The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 1147 - Why All Of The Left’s Heroes Are Cosplaying Phonies

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Walsh Show, it seems that every week the left invents a new hero that we're all supposed to worship and admire.

00:00:06.480 But their latest heroes, the so-called Tennessee Three, are performance artists nearly as phony and fraudulent as Dylan Mulvaney.

00:00:13.200 A viral video reveals just how fake these people actually are.

00:00:16.460 Also, the governor of Tennessee pushes for so-called red flag laws.

00:00:19.500 I'll explain why red flag laws are a horrible idea. 0.97

00:00:22.020 And Bud Light takes a $4 billion hit after it endorsed transgenderism. 0.97

00:00:26.180 Plus, a new report suggests that over 60,000 babies will be saved this year because of the overturn of Roe.

00:00:34.140 Yet the left treats this as bad news.

00:00:36.040 Even worse, some on the right seem to agree with them.

00:00:38.940 We'll talk about all that and much more today on the Matt Walsh Show.

00:00:49.160 Are you struggling to find time to incorporate fruits and vegetables into your diet?

00:00:53.620 With busy schedules and on-the-go lifestyles, it's easy to overlook the importance of these nutrient-packed foods.

00:00:59.700 However, eating fruits and vegetables is crucial for maintaining good health and well-being, even when life gets hectic.

00:01:05.580 And that's why I'm a huge fan of Balance of Nature.

00:01:51.540 As we've seen, the left is very good at creating heroes.

00:01:55.500 And that's not to say that leftism as an ideology drives people to engage in heroic acts or inspires them towards heroic virtue.

00:02:03.320 Obviously, that's not the case.

00:02:04.600 Quite the opposite.

00:02:06.580 Rather, they're adept at inventing heroes, making them, fabricating them out of whole cloth.

00:02:11.500 They can simply assign somebody the role of hero, put them on a platform, and instruct the rest of us to praise and admire them.

00:02:19.560 You know, every society needs its heroes, its champions, its martyrs.

00:02:22.980 But our traditional heroes in our culture have all been torn down, literally in many cases, as statues and monuments have been toppled.

00:02:30.740 And now they're replaced by these new constructions.

00:02:33.600 And the trouble with our new heroes, the ones that the left constructs for us, is that they are shallow, contrived, empty, and usually morally repulsive.

00:02:43.780 So one relevant example from this week, Megan Rapinoe, speaking of repulsive, female soccer player, has long been elevated to the position of hero. 1.00

00:02:52.740 She's courageous because when she's not being beaten on the field by high school boys, she's busy fighting for women's rights, or so we're told.

00:03:01.260 She's a big proponent of equal pay. 1.00

00:03:03.720 You know, she spent many years raising awareness about the plight of underpaid female soccer players.

00:03:08.500 Rapinoe herself is wealthy, but she could be a little more wealthy if only she was paid the same as male soccer stars. 1.00

00:03:14.960 Now, granted, male soccer stars make more money because they bring in more money because the public is just more interested in, you know, seeing men play soccer and male sports in general because they're more fun to watch because the athletes are better.

00:03:28.480 But this argument was not acceptable to Rapinoe, who insisted that her pay as a soccer player should be not at all tied to her financial worth as a soccer player.

00:03:36.460 And eventually that argument won out and the men's and women's U.S. national team signed an agreement that agreed that there would be equal pay, which really just means that the men's team will have to be essentially the sugar daddies for the women's team subsidizing and keeping this equal pay scheme afloat because that's what female empowerment is all about, apparently. 0.96

00:03:57.500 But, of course, the real threat facing women's sports is not that athletes are underpaid. 0.79

00:04:02.000 It's that if the left has its way, women's sports will effectively cease to exist as a category in the first place. 0.99

00:04:07.080 You're not going to make any money as a female athlete because there won't be female sports. 1.00

00:04:10.980 And this is where the actual heroes are needed to speak up and stand against the intrusion of males into women's sports. 1.00

00:04:20.180 Yet, faced with this actual threat to women's sports and the rights of women generally, the heroic Rapinoe surrendered immediately without even pretending to put up a fight, just like most other athletes did.

00:04:33.580 This week, Rapinoe joined a number of other professional athletes in signing a letter condemning legislation that's been proposed by Republicans in Congress that would ban males from competing in female sports.

00:04:43.860 Sports Illustrated reports, quote, a group of 40 professional Olympic and Paralympic athletes signed a letter regarding recent anti-trans sports bans sent to the House of Representative Legislative Directors on Monday.

00:04:56.000 The athletes include Megan Rapinoe, recently retired WNBA star Sue Bird, and US WNT star Becky Sauerbrunn.

00:05:05.100 The remaining athletes who signed the letter, organized by the LGBTQ advocacy group Athlete Ally, compete in various sports such as soccer, hockey, and rugby.

00:05:15.520 The letter calls out the Republican-led Protection of Girls and Women in Sports Act, H.R. 734, which would ban transgender intersex girls and women from competing in sports across the country.

00:05:25.440 If the bill passes, it would become part of the Title IX legislation.

00:05:29.580 In explaining her stance, Rapinoe tweeted, quote,

00:05:31.660 Today, politicians at D.C. are claiming to protect women's sports by pushing a trans and intersex sports ban.

00:05:37.180 Call your congressional rep today to say women's sports needs protection from unequal pay, sexual abuse, and lack of resources, not from trans kids. 0.97

00:05:46.260 Now, needless to say, the claims made here are total nonsense.

00:05:49.260 There are no bills that would ban trans-identified people from competing in sports.

00:05:53.620 There are certainly no bills that would ban intersex people, people with genital defects from competing in sports.

00:05:58.860 Not one piece of proposed federal legislation, not one bill passed or proposed in any state,

00:06:05.440 has ever had any language that would prohibit anyone from competing in sports based on their so-called, quote, unquote, gender identity.

00:06:13.360 I wouldn't support such legislation if it was introduced, although it never would be,

00:06:18.020 because I don't see any particular reason why a man who sees himself as a woman should be prevented from playing football or basketball or running on the track team or whatever if he wants.

00:06:25.780 But his, quote, unquote, gender identity should not be some kind of special token that he can use to gain access to whatever team he prefers.

00:06:33.220 Males should compete against males, females against females. 1.00

00:06:36.140 And that's what these bills guarantee.

00:06:38.980 Trans-identified people can still compete, but they have to compete against their own sex, same as everyone else. 0.90

00:06:45.880 That's what equal under the law actually means.

00:06:48.640 Megan Rapinoe, the supposed champion of women's sports, opposes this policy, which means that she supports the erosion and eventual demise of women's sports entirely. 0.94

00:07:00.460 And that's not because she actually believes that male athletes who identify as women really are women and should be allowed on women's sports.

00:07:07.980 She doesn't really believe that.

00:07:08.920 She doesn't think that.

00:07:09.600 She almost certainly doesn't believe it, because almost nobody born before the year, say, 2005, sincerely believes that trans ideology is true. 1.00

00:07:19.000 Few of us were brainwashed early enough to actually believe it.

00:07:23.620 If you want to get someone to believe something that insane, you have to get to them when they're very young,

00:07:27.860 which is why the left is so focused on getting to the kids when they're very young with this stuff.

00:07:31.800 But Rapinoe, like every other leftist, goes along with it because she thinks that it helps further her overall ideological agenda,

00:07:40.280 and also because she lacks the courage it would require to take a stand in this case.

00:07:45.080 It would legitimately be heroic for somebody in her position to defend common sense and reality in this case.

00:07:53.540 It shouldn't require heroism, but it would, because she'd be ripped apart for it, excoriated.

00:07:57.640 It should lose all of her friends and clout and media praise, and she's not going to be invited on late-night shows.

00:08:03.440 She's not going to be on any red carpets anymore. 0.99

00:08:06.600 It takes heroism to make that kind of sacrifice.

00:08:09.620 And if there's one thing that this hero lacks, it's heroism.

00:08:13.080 But there are other fake leftist heroes in the news this week.

00:08:15.140 In fact, just in the last couple of weeks, we've watched as three new ones have been invented in real time, so very efficiently.

00:08:22.900 The quote-unquote Tennessee Three, as the media has dubbed them, have been celebrated, basically deified,

00:08:30.360 after getting kicked out of the Tennessee State House for staging an insurrection in the Capitol building.

00:08:36.680 On Monday, one of them, Justin Jones, was sworn back in after the Nashville Metropolitan Council did an end run around Republicans in the legislature

00:08:45.660 by voting to reinstate him as now an interim representative for the 52nd District.

00:08:52.480 So he's back in the House, which means that, by the way, Republicans now have no choice, really,

00:08:59.220 but to pass a law banning anyone who's expelled from the House from serving again in state government.

00:09:06.520 They could pass that law, and they need to, and then once it's passed, expel him again.

00:09:11.440 They have to play hardball here, or else take the loss.

00:09:14.980 And taking the loss can never be an option.

00:09:17.700 It would be a big, it's a big, you're taking a big loss if you take it here.

00:09:21.580 Because then you will have, you will have given this guy all this attention, turn him into a martyr,

00:09:27.420 only to have him back in the legislature anyway at the end of it.

00:09:33.000 Can't allow that. Can't allow it.

00:09:35.520 But even if, but even if they're both reinstated, one of them was never expelled to begin with,

00:09:40.100 that's not going to change their status as heroes and martyrs as far as the left is concerned.

00:09:43.880 Once the left has deemed you as such, as a hero and a martyr, you cannot lose that title,

00:09:50.180 except by taking a position they disagree with.

00:09:54.660 And there's little chance of that happening with this crew.

00:09:57.560 One of the Tennessee Three, former Representative Justin Pearson,

00:10:01.720 has especially embraced his newfound fake hero status.

00:10:06.100 In fact, Pearson has reinvented himself totally in both look and speech as some sort of 1960s era civil rights figure.

00:10:17.140 That is a civil rights figure from the 1960s who happens to speak the gibberish of 21st century leftism.

00:10:25.400 So for example, here is Pearson just last week delivering a sermon at a Memphis Unitarian Universalist church.

00:10:31.940 And in case you aren't familiar, maybe you don't know all the denominations of Christianity,

00:10:36.180 what you should know about Unitarian Universalist is that it is not a denomination of Christianity.

00:10:40.280 It's just a fancy way of saying Satanist, as you can clearly see in this clip.

00:10:45.760 Watch.

00:10:46.980 Well, y'all, I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord.

00:10:53.280 I'm so glad to be in the house of the Lord with you this morning.

00:10:57.700 Would you mind going ahead and praying with me now, Mother God, Creator God, Loving God, Holy God,

00:11:03.880 take this your servant made from dust and connected with the roma tears of stardust to speak in this moment,

00:11:09.900 to say something that brings forward the word you've placed into my heart.

00:11:13.180 I accept my unworthiness for such a task as bold as this,

00:11:17.060 and I seek your guidance as you use me and speak through me.

00:11:20.640 To the ancestor preachers who made sermons from hymns, moans, and groans,

00:11:25.820 and spirituals from the bondage of slavery, speak now through this your descendant.

00:11:32.200 Now, it's very interesting because he begins by trying to speak, you know,

00:11:36.080 like a biblical prophet in King James Version of the Old Testament.

00:11:39.480 But then he quickly transitions from biblical prophet to a middle-aged white woman reading tarot cards,

00:11:45.280 babbling about Mother God and saying something about how we're all connected by the raw material of stardust.

00:11:52.460 Essentially, it's like if a yoga instructor from San Francisco went back in time to the year 85 BC,

00:11:59.720 this is what he would sound like.

00:12:02.260 It's bizarre, and it's unintentionally hilarious, but we do have to cut Pearson some slack here.

00:12:07.540 After all, he just invented this persona recently.

00:12:10.940 He's still working out the kinks. 0.99

00:12:12.060 He hasn't learned all the lines yet, and it's not fair for any actor to just expect them to drop them into a role,

00:12:19.720 and they're going to nail it on the first try.

00:12:21.860 It takes some practice, and he's still practicing.

00:12:24.280 And we know that this is a recent persona for him because there's a video comparison that maybe you've seen.

00:12:29.620 If you haven't, I'll show it to you.

00:12:30.840 It's been making the rounds on social media.

00:12:32.300 I don't know who first put this together, but it's brilliant because it just shows you

00:12:38.240 and illustrates how fraudulent these people are.

00:12:43.640 So we see in the video Justin Pearson of 2016 when he was a young, eager college student,

00:12:49.840 and then we can compare him to Justin Pearson of last week.

00:12:54.760 And here's what that comparison sounds like.

00:12:57.220 Justin Pearson, and I'm running for president of BSG.

00:13:01.760 There are a few reasons that we're running this campaign this year.

00:13:04.480 One has to do with representation.

00:13:06.340 How can we represent all voices in a conversation?

00:13:10.000 I want to do this by partnering with organizations from the Putin Democrats to the Putin Republicans. 0.50

00:13:15.400 I want to bring together different voices, dissenting voices, voices that may be more liberal or more conservative,

00:13:21.080 in order that we can reach a point of sort of the radical middle.

00:13:24.300 It seemed like the NRA and gun lobbyists might win, but oh, that was good news for us.

00:13:31.840 I don't know how long this Saturday in the state of Tennessee might last, but oh, we have good news, folks.

00:13:39.660 We've got good news that Sunday always comes.

00:13:43.480 You know, he doesn't really sound like a 1960s civil rights figure, which is what he's trying to sound like and look like.

00:13:57.280 He sounds like he's doing a parody of one.

00:14:00.440 You know, this is the worst case of blackface that we've seen since Justin Trudeau, 1.00

00:14:05.300 except that Pearson's actually black, and he's still doing blackface.

00:14:08.180 Nevertheless, he is performing, and we know he's performing because now we know what he sounded like before the performance started.

00:14:16.800 It's not at all a convincing performance, of course.

00:14:19.740 In fact, I didn't think I'd see a performance less convincing than Dylan Mulvaney's portrayal of womanhood until Pearson came along.

00:14:27.580 Pearson's really given him a run for his money.

00:14:28.920 This is what the left promotes and encourages.

00:14:32.560 Empty performance taken to comical, almost surreal extremes.

00:14:39.020 You know, they give us heroes and leaders who are cartoons, who are hollow and paper thin, 0.52

00:14:46.120 who are, it always turns out, conniving cowards, gutless frauds, and self-aggrandizing performance artists. 0.84

00:14:52.960 That's what all these people are. 0.97

00:14:55.260 And yet we're meant to applaud these people.

00:14:57.460 But the only appropriate response is to laugh in their faces and dismiss everything they say.

00:15:05.200 Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:15:12.480 Pure Talk is the antidote to woke wireless companies.

00:15:15.840 It's proudly veteran-owned, employs a U.S.-based customer service team,

00:15:19.360 and absolutely refuses to spend money on fake news networks.

00:15:22.120 Here's a look at what a future without Pure Talk would look like for you.

00:15:25.660 For those of you who can't see what's playing out on the screen right now,

00:15:28.960 I am currently texting with my producer, Sean, on a phone that's serviced by one of the big three wireless networks.

00:15:34.580 Sean says,

00:15:35.400 Have you seen the post about the left trying to cancel you again?

00:15:37.940 To which I reply in this very real conversation,

00:15:40.380 They're always trying to silence me, and it's never going to work.

00:15:42.540 Because that's the kind of thing that I would say in a text message, you know, in real life.

00:15:46.000 I would text that to someone.

00:15:47.260 When are people going to accept that men are men and women are women? 0.81

00:15:49.700 Only Autocorrect changes men to M-X-N and women to W-O-M-X-N, if you can believe it. 0.83

00:15:56.100 This is what you get with woke wireless, uninvited lessons in political correctness.

00:16:00.300 If there's anyone I trust to not only give me the best service for my money,

00:16:03.720 but also not try to force their politics on me, it's Pure Talk.

00:16:07.200 No contracts, no hassle, and they respect their politics.

00:16:10.380 Right now, you can get unlimited talk, text, and plenty of 5G data for just $30 a month.

00:16:14.580 Keep your phone, keep your number, or choose from the latest iPhones and Androids.

00:16:22.440 That's puretalk.com, promo code WALSH.

00:16:24.380 Pure Talk is simply smarter wireless.

00:16:26.680 Report from the Daily Wire.

00:16:27.640 Governor Bill Lee called for Tennessee's Republican majority legislature to pass a red flag law Tuesday

00:16:33.460 after signing an executive order strengthening the state's background checks on firearm buyers.

00:16:38.120 The new push comes two weeks after three children and three adults were murdered at the Covenant School in Nashville

00:16:41.780 when a trans-identifying shooter made her way into the Christian school and gunned down students and staff.

00:16:46.920 Lee told the Tennessean that he's asking the General Assembly to bring forward an order of protection law,

00:16:53.080 also known as a red flag law, which would enable the government to take firearms away

00:16:56.360 from those who are found to be at risk to themselves or others.

00:17:00.160 The governor said, quote,

00:17:00.920 A new strong order of protection law will provide the broader population cover safety

00:17:04.680 from those who are a danger to themselves or the population. 0.84

00:17:08.660 This is our moment to lead and to give the people of Tennessee what they deserve.

00:17:11.400 Lee's executive order creates a 72-hour period for any new criminal activity

00:17:16.640 and court mental health information to be reported on the Tennessee Instant Check System,

00:17:21.480 the background check system used by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

00:17:24.220 Under the order, the TBI is required to tell Lee's office and the General Assembly within two months

00:17:29.000 of any barriers to complete accurate and timely reporting of information that is accessible to the TICS.

00:17:35.240 Red flag laws, which are on the books in 19 states, including Republican-led states like Indiana and Florida,

00:17:41.880 specifically target those deemed to have mental health issues

00:17:44.180 and allow a state court to issue an order for law enforcement to confiscate weapons

00:17:47.700 from those ruled to be at risk.

00:17:50.280 The 28-year-old Covenant school shooter who stockpiled seven firearms

00:17:53.780 was receiving treatment for an emotional disorder,

00:17:57.180 according to Nashville police, and her parents did not want her to own guns, but she did.

00:18:01.480 Opponents of red flag laws say that they pose a threat to Second Amendment rights and due process

00:18:05.200 and do not prevent criminal acts.

00:18:08.540 Yeah, well, count me among the opponents very much so.

00:18:12.560 I don't like red flag laws at all.

00:18:15.000 I understand the idea behind them.

00:18:17.040 I understand the logic. 0.84

00:18:18.720 You know, the logic is, well, you've got crazy people with guns. 0.60

00:18:21.600 You've got to take their guns away.

00:18:22.900 But I think it's bad logic for a few reasons.

00:18:26.640 The first is it's the constitutional issue,

00:18:29.200 the constitutional rights that are at stake here.

00:18:31.660 And it's not first the Second Amendment that goes because of red flag laws.

00:18:37.700 It's due process.

00:18:40.020 It's our constitutional right to due process that goes out the window with red flag laws. 0.98

00:18:44.220 And then the Second Amendment is next.

00:18:46.960 So both of them are put in jeopardy in a big way.

00:18:51.080 Because according to the rights we're guaranteed in the Constitution,

00:18:54.280 you can't deprive somebody of their rights,

00:18:58.420 you can't deprive them of their property without due process of law.

00:19:04.500 And so, yes, if somebody's convicted of a violent crime,

00:19:09.240 then you say, well, they should be in prison,

00:19:10.800 so of course they're not going to have any guns.

00:19:11.980 So if there's someone who's done something which would warrant that,

00:19:19.540 then you charge and convict them of it.

00:19:23.960 That's what the law is supposed to be.

00:19:29.060 Yeah, almost all of our rights can be taken away.

00:19:34.600 That's like when you go to prison,

00:19:36.620 almost every right that you have has now been at the very least constricted to a great degree

00:19:44.280 because you've committed a crime

00:19:46.660 and you've proven yourself to be a member of society

00:19:51.480 that we can't trust to be out in society,

00:19:53.360 and so we've got to put you in a cage. 0.59

00:19:55.420 And so that means a lot of the rights that the rest of us enjoy,

00:19:57.860 you're not going to enjoy.

00:19:58.700 One of them, obviously, is the Second Amendment.

00:20:00.320 You're not going to bring a gun into prison.

00:20:01.680 But you have to actually convict somebody of the crime first.

00:20:05.660 And the reason why this is so important is just due process in general is very important.

00:20:11.180 It's one of the most essential legal rights that we have.

00:20:15.040 But also, I don't trust the system to decide who is mentally fit to carry firearms.

00:20:23.480 I don't trust them to decide that.

00:20:27.140 We're leaving it up to the system to say,

00:20:29.320 well, yeah, this person hasn't committed a crime yet.

00:20:32.380 So now it's like a minority report, you know, pre-crime thing.

00:20:35.980 Hasn't committed a crime yet,

00:20:37.500 but we think based on their, based on certain mental red flags, psychiatric red flags,

00:20:42.520 we think that they will.

00:20:45.700 Well, that, to support something like that,

00:20:48.720 displays an awful lot of trust in the system.

00:20:52.920 Trust their judgment.

00:20:55.100 Trust that they're not ever going to abuse this power.

00:20:57.520 You know, trust that we're, that, that there's going to be somehow wide agreement

00:21:01.860 about what constitutes, you know, a, a psychiatric red flag.

00:21:09.580 And I don't trust that at all.

00:21:11.820 I mean, they've already, look, they've already set the stage.

00:21:14.380 They, they will tell you outright.

00:21:18.380 Okay.

00:21:18.520 The left will tell you outright that if you oppose them on really anything, but in particular,

00:21:23.320 if you oppose them on quote unquote, trans rights, uh, or anything, you know, anything

00:21:28.340 having to do with LGBT, if you oppose that, then, um, you're, you're wrong. 0.59

00:21:33.480 You're genocidal. 0.98

00:21:35.380 You're violent.

00:21:36.260 Like these are violent just to have that point of view is an act of violence to quote unquote,

00:21:42.460 misgender someone as an act of violence. 0.95

00:21:46.620 So that's what they consider the red flags to be.

00:21:48.800 It, it, it's, it's not going to be long before some judge somewhere says, well, this person's

00:21:56.420 a transphobe and that's, uh, in effect, a mental illness and they're already engaging

00:22:02.200 in violence and there's very good chance that they're going to, you know, go out and try 1.00

00:22:06.420 to kill trans people. 1.00

00:22:07.600 And we know that based on the fact that they're misgendering all the time, we got to take their 1.00

00:22:11.100 guns away.

00:22:11.420 It's, it will not be long until something like that happens.

00:22:16.580 Um, and actually, if you, again, if you ask the left, I bet you, they'll, they'll tell

00:22:21.820 you that out, you know, ask any, ask, ask any leftist, what do you think?

00:22:24.940 Do you think transphobes should be allowed to have second amendment rights? 1.00

00:22:28.300 Almost every single one of them would say, of course not.

00:22:32.620 And then also this is happening in the context of a, of a society where we've got this psychiatric

00:22:37.780 industry that's turning everything into a mental illness. 0.58

00:22:42.020 That's we're seeing that happen right now.

00:22:45.400 Everything is being turned.

00:22:46.600 The diagnostic statistical manual mental disorders expands with each new addition and they're

00:22:52.160 constantly finding, you know, labeling new aspects of the human condition as mental illnesses.

00:22:58.500 And already pretty much any emotion, thought, behavior could be a symptom of a mental illness.

00:23:09.680 Anyone, I mean, literally anyone can be diagnosed with a mental illness.

00:23:15.960 You know, anyone can go there.

00:23:17.420 There's, there's not anyone alive who, uh, who would not be labeled mentally ill in about

00:23:23.720 seven different ways, according to the DSM as it stands right now.

00:23:28.500 So are we comfortable with that as they, as they, uh, catalog the entire human condition

00:23:35.280 as, uh, as you know, nothing but a series of mental illness symptoms.

00:23:39.180 Are we, are we comfortable saying that also, if you have a mental illness, they can take

00:23:44.960 your guns away?

00:23:46.200 I'm certainly not.

00:23:48.020 Another report from the, from, uh, the daily wire and more bad news, unfortunately in Tennessee

00:23:52.140 says well over a hundred Tennessee residents flooded the city of Franklin, uh, late Tuesday

00:23:56.360 afternoon ahead of a city board meeting over approval of a gay pride festival in a vote of

00:24:01.640 five to four.

00:24:02.780 The Franklin city board voted to allow a pride festival to proceed after a marathon board

00:24:07.700 meeting that lasted nearly five hours.

00:24:09.320 The board was split with a vote of four to four, but Franklin mayor Ken Moore cast the

00:24:13.800 deciding vote.

00:24:14.340 Even after acknowledging that the event last year was not family friendly, his decision

00:24:18.620 was met with cheers from outside the boardroom, uh, for the past two years, Franklin, a city

00:24:23.020 just south of Nashville has posted a pride, hosted a pride festival, which residents and

00:24:26.880 city board members say has exposed children to inappropriate drag performances and other

00:24:31.120 indecencies.

00:24:32.280 One drag queen president, the 2022 festival went by the name Blair, um, which is when it 0.98

00:24:39.280 comes to drag queens and the names that they choose themselves, that's, that's on the tamer 1.00

00:24:42.520 end of the spectrum because very often they choose names that are, that are very sexually

00:24:46.500 explicit because the whole thing is supposed to be sexual.

00:24:49.980 Um, dozens of people crammed into a small hearing room with a good number of individuals

00:24:54.980 wearing stickers that read protect all children while others wore rainbow themed shirts.

00:24:59.500 Um, and there were people speaking on both sides of it.

00:25:04.220 Um, one student from Spring Hill who said that she identified as transgender claimed that

00:25:09.900 transit FI people were being hunted on a national level.

00:25:12.740 So a lot of that sort of thing.

00:25:14.120 And that argument won out.

00:25:15.380 You know, we keep hearing from the LGBT left that, um, banning, banning them from sexualizing 1.00

00:25:23.900 children, banning them from prancing around half naked in front of children is the same

00:25:28.240 as banning their very existence.

00:25:30.020 And that's what they're keep, that's what they keep telling us.

00:25:32.620 You pass laws that say you can't, you can't do this in front of children.

00:25:36.340 You can't, you know, expose children to this kind of inappropriate content.

00:25:39.480 And if you do that, we're told we're banning them.

00:25:42.880 We're trying to erase them as LGBT people. 1.00

00:25:45.620 And I'm just wondering at what point do we simply believe these people?

00:25:51.320 I mean, at what point do we take their word for it?

00:25:54.000 Take them at their word.

00:25:55.900 They are the ones telling us that if you pass a law prohibiting children from being involved

00:26:01.800 in sexually explicit activities, that it will be a burden on them, because according to

00:26:06.840 them, apparently, sexualizing children is a big, you know, is a big part of being an 0.58

00:26:11.900 LGBT activist.

00:26:13.380 That's what they are saying.

00:26:15.620 And if they didn't believe that about themselves, then they would simply say, you know, they

00:26:20.360 would simply say, oh, we can't have drag shows for kids. 1.00

00:26:23.380 We can't, we can't have kids sit and watch male cabaret performers or female. 1.00

00:26:27.420 You know, we can't have kids go up and give them money like they're at a strip club. 1.00

00:26:30.580 We can't invite children to gay clubs. 1.00

00:26:33.100 Okay, no problem.

00:26:34.720 Obviously, we don't want to do that.

00:26:36.500 Okay, no, no issue.

00:26:38.120 I mean, we're offended that you think you even need a law like that.

00:26:42.760 They could say that.

00:26:44.860 That's what they could say.

00:26:47.460 But they don't.

00:26:49.020 Instead, they say, what?

00:26:50.320 We can't dance half naked in front of kids?

00:26:52.840 Well, that means we can't have any gay pride celebrations at all.

00:26:55.780 It's such a big part of what we do.

00:26:58.540 Well, okay, guys.

00:27:00.580 If that's what it means, if you're saying that's what it means, then that's what it means.

00:27:04.780 But it is you saying that.

00:27:07.260 Maybe you should stop and think about that.

00:27:09.680 You know, because all the law here in Tennessee and other places that have passed similar laws,

00:27:14.860 none of them single out LGBT.

00:27:19.100 They don't even single out drag, specifically.

00:27:22.060 They just say, look, you can't, sexual content, sexual activities in front of kids, not appropriate.

00:27:27.620 You can't do that.

00:27:29.040 It's wrong.

00:27:31.480 You know, and that applies to everyone.

00:27:32.700 But everybody else, have you noticed this if you're LGBT activists?

00:27:35.340 Have you noticed that everyone else in society, when we hear this and there are rules and laws passed,

00:27:40.920 all the rest of us are like, yeah, fine.

00:27:42.800 Of course.

00:27:43.180 That's not, you're not cramping our style at all with laws like that.

00:27:51.080 We have no interest in engaging in that activity.

00:27:53.600 You are the ones who recoil in horror at the thought that children can't be sexualized.

00:28:00.540 So, you know, maybe you should think about that.

00:28:04.880 Now, of course, in Franklin, they can still go forward with these kinds of activities because of the cowardice of the city board,

00:28:12.000 which is the story there.

00:28:13.940 Here's another episode of Headline vs. Reality.

00:28:17.100 Here's the headline.

00:28:17.620 And this is a headline from, let's see, this is a headline from Forbes, I think.

00:28:28.760 Idaho becomes the first state to restrict interstate travel for abortion.

00:28:33.580 Now, you've probably seen headlines like this circulating.

00:28:36.300 Every news organization has a version of this story about Idaho,

00:28:40.740 that Idaho is preventing people from leaving the state for abortions.

00:28:44.600 But here's the reality, though.

00:28:47.360 And you'll see the reality.

00:28:48.220 If you actually click on the link to any of these articles and you read the article,

00:28:51.200 then they will tell you the rest of the story.

00:28:54.000 But they know that most people don't read the articles.

00:28:57.080 Most people don't click on the links.

00:28:58.020 All they see is the headlines.

00:28:59.360 So if you, you know, you can effectively bury something just by,

00:29:03.820 you can bury it and report it at the same time.

00:29:06.740 And these news organizations know that.

00:29:10.220 Because they can put something in the article and then say,

00:29:12.200 well, what do you mean?

00:29:12.460 We didn't bury it.

00:29:12.940 We put it right there.

00:29:13.540 Yeah, but you knew that no one's going to read it.

00:29:15.660 So you made a misleading headline that has the rest of it in the story,

00:29:19.280 but no one reads the rest of the story.

00:29:20.120 Well, if you read the rest of the story, here's what it says.

00:29:24.340 Idaho's governor signed a law this week

00:29:25.980 making it illegal for an adult to transport a minor to get an abortion

00:29:30.140 without their parents' consent,

00:29:32.620 making Idaho the first state to limit interstate travel for abortion.

00:29:36.500 Oh, okay.

00:29:37.580 So it's illegal to bring a child across state lines for an abortion without their parents' consent.

00:29:46.980 So, in other words, you cannot secretly traffic a child to an out-of-state abortion clinic

00:29:54.280 without even telling the parents.

00:29:56.780 You can't do that.

00:29:57.640 Who could possibly oppose a law like that?

00:30:03.020 Well, I know people who are demonic,

00:30:06.560 which unfortunately describes essentially one half of the political ideological spectrum at this point.

00:30:13.820 But you would have to be demonic to oppose something like that.

00:30:19.940 Because what's the other?

00:30:21.120 So you actually think,

00:30:22.180 so you think that it should be legal for some adult to take a child

00:30:28.120 without telling their parents to another state for an abortion,

00:30:35.120 which even you would call, if you're a pro-abortion,

00:30:37.980 you'd call abortion a medical procedure, which it isn't,

00:30:40.000 because medical procedures, by definition, are meant to treat and heal, cure.

00:30:44.600 You know, that's what medical procedures do.

00:30:46.340 They treat illnesses and diseases and injuries.

00:30:49.440 Well, pregnancy is not an illness, a disease, or an injury.

00:30:54.300 So it's not a medical treatment.

00:30:55.520 But let's just go with that fantasy world for a second,

00:30:58.220 where it's a medical treatment.

00:31:00.560 Would that even be appropriate?

00:31:04.440 An adult, so this is not your child,

00:31:07.040 you're bringing someone else's child to another state 0.77

00:31:09.180 for a quote-unquote medical treatment without telling the parents.

00:31:13.480 I mean, I can't think of a scenario where it would be appropriate

00:31:16.020 for an adult to bring a child across state lines

00:31:18.800 without the parent's consent for anything.

00:31:21.740 I don't care what you're doing.

00:31:22.760 I don't care if you're going to,

00:31:23.940 you're taking them across state lines to go to Arby's.

00:31:26.660 Like, there's no scenario where that would be okay

00:31:29.560 if the parents don't know about it.

00:31:32.220 Or have, or in fact, have said no.

00:31:34.340 Even if the parents said,

00:31:36.980 no, you can't bring my kid to Arby's.

00:31:39.140 And, you know, you can't drive down to Minnesota

00:31:42.100 to go to Arby's.

00:31:44.300 Well, to go anyway, that's like kidnapping.

00:31:47.160 And that's if you're just going to Arby's.

00:31:48.620 But in this case, we're not talking about that, are we?

00:31:50.180 So this is something that even if you supported

00:31:57.140 the murder of children,

00:32:00.460 you should still support a law like this.

00:32:04.200 Because to not support it is to say that it's okay

00:32:06.860 for adults to bring kids who are not their kids

00:32:09.640 to other states without,

00:32:12.140 while the parents either don't know

00:32:13.660 or are actively objecting to it.

00:32:17.080 Staying on this topic for just a second,

00:32:18.240 Bloomberg has this report.

00:32:20.640 In the six months since the U.S. Supreme Court

00:32:22.240 overturned Roe v. Wade,

00:32:23.200 there were 5,377 fewer abortions on average per month,

00:32:27.160 according to a new report.

00:32:28.400 The average number of terminations

00:32:29.660 from July through December was 77,000,

00:32:32.800 7% drop from the average in April and May,

00:32:35.200 according to a Tuesday report

00:32:37.020 from the Society of Family Planning.

00:32:39.900 So that works out to about over 60,000 babies

00:32:44.560 that were saved.

00:32:45.860 You know, that's over 60,000 babies

00:32:47.760 who are going to be born rather than killed.

00:32:50.100 And like we talked about a minute ago,

00:32:53.200 you know, needing to look at yourself in the mirror

00:32:54.760 and think about your own positions

00:32:56.220 and what kind of person you've become.

00:32:58.420 Well, this is another occasion for that.

00:33:00.000 Because if you hear that 60,000 babies

00:33:03.860 were not killed and are going to be born instead,

00:33:06.760 and you're sad about that,

00:33:09.300 you know, if what I just read to you,

00:33:10.500 if that to you is a sad headline,

00:33:13.460 then that should tell you something

00:33:16.480 very troubling about yourself

00:33:18.360 and the state of your own soul.

00:33:21.180 And this should also show us,

00:33:22.500 people on the right too,

00:33:23.680 because, you know,

00:33:24.360 there have been conservatives

00:33:25.380 that have lamented,

00:33:27.800 have lamented really that Roe was overturned

00:33:33.340 and that these laws are being passed in states

00:33:35.500 because they think that it hurts Republicans,

00:33:37.700 you know,

00:33:38.620 at the ballot box.

00:33:40.660 They think it hurts them politically.

00:33:42.220 They think it hurts on an electoral level.

00:33:45.420 And I'm not fully convinced by that,

00:33:47.220 first of all.

00:33:48.500 That's a separate discussion.

00:33:50.680 We don't even need to talk about that

00:33:52.320 because let's just say,

00:33:53.880 for the sake of argument,

00:33:54.820 let's agree

00:33:55.280 that there is an electoral price

00:33:57.800 that's being paid because of this.

00:34:01.860 As all of the baby murder enthusiasts 0.97

00:34:03.880 are just driven insane

00:34:07.560 in their satanic rage

00:34:08.680 and they're driven to go to the polls

00:34:10.840 and vote against Republicans

00:34:12.860 who want to save babies.

00:34:14.020 So let's just say that's the case.

00:34:15.760 Is it not worth the price?

00:34:17.800 Do we even have to talk about this?

00:34:21.800 Saving already 60,000 babies,

00:34:24.160 is that not worth it?

00:34:28.240 If we're saying it's not worth it,

00:34:29.400 then what the hell are we doing?

00:34:31.080 I thought this is the end goal.

00:34:32.220 Is the end goal simply political power

00:34:35.140 for its own sake,

00:34:36.660 just to have it?

00:34:38.780 The whole point of political power

00:34:40.080 is to do something with it.

00:34:42.940 Okay, I'm not impressed.

00:34:44.140 It doesn't make me sleep easy at night

00:34:46.400 just to know that there are Republicans in power.

00:34:49.200 Well, these people with ours

00:34:50.200 next to their name are in power.

00:34:51.300 I don't care about that.

00:34:52.940 I want them to use the power.

00:34:55.260 The only reason I want Republicans in power

00:34:56.860 is on the faint hope

00:34:59.840 that they'll do something with it.

00:35:02.220 But you have conservatives

00:35:04.700 who apparently their position is,

00:35:06.760 we can't have Republicans do anything

00:35:09.420 to enact their agenda

00:35:10.740 because then that means

00:35:11.900 they won't be elected.

00:35:14.220 And we really want them to get elected,

00:35:16.180 but we don't want them

00:35:17.480 to do anything when they are.

00:35:19.560 Well, then what the hell is the point?

00:35:22.320 This, to me, 0.95

00:35:23.760 call me crazy,

00:35:24.600 but saving 60,000 babies in a year,

00:35:26.760 yeah, that's worth

00:35:27.560 taking a dip in the polls,

00:35:29.220 I would say.

00:35:31.620 All right.

00:35:33.240 A couple other things.

00:35:35.380 So I want to mention this.

00:35:36.700 We've had some bad news.

00:35:37.520 Here's some good news.

00:35:38.720 Well, that was,

00:35:39.620 what we just read was really good news.

00:35:42.040 So we've had two pieces of bad news,

00:35:43.920 then one good news.

00:35:44.560 Here's another piece of good news.

00:35:45.580 American beer brand Bud Light

00:35:48.960 knocked $4 billion

00:35:50.420 off of its parent company

00:35:51.920 Anheuser-Busch's market cap

00:35:53.360 this past week

00:35:54.540 following a pro-transgender advertisement

00:35:56.840 featuring the biological male

00:35:58.260 known as Dylan Mulvaney.

00:36:00.480 On March 31st,

00:36:01.640 Anheuser-Busch had a market capitalization

00:36:03.260 of $132.38 billion.

00:36:05.660 By April 10th,

00:36:06.720 the figure had dropped

00:36:07.320 to $128.4 billion

00:36:09.580 with signs that the stock market

00:36:13.680 will continue to fall.

00:36:17.920 And so,

00:36:19.220 and we know that this is all happening

00:36:21.100 after

00:36:21.820 they had this endorsement deal

00:36:26.540 with Dylan Mulvaney

00:36:27.220 and some conservatives

00:36:28.420 spoke out against it.

00:36:30.480 And this is great.

00:36:31.600 This is a great thing

00:36:32.420 and we need to keep it up.

00:36:34.920 The only negative here

00:36:36.180 is the possibility

00:36:37.340 that we won't

00:36:38.020 keep it up.

00:36:39.240 This will just be a blip

00:36:39.960 on the radar screen

00:36:40.800 and then,

00:36:42.060 and then conservatives

00:36:43.020 will just go back

00:36:43.680 to buying Bud Light again.

00:36:46.120 As long as we don't make that mistake,

00:36:48.000 then this is a big win.

00:36:50.840 As long as we stick with it,

00:36:52.420 it's not hard to do.

00:36:54.360 Like,

00:36:54.820 you cut Bud Light

00:36:55.800 out of your life

00:36:56.440 in a second 0.78

00:36:57.480 and it requires,

00:36:59.620 it requires no effort

00:37:00.620 and you'll be fine.

00:37:02.000 Like,

00:37:02.140 even if you like

00:37:02.780 that kind of terrible beer,

00:37:03.960 there are other types

00:37:04.680 that are just as cheap.

00:37:06.840 And,

00:37:07.060 that you can choose

00:37:09.220 instead.

00:37:10.240 You know,

00:37:10.480 I see conservatives

00:37:11.420 sometimes complaining

00:37:12.840 that,

00:37:14.580 this has been a big thing

00:37:15.600 on Twitter

00:37:16.000 and on social media,

00:37:17.320 you have some conservatives

00:37:17.960 complaining that the right

00:37:18.620 shouldn't have focused

00:37:19.660 on this Bud Light thing

00:37:20.860 as much as,

00:37:21.480 it's a distraction,

00:37:22.460 they say.

00:37:23.180 And in general,

00:37:23.860 they say we shouldn't be

00:37:24.580 talking about Dylan Mulvaney

00:37:25.740 because,

00:37:26.260 you know,

00:37:26.980 by talking about him,

00:37:28.100 we've quote unquote

00:37:28.600 made him famous.

00:37:30.040 Right?

00:37:30.440 Like, 0.98

00:37:30.640 he is a monster

00:37:32.640 of our own making 0.97

00:37:33.700 is the logic.

00:37:34.940 but that's a really

00:37:36.440 lazy take

00:37:37.340 and it's,

00:37:38.200 and it's,

00:37:38.640 it's obtuse

00:37:39.980 and it's not correct.

00:37:42.460 Okay?

00:37:42.880 Just like we talked

00:37:43.400 about in the open,

00:37:44.580 the left appoints

00:37:46.120 their own heroes,

00:37:47.440 their champions.

00:37:49.160 This is what they do.

00:37:50.180 The left selected Mulvaney

00:37:52.020 as their mascot

00:37:53.940 for transgenderism,

00:37:55.180 their new mascot.

00:37:56.120 He's going to be famous

00:37:56.740 no matter what we did.

00:37:57.840 That's how this works.

00:37:58.880 If you haven't noticed

00:37:59.360 by now.

00:38:00.620 The left doesn't need

00:38:01.540 our help to make

00:38:02.160 someone famous.

00:38:02.580 They can do that

00:38:02.960 all on their own.

00:38:03.500 They own all of the institutions

00:38:05.560 that bestow fame

00:38:07.080 in the first place.

00:38:07.980 So you think they need us

00:38:09.200 to go along with it?

00:38:11.560 We could never say a word

00:38:12.640 about someone

00:38:13.040 and they'd still be made

00:38:13.720 into a star.

00:38:14.340 I mean,

00:38:14.480 look at,

00:38:14.820 look at Stacey Abrams, 1.00

00:38:16.440 for example.

00:38:18.880 The right has never had

00:38:19.740 any kind of obsession

00:38:20.560 with Stacey Abrams.

00:38:22.700 We've never found her

00:38:23.460 particularly interesting

00:38:24.340 or talked about her

00:38:24.980 very much.

00:38:26.620 When she runs for office,

00:38:27.720 obviously we do,

00:38:28.140 but,

00:38:28.400 you know,

00:38:28.760 I don't think anyone

00:38:29.200 could accuse anyone

00:38:29.940 on the right of having

00:38:30.620 a Stacey Abrams obsession.

00:38:33.500 And also,

00:38:34.640 she has no charisma.

00:38:36.180 She has no star power. 0.94

00:38:37.460 She's just like a big nothing.

00:38:39.520 And yet the left

00:38:40.380 selected her.

00:38:41.520 They said,

00:38:42.120 you're one of our mascots.

00:38:45.040 You're one of ours now.

00:38:46.520 You're a star.

00:38:47.640 We've decided.

00:38:48.640 We've decided that you're a star.

00:38:50.560 And the next thing you know,

00:38:51.520 she's doing TV cameos

00:38:53.300 and she's on all

00:38:53.900 the late night shows.

00:38:54.660 She's on red carpet. 0.94

00:38:55.480 She's going to award shows. 0.98

00:38:56.460 She's hanging out

00:38:58.660 with celebrities.

00:39:00.300 And all of that happened

00:39:01.700 without any of us

00:39:03.760 on the right

00:39:04.320 contributing to it.

00:39:06.440 Because,

00:39:07.260 again,

00:39:08.000 they own

00:39:09.620 all the institutions

00:39:10.540 that bestow fame.

00:39:13.300 We could either,

00:39:13.860 so when Mulvaney

00:39:15.220 comes along,

00:39:16.160 we can either

00:39:17.040 nod and go along silently

00:39:19.420 while the next

00:39:21.060 woman-faced

00:39:21.840 minstrel show

00:39:22.560 star is appointed,

00:39:23.320 or we can speak up

00:39:24.840 and we can state

00:39:25.400 what is true and obvious.

00:39:26.600 Remember,

00:39:27.240 Dylan Mulvaney,

00:39:27.880 that thing in New York,

00:39:29.760 the day 365

00:39:31.540 of the big gala celebration,

00:39:34.060 day 365

00:39:34.760 of quote-unquote

00:39:35.560 girlhood.

00:39:36.260 And again,

00:39:37.180 celebrities were there.

00:39:38.020 It was a big,

00:39:38.400 well,

00:39:38.900 remember,

00:39:39.380 he started planning that

00:39:40.740 six months

00:39:42.460 into his girlhood shtick.

00:39:45.080 So he started planning that.

00:39:46.620 That was in the cards

00:39:48.020 before most people

00:39:49.540 on the right

00:39:50.180 even took note

00:39:51.420 of this guy.

00:39:53.320 He already had

00:39:54.600 all this funding

00:39:55.500 and support

00:39:56.180 and this was already

00:39:56.940 planned,

00:39:57.580 all of it.

00:40:00.960 And so when they

00:40:02.260 parade another man around

00:40:04.980 and say,

00:40:05.260 this is a woman,

00:40:06.140 look how great this was,

00:40:07.240 a new woman of the year.

00:40:09.000 We have two choices

00:40:09.980 on the right.

00:40:10.420 We can either

00:40:10.920 just look the other way

00:40:12.200 or we can speak up

00:40:14.620 and say,

00:40:15.580 no,

00:40:15.960 this is absurd,

00:40:16.860 this is wrong,

00:40:17.640 here's why.

00:40:18.820 Some of us chose

00:40:19.640 the latter

00:40:20.080 and the latter

00:40:20.560 is the better choice.

00:40:22.740 Now here's the thing,

00:40:23.320 we can't make

00:40:24.800 Dylan Mulvaney

00:40:25.560 unfamous.

00:40:27.420 Once the left has decided

00:40:28.560 to do that with someone,

00:40:29.500 we can't stop it.

00:40:30.700 We don't own Hollywood.

00:40:32.000 We don't own the media.

00:40:35.440 But we can

00:40:37.120 make someone

00:40:38.780 a much more toxic

00:40:39.940 and divisive figure

00:40:41.440 than he otherwise

00:40:42.300 would have been

00:40:43.020 and that's what we did

00:40:44.100 with Dylan Mulvaney

00:40:45.020 and it was well deserved.

00:40:46.480 We can't make him

00:40:46.900 unfamous.

00:40:47.660 We can,

00:40:48.920 to use a leftist term,

00:40:50.340 problematize him.

00:40:51.840 This is a term

00:40:52.340 the left uses.

00:40:53.640 To literally,

00:40:54.620 like to make,

00:40:55.440 to take something

00:40:55.940 that's not seen

00:40:56.580 as a problem

00:40:57.160 and make it a problem.

00:40:59.440 A similar thing

00:41:00.220 was successfully achieved

00:41:01.280 with the Hershey's dude

00:41:02.620 a few weeks ago.

00:41:03.700 It's a necessary tactic

00:41:05.180 in the culture war.

00:41:06.060 It's very necessary.

00:41:07.000 And the tactic

00:41:07.420 in this case

00:41:07.880 is simply to say

00:41:08.880 what is true.

00:41:09.600 So,

00:41:10.040 but we are problematizing

00:41:11.520 by pointing

00:41:12.080 to an actual problem.

00:41:13.240 The left problematizes

00:41:14.500 by making something

00:41:15.720 a problem

00:41:16.020 that isn't a problem.

00:41:17.480 But we're taking

00:41:18.040 something that is a problem,

00:41:19.100 which in this case

00:41:19.860 is the degradation

00:41:20.460 and appropriation

00:41:21.100 of womanhood

00:41:21.580 and we're pointing out

00:41:22.860 that no,

00:41:23.140 this is a problem.

00:41:23.980 Here's why.

00:41:27.880 And because of that,

00:41:29.200 you know,

00:41:29.700 Bud Light took

00:41:30.380 a major hit.

00:41:32.340 And again,

00:41:32.920 if we go back on it,

00:41:35.340 then it doesn't mean

00:41:35.920 anything.

00:41:36.220 It's not a win.

00:41:37.500 But if we stick with it,

00:41:39.180 then I guarantee you

00:41:40.720 the next corporation

00:41:42.900 that serves

00:41:44.800 a similar customer base

00:41:46.360 to what Bud Light serves.

00:41:48.680 We'll think twice

00:41:49.800 before doing an endorsement

00:41:52.300 with Dylan Mulvaney

00:41:52.920 or anybody like that.

00:41:54.280 They'll think twice about it.

00:41:55.280 They might still do it,

00:41:56.320 but we've given them

00:41:57.060 something to think about.

00:41:58.240 Is it really worth it?

00:42:01.320 All right.

00:42:01.760 Finally,

00:42:02.340 NBC News has this report.

00:42:03.540 President Joe Biden

00:42:04.180 has chosen Chicago

00:42:05.220 as the site of the 2024

00:42:06.880 Democratic National Convention,

00:42:08.800 staking a claim

00:42:09.440 in the Midwest

00:42:10.060 as Republicans plan

00:42:10.940 to host theirs

00:42:11.660 in Milwaukee.

00:42:13.900 I'm only bringing this up

00:42:15.040 because Chicago is not only

00:42:16.480 a crime-ridden city,

00:42:18.020 so therefore a great spot

00:42:19.080 for the DNC,

00:42:20.500 the convention.

00:42:21.720 Their policies made Chicago

00:42:23.020 into the hellhole that it is,

00:42:24.360 so that makes sense.

00:42:26.840 But I'm also bringing it up

00:42:28.180 because the DNC in Chicago

00:42:29.480 brings back to our memory

00:42:32.260 one of the most traumatic events

00:42:33.900 of the 90s

00:42:34.640 that those of you

00:42:35.360 who didn't live in the 90s

00:42:36.540 won't remember,

00:42:37.760 maybe you're not aware of.

00:42:38.920 But here's what happened

00:42:39.940 the last time

00:42:41.800 the Democrat convention

00:42:42.820 was in Chicago.

00:42:44.360 Watch.

00:42:45.040 I am not trying

00:42:58.300 to do this.

00:42:59.480 When I dance,

00:43:00.700 they call me margarina

00:43:01.880 and the boys,

00:43:03.020 they say you're so buena.

00:43:04.880 You know,

00:43:05.180 on second thought,

00:43:05.920 I don't,

00:43:06.840 that's not so bad.

00:43:07.900 That's actually not,

00:43:08.580 that's because this has become

00:43:09.560 an infamous clip

00:43:10.320 of the Democrats

00:43:12.600 all doing the Macarena 0.97

00:43:13.440 or someone with a gay pride flag. 0.96

00:43:17.120 Hillary Clinton's 0.97

00:43:17.800 doing the Macarena.

00:43:18.540 And I don't know,

00:43:19.360 you know,

00:43:19.600 maybe that's the last time

00:43:20.580 that any elected Democrat

00:43:21.460 was even remotely charming

00:43:22.620 on second thought.

00:43:24.160 It's a little,

00:43:25.360 you know,

00:43:26.500 it's a little charming

00:43:27.420 in its innocence,

00:43:28.180 I think.

00:43:28.600 This was the 90s,

00:43:30.460 kids.

00:43:30.720 This is what it was like,

00:43:31.660 okay?

00:43:32.260 We danced the Macarena

00:43:33.640 and you don't,

00:43:35.500 you don't understand

00:43:36.520 the Macarena craze

00:43:37.580 if you didn't live

00:43:38.600 in the 90s,

00:43:39.260 but just out of nowhere

00:43:40.740 for about six and a half weeks,

00:43:42.160 this dance was everywhere.

00:43:43.420 People were dancing this on,

00:43:44.500 they were dancing

00:43:44.900 on their rooftops.

00:43:46.040 They were,

00:43:46.560 you know,

00:43:46.880 they were dancing at work.

00:43:48.640 They were,

00:43:48.860 like there were traffic jams

00:43:50.780 and people getting out

00:43:51.880 of their cars

00:43:52.400 on the highway

00:43:52.980 and doing the Macarena.

00:43:54.460 It was just everywhere

00:43:55.400 and nobody knew

00:43:57.040 what was happening.

00:43:57.700 Nobody understood.

00:43:58.620 Nobody knew

00:43:59.140 where the Macarena came from

00:44:01.220 or why,

00:44:01.820 but it was just,

00:44:02.520 it was there.

00:44:03.380 This happened a lot

00:44:04.060 in the 90s.

00:44:04.880 Like these fads

00:44:05.660 and trends would come in

00:44:06.660 and they'd be there

00:44:07.220 for six weeks

00:44:07.720 and no one knows why.

00:44:09.080 No one knows why

00:44:09.560 we're doing this

00:44:10.160 and then we would

00:44:10.960 just stop doing it.

00:44:12.620 And it was good also.

00:44:13.560 The Macarena was a good dance

00:44:14.360 because it's a dance

00:44:15.220 you could dance

00:44:15.900 if you didn't know

00:44:16.820 how to dance

00:44:17.520 and we had those

00:44:18.480 in the 90s.

00:44:19.480 We weren't twerking

00:44:20.420 on TikTok,

00:44:21.440 okay?

00:44:22.520 We were wearing

00:44:23.140 our jean shorts.

00:44:24.280 And we were doing

00:44:25.000 the Macarena

00:44:25.580 and then one day

00:44:27.760 the Macarena went away

00:44:28.580 as quickly as it came.

00:44:30.240 And we all moved on

00:44:30.940 to the next trend

00:44:31.560 which I think

00:44:32.040 if I remember correctly

00:44:32.800 in chronology of this

00:44:34.120 was,

00:44:34.500 I think it was pogs.

00:44:35.660 Pogs were the next thing.

00:44:36.940 You don't understand pogs either.

00:44:38.260 That's a whole other thing

00:44:38.820 and I can try to explain it.

00:44:40.500 It was an innocent time.

00:44:41.700 It was good.

00:44:42.420 We were a country then.

00:44:43.880 We were a country.

00:44:44.780 We were a nation

00:44:45.600 with our pogs

00:44:47.100 and our Tamagotchis

00:44:48.280 and our yo-yos,

00:44:50.540 okay?

00:44:51.020 We would,

00:44:51.700 there was a time

00:44:52.300 where we would carry

00:44:53.400 our yo-yos around

00:44:54.420 in our pockets

00:44:55.160 and we would be playing

00:44:57.420 with the,

00:44:57.760 we would,

00:44:58.340 it's like our yo-yos

00:44:59.440 would get confiscated

00:45:00.280 at school

00:45:00.740 because all the kids

00:45:01.360 were bringing yo-yos in. 0.98

00:45:02.440 That was a thing.

00:45:05.360 Our blockbuster video rentals

00:45:07.140 and our Macarena.

00:45:09.300 That was a country.

00:45:11.140 Not whatever this

00:45:12.440 poor excuse

00:45:13.640 for a nation is now.

00:45:15.080 Let's get to the

00:45:15.880 comment section.

00:45:16.500 Who makes a Twitter mob

00:45:18.280 fly off the handle

00:46:25.860 Shev says

00:46:26.540 Matt I'm a 17 year old girl

00:46:27.720 was diagnosed

00:46:28.440 quote unquote

00:46:28.840 with ADHD

00:46:29.320 and anxiety

00:46:29.980 when I was 10

00:46:30.660 and was put on medicine

00:46:31.380 ever since.

00:46:32.100 After I started

00:46:32.540 listening to your show

00:46:33.260 last year

00:46:33.640 I asked my psychiatrist

00:46:34.420 why I never got

00:46:35.180 a brain scan

00:46:35.800 and why she decided

00:46:36.660 I have ADHD.

00:46:37.720 She couldn't give me

00:46:38.240 a valid answer

00:46:38.840 so I stopped all the meds

00:46:40.280 and I went to therapy

00:46:41.140 to learn skills instead.

00:46:42.640 I learned how to deal

00:46:43.300 with my ADHD

00:46:44.000 in a healthy way

00:46:44.800 instead of shoving it down.

00:46:46.320 Another thing

00:46:46.620 no one talks about

00:46:47.160 is that most of the ADHD meds

00:46:48.440 also shove down

00:46:49.580 your personality

00:46:50.260 making you a flat person.

00:46:52.440 Therapy and learning skills

00:46:53.340 have been way more helpful

00:46:54.620 in one year

00:46:55.240 than meds were in six.

00:46:56.900 Thanks for speaking about this

00:46:58.000 because most people don't.

00:47:00.200 Oh I love to hear that.

00:47:01.100 That's a very encouraging thing

00:47:03.580 for me to hear

00:47:04.320 that you were inspired

00:47:06.540 to make that

00:47:07.260 really healthy choice

00:47:09.480 I think

00:47:09.860 that has obviously

00:47:10.760 worked out well for you

00:47:11.780 and you know

00:47:14.040 because that's what it is

00:47:15.440 the ADHD

00:47:16.700 it's a

00:47:18.380 you know

00:47:19.140 when I say ADHD

00:47:19.640 doesn't exist

00:47:20.260 I don't mean that

00:47:20.820 the people who are

00:47:22.140 diagnosed

00:47:23.960 exist

00:47:24.960 the behaviors

00:47:27.060 that are

00:47:27.680 that fall

00:47:28.840 under

00:47:29.280 the ADHD umbrella

00:47:30.580 those behaviors exist

00:47:31.780 those kind of tendencies

00:47:33.320 and personality traits

00:47:34.140 all those exist

00:47:35.000 I know that

00:47:37.340 because I have

00:47:38.360 all those tendencies

00:47:39.180 and personality traits

00:47:40.160 I could be diagnosed

00:47:40.920 ADHD in a heartbeat

00:47:42.060 if I wanted to be

00:47:42.920 but no thank you

00:47:45.060 I'm not really interested

00:47:46.300 in taking methamphetamines

00:47:47.420 you know

00:47:49.460 so

00:47:49.700 no thanks

00:47:50.600 I also just don't

00:47:52.320 it's a

00:47:52.680 so these are

00:47:53.340 these are behaviors

00:47:54.100 and personality traits

00:47:54.960 and all that

00:47:55.460 but

00:47:56.600 it's not wrong

00:47:58.200 it's not disordered

00:47:59.140 it's just

00:47:59.440 it's how you are

00:48:00.480 and it might make it hard

00:48:01.460 in certain circumstances

00:48:02.800 and so you have to learn

00:48:03.860 how to as you say

00:48:04.420 manage

00:48:04.960 but really it's

00:48:05.760 you know

00:48:06.100 manage is one

00:48:06.700 but I think

00:48:07.300 I think a better way

00:48:08.560 of putting it

00:48:08.940 is harness

00:48:09.480 how do you harness that

00:48:10.820 okay

00:48:11.760 but my

00:48:12.320 my sons

00:48:13.100 my two

00:48:13.540 two older sons

00:48:14.280 are

00:48:15.600 could easily be diagnosed

00:48:18.260 as well

00:48:18.800 I mean they're

00:48:19.140 they're full of energy

00:48:20.640 they can't sit still

00:48:21.580 for anything

00:48:22.360 for very long

00:48:23.220 all that kind of stuff

00:48:24.860 and so we think about

00:48:26.980 well how can we harness

00:48:27.920 all of that

00:48:29.040 energy that they have

00:48:30.460 the fact that they don't

00:48:31.840 do as well learning

00:48:32.680 when they're sitting still

00:48:33.600 and just like regurgitating

00:48:34.580 information

00:48:35.140 and trying to memorize stuff

00:48:36.140 I mean you do have to do

00:48:37.040 some of that

00:48:37.640 you know

00:48:38.060 even in a homeschool environment

00:48:39.400 that is a skill

00:48:40.380 you have to learn

00:48:40.940 so we want to teach them that

00:48:41.900 but we also think about

00:48:43.080 how can we teach them

00:48:44.160 in more active ways

00:48:45.600 how can we teach them

00:48:46.320 in ways that actually

00:48:47.100 work with their personality

00:48:48.280 rather than trying to

00:48:49.340 suppress their personality

00:48:50.560 in order to fit it

00:48:52.120 into this

00:48:52.700 you know

00:48:53.140 box that we need

00:48:54.060 to fit it into

00:48:54.680 for our own convenience

00:48:55.860 and

00:48:57.640 and I

00:48:58.440 I think that that's

00:48:59.120 just a much better approach

00:49:00.140 Nate G says

00:49:03.680 I absolutely agree

00:49:04.240 with not assigning homework

00:49:05.160 we homeschool our boys

00:49:06.240 and we utilize our time

00:49:07.580 three to four hours a day

00:49:09.040 and no more

00:49:09.560 they're already far ahead

00:49:10.440 of the kids in schools

00:49:11.320 and that's all that's needed

00:49:12.040 three to

00:49:12.380 you know

00:49:12.720 people

00:49:13.040 that's one of the misconceptions

00:49:15.020 about homeschooling

00:49:15.720 when you hear that

00:49:16.460 homeschool families

00:49:17.560 and you hear them say

00:49:18.140 oh you know

00:49:18.680 we do three hours of school a day

00:49:20.040 and then

00:49:21.080 it's

00:49:22.400 that's misconstrued as

00:49:24.420 oh they're not

00:49:24.840 we're not really teaching them

00:49:25.880 they're not really getting

00:49:26.880 an education

00:49:27.420 no it's

00:49:27.840 that's all you need

00:49:29.080 and

00:49:29.940 and kids that go to public school

00:49:31.220 at most

00:49:32.500 they're getting three hours

00:49:33.880 of actual academic instruction

00:49:35.580 at most

00:49:36.200 sometimes they don't even get that

00:49:37.120 sometimes they don't get any

00:49:37.900 but there is so much

00:49:40.080 wasted time

00:49:41.800 there's so much

00:49:42.820 superfluous

00:49:43.700 uh

00:49:44.620 stuff

00:49:45.020 that has nothing to do

00:49:46.080 with educating them

00:49:46.840 um

00:49:48.700 and

00:49:50.260 there's a lot of

00:49:51.400 busy work

00:49:52.040 and all of that

00:49:52.580 and if you cut

00:49:53.160 all of that out

00:49:54.240 um

00:49:56.020 and you cut out

00:49:57.020 things like gym class

00:49:58.060 you know

00:49:58.300 you don't need gym class

00:49:59.960 because that

00:50:01.220 that's

00:50:01.540 the kids lives

00:50:02.680 outside of school

00:50:03.480 should be gym class

00:50:04.580 I don't need my kids

00:50:05.340 like I

00:50:06.060 you think

00:50:06.600 I don't need my

00:50:07.180 nine-year-old son

00:50:08.180 to go 45 minutes

00:50:09.580 into the gymnasium

00:50:11.020 that's his whole life

00:50:12.200 he's constantly outside

00:50:13.180 running around

00:50:13.700 and doing

00:50:14.020 climbing trees

00:50:15.780 and building forts

00:50:16.440 and doing all that

00:50:17.080 we don't need to schedule

00:50:18.820 that into the academic day

00:50:20.380 so cut out all that nonsense

00:50:23.020 and uh

00:50:24.440 and what are you left with

00:50:25.460 you're left with

00:50:26.080 you know

00:50:26.680 two three

00:50:27.400 four hours at most

00:50:28.740 of actual academic instruction

00:50:29.820 um

00:50:31.240 another one

00:50:32.900 this is a comment

00:50:33.420 from someone with a

00:50:34.260 username

00:50:35.520 in a

00:50:36.140 Chinese letter

00:50:37.260 so I can't really

00:50:38.180 tell you what to say

00:50:39.000 but uh

00:50:39.840 Matt

00:50:40.740 homework is important

00:50:41.640 at school

00:50:42.240 you uh

00:50:43.080 merely learn

00:50:44.480 learning alone

00:50:45.040 is not enough

00:50:45.580 it's like downloading a file

00:50:46.760 and doing nothing

00:50:47.420 with it

00:50:47.900 you have to spend time

00:50:49.220 and do stuff on your own

00:50:50.380 to check if you actually

00:50:51.460 understood what was taught

00:50:52.540 and can apply the knowledge

00:50:54.100 that is when you realize

00:50:55.160 what you know

00:50:56.020 except that homework

00:50:56.860 is an application

00:50:57.700 you know

00:50:58.280 you're not applying it

00:50:59.060 with homework

00:50:59.420 homework is

00:50:59.940 is uh

00:51:00.640 is

00:51:01.740 is

00:51:02.640 oftentimes it's busy work

00:51:04.340 but it's really

00:51:04.880 it's just memorization

00:51:06.020 and regurgitation

00:51:06.680 that's not application

00:51:07.580 that's not the same thing

00:51:09.200 and whatever you're doing

00:51:10.580 with homework

00:51:10.940 you can do that

00:51:11.660 at school

00:51:12.200 is the point

00:51:12.760 so even if it is application

00:51:14.560 there's no reason

00:51:15.140 whatever assignment

00:51:15.700 they give you

00:51:16.000 for homework

00:51:16.760 you can do that

00:51:17.680 at school

00:51:18.060 there's no reason

00:51:18.820 why you have to do it

00:51:19.340 at home

00:51:19.780 uh

00:51:22.040 if the schools

00:51:22.720 would just utilize

00:51:23.480 that six to seven hour

00:51:24.460 chunk they've been given

00:51:25.540 which is a lot of time

00:51:26.660 use the time better

00:51:28.160 don't

00:51:30.120 don't send the kids home

00:51:31.200 and then try to tell me

00:51:32.220 that

00:51:32.400 that I gotta give more

00:51:33.560 of my time

00:51:34.140 with my own child

00:51:34.740 over to you

00:51:35.400 because you don't know

00:51:36.440 how to do your jobs

00:51:37.440 and you can't figure out

00:51:39.140 how to educate children

00:51:40.640 when you're there

00:51:41.180 when they're there

00:51:41.540 for six seven hours a day

00:51:43.100 you wanted to waste time

00:51:45.480 putting movies on

00:51:46.140 for them to watch

00:51:46.820 and send them to gym class

00:51:47.900 and all the rest of it

00:51:48.640 and having uh

00:51:49.520 you know

00:51:49.680 talking about diversity

00:51:50.700 and a bunch of nonsense

00:51:51.440 you're wasting time on that 0.55

00:51:52.500 and then and then that's

00:51:53.700 then that's my problem

00:51:54.600 as a parent

00:51:55.060 now I gotta make up

00:51:56.420 for the work

00:51:56.840 that you didn't do

00:51:57.580 no

00:51:59.260 uh

00:52:01.320 let's see

00:52:02.880 another comment

00:52:03.720 at first I was angry

00:52:04.520 about Johnny

00:52:05.020 but I feel like you gave

00:52:05.820 your kids a good lesson

00:52:07.100 about about sometimes

00:52:08.000 you have to put an animal down

00:52:09.200 and I'm glad you used

00:52:10.060 every last piece of them

00:52:10.980 like the good Native American

00:52:12.140 that you are

00:52:12.820 Oni says

00:52:15.000 mourn Johnny's passing

00:52:16.520 as befits a walrus

00:52:17.480 of his standing

00:52:18.120 he gave light

00:52:18.860 love and joy to all

00:52:19.980 even those who didn't

00:52:21.080 love him back

00:52:21.600 truly the sweet baby gang

00:52:22.700 has lost one of its best

00:52:23.860 another one

00:52:26.180 we are gathered here

00:52:27.100 to say goodbye

00:52:27.640 to a sweet innocent

00:52:28.420 stuffed soul

00:52:29.360 to a sweet innocent

00:52:30.760 stuffed soul

00:52:31.520 he was friend to all

00:52:33.020 was never afraid

00:52:33.980 to put a flipper on

00:52:34.760 our shoulders

00:52:35.200 and give us comfort

00:52:35.800 if Johnny were here

00:52:36.560 he would say

00:52:37.020 don't worry about me

00:52:38.040 I'm in a better place

00:52:38.900 and I'm glad my presence

00:52:39.820 is not causing division

00:52:40.840 in my family anymore

00:52:41.880 rest in pieces

00:52:43.000 our beloved Johnny the walrus

00:52:44.340 Just Ray says

00:52:46.700 rest in peace

00:52:47.860 Johnny the walrus

00:52:48.500 he gave us nothing but love

00:52:49.480 but this world

00:52:50.360 was just too turbulent

00:52:51.320 to accept it

00:52:52.120 then Aaron says

00:52:53.320 the fact that Matt

00:52:54.960 just admitted to

00:52:55.640 murdering a mascot

00:52:56.460 of the SPG 1.00

00:52:57.160 I think he must be punished

00:52:58.220 this is a dark day

00:52:59.240 for the SPG

00:52:59.980 my heart is hurting

00:53:01.020 more than ever

00:53:01.620 R.I.P. Johnny

00:53:02.300 I appreciate the words

00:53:03.400 you know words of sympathy

00:53:04.560 and mourning

00:53:04.980 from some of you

00:53:05.740 those of you like Aaron

00:53:07.160 who have tried to

00:53:07.840 victim blame me

00:53:08.980 are of course

00:53:09.820 all banned from the show

00:53:10.880 I should go without saying

00:53:12.300 I didn't murder Johnny

00:53:13.780 yes I chopped into pieces

00:53:15.000 my children harvested

00:53:16.680 his parts

00:53:17.200 like a black market

00:53:18.220 human organ traffickers

00:53:20.560 but it was

00:53:21.740 it was

00:53:22.660 I was only doing

00:53:24.600 what I had to do

00:53:25.500 is it

00:53:26.060 it was a mercy killing

00:53:27.220 that's what it was

00:53:28.820 Johnny it turned out

00:53:29.820 was too good

00:53:31.300 for this world

00:53:31.840 he was too pure

00:53:32.640 he was too generous

00:53:33.540 he was too kind

00:53:34.880 and so I

00:53:36.720 and so I cut his 1.00

00:53:38.820 head off 1.00

00:53:39.640 and I threw him 0.99

00:53:40.200 in the trash 0.62

00:53:40.640 that's what happened

00:53:42.540 and it's difficult

00:53:43.960 to talk about it

00:53:44.640 I don't want to talk

00:53:45.120 about it anymore

00:53:45.460 there's a scripture

00:53:47.000 from Proverbs

00:53:47.660 that says

00:53:48.360 where there is no vision

00:53:49.560 the people perish

00:53:50.560 and that's certainly

00:53:51.300 true today

00:53:51.900 we've turned away

00:53:52.480 from God

00:53:52.980 not just at our

00:53:53.700 own personal expense

00:53:54.720 but the expense

00:53:55.700 of society as a whole

00:53:56.900 and that's what

00:53:58.280 Dr. Douglas Headley

00:53:59.420 points out

00:54:00.040 in the latest episode

00:54:01.280 of Exodus

00:54:01.660 with Jordan Peterson

00:54:02.440 check it out

00:54:03.040 the vision of God

00:54:05.180 is a necessary condition

00:54:07.940 of the flourishing

00:54:09.100 of society

00:54:09.920 and without that vision

00:54:12.540 a people perishes

00:54:13.940 well there's

00:54:15.060 there's technical reasons

00:54:16.700 for that

00:54:17.100 I would say

00:54:17.620 that we know

00:54:18.240 biologically now too

00:54:19.540 is that

00:54:19.900 almost all enthusiasm

00:54:22.000 and so that is to be

00:54:23.160 filled with the spirit

00:54:24.000 of God

00:54:24.400 that's positive emotion

00:54:25.520 and all positive emotion

00:54:27.380 of the most intense sort

00:54:29.660 I don't mean satiation

00:54:30.800 and satisfaction

00:54:31.480 I mean hope

00:54:32.640 and enthusiasm

00:54:33.240 that moves you forward

00:54:34.960 is tied to a vision

00:54:37.500 because all positive emotion

00:54:39.380 signals movement

00:54:40.640 towards a valued goal

00:54:41.800 in addition to Douglas Headley

00:54:43.500 Jordan is joined by

00:54:47.460 seminal books

00:54:48.200 in the Bible

00:54:50.400 and thought provoking

00:54:51.100 as you would expect

00:55:02.480 today for our Daily Cancellation

00:55:07.460 we turn to a sadly

00:55:08.440 familiar story

00:55:09.360 one that has played out

00:55:10.400 in almost identical fashion

00:55:11.740 countless times

00:55:13.040 on college campuses

00:55:13.940 across the country

00:55:14.620 this time it's

00:55:15.160 the College of New Jersey

00:55:16.340 Daily Wire reports

00:55:17.840 on the story

00:55:18.280 of a male college student

00:55:19.380 who was investigated

00:55:20.140 by the school

00:55:20.700 for sexual assault

00:55:21.760 three years

00:55:23.340 after a sexual encounter

00:55:24.260 that he says

00:55:25.140 was entirely consensual

00:55:26.220 reading now it says

00:55:27.020 the male student

00:55:27.700 whom the Daily Wire

00:55:28.560 we'll call John Doe

00:55:29.580 was a freshman

00:55:30.280 at TCNJ

00:55:31.300 in the fall of 2017

00:55:33.400 throughout the school year

00:55:34.520 a female student

00:55:35.520 referred to in court documents

00:55:36.580 as Jane Rowe

00:55:37.440 regularly came over

00:55:38.960 to John's dorm

00:55:40.080 to spend time

00:55:40.700 with his roommate

00:55:41.280 her ex-boyfriend

00:55:42.000 with whom she was

00:55:42.600 still friends

00:55:43.140 according to the lawsuit

00:55:44.560 John filed after

00:55:45.580 TCNJ punished him

00:55:47.320 he didn't interact

00:55:48.900 with Jane outside

00:55:49.480 of her visits

00:55:49.980 to his dorm room

00:55:50.660 on September 30th

00:55:51.980 2017

00:55:52.360 not long into

00:55:53.240 his freshman year

00:55:53.840 John, Jane

00:55:55.140 and John's roommate

00:55:55.920 were all hanging out

00:55:56.620 together in John's

00:55:57.300 dorm room

00:55:57.600 at some point

00:55:58.000 John's roommate

00:55:58.540 left for the night

00:55:59.300 and John and Jane

00:56:00.180 remained alone together

00:56:01.080 to continue talking

00:56:01.960 into the night

00:56:02.480 which John says

00:56:03.680 turned into consensual

00:56:04.500 kissing that lasted

00:56:05.240 for a few minutes

00:56:05.840 John asked Jane 1.00

00:56:06.640 to perform oral sex 1.00

00:56:08.260 on him 1.00

00:56:08.740 and she agreed

00:56:09.620 after Jane voluntarily

00:56:11.280 and willingly engaged 0.99

00:56:12.020 in oral sex 0.99

00:56:12.480 with John 1.00

00:56:12.820 the two fell asleep

00:56:13.560 in John's bed

00:56:14.140 according to the lawsuit

00:56:14.860 the next morning

00:56:15.700 John asked Jane 0.98

00:56:16.500 if she wanted to have sex 0.87

00:56:17.800 college teaches students

00:56:18.940 that they must ask

00:56:19.820 first to engage

00:56:21.060 in any kind of sexual activity

00:56:22.120 Jane agreed

00:56:22.680 and the two engaged

00:56:23.660 in what John described

00:56:24.380 as consensual sexual intercourse

00:56:25.860 afterward 0.99

00:56:27.380 Jane left

00:56:28.060 John's dorm room

00:56:29.100 and from there

00:56:30.280 you know

00:56:30.940 we're told that

00:56:31.540 John and Jane

00:56:32.300 maintained a friendly relationship

00:56:33.840 as acquaintances

00:56:34.920 they made small talk

00:56:36.580 when they saw each other

00:56:37.220 on campus

00:56:37.620 they even apparently

00:56:38.800 worked on a calculus

00:56:39.680 assignment together

00:56:40.700 I have no idea

00:56:41.480 how you work on a calculus

00:56:42.540 how do you do calculus

00:56:43.760 with someone

00:56:44.420 I don't know

00:56:44.940 I don't know how to do

00:56:45.420 calculus at all

00:56:46.040 so it's a mystery to me

00:56:47.160 but in any case

00:56:47.800 everything seemed fine

00:56:48.980 everything seemed normal

00:56:50.840 according to John

00:56:51.920 until a month later

00:56:53.120 when Jane started dating 0.97

00:56:54.280 a different guy

00:56:55.120 at the school

00:56:55.860 and this is when Jane

00:56:57.400 first started telling

00:56:58.240 the story of the alleged

00:56:59.460 sexual assault

00:57:00.460 that she supposedly

00:57:02.480 suffered at the hands

00:57:03.680 of John

00:57:04.080 it's nearly another year

00:57:06.200 that passes

00:57:07.080 and then finally

00:57:09.520 after another year

00:57:10.760 Jane reports 0.60

00:57:12.140 this alleged crime

00:57:13.180 to the school's

00:57:13.900 Title IX department

00:57:14.760 John himself

00:57:15.960 was never told

00:57:16.820 apparently about

00:57:17.680 the complaint

00:57:18.260 and he was never

00:57:18.960 questioned

00:57:19.540 he was never getting

00:57:20.020 a chance to tell

00:57:20.480 the side of the story

00:57:21.040 he didn't even know

00:57:21.600 about it

00:57:22.160 and then a few weeks

00:57:24.540 after opening the case

00:57:25.620 Jane told the Title IX

00:57:27.320 department

00:57:27.720 that she wanted

00:57:28.580 to close it

00:57:29.260 that's back to

00:57:30.820 the Daily Wire report

00:57:31.460 but three years later

00:57:33.340 now almost four years

00:57:35.240 since the encounter

00:57:35.860 Jane asked the Title IX 0.69

00:57:36.880 office to reopen

00:57:37.860 her case 0.53

00:57:38.320 on May 4th 2021

00:57:39.340 Jane filed a formal

00:57:40.360 complaint against John

00:57:41.340 which required the school

00:57:42.080 to notify him

00:57:42.780 of the allegations

00:57:43.580 the complaint alleged

00:57:44.820 that John sexually

00:57:45.520 assaulted Jane 0.78

00:57:46.180 and made sexually harassing 0.97

00:57:47.160 comments to her

00:57:47.760 during the calculus class

00:57:48.760 in the second semester

00:57:51.000 of their freshman year

00:57:53.660 John was informed

00:57:54.840 that an alternative

00:57:56.260 resolution agreement

00:57:57.660 ARA

00:57:58.180 was being sought

00:57:59.440 without telling him

00:58:00.160 the implications

00:58:00.740 of such an agreement

00:58:01.480 John obtained legal counsel

00:58:03.080 and was sent

00:58:03.700 the ARA

00:58:04.500 which required him

00:58:05.240 to perform

00:58:05.740 90 hours of community service

00:58:07.920 and take online classes

00:58:08.880 John declined to accept

00:58:09.820 the ARA

00:58:10.120 saying that he felt

00:58:10.820 it was an unreasonable

00:58:11.460 punishment for something

00:58:12.500 he didn't do

00:58:13.240 according to the lawsuit

00:58:14.220 since John didn't

00:58:15.500 accept the ARA

00:58:16.180 Jane told the Title IX

00:58:18.120 office that she wanted

00:58:19.120 to pursue the formal

00:58:20.120 resolution process

00:58:21.240 which required a hearing

00:58:23.220 at this point

00:58:23.720 however

00:58:23.980 John had already

00:58:24.940 graduated from TCNJ

00:58:26.140 and left campus

00:58:26.920 yet the school

00:58:27.600 pursued the process anyway

00:58:28.660 so now the case

00:58:30.000 was fully in the hands

00:58:31.080 of the school's

00:58:31.800 kangaroo court

00:58:32.640 where all of the

00:58:34.140 normal constitutional rights

00:58:35.820 and protections

00:58:36.820 like due process

00:58:37.760 which were also

00:58:38.680 you know

00:58:39.040 going out the window

00:58:39.900 everywhere else too

00:58:41.880 but all of that

00:58:43.060 doesn't apply

00:58:44.400 more from the report

00:58:46.140 it says

00:58:46.460 John's legal counsel

00:58:47.500 at the time

00:58:48.140 or at least

00:58:49.360 they act

00:58:50.900 as though it

00:58:51.380 doesn't apply

00:58:51.880 I should say

00:58:52.360 John's legal counsel

00:58:54.100 at the time

00:58:54.320 advised him

00:58:54.780 not to speak

00:58:55.760 during the grievance

00:58:56.520 process

00:58:56.880 because anything

00:58:57.380 he said

00:58:57.660 could be used

00:58:58.040 against him

00:58:58.460 if Jane decided 0.65

00:58:58.940 to file criminal

00:58:59.600 charges

00:59:00.040 even though TCNJ's

00:59:01.460 policies say

00:59:02.020 the burden of proof

00:59:02.620 is on the school

00:59:03.260 and not the accused

00:59:04.000 the school reportedly

00:59:04.860 only pursued evidence

00:59:05.960 that pointed to

00:59:06.640 John's guilt

00:59:07.240 the school spoke

00:59:08.280 to Jane's boyfriend

00:59:08.940 and her friend

00:59:09.560 who gave inconsistent

00:59:10.360 statements

00:59:10.880 the school also

00:59:12.100 allowed what John

00:59:13.160 describes as

00:59:13.700 prejudicial hearsay

00:59:15.160 statements to be

00:59:15.940 presented to the

00:59:16.520 administrators

00:59:16.920 overseeing the hearing

00:59:17.900 and while the school

00:59:19.200 allowed Jane to submit

00:59:20.100 hearsay statements

00:59:20.800 regarding her mental state

00:59:21.720 John was not allowed

00:59:22.480 to rebut her statements

00:59:23.340 or present evidence

00:59:24.120 of his own mental state

00:59:24.960 John's counsel

00:59:26.060 at the time

00:59:26.460 also advised him

00:59:27.320 not to attend the hearing

00:59:28.420 on November 5th

00:59:29.840 2021

00:59:30.180 he was informed

00:59:31.260 that he had been

00:59:31.680 found responsible

00:59:32.480 would be suspended

00:59:33.540 for two years

00:59:34.340 even though he didn't

00:59:34.760 go to school anymore

00:59:35.280 and a note would appear

00:59:37.540 on his school transcript

00:59:38.660 saying that he

00:59:39.260 was found responsible

00:59:40.560 for sexual assault

00:59:41.600 so we're told that

00:59:43.400 John obtained

00:59:44.480 new counsel

00:59:45.160 and tried to get

00:59:46.040 a new hearing

00:59:47.080 but he was denied

00:59:47.920 and finally

00:59:48.440 John filed a lawsuit

00:59:49.380 against the school

00:59:50.180 as it stands right now

00:59:51.420 the school tried

00:59:52.160 to get the lawsuit

00:59:52.680 dismissed

00:59:53.220 but that motion

00:59:54.900 was itself dismissed

00:59:57.100 or was denied

00:59:57.880 it's not certain

00:59:59.240 where this goes

00:59:59.860 from here

01:00:00.300 but at least

01:00:01.740 the case is in

01:00:02.500 you know

01:00:02.920 a real court

01:00:04.120 where a guy

01:00:05.360 in John's

01:00:06.000 situation

01:00:06.760 is still in a

01:00:08.300 has a huge

01:00:09.180 built-in disadvantage

01:00:10.380 it's just a slightly

01:00:11.800 less huge

01:00:12.640 built-in disadvantage

01:00:13.640 now here's the point

01:00:15.340 about all this

01:00:15.800 two points actually

01:00:16.420 first

01:00:16.760 we don't know

01:00:17.920 what really happened

01:00:18.520 between the people

01:00:19.300 that we're calling

01:00:19.880 John and Jane

01:00:20.460 we do know

01:00:21.480 that Jane acted

01:00:22.420 every step of the way

01:00:23.260 like someone

01:00:24.120 who was not

01:00:25.040 actually assaulted

01:00:26.060 she waited a month

01:00:26.880 to tell anybody

01:00:27.480 about the alleged incident

01:00:28.520 a year to file a complaint

01:00:30.220 then she dropped it

01:00:31.340 then she reopened it

01:00:32.180 three years later

01:00:33.200 it doesn't seem likely

01:00:35.880 that a real victim

01:00:36.740 would handle it this way

01:00:37.640 and regardless

01:00:38.100 three years is just

01:00:39.100 it's far too late

01:00:40.440 to prove anything

01:00:41.960 about an encounter

01:00:42.760 that occurred

01:00:43.480 in a dorm room

01:00:44.260 between two people

01:00:45.440 with no witnesses

01:00:46.640 I mean no matter

01:00:48.520 what actually happened

01:00:49.300 how could either of them

01:00:50.220 possibly prove anything

01:00:51.460 one way or another

01:00:52.320 three years after the fact

01:00:53.880 of course in a legitimate

01:00:55.920 legal setting

01:00:56.840 only the accuser

01:00:58.560 has to prove something

01:00:59.400 so it's not

01:01:00.000 what can either of them prove

01:01:01.240 there's only one person

01:01:01.960 has to prove anything

01:01:02.580 that's the way it works

01:01:03.160 one of the most fundamental

01:01:04.240 principles of our legal system

01:01:05.500 is that the accused

01:01:06.440 no matter the crime

01:01:07.920 doesn't have to prove

01:01:08.820 his innocence

01:01:09.340 but these Title IX

01:01:10.860 university tribunals

01:01:12.060 they don't recognize

01:01:12.880 these principles

01:01:13.780 and they don't respect

01:01:15.000 these basic human rights

01:01:16.320 a student

01:01:17.420 even a former student

01:01:19.320 in this case

01:01:19.820 is presumed guilty

01:01:20.980 of sexual assault

01:01:22.300 the moment he's accused of it

01:01:23.740 and if he cannot come up

01:01:26.520 with overwhelming evidence

01:01:27.900 that he didn't do

01:01:29.400 what he's accused of doing

01:01:30.560 three years ago

01:01:31.340 in private

01:01:31.940 in a room with the door shut

01:01:33.280 nobody else present

01:01:33.980 if he can't prove that

01:01:35.700 which I don't know

01:01:36.820 how you possibly could

01:01:38.160 then he'll be branded 0.94

01:01:39.760 a rapist 0.73

01:01:40.280 so the whole thing is 0.98

01:01:41.940 I mean the whole process

01:01:43.220 that these universities

01:01:43.800 go through is a total farce

01:01:44.940 it's exactly why schools

01:01:46.060 should not be in a position

01:01:47.400 of adjudicating these cases

01:01:49.300 in the first place

01:01:50.080 if a crime was allegedly committed

01:01:52.020 it should be handled

01:01:52.740 by the criminal court system

01:01:54.440 okay

01:01:55.060 if a student

01:01:55.700 if a student is actually

01:01:57.440 sexually assaulted

01:01:58.160 which obviously does happen

01:01:59.820 then she's a victim of a crime

01:02:02.100 not merely a Title IX infringement

01:02:04.400 and she should go to the police

01:02:06.180 not the university Title IX department

01:02:08.560 second

01:02:10.240 if John was falsely accused

01:02:12.520 then

01:02:13.760 if he's falsely accused

01:02:15.180 then he's the real victim

01:02:15.960 and so I don't mean to victim blame

01:02:18.060 when I say this

01:02:18.620 but it needs to be said

01:02:19.360 this is yet another reason

01:02:20.680 why casual sex 0.88

01:02:22.700 is a very bad idea 0.89

01:02:23.820 okay

01:02:24.560 according to his version of events

01:02:26.260 which to me seems

01:02:27.340 the more credible version 0.99

01:02:28.620 he had oral sex 1.00

01:02:30.420 and then intercourse 1.00

01:02:31.080 with a girl who 0.97

01:02:31.880 could barely be described

01:02:33.720 as an acquaintance

01:02:34.600 and she regretted

01:02:36.520 according to his account

01:02:37.300 you know

01:02:37.960 we can assume

01:02:38.420 she regretted

01:02:39.020 the consensual encounter later

01:02:40.260 and used it against him

01:02:41.420 to try and ruin his life

01:02:42.200 there's not much

01:02:44.280 he can do now

01:02:44.920 to fully clear his name

01:02:46.060 especially when he's in the hands

01:02:47.240 of the university kangaroo courts

01:02:49.080 but the next potential

01:02:51.840 false accusation victim

01:02:53.280 can do much

01:02:54.000 to keep his life

01:02:54.680 and reputation

01:02:55.240 attacked by not having

01:02:56.780 casual sex

01:02:58.260 with strangers 0.53

01:02:58.960 that's not a 100%

01:03:00.080 foolproof guarantee

01:03:00.900 you could still be

01:03:01.600 accused of something

01:03:02.420 even if you were never

01:03:02.980 in the same room as somebody

01:03:04.180 anyone could accuse

01:03:05.120 anyone of anything

01:03:05.840 but you certainly

01:03:07.720 are putting yourself

01:03:08.960 in a much stronger position

01:03:10.220 you know

01:03:11.980 it turns out

01:03:12.320 there's a reason

01:03:12.820 why those prudish

01:03:13.800 social conservatives

01:03:14.720 have always recommended

01:03:16.140 that sex be saved 0.73

01:03:17.160 for the bonds of marriage

01:03:18.080 and this is one

01:03:19.120 of those reasons

01:03:19.600 sex is obviously 0.77

01:03:20.740 the most intimate 0.61

01:03:21.520 and personal

01:03:23.360 physical interaction

01:03:24.360 that you can have

01:03:25.120 with another human being

01:03:25.940 if you engage

01:03:27.200 in this act

01:03:27.680 with someone

01:03:28.020 you don't know

01:03:29.020 someone you have

01:03:29.980 no tie to

01:03:30.900 no commitment to

01:03:31.840 someone you have

01:03:32.400 made no promise

01:03:33.180 or vows to

01:03:33.940 you have put yourself

01:03:35.340 in an incredibly

01:03:35.960 vulnerable situation

01:03:37.200 in many ways

01:03:37.920 this is true

01:03:39.040 for the man

01:03:39.480 and the woman equally

01:03:40.380 a woman who 0.95

01:03:41.660 casually engages

01:03:43.120 in the reproductive act

01:03:44.300 with some random dude

01:03:45.600 could find that the act

01:03:47.680 had exactly the reproductive result

01:03:49.120 that it is designed to have

01:03:50.800 and now she's in the position 0.95

01:03:52.680 of carrying a child

01:03:53.700 whose father

01:03:54.320 she barely knows

01:03:55.360 a man for his part

01:03:57.620 could easily find himself

01:03:58.860 in the position

01:03:59.320 that John is in

01:03:59.960 you know

01:04:00.440 if the woman decides

01:04:01.460 that she regrets

01:04:03.400 the encounter

01:04:03.960 and if she has

01:04:05.720 no integrity

01:04:06.400 then she could make

01:04:08.020 a false claim

01:04:08.640 against him

01:04:09.200 but of course

01:04:10.020 the man has no idea

01:04:11.100 whether she's

01:04:12.260 this sort of woman 1.00

01:04:12.960 whether she has

01:04:13.580 integrity or not

01:04:14.300 because he doesn't

01:04:15.480 know her 0.91

01:04:15.820 and yet had sex 0.99

01:04:16.900 with her anyway 0.76

01:04:17.360 even if there are

01:04:20.300 no false accusations

01:04:21.240 and no pregnancies

01:04:22.100 and no other

01:04:22.620 consequences of that

01:04:23.740 sort

01:04:23.900 still

01:04:24.600 both people involved

01:04:25.780 will be left

01:04:26.660 with the emotional

01:04:27.760 and spiritual damage

01:04:28.940 of having given

01:04:29.680 themselves physically

01:04:30.460 to a stranger

01:04:31.100 they allowed themselves

01:04:32.320 to be used

01:04:32.980 as an object

01:04:33.680 and this I believe

01:04:34.680 is where many

01:04:35.760 of the false accusations

01:04:37.300 come from

01:04:38.060 in cases of false accusations

01:04:40.160 in many cases I think

01:04:41.240 you know

01:04:42.380 the woman wakes up 0.99

01:04:43.340 the next morning

01:04:43.880 feels used

01:04:45.340 you know

01:04:46.080 and she was used 0.79

01:04:48.400 except that

01:04:49.200 it was consensual

01:04:51.180 and it was mutual

01:04:52.020 she used the man 1.00

01:04:53.200 as much as he used her

01:04:54.480 that's what all casual 0.98

01:04:55.400 sex is 0.97

01:04:56.200 that's what hookup culture is 0.94

01:04:57.160 they were both dehumanized

01:04:59.220 and they were both

01:05:00.260 diminished by the encounter

01:05:01.540 but they participated in it

01:05:03.040 if it was consensual

01:05:04.260 they weren't assaulted

01:05:07.820 they aren't victims

01:05:08.660 but they were harmed

01:05:11.080 both of them

01:05:11.860 in ways that may or may not

01:05:14.280 they may or may not

01:05:15.620 come to understand

01:05:16.460 you know

01:05:18.220 it turns out that

01:05:18.860 you can engage in something

01:05:19.760 consensually

01:05:20.520 and it can still harm you

01:05:21.780 it could still be bad

01:05:22.900 so this can all be avoided

01:05:25.760 by simply putting the horse

01:05:27.360 in front of the cart

01:05:28.160 instead of the other way around

01:05:29.140 okay

01:05:29.820 you know

01:05:32.120 this is meant to be

01:05:34.000 sex is meant to be 0.64

01:05:34.840 an expression

01:05:35.420 of love

01:05:36.860 between a man and a woman 0.97

01:05:38.060 who actually love each other

01:05:39.900 and are devoted

01:05:40.740 and committed
