15.500 Let's talk about that for three days.

00:18:18.480 And then they move on from it.

00:18:21.120 Talk about it for three or four days.

00:18:22.300 It was never a big deal.

00:18:23.660 Anyway, let's go back to what we were talking about.

00:18:27.720 We weren't talking about anything before, right?

00:18:29.320 Okay, well, let's reset the news cycle and we'll find something else.

00:18:35.760 That's my question.

00:18:36.520 What were they trying to distract us from?

00:18:39.180 Postmillennial has this story.

00:18:40.480 A trans-identified male who claims to be the mother of two trans kids testified before a Minnesota House committee in favor of Minnesota becoming a trans refuge state for people seeking out-of-state medical sex changes.

00:18:52.860 The biological male has a trans partner as well as two children who are involved in gender identity.

00:18:59.000 Amber described the torrent of damaging, ill-informed, and outright malicious legislation being introduced across the country as reason for Minnesota to become a safe haven for transgender individuals. 0.68

00:19:08.120 And parents seeking experimental sex changes for their children.

00:19:12.080 So we've been following this law in Minnesota.

00:19:14.720 And there have been several days of testimony.

00:19:18.300 And this is the latest with this male who identifies as a female.

00:19:23.940 Let's just watch a little bit of this testimony.

00:19:25.580 My name is Amber Mumm.

00:19:28.040 I use she, her pronouns.

00:19:30.540 I'm a member of the St. Cloud Hive of the Parents and Allies of Trans Youth, the Transgender Movement for Liberation, and a member of the Tea Time Support Group run by the Aliveness Project.

00:19:42.380 I am also a proud transgender woman, but more importantly, I am the mother of two wonderful transgender and gender expansive children.

00:19:51.700 I drove down from St. Cloud to show my support for House File 146 and thank Representative Finke for introducing such an important and life-saving bill to protect trans children and their families at such a critical time for us.

00:20:04.020 As you may be aware, there's a torrent of damaging, ill-informed, and outright malicious legislation being introduced across the country, targeting transgender and gender expansive people broadly, but trans children in particular.

00:20:18.100 It is our daily experience to be forced to keep track of which state is safe for us to visit.

00:20:22.300 Minnesota has been overall very accepting and supportive of our family, but even then, we don't feel 100% safe and assured that we will be able to get the gender-affirming care that both of my kids need and deserve.

00:20:35.200 Very recently, an amendment was proposed to House File 16 in Minnesota, which bans children's conversion therapy in an attempt to ban essential health care for transgender children.

00:20:46.220 This happened in our state.

00:20:47.520 Because of this, my trans partner and I frequently discuss plans to flee the country if these targeted, hateful bills keep being introduced or passed.

00:20:59.640 I never thought that it would come to this, but here we are.

00:21:03.200 Pause it.

00:21:03.640 But keep this image up on the screen of this, right?

00:21:10.080 Once again, this is someone that everyone looks at this person and says, well, that's a woman, all right?

00:21:16.380 Certainly.

00:21:17.520 I mean, I don't even say this is an insult.

00:21:20.660 To me, he looks a little bit like the, he's like a pink version of the, what's the blue guy from McDonald's?

00:21:26.820 He's a little bit like that guy, but in pink.

00:21:30.160 Grimace, yeah.

00:21:31.020 It's a little bit like a pink Grimace.

00:21:32.660 Again, I don't mean as an insult.

00:21:34.060 I mean, that's a look that some people enjoy.

00:21:37.800 But I do think it's interesting that this individual, okay, so this person is married to a trans person.

00:21:46.060 And then, what do you know?

00:21:50.720 They also have two children who just so happen to be trans.

00:21:54.720 But remember, there's no social contagion aspect of this.

00:22:00.380 And, well, certainly no one is turning children trans or encouraging them to be trans or planting these ideas in their head.

00:22:07.700 No one is doing that.

00:22:10.100 That's a conspiracy theory.

00:22:13.960 And yet, what do you so often find?

00:22:17.040 You so often find that so-called gender expansive adults tend to have, quote unquote, gender expansive children.

00:22:23.300 I just feel, I mean, you feel horrible for these kids.

00:22:31.260 What chance do they have in the world?

00:22:34.480 And that's what stops me from, you know, he says that, well, we're going to, I want to flee the country.

00:22:38.480 Well, if he himself leaves, and he's doing that, you know, in part in response to some of the laws that are being passed around the country,

00:22:50.380 then I consider that another great benefit of those laws.

00:22:54.320 Except that he has kids he'd bring with him.

00:22:56.100 And they're the real victims in all this.

00:23:00.500 But also remember something else.

00:23:02.380 That this person right here, that is a real woman.

00:23:06.380 And not only that, he's a realer woman than real women. 0.89

00:23:11.240 At least that's what this person on TikTok, and Libs of TikTok posted this a few days ago.

00:23:16.040 Here's someone on TikTok explaining that exactly that, that, quote unquote, trans women are more womanly than actual women. 0.76

00:23:25.040 Listen.

00:23:26.100 But I'm just going to be honest with you guys.

00:23:27.900 I am tired of TERFs making a mockery of real women. 0.99

00:23:32.940 Oh, what, you were born with ovaries? 0.99

00:23:34.580 You bleed every month?

00:23:35.460 You have XX chromosomes? 0.98

00:23:36.640 Yeah, that's cute.

00:23:37.400 Tell me what other external factor that doesn't apply to all of you defines you.

00:23:42.240 At the end of the day, you're out here thinking that trans women are making a mockery of you when it's the exact opposite.

00:23:47.740 You are pretending that you know that you are a woman when the only people here who know that for sure are the ones who have put in the work to understand themselves. 0.79

00:23:55.360 The trans women.

00:23:56.480 You have put zero work in actually understanding yourself.

00:23:59.300 You are only a woman because everybody else around you looked at the same external factors that you look at and said, hmm, seems like woman behavior to me. 0.95

00:24:06.320 And you went, all right.

00:24:07.600 The only person making a mockery of womanhood is you because you do not fully understand what makes you a woman. 0.96

00:24:13.520 Stop harassing trans women. 1.00

00:24:16.420 I don't even identify as a woman and I'm more of a woman than you.

00:24:19.240 It's okay to be scared of cishet men, but don't take it out on people who aren't even a threat. 0.59

00:24:23.580 Maybe there's a term that we should introduce into the dialogue here, which is a trans supremacist, because that's what you hear there.

00:24:32.600 And that's in fact, most trans activists, that's actually what they are.

00:24:35.840 They're trans supremacists.

00:24:38.180 They don't just, no, they don't want to be included as a woman. 1.00

00:24:44.480 They don't want to be merely included.

00:24:46.700 They want to be at the top of, you know, the pecking order, okay?

00:24:52.760 They want to be celebrated as not just a woman or one woman among many.

00:25:00.320 They're the best women of all.

00:25:03.360 And that's actually what they want.

00:25:05.820 Because the one thing we always know about the left is that, you know, whatever they claim they want, it's never just that.

00:25:11.340 That's always, that's always, that is, it's only the beginning.

00:25:14.120 It's just, it's just what gets them in the door.

00:25:17.120 And inclusion, which they shouldn't even get that, okay?

00:25:21.960 We should not be including males in the category of woman because they're not. 0.99

00:25:27.520 But that's not what they're looking for.

00:25:30.580 What they're looking for is what you just heard there, trans supremacy, basically.

00:25:35.420 All right, the Daily Wire has this.

00:25:37.520 Could the experts be starting to admit three years later that they were wrong about COVID?

00:25:41.400 At least one medical researcher is calling on the scientific community to admit mistakes were made.

00:25:47.320 Kevin Bass wrote, I was wrong.

00:25:50.000 We in the scientific community were wrong and it costs lives.

00:25:52.540 He wrote this in a recent op-ed for Newsweek.

00:25:55.560 For years and with almost no voice, the scientific elites seemingly doubled down on the, almost one voice rather, the scientific elites seemingly doubled down on the necessity of broad vaccine mandates and prolonged lockdowns.

00:26:05.960 Even as Americans suffer, medical professionals who questioned the narrative or offered opinions not accepted by the mainstream were mocked and censored on social media platforms.

00:26:14.180 Bass said that he staunchly supported public health authorities when they called for lockdowns, vaccines, and booster shots.

00:26:19.320 He believed at the time that they were responding with compassion, diligence, and scientific expertise.

00:26:24.460 Now the scales have fallen from his eyes, he said.

00:26:27.320 Public health authorities overstated the evidence and misled the public on a litany of issues, including natural COVID immunity versus vaccine immunity, school closures and disease transmission, aerosol spread, mask mandates, and vaccine effectiveness and safety, especially for young people, Bass wrote.

00:26:43.380 He wrote, quote, if our public health officials had led with less hubris, the course of the pandemic in the United States might have had a very different outcome with fewer lost lives.

00:26:56.120 And so this guy, Bass, is the latest.

00:26:59.660 There haven't been a lot of them, but there have been a few of these so-called health experts, medical professionals who have come out and said, yeah, we got this one wrong.

00:27:06.960 Um, which is, it's good for them to admit it, as it's good for them to, it's late, it's a little late in the game, and it's good to finally admit it.

00:27:16.580 The problem, though, is, well, it's a couple of problems.

00:27:18.320 First of all, this is, this is not a simple, uh, mea culpa.

00:27:23.260 Well, my bad.

00:27:27.240 Okay.

00:27:28.380 What, what you went along with promoted was the, I mean, the shutdown of society.

00:27:36.960 I mean, you, you, you, you, you were pushing something that had disastrous effects on people's lives, deadly effects on people's lives.

00:27:47.600 And those, uh, reverberations are still being felt and will be felt for, for years to come.

00:27:54.840 I mean, those, those effects are permanent in a lot of ways.

00:27:57.120 We, we live in a post-COVID shutdown world, and it's, uh, not like what the world would have been had those shutdowns never occurred.

00:28:07.660 And it never will be.

00:28:09.400 So it's not the kind of thing that you could just say, well, my bad, and, and, and, and we'll respond and say, well, we forgive you.

00:28:17.440 But I will say that, you know, I draw a distinction between people who were mistaken, who were duped, whatever, and the people who deliberately lied to us.

00:28:31.280 Now, this Kevin Bass person claims to be in the, in the former category.

00:28:35.860 He says that he himself was duped by the medical professionals.

00:28:39.040 He believed what they told him.

00:28:41.120 Maybe that's the case.

00:28:44.320 But the real issue here is that we were lied to.

00:28:48.960 And the people who lied and, uh, used those lives to, lies to try to destroy our lives,

00:28:56.480 uh, there, there, there can't be any forgiveness, certainly no forgetting of that.

00:29:04.360 No, uh, as, as the media has called for pandemic amnesty, there could be no amnesty for that.

00:29:09.340 That's for sure.

00:29:10.580 So I want to mention this also.

00:29:11.640 There's a, there are interesting trend on social media in recent years where the conversation

00:29:15.420 about Leonardo DiCaprio's famous habit of dating younger women has devolved from jokes that people would always make

00:29:24.160 to actually accusing him of being a sex predator. 0.90

00:29:27.500 Um, Leonardo DiCaprio is a sex predator for dating 19 and 20 year olds. 0.56

00:29:32.780 Uh, that is a, a widely held view now on social media, at least.

00:29:37.280 And it came up again this weekend when a woman named Faye Micah tweeted this, a very viral tweet.

00:29:43.080 She said, at this point, I can't even join in on the jokes anymore. 0.89

00:29:46.780 If Leonardo DiCaprio was approaching 50 and dating a teenager, then he's an actual sexual predator. 0.88

00:29:52.020 Let's be clear.

00:29:52.740 And that tweet has about, uh, 300,000 likes where many more, you know, are echoing the

00:29:59.320 sentiment as well.

00:30:00.680 Now, the first problem here is that you, you really are lessening the, the impact of the

00:30:06.060 term sex predator when you apply it to a man dating a legal adult.

00:30:10.660 Any rational person would at least agree that there's a, there's a significant difference

00:30:15.200 between Leonardo DiCaprio and a lot of people that you find on the sex offender registry.

00:30:19.860 Like you're using the same term to describe a man dating a 19 year old as we would to, to

00:30:26.160 describe, say a child molester.

00:30:28.020 And if you actually do think that DiCaprio dating a 19 year old is equal to a man who 0.55

00:30:33.940 rapes a child, that what that really tells me is that you're not nearly as horrified by

00:30:38.100 child rape as you should be, which is what apparently has led you to equate the two.

00:30:42.560 And that's, and that's very concerning. 0.94

00:30:45.520 But here's the point I really want to make about this.

00:30:48.740 The curse of the modern age, one of them, is a total lack of intellectual consistency.

00:30:56.320 Where what somebody says one minute has no connection to what they'll say the next minute.

00:31:02.060 It creates a, a national discourse that is, uh, schizophrenic.

00:31:06.160 That just sounds insane.

00:31:09.480 So consider that a great number of the people who are, to use the leftist phrase, problematizing,

00:31:14.700 um, DiCaprio dating 19 year olds, a great number of these people are on the left.

00:31:20.160 Which means that their philosophy of consent works something like this.

00:31:25.720 A 19 year old is not old enough to fully consent to dating a Hollywood actor.

00:31:31.280 However, a 15 year old is old enough to consent to having her breasts removed. 0.98

00:31:37.540 And a 10 year old is old enough to consent to taking puberty blockers.

00:31:41.140 And a three year old is old enough to consent to identifying as another gender and, and can

00:31:46.220 consent to a social transition, quote unquote.

00:31:49.700 Not only that, but let's keep in mind that 16 year olds, according to the left, are old

00:31:53.160 enough to vote.

00:31:54.760 Okay.

00:31:55.160 We want them taking part in the democratic process.

00:31:57.480 Like we want their votes to count as much as the vote of someone who's 30.

00:32:03.440 And, uh, they also think that middle schoolers are old enough to obtain birth control and,

00:32:07.360 and, um, abortions without parental consent.

00:32:11.700 And what about 19 year olds?

00:32:13.200 Well, I mean, at 19, the left would say that a person is old enough to consent to literally

00:32:18.120 any sex change procedure at all.

00:32:21.340 Hysterectomy, double mastectomy. 0.99

00:32:22.600 She can have the skin on her arm peeled off and turned into a fake penis. 1.00

00:32:27.480 I mean, life changing and life destroying procedures. 0.99

00:32:31.740 She can consent to at the age of 19 and even younger.

00:32:37.740 So she can enter into all of those things with full knowledge and discernment.

00:32:43.620 And, you know, we can trust her judgment when she does, but she can't date Leonardo DiCaprio.

00:32:52.020 That that's where we draw the line.

00:32:53.520 And you consent to all of that, but not to Leonardo DiCaprio.

00:33:00.900 It just, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

00:33:03.280 Of course, it doesn't make sense.

00:33:04.060 And what I would say is that, look, if you want to take this kind of, uh, minimalist sort

00:33:11.480 of approach to 19 year olds and what they're capable of consenting to, uh, then fine.

00:33:18.120 Let's, but let's, let's, let's take that logic all the way to its conclusion.

00:33:22.380 Because according to that logic, real, I mean, the voting age should be, I mean, certain not eight,

00:33:27.400 not even 18.

00:33:28.700 Let's raise the voting age to, to 30.

00:33:32.740 I mean, it is true that your, your brain is not fully developed until you're 25.

00:33:37.780 So let's raise the voting age to at least that, to at least 25.

00:33:40.380 And what about these life changing, which is really to say life destroying sex change procedures?

00:33:51.180 I would like to ban all of them outright, but if you won't agree to that, then you should

00:33:57.560 be able to agree.

00:33:57.960 Well, let's raise, let's raise that to 25 as well.

00:34:00.180 None of those procedures at all until you're 25.

00:34:06.060 Because again, remember, I mean, 19 year olds, uh, they cannot even be trusted to decide who 0.98

00:34:11.940 they want to date.

00:34:15.180 So if that's the approach you want to take, then let's just be consistent about it.

00:34:21.040 But they, they, they can't be consistent because nothing that these people say means anything

00:34:26.460 from one moment to the next.

00:34:27.960 That's what you understand about the left.

00:34:30.420 There, there's, there are no precedents being set.

00:34:34.220 There's no such thing as precedent.

00:34:37.120 They can say, you know, they can lay down one principle in one moment and then another

00:34:41.080 principle that can, that, that totally contradicts that principle next.

00:34:45.960 Because it's just about what they need in any given moment.

00:34:49.560 And it's extremely concerning that that also applies to concepts like consent.

00:34:54.460 The judgment that, the way that they judge this is like, what, what do I need ideologically?

00:35:01.340 And ideologically, um, I need to be able to say that a 15 year old girl is fully psychologically 0.95

00:35:08.860 capable of consenting to have her breasts removed for cosmetic reasons.

00:35:13.000 That's what the left thinks.

00:35:17.100 But when it comes to Leonardo DiCaprio's dating habits, they don't have that same ideological

00:35:21.700 need.

00:35:22.200 And so in that case, they can, you know, they could essentially treat Leonardo DiCaprio's

00:35:26.700 19 year old girlfriend as less capable of consent than the 15 year olds who having the 0.99

00:35:32.720 breasts removed. 0.97

00:35:33.120 Obviously, total, total, absolute incoherence.

00:35:40.240 Let's get to the comment section.

00:35:41.560 Daily cancellations are the law and order of the day.

00:35:47.400 We're the sweet baby gang.

00:35:51.740 In case you missed it or still haven't gotten yours, last week we dropped the newest addition

00:35:55.160 to my swag shack, the Notorious SBG t-shirt over at dailywire.com slash shop.

00:36:00.100 I think I'm supposed to hold up the shirt.

00:36:01.560 It's over here.

00:36:01.960 No, it's still impressive.

00:36:05.200 Is this?

00:36:06.200 Oh, this is nothing.

00:36:08.140 That's not the shirt.

00:36:09.340 Now, I keep saying that they're trying to get me to promise to rap for the gang, but

00:36:13.800 this is simply not the case.

00:36:15.140 To be clear, I'm in no way obligated to share my gifts of inherent natural rhythm and intricate

00:36:20.720 rhymes.

00:36:21.500 All I'm saying is that I reserve the right to withhold my talents.

00:36:25.760 They just know that if I did choose to freestyle for whatever reason, it would be magnificent.

00:36:29.580 My flow is unmatched.

00:36:31.960 You've already heard a little bit of that on the show today, actually.

00:36:33.960 Sometimes I do, you know, perform pop and rap lyrics, and so you know what that sounds

00:36:38.280 like.

00:36:38.680 I'm going to turnt it up a little more this time.

00:36:40.960 Used to dream about getting it.

00:36:42.560 Now I got it.

00:36:43.520 I don't drive.

00:36:44.620 So what are you waiting for?

00:36:45.700 This new shirt instantly maximizes your street cred, affirms your identity as a sweet baby

00:36:49.740 gang gangsta, and generally confuses the masses.

00:36:53.080 So go to dailywire.com slash shop to get your notorious SBG shirt today.

00:36:57.840 Totally Ordinary says, I made terrible decisions as a young person and became a stripper. 1.00

00:37:03.880 I believed all the feminist crap. 1.00

00:37:05.660 I think these girls repeating talking points like empowerment and my body to cover the feelings 1.00

00:37:10.200 of shame.

00:37:11.360 Also, the girl talking about how men solely want to see her in particular is wrong.

00:37:15.560 These men don't care who the woman is as long as she's available for his viewing and

00:37:19.780 checks a few boxes.

00:37:21.240 There were women before her and will be a long line after. 0.97

00:37:23.800 There, no one will miss her.

00:37:27.700 That's exactly right.

00:37:28.540 And you made terrible decisions as a young person, as many young people tend to do.

00:37:34.940 The difference between you, though, and a lot of other people, especially people you're

00:37:38.440 referring to here, is that you were able to acknowledge the error in your ways and actually

00:37:45.880 change.

00:37:46.460 Whereas I think for a lot of people, this is what they get from the culture.

00:37:49.060 They make those terrible decisions, and then they believe that all they could do is just

00:37:55.060 double down and double down and find a way to convince them that their self-destructive

00:38:05.540 behavior is empowering, which is something that they themselves don't believe.

00:38:09.380 But they'll spend their entire lives trying to convince them of this thing that they'll

00:38:12.520 never believe.

00:38:13.020 Ali says, I love that in this episode, Matt clarified that gender-affirming surgery is

00:38:20.520 wrong regardless of age.

00:38:22.640 If we say it's okay for adults, then we also by default have to admit that it's okay for

00:38:25.880 children or at least adolescents.

00:38:28.600 But we don't have to say.

00:38:29.880 I mean, there are plenty of things that are okay for adults that are not okay for children.

00:38:33.200 So just because it's okay for adults doesn't mean that it's okay for children.

00:38:39.620 But in this particular case, what makes it wrong is not just that children can't really

00:38:51.880 fathom what they're doing and they don't have the ability to consent to it.

00:38:55.240 I mean, that's part of what makes it terrible and evil.

00:39:00.920 But also, it is a fundamentally destructive thing.

00:39:05.780 I mean, you're destroying your body.

00:39:08.320 And anyone who goes to a doctor asking for this to be done to them, no matter their age,

00:39:14.520 already by default can't consent.

00:39:16.960 I mean, the fact that you want it to be done to you means that you're not in a good psychological

00:39:25.220 state.

00:39:27.080 The fact that this desire exists in the first place, that you have the desire to chop body

00:39:31.960 parts off and all the rest of it, it shows that there's something deeply wrong.

00:39:38.620 There are some deep psychological problems going on.

00:39:42.060 And rather than just affirming these delusions and monetizing them and profiting off of them,

00:39:51.740 what we should be doing is trying to treat those psychological problems.

00:39:56.460 And that's the case no matter how old you are.

00:39:59.340 JB says, Matt, I'm married.

00:40:00.860 I have 11 children and 22 grands.

00:40:02.900 So please don't think I'm against marriage.

00:40:04.360 But I met a fellow who made the choice to become a brother at St. Benedict's Abbey in Kansas.

00:40:08.980 He says, lest you get the wrong picture, this man is good looking, athletic, has a great

00:40:12.500 personality, was dating when he felt the Lord calling him.

00:40:15.160 He has dedicated his entire life to serving our Lord.

00:40:17.480 I can't help but admire him.

00:40:18.820 Not everyone is called to marriage.

00:40:21.860 I've never said that literally every single person is.

00:40:24.500 In fact, I've always mentioned that there are people who are called, for example, to

00:40:30.920 the religious life.

00:40:32.600 But the important point is that if you're called to the religious life, that is still, as

00:40:38.620 a man, if you're called to the religious life, you're still taking on a kind of spiritual

00:40:42.980 fatherhood.

00:40:44.600 So I would argue that all men and women are called to be fathers and mothers.

00:40:50.440 And for most people, that's going to be in the literal kind of biological sense of having

00:40:55.300 kids.

00:40:57.500 But for other people, it'll come in different forms.

00:40:59.580 And one way is through the religious life.

00:41:03.400 You know, that's, but everyone is called to a, to a, every man is called to a life of

00:41:08.000 paternal service, is maybe the way to put it.

00:41:13.320 Jocelyn says, can I be a general in the Sweet Baby Gang?

00:41:16.300 I ended an hour-long pay it forward chain.

00:41:19.040 The workers stared at me, stared at me with hate and disgust.

00:41:21.600 I just got my free chicken and left. 0.83

00:41:23.920 We don't have time for this nonsense.

00:41:25.360 Well, we don't have any generals in the Sweet Baby Gang.

00:41:28.280 There are no ranks beyond me.

00:41:29.960 There's me and everybody else.

00:41:31.640 So it would be a threat to my power if we were to promote you.

00:41:34.100 So we can't do that.

00:41:34.840 But you do have my admiration, especially to do that.

00:41:39.080 So this was a pay it forward chain at some, at a, at a restaurant, some kind of fast food

00:41:43.760 restaurant where they serve chicken.

00:41:44.940 I mean, usually I've only ever encountered them at Starbucks.

00:41:49.720 But to do this at a place where people are buying entire meals, no, you made the right

00:41:54.780 choice.

00:41:55.980 I'm not just going to sit here and like volunteer to pay for whatever meal the car behind me

00:42:01.300 just bought.

00:42:02.720 No way.

00:42:04.200 All right.

00:42:05.800 Dave says, Matt, I saw a video I need you to weigh in on.

00:42:08.220 A guy sits next to a woman on a bus and she yells at him and calls him creepy.

00:42:12.220 Seems like one of those gym video situations, except that there were a bunch of other empty

00:42:15.660 seats on the bus.

00:42:16.680 So why did he sit next to her?

00:42:18.700 How do you rule on people who sit closer than necessary to strangers on public transportation?

00:42:23.020 All right.

00:42:24.160 I think this is a video.

00:42:25.000 I saw the same video on being passed around social media.

00:42:27.940 I assume this is the video you're talking about.

00:42:30.160 Let's watch a little bit of this.

00:42:31.080 Why are you moving away?

00:42:32.800 That's rude.

00:42:33.300 Why are you coming in with me?

00:42:33.880 Because you're sleeping with weed. 0.74

00:42:35.220 There's nothing wrong with weed.

00:42:36.360 What's wrong with weed?

00:42:36.740 No, it's not just weed.

00:42:37.600 You literally just sleep.

00:42:38.260 I just don't want to sit next to you. 1.00

00:42:39.540 No, just shut up, it's ridiculous. 1.00

00:42:39.600 What I'm hearing from you is ridiculous. 1.00

00:42:41.600 You literally chose to sit right next to me. 0.99

00:42:43.960 What's wrong with that, right?

00:42:44.540 On an empty bus.

00:42:45.560 It's weird.

00:42:46.460 What's wrong with that?

00:42:46.940 It's weird.

00:42:47.760 I don't know why you care so much.

00:42:49.100 You don't even know me. 1.00

00:42:49.920 Just shut up. 1.00

00:42:50.480 What is it now if I know you? 1.00

00:42:52.160 What is it now?

00:42:52.860 Because it's a bit weird sitting next to someone that you don't know.

00:42:55.720 I don't know why you care so much.

00:42:59.060 You don't even know me.

00:43:00.280 What is it now if I know you?

00:43:02.100 What is it now?

00:43:02.820 Because it's a bit weird sitting next to someone that you don't know.

00:43:05.940 I don't come on a bus to start dating someone.

00:43:11.500 No, I don't think it's fair at all to compare this to the gym.

00:43:14.380 Now, the gym situation is a woman looking for an opportunity to shame a man as some sort of creep 1.00

00:43:20.180 when all he's doing is just working out.

00:43:21.780 He happens to glance in her direction.

00:43:22.820 That's not what's happening here at all.

00:43:25.300 I mean, she's 100% in the right.

00:43:28.200 Now, I can't, I don't know the man's motivation for sitting next to this woman.

00:43:32.560 We could probably guess.

00:43:35.020 But yeah, when you've got an entirely empty bus and you choose to sit right next to a stranger,

00:43:42.600 no, that is never okay.

00:43:44.680 This is, it does, and this goes for public transportation, airport terminals.

00:43:51.080 Same principle applies to urinals and bathroom stalls.

00:43:56.300 It's like you, if you can give other people room and personal space, sometimes you can't.

00:44:02.220 Sometimes there's no choice.

00:44:03.060 If you walk under the bus and there's, and no matter what, you're going to end up sitting next to a person,

00:44:06.980 then yeah, just choose.

00:44:09.200 For me, in that situation, it's like on a Southwest flight.

00:44:12.240 And if I'm in one of the later boarding groups, I'm going to, you have to sit next to someone.

00:44:18.420 I'm going to choose someone who's smaller and will take up less elbow space.

00:44:21.840 That's what I'm going to do.

00:44:22.980 But in that situation, you have to make a choice.

00:44:24.420 But to sit directly next to someone when you don't have to is obviously creepy and weird.

00:44:32.340 I mean, imagine if you were at a, you know, you're sitting in a food court and there are a bunch of empty tables.

00:44:37.620 And then someone sits down at your table with you who you don't even know.

00:44:41.260 It's the same kind of thing.

00:44:42.300 Don't do that.

00:44:43.760 That's horrible.

00:44:44.160 I've got a timely and important book to share with you today.

00:44:47.740 New York Times bestselling author Heather McDonald has teamed up with DW Books to bring you a powerful new book,

00:44:52.740 which is called When Race Trumps Merit, How the Pursuit of Equity Sacrifices Excellence, Destroys Beauty, and Threatens Lives.

00:45:00.180 Do you believe in fairness and merit?

00:45:01.960 Do you care about the future of our society and the institutions that shape it?

00:45:05.720 Then if this book is for you, if you do.

00:45:07.720 In When Race Trumps Merit, McDonald exposes the dangerous consequences of prioritizing race over merit

00:45:13.420 in all aspects of society, from science to music to law enforcement.

00:45:17.200 Our institutions are being eroded and destroyed, all in the name of equity.

00:45:20.900 This book takes a hard look at the impact of the left's pursuit of equity and how it's undermining meritocracy

00:45:25.740 and putting our society at risk.

00:45:27.380 McDonald provides a clear and sobering analysis of what's happening and what we can expect if we don't act.

00:45:32.620 If you're interested in understanding the threat to Western civilization and fighting back,

00:45:35.780 don't miss this essential book, When Race Trumps Merit, hits shelves April 18th.

00:45:39.720 You can preorder your copy today at Amazon or wherever books are sold.

00:45:43.420 Now let's get to our daily cancellation.

00:45:47.200 You know, I have often admitted that if we lived in a sane society,

00:45:52.740 not a perfect one, but merely a sane one, then I wouldn't have a job.

00:45:56.880 At least, I wouldn't have this job.

00:45:58.280 Because my job at present consists largely of saying very obvious things.

00:46:02.360 Things that would not need to be said in a country where sanity reigned.

00:46:06.400 Things that, if they were said in a sane country,

00:46:09.200 they'd be met with yawning, slightly bemused reactions.

00:46:13.060 People would respond, yeah, and?

00:46:15.320 Why are you telling us this?

00:46:16.840 And they get back to their lives.

00:46:18.340 But because insanity rather than sanity reigns here, it is necessary to state the obvious.

00:46:22.920 And the obvious, when stated, will nearly always be met with screams of horror and breathless denunciations

00:46:29.580 from people who believe that there is nothing so offensive as a thing that is obviously true.

00:46:33.980 And that brings us to the latest controversy, the latest firestorm that I find myself in the middle of.

00:46:40.720 It began last week on this show when I dedicated Thursday's, I think it was Thursday's,

00:46:45.040 daily cancellation to a so-called divorce coach who, among other things, 0.55

00:46:49.140 advised women that if their husbands have grown unhappy or bitter through the course of their marriage,

00:46:54.120 it's because the husband was always an angry person whose mask has finally fallen off.

00:46:58.360 Now, I countered that it's certainly possible that a man might fool his betrothed by donning a mask,

00:47:04.280 which slips during the course of the marriage, revealing his true and miserable self.

00:47:08.660 However, I suggested a woman who notices that her husband is turning into such a person 0.91

00:47:13.520 would do well to consider that his happiness might not be baggage he secretly brought into the marriage,

00:47:19.080 but rather a change that has taken place during the marriage.

00:47:22.580 She should think about whether she is giving her husband what he most wants and needs.

00:47:28.360 She should think about whether she is helping her husband to be happy or if she is facilitating his unhappiness.

00:47:34.860 And the good news, as I explained, is that the wants and needs of a man are generally pretty simple.

00:47:40.840 What most men want is simply to come home from work to a wife and children who are happy to see him

00:47:45.780 and grateful for him, and with dinner cooking on the stove.

00:47:50.060 That doesn't hurt either.

00:47:51.540 Of course, as I acknowledged during the segment, not everyone's situation is exactly the same.

00:47:55.740 And even in the ideal scenario, it can't be like that every day.

00:47:59.280 In fact, even in my specific case, you know, I really like to cook.

00:48:03.120 So there are plenty of days when I cook and my wife cleans up the dishes afterwards. 0.98

00:48:07.800 And there are variations on this basic theme, variations that also have to account for the fact that

00:48:12.160 there are plenty of households, especially in this economy, where both the husband and the wife have to work.

00:48:16.820 They're forced to work, or they've decided that they have to work.

00:48:18.780 So I'm not laying out a precise, unchangeable formula that must apply to everyone, every day, no matter what.

00:48:27.180 Rather, I'm trying to explain that in most cases, a man simply wants to provide for his family.

00:48:33.380 He wants his work and his sacrifices to be noticed and appreciated.

00:48:36.800 He wants his wife to love him and be affectionate towards him and care for him and respect him.

00:48:42.320 And he wants his children to love him and appreciate him and respect him and be excited to see him.

00:48:48.200 Whatever exact shape this takes, if a man can have all of that, he will be happy.

00:48:53.580 If a man does not have that, he will probably not be happy.

00:48:57.680 This is the point I made during the segment, which my team also posted to TikTok,

00:49:00.860 and which I reiterated in a tweet over the weekend.

00:49:03.540 On Twitter, I posted this, which is what I just said.

00:49:06.140 He said, quote, all a man wants is to come home from a long day at work to a grateful wife and children

00:49:10.480 who are glad to see him and dinner cooking on the stove.

00:49:12.960 This is literally all it takes to make a man happy.

00:49:14.920 We are simple.

00:49:15.580 Give us this, and you will have given us nearly everything we need.

00:49:19.400 Okay.

00:49:21.020 So that brings you up to speed.

00:49:22.820 And then came the responses, which break down along the lines you might expect.

00:49:27.680 Across the platforms where we've had this conversation,

00:49:30.800 most men have answered either that they have exactly what I described and they love it,

00:49:35.180 or they aren't married yet, but they hope to have it when they are married,

00:49:38.600 or they are married and they wish they had that,

00:49:41.160 but instead they come home to an unkempt, unappreciative household and a nagging wife every day. 0.94

00:49:45.680 And it makes them very miserable.

00:49:47.760 Very few men have said that they categorically do not desire anything resembling the situation I described.

00:49:54.660 The feminists, on the other hand, have had quite a different reaction. 1.00

00:49:58.140 There have been hundreds, if not thousands of outrage, well, thousands actually,

00:50:02.120 of outraged responses to my provocative claim that men want to be loved and respected by their wives and children.

00:50:08.980 And I'll read through just a few of them, a few examples.

00:50:12.880 Here's one from notorious cat lady Jill Falopovich, who tweeted,

00:50:16.580 Get yourself DoorDash and a dog, and please leave women alone. 1.00

00:50:20.020 Then she continues,

00:50:20.680 This manages to be insulting to women and men at the same time. 0.95

00:50:24.380 And clearly, if your husband is unhappy or abusive,

00:50:26.740 it's your fault for not having dinner ready or being sufficiently happy.

00:50:29.940 Anyway, I'm glad to know men who actually like women as people and want partnership,

00:50:34.080 not a servile wife as mommy who breeds silent and compliant children and asserts no needs of her own. 1.00

00:50:41.120 Elizabeth Spears, who's a Democratic consultant who made it onto this show several months ago 0.99

00:50:45.440 after writing a column claiming that adoption is more traumatic than abortion.

00:50:49.380 She was especially incensed.

00:50:50.720 She wrote,

00:50:52.260 The kind of man who wants this believes that women exist solely to serve his needs.

00:50:56.620 And in relationships where that is true,

00:50:58.480 the relationship is partly about power and control, a root cause of domestic violence.

00:51:03.160 Later, she posted,

00:51:04.440 This service model of relationships often doesn't work,

00:51:07.200 even when women want to play that role, 1.00

00:51:08.720 because Matt is an overgrown baby and doesn't understand that men can get all of those things

00:51:13.460 and still be abusive and cheat and be unhappy themselves.

00:51:17.900 Another woman in media, Jennifer Robeson, who claims to not be a feminist, posted, 0.99

00:51:24.140 Your domestic tableau is creepy because it focuses only on your needs.

00:51:28.560 It is you surveying your family as objects that exist only to please you,

00:51:32.600 not considering that they are discreet humans with their own drives and desires.

00:51:36.580 Now, there are many other responses like this,

00:51:40.060 and not all from female feminists, 0.99

00:51:41.760 some from the even more pathetic male variety of feminists, 0.99

00:51:45.000 and all labeling me a sexist, a caveman, 1.00

00:51:47.380 a backwards, abusive, troglodyte, stuck in the past, etc., 0.55

00:51:50.840 and most accusing me of making additional statements that I never made. 0.72

00:51:55.400 There were also comments sharing violent fantasies about my family,

00:51:58.380 which I won't repeat.

00:51:59.600 Suffice it to say that we live in a deeply depraved culture,

00:52:03.360 one where people lash out at what is normal.

00:52:05.820 They attack normalcy itself.

00:52:08.980 And that's the first point I want to make about all this.

00:52:12.500 Even if you disagree with what I said,

00:52:15.200 either because you don't believe that that's actually what men want,

00:52:18.000 or because you don't think men should want it,

00:52:20.940 there is no question that I was articulating a very normal,

00:52:24.420 very conventional, and very traditional idea,

00:52:28.340 one that most men through history can relate to,

00:52:31.060 even prior to the industrial age and the invention of the 9-to-5 job.

00:52:35.820 That doesn't automatically mean that you can't be critical of the man-as-breadwinner arrangement,

00:52:40.440 or of men who want to come home to a loving wife and a hot dinner.

00:52:43.480 I mean, if you want to criticize that, sure, go ahead and try. 0.99

00:52:47.400 But it does make you an utterly ridiculous and unserious person 0.97

00:52:51.100 if you treat the concept as somehow shocking and offensive. 0.98

00:52:55.020 You can try to find a reason to oppose the way that billions of men and women

00:52:59.640 have chosen to live their lives,

00:53:00.920 but what you can't do is treat it like some freakish, shocking, outrageous thing.

00:53:06.120 By comparison, just as an analogy,

00:53:08.980 lots of people like Star Wars, right?

00:53:11.140 I don't like Star Wars.

00:53:12.840 Now, I'm free to disagree with the tastes and preferences of the majority of people, 0.90

00:53:16.580 but I would come off like a blabbering lunatic

00:53:19.300 if someone said that Star Wars was their favorite movie,

00:53:21.880 and I reacted by shouting,

00:53:23.040 What? Are you kidding me? Star Wars? You like that movie?

00:53:26.740 I've never heard of anyone who likes that.

00:53:29.040 In fact, you might suspect that my argument against Star Wars is rather weak

00:53:32.040 if I feel the need to overcompensate by pretending that I'm astonished to hear

00:53:35.580 that the film has any fans at all.

00:53:37.180 But this is all the left ever does.

00:53:40.260 They treat totally normal, traditional ideas and value systems

00:53:43.940 as not only wrong, but appalling and bizarre.

00:53:47.880 They do this because they have no real argument

00:53:49.800 against what is normal and traditional.

00:53:51.420 All they have is their theatrical protestations,

00:53:54.220 and they hope that that will be enough.

00:53:56.880 One other thought in this vein.

00:53:59.360 Note that if instead of expressing a desire to come home to a loving wife and children,

00:54:02.900 if a man instead were to express a desire to, say,

00:54:07.340 become a genderqueer trans woman 0.99

00:54:08.960 and join a polyamorous, furry, BDSM sex cult, 1.00

00:54:13.360 the same people attacking him now 0.54

00:54:14.940 would instead forcefully defend the validity of his lifestyle choices and preferences.

00:54:20.020 That's because any and all desires are celebrated by the left

00:54:23.380 unless they are normal and healthy and traditional ones.

00:54:29.120 Second point.

00:54:29.960 I have been criticized for discussing what a man needs

00:54:34.400 and what a man wants

00:54:36.080 without saying anything about what a woman needs and a woman wants.

00:54:40.820 This has been willfully misinterpreted as a claim

00:54:43.060 that women don't need or want anything 1.00

00:54:45.020 or that their needs and wants are unimportant.

00:54:47.640 Now, I, of course, never said that, and I don't think it.

00:54:50.480 I just simply didn't mention the needs of women 0.99

00:54:53.280 because that didn't happen to be the subject

00:54:55.020 that I was speaking about at the time.

00:54:57.540 Okay?

00:54:57.740 Um, just because a person is talking about one subject,

00:55:01.540 it doesn't mean that they are denying the importance

00:55:03.740 of every other subject they aren't talking about in that moment.

00:55:08.140 It is, in fact, okay to talk about men

00:55:10.560 without allotting equal or greater time to a discussion about women.

00:55:13.580 There's already plenty of airtime taken up by conversations about women.

00:55:16.760 And most of the time, when there's a discussion about relationships,

00:55:19.200 it's going to be focused on what women need 1.00

00:55:21.120 and what men need to do to fill those needs. 0.98

00:55:25.080 And yet, if you spend even a few minutes

00:55:27.340 talking about the other side of that coin,

00:55:29.580 you're accused of erasing or marginalizing women. 0.99

00:55:33.060 It's ridiculous. 0.97

00:55:34.500 And also precisely the attitude 0.95

00:55:36.280 that makes this conversation necessary in the first place.

00:55:39.540 Because the attitude for a lot of people

00:55:43.220 is that men are not allowed to talk about

00:55:46.400 what they want and what makes them happy.

00:55:50.600 Women are allowed to talk about that, 1.00

00:55:52.140 but men are not allowed to discuss it.

00:55:54.520 And if you bring it up,

00:55:55.560 it is somehow offensive.

00:55:56.660 You can't even talk about the needs and wants of men

00:56:01.580 without automatically undermining the needs and wants of women. 1.00

00:56:06.220 It is, again, totally ridiculous. 0.96

00:56:08.100 And it's a game that I will not play. 0.94

00:56:11.160 Third, many of my critics have taken special exception

00:56:14.960 to my use of the word grateful.

00:56:18.680 It's bad enough that I would promote, as they say,

00:56:21.340 a patriarchal and sexist family arrangement.

00:56:24.140 But it's even worse that I would suggest

00:56:25.940 that a wife should be grateful to her husband

00:56:27.980 and for the sacrifices that he makes for the family.

00:56:31.620 This tweet from someone with the username VMW is typical.

00:56:34.380 She says,

00:56:35.180 I'm far from what one would call a feminist.

00:56:37.200 And as a woman who was a stay-at-home mom

00:56:38.780 and does cook dinner most nights,

00:56:40.440 even I objected to your grateful comment.

00:56:43.240 Maybe it's you who should try some reevaluation

00:56:45.680 of your thoughts regarding a wife's role

00:56:47.620 and motivation in marriage.

00:56:50.680 Well, I've got some bad news for this lady. 1.00

00:56:53.420 If she doesn't think that she should have gratitude

00:56:55.920 for her husband,

00:56:56.740 if indeed she thinks grateful is a dirty word,

00:57:00.260 then it's highly probable that her husband is unhappy

00:57:02.660 and her marriage is miserable,

00:57:04.880 a miserable drudgery for all involved, 0.86

00:57:06.920 including the kids.

00:57:09.020 Gratitude is absolutely essential

00:57:11.460 to any happy marriage.

00:57:13.660 And yes, that means that the gratitude

00:57:15.740 should go both ways.

00:57:17.440 But if you hear someone say,

00:57:19.240 wives should be grateful for their husbands, 1.00

00:57:20.800 and your immediate response is,

00:57:22.500 oh yeah, well what about husbands, huh?

00:57:24.280 They need to be grateful too, you know.

00:57:27.380 If that's your response,

00:57:28.460 then you've revealed yourself

00:57:29.520 to be an emotional child, 0.99

00:57:31.140 a self-centered brat,

00:57:32.960 reacting like a three-year-old 0.97

00:57:34.260 who sees that her brother

00:57:35.120 got slightly more ice cream in her bowl.

00:57:36.660 That's not fair.

00:57:37.460 What about me?

00:57:38.100 That attitude is a perfect example

00:57:41.160 of what a lack of gratitude

00:57:42.320 looks like in practice.

00:57:44.760 And it is absolutely toxic.

00:57:48.680 Fourth point, finally.

00:57:51.800 Rather than crying about the fact

00:57:54.780 that so many men desire to come home

00:57:56.700 from work to a happy and grateful family,

00:57:58.940 you might take a moment to consider

00:58:00.820 why they desire it,

00:58:03.560 why we desire it.

00:58:04.640 Now, it could be that we're all 1.00

00:58:06.840 a bunch of woman-hating psychopaths 1.00

00:58:08.820 who hate women so much 1.00

00:58:10.300 that we married 0.92

00:58:11.220 and literally dedicated our lives to them.

00:58:14.240 Or, it could be that

00:58:16.660 we are human beings

00:58:18.480 who feel that deepest of human longings

00:58:20.900 to love and be loved.

00:58:23.460 We want to love our families

00:58:25.860 by providing for them.

00:58:27.640 We want to love them

00:58:28.880 by being useful to them,

00:58:30.740 by giving them something that they need.

00:58:32.840 This is why getting laid off

00:58:35.100 or fired or forced out of work

00:58:36.520 for long stretches

00:58:37.260 or even retiring

00:58:38.140 can sometimes be literally deadly for a man.

00:58:42.300 He feels deprived

00:58:43.260 of the opportunity to be useful,

00:58:45.600 to love his family

00:58:47.080 in an active and productive way.

00:58:49.780 This is what lies at the root

00:58:51.160 of that terrible, evil, patriarchal male urge

00:58:55.340 to be a breadwinner.

00:58:56.580 What lies at the root

00:58:57.620 is his desire

00:58:58.520 to give to those he loves.

00:59:00.820 How awful, right?

00:59:03.800 What a terrible thing.

00:59:06.180 And yes, he also wants to be loved.

00:59:08.280 He wants to know that his efforts

00:59:09.720 are noticed and appreciated.

00:59:11.600 He wants a warmth and love

00:59:13.340 and affection and gratitude

00:59:14.480 and respect from his wife.

00:59:16.120 And if he doesn't get it,

00:59:17.360 he'll be unhappy

00:59:18.080 with a pain that he feels

00:59:19.880 at the deepest levels of his soul,

00:59:22.360 but which he may never speak out loud

00:59:24.420 for as long as he lives.

00:59:26.460 I mean, a man won't usually say

00:59:27.740 any of this out loud,

00:59:28.740 especially these days

00:59:30.020 when he's certain to be shouted down,

00:59:31.620 you know,

00:59:31.860 if he dare verbalize any of it.

00:59:35.460 But it's the truth.

00:59:38.560 And those who try to stop us

00:59:39.800 from acknowledging this truth

00:59:41.000 or talking about it,

00:59:43.240 they are the ones

00:59:44.040 who are today canceled.

00:59:46.200 And that'll do it

00:59:46.740 for this portion of the show.

00:59:47.960 We'll move over to the members block.

00:59:49.020 Hope to see you there.

00:59:49.820 If not, talk to you tomorrow.

00:59:50.880 Godspeed.

00:59:51.220 Peace.

00:59:58.040 Peace.

00:59:59.380 Peace.

00:59:59.940 Peace.

01:00:10.000 Peace.

01:00:10.080 Peace.

01:00:10.320 Peace.

01:00:10.380 Peace.

01:00:10.400 Peace.

01:00:10.480 Peace.

01:00:10.500 Peace.

01:00:16.640 Peace.

01:00:16.780 Peace.

01:00:16.820 Peace.
