The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 1128 - The Pride Flag Deserves Our Disrespect

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Walsh Show, the government at every level is covering every square inch of the country in rainbow flags.

00:00:05.940 This includes the streets in our city, but one rainbow flag mural in the middle of the roadway of one city has been defaced with tire marks.

00:00:12.640 Is this the worst hate crime in human history? Obviously. We'll talk about it.

00:00:16.400 Also, the Biden administration celebrates International Women's Day by recognizing 11 of the most courageous women in the world.

00:00:22.820 And one of those courageous women, of course, is a man.

00:00:25.640 Plus, Hillary Clinton worries that our coming climate change apocalypse will have a disproportionate impact on women. 1.00

00:00:31.280 Kamala Harris introduces a new phrase, climate mental health.

00:00:34.240 And in our daily cancellation, I must once again deal with a YouTuber who did his best to debunk my arguments against child gender transition and obviously failed miserably.

00:00:42.460 All of that and more today on the Matt Walsh Show.

00:00:44.240 You know, in the economy these days, everyone is just trying to survive.

00:00:56.620 And if you own a business, the past few years especially have been a bumpy ride, to say the least, from COVID lockdowns to Biden inflation.

00:01:02.700 You could probably use a break and innovation refunds can help with that.

00:01:06.140 If your business has five or more employees and managed to survive COVID, well, you could be eligible to receive a payroll tax rebate of up to $26,000 per employee through the employee retention credit.

00:01:16.560 This is not a loan.

00:01:17.880 There's no payback.

00:01:18.880 It's a refund of your taxes.

00:01:20.720 But you have to go to getrefunds.com to find out about it.

00:01:24.720 Their team of tax attorneys are highly trained in this little-known payroll tax refund program.

00:01:28.120 And they've already returned $1 billion to businesses, and they can help you to, they do all the work with no charge up front.

00:01:34.680 And they simply share a percentage of the cash that they get for you.

00:01:37.720 Businesses of all types can qualify, including those who took PPP, nonprofits, even those that had increases in sales can still qualify.

00:01:44.120 You can see if your business qualifies for ERC assistance in about eight minutes.

00:01:47.080 Just go to getrefunds.com, click on qualify me, and answer a few questions.

00:01:50.860 This payroll tax refund is only available for a limited time.

00:01:52.960 Don't miss out.

00:01:53.480 Go to getrefunds.com, getrefunds.com.

00:01:56.320 Every country has its flag, every nation, its national symbols.

00:02:01.380 Japan has the red dot inside a white rectangle. 0.80

00:02:04.260 Mexico has the red, white, and green vertical stripes with its national coat of arms in the center.

00:02:08.560 The Russian flag consists of white, blue, and red horizontal stripes, and many different flags across the world.

00:02:14.620 And then we, of course, have our national flag, which is the gay pride flag, the rainbow.

00:02:19.380 The pride flag was invented in the late 70s by a gay activist at the urging of his friend, Harvey Milk.

00:02:26.660 And Harvey Milk, of course, is a San Francisco politician and bureaucrat who had a penchant for molesting drug-addicted underage boys. 0.62

00:02:33.700 So it was his idea that he passed along to his friend, an activist, and that was a man named Gilbert Baker, who was a radical leftist and drag queen, who, for a time, was a member of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a blasphemous group of cross-dressing men who run around dressed like sexualized, sacrilegious nuns.

00:02:52.780 The flag was a political statement.

00:02:56.480 It was a far, far-left political statement from the very beginning.

00:03:02.100 And it still is, of course, which is why it's changed over the years to accommodate the political needs of the far left.

00:03:09.100 Today, of course, the pride flag, which was always tacky and gaudy in appearance, now looks something like something that was maybe designed by a blind schizophrenic. 0.94

00:03:20.000 It is, in appearance, as ugly and objectionable as the agenda it represents.

00:03:27.120 The left continually defiles its own flag, adding clashing shapes and colors, making uglier what was already hideous in the first place.

00:03:35.900 The flag defaces itself to symbolize what it seeks to do to the culture, essentially.

00:03:43.240 You know, at one time, it was flown primarily at pride marches and far-left political rallies.

00:03:49.100 But that has changed in recent years.

00:03:52.280 Now, the leftist regime that controls our country, our cultural elites, have taken this unsightly banner and elevated it literally and figuratively.

00:04:02.400 They have made it into our new national flag.

00:04:05.900 The flag of the United States of Gay, we might say. 0.51

00:04:09.040 For the stars and stripes, what was supposed to be our actual national flag, we're meant to kneel, to turn away, to have a conversation about its problematic history.

00:04:20.420 But for the pride flag, we're ordered to stand at attention, honor it, show it deference. 0.68

00:04:25.920 That's why the pride flag now flies over our embassies abroad.

00:04:30.820 It's why the White House has been lit up in its colors.

00:04:33.880 It's why the flag flies over state houses and cabinet departments and the FBI headquarters.

00:04:40.180 It flies over school buildings.

00:04:42.040 It flies inside classrooms.

00:04:44.380 The government at every level, from local to state to federal, now waves this flag.

00:04:49.820 But they don't always wave it, which should be clear, because sometimes they paint it in the street where it can't really wave.

00:04:56.700 Many cities across the country have taken to painting enormous pride flag murals in the middle of their streets and intersections.

00:05:04.540 Ironically, it is certain, I would say, that all of these cities that have painted these pride flags in the street,

00:05:11.140 they've also issued various PSAs and put up signs warning about the dangers of distracted driving.

00:05:17.140 And I know that because you find that in every city in America.

00:05:20.600 Because it's, you know, it's really important to pay attention and focus while you're on the road

00:05:25.000 so that you can be blinded by the rainbow landmine we've painted in the middle of the intersection.

00:05:31.080 Most recently, the city of Fort Lauderdale paved essentially one of its entire streets in the clashing colors of the gay rainbow. 1.00

00:05:39.840 But then disaster struck.

00:05:41.500 Apparently, this mural, which again was painted directly on the road where cars drive, was defaced by tire marks.

00:05:51.600 Almost as if cars had driven over it on the road, if you can imagine.

00:05:57.820 Here's 7 News of Miami with the shocking story.

00:06:01.120 Listen.

00:06:01.300 Well, it's a brand new installation in the city of Fort Lauderdale, a pride flag.

00:06:06.300 And it was already vandalized, not once, but possibly twice.

00:06:10.840 Only on 6th tonight, it seems that a group of men on bicycles may have targeted the flag first.

00:06:16.620 Alyssa joins us now with more.

00:06:18.360 And police are now set to review this other incident.

00:06:21.540 Alyssa?

00:06:23.980 Right.

00:06:24.520 Well, police are now looking into that latest video.

00:06:27.360 In fact, police, Fort Lauderdale police, were back out here just about an hour ago to pick up that new surveillance video.

00:06:33.920 We're understanding that they're going to then review that video and look to see whether they believe that this was another intentional act of vandalism against this pride flag behind me.

00:06:46.260 New video tonight raising even more suspicions after a new pride flag installation in the city of Fort Lauderdale was found defaced, left covered in skid marks.

00:06:57.040 Fort Lauderdale police was already investigating the vandalism after surveillance video from the nearby Merriweather Resort showed a pickup truck on February 28th doing a blowout over the length of the flag, leaving dark tire tracks behind, all while the passenger of his car gets out and films.

00:07:16.240 I just see people that just have time on their hands that are destructing property and spewing hate.

00:07:22.280 Mary Jo Whitehurst, who manages the Merriweather, also found this surveillance video from a few days before that.

00:07:29.120 Guests had mentioned bicyclists leaving behind skid marks.

00:07:33.020 The new video, which she only discovered today, is still being reviewed by police.

00:07:38.220 It shows at least three young men on bicycles circling the flag, leaving tire marks several times.

00:07:43.980 Yes, how dare that guy in the pickup truck stop others from living their lives by leaving tire marks on the road?

00:07:52.940 I mean, how exactly is anyone in the world prevented from living their lives or prevented from doing anything at all by tire marks on a gay pride flag in the middle of the street? 0.66

00:08:04.920 I mean, how does that work exactly?

00:08:06.900 The man says that the vandal has scuffed up someone's life.

00:08:11.040 Well, whose life precisely?

00:08:14.180 Was the mural a living being of some kind?

00:08:17.360 Did it cry out in pain as the kids on bicycles rode over top of it?

00:08:21.300 How does that work?

00:08:23.160 Well, however it works, the police are on the case.

00:08:25.460 We know that.

00:08:26.280 They will find the evildoer.

00:08:28.660 Evildoers, actually. 0.99

00:08:29.480 There's multiple people.

00:08:31.000 This was, look, this was not some minor crime like armed robbery or murder or something like that.

00:08:37.240 This was an act of disrespect against the regime's sacred symbol, and that cannot be allowed to stand.

00:08:44.480 As the mayor of Fort Lauderdale has made clear, such blasphemy will not be tolerated.

00:08:49.960 In a statement, he declared, quote,

00:08:51.380 If they were sending us a message, I have a message to send back to them.

00:08:55.740 You are not welcome.

00:08:57.360 Take your hatred somewhere else.

00:08:59.280 We will find the perpetrators.

00:09:00.960 We will track them down.

00:09:03.540 How heroic.

00:09:04.360 This is basically the mayor's George Bush moment, standing atop the rubble of the towers, promising to bring the terrorists to justice.

00:09:14.500 Although, of course, this is way worse than 9-11.

00:09:16.680 Goes without saying.

00:09:18.500 To make matters worse, this hate crime committed against the road is not an isolated incident.

00:09:23.840 Shockingly, many of the other pride flags painted on streets across America have also wound up with tire marks of their own,

00:09:31.560 leading to manhunts to track down the culprits.

00:09:35.280 Law enforcement in places like Reno and Atlanta and other cities have launched investigations into similar incidents.

00:09:41.660 So this is the process now.

00:09:43.260 This is what they do.

00:09:44.060 The cities paint rainbows all over the street and then wait for tire marks to end up on the rainbows.

00:09:49.780 And then they send the police to go find who was the dastardly villain who drove on the street over the thing that they put in the street.

00:09:59.540 Just a few months ago, elsewhere in Florida, a man was arrested for defiling a pride flag painted across an entire intersection.

00:10:08.080 The culprit, as local media reports, Alexander Jarek, broke down in tears in court and pled for forgiveness as his lawyer in an effort to explain his actions.

00:10:18.700 Because, of course, his actions were so heinous that they needed to be explained this way.

00:10:22.100 His lawyer, according to the reports, compared him to the mentally disabled character from Of Mice and Men.

00:10:30.620 That's what his lawyer said.

00:10:32.720 The judge ultimately sentenced him to probation, community service, and mental health screening. 0.99

00:10:39.680 Because if you make tire marks on a gay pride flag, if you disrespect a gay pride flag, then obviously you're crazy. 0.98

00:10:46.800 And so you have to get a mental health screening. 0.99

00:10:48.880 And that wasn't it either.

00:10:49.900 He also forced the guy to write a 25-page essay about the shooting at Pulse, which is the gay club in Orlando.

00:10:59.680 Now, this is likely the harshest sentence ever given to anyone for the crime of making tire marks on a public street.

00:11:07.960 But it wasn't enough for gay activists in the city.

00:11:09.860 Nicholas Coppola, who's a board member of the Palm Beach County's LGBTQ Community Center, said that he should have been charged with a hate crime.

00:11:17.980 In a very revealing comparison, he said that Jarek's actions were no different from desecrating a church.

00:11:25.620 But Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Ehrenberg explained that the law would only allow hate crime charges if Jarek selected a specific victim based on sexual orientation.

00:11:35.780 Yet the victim here was the city, technically.

00:11:37.960 And as Ehrenberg clarified, and I'm quoting him now, the city has no sexual orientation.

00:11:45.820 Yes, we've reached a point where that needs to be explained.

00:11:48.220 Now, let's not be coy about this.

00:11:54.660 Yes, it should be expected that anything painted in the street will end up scuffed and tire marked.

00:12:00.180 That should be expected.

00:12:02.400 But also, yes, clearly from the video, the tire marks on the Fort Lauderdale mural were put there on purpose.

00:12:10.680 I mean, this wasn't an intentional act of vandalism.

00:12:12.420 It wasn't.

00:12:12.760 The guy was obviously doing that intentionally.

00:12:16.720 You can tell that from the video.

00:12:19.580 And to that, I say, okay.

00:12:24.020 Now, I'm not endorsing the destruction of public property.

00:12:28.860 I certainly am not encouraging anyone to engage in such behavior.

00:12:33.120 I couldn't say that.

00:12:35.520 But what is it that the left said about the BLM rioters?

00:12:39.600 You know, the ones that caused quite a bit more destruction of public property.

00:12:43.820 What was it?

00:12:45.100 It was they're speaking in the language of the unheard. 0.98

00:12:48.660 That was it, right?

00:12:50.620 Well, here you go.

00:12:51.620 I would say something similar in this case.

00:12:53.780 Lots of unheard and powerless people are looking around at our country and noticing that this far left political symbol is being shoved in our faces everywhere we turn, including and especially by our governing authorities.

00:13:06.760 And it's being elevated to a place of greater importance and status than the American flag itself, and these people are disgusted by it, and they're sick of it, and they are beyond frustrated, and they should be.

00:13:20.720 Let's just put this plainly.

00:13:23.040 The pride flag does not deserve our respect. 0.81

00:13:27.260 In fact, it deserves our disrespect.

00:13:29.940 It deserves our contempt and mockery. 1.00

00:13:32.360 It is not the flag of gay people, okay? 1.00

00:13:37.280 That's not what it is. 0.99

00:13:38.680 Gay people in America, they already have a flag. 0.99

00:13:42.380 It's called the American flag. 0.98

00:13:43.740 It's the flag we all share or are supposed to share.

00:13:47.460 The pride flag, which was invented by a far left activist drag queen, represents not a person or a people or a community, but an agenda.

00:13:57.700 A political and cultural agenda.

00:14:00.240 It always has.

00:14:01.680 It has from the very beginning.

00:14:03.600 It still does now.

00:14:06.340 And today, nearly all of the most depraved and perverse attacks on children, on tradition, on decency, on common sense, are waged under this banner.

00:14:17.620 That's what it signifies, okay? 0.91

00:14:20.240 The gay pride flag signifies drag queens dancing for toddlers, males invading women's bathrooms. 0.98

00:14:27.360 It signifies castration drugs given to children. 0.99

00:14:30.120 It signifies the destruction of the nuclear family. 0.92

00:14:32.600 When government officials send that thing up the flagpole or paint its ridiculous colors in the street, that is what they're promoting. 0.64

00:14:38.840 It's what they're advertising. 0.58

00:14:40.300 It is the cause they want us to salute.

00:14:43.320 Not only should we refuse to salute it, but we should treat it with disdain.

00:14:51.040 We should treat it as a hate symbol because that's what it is.

00:14:54.680 They fly the flag, that flag, because they hate you and your values and what you believe and everything you stand for.

00:15:04.060 And so we should respond in kind to this symbol.

00:15:09.860 In other words, we should give the pride flag all of the respect that the left shows the American flag.

00:15:16.820 Let's just put it that way.

00:15:19.440 Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:16:25.420 The Biden administration, this is Daily Wire Report,

00:16:27.200 Biden administration awarded a biological man an award for courage in honor of International Women's Day

00:16:32.740 during a Wednesday ceremony at the White House.

00:16:35.100 Alba Rueda, a man who identifies as a woman, received an International Women of Courage Award

00:16:39.520 alongside 10 women from Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and First Lady Jill Biden.

00:16:45.100 Rueda is Argentina's Special Envoy for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.

00:16:50.880 I'm sorry, wait.

00:16:52.160 Special Envoy for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.

00:16:56.420 This is what we're doing now.

00:16:57.760 You need countries need an envoy for sexual orientation. 0.89

00:17:02.920 Nobody knows what that means or what that actually entails, but that's what it is.

00:17:08.220 And it's also the country's first trans-identifying politician to hold a senior government position.

00:17:12.160 According to the State Department, the award is meant for extraordinary women from around the world

00:17:16.180 who are working to build a brighter future for all of us.

00:17:19.780 And we have a video of that.

00:17:21.840 Let's check it out.

00:17:22.340 In Argentina, Alba Rueda is a transgender woman who was kicked out of classrooms, 1.00

00:17:29.380 barred for sitting for exams, refused job opportunities, subjected to violence, and rejected by her family.

00:17:35.460 But in the face of these challenges, she worked to end violence and discrimination

00:17:39.340 against the LGBTQI plus community in Argentina.

00:17:52.020 So there you have it.

00:17:53.140 Only 11 women earned the International Courage Award.

00:17:56.520 These are women from all over the world. 0.99

00:17:57.900 So these are supposed to be the most courageous women in the entire world, right?

00:18:04.540 Billions of women, and we're giving the award to 11 of them. 0.98

00:18:08.720 And one of them was a man.

00:18:11.420 So what does that tell you?

00:18:13.820 This is obviously, yet again, womanhood being appropriated, women being demeaned and excluded,

00:18:20.120 and all of that.

00:18:21.500 And you know, of course, how I feel about that.

00:18:25.500 But I've been, you know, I've been thinking about something else, too.

00:18:29.380 Yesterday was International Women's Day.

00:18:31.400 Well, the whole month is Women's History Month, 0.94

00:18:33.820 which is, of course, just another opportunity to celebrate men, but not men,

00:18:39.400 because we can't celebrate men who identify as men.

00:18:42.200 No, we can't do that.

00:18:43.440 But we can celebrate men who identify as women.

00:18:46.620 And I've been thinking about this,

00:18:48.560 and we always talk about the appropriation of womanhood.

00:18:54.500 And yet, if you notice, we rarely, if ever, talk about the appropriation of manhood.

00:18:59.220 And why is that?

00:19:00.260 Because after all, there are plenty of females transitioning the other way, right? 1.00

00:19:04.880 In fact, that is more common, at least among kids, among adolescents.

00:19:10.540 And I don't know, across the board, including kids and adults, you know, how it all balances out.

00:19:15.300 But certainly, in the coming years, given this deluge, this just tidal wave of adolescent girls 0.99

00:19:23.500 who are, quote-unquote, transitioning, if the scales have already tipped in that direction, they will.

00:19:29.120 So, got a lot of girls and women, females, who are transitioning to, you know, to try to appear as men.

00:19:38.900 Yet, we aren't concerned, really, about manhood, about masculinity being appropriated.

00:19:46.500 And why is that?

00:19:47.180 And I think the answer is this.

00:19:48.640 I'm concerned about how masculinity is treated in society, degraded, cheapened, shamed, etc.

00:19:57.140 But the great threat isn't really women becoming men, or pretending to. 0.94

00:20:02.600 It doesn't seem to be as much of a threat that direction as it is the other direction, when men become women. 0.87

00:20:07.660 And I think it's because the motivation to transition tends to be very different for males than it is for females.

00:20:15.000 So, females, especially adolescent girls, infected by this social contagion,

00:20:19.740 they transition as an act of rejection of their femininity, of their femaleness.

00:20:25.420 It is self-loathing.

00:20:27.300 It is self-rejection. 0.89

00:20:28.940 And that's why you see that often, they take the hormones, they have the breasts chopped off. 1.00

00:20:35.600 But they don't always make, and oftentimes, they don't make any serious attempt to actually appear as men.

00:20:41.880 Instead, they end up settling as kind of defeminized females. 1.00

00:20:46.380 And that's a lot of the transition, quote-unquote, that we see of girls. 0.99

00:20:52.160 It's not becoming boys, or trying to become boys, but becoming a defeminized female. 0.67

00:20:59.880 There's a reason why you don't see many girls fully embracing the kind of masculine cartoon stereotype, 0.51

00:21:07.700 as men do when they try to transition to become women.

00:21:11.500 They become like cartoons of women. 0.53

00:21:14.040 You don't see it as much the other way.

00:21:15.740 But girls, they're not trying out for the football teams. 1.00

00:21:18.940 They're not going to the gym, and all of that.

00:21:24.540 There's some of that, but there's not much.

00:21:26.780 Because they aren't actually interested in trying to be boys.

00:21:31.000 They just want to not be girls. 0.99

00:21:33.400 They want to not be who they are.

00:21:36.280 On the other hand, the men who transition, and this is especially the case for men, the adults,

00:21:41.120 often they're motivated by a fetishizing of femininity. 0.99

00:21:46.240 And they don't want to fully reject their manhood.

00:21:49.320 There's a reason why, quote-unquote, bottom surgery for men is still relatively rare.

00:21:53.780 It's more common now than it used to be, but it's still relatively rare.

00:21:57.380 So a huge number of these men who go around identifying as women,

00:22:01.160 they haven't gone through the surgical transition.

00:22:06.460 Because they still want all of those parts.

00:22:09.480 That's because they don't reject their manhood completely.

00:22:12.980 They just want to absorb womanhood in order to satisfy their desires. 0.99

00:22:19.900 This is not a blanket statement that covers everyone.

00:22:22.400 There's plenty of self-loathing among men who identify as trans.

00:22:25.780 There's perhaps some fetishizing of manhood by women who try to become men. 0.99

00:22:30.140 So some of that goes both ways.

00:22:32.220 But I think that this is a trend or a noticeable pattern that we should be investigating more.

00:22:41.220 All right.

00:22:42.440 So two clips that may seem unrelated, but they're really not.

00:22:48.780 First, here's Hillary Clinton talking about climate change. 0.96

00:22:51.900 And finally, I'm so glad that Elena Zelenska is here because women are... 1.00

00:23:01.460 Women and children are the primary victims of conflict and of climate change.

00:23:13.020 And there is no place that unfortunately, tragically shows us that more dramatically than Ukraine today.

00:23:21.740 But there are a lot of other conflicts, a lot of other challenges that we have to take into account

00:23:28.740 as we look at gender apartheid in Afghanistan,

00:23:31.700 the persecution and oppression of girls and women exercising their freedom of choice in Iran and so many other places.

00:23:42.800 Women are primarily affected by climate change. 1.00

00:23:46.640 So the world is coming to an end.

00:23:48.920 We're all going to drown.

00:23:50.000 The ice caps are going to melt.

00:23:52.200 Women most affected.

00:23:54.800 Maybe so.

00:23:55.800 But, you know, that's why we shouldn't have destroyed gender roles, Hillary. 0.98

00:23:59.380 Have you thought about that?

00:24:00.160 Because if we still had gender roles, we still had concepts like chivalry, 0.78

00:24:03.420 then women would be guaranteed first crack at the lifeboats when the ice caps melt and the whole world is flooded. 1.00

00:24:10.720 Because that's the way it used to be.

00:24:12.080 But you got rid of the gender roles, so that means we're all drowning now.

00:24:14.400 Or it's just going to be a mad rush for the lifeboats and whoever's strongest makes it in.

00:24:19.480 And so in that way, women are the most affected.

00:24:23.020 But, be that as it may, she says women are the most affected by climate change.

00:24:28.180 Here's Cori Bush pulling kind of a similar move in a different context.

00:24:32.880 But let's listen to this.

00:24:35.180 You described that the price increases had a disproportionate effect on black, brown, and low-income families.

00:24:40.500 How did the administration's actions and the ensuing drop in gas prices, how did it help those same families?

00:24:52.000 And while there are a number of factors that affect the price of oil,

00:24:55.000 in an interview with Oxford, I believe, Dr. B did concede that the strategic use of SPR did have an impact.

00:25:02.640 It's hard to quantify and hard to tell, but it definitely had an impact in the price of oil.

00:25:08.840 We need to focus on making more public investments to lower our energy demand

00:25:14.240 by taking actions such as expanding public transit and installing energy-efficient technology like electric heat pumps.

00:25:21.620 Mr. Drummer, how does making investments in people through safe energy systems

00:25:25.380 and people benefit climate justice and energy security?

00:25:29.220 What are the exciting things from the Inflation Reduction Act?

00:25:34.140 I think we've seen enough of that.

00:25:36.080 So you have climate change, the world's coming to an end, women most affected by that, 0.93

00:25:42.220 and then gas prices increase, and black and brown people are the most affected by the increase in gas prices.

00:25:50.380 Now, I've never seen at the gas station, like, different prices listed, depending on the color of your skin.

00:25:59.280 And so if you have darker skin, you've got to pay more.

00:26:02.180 I've never seen that.

00:26:03.340 I'll say one thing for sure.

00:26:05.120 If that exists at any gas station, if Cori Bush has encountered that at a gas station,

00:26:09.720 then I absolutely oppose it.

00:26:11.640 I do not believe in racialized pricing for gas.

00:26:15.680 But I don't think that that actually exists anywhere.

00:26:19.960 So what that means is that the gas price is increasing, and it affects everybody the same.

00:26:25.980 Well, anyone who drives, anyway.

00:26:28.100 If you don't drive, then I suppose you're not as affected by it.

00:26:31.120 But if you drive around, you're affected by it.

00:26:33.800 Prices are the same for everybody.

00:26:34.920 But what you notice is that these people on the left, they can't even pretend to care about everyone.

00:26:47.080 They used to pretend.

00:26:48.720 They used to at least pretend.

00:26:50.920 They put on a little bit of an act to pretend that they were concerned about all people and all Americans and all citizens.

00:26:57.780 They don't do that anymore.

00:26:58.860 They don't even pretend.

00:26:59.900 Any kind, any problem, whatever the problem is, they need to find a way to position the problem as an attack on the marginalized,

00:27:10.260 quote-unquote marginalized groups, their favorite groups, in order for them to pay attention to it.

00:27:15.000 They have to justify paying attention to any problem at all by making an argument that this problem disproportionately impacts their favorite groups.

00:27:24.980 And if they can't find a way to do that, if they can't find a way to argue, if you take any problem at all, whatever the issue is, whatever the problem is,

00:27:38.540 even if it's a made-up problem like climate change, if they can't find a way to claim that this is really, you know, in some ways inherently racist or sexist,

00:27:50.580 then they'll just ignore it.

00:27:51.440 That, of course, is the Ohio train derailment.

00:27:54.720 And that's how you explain the reaction by the federal government to the Ohio train derailment,

00:28:00.700 or rather the lack of reaction until they were forced.

00:28:04.520 Eventually, they were forced to pretend to care, but it took them about three weeks.

00:28:09.820 Because they looked at it and they said, well, you know, this is a working-class town in Ohio.

00:28:16.280 It's a white working-class town.

00:28:17.780 It would be very difficult for us to argue that this train derailment right outside of a white working-class town

00:28:25.020 disproportionately impacts black people or women or, you know, trans people.

00:28:31.000 And because they couldn't figure out a way to make that argument,

00:28:34.060 the men just didn't talk about it.

00:28:36.020 Because they don't care about all Americans and they're done even pretending that they do.

00:28:41.620 Speaking of the climate, here is Kamala Harris with a new leftist buzz phrase that you can add to your dictionary now, 0.99

00:28:51.900 if you're keeping track at home.

00:28:53.460 Here it is.

00:28:54.860 I mean, one of the young leaders was talking to me about climate mental health.

00:29:00.480 I said, tell me what's going on with your peers.

00:29:02.860 Climate mental health.

00:29:04.080 And she talked, I said, I think I understand that, but unpack it for me.

00:29:09.500 And she talked about how her peers are thinking about it.

00:29:13.960 One example is, you know, whether when they're ready, could they start a family?

00:29:20.560 Worried about what that would mean.

00:29:22.980 And the stress of it.

00:29:24.780 They were talking about it in terms of their peers trying to figure out, you know,

00:29:29.480 they're going to have to get a job and they're going to have to make a living,

00:29:31.800 but what can they do and how can they adapt the education that they're having now to their activism?

00:29:38.500 Climate mental health.

00:29:40.520 So we've heard about climate racism.

00:29:42.520 We've heard about climate sexism when the climate, you know, is racist or sexist.

00:29:48.400 And now there is climate mental health that she is going to add to the lexicon. 0.99

00:29:52.980 And aside from, and of course, she only is able to speak in buzz phrases and buzzwords. 0.95

00:30:02.020 Which is why you hear even there, climate mental, we have to unpack that.

00:30:06.780 That phrase alone is already nails on the chalkboard.

00:30:10.080 Let's unpack it.

00:30:11.740 It's even worse than when someone says lean in.

00:30:13.220 We've got to lean into this issue.

00:30:14.720 Let's lean into this issue and really unpack it.

00:30:16.680 And then she throws climate mental health in there and it's simply too much to bear.

00:30:24.200 But also every time I hear about this, about these kids that are, their mental health is being affected

00:30:30.840 by what they hear about the climate, about worries that the world's coming to an end

00:30:35.380 and that all the coastal cities are going to be underwater by the time that, you know, these kids are old enough.

00:30:40.020 And I hear this and my first instinct is to assume that it's completely made up.

00:30:50.200 I mean, not that what they're claiming is going to happen with the climate is made up.

00:30:53.760 Well, we know that's made up.

00:30:54.720 But to assume that these stories about kids that are devastated by it and are like up at night and anxious

00:31:03.100 and stressed out and they're depressed because they're worried about the climate.

00:31:07.060 But every time I hear that, my instinct is to say, well, that doesn't exist.

00:31:11.720 There aren't kids like that.

00:31:13.180 You're making this up.

00:31:15.560 And I assume that because, you know, my own kids, I'm only around normal kids.

00:31:21.020 My own kids are normal.

00:31:22.400 I'm around normal kids, normal parents.

00:31:24.900 So I'm only around normal people.

00:31:26.580 And that's who I choose to be around.

00:31:31.540 And among normal people, this is not a thing, okay?

00:31:34.840 You go, like normal people, you take your kids out, you go to a playground in some just neighborhoods, suburban neighborhood.

00:31:42.660 And normal people out at the playground, normal kids.

00:31:45.160 No one is talking about climate change.

00:31:47.000 The kids aren't sitting on the jungle gym lamenting the fact that the climate is changing and everyone's going to die.

00:31:54.200 So I tend to think that it's all made up.

00:31:58.700 But then I realize that these people, they have, some of them anyway, have kids of their own.

00:32:05.700 A lot of these leftist climate chicken littles, they do have kids. 1.00

00:32:10.220 Some of them anyway.

00:32:11.100 And so they are actually creating, this is intentional, they're creating a generation of kids, trying to create a generation of kids, who really are up at night worried about the climate.

00:32:27.820 So I would much prefer to think that this is made up and it's a lie and they're making this up and these kids don't exist.

00:32:33.220 That there's no kid that's actually feeling burdened by the weather.

00:32:41.140 But I think the situation is much worse than that and there are some kids, probably a lot of them, who actually are having their mental health affected by this.

00:32:51.960 But their mental health is not being affected by the climate.

00:32:54.080 Their mental health is being affected by what they are told about the climate.

00:32:58.000 They're being told by the adults in their life that the world's coming to an end.

00:33:03.520 And yeah, you don't have your future.

00:33:05.880 You're not going to really have a future.

00:33:07.500 The future you're going to grow up in is going to be terrible because of the climate.

00:33:10.680 Yeah, I would think that if you do tell kids that and you hammered into their heads, yeah, that probably would affect their mental health, I would think.

00:33:19.460 And it's an insidious thing to do.

00:33:23.380 Nick Cannon is infamous for having lots of kids.

00:33:26.340 I think he has 12 kids now.

00:33:28.460 And I say infamous not because there's anything wrong with having lots of kids.

00:33:31.680 I, you know, as a father of six, I wouldn't be able to claim that.

00:33:35.120 But because he has them by a bunch of different women who he isn't married to.

00:33:39.600 And now his penchant for creating fatherless homes has led to, or maybe has led to, this show.

00:33:47.940 Watch the commercial here.

00:33:50.020 Guys, you're on a game show right now.

00:33:52.520 Kevin Hart and Nick Cannon are coming to E! for the mother of all game shows.

00:33:58.360 Having my baby with Nick Cannon!

00:34:01.560 You got Pyro?

00:34:02.780 Yeah!

00:34:04.400 You're going to get some contestants that want to have your baby. 1.00

00:34:08.160 We're not kidding around.

00:34:10.080 Eeny, meeny, miny, miny.

00:34:11.160 Let's go!

00:34:12.540 Who's having my baby with Nick Cannon? 1.00

00:34:14.760 Hosted by Kevin Hart.

00:34:16.140 This spring, only on E!

00:34:22.260 Who's having my, so contestants competing to see who can have Nick Cannon's baby.

00:34:26.960 This is literally something out of Idiocracy.

00:34:29.940 We are, we're at the point now where people in charge of this stuff, they just, they watched

00:34:35.160 the movie Idiocracy and they took it as a, they took it as a, as a, as a plan, you know,

00:34:40.040 as a, they, they saw it not as a warning of the future, but as goals to achieve.

00:34:46.340 Now I have seen, I've, so I've seen conflicting reporting on this and some outlets have reported,

00:34:51.140 I think Variety, for example, reported that, um, that this is a real show, that they really

00:34:55.060 are going to do this.

00:34:55.900 Now other outlets are saying that it's fake, Daily Wire reports that it's fake, uh, that

00:35:00.660 it's some kind of skit for something else they're doing, which maybe it is, I'd like

00:35:04.960 to think that it is, but either way, it's, it's disgusting either way, because the whole

00:35:10.580 joke, right, what's the joke here? 0.99

00:35:13.080 The joke is that this deadbeat, Nick Cannon, this scumbag deadbeat has lots of kids that 0.99

00:35:21.040 he doesn't raise. 0.99

00:35:23.120 Look, I'm creating fatherless homes, isn't that hilarious? 0.96

00:35:25.900 Isn't that, isn't that so funny and quirky? 0.97

00:35:29.940 No, it isn't, you dirtbag. 0.98

00:35:32.660 You're behaving like an animal, okay? 0.97

00:35:35.380 Copulating with whoever is willing and, and creating lots of offspring that you don't raise.

00:35:42.160 That's what animals do, okay?

00:35:44.840 That's, that's, that's, this is one of the things that's supposed to separate us from animals

00:35:48.060 is that we don't do that.

00:35:50.560 Now that may come as news to you, Nick, but as, as human beings, we create children and

00:35:57.820 we get married and we raise them.

00:35:59.300 So there's really nothing, really nothing funny about it.

00:36:06.800 Now, somebody has lots of kids and they marry the woman that they, that they make the kids 1.00

00:36:14.040 with and they raise the kids and we want to have a fun time with the fact they have so

00:36:19.560 many kids.

00:36:19.860 That's fine.

00:36:20.300 Again, it's, that's, that's me.

00:36:24.020 But creating a bunch of fatherless homes, not exactly funny.

00:36:28.740 But I did find this part of the Daily Wire report about this.

00:36:32.880 So that the whole, the whole idea of like having fun with the fact that he's creating a bunch

00:36:37.240 of fatherless kids who are going to suffer the consequence that that's not funny.

00:36:40.040 This is funny though.

00:36:40.740 This is the part that's, I think it's not supposed to be funny.

00:36:42.460 Um, so Daily Wire lists the kids that, uh, that this guy has and let me just read this

00:36:51.640 part.

00:36:53.080 Nick Cannon shares twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey, sons Golden Sagan

00:36:59.240 and Rise Messiah Cannon and daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell, twins Zion Moxeliden

00:37:08.540 and Zillion Air, that's Zillion, one word, H-E-I-R, Air, Zillion Air, and daughter Beautiful

00:37:16.720 Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa, then also son Legendary Love with Brie, uh, TC and then daughter

00:37:23.480 Onyx Ice Coal with Lanisha Coal.

00:37:28.340 Those are the names that he's given these kids.

00:37:31.260 I like especially Zion Moxeliden, which sounds like some kind of prescription drug.

00:37:36.180 He got that from me.

00:37:36.820 He's always watching.

00:37:37.300 He was up late one night and some, one of the, some commercial for an antidepressant

00:37:41.180 came on and he decided to give that name to his kids.

00:37:43.780 I don't know what this is, but, uh, this also actually isn't really funny on Second Thought 0.90

00:37:49.420 because these are kids who not only are fatherless, but now they've been given these ridiculous 0.92

00:37:52.880 names as well on top of it. 0.94

00:37:54.460 Maybe this is kind of the, the boy named Sue strategy deployed on a massive scale where

00:38:00.280 you're not going to be there to raise the kids.

00:38:01.560 So you give them a ridiculous name to try to toughen them up because you know they're going 0.93

00:38:04.140 to get made fun of it for, for it in school. 0.72

00:38:05.540 I don't know if that's what he's going for, but, uh, that would be my theory anyway.

00:38:10.920 All right.

00:38:11.080 One other thing before we get to the comment section, New York Post, uh, has this headline.

00:38:18.980 Woke moviegoers say cocaine bear, not for kids.

00:38:22.300 It encourages drugs.

00:38:23.820 The article says woke moviegoers saw the new cocaine bear and they think it's way out

00:38:29.060 of line.

00:38:29.520 Cocaine bear has been getting rave reviews, raking in $8.65 million on its opening night, according

00:38:35.200 to IMDb's box office mojo, but not everyone is so fond of the movie.

00:38:38.800 Some woke viewers complained that the new, the new film is encouraging drug use and is

00:38:42.740 not suitable for kids.

00:38:43.760 The movie, which is rated R for bloody violence and gore, it's loosely based on a true story.

00:38:48.100 In 1985, a bear was found dead in the Georgia woods after consuming a drug smuggler stash

00:38:52.140 of cocaine that was dropped from a plane.

00:38:55.080 Okay.

00:38:55.220 To say that this was even loosely based on a true story, that is, uh, I mean, the word

00:38:58.780 loosely is doing a lot of work there.

00:39:00.520 So the only similarity between the movie and the real story is that there was a bear a long

00:39:05.480 time ago or decades ago that apparently consumed cocaine and died.

00:39:08.940 Uh, in the movie, the, the bear consumes cocaine and becomes this super, becomes like this, uh,

00:39:15.180 supernatural monster and then hunts down and viciously gores and mutilates and, and, uh,

00:39:21.160 and murders a whole bunch of people.

00:39:23.560 So loose, very, very loosely based.

00:39:28.420 Some moviegoers were not satisfied with what they saw as extreme movie enthusiast that I am.

00:39:33.780 I found this movie was lacking some soul and desire.

00:39:35.920 One viewer criticized, um, and then, uh, some other ones were saying that it wasn't appropriate

00:39:42.220 for kids and encourages drug use.

00:39:43.400 Okay.

00:39:44.200 Here's the only point I want to make about this.

00:39:45.820 Obviously moviegoers should not be surprised that a movie called cocaine bear has drug use

00:39:51.700 in it.

00:39:52.020 I mean, the title of the movie is basically a bear does drugs, the movie.

00:39:57.640 So it shouldn't surprise you when you sit down and you watch and say, this bear is doing

00:40:01.180 drugs in this movie.

00:40:02.000 That said, can we not do this with the term woke?

00:40:08.140 Can we, can we please not?

00:40:09.960 Because being concerned about drug use in a movie is not woke.

00:40:15.480 Being worried that a film is not appropriate for children is not woke.

00:40:19.800 It's silly in this case because the movie isn't made for kids and the content is not hidden.

00:40:25.240 It's very clear what the movie is.

00:40:26.420 I couldn't be more clear.

00:40:28.340 It's one of those movies that, uh, you know, just based on the, it's like snakes on a plane

00:40:32.360 kind of based on the title alone, you know, everything you need to know about the film,

00:40:35.360 but, uh, but it's not woke.

00:40:38.820 And I am a little bit worried.

00:40:40.060 I see this happening a little bit where this is what's happening with the term woke.

00:40:44.140 It's being expanded in this way to the point where if anyone has any kind of like moral

00:40:51.180 concern or especially when it comes to entertainment, anyone who says that any kind of entertainment

00:40:56.960 isn't appropriate or, or it has some problems automatically, it becomes a woke.

00:41:01.780 Now that is not woke.

00:41:03.360 It's actually the opposite.

00:41:05.340 Woke is bringing your kid to a movie with drug use and inappropriate content and not caring.

00:41:10.940 Okay.

00:41:11.440 Woke is, is intentionally exposing your children to inappropriate material.

00:41:16.480 That's what woke is.

00:41:18.920 Being, being overly concerned about inappropriate, uh, material for kids.

00:41:23.980 That is, that's, that's anti-woke.

00:41:25.480 That's the opposite of woke.

00:41:27.740 And I wish that was our main problem as a culture.

00:41:30.840 I wish we still lived in a culture where you could even claim that, uh, people are a little

00:41:35.040 bit overly concerned or too concerned.

00:41:37.560 They overreact to inappropriate content.

00:41:40.060 I wish that was the case, but that's not the case here at all.

00:41:43.460 All right.

00:41:44.060 Let's get to the comment section.

00:42:46.600 Jordan says, I love how Matt makes fun of plushies while having a walrus plushie in the

00:42:50.800 background on the left-hand side of this video.

00:42:52.900 Well, that's entirely different.

00:42:53.980 That's completely, that's a different sort of thing, Jordan.

00:42:57.360 Okay, because, yeah, I make fun of adults who buy plushies or have plushies unless it's

00:43:03.480 one that I'm selling.

00:43:04.680 Okay, that, so I take a, I'm a man of principle and I'm also a capitalist.

00:43:10.200 And so that's, that's the principle here.

00:43:12.580 You absolutely should not own plushies as a grown adult unless you're buying it from

00:43:17.740 me, in which case exceptions can be made.

00:43:20.540 Um, and you can go to dailywire.com slash shop right now and get your own walrus plushie,

00:43:27.580 which I very much recommend you do.

00:43:28.800 Kyle says, never apologize for the Valentine's Day massacre.

00:43:32.180 What was said about Mulvaney is spot on and needed to be said.

00:43:35.600 I like that we're calling it that monologue, the, the Valentine's Day massacre.

00:43:39.800 I don't know if this is a thing that's caught on, but I, but it should.

00:43:42.760 Let's let it, let's forever refer to it as that.

00:43:45.900 Um, and it, and it, you know, Valentine's Day massacre, when it's just a monologue about

00:43:52.480 something that may seem a little bit overblown, but I have been told that it was a murderous

00:43:57.320 genocidal thing.

00:43:58.480 They were just words, but they were murderous and genocidal.

00:44:00.940 And so I think Valentine's Day massacre actually is appropriate. 1.00

00:44:05.060 Bad Mr. Frosty says, I could not imagine being lucky enough to work somewhere as cool as a

00:44:09.980 daily wire.

00:44:10.460 Can you imagine actually being able to work there and quitting?

00:44:12.840 I live in North Carolina.

00:44:13.740 If you guys have anything I could do remotely from here, please let me know.

00:44:16.580 I'm with you.

00:44:17.720 It is, I mean, I have to admit it is pretty great.

00:44:20.480 And, and also it's, it's like, it is the best game in town.

00:44:24.860 Um, if you want to do anything, it's like in conservative and media, you want to have an

00:44:31.800 impact on the culture in the media.

00:44:34.860 If you want to do anything like that, um, where else are you going to go?

00:44:40.640 So we talked yesterday about the daily wire employee who left because we don't have to

00:44:43.620 rehash all that, but in part, because she was upset about some of the things that I've

00:44:47.480 said, some of the things Michael Knowles have said, has said about, uh, about gender ideology.

00:44:50.600 We're too mean, we're too, uh, you know, blunt to whatever the divisive, I think in our

00:44:55.740 rhetoric was what was claimed.

00:44:59.040 But so go ahead.

00:45:00.460 You could leave.

00:45:00.920 You know what I mean?

00:45:01.120 So no one has to, you don't have to stay here.

00:45:02.260 You can, you can leave.

00:45:03.680 Um, burning the bridge as you leave, not a smart move.

00:45:06.380 So it's not, it doesn't help us in the cultural fight.

00:45:09.320 It's also not good for you for your career.

00:45:10.440 It's just, it's a bad idea.

00:45:11.800 Like, I really can't emphasize that enough, by the way, for, for any young people, if

00:45:14.760 you're listening to this, uh, whatever, whatever job you have, whatever you, it doesn't matter

00:45:18.780 if you're in media or not, whatever your job is, um, if you're young right now and you're

00:45:22.840 working a job, you're probably not going to be there for the rest of your life.

00:45:25.320 You're going to, you're going to, you're going to quit.

00:45:26.580 You're going to leave at some point.

00:45:28.120 You're probably going to quit and leave a whole bunch of jobs, uh, before maybe you finally

00:45:31.740 settle on one that you'll be at for a while.

00:45:33.600 It's generally how it goes.

00:45:34.840 And it is just, there, there may be very rare exceptions.

00:45:41.380 Okay.

00:45:41.820 If you're at a place and something, something illegal is happening or, you know, people are

00:45:46.640 being, are being seriously harmed in some way.

00:45:49.220 There's something, something seriously, seriously unethical is happening behind the scenes.

00:45:52.620 And so, but now you feel like you have to expose it.

00:45:55.600 Then you're in the position of being like a whistleblower.

00:45:58.220 Okay.

00:45:58.520 So there, there could be a situation where it's, it's, it's, it's, you were called upon

00:46:03.280 morally to be a whistleblower.

00:46:05.740 That's different from quitting and burning a bridge.

00:46:08.400 So putting those kinds of situations to the side, I really cannot urge you enough that

00:46:14.000 to, to, to understand this, that if you're leaving, it is just not a good idea to burn

00:46:20.360 the bridge on the way out, to publicize your complaints about the place where you worked

00:46:24.620 and all of that.

00:46:26.140 Like, keep it to yourself for your own sake, keep it to yourself.

00:46:29.980 I know we have the internet and we're all, I know I, just like I am, we're constantly

00:46:34.900 talking and broadcasting our every opinion and, and everything on the internet, but that

00:46:40.900 you don't have to do that.

00:46:42.340 It doesn't mean it's not a requirement.

00:46:44.280 Okay.

00:46:45.520 And there are actually things that can happen in your life that you, that you don't, you

00:46:50.360 shouldn't tell everyone.

00:46:51.940 You don't need to.

00:46:52.880 Um, you really stand to gain nothing from it, but you stand to lose quite a bit because

00:47:00.220 also remember that when you, when you burn the bridge and you attack your former employer,

00:47:02.960 yeah, you've burned the bridge with everyone, with, with the employer and everybody works

00:47:06.540 there, but also other employers saw you do that.

00:47:10.980 And they're going to keep that in mind when you come to them and say, Hey, can I work

00:47:15.340 here?

00:47:15.620 They're going to, they're going to think, well, uh, you worked at that other place for

00:47:19.480 a few months and then left and, uh, and, uh, insulted your colleagues on the way out the

00:47:24.680 door.

00:47:25.160 Are you going to do that to us?

00:47:26.340 I hear this all the time from, from, uh, from, uh, people that do, you know, work in

00:47:31.500 HR departments and they do interviews and stuff.

00:47:33.200 And they say that even when it's not a public complaint, you know, I've heard, I've heard

00:47:37.820 many times that a big red flag when, uh, for someone, for the, for the interviewer is when

00:47:43.220 the interviewee comes down.

00:47:45.180 And one of the first things they do is start complaining about their former employer, even

00:47:49.380 if the complaints are valid.

00:47:51.140 When the interviewer hears the interviewee going on and on and on about how much they

00:47:55.720 hated the other place.

00:47:57.660 Okay.

00:47:58.060 That means that that application, that resume, it's going right in the circular filing bin.

00:48:02.260 Okay.

00:48:02.500 This, this interview is over as we're not interested in you.

00:48:06.020 So just something to keep in mind, a little bit of career advice. 0.93

00:48:10.420 Um, Mr. Jake, the cat, the confrontational jerk community. 0.97

00:48:16.620 I found my people a tear in my eye. 0.98

00:48:18.560 Thank you. 0.96

00:48:19.000 It's, it is, it's, I guess we need an acronym, CJC, confrontational jerk community. 0.99

00:48:26.080 Maybe we can, you know, so we're our own victim group now, as soon as we have the acronym. 0.81

00:48:32.180 Jillian says, Matt, do you ever wonder why Dave Chappelle, who was one of the funniest

00:48:36.520 people on the planet, suddenly lost all his talent, darkened his skin color, lost two inches

00:48:40.800 in height, and went from having long skinny fingers to short pudgy hands?

00:48:44.940 Yeah, me too.

00:48:45.600 I, is this an actual conspiracy theory that, is this, is this a thing that, are you making

00:48:51.120 this up?

00:48:51.520 Is this a conspiracy theory that you are, is this the, uh, the birth of a new conspiracy

00:48:55.400 theory, or is this a thing?

00:48:56.480 If I went and Googled it, would I find a bunch of Reddit posts and all these other forums

00:49:00.020 with this conspiracy?

00:49:01.880 Because what is the theory?

00:49:02.580 The theory is, what, that Dave Chappelle has been replaced by a body snatcher?

00:49:05.600 There's some sort of, he was killed and there's a body double now pretending to be Dave Chappelle?

00:49:11.620 That's an interesting conspiracy theory.

00:49:13.320 I don't know what, I don't know why.

00:49:18.800 But, uh, but sure, let's, let's go with that.

00:49:21.460 I'll, I'll take that.

00:49:22.240 Following the arrival of the Sweet Baby album tease, uh, Sweet Baby Spirit and the Notorious

00:49:28.340 SBG, a new style is taking the culture by storm.

00:49:32.680 Sweet Baby grunge, Sweet Baby gangster rep, whatever you want to call it, it's here.

00:49:37.260 And in honor of its, uh, continued success, I'm happy to introduce the latest collectible

00:49:41.640 in the Matt Walsh patch program.

00:49:43.780 That is the Sweet Baby Records patch.

00:49:46.260 Uh, it's all the fun of pop culture with none of the Satan worship or demonic imagery.

00:49:51.900 Uh, it's very, it's very classy.

00:49:53.240 Like all the patches, it's a very classy patch as well.

00:49:55.540 These are limited edition, so they will sell out.

00:49:57.440 Don't miss your chance to start or add to your collection and reaffirm your commitment

00:50:01.280 to the SBG by donning these highly coveted patches on your clothes, luggage, skin, basically

00:50:05.860 any location in direct proportion to your level of fealty to the gang.

00:50:10.420 You can head over to my swag shack at dailywire.com slash shop to get yours today.

00:50:13.780 Also, what if I told you that there's one book that has done more for literacy than any

00:50:18.400 other book?

00:50:18.860 It has shaped literature, art, culture, government, and countless lives.

00:50:22.180 I'm, of course, referring to the Bible.

00:50:24.220 Uh, you know who else has had an influence on, uh, this book's had influence on?

00:50:27.620 That, of course, is Jordan Peterson.

00:50:28.700 In addition to his Exodus series, Jordan has a documentary called Logos and Literacy, where

00:50:32.440 he traces the Bible through history to show you the impact it's had on the Western world.

00:50:37.160 It's a really interesting series.

00:50:38.200 Here's the trailer.

00:50:38.640 I was very much struck by how the translation of the biblical writings jump-started the development

00:50:46.680 of literacy across the entire world.

00:50:49.540 Illiteracy was the norm.

00:50:51.460 The pastor's home was the first school, and every morning it would begin with singing.

00:50:57.140 The Christian faith is a singing religion.

00:51:00.200 Probably 80% of scripture memorization today exists only because of what is sung.

00:51:04.100 This is amazing.

00:51:06.060 Here we have a Gutenberg Bible, a Bible printed on the press of Johann Gutenberg.

00:51:12.260 Science and religion are opposing forces in the world, but historically that has not been 0.93

00:51:18.900 the case.

00:51:19.900 Now the book is available to everyone.

00:51:22.000 From Shakespeare to modern education and medicine and science to civilization itself.

00:51:30.300 It is the most influential book in all of history, and hopefully people can walk away with at

00:51:37.060 least a sense of that.

00:51:40.100 Well, this is the part where I would normally tell you that Logos and Literacy is only for

00:51:43.920 Daily Wire Plus members, but we're making it available for free for everyone, and this

00:51:47.800 doesn't happen very often, but you've got to go to dailywireplus.com.

00:51:51.540 It's only for a limited time, so you can watch Logos and Literacy today, anyone can,

00:51:55.820 at dailywireplus.com.

00:51:57.740 Now let's get to our daily cancellation.

00:51:58.760 Today we cancel someone named Hunter Avalone.

00:52:05.840 He's apparently a YouTuber and Twitch streamer with a moderately large following, though I'd

00:52:09.820 never heard of him.

00:52:10.840 It came to my attention thanks to a clip posted at Twitter by Addison Smith of OAN.

00:52:17.700 And what came to my attention is that Hunter posted a lengthy video to his YouTube channel

00:52:21.020 reacting to my testimony in front of the Tennessee House Committee about their now-passed legislation

00:52:25.420 banning child gender transitions.

00:52:26.780 Hunter is apparently a big fan of child castration. 0.97

00:52:30.700 He's a fierce advocate of castrating children.

00:52:34.040 And so, as we'll see, he doesn't like me very much.

00:52:37.580 Here's the clip that was on Twitter.

00:52:39.140 It's very short.

00:52:39.720 Check it out.

00:52:40.040 Wait, giving kids the puberty blockers after they've been confirmed gender dysphoric and 0.76

00:52:52.460 they've consented and their therapists have consented and their doctors have consented

00:52:55.520 and their parents have consented and they've been persistent in gender dysphoria for a minimum

00:52:59.140 of six months.

00:53:00.660 Yeah, that's actually a good thing, Matt.

00:53:03.220 Oh, six whole months, you say?

00:53:05.020 Well, we all know that no child would outgrow a phase after six months.

00:53:09.580 Six months is when it's set in stone.

00:53:12.340 I have never seen my own kids be interested in something or go through a phase that lasts

00:53:18.080 six whole months.

00:53:19.780 I mean, six months, this is their identity now. 0.99

00:53:22.460 Might as well chemically castrate them, right? 0.99

00:53:24.680 What else are we supposed to do? 0.95

00:53:26.360 I mean, we could do exactly what we had already been doing for all of human history up until

00:53:30.280 18 seconds ago.

00:53:31.240 We could just let kids go through their phases, let them grow out of it instead of locking

00:53:35.120 them in place and turning an awkward moment into a lifelong identity crisis.

00:53:38.880 We could do that.

00:53:40.760 But before we get too far in addressing Hunter's points, we should be fair and get the entire

00:53:44.680 context.

00:53:45.020 I had a little bit of a back and forth with him on Twitter yesterday where he fleshed out

00:53:49.320 his argument, such as it is.

00:53:50.500 He explained that children can consent to these, quote, treatments because the parents

00:53:56.280 and doctors also consent.

00:53:57.960 I asked, well, how does the consent of the adults somehow validate the consent of the

00:54:02.460 child?

00:54:02.920 In other words, if a child cannot consent to making permanent life-altering decisions,

00:54:07.160 how does the consent of the adult around the child change that?

00:54:11.500 And he responded that he's only talking about puberty blockers, not the cross-sex hormones

00:54:15.020 or surgeries.

00:54:15.980 In fact, he clarified that hormones and surgeries should wait until the child turns 18, according

00:54:19.460 to it, you know, in his opinion.

00:54:21.880 But puberty blockers are different because they are a life-saving medical intervention,

00:54:26.360 he claimed.

00:54:27.300 He also noted that I am an ape and I should go F myself.

00:54:30.940 Now, when I asked how it could ever be appropriate to chemically castrate a child, which is what

00:54:34.820 the puberty blocker does, he answered this, quote, firstly, too much Tylenol can kill you.

00:54:39.920 They aren't death pills.

00:54:41.060 Puberty blockers can be detrimental if given in large doses, but beneficial when given in proper

00:54:44.720 doses. 0.91

00:54:45.040 Why is this so hard for your chimp brain to grasp? 1.00

00:54:49.080 Medicine can be good. 0.97

00:54:50.380 Too much medicine can be bad.

00:54:52.300 He later insisted again, smaller doses of puberty blockers are not chemical castration.

00:54:56.080 I'm fine with puberty blockers for minors.

00:54:57.860 Surgery and hormones shouldn't be given until, unless 18 years or older. 1.00

00:55:02.120 Go back to being the creepy dude hanging outside the high school, you degenerate scum. 0.99

00:55:07.040 I had to ask about three or four times for any evidence that puberty blockers are life-saving, 1.00

00:55:10.760 as he claimed.

00:55:11.780 And finally, after furiously Googling for whatever random studies he could find, but

00:55:16.460 certainly not read, he responded, quote, sure, I've attached some evidence below.

00:55:21.360 Since you're too retarded to read yourself, firstly, here's a cohort of trans people over 0.99

00:55:25.560 40 plus years showing that no increase of suicide was present after transition. 0.98

00:55:29.640 Although the suicide risk remained higher, this was due to social issues, not transition.

00:55:33.820 Secondly, here's a study which found that puberty suppression and affirmation care was correlated

00:55:38.580 with a 70% decrease in suicidal thoughts. 1.00

00:55:42.120 So again, go F yourself, you pathetic ape man. 1.00

00:55:46.200 Okay, so now everyone's up to speed. 1.00

00:55:49.240 A few points, Hunter.

00:55:50.820 First of all, you appear to be about 13 years old, but as far as I know, you're actually

00:55:54.780 a full-grown man technically, which means that you should understand by now that a weak

00:55:58.540 argument doesn't become strong just by tacking an insult onto the end of it.

00:56:02.660 Actually, that makes your weak argument look even weaker.

00:56:05.720 And it makes you look like a child in the process.

00:56:08.400 And this is a special problem for you since you already look like a child. 0.57

00:56:13.260 And if you are going to go the insult route, you probably don't want to throw terms like 0.82

00:56:17.060 degenerate around. 0.86

00:56:18.180 Remember, you're the one in this conversation passionately defending the right of a doctor

00:56:22.780 to give a child the same drug they use to chemically castrate sex offenders.

00:56:27.140 I'm on the anti-child castration side of the discussion.

00:56:30.760 You're on the pro side.

00:56:32.760 So you're free to stake out that ground if you want, but you are unfortunately precluded

00:56:36.760 from ever calling anyone else a degenerate ever again in your entire life.

00:56:43.260 Second, I'm afraid that I'm not impressed by the ability to Google a study that confirms

00:56:48.820 whatever conclusion you'd already landed on and then fling it at the other side after

00:56:52.160 briefly skimming the abstract.

00:56:53.480 Okay, it's not how you win an argument.

00:56:56.280 You don't just go to Google, studies that confirm what I already believed.

00:56:59.560 Oh, here's one.

00:57:00.380 See?

00:57:02.020 The problem with the study food fight is that two can always play at that game.

00:57:06.120 And in this case, I can play it better.

00:57:08.260 I have, for example, the most thorough study ever conducted on this subject, which spanned

00:57:12.520 30 years and found that suicidality is highest for trans people 10 to 15 years after medical

00:57:19.460 transition.

00:57:20.560 Highest.

00:57:21.000 You, on the other hand, have one study that focuses on people who transitioned as adults,

00:57:25.760 not as children, and which, according to you, found that there was no increase in suicide

00:57:29.940 rate.

00:57:30.240 Not that there was a notable decrease, but that there was no increase.

00:57:33.560 And that the suicide rate was still much higher than the general population.

00:57:36.800 Now, you blithely declare that this higher rate of suicide was due to, quote, social issues,

00:57:42.260 not the transition.

00:57:43.200 Because, what, you somehow know why all these people killed themselves?

00:57:48.700 How do you know that?

00:57:50.480 Well, I mean, well, you made it up, of course.

00:57:52.380 And whatever the reason for the suicides, the fact remains that the rate, the suicide rate,

00:57:58.220 is still very high.

00:57:59.620 And so that would seem to be a pretty good indication that the transition meant to prevent

00:58:06.060 that outcome failed to prevent it.

00:58:09.000 And this is a study you provided to prove your point.

00:58:14.020 You also give another study, which claims these findings, and I'm reading now.

00:58:18.340 Quote, in this perspective cohort of 104 trans and non-binary youths aged 13 to 20 years,

00:58:23.400 receipt of gender-affirming care, including puberty blockers and gender-affirming hormones,

00:58:27.560 was associated with 60% lower odds of moderate or severe depression and 73% lower odds of suicidality.

00:58:34.240 Okay, well, at least this one pretends to actually prove your point, rather than directly refuting

00:58:39.460 it like the other one.

00:58:41.180 But do you know anything else about this study?

00:58:44.860 Like, who funded it?

00:58:46.220 How was it conducted?

00:58:48.000 How did they find their study subjects?

00:58:51.060 How did the researchers guard against things like selection bias?

00:58:55.000 Did they rely entirely on self-reported data?

00:58:58.100 Do you understand how infamously unreliable self-reported data is?

00:59:01.480 How do they quantify suicidal thoughts?

00:59:04.680 A 70% decrease in suicidal thoughts, how do you quantify that to begin with?

00:59:09.560 Of course, you haven't considered any of this, but it doesn't really matter because there's

00:59:12.400 a fatal problem here.

00:59:13.400 Well, there's a lot, but let's just focus on one.

00:59:15.560 And it's the same one shared by nearly every study claiming to prove that gender-affirming

00:59:19.360 care has positive results.

00:59:20.980 The problem is this.

00:59:23.220 And you would know this if you read the thing that you Googled, which next time you should

00:59:26.540 think about doing that.

00:59:27.860 The results are based on a 12-month follow-up.

00:59:31.480 Okay, they report that these kids, 12 months after beginning the transition, say that they

00:59:37.640 feel better.

00:59:39.200 You know what that tells us?

00:59:40.740 You know what it proves?

00:59:42.420 Absolutely nothing.

00:59:44.000 Not one single thing.

00:59:45.760 I am not surprised that kids who have been told that transition will solve their problems

00:59:51.500 would then report shortly afterwards that it has indeed solved their problems.

00:59:55.640 If you gave a 13-year-old a really ugly tattoo, it's pretty certain that he'd still think

01:00:00.840 it was cool when he's 14.

01:00:01.920 And if the 13-year-old gets a tattoo and then at 14 says, I still like this tattoo, it would 0.94

01:00:08.680 be very stupid for you as an adult to say, well, look, see, it turns out getting the tattoo 0.97

01:00:12.980 was a good idea. 1.00

01:00:13.900 He's 14 and he still likes it.

01:00:17.540 See, the question is not how the 13-year-old feels at 14.

01:00:20.560 The question is, how will he feel five years from now, 10 years, 20 years?

01:00:27.020 How does the adult version of the same child feel now that he has to live with the consequences

01:00:33.220 of decisions that he made as a child?

01:00:36.260 Regret is not likely to set in within the first year, though it very well might.

01:00:39.880 Usually it takes longer.

01:00:40.900 And you'll notice that many of these studies, they stop doing the follow-ups with the patients

01:00:44.820 at precisely the moment when the regret might really start setting in.

01:00:51.100 What we need are long-term follow-ups with people who transitioned as children.

01:00:55.000 But as I'm constantly having to explain, there aren't any reliable studies like that because

01:00:59.340 we just started doing this to children on this scale very recently.

01:01:02.240 So these kids are the test case.

01:01:03.880 They are the guinea pigs.

01:01:05.760 But anyway, you never answered my question.

01:01:07.380 I asked for evidence that puberty blockers are life-saving.

01:01:10.840 You shouldn't need a survey to tell me that.

01:01:12.620 It should be a relatively easy thing to quantify.

01:01:14.820 There was no such thing as a puberty blocker until recently.

01:01:17.760 And if these blockers are life-saving medications, then that would mean that billions of children

01:01:22.060 lived at a time historically when the life-saving medication was not available to them.

01:01:27.180 And that would mean that a great many children died because they didn't have access to it.

01:01:33.220 Okay, then give me some examples.

01:01:36.140 Who died due to a lack of access to this life-saving drug?

01:01:40.640 You're saying it's life-saving.

01:01:41.820 That should mean that many, many children have died because they didn't have access to it.

01:01:45.580 So can you give me some examples?

01:01:48.120 How many children died because there were no puberty blockers available?

01:01:53.120 We should be able to see in history this enormous wave of child deaths due to a lack of chemical

01:01:59.220 castration.

01:02:00.200 Do we?

01:02:01.480 I mean, I could quite easily point to deaths that happened because penicillin hadn't been

01:02:04.940 invented yet, for example.

01:02:06.260 So where are the historical deaths that we can pin on a lack of puberty blockers?

01:02:11.560 This is a life-saving drug.

01:02:12.920 Isn't that what you said?

01:02:14.080 Where's the historical evidence?

01:02:15.720 Do you have even a single shred of it?

01:02:18.600 No, of course you don't.

01:02:20.240 Now, it is interesting, though, that you can't bring yourself to endorse cross-sex hormones

01:02:23.840 and surgeries for minors.

01:02:24.980 At first blush, this would seem to make you slightly more reasonable than the other child

01:02:30.420 sexual mutilation advocates.

01:02:32.280 But upon further evaluation, it actually makes your position even more incoherent, if that's

01:02:36.040 possible.

01:02:36.420 After all, the very medical establishment that you trust implicitly when it comes to puberty

01:02:40.600 blockers also says that hormones and surgeries can be life-saving medical interventions for

01:02:45.820 children.

01:02:46.800 So why do you trust them on the blockers but not on the hormones and surgeries?

01:02:50.400 If they're lying, or let's be very generous, catastrophically mistaken, about the latter

01:02:56.960 two, doesn't it stand to reason that the same would apply to the first?

01:03:00.460 Blockers hormone surgeries, they're all part of the same process of medical, quote, affirmation.

01:03:06.720 What you're saying is that you agree with step one, but you think they're wrong about steps

01:03:11.540 two and three.

01:03:13.260 This might not be an insurmountable logical problem for you, except that the only reason

01:03:17.840 you agree with step one is simply because you're taking their word for it.

01:03:21.860 They claim that puberty blockers save lives, and you believe them. 0.97

01:03:26.280 But why don't you believe the rest of the story they tell?

01:03:29.060 And if you don't, then have you considered that your skepticism should be more consistently

01:03:34.620 applied?

01:03:36.920 Third, finally, have you thought about just using your common sense?

01:03:40.820 Has that thought occurred to you?

01:03:43.080 You tried to rely on studies.

01:03:44.580 That blew up in your face.

01:03:45.420 You want to appeal to authority, except that even you can't figure out whether you should

01:03:49.260 trust these authorities or not.

01:03:51.200 You're all kinds of confused.

01:03:52.460 You don't know which way is up, which way is down.

01:03:54.440 Maybe consider applying your own mental faculties to this situation.

01:03:59.600 Here's a very simple question.

01:04:01.660 Does it make sense to you, does it actually make sense, that a young boy might, in some sense,

01:04:08.500 be a girl somehow, necessitating the use of chemical castration drugs to suppress some

01:04:13.820 of the physical effects of male puberty, does that proposition make sense?

01:04:19.260 Does it make sense to take a boy who is male and try to alter him in some way in an effort

01:04:25.880 to make him into, or make it appear as though he has been made into, something he can never

01:04:30.400 be?

01:04:32.000 Does it make sense to medically affirm the boy's confusion, rather than trying to treat and heal

01:04:39.580 the confusion?

01:04:42.460 I think you know that it doesn't.

01:04:44.480 I think you're smart enough to know that it doesn't.

01:04:47.300 At least I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt on that point, a benefit that

01:04:51.200 you perhaps haven't earned.

01:04:54.020 Though you have earned your turn today being, of course, canceled.

01:04:59.080 And that'll do it for this portion of the show as we move over to the members block.

01:05:02.580 Hope to see you there.

01:05:03.400 If not, talk to you tomorrow.

01:05:04.500 Godspeed.
