00:00:00.080 Today on The Matt Walsh Show, there is a civilizational crisis happening right now that hardly anyone is talking about.
00:00:04.900 Men are becoming neutered as testosterone levels drop catastrophically.
00:00:08.760 Why is this happening? Well, new research suggests that porn may be a major culprit.
00:00:12.380 We'll talk about that. Also, Kohl's goes the way of Target and Bud Light.
00:00:15.480 The New York Times attacks Uganda for a new law that supposedly prescribes the death penalty for homosexuality,

00:01:41.020 When polls show that 9 out of 10 Americans want something, whatever it is,
00:01:46.120 you'd think that would get the immediate attention of the political class in this country.
00:01:49.960 After all, 90% of Americans don't support more funding for Ukraine or punting on the debt ceiling
00:01:55.660 or, you know, hanging pride flags on our embassies.
00:01:59.140 And yet, in a representative democracy, the leaders of both major parties are on board with all those things.
00:02:04.200 So whatever the standard for bipartisan urgency is, it's a lot less than 90% in the polls.
00:02:10.820 With that in mind, it's more than a little bit strange that for decades,
00:02:15.700 9 out of 10 Americans, virtually the entire country really,
00:02:18.640 wanted something that our political leaders barely ever talked about.
00:02:21.860 Polling from Gallup has measured this.
00:02:23.580 They found that from 1990 to 2013, the percentage of people in this country who wanted children
00:02:28.280 had remained at the same extremely high level.
00:02:31.140 Quote, Americans' attitudes about having children have remained unchanged over the past 23 years.
00:02:35.720 More than 9 in 10 adults say they already have children,
00:02:38.480 are planning to have children, or wish that they had had children.
00:02:41.880 The 5% of Americans who do not want children is virtually the same as the 4% found in Gallup,
00:02:48.180 found in 1990.
00:02:49.780 That was Gallup.
00:02:50.740 That was a decade ago.
00:02:52.720 Now, reading that, you'd think that every politician would have spent the last 30 years
00:02:57.060 making sure that people could have the families they clearly wanted to have.
00:03:01.560 You'd think they'd have paid attention to fertility rates, for example,
00:03:05.180 and stayed on top of any downward trend in the birth rate.
00:03:08.320 And yet, as Americans clearly expressed their preference for having kids,
00:03:12.000 politicians and health experts totally ignored a problem that would prevent many young men
00:03:16.520 from ever becoming fathers.
00:03:18.360 Starting decades ago, testosterone levels in young men began declining rapidly
00:03:22.560 at a rate never before seen in human history, and without any explanation.
00:03:27.660 This is another thing that you would think, if you were naive anyway,
00:03:31.220 you would think our political leaders would take note of.
00:03:34.080 When something is happening in society that has never happened before,
00:03:38.300 we should focus on it, and we should try to figure out why it's happening.
00:03:43.340 When, for instance, LGBT identities are rising exponentially, seemingly out of nowhere,
00:03:47.980 reaching levels in the population never before seen,
00:03:50.340 or when, as mentioned, testosterone levels are falling through the floor.
00:03:54.560 All this is historic, and so we should look at it and say, what is going on here?
00:04:00.260 On that latter point about testosterone, here's the data.
00:04:02.800 The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism found that, by 2006,
00:04:06.900 testosterone levels in men had decreased by more than 20% since the mid-1980s,
00:04:13.160 which is a staggering job.
00:04:15.300 The authors couldn't identify any reason for the job.
00:04:18.120 Quote,
00:04:18.900 We observe a substantial age-independent decline in tea
00:04:22.340 that does not appear to be attributable to observed changes in explanatory factors,
00:04:28.080 including health and lifestyle characteristics, such as smoking and obesity.
00:04:31.500 The authors added, quote,
00:04:33.280 It remains unclear to what these apparent population-level decreases in tea are attributable.
00:04:39.580 Without any real interest from anyone in the public health field,
00:04:42.980 the problem got much worse over time.
00:04:44.840 In 2020, the journal European Urology found that
00:04:47.940 average testosterone levels had dropped by approximately 25% since 1999.
00:04:53.680 The researchers found that, quote,
00:04:55.100 Testosterone deficiency has a prevalence of 20% among adolescent and young adult males,
00:04:59.720 and that, again, there was no clear explanation.
00:05:03.400 Now, because people were getting a lot fatter in this period, and still are,
00:05:07.300 a lot of media reports speculated that there was a causal connection there,
00:05:10.440 since obesity tends to lower testosterone levels.
00:05:13.140 But the researchers again determined that that was not the cause of the problem.
00:05:16.500 Quote,
00:05:16.660 So we're talking about problems like less bone density, less muscle mass, more chronic disease,
00:05:38.640 erectile dysfunction, low sperm count, just to name a few.
00:05:41.560 We're seeing a dramatic increase in all of these problems right now.
00:05:46.140 Sperm counts in particular have fallen off a cliff.
00:05:48.840 Watch.
00:05:50.140 We turn now to male infertility.
00:05:52.040 It is an affliction that many struggle with in silence, and we could be headed toward a crisis.
00:05:56.680 Researchers have found that male sperm count has plummeted by 50% since the 1970s.
00:06:02.080 But why?
00:06:03.220 ABC's Trevor Ault has this report.
00:06:04.720 Dr. Shanna Swan is an environmental and reproductive epidemiologist,
00:06:09.760 the author of Countdown, How Our Modern World is Threatening Sperm Counts,
00:06:14.260 Altering Male and Female Reproductive Development,
00:06:17.080 and Imperiling the Future of the Human Race.
00:06:19.500 Her team collected and analyzed nearly 200 studies of more than 40,000 men,
00:06:25.440 and they found in Western countries from 1973 to 2011,
00:06:29.040 the average sperm count decreased from 99 million per milliliter to 47 million,
00:06:35.700 a drop of more than 50% and a pace that, if it were to continue, could have an enormous impact.
00:06:42.460 Is that as alarming as it would seem to be?
00:06:45.500 It's very alarming.
00:06:46.600 It sounds like a lot of sperm, 47 million.
00:06:49.960 Alarming, yeah.
00:06:50.760 I mean, the title of the book says it's imperiling the future of the human race, which it is.
00:06:55.680 I mean, these are the kinds of problems that are rarely talked about,
00:07:00.320 especially among the political class.
00:07:02.860 And yet, the future of humanity actually hangs in the balance.
00:07:09.220 Sperm counts are down, and with it, so is libido.
00:07:11.620 A recent Pew study found that 63% of men under the age of 30 are single.
00:07:16.640 Now, for comparison, just a few years ago, in 2019, that number was 51%.
00:07:21.040 So it was very high back then, just a few years ago, and now it's even higher.
00:07:26.000 And these are post-COVID numbers from Pew also, so this isn't because of social distancing or whatever.
00:07:31.300 Millions of young men don't want to date, or at least they aren't dating, even if they want to.
00:07:37.200 The relatively few men who are dating and getting married are now doing it much later in life.
00:07:41.080 According to the Wall Street Journal, from 1990 to 2019,
00:07:43.140 the percentage of people who get married in middle age has increased by nearly 75% for women and 45% for men.
00:07:50.880 The consequences are what you'd expect.
00:07:52.980 When people get married later in life, as their fertility declines, birth rates drop.
00:07:58.980 And they have.
00:07:59.640 In the 1970s, the average number of children born per woman in the United States was three.
00:08:04.520 Now that average number is less than two.
00:08:06.560 In fact, in 2021, the birth rate was just 1.6 births per woman, which is half of what it was in the 1950s.
00:08:14.820 Now that is well below replacement level, meaning if this trend continues indefinitely,
00:08:19.920 the U.S. population will eventually die out completely.
00:08:23.460 The only reason that overall population numbers are holding steady in this country is due to immigration.
00:08:28.100 The native U.S. population in this country is dying out and being replaced by people imported from other parts of the world.
00:08:35.720 Given the scale of this operation, you might even say that this is a great replacement.
00:08:42.200 You aren't supposed to say that, of course, but the truth is the truth, regardless.
00:08:46.520 How big of a role is the decline in testosterone playing in this?
00:08:49.400 Well, you'll see a lot of news reports claiming that it's not playing a role at all.
00:08:53.200 They're saying people don't want children anymore.
00:08:55.920 But that's not really true.
00:08:56.860 As the UNC Carolina Population Center found this year, quote,
00:09:00.920 birth rates are falling in the United States, but it isn't because Americans say they want fewer kids.
00:09:04.940 In fact, young Americans haven't changed the number of children they intend to have in decades, which is very interesting.
00:09:12.460 So the explanation is not that human nature has changed.
00:09:17.060 Gallup wasn't wrong all those years.
00:09:19.100 Human beings still fundamentally desire the same things they always have.
00:09:24.600 The explanation then has to be something else.
00:09:26.620 And if you go back to that ABC report we just played, they interview someone who says that she has found the culprit.
00:09:32.340 Watch.
00:09:32.640 Dr. Swan says certain chemicals pervasive in our environment are also having an impact.
00:09:39.860 They're called endocrine disrupting chemicals.
00:09:43.080 These chemicals are found in products many of us use every day, from things like electronics to plastics, even cosmetics and food packaging.
00:09:50.760 Dr. Patricia Hunt, a geneticist at Washington State University, studied their impact and their prevalence.
00:09:57.680 The reason they're called that is because they have the ability to mimic or interfere with our body's hormones.
00:10:03.600 These chemicals can alter the formation of organs and organ systems in the fetus and change behavior and influence things like our reproductive ability.
00:10:13.600 Is it even possible to avoid them, or are they that pervasive that it's kind of a foregone conclusion?
00:10:18.760 It is impossible to avoid them.
00:10:20.560 So the explanation for declining sperm counts, according to that researcher in the clip, is that there are chemicals in the products that are impossible to avoid.
00:10:29.840 It's a foregone conclusion that fertility is declining.
00:10:32.540 You just have to accept it as the price you pay to live in a modern society with things like grocery stores and, you know, cell phones and shampoo bottles.
00:10:39.800 There's no need for personal responsibility whatsoever.
00:10:43.220 It's just the way things are, we're told.
00:10:45.580 Now, to be fair to that researcher, there probably are chemicals in many products that are affecting male fertility.
00:10:50.720 We're ingesting a lot of chemicals that we shouldn't be ingesting, and that's a problem in its own right.
00:10:55.340 But as a complete explanation for what we're seeing, intuitively, it doesn't make the most sense.
00:11:00.800 Like, it remains the case that if you, even if you're eating what everybody else is eating, if you spend a lot of time outside in the sun, instead of staying inside staring at a screen all day, you'll be more alert, more focused, more engaged.
00:11:13.000 Everyone knows that.
00:11:14.140 That's because the sun stimulates your pituitary gland, releasing hormones that stimulate testosterone production.
00:11:20.360 So if we can have that kind of impact on our testosterone levels just by going outside, what else can we do?
00:11:26.700 There's new research showing that, actually, there is one simple trick that more young men could try and should.
00:11:34.780 If they want to preserve their testosterone, they can start by putting down the porn, turning off the porn.
00:11:41.700 Putting the phone down altogether, really, is a good start.
00:11:44.700 And if our political leaders wanted to take a serious step to increase fertility rates, by the same token, they could start passing laws to help free the population,
00:11:52.700 especially the young male population, from the stranglehold that the porn industry has on it.
00:11:59.080 Of course, no public health expert, quote unquote, in America would ever run a study supporting that conclusion.
00:12:04.140 So this research comes from the journal Frontiers in Endocrinology, where researchers in China have put together an article called
00:12:10.600 Pornography Use Could Lead to Addiction and Was Associated with Reproductive Hormone Levels and Semen Quality.
00:12:15.560 The researchers studied hundreds of college students, and they separated the students who had exposure to pornography in early adolescence from those who hadn't.
00:12:24.480 And the study found that, quote, early pornography exposure was associated with lower adult FSH, progesterone and prolactin levels in serum.
00:12:33.200 And that's significant because normal prolactin levels are necessary to maintain a normal level of testosterone.
00:12:37.760 Therefore, as the researchers put it, quote, pornography use at an early stage may affect the function of the HPG access and subsequently affect the secretion of steroid hormones,
00:12:47.400 such as estrogen, androgen, prolactin and progesterone, eventually affecting semen quality.
00:12:53.200 These effects were not temporary.
00:12:54.640 The researchers found that, quote, earlier contact to pornography might lead to the disturbance of sexual hormone secretion and therefore lead to lower sperm concentration in adult semen.
00:13:04.040 This is one of the many reasons that they banned pornography in China.
00:13:07.480 So the question is, have you ever heard of this study?
00:13:10.560 Probably not.
00:13:11.760 Because outside of The Sun and The New York Post, which both reported on the study over the weekend,
00:13:16.260 it's hard to find a single publication in any country that's talking about the effects of pornography on testosterone production.
00:13:24.260 No politician is saying a word about it.
00:13:27.000 And again, that's odd, seeing as these findings relate to an issue that 90% of Americans care about, which is fertility.
00:13:32.000 Not to mention human society fundamentally depends on fertility in order to increase, in order to continue existing.
00:13:39.180 So I'd say it's pretty important for that reason alone.
00:13:42.460 And it's not just porn.
00:13:43.660 There's good reason to believe that any kind of antisocial activity involving a screen will have a negative impact on your body.
00:13:50.520 We can assume that staring at social media on your phone all day doesn't help your testosterone levels either.
00:13:56.600 Same for sitting around and watching TV all day, binging Netflix, playing video games or whatever else.
00:14:01.440 It seems to be pretty intuitive.
00:14:03.920 And for some reason, medical experts haven't made that connection.
00:14:07.820 All the senators and congressmen who want to ban TikTok haven't made that connection either.
00:14:12.900 But it's obviously there.
00:14:15.800 The only real solution here lies not with those politicians or public health experts.
00:14:20.300 After all, you know, I've been far too generous to these people by saying that they haven't noticed the drop in fertility rates
00:14:26.300 and how it's connected to rampant porn use or they don't care about it.
00:14:30.920 In truth, of course, many of them have noticed it and they're happy about it.
00:14:35.160 The system wants young people, young men in particular, to be numb, satiated, neutered.
00:14:43.960 Because men who are aware and proactive, men who go out and start families and have lots of kids,
00:14:51.600 these men are threats to the system.
00:14:54.320 They're harder for the powers that be to control.
00:14:56.920 And they raise children who are the same.
00:14:58.740 And that's why young men need to realize that what they were told was just mere harmless distractions
00:15:07.500 were in fact hindering them at a biological level from doing what they most wanted in life.
00:15:15.180 And now they have to pull themselves out of the digital porn-laced fog that they're in
00:15:20.360 and live a real life with real responsibilities and real relationships.
00:15:25.380 That's the only antidote.
00:15:28.000 And it means pursuing marriage and family life and pursuing it early in adulthood.
00:15:34.460 The overwhelming majority of Americans, that's what they desire.
00:15:37.620 They've always desired that.
00:15:39.820 And contrary to what they've been told over and over again, they can still have it.
00:15:44.160 Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:16:56.000 So we are T-minus two days from the sacred high holiday of Pride Month,
00:17:01.460 the most important time on the calendar.
00:17:04.000 Not the only important time, of course.
00:17:06.260 You know, I mean, don't be ridiculous.
00:17:07.800 There are other days and other months that matter,
00:17:11.480 such as Bisexual Health Awareness Month and International Transgender Day of Visibility
00:17:16.860 and National LGBT Health Awareness Week and National Transgender HIV Testing Day.
00:17:22.740 And, I mean, obviously, Non-Binary Parents Day,
00:17:26.500 Lesbian Visibility Day, International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia.
00:17:31.200 I mean, of course, Harvey Milk Day,
00:17:33.340 Pansexual and Pan-Romantic Awareness and Visibility Day,
00:17:36.340 Non-Binary Awareness Week, International Drag Day,
00:17:40.440 LGBTQ History Month, not to be confused with Pride Month,
00:17:43.500 International Lesbian Day, National Coming Out Day,
00:17:46.140 National Latinx HIV Awareness Day,
00:17:48.480 National LGBT Center Awareness Day,
00:17:50.880 Asexual Awareness Week is obviously an important one,
00:17:52.720 International Pronouns Day,
00:17:54.300 Transgender Parent Day, Pansexual Pride Day,
00:17:56.940 and, of course, Gay Uncles Day.
00:17:58.860 Those days are all separate from Pride Month,
00:18:02.260 and they're all really important.
00:18:03.720 But Pride Month is the most important of all.
00:18:07.640 And we know we need special, specific days set aside
00:18:11.260 to celebrate LGBT people at least every other week.
00:18:16.100 Okay?
00:18:16.300 So, like, every two weeks we need to have a special day.
00:18:19.780 We cannot let two entire weeks go by
00:18:23.260 without throwing a parade for LGBT people
00:18:26.140 and giving them a standing ovation
00:18:27.760 and telling them how special they are.
00:18:29.420 If they have to endure even just three weeks
00:18:33.200 of not being specially celebrated,
00:18:36.140 they will die.
00:18:37.340 They will die.
00:18:38.360 It will be a massacre.
00:18:39.520 It will be a genocide.
00:18:41.600 Can you imagine?
00:18:42.620 Can you imagine going a month?
00:18:44.000 What if we had to go a month?
00:18:45.180 What if LGBT people had to go an entire month
00:18:47.880 without having one single day
00:18:50.500 where everybody spent all day
00:18:52.700 telling them how great they are?
00:18:54.960 It's unimaginable.
00:18:57.200 It would be a holocaust is what it would be.
00:19:02.940 And that's why Pride Month is so important.
00:19:05.280 And that's also why another company
00:19:06.960 is getting in on the action.
00:19:08.060 Daily Wire reports, quote,
00:19:09.380 Kohl's has joined Target and Bud Light
00:19:11.260 in the group of companies
00:19:12.580 ripped for their woke products
00:19:14.640 as the retailer is being slammed
00:19:15.900 for selling LGBTQ clothing for infants.
00:19:19.420 To celebrate Pride Month in June,
00:19:21.100 Kohl's is selling onesies
00:19:22.340 with the LGBTQ Pride flag on them.
00:19:25.540 The company's merchandise includes
00:19:26.820 the Baby Sonoma Community Pride bodysuit set,
00:19:30.560 which sells for $9.99.
00:19:32.480 The product's description reads, quote,
00:19:34.140 celebrate the joy that comes from living authentically
00:19:36.340 and unapologetically during Pride Month
00:19:38.280 and all year long
00:19:39.360 with this Baby Sonoma Community Pride bodysuit set.
00:19:43.040 The onesie sold in the store for infants
00:19:44.840 as young as three months
00:19:46.000 features adults and children
00:19:47.220 marching and carrying an LGBTQ flag.
00:19:50.540 So that's what Kohl's is doing.
00:19:55.960 And this is, again,
00:19:57.260 these are products for babies.
00:19:59.340 And it's also worth noting
00:20:03.160 because there are some who are trying to excuse this.
00:20:05.880 Well, it's just, you know,
00:20:07.440 they're not supporting transing the kids or anything.
00:20:11.040 It's just the Pride flag.
00:20:13.600 And even if that is all that it is,
00:20:16.640 it's still horrifically wrong
00:20:18.720 to turn your baby into, like,
00:20:22.160 an advertisement for LGBT pride.
00:20:25.720 But that's not all that it is, by the way,
00:20:27.480 because the flags that they're adorning
00:20:30.120 these baby onesies with,
00:20:33.100 these are the latest iteration of the Pride flag
00:20:36.460 with the trans on it.
00:20:38.060 So these are trans Pride flags
00:20:40.040 that we're putting on babies.
00:20:42.860 No matter how you slice it,
00:20:45.680 this is disgusting and wrong.
00:20:48.440 And if you're wondering why they're doing this,
00:20:51.020 I think that should be clear.
00:20:52.580 But over the weekend,
00:20:53.800 a comedian named Tim Heidecker
00:20:55.580 sent out a tweet that kind of went viral
00:20:57.960 and he was directing it at me
00:20:59.580 and at others as well.
00:21:01.520 And I think this tweet was meant to
00:21:03.420 oppose me or debunk my points or whatever,
00:21:06.740 but it only accomplished the opposite.
00:21:08.160 So here's what he said.
00:21:11.160 He tweeted,
00:21:11.820 You dumb mother effer,
00:21:14.240 Matt Walsh,
00:21:15.040 exposing kids to LGBTQ plus
00:21:17.400 is the point.
00:21:19.080 Normalize this stuff now for them
00:21:20.820 and they won't be so confused,
00:21:22.520 repressed,
00:21:23.100 isolated from the modern world as adults.
00:21:24.980 Grow up and join the 20th century,
00:21:26.720 you total losers.
00:21:29.660 Okay.
00:21:30.780 Well,
00:21:31.500 first of all, Tim,
00:21:33.340 I don't mean to be pedantic here,
00:21:35.080 but I should note
00:21:35.860 it is the 21st century.
00:21:37.780 So just a general rule of thumb
00:21:39.980 is that you need to know
00:21:40.980 what century you're in
00:21:42.080 if you want to dunk on someone,
00:21:44.580 especially if you're telling them
00:21:45.840 to stay up with the times
00:21:47.060 and then you don't know
00:21:49.400 what century we're in.
00:21:50.600 So you're dunking on me
00:21:51.780 back in the 90s
00:21:52.760 and I'm playing in 2023,
00:21:55.060 so there's a little bit
00:21:55.680 of a disconnect here.
00:21:57.320 Second,
00:21:57.960 I'm glad that you're finally
00:22:00.460 admitting the truth.
00:22:01.600 And here, again,
00:22:02.660 we see the familiar flight path
00:22:04.860 of progressivism
00:22:05.680 and we've been through this many times
00:22:06.860 because this is the way
00:22:07.520 that it always goes.
00:22:08.980 First,
00:22:09.940 you know,
00:22:10.240 they deny it.
00:22:11.440 So it starts with conservatives
00:22:13.280 pointing out
00:22:14.780 that the left is doing something
00:22:16.240 and that's all,
00:22:17.960 that's all we're doing
00:22:18.620 is pointing it out.
00:22:19.280 We're saying,
00:22:19.680 oh, look at the left,
00:22:20.300 they're doing this.
00:22:22.120 And then at first,
00:22:23.500 the left,
00:22:23.820 they'll deny this,
00:22:24.580 oh, we're not doing that.
00:22:25.940 What,
00:22:26.440 normalizing LGBT?
00:22:27.780 This is not,
00:22:28.400 it's not what this is about.
00:22:29.300 What are you talking about?
00:22:31.320 And then they'll admit it,
00:22:32.440 but they'll say,
00:22:32.920 yeah, it's a rare,
00:22:33.660 it's rare,
00:22:34.220 it's fringe,
00:22:35.100 you know,
00:22:35.360 it's like,
00:22:35.820 okay,
00:22:36.060 it's happening sometimes,
00:22:37.360 but it's not a big deal.
00:22:39.600 And then they go from that
00:22:40.980 to saying,
00:22:41.820 okay,
00:22:42.080 it is happening
00:22:42.840 and it's happening a lot
00:22:44.080 and it's good
00:22:45.180 and it should happen more often.
00:22:48.360 That's,
00:22:48.760 that's phase three.
00:22:50.180 That's not the final phase.
00:22:51.620 Phase four is to mandate it.
00:22:54.280 So we go from not happening.
00:22:56.060 Okay,
00:22:56.260 it's happening sometimes.
00:22:57.440 Okay,
00:22:57.680 it's happening a lot
00:22:58.320 and it's good
00:22:58.820 to yes,
00:23:00.020 it's happening
00:23:00.480 and it has to happen
00:23:01.460 and you have to participate too.
00:23:02.800 We're actually on that step now.
00:23:06.120 The,
00:23:06.260 the mandating it step
00:23:07.500 is happening right now.
00:23:09.060 So Tim is still behind the times.
00:23:11.180 He's,
00:23:11.720 he's stuck on phase three.
00:23:13.020 We've already moved on to phase four.
00:23:14.260 He's on,
00:23:14.980 he's on phase three
00:23:16.260 in the 1990s
00:23:17.600 and we're already all way,
00:23:19.900 we're past phase four,
00:23:21.000 if anything.
00:23:21.380 But should we be trying
00:23:24.480 to normalize
00:23:25.960 different kinds
00:23:26.740 of sexual preferences
00:23:27.640 and gender identities
00:23:28.900 for children?
00:23:31.100 Should we be doing that?
00:23:32.300 That is what we're doing.
00:23:34.340 Tim admits it.
00:23:36.400 Some on the left admit it.
00:23:37.660 Many of them admit it now.
00:23:40.300 Should we be doing it?
00:23:41.900 Well,
00:23:42.300 obviously not.
00:23:43.300 To any normal person,
00:23:44.620 they can see
00:23:45.760 that the answer is no,
00:23:46.960 obviously not.
00:23:47.720 What should we do
00:23:50.400 with LGBT identities
00:23:53.360 as it pertains to kids?
00:23:55.380 Here's what we do.
00:23:56.660 Nothing.
00:23:58.220 Okay.
00:23:58.520 You leave the kids alone.
00:24:00.240 Just leave them alone
00:24:01.660 and let them be kids.
00:24:03.380 Let them be children.
00:24:05.480 That is the correct response here.
00:24:08.240 But at least we're getting
00:24:09.180 a little bit of honesty.
00:24:11.200 Similar
00:24:11.660 subject
00:24:13.220 as we move on to the next.
00:24:15.360 Ted Cruz posted something yesterday
00:24:17.120 that got a lot of attention
00:24:18.180 and that I have to say
00:24:19.540 I disagree with.
00:24:20.960 He was reacting to
00:24:22.440 this story from
00:24:23.420 the New York Times.
00:24:24.260 The story says this.
00:24:26.300 This is their caption.
00:24:28.340 The president of Uganda
00:24:29.160 signed a punitive
00:24:30.080 anti-gay bill
00:24:31.240 on Monday
00:24:31.700 that includes
00:24:32.260 the death penalty
00:24:33.200 enshrining into law
00:24:34.200 and an intensifying
00:24:35.560 crackdown
00:24:36.160 against LGBTQ people
00:24:37.420 in the East African nation.
00:24:39.360 It's one of the world's
00:24:40.080 most restrictive
00:24:40.820 anti-gay measures.
00:24:43.040 Now,
00:24:43.700 here's the response
00:24:44.460 from Ted Cruz,
00:24:45.380 which is very interesting.
00:24:48.380 He says,
00:24:49.220 this Uganda law
00:24:49.940 is horrific and wrong.
00:24:51.200 Any law criminalizing
00:24:52.180 homosexuality
00:24:53.200 or imposing
00:24:53.780 the death penalty
00:24:54.500 for aggravated homosexuality
00:24:56.160 is grotesque
00:24:57.460 and an abomination.
00:24:59.040 All civilized nations
00:25:00.040 should join together
00:25:01.020 in condemning
00:25:01.900 this human rights abuse.
00:25:04.180 And then Cruz adds
00:25:04.960 the hashtag
00:25:05.640 LGBTQ.
00:25:07.840 Hashtag
00:25:08.360 LGBTQ.
00:25:08.960 Now,
00:25:13.940 Cruz dropped the ball here
00:25:14.860 and I'll give
00:25:15.460 two reasons.
00:25:17.620 First is the big one.
00:25:20.500 That he is,
00:25:21.600 I assume,
00:25:22.420 inadvertently
00:25:23.340 promoting
00:25:25.860 and going along
00:25:26.720 with
00:25:27.180 misinformation
00:25:28.640 from the New York Times.
00:25:31.240 And it's
00:25:31.860 misinformation
00:25:33.140 in the form of
00:25:34.180 being misleading
00:25:34.940 in your headline,
00:25:36.220 saying something
00:25:37.280 that's technically true
00:25:38.840 but leaves out
00:25:40.760 really important details.
00:25:42.840 And as always,
00:25:43.900 if you
00:25:44.340 click on the article
00:25:45.720 and you read
00:25:46.580 like six or seven
00:25:47.300 paragraphs down,
00:25:48.960 you'll find
00:25:49.760 the rest of the information
00:25:50.900 but most people
00:25:51.540 don't do that.
00:25:52.280 They're just going
00:25:52.920 to see the headline.
00:25:54.040 They're going to see
00:25:54.540 the caption on Twitter.
00:25:55.580 That's all they're going to see.
00:25:56.760 That's all they care about seeing.
00:25:58.340 They're going to form
00:25:58.880 their conclusions
00:25:59.460 and they're going to
00:26:00.460 go forth
00:26:01.120 and tell other people
00:26:02.120 about what they
00:26:03.660 think they know
00:26:05.060 based on
00:26:05.760 the headline
00:26:06.320 that they read.
00:26:07.900 So in this case,
00:26:09.440 it is true
00:26:10.500 that the crime
00:26:12.940 of aggravated
00:26:13.840 homosexuality
00:26:14.760 in Uganda
00:26:15.340 carries the death penalty.
00:26:17.140 That's a factual statement.
00:26:20.240 But what the New York Times
00:26:21.600 leaves out
00:26:22.300 and what for some reason
00:26:23.380 Ted Cruz left out
00:26:24.460 as well
00:26:24.940 is that
00:26:26.220 aggravated homosexuality
00:26:28.380 in Ugandan law
00:26:29.580 refers to rape.
00:26:32.040 Okay, so
00:26:32.480 raping a child
00:26:35.360 gets the death penalty
00:26:37.380 gets the death penalty.
00:26:38.500 A disabled person
00:26:39.940 you know
00:26:41.420 anyone who
00:26:42.240 can't consent
00:26:43.240 a person who's
00:26:44.280 unconscious
00:26:44.760 they also
00:26:45.800 list.
00:26:47.880 That's what it is.
00:26:50.520 Is that
00:26:51.320 now
00:26:51.740 there are people
00:26:53.240 who
00:26:53.680 disagree
00:26:54.580 with the idea
00:26:55.520 that we should put
00:26:56.500 child rapists
00:26:57.720 to death.
00:26:58.360 I don't know
00:26:59.780 if Ted Cruz
00:27:00.260 disagrees
00:27:00.680 with that
00:27:00.980 or not
00:27:01.340 but
00:27:03.000 there are
00:27:05.480 many people
00:27:06.480 who would say
00:27:08.060 yeah, that's exactly
00:27:08.760 what we ought to be doing.
00:27:09.640 I'm one of them.
00:27:13.820 And either way
00:27:14.980 that is what
00:27:15.880 we're talking about.
00:27:17.580 It is the death penalty
00:27:19.040 for child rapists
00:27:20.820 in Uganda.
00:27:22.940 And when it comes
00:27:23.640 to that part of it
00:27:24.400 when it comes
00:27:27.000 to that
00:27:27.500 aspect of it
00:27:28.500 they have a better
00:27:29.220 sense of justice
00:27:29.820 than we do.
00:27:30.640 This should be
00:27:31.320 happening everywhere.
00:27:32.660 Of course
00:27:32.920 child rapists
00:27:33.420 should be put to death.
00:27:36.360 The idea
00:27:37.240 that
00:27:37.780 you can only
00:27:39.320 put someone
00:27:39.940 to death
00:27:40.620 if they also
00:27:42.560 kill their victim
00:27:43.640 is
00:27:44.340 it's absurd
00:27:45.320 really.
00:27:46.360 It's an absurd idea.
00:27:49.660 What like
00:27:50.060 child rape
00:27:51.240 you haven't done
00:27:51.780 enough damage
00:27:52.860 already?
00:27:53.480 Like
00:27:53.600 we need
00:27:54.580 the murder
00:27:55.000 charge
00:27:55.400 on top of it
00:27:55.900 to justify
00:27:56.440 the death penalty?
00:27:58.620 The death penalty
00:27:59.480 is reserved
00:28:00.240 or should be
00:28:01.100 reserved
00:28:01.500 for the worst
00:28:03.260 crimes.
00:28:05.000 Just the worst
00:28:06.100 and most heinous
00:28:06.800 crimes
00:28:07.220 whatever they happen
00:28:07.900 to be
00:28:08.080 if they involve
00:28:08.700 killing someone
00:28:09.540 oftentimes
00:28:10.480 they do
00:28:11.080 but not always.
00:28:12.600 There are certain
00:28:13.500 crimes that qualify
00:28:14.820 that would go
00:28:16.500 into that category
00:28:17.320 of being the worst
00:28:18.520 and most heinous
00:28:19.520 and I would hope
00:28:21.340 that most people
00:28:22.160 would agree
00:28:22.940 that child rape
00:28:23.940 is in that category
00:28:25.100 and so it ought
00:28:26.380 to be eligible
00:28:27.080 for the death penalty.
00:28:30.200 That's what
00:28:30.760 that part of the
00:28:31.280 Ugandan law
00:28:31.900 stipulates
00:28:32.900 and if you're
00:28:34.140 not including
00:28:35.120 that
00:28:35.540 in your
00:28:36.900 summary of the law
00:28:38.240 if you're not
00:28:38.600 including it
00:28:39.120 in a caption
00:28:39.620 if you're not
00:28:39.920 including it
00:28:40.280 in the headline
00:28:40.660 it is a
00:28:41.280 dishonest headline
00:28:42.180 it is intentionally
00:28:43.240 misleading
00:28:43.640 and again
00:28:44.280 it doesn't matter
00:28:45.320 if you then
00:28:46.580 go on
00:28:47.180 to reveal
00:28:48.060 that bit
00:28:48.480 of information
00:28:49.040 later
00:28:49.660 deeper
00:28:50.060 in the article
00:28:50.620 where no one's
00:28:51.300 actually going
00:28:51.680 to read it.
00:28:53.860 The second point
00:28:54.660 for all the rest
00:28:55.280 of it
00:28:55.580 because yeah
00:28:57.000 that's not the only
00:28:57.560 thing that the law
00:28:58.080 does but
00:28:58.700 for the rest
00:29:00.160 of it
00:29:00.440 it's none
00:29:01.780 of our business.
00:29:03.100 Like why is this
00:29:03.820 our business?
00:29:05.360 Why does Ted Cruz
00:29:06.300 feel the need
00:29:06.760 to say anything
00:29:07.800 about it
00:29:08.160 or get involved?
00:29:10.740 I mean
00:29:10.880 doesn't Uganda
00:29:11.800 have the right
00:29:12.420 to make their own
00:29:13.120 laws
00:29:13.500 according to
00:29:15.040 their own
00:29:15.600 culture
00:29:16.580 and their own
00:29:17.340 value systems?
00:29:18.180 We don't have
00:29:19.820 to agree
00:29:20.080 with it.
00:29:22.300 It doesn't
00:29:22.940 have to
00:29:24.040 pass the
00:29:25.360 litmus test
00:29:26.280 by our
00:29:27.360 standards.
00:29:29.700 There are
00:29:30.280 a lot of
00:29:30.800 laws
00:29:31.240 and there are
00:29:31.580 a lot of
00:29:31.920 things happening
00:29:32.680 in this
00:29:33.060 country
00:29:33.400 that other
00:29:34.340 countries will
00:29:34.920 look at
00:29:35.400 and in
00:29:36.340 horror
00:29:36.780 and I
00:29:38.140 know this
00:29:38.760 because as
00:29:40.180 we come up
00:29:40.560 on the
00:29:40.800 one year
00:29:41.140 anniversary
00:29:41.460 of what
00:29:41.660 is woman
00:29:41.940 I know
00:29:43.140 this because
00:29:43.660 as you know
00:29:44.340 if you watch
00:29:44.680 that movie
00:29:45.060 we went
00:29:45.940 to other
00:29:46.800 parts of
00:29:47.180 the world
00:29:47.540 to tell
00:29:49.100 them about
00:29:49.400 some of
00:29:49.620 the things
00:29:49.860 happening
00:29:50.160 here and
00:29:50.680 they were
00:29:51.060 horrified by
00:29:51.800 it.
00:29:53.380 So I'm
00:29:54.160 guessing and
00:29:54.940 we didn't
00:29:55.160 go to
00:29:55.400 Uganda we
00:29:55.820 went to
00:29:56.080 Kenya but
00:29:56.640 I'm really
00:30:00.080 guessing that
00:30:00.800 if I went
00:30:02.000 to Uganda
00:30:02.520 if anyone
00:30:02.940 went to
00:30:03.240 Uganda and
00:30:03.800 told them
00:30:04.300 that you
00:30:05.900 know what
00:30:06.280 happens in
00:30:06.600 America they
00:30:07.500 sterilize and
00:30:08.660 castrate
00:30:09.300 children to
00:30:10.400 try to turn
00:30:10.820 them into the
00:30:11.260 opposite sex
00:30:12.040 and that it's
00:30:13.420 legal to do
00:30:14.260 that in
00:30:15.000 most states
00:30:17.000 in America
00:30:17.360 if you were
00:30:18.060 to tell
00:30:18.560 Uganda about
00:30:19.680 that people
00:30:20.640 in Uganda
00:30:21.060 they would
00:30:23.220 be horrified
00:30:23.760 they would
00:30:24.260 condemn it
00:30:24.800 I'm sure
00:30:26.180 there are
00:30:26.420 political leaders
00:30:26.920 in that
00:30:27.080 country that
00:30:27.420 have condemned
00:30:27.940 it and
00:30:28.820 are aware
00:30:29.240 of it
00:30:29.580 well is
00:30:31.120 anyone in
00:30:31.560 America
00:30:31.960 I mean the
00:30:32.540 people who
00:30:32.880 support the
00:30:35.000 butchering and
00:30:35.540 castration and
00:30:36.160 mutilation of
00:30:36.640 children in
00:30:37.280 this country
00:30:37.700 do they care
00:30:39.460 what Uganda
00:30:40.300 says about
00:30:40.880 it
00:30:41.300 I mean if
00:30:43.400 all the
00:30:43.640 African nations
00:30:44.300 get together
00:30:44.840 and condemn
00:30:45.620 the mutilation
00:30:46.180 of children
00:30:46.640 is that going
00:30:47.180 to persuade
00:30:48.500 the US
00:30:49.020 to change
00:30:49.740 its laws
00:30:50.280 I doubt
00:30:50.920 it
00:30:51.180 so why
00:30:52.860 should it
00:30:53.120 go the
00:30:53.340 reverse
00:30:53.700 and the
00:30:54.940 other thing
00:30:55.220 is look
00:30:55.520 it's just
00:30:55.940 the
00:30:56.180 it's just
00:30:58.060 simple fact
00:30:58.640 that because
00:30:59.160 of this
00:30:59.680 sort of
00:30:59.980 thing
00:31:00.240 because of
00:31:01.220 what we
00:31:01.480 do to
00:31:01.780 children
00:31:02.200 because we
00:31:04.040 are confused
00:31:05.120 when I say
00:31:06.240 we I mean
00:31:06.800 like societally
00:31:08.120 confused about
00:31:10.340 basic facts
00:31:11.500 like the
00:31:11.760 definition of
00:31:12.340 men and
00:31:12.620 women and
00:31:13.480 we're butchering
00:31:14.280 and mutilating
00:31:14.820 kids in the
00:31:16.580 womb and
00:31:17.000 outside of
00:31:17.520 it and we're
00:31:17.920 doing all
00:31:18.200 this we
00:31:19.920 just don't
00:31:20.440 we don't
00:31:20.800 have the
00:31:21.120 moral high
00:31:21.540 ground
00:31:21.820 I'm just
00:31:24.660 telling you the
00:31:25.080 facts in the
00:31:26.280 African countries
00:31:27.220 they look at
00:31:27.780 us and they
00:31:28.280 hear us
00:31:28.720 sermonizing about
00:31:30.100 oh that's not
00:31:31.140 right they just
00:31:32.280 don't care
00:31:32.880 because they see
00:31:34.540 what else is
00:31:34.960 going on here
00:31:35.420 and they say
00:31:35.660 what are we
00:31:35.920 going to listen
00:31:36.180 to those
00:31:36.380 people for
00:31:36.820 what the hell
00:31:38.880 do they know
00:31:39.380 oh you mean
00:31:42.340 those people
00:31:42.760 over there
00:31:43.240 who think
00:31:43.640 that men
00:31:44.160 can have
00:31:44.580 babies
00:31:45.180 they're upset
00:31:45.980 about this
00:31:46.520 law
00:31:46.800 what do we
00:31:47.660 care about
00:31:47.960 that
00:31:48.260 we don't
00:31:48.780 care about
00:31:49.120 that
00:31:49.540 they're
00:31:50.420 insane
00:31:50.980 you know
00:31:53.120 you travel
00:31:53.780 across the
00:31:54.220 Atlanta
00:31:54.460 you go over
00:31:54.820 to that
00:31:55.020 country
00:31:55.240 it's like
00:31:56.300 a mass
00:31:56.880 hysteria
00:31:58.000 has gripped
00:31:58.380 a hold of
00:31:58.680 the entire
00:31:58.980 country
00:31:59.320 from the
00:31:59.720 perspective
00:32:00.060 of people
00:32:00.420 outside
00:32:00.780 and from
00:32:02.840 the perspective
00:32:03.200 of some
00:32:03.500 of us
00:32:03.720 inside the
00:32:04.140 country
00:32:04.340 it seems
00:32:04.660 to be
00:32:04.880 happening
00:32:05.180 that way
00:32:05.600 so that's
00:32:07.140 why it
00:32:07.360 just doesn't
00:32:07.720 matter to
00:32:08.120 them
00:32:08.300 and I
00:32:09.000 would say
00:32:09.260 we have
00:32:09.520 enough
00:32:09.760 problems
00:32:10.280 in this
00:32:10.580 country
00:32:10.960 in our
00:32:12.300 own
00:32:12.540 society
00:32:13.100 that
00:32:13.940 you know
00:32:14.300 there's
00:32:14.820 enough
00:32:15.240 for us
00:32:15.560 to work
00:32:15.960 on
00:32:16.280 there are
00:32:17.300 enough
00:32:17.540 evils
00:32:18.180 being
00:32:19.200 perpetrated
00:32:19.740 against
00:32:20.000 our own
00:32:20.500 people
00:32:20.900 by our
00:32:22.500 own
00:32:22.680 government
00:32:23.060 and by
00:32:24.780 our own
00:32:25.140 people
00:32:25.420 that we
00:32:26.740 have plenty
00:32:27.180 to condemn
00:32:27.780 and so
00:32:28.480 contrary to
00:32:29.140 Cruz
00:32:29.380 I don't
00:32:29.760 think that
00:32:30.200 civilized
00:32:31.160 nations
00:32:31.580 need to
00:32:32.160 join
00:32:32.500 together
00:32:32.860 in
00:32:33.080 condemning
00:32:33.560 this
00:32:33.740 what does
00:32:35.840 that even
00:32:36.060 mean
00:32:36.300 anymore
00:32:36.640 are we
00:32:38.720 the
00:32:38.880 civilized
00:32:39.260 nation
00:32:39.620 when once
00:32:40.620 again we
00:32:40.940 think that
00:32:41.220 men can
00:32:41.520 have
00:32:41.660 babies
00:32:42.020 give
00:32:44.580 sterilizing
00:32:45.220 drugs to
00:32:45.720 13 year
00:32:46.400 olds
00:32:46.660 that's the
00:32:47.960 civilized
00:32:48.460 nation
00:32:48.820 we're
00:32:50.460 confused
00:32:51.140 about
00:32:51.420 things
00:32:51.920 you could
00:32:52.620 go
00:32:53.000 to an
00:32:53.880 uncontacted
00:32:55.140 primitive
00:32:56.400 tribe
00:32:57.060 in the
00:32:57.380 Amazon
00:32:57.720 where everybody
00:32:58.480 you know
00:32:58.900 where they
00:32:59.220 wear loincloths
00:33:00.360 and they
00:33:01.120 live in
00:33:01.440 they live
00:33:01.760 in mud
00:33:02.120 huts
00:33:02.460 and they
00:33:04.100 don't know
00:33:04.360 about germs
00:33:05.140 you know
00:33:05.480 they don't
00:33:05.740 know about
00:33:06.060 washing
00:33:06.400 their hands
00:33:07.100 and if
00:33:08.720 you went
00:33:08.980 and talked
00:33:09.300 to them
00:33:09.720 they would
00:33:10.600 at least
00:33:11.320 know
00:33:11.940 that
00:33:13.120 men are
00:33:14.060 men and
00:33:14.360 women are
00:33:14.620 women
00:33:14.740 they would
00:33:15.040 know that
00:33:15.500 at least
00:33:15.960 and we
00:33:17.140 don't even
00:33:17.360 know that
00:33:17.820 we're the
00:33:20.220 civilized
00:33:20.600 nation
00:33:20.940 we used
00:33:22.980 to be
00:33:23.360 not sure
00:33:24.740 we claim
00:33:25.060 that anymore
00:33:25.540 and whatever
00:33:26.800 we call
00:33:27.180 ourselves
00:33:27.580 I think
00:33:27.920 we have
00:33:28.100 enough
00:33:28.280 problems
00:33:28.640 that we
00:33:28.880 need to
00:33:29.200 be paying
00:33:29.600 attention
00:33:29.920 to our
00:33:30.480 own
00:33:30.760 business
00:33:31.440 all right
00:33:33.960 Jonah
00:33:35.120 Goldberg
00:33:35.640 is the
00:33:36.100 never
00:33:36.540 Trump
00:33:36.800 conservative
00:33:37.260 guy
00:33:37.700 caught some
00:33:38.160 flack
00:33:38.480 from media
00:33:38.980 matters
00:33:39.360 which is
00:33:39.800 rare for
00:33:40.200 him
00:33:40.360 these
00:33:40.560 days
00:33:40.880 but
00:33:41.220 he
00:33:41.540 got
00:33:41.740 in
00:33:41.900 trouble
00:33:42.340 because
00:33:42.680 during
00:33:43.000 a
00:33:43.160 conversation
00:33:43.700 about
00:33:44.420 the
00:33:44.860 target
00:33:45.220 and
00:33:45.380 Bud
00:33:45.540 Light
00:33:45.720 boycotts
00:33:46.280 he sort
00:33:46.520 of
00:33:46.660 mildly
00:33:47.320 and
00:33:47.600 meekly
00:33:48.060 suggested
00:33:48.600 that
00:33:48.920 maybe
00:33:49.360 the
00:33:50.220 criticisms
00:33:50.700 that
00:33:51.220 some
00:33:52.620 critics
00:33:53.100 of the
00:33:53.500 trans
00:33:54.160 agenda
00:33:54.440 have
00:33:54.800 maybe
00:33:55.980 these
00:33:56.220 criticisms
00:33:56.580 aren't
00:33:56.960 totally
00:33:57.580 unjustified
00:33:58.400 he sort
00:33:59.480 of suggested
00:34:00.140 that
00:34:00.600 media matters
00:34:02.140 didn't like
00:34:02.620 it
00:34:02.840 but I
00:34:03.780 think that
00:34:04.220 the clip
00:34:05.000 is useful
00:34:06.080 to us
00:34:07.280 for a
00:34:07.820 different
00:34:08.040 reason
00:34:08.380 and we
00:34:08.600 can learn
00:34:08.900 something
00:34:09.200 from it
00:34:09.640 let's
00:34:10.140 watch
00:34:10.660 look
00:34:12.100 I hate
00:34:13.280 the whole
00:34:13.560 story
00:34:14.020 because I
00:34:14.480 hate
00:34:14.860 misinformation
00:34:15.320 I hate
00:34:16.060 threats of
00:34:16.600 violence
00:34:16.880 of any
00:34:17.240 kind
00:34:17.600 I have
00:34:17.900 no
00:34:18.060 real
00:34:18.800 problem
00:34:19.100 with
00:34:19.280 boycotts
00:34:19.820 though
00:34:20.140 when they're
00:34:20.780 based on
00:34:21.280 bad info
00:34:22.520 it's a
00:34:22.920 different
00:34:23.100 thing
00:34:23.380 at the
00:34:24.060 same
00:34:24.200 time
00:34:24.380 I think
00:34:24.600 Nayara
00:34:24.880 makes a
00:34:25.240 very good
00:34:25.760 point
00:34:26.080 here
00:34:26.400 probably
00:34:26.740 doesn't
00:34:27.060 agree
00:34:27.220 with my
00:34:27.520 conclusion
00:34:27.880 from it
00:34:28.340 target
00:34:30.200 as your
00:34:30.560 own
00:34:30.680 reporting
00:34:31.000 just
00:34:31.260 said
00:34:31.540 has
00:34:31.920 had
00:34:32.120 LGBTQ
00:34:32.760 stuff
00:34:33.840 for
00:34:34.240 years
00:34:34.820 the
00:34:35.660 issue
00:34:36.000 here
00:34:36.240 for a
00:34:36.540 lot
00:34:36.680 of
00:34:36.800 people
00:34:37.020 is
00:34:37.260 the
00:34:37.420 tea
00:34:37.720 it's
00:34:38.320 not
00:34:38.520 you
00:34:38.660 I don't
00:34:39.300 think
00:34:39.460 there's
00:34:39.620 any
00:34:39.760 such
00:34:39.920 thing
00:34:40.140 as a
00:34:40.380 gay
00:34:40.660 bathing
00:34:41.300 suit
00:34:41.600 or
00:34:42.000 lesbian
00:34:43.240 bathing
00:34:43.580 suit
00:34:43.780 or
00:34:43.860 anything
00:34:44.000 like
00:34:44.160 it
00:34:44.360 but
00:34:44.580 the
00:34:44.740 issue
00:34:45.020 of
00:34:45.260 transgender
00:34:45.700 stuff
00:34:46.220 does
00:34:47.040 rile
00:34:47.440 people
00:34:47.880 up
00:34:48.320 particularly
00:34:49.080 when it
00:34:49.380 has to
00:34:49.620 do
00:34:49.720 with
00:34:49.860 kids
00:34:50.360 and
00:34:50.840 some
00:34:50.980 of
00:34:51.060 the
00:34:51.140 misinformation
00:34:51.500 was
00:34:51.900 based
00:34:52.160 on
00:34:52.420 kids
00:34:52.920 and we
00:34:53.260 should
00:34:53.380 acknowledge
00:34:53.760 that
00:34:54.160 but
00:34:54.880 I
00:34:55.560 think
00:34:55.760 there
00:34:55.940 is
00:34:56.120 a
00:34:56.620 tendency
00:34:57.100 to
00:34:57.640 want
00:34:58.960 to
00:34:59.080 have
00:34:59.260 it
00:34:59.380 both
00:34:59.780 ways
00:35:00.240 where
00:35:00.420 they
00:35:00.540 want
00:35:00.700 to
00:35:00.800 say
00:35:01.020 this
00:35:01.280 is
00:35:01.440 about
00:35:02.760 trans
00:35:03.200 issues
00:35:03.600 but
00:35:03.940 whenever
00:35:04.240 there's
00:35:04.600 criticism
00:35:04.960 about
00:35:05.120 trans
00:35:05.320 issues
00:35:05.540 they
00:35:05.940 fold it
00:35:06.400 in
00:35:06.600 with
00:35:06.880 homophobia
00:35:07.940 and
00:35:08.580 criticism
00:35:08.980 of
00:35:09.220 gays
00:35:09.620 and
00:35:10.100 lesbians
00:35:10.520 and they
00:35:10.740 use the
00:35:10.980 whole
00:35:11.380 alphabet
00:35:12.640 of the
00:35:13.000 acronyms
00:35:13.500 on it
00:35:14.320 and it
00:35:14.960 tends to
00:35:15.680 obscure
00:35:16.080 the fact
00:35:16.560 that there
00:35:16.820 are specific
00:35:17.360 issues
00:35:17.720 having to do
00:35:18.160 with
00:35:18.280 transgenderism
00:35:19.240 that are
00:35:19.780 different
00:35:20.260 than
00:35:20.980 issues
00:35:21.440 having to
00:35:21.780 do
00:35:21.840 with
00:35:21.960 gay
00:35:22.200 marriage
00:35:22.620 and
00:35:22.900 all
00:35:23.220 these
00:35:23.380 other
00:35:23.600 issues
00:35:23.860 that
00:35:24.080 gay
00:35:25.400 Americans
00:35:25.760 have won
00:35:26.480 those
00:35:26.780 battles
00:35:27.160 this is
00:35:27.560 a
00:35:27.700 different
00:35:27.940 battle
00:35:28.380 and
00:35:29.180 we
00:35:29.540 need
00:35:29.680 a little
00:35:29.860 more
00:35:29.980 clarity
00:35:30.260 we
00:35:30.500 just
00:35:30.680 had
00:35:30.820 a
00:35:31.260 segment
00:35:31.540 about
00:35:31.780 anti-semitism
00:35:32.680 well
00:35:33.580 we talk
00:35:34.140 about
00:35:34.260 anti-semitism
00:35:34.940 we don't
00:35:35.200 talk about
00:35:36.020 anti-abrahamic
00:35:37.680 religionism
00:35:38.440 or anti-monotheism
00:35:39.900 because
00:35:40.240 you're talking
00:35:41.440 about a
00:35:41.720 specific
00:35:42.240 group
00:35:42.760 and I
00:35:43.220 think
00:35:43.420 there's
00:35:44.540 a lot
00:35:45.000 of
00:35:45.960 squeamishness
00:35:46.500 about
00:35:46.680 actually
00:35:46.980 talking
00:35:47.320 about
00:35:47.600 why
00:35:47.900 transgenderism
00:35:48.740 is seen
00:35:49.100 as different
00:35:49.600 than these
00:35:50.320 other forms
00:35:51.220 of identity
00:35:51.740 that's a
00:35:52.620 good point
00:35:53.120 go ahead
00:35:54.620 I do
00:35:56.620 think
00:35:56.880 this is
00:35:57.500 a conversation
00:35:57.860 we should
00:35:58.140 have
00:35:58.300 we should
00:35:58.520 probably
00:35:58.760 have
00:35:59.040 a
00:36:00.080 trans person
00:36:00.600 on
00:36:01.020 to have
00:36:01.400 this
00:36:01.540 conversation
00:36:01.980 so
00:36:02.200 sure
00:36:02.480 so
00:36:02.900 so
00:36:03.360 all right
00:36:04.860 so that
00:36:05.760 was
00:36:05.960 the
00:36:07.460 pathetic
00:36:07.960 display
00:36:08.400 all around
00:36:08.840 let's
00:36:11.260 recap
00:36:11.580 first
00:36:12.220 Jonah
00:36:12.580 Goldberg
00:36:13.040 chimes
00:36:13.800 in
00:36:14.040 and
00:36:14.580 and
00:36:15.240 the
00:36:15.380 setup
00:36:15.580 by the
00:36:15.860 way
00:36:16.000 from
00:36:16.160 Jake
00:36:16.400 Tapper
00:36:16.740 is
00:36:17.240 that
00:36:17.480 the
00:36:17.620 target
00:36:17.900 and
00:36:18.060 Bud
00:36:18.220 Light
00:36:18.400 boycotts
00:36:19.080 are
00:36:19.520 so
00:36:19.940 stupid
00:36:20.340 and
00:36:20.860 aren't
00:36:21.160 conservative
00:36:21.600 stupid
00:36:22.080 and
00:36:22.400 the
00:36:22.500 whole
00:36:22.620 issue
00:36:22.860 is
00:36:23.040 stupid
00:36:23.360 and
00:36:23.980 everybody
00:36:24.220 is
00:36:24.520 stupid
00:36:24.820 and
00:36:25.780 and
00:36:26.540 hey
00:36:26.880 Jonah
00:36:27.400 what do
00:36:28.320 you have
00:36:28.500 to say
00:36:28.740 about
00:36:28.920 these
00:36:29.120 stupid
00:36:29.440 people
00:36:29.760 but
00:36:30.980 instead
00:36:31.340 Jonah
00:36:31.760 kind
00:36:32.940 of
00:36:33.300 vaguely
00:36:34.140 pushes
00:36:34.580 back
00:36:35.220 and
00:36:35.500 points
00:36:35.860 out
00:36:36.120 that
00:36:36.400 people
00:36:37.080 have
00:36:37.260 specific
00:36:37.680 criticisms
00:36:38.160 when it
00:36:38.520 comes to
00:36:38.820 the
00:36:38.920 trans
00:36:39.220 stuff
00:36:39.600 and
00:36:39.920 we
00:36:40.060 should
00:36:40.200 be
00:36:40.320 honest
00:36:40.620 about
00:36:40.880 that
00:36:41.200 and
00:36:42.000 then
00:36:42.200 Jake
00:36:42.440 Tapper
00:36:42.780 jumps
00:36:43.120 in
00:36:43.380 stammering
00:36:44.240 terrified
00:36:44.920 he
00:36:46.400 he
00:36:46.420 he
00:36:46.440 didn't
00:36:46.620 realize
00:36:47.100 that
00:36:47.300 his
00:36:47.480 guest
00:36:47.820 would
00:36:48.120 engage
00:36:48.960 in
00:36:49.500 this
00:36:49.740 blasphemy
00:36:50.400 against
00:36:50.780 the
00:36:51.260 holy
00:36:51.500 blessed
00:36:51.860 trans
00:36:52.260 people
00:36:52.560 and
00:36:53.520 then
00:36:53.680 he
00:36:53.800 insists
00:36:54.240 that
00:36:54.580 we
00:36:54.820 shouldn't
00:36:55.000 even
00:36:55.140 have
00:36:55.340 this
00:36:55.480 conversation
00:36:55.960 without
00:36:56.600 having
00:36:57.400 a
00:36:58.120 trans
00:36:58.420 person
00:36:58.720 monitoring
00:36:59.340 it
00:36:59.680 well
00:37:00.560 we
00:37:00.700 need
00:37:01.760 to
00:37:01.840 have
00:37:01.920 a
00:37:02.140 trans
00:37:02.460 monitor
00:37:02.780 we
00:37:03.040 can't
00:37:04.260 even
00:37:04.360 talk
00:37:04.560 about
00:37:04.720 this
00:37:04.940 I'm
00:37:05.500 so
00:37:05.640 sorry
00:37:05.860 that
00:37:06.000 we're
00:37:06.100 talking
00:37:06.320 about
00:37:06.540 this
00:37:06.740 we
00:37:07.140 should
00:37:07.260 have
00:37:07.360 50
00:37:08.780 trans
00:37:09.140 person
00:37:09.420 for
00:37:09.580 every
00:37:09.740 non
00:37:10.040 trans
00:37:10.380 person
00:37:10.680 if
00:37:10.800 we're
00:37:10.860 going
00:37:10.940 to
00:37:11.000 talk
00:37:11.200 about
00:37:11.380 trans
00:37:11.700 people
00:37:12.000 and
00:37:13.440 then
00:37:13.520 he
00:37:13.600 goes
00:37:13.760 to
00:37:13.880 his
00:37:14.000 farther
00:37:15.660 left
00:37:16.020 wing
00:37:16.200 guest
00:37:16.420 who
00:37:17.060 is
00:37:17.240 much
00:37:17.500 safer
00:37:17.980 and
00:37:18.320 says
00:37:18.600 all
00:37:18.760 the
00:37:18.880 talking
00:37:19.140 points
00:37:19.460 that
00:37:19.560 you're
00:37:19.680 supposed
00:37:19.880 to
00:37:20.020 say
00:37:20.180 so
00:37:20.400 that's
00:37:21.500 what
00:37:21.600 happened
00:37:22.000 and
00:37:22.360 two
00:37:29.680 conversation
00:37:30.200 and
00:37:32.580 of
00:37:32.700 course
00:37:32.780 we
00:37:32.920 hear
00:37:33.040 this
00:37:33.180 kind
00:37:33.340 of
00:37:33.400 thing
00:37:33.540 a lot
00:37:33.820 but
00:37:35.620 the
00:37:36.340 answer
00:37:36.580 is
00:37:36.760 no
00:37:37.080 you
00:37:37.380 don't
00:37:37.760 actually
00:37:39.080 trans
00:37:41.680 people
00:37:42.060 are
00:37:42.540 the
00:37:42.900 least
00:37:43.420 qualified
00:37:44.560 to
00:37:45.100 talk
00:37:45.440 about
00:37:45.700 this
00:37:46.060 because
00:37:47.040 they're
00:37:47.320 clearly
00:37:47.680 biased
00:37:48.280 towards
00:37:48.660 validating
00:37:49.380 their
00:37:49.640 own
00:37:50.040 self
00:37:50.420 identities
00:37:50.840 so
00:37:51.540 when
00:37:52.080 we're
00:37:52.200 talking
00:37:52.540 about
00:37:52.800 transgenderism
00:37:53.620 and
00:37:53.780 you
00:37:53.860 have
00:37:53.940 a
00:37:54.040 trans
00:37:54.280 person
00:37:54.500 involved
00:37:54.700 the
00:37:54.820 conversation
00:37:55.200 we
00:37:56.780 know
00:37:57.000 what
00:37:57.180 they're
00:37:57.320 going
00:37:57.500 to
00:37:57.620 say
00:37:57.900 they're
00:37:58.220 trying
00:37:58.460 to
00:37:58.680 validate
00:37:59.140 their
00:37:59.500 own
00:37:59.860 claim
00:38:00.280 that
00:38:00.420 they're
00:38:00.560 making
00:38:00.820 about
00:38:01.040 their
00:38:01.200 own
00:38:01.340 identity
00:38:01.700 and
00:38:03.300 so
00:38:04.140 for
00:38:04.480 that
00:38:04.620 reason
00:38:04.820 the
00:38:04.960 perspective
00:38:05.300 is
00:38:05.460 kind
00:38:05.660 of
00:38:05.840 useless
00:38:06.380 we
00:38:06.940 already
00:38:07.620 know
00:38:07.880 that
00:38:08.240 like
00:38:08.540 we
00:38:08.700 know
00:38:09.060 that
00:38:09.300 so
00:38:09.580 you
00:38:09.740 are
00:38:09.980 okay
00:38:11.060 in order
00:38:11.380 to have
00:38:11.560 this
00:38:11.660 conversation
00:38:11.920 we need
00:38:12.200 to bring
00:38:12.420 someone
00:38:12.680 who
00:38:13.200 is
00:38:13.360 personally
00:38:14.240 deeply
00:38:15.400 invested
00:38:16.160 in having
00:38:17.060 one
00:38:17.520 particular
00:38:18.160 viewpoint
00:38:18.840 and
00:38:19.800 cannot
00:38:20.320 possibly
00:38:21.220 abandon
00:38:21.800 that
00:38:22.020 viewpoint
00:38:22.420 without
00:38:22.860 their
00:38:23.120 entire
00:38:23.580 perception
00:38:24.200 of
00:38:24.480 themselves
00:38:25.020 coming
00:38:25.840 crumbling
00:38:26.340 down
00:38:26.660 really
00:38:28.000 in order
00:38:28.580 to have
00:38:28.820 a fruitful
00:38:31.460 conversation
00:38:32.120 we need
00:38:32.540 that
00:38:32.740 perspective
00:38:33.220 why
00:38:34.420 and as
00:38:37.300 for
00:38:37.460 Jonah
00:38:37.640 Goldberg
00:38:38.080 this is
00:38:38.680 exactly
00:38:39.200 why you
00:38:40.640 can't
00:38:41.120 take
00:38:41.560 this
00:38:41.840 kind
00:38:42.080 of
00:38:42.220 mild
00:38:43.060 middle
00:38:43.620 ground
00:38:44.180 centrist
00:38:45.380 approach
00:38:46.180 to
00:38:46.520 transgenderism
00:38:47.320 this is
00:38:47.860 why it
00:38:48.120 doesn't
00:38:48.380 work
00:38:48.780 this is
00:38:50.400 why the
00:38:51.020 extreme
00:38:51.740 quote unquote
00:38:52.380 absolutist
00:38:53.220 position
00:38:53.600 that you
00:38:54.460 get from
00:38:54.760 somebody
00:38:55.080 like
00:38:55.420 well
00:38:56.160 me
00:38:56.520 is really
00:38:58.100 the only
00:38:58.560 way
00:38:58.920 I mean
00:39:00.100 it is
00:39:00.740 and yes
00:39:02.040 I'm biased
00:39:03.400 in saying
00:39:03.840 that
00:39:04.140 defending
00:39:04.620 my own
00:39:05.080 point
00:39:05.420 but
00:39:05.680 I think
00:39:06.980 I can
00:39:07.240 I think
00:39:07.480 I can
00:39:07.700 logically
00:39:08.120 defend
00:39:08.520 it
00:39:08.740 it's
00:39:09.520 the only
00:39:09.980 way
00:39:10.200 the only
00:39:11.020 opposition
00:39:11.560 that
00:39:12.080 works
00:39:12.580 is the
00:39:13.820 absolutist
00:39:15.160 fundamentalist
00:39:16.360 opposition
00:39:16.840 to
00:39:17.280 transgenderism
00:39:18.240 in principle
00:39:20.480 that's the
00:39:22.320 only
00:39:22.440 opposition
00:39:22.840 that really
00:39:23.340 exists
00:39:24.120 as
00:39:24.720 opposition
00:39:25.360 Goldberg
00:39:26.860 because he's
00:39:27.440 committed to
00:39:28.020 this
00:39:28.240 middle ground
00:39:28.940 shtick
00:39:29.440 he can't
00:39:30.100 come out
00:39:30.520 and just
00:39:31.020 say the
00:39:31.440 truth
00:39:31.780 so he
00:39:33.280 can
00:39:33.420 he can
00:39:33.760 get close
00:39:34.360 to it
00:39:34.880 and he
00:39:35.820 can talk
00:39:36.240 around it
00:39:36.900 he can
00:39:37.160 say well
00:39:37.660 you know
00:39:38.020 there are
00:39:38.320 some
00:39:38.520 criticisms
00:39:38.940 that might
00:39:39.420 be valid
00:39:40.100 and people
00:39:40.880 should be
00:39:41.200 able to
00:39:41.420 say
00:39:41.560 but he
00:39:42.360 can't
00:39:42.640 actually
00:39:43.120 say what
00:39:44.680 the criticism
00:39:45.100 is and
00:39:45.800 defend it
00:39:46.340 and
00:39:47.860 the
00:39:48.980 criticism
00:39:49.460 of
00:39:50.980 the
00:39:51.400 trans
00:39:51.720 stuff
00:39:52.040 the
00:39:54.000 reason
00:39:54.360 why
00:39:54.820 this
00:39:55.840 criticism
00:39:56.240 is
00:39:56.820 valid
00:39:57.360 and the
00:39:58.320 reason
00:39:58.480 why
00:39:58.620 people
00:39:58.820 are
00:39:59.060 always
00:39:59.640 100%
00:40:00.160 justified
00:40:00.580 in
00:40:01.460 not
00:40:01.720 wanting
00:40:02.020 transgenderism
00:40:02.760 promoted
00:40:03.200 by major
00:40:04.620 corporations
00:40:05.160 or by
00:40:05.680 anyone
00:40:06.080 and why
00:40:07.180 people
00:40:07.520 are
00:40:07.800 100%
00:40:08.740 justified
00:40:10.120 in not
00:40:10.640 wanting
00:40:10.860 it
00:40:10.940 promoted
00:40:11.180 especially
00:40:11.500 to
00:40:11.680 kids
00:40:11.900 the
00:40:12.520 reason
00:40:12.820 is
00:40:13.180 that
00:40:14.180 transgenderism
00:40:15.160 is
00:40:15.520 fake
00:40:16.240 okay
00:40:16.780 it's
00:40:17.060 not
00:40:17.400 real
00:40:18.080 it's
00:40:18.520 not
00:40:18.820 true
00:40:19.400 it is
00:40:19.760 not
00:40:19.940 a
00:40:20.100 valid
00:40:20.600 state
00:40:21.080 of
00:40:21.300 being
00:40:21.900 nobody
00:40:23.140 can
00:40:23.620 be
00:40:24.000 transgender
00:40:24.600 it's
00:40:25.040 all
00:40:25.240 fake
00:40:25.500 it's
00:40:25.680 all
00:40:25.860 untrue
00:40:26.520 so
00:40:27.100 a
00:40:27.280 trans
00:40:27.640 person
00:40:28.020 is
00:40:28.280 making
00:40:28.560 a
00:40:28.820 factual
00:40:29.360 claim
00:40:30.040 about
00:40:30.580 themselves
00:40:31.420 that is
00:40:33.120 not
00:40:33.300 true
00:40:33.540 if we
00:40:34.580 did
00:40:34.760 have
00:40:35.080 the
00:40:35.460 trans
00:40:36.460 identified
00:40:36.840 male
00:40:37.240 in the
00:40:37.620 conversation
00:40:38.160 he would
00:40:38.900 be
00:40:39.040 defending
00:40:39.660 a
00:40:40.280 factual
00:40:41.380 claim
00:40:41.800 about
00:40:42.080 himself
00:40:42.520 that
00:40:43.040 is
00:40:43.220 observably
00:40:44.240 absolutely
00:40:46.360 incontrovertibly
00:40:49.260 untrue
00:40:50.480 the male
00:40:52.760 in the
00:40:53.160 claim that
00:40:53.540 he's
00:40:53.640 making
00:40:53.920 is
00:40:54.300 that
00:40:54.660 he's
00:40:54.900 a
00:40:55.000 woman
00:40:55.220 and
00:40:56.520 that's
00:40:56.760 just
00:40:57.040 it's
00:40:58.100 not
00:40:58.300 true
00:40:58.720 so
00:40:59.560 that's
00:41:00.460 why
00:41:00.940 there
00:41:02.880 are a lot
00:41:03.140 of other
00:41:03.400 things that
00:41:04.880 come from
00:41:05.360 there
00:41:05.740 are
00:41:06.020 things
00:41:06.340 that
00:41:06.520 grow
00:41:08.100 from
00:41:08.740 the
00:41:09.000 root
00:41:09.280 of
00:41:09.500 this
00:41:09.740 untruth
00:41:10.460 the
00:41:11.940 damage
00:41:12.280 that
00:41:12.440 it
00:41:12.560 causes
00:41:12.880 to
00:41:13.380 children
00:41:13.800 the
00:41:14.020 way
00:41:14.240 all
00:41:14.540 the
00:41:14.660 things
00:41:14.860 that
00:41:15.000 it
00:41:15.040 does
00:41:15.200 appropriating
00:41:15.820 womanhood
00:41:16.240 and
00:41:16.360 destroying
00:41:16.680 women's
00:41:17.040 sports
00:41:17.400 and the
00:41:17.980 privacy
00:41:18.420 issues
00:41:18.780 in the
00:41:18.960 bathroom
00:41:19.200 these
00:41:20.400 are
00:41:20.540 all
00:41:20.820 these
00:41:21.020 are
00:41:21.140 all
00:41:21.420 to
00:41:21.860 switch
00:41:22.060 analogies
00:41:22.480 these
00:41:22.640 are
00:41:22.740 all
00:41:22.900 further
00:41:23.220 upstream
00:41:23.620 right
00:41:24.800 but
00:41:26.780 it
00:41:27.060 starts
00:41:27.480 with
00:41:27.660 the
00:41:27.800 fact
00:41:28.140 that
00:41:28.520 it's
00:41:28.720 just
00:41:28.880 not
00:41:29.060 true
00:41:29.320 that
00:41:30.520 the
00:41:30.660 trans
00:41:30.980 person
00:41:31.240 is
00:41:31.400 making
00:41:31.740 a
00:41:32.400 claim
00:41:33.000 that
00:41:33.140 is
00:41:33.240 not
00:41:33.380 true
00:41:33.540 and
00:41:34.140 any
00:41:34.580 corporation
00:41:35.860 anyone
00:41:36.280 who
00:41:36.500 promotes
00:41:36.900 this
00:41:37.080 stuff
00:41:37.240 is
00:41:37.440 promoting
00:41:38.000 something
00:41:38.560 that
00:41:39.160 is
00:41:39.340 deeply
00:41:40.040 fundamentally
00:41:40.980 absolutely
00:41:42.000 untrue
00:41:43.020 and
00:41:44.740 there
00:41:44.880 is
00:41:45.040 no
00:41:45.440 way
00:41:45.840 around
00:41:46.480 that
00:41:47.120 that
00:41:47.800 is
00:41:48.200 the
00:41:48.400 criticism
00:41:48.820 but
00:41:49.600 Jonah
00:41:49.900 Goldberg
00:41:50.620 can't
00:41:51.280 come out
00:41:51.500 and say
00:41:51.760 that
00:41:51.900 he's
00:41:52.020 not
00:41:52.300 going
00:41:52.540 to
00:41:52.680 say
00:41:52.860 it
00:41:52.980 he
00:41:53.120 knows
00:41:53.420 it
00:41:53.700 but
00:41:55.640 he's
00:41:55.780 not
00:41:55.900 going
00:41:56.000 to
00:41:56.040 come
00:41:56.140 out
00:41:56.240 and
00:41:56.320 say
00:41:56.420 look
00:41:56.620 this
00:41:56.800 transgenderism
00:41:57.360 stuff
00:41:57.560 it's
00:41:57.760 just
00:41:57.900 all
00:41:58.260 fake
00:41:58.600 it's
00:41:58.780 not
00:41:58.940 true
00:41:59.220 it's
00:41:59.380 not
00:41:59.540 real
00:42:00.020 yes
00:42:01.880 a
00:42:02.060 person
00:42:02.340 can
00:42:02.760 claim
00:42:04.160 that
00:42:04.340 they are
00:42:04.540 transgender
00:42:05.060 they can
00:42:05.820 identify
00:42:06.440 that
00:42:07.040 way
00:42:07.360 but
00:42:08.280 they're
00:42:08.520 not
00:42:08.820 actually
00:42:09.600 that
00:42:09.960 they
00:42:10.160 can't
00:42:10.560 be
00:42:10.960 that
00:42:11.420 and
00:42:13.200 that
00:42:13.720 is
00:42:14.260 the
00:42:14.720 absolutist
00:42:15.660 you know
00:42:15.980 what is
00:42:16.300 called
00:42:16.540 extreme
00:42:17.020 position
00:42:17.420 but
00:42:17.600 it's
00:42:17.700 not
00:42:17.860 extreme
00:42:18.160 at
00:42:18.320 all
00:42:18.540 it's
00:42:20.340 just
00:42:20.540 it's
00:42:21.860 basic
00:42:23.040 logic
00:42:24.860 and
00:42:25.160 truth
00:42:25.480 and
00:42:26.780 there
00:42:26.900 is
00:42:27.000 no
00:42:27.240 way
00:42:27.460 of
00:42:27.580 engaging
00:42:28.020 on
00:42:28.540 this
00:42:28.720 issue
00:42:29.080 without
00:42:31.140 acknowledging
00:42:32.280 that
00:42:32.660 our
00:42:36.300 dispute
00:42:37.920 with
00:42:39.640 the
00:42:39.780 trans
00:42:40.060 agenda
00:42:40.440 is
00:42:41.300 that
00:42:41.460 it
00:42:41.580 is
00:42:41.720 pushing
00:42:42.020 something
00:42:42.520 that
00:42:42.860 is
00:42:43.080 completely
00:42:43.840 untrue
00:42:44.500 that's
00:42:45.000 our
00:42:45.120 dispute
00:42:45.480 there
00:42:47.340 is
00:42:47.520 no
00:42:47.640 other
00:42:47.800 dispute
00:42:48.060 like
00:42:48.700 if
00:42:48.880 it's
00:42:49.040 not
00:42:49.240 untrue
00:42:49.720 then
00:42:50.100 there's
00:42:50.360 nothing
00:42:50.540 to argue
00:42:50.840 about
00:42:51.100 either
00:42:53.420 it's
00:42:54.460 untrue
00:42:55.040 either
00:42:55.360 it's
00:42:55.640 false
00:42:56.080 or
00:42:57.960 the
00:42:58.180 critics
00:42:58.440 of
00:42:58.660 trans
00:42:58.940 ideology
00:42:59.380 are
00:42:59.680 wrong
00:42:59.960 completely
00:43:00.360 about
00:43:00.580 everything
00:43:00.880 because
00:43:02.740 if
00:43:02.860 it's
00:43:02.980 actually
00:43:03.260 true
00:43:03.640 then
00:43:03.980 yeah
00:43:04.300 why
00:43:04.480 can't
00:43:04.700 you
00:43:04.800 promote
00:43:05.080 it
00:43:05.240 promote
00:43:05.840 it
00:43:05.980 to
00:43:06.540 kids
00:43:06.820 if
00:43:07.140 it's
00:43:07.320 true
00:43:07.640 like
00:43:08.760 if
00:43:09.120 it's
00:43:09.220 actually
00:43:09.480 true
00:43:09.960 that
00:43:10.380 a
00:43:11.340 male
00:43:11.680 can
00:43:11.880 be
00:43:11.980 a
00:43:12.100 woman
00:43:12.320 then
00:43:13.320 yeah
00:43:13.700 I guess
00:43:13.960 we should
00:43:14.200 tell
00:43:14.720 kids
00:43:15.000 that
00:43:15.180 we should
00:43:15.400 tell
00:43:15.520 everyone
00:43:15.740 that
00:43:15.940 everyone
00:43:16.260 should
00:43:16.460 know
00:43:16.640 that
00:43:16.800 if
00:43:16.920 it's
00:43:17.080 true
00:43:17.420 but
00:43:19.120 it's
00:43:19.280 not
00:43:19.580 all
00:43:21.520 right
00:43:21.700 one
00:43:22.640 other
00:43:22.880 quick
00:43:23.400 thing
00:43:24.200 the
00:43:25.080 singer
00:43:25.340 jewel
00:43:25.740 performed
00:43:26.160 the
00:43:26.300 national
00:43:26.600 anthem
00:43:26.900 at
00:43:27.160 the
00:43:27.360 Indy
00:43:27.720 500
00:43:28.040 and
00:43:28.380 it
00:43:28.480 has
00:43:28.640 divided
00:43:29.020 the
00:43:29.220 public
00:43:29.620 and
00:43:30.140 this
00:43:30.280 is
00:43:30.440 so
00:43:31.160 I
00:43:31.320 have
00:43:31.520 to
00:43:31.620 get
00:43:31.780 up
00:43:31.900 on
00:43:32.020 my
00:43:32.200 soapbox
00:43:32.920 I've
00:43:33.260 been
00:43:33.340 on
00:43:33.460 soapbox
00:43:33.780 I'm
00:43:34.060 just
00:43:34.220 switching
00:43:34.480 soapboxes
00:43:35.040 to a
00:43:35.220 different
00:43:35.380 one
00:43:35.580 as we
00:43:36.080 shift
00:43:36.360 soapboxes
00:43:36.860 throughout
00:43:37.020 the
00:43:37.160 show
00:43:37.300 but
00:43:38.160 this
00:43:38.320 is
00:43:38.440 important
00:43:39.020 so
00:43:39.220 we're
00:43:39.980 going to
00:43:40.060 play
00:43:40.180 a little
00:43:40.580 snippet
00:43:40.920 of this
00:43:41.240 this
00:43:41.920 is
00:43:42.040 the
00:43:42.160 anthem
00:43:42.400 that
00:43:42.540 she
00:43:42.640 performed
00:43:43.060 and
00:43:43.460 there
00:43:43.620 were
00:43:43.680 some
00:43:43.780 people
00:43:43.920 that
00:43:44.080 loved
00:43:44.320 it
00:43:44.460 she
00:43:44.660 had
00:43:44.760 a
00:43:44.820 beautiful
00:43:45.020 voice
00:43:45.320 it
00:43:45.400 great
00:43:45.660 other
00:43:46.080 people
00:43:58.380 oh
00:43:59.720 say
00:44:01.420 can
00:44:04.180 you
00:44:04.540 see
00:44:05.720 by
00:44:08.040 the
00:44:08.500 dawn's
00:44:10.540 early
00:44:11.880 light
00:44:13.840 what
00:44:14.940 so
00:44:15.320 proudly
00:44:18.320 we
00:44:19.080 hailed
00:44:21.540 at
00:44:22.520 the
00:44:22.700 twilight's
00:44:25.460 last
00:44:26.220 gleaming
00:44:27.060 whose
00:44:30.000 broad
00:44:30.840 stripes
00:44:31.920 and
00:44:33.340 bright
00:44:34.540 stars
00:44:35.080 so
00:44:35.480 I'm
00:44:35.620 going to
00:44:35.720 deliver
00:44:35.940 the
00:44:36.080 verdict
00:44:36.280 here
00:44:36.500 this
00:44:36.800 is
00:44:37.060 bad
00:44:39.300 this
00:44:40.320 is
00:44:40.460 treason
00:44:41.880 I think
00:44:42.720 you can
00:44:43.100 make an
00:44:43.360 argument
00:44:43.620 that
00:44:44.440 we would
00:44:45.140 arrest
00:44:45.440 people
00:44:45.820 who
00:44:46.160 performed
00:44:46.580 I think
00:44:47.340 if you
00:44:47.640 yeah
00:44:47.940 okay
00:44:48.960 I'm
00:44:49.260 committing
00:44:49.500 to this
00:44:49.900 it just
00:44:50.380 popped
00:44:50.580 in my
00:44:50.740 head
00:44:50.840 I think
00:44:51.740 that if
00:44:52.020 you
00:44:52.100 perform
00:44:52.440 the
00:44:52.560 national
00:44:52.800 anthem
00:44:52.980 with
00:44:53.140 an
00:44:53.240 acoustic
00:44:53.420 guitar
00:44:53.740 you
00:44:54.080 should
00:44:54.300 go
00:44:54.600 to
00:44:55.100 prison
00:44:55.500 and
00:44:56.940 be
00:44:57.940 executed
00:44:58.380 yes
00:45:00.260 I'm
00:45:02.040 calling
00:45:02.200 for the
00:45:02.420 execution
00:45:02.840 of
00:45:03.160 jewel
00:45:03.460 for
00:45:04.180 for
00:45:04.900 performing
00:45:05.320 with
00:45:05.500 maybe
00:45:06.120 not
00:45:06.280 that
00:45:06.440 far
00:45:06.640 but
00:45:06.880 at least
00:45:07.240 a steep
00:45:08.200 fine
00:45:08.460 okay
00:45:08.920 we'll
00:45:09.360 set it
00:45:09.580 we started
00:45:09.880 with
00:45:09.980 execution
00:45:10.280 we'll
00:45:10.460 go
00:45:10.540 down
00:45:10.660 I
00:45:11.220 think
00:45:11.540 a
00:45:11.720 steep
00:45:11.920 fine
00:45:12.400 for
00:45:13.000 performing
00:45:13.580 the
00:45:13.920 national
00:45:14.760 anthem
00:45:15.020 with
00:45:15.220 an
00:45:15.340 acoustic
00:45:15.580 guitar
00:45:15.920 look
00:45:16.820 she's
00:45:17.140 a
00:45:17.300 she's
00:45:18.740 an
00:45:18.880 obviously
00:45:19.240 very
00:45:19.520 talented
00:45:19.860 singer
00:45:20.220 and
00:45:20.480 she
00:45:20.560 has
00:45:20.660 a
00:45:20.740 beautiful
00:45:20.940 voice
00:45:21.300 that's
00:45:22.600 that
00:45:22.880 makes
00:45:23.120 the
00:45:23.280 offense
00:45:23.580 even
00:45:23.800 worse
00:45:24.300 because
00:45:24.900 she
00:45:25.160 could
00:45:25.440 have
00:45:25.640 performed
00:45:26.040 it
00:45:26.180 traditionally
00:45:26.620 and it
00:45:27.100 would have
00:45:27.280 been a very
00:45:27.560 good
00:45:27.700 performance
00:45:28.200 any
00:45:30.580 attempt
00:45:31.140 to turn
00:45:31.620 the national
00:45:32.080 anthem
00:45:32.380 into an
00:45:32.900 acoustic
00:45:33.280 folk
00:45:33.800 ballad
00:45:34.300 will always
00:45:35.160 be terrible
00:45:35.720 and I'm
00:45:36.380 not saying
00:45:37.120 that
00:45:37.500 because I
00:45:38.460 have some
00:45:38.940 sort of
00:45:39.280 prejudice
00:45:39.580 against
00:45:40.020 acoustic
00:45:40.400 folk
00:45:40.740 ballads
00:45:41.060 I don't
00:45:41.820 I love
00:45:42.260 that kind
00:45:42.580 of music
00:45:42.840 I mean
00:45:43.440 an acoustic
00:45:43.980 folk
00:45:44.300 ballad
00:45:44.460 you take
00:45:44.980 someone
00:45:45.180 with a
00:45:45.360 great
00:45:45.520 voice
00:45:45.820 and they're
00:45:46.100 just
00:45:46.280 strumming
00:45:46.660 the
00:45:46.920 acoustic
00:45:47.340 guitar
00:45:47.720 and singing
00:45:48.220 a song
00:45:48.760 as long
00:45:50.060 as it's
00:45:50.240 not the
00:45:50.500 anthem
00:45:50.820 I will
00:45:51.960 almost
00:45:52.260 always
00:45:52.600 as long
00:45:53.060 as it's
00:45:53.260 not the
00:45:53.600 anthem
00:45:53.840 and it's
00:45:54.080 not
00:45:54.240 happening
00:45:54.520 in church
00:45:55.040 okay
00:45:55.720 as long
00:45:57.180 as that's
00:45:57.520 not the
00:45:57.820 case
00:45:58.100 I will
00:45:59.020 almost
00:45:59.360 always
00:45:59.680 like
00:45:59.920 the
00:46:00.060 song
00:46:00.260 I love
00:46:00.700 all those
00:46:01.140 kinds
00:46:01.380 of
00:46:01.500 songs
00:46:01.780 if it's
00:46:02.880 not the
00:46:03.120 anthem
00:46:03.300 it's
00:46:03.480 not
00:46:03.600 in church
00:46:03.920 so I
00:46:05.100 have
00:46:05.240 no
00:46:05.540 prejudice
00:46:06.100 against
00:46:06.700 that
00:46:07.020 genre
00:46:07.660 of
00:46:07.880 music
00:46:08.300 I
00:46:08.700 very much
00:46:08.980 enjoy
00:46:09.380 that
00:46:09.580 music
00:46:09.920 but
00:46:10.740 that's
00:46:11.200 not
00:46:11.380 the
00:46:11.520 national
00:46:11.860 anthem
00:46:12.240 and you
00:46:13.540 need to
00:46:13.780 stop
00:46:14.020 trying to
00:46:14.460 make
00:46:14.660 the
00:46:14.820 anthem
00:46:18.760 sound
00:46:19.280 like
00:46:19.640 an
00:46:19.860 anthem
00:46:20.240 like
00:46:20.780 the
00:46:21.200 national
00:46:21.500 anthem
00:46:21.700 is a
00:46:22.060 certain
00:46:22.380 song
00:46:23.260 and
00:46:23.660 that's
00:46:24.060 what
00:46:24.260 it
00:46:24.400 is
00:46:24.720 and so
00:46:24.980 if
00:46:25.120 you
00:46:25.240 do it
00:46:25.660 another
00:46:25.920 way
00:46:26.300 you're
00:46:26.700 not
00:46:26.880 performing
00:46:27.280 the
00:46:27.480 anthem
00:46:27.660 anymore
00:46:27.980 you're
00:46:28.180 doing
00:46:28.360 something
00:46:28.760 else
00:46:29.160 it
00:46:29.920 doesn't
00:46:30.140 even
00:46:30.300 it
00:46:30.520 looks
00:46:30.820 almost
00:46:31.100 weird
00:46:31.660 when
00:46:32.060 someone's
00:46:32.360 performing
00:46:32.640 the
00:46:32.820 anthem
00:46:32.980 that
00:46:33.260 way
00:46:33.500 to
00:46:34.080 have
00:46:34.280 people
00:46:34.600 in
00:46:34.740 a
00:46:34.920 stadium
00:46:35.320 standing
00:46:36.240 there
00:46:36.460 with
00:46:36.580 their
00:46:36.720 hands
00:46:36.920 on
00:46:37.020 their
00:46:37.140 heart
00:46:37.300 it
00:46:37.460 looks
00:46:38.340 strange
00:46:39.120 because
00:46:40.120 it's
00:46:40.400 not
00:46:40.560 the
00:46:40.660 anthem
00:46:40.780 this
00:46:42.020 is
00:46:42.140 just
00:46:48.760 and I
00:46:49.360 want
00:46:49.480 this
00:46:49.600 to be
00:46:49.780 a
00:46:49.900 moment
00:46:50.120 for
00:46:50.420 me
00:46:50.840 and
00:46:51.080 so
00:46:51.200 I'm
00:46:51.320 going
00:46:51.380 to
00:46:51.460 put
00:46:51.580 on
00:46:51.700 a
00:46:51.960 pop
00:46:52.260 performance
00:46:52.720 or
00:46:52.900 an
00:46:53.040 acoustic
00:46:53.280 folk
00:46:53.580 performance
00:46:54.000 and
00:46:54.800 that's
00:46:54.980 all
00:46:55.120 it
00:46:55.240 is
00:46:55.400 it's
00:46:55.580 just
00:46:55.700 a
00:46:55.820 little
00:46:55.940 musical
00:46:56.280 number
00:46:56.620 it's
00:46:56.920 not
00:46:57.400 really
00:46:57.680 the
00:46:57.880 anthem
00:46:58.140 anymore
00:46:58.620 and
00:46:59.600 so
00:47:00.260 it
00:47:00.400 looks
00:47:00.700 the
00:47:01.200 optics
00:47:01.560 look
00:47:01.800 strange
00:47:02.100 it's
00:47:02.240 like
00:47:02.360 can
00:47:02.480 you
00:47:02.580 imagine
00:47:02.980 people
00:47:03.700 at
00:47:04.020 an
00:47:04.220 acoustic
00:47:04.460 folk
00:47:04.840 concert
00:47:05.560 standing
00:47:06.180 there
00:47:06.340 with
00:47:06.440 their
00:47:06.540 hands
00:47:06.740 on
00:47:06.840 their
00:47:06.940 hearts
00:47:07.120 doesn't
00:47:07.400 make
00:47:07.560 any
00:47:07.740 sense
00:47:08.060 the
00:47:09.060 anthem
00:47:09.420 is
00:47:09.820 supposed
00:47:10.440 to
00:47:10.720 sound
00:47:10.940 a
00:47:11.080 certain
00:47:11.260 way
00:47:11.520 and
00:47:11.700 that's
00:47:11.900 what
00:47:12.040 it
00:47:12.160 is
00:47:12.280 if
00:47:12.380 you
00:47:12.460 do
00:47:12.600 it
00:47:12.680 a
00:47:12.780 different
00:47:12.940 way
00:47:13.100 it's
00:47:13.240 not
00:47:13.400 the
00:47:13.540 anthem
00:47:13.740 anymore
00:47:14.120 it's
00:47:16.720 not
00:47:16.980 supposed
00:47:17.380 to
00:47:17.860 sound
00:47:18.360 like
00:47:18.840 a
00:47:19.020 song
00:47:19.440 on
00:47:19.700 your
00:47:19.840 Spotify
00:47:20.280 playlist
00:47:20.980 yeah
00:47:22.400 the
00:47:22.560 actual
00:47:23.000 national
00:47:23.720 anthem
00:47:24.080 it's
00:47:24.320 not
00:47:24.500 really
00:47:24.760 catchy
00:47:25.200 in
00:47:26.600 no
00:47:26.840 other
00:47:27.060 context
00:47:27.720 would
00:47:27.980 you
00:47:28.100 listen
00:47:28.480 to
00:47:28.700 a
00:47:28.840 song
00:47:29.080 like
00:47:29.300 that
00:47:29.620 you're
00:47:30.580 not
00:47:30.740 going
00:47:31.220 to
00:47:31.320 put
00:47:31.480 it
00:47:31.600 on
00:47:31.720 your
00:47:31.840 Spotify
00:47:32.200 playlist
00:47:33.000 and
00:47:33.760 listen
00:47:34.200 to
00:47:34.480 it
00:47:34.720 in
00:47:35.260 the
00:47:35.420 car
00:47:35.740 while
00:47:35.980 you're
00:47:36.140 driving
00:47:36.460 along
00:47:36.820 on
00:47:36.980 a
00:47:37.080 road
00:47:37.280 trip
00:47:37.500 you're
00:47:37.640 not
00:47:37.760 going
00:47:37.860 to
00:47:37.920 do
00:47:38.060 that
00:47:38.380 but
00:47:39.760 it's
00:47:40.080 not
00:47:40.300 that's
00:47:40.660 not
00:47:40.840 what
00:47:40.980 that's
00:47:41.260 not
00:47:41.400 its
00:47:41.580 function
00:47:42.240 the
00:47:42.920 song
00:47:43.240 has
00:47:43.420 a
00:47:43.560 certain
00:47:43.820 function
00:47:44.520 and
00:47:46.680 this
00:47:47.380 is
00:47:47.520 not
00:47:47.700 it
00:47:47.960 so
00:47:49.780 that
00:47:49.960 is
00:47:50.080 incorrect
00:47:50.500 life

00:47:52.040 we're

00:47:53.680 to
00:47:53.760 that
00:47:54.000 for
00:47:54.640 that
00:47:54.780 performance
00:47:55.140 all
00:47:56.400 right
00:47:56.480 let's

00:48:53.080 wanted to
00:48:53.280 share
00:48:53.420 something
00:48:53.640 with you
00:48:53.920 briefly
00:48:54.300 because I
00:48:55.060 also want to
00:48:55.340 get your
00:48:55.560 opinion on
00:48:56.040 this
00:48:56.360 as you
00:48:57.980 know
00:48:58.420 one of the
00:48:59.800 great joys of
00:49:00.440 parenthood
00:49:00.900 is trolling
00:49:01.840 your kids
00:49:02.440 and if I
00:49:03.060 ever write
00:49:03.540 a parenting
00:49:04.200 book
00:49:04.580 which I
00:49:05.000 may
00:49:05.160 one day
00:49:05.600 I
00:49:06.220 would
00:49:06.360 probably
00:49:06.620 call it
00:49:07.040 how to
00:49:07.440 troll
00:49:07.700 your
00:49:07.880 kids
00:49:08.180 because
00:49:08.440 it's
00:49:08.640 one
00:49:09.000 it's
00:49:09.380 it's
00:49:09.580 an
00:49:09.700 important
00:49:09.900 part
00:49:10.180 of
00:49:10.320 parenting
00:49:10.800 it's
00:49:11.740 fun
00:49:12.080 it teaches
00:49:12.540 them
00:49:12.800 good
00:49:13.060 life
00:49:13.280 lessons
00:49:13.660 and
00:49:14.560 you
00:49:14.780 never
00:49:15.020 know
00:49:15.280 when
00:49:15.440 an
00:49:15.540 opportunity
00:49:15.800 will
00:49:15.940 present
00:49:16.120 itself
00:49:16.400 so
00:49:17.020 example
00:49:17.640 yesterday
00:49:18.680 I'm in
00:49:19.020 my
00:49:19.260 kitchen
00:49:19.640 I'm eating
00:49:20.080 a piece
00:49:20.420 of cheese
00:49:21.000 as I
00:49:21.420 often
00:49:21.660 do
00:49:22.000 and my
00:49:22.880 three-year-old
00:49:23.340 daughter
00:49:23.660 comes in
00:49:24.280 and says
00:49:24.820 daddy
00:49:25.160 what you
00:49:25.480 doing
00:49:25.780 and she
00:49:26.660 likes to
00:49:27.040 ask me
00:49:27.340 what I'm
00:49:27.560 doing
00:49:27.820 even when
00:49:28.300 she can
00:49:28.600 clearly
00:49:29.080 see
00:49:29.360 what I'm
00:49:29.640 doing
00:49:29.880 so this
00:49:30.240 is
00:49:30.420 you know
00:49:30.780 50 times
00:49:31.380 a day
00:49:31.680 I'm
00:49:32.120 doing
00:49:32.620 something
00:49:32.980 and she
00:49:33.400 says
00:49:33.560 what am
00:49:33.840 I
00:49:33.940 doing
00:49:34.180 and then
00:49:34.460 I say
00:49:34.760 I'm
00:49:35.080 doing
00:49:35.260 the
00:49:35.420 thing
00:49:35.560 that
00:49:35.680 you
00:49:35.760 can
00:49:35.880 see
00:49:36.020 me
00:49:36.140 doing
00:49:36.340 and
00:49:36.780 these
00:49:36.900 are
00:49:36.980 the
00:49:37.080 kinds
00:49:37.260 of
00:49:37.380 conversations
00:49:37.780 that
00:49:38.020 you
00:49:38.100 have
00:49:38.280 with
00:49:38.380 a
00:49:38.440 three-year-old
00:49:38.760 so I
00:49:39.780 said
00:49:40.040 well I'm
00:49:40.540 eating
00:49:40.700 cheese
00:49:41.080 and she
00:49:41.420 said
00:49:41.720 where'd
00:49:42.060 you
00:49:42.100 get
00:49:42.220 the
00:49:42.340 cheese
00:49:42.660 and I
00:49:42.980 said
00:49:43.160 I
00:49:43.320 got it
00:49:43.600 from the
00:49:43.900 sky
00:49:44.260 it
00:49:44.480 fell
00:49:44.720 from
00:49:44.940 the
00:49:45.100 sky
00:49:45.380 and I
00:49:45.700 caught
00:49:45.960 it
00:49:46.240 and
00:49:46.620 now
00:49:46.780 I'm
00:49:46.920 eating
00:49:47.140 it
00:49:47.440 and
00:49:47.880 she
00:49:48.000 said
00:49:48.360 without
00:49:48.960 a hint
00:49:49.440 of
00:49:49.560 skepticism
00:49:49.960 by the
00:49:50.220 way
00:49:50.420 she
00:49:50.860 would
00:49:51.060 roll
00:49:51.360 with
00:49:51.560 it
00:49:51.700 she
00:49:52.100 said
00:49:52.340 well
00:49:52.560 had
00:49:53.100 that
00:49:53.340 happened
00:49:53.720 and I
00:49:54.660 said
00:49:54.860 it
00:49:55.020 was
00:49:55.160 from
00:49:55.320 a
00:49:55.460 plane
00:49:55.780 they
00:49:56.060 tossed
00:49:56.340 it
00:49:56.460 out
00:49:56.540 of
00:49:56.620 a
00:49:56.700 plane
00:49:56.940 and
00:49:57.760 she
00:49:57.900 said
00:49:58.100 why
00:49:58.560 did
00:49:58.960 they
00:49:59.080 do
00:49:59.260 that
00:49:59.580 and
00:49:59.760 I
00:49:59.880 said
00:50:00.120 it's
00:50:00.780 well
00:50:01.240 it's
00:50:01.400 a
00:50:01.520 cheese
00:50:01.780 plane
00:50:02.140 and
00:50:02.940 they
00:50:03.160 fly
00:50:04.200 by
00:50:04.540 and
00:50:04.780 they
00:50:04.920 throw
00:50:05.120 cheese
00:50:05.540 from
00:50:06.580 the
00:50:06.740 cheese
00:50:06.940 plane
00:50:07.180 everyone
00:50:07.420 knows
00:50:07.740 this
00:50:08.000 you
00:50:08.160 didn't
00:50:08.280 know
00:50:08.400 that
00:50:08.660 it's
00:50:09.640 a
00:50:09.700 whole
00:50:09.820 thing
00:50:10.140 fast
00:50:11.080 forward
00:50:11.280 to
00:50:11.420 five
00:50:11.600 minutes
00:50:11.820 later
00:50:12.160 and
00:50:12.400 I
00:50:12.500 put
00:50:12.720 the
00:50:12.960 picture
00:50:13.560 up
00:50:13.720 on
00:50:13.800 screen
00:50:14.000 my
00:50:14.160 daughter
00:50:14.400 is
00:50:14.620 standing
00:50:15.200 outside
00:50:15.760 staring
00:50:16.280 up
00:50:16.520 at
00:50:16.680 the
00:50:16.860 sky
00:50:17.280 on
00:50:18.080 our
00:50:18.200 back
00:50:18.420 patio
00:50:18.780 looking
00:50:19.140 up
00:50:19.320 to
00:50:19.420 the
00:50:19.520 heavens
00:50:19.800 waiting
00:50:20.680 for
00:50:20.920 cheese
00:50:21.280 to
00:50:21.520 fall
00:50:21.680 from
00:50:21.840 the
00:50:21.940 sky
00:50:22.140 and
00:50:22.720 she
00:50:22.780 was
00:50:22.880 out
00:50:22.980 there
00:50:23.060 for
00:50:23.160 several
00:50:23.380 minutes
00:50:23.660 hoping
00:50:24.380 that
00:50:24.540 the
00:50:24.640 cheese
00:50:24.820 would
00:50:24.940 come
00:50:25.140 and
00:50:26.320 this
00:50:26.500 presented
00:50:26.800 a
00:50:26.980 quandary
00:50:27.420 for
00:50:27.600 me
00:50:27.820 because
00:50:28.380 either
00:50:28.700 I
00:50:28.860 could
00:50:29.000 tell
00:50:29.340 her
00:50:29.640 that
00:50:30.260 I
00:50:30.360 made
00:50:30.600 the
00:50:30.720 whole
00:50:30.820 thing
00:50:30.960 up
00:50:31.120 and
00:50:31.200 it's
00:50:31.320 a
00:50:31.420 joke
00:50:31.680 or
00:50:32.740 I
00:50:33.020 could
00:50:33.160 say
00:50:33.380 nothing
00:50:33.680 and
00:50:34.080 let
00:50:34.260 her
00:50:34.380 live
00:50:34.940 for
00:50:35.900 a
00:50:36.040 time
00:50:36.360 in
00:50:37.040 a
00:50:37.160 world
00:50:37.460 where
00:50:38.080 cheese
00:50:38.380 planes
00:50:38.620 exist
00:50:39.020 and
00:50:40.120 I
00:50:41.100 chose
00:50:41.380 the
00:50:41.560 latter
00:50:41.740 option
00:50:42.100 as
00:50:42.340 I
00:50:42.460 usually
00:50:42.780 do
00:50:43.060 and
00:50:44.160 now
00:50:44.300 just
00:50:44.560 like
00:50:44.780 that
00:50:45.080 my
00:50:45.400 daughter
00:50:45.660 lives
00:50:46.040 in
00:50:46.260 a
00:50:46.400 cheese
00:50:46.740 plane
00:50:47.160 world
00:50:47.720 and
00:50:48.040 I
00:50:48.220 think
00:50:49.000 that
00:50:49.320 that's
00:50:49.560 a
00:50:49.640 great
00:50:49.820 blessing
00:50:50.140 it
00:50:51.520 doesn't
00:50:51.740 last
00:50:52.040 long
00:50:52.320 especially
00:50:52.620 the
00:50:53.100 trolling
00:50:54.160 of the
00:50:54.360 kids
00:50:54.540 doesn't
00:50:54.820 work
00:50:55.140 as
00:50:55.420 well
00:50:55.760 when
00:50:56.020 you
00:50:56.140 have
00:50:57.080 kids
00:50:57.380 that
00:50:57.500 are
00:50:57.620 older
00:50:58.000 and
00:50:58.280 they're
00:50:58.420 on
00:50:58.620 to
00:50:58.720 your
00:50:58.860 games
00:50:59.240 and
00:50:59.480 so
00:50:59.600 now
00:51:04.260 and
00:51:04.660 her
00:51:04.880 sister
00:51:05.120 was
00:51:05.300 super
00:51:05.580 skeptical
00:51:05.920 about
00:51:06.360 it
00:51:06.620 and
00:51:07.500 she
00:51:09.160 asked
00:51:09.500 the
00:51:09.620 younger
00:51:09.840 one
00:51:10.080 how
00:51:10.320 do
00:51:10.520 you
00:51:10.600 know
00:51:10.740 he
00:51:10.840 got
00:51:11.000 it
00:51:11.100 from
00:51:11.200 a
00:51:11.320 plane
00:51:11.580 and
00:51:11.760 she
00:51:11.900 said
00:51:12.140 I
00:51:12.400 saw
00:51:12.700 him
00:51:12.840 eating
00:51:13.000 the
00:51:13.160 cheese
00:51:13.640 and
00:51:15.000 my
00:51:15.180 older
00:51:15.380 daughter
00:51:15.620 great
00:51:16.000 critical
00:51:16.320 thinking
00:51:16.600 skills
00:51:17.000 said
00:51:17.280 well
00:51:17.440 just
00:51:17.600 because
00:51:17.800 you
00:51:17.920 saw
00:51:18.140 him
00:51:18.260 eating
00:51:18.520 it
00:51:18.840 doesn't
00:51:19.500 mean
00:51:19.640 you
00:51:19.760 know
00:51:19.960 where
00:51:20.140 it
00:51:20.260 came
00:51:20.500 from
00:51:20.780 he
00:51:20.900 could
00:51:21.020 have
00:51:21.100 gotten
00:51:21.280 it
00:51:21.380 from
00:51:21.480 the
00:51:21.620 fridge
00:51:21.940 and
00:51:22.200 so
00:51:22.360 just
00:51:22.560 ruining
00:51:22.880 the
00:51:23.020 whole
00:51:23.140 thing
00:51:23.360 now
00:51:24.760 I
00:51:24.880 just
00:51:24.980 have
00:51:25.080 to
00:51:25.200 decide
00:51:25.580 how
00:51:26.120 committed
00:51:26.560 I'm
00:51:26.940 going
00:51:27.120 to
00:51:27.260 be
00:51:27.600 to
00:51:28.220 this
00:51:28.420 bit
00:51:28.760 because
00:51:29.560 if
00:51:29.720 I'm
00:51:29.860 really
00:51:30.100 committed
00:51:30.440 to
00:51:30.700 it
00:51:30.940 then
00:51:31.780 you
00:51:33.060 know
00:51:33.220 when
00:51:33.780 I
00:51:33.860 get
00:51:33.940 up
00:51:34.020 from
00:51:34.100 work
00:51:34.260 tonight
00:51:34.420 I
00:51:34.580 could
00:51:34.680 have
00:51:34.800 my
00:51:34.960 daughter
00:51:35.260 come
00:51:35.480 outside
00:51:35.760 and
00:51:35.880 I
00:51:36.060 could
00:51:36.180 go
00:51:36.360 up
00:51:36.480 to
00:51:36.540 the
00:51:36.620 upper
00:51:36.760 story
00:51:36.980 window
00:51:37.220 and
00:51:37.400 throw
00:51:37.660 cheese
00:51:38.080 out
00:51:38.420 just
00:51:39.140 to
00:51:39.260 keep
00:51:39.500 the
00:51:39.920 story
00:51:40.220 going
00:51:40.580 of
00:51:42.140 to
00:51:42.240 think
00:51:42.340 about
00:51:42.500 it
00:51:42.860 of
00:51:43.540 course
00:51:43.640 I
00:51:43.780 you
00:51:44.000 know
00:51:44.160 I
00:51:44.620 shared
00:51:44.900 this
00:51:45.160 because
00:51:45.340 I
00:51:45.520 thought
00:51:45.680 it
00:51:45.740 was
00:51:45.820 funny
00:51:46.040 on
00:51:46.240 Twitter
00:51:46.460 and
00:51:46.720 then
00:51:46.880 you
00:51:47.040 had
00:51:47.160 a
00:51:47.280 bunch
00:51:47.480 of
00:51:47.700 people
00:51:48.160 you're
00:51:48.420 lying
00:51:48.700 to
00:51:48.820 your
00:51:48.940 kids
00:51:49.240 you're
00:51:49.540 going
00:51:49.620 to
00:51:49.700 ruin
00:51:49.880 your
00:51:50.040 kids
00:51:50.260 lives
00:51:50.700 you're
00:51:51.120 lying
00:51:51.380 to
00:51:51.520 them
00:51:51.740 never
00:51:52.520 lie
00:51:52.700 to
00:51:52.780 your
00:51:52.860 kids
00:51:53.040 about
00:51:53.220 cheese
00:51:53.480 planes
00:51:53.820 you've
00:51:55.120 destroyed
00:51:55.540 them
00:51:55.860 I
00:51:57.760 always
00:51:57.900 wonder
00:51:58.100 people
00:51:58.400 like
00:51:59.520 this
00:51:59.740 I
00:52:00.740 have
00:52:00.900 to
00:52:00.980 assume
00:52:01.320 that
00:52:01.500 they
00:52:01.920 don't
00:52:02.180 have
00:52:02.360 kids
00:52:02.700 once
00:52:04.380 you
00:52:04.500 have
00:52:04.700 kids
00:52:04.940 the
00:52:05.080 people
00:52:05.240 that
00:52:05.400 take
00:52:05.820 jokes
00:52:06.340 you
00:52:06.540 know
00:52:06.620 the
00:52:06.740 parents
00:52:07.060 you
00:52:07.320 play
00:52:07.560 joke
00:52:07.860 on
00:52:07.980 your
00:52:08.100 kids
00:52:08.380 and
00:52:08.480 people
00:52:08.620 that
00:52:08.740 take
00:52:08.880 it
00:52:08.960 really
00:52:09.120 seriously
00:52:09.620 you're
00:52:10.600 going to
00:52:10.800 scar
00:52:11.120 them
00:52:11.340 for
00:52:11.500 life
00:52:11.800 they'll
00:52:11.980 never
00:52:12.200 trust
00:52:12.580 you
00:52:12.740 again
00:52:13.080 because
00:52:13.360 of
00:52:13.460 the
00:52:13.600 cheese
00:52:13.860 plane
00:52:14.220 your
00:52:15.080 daughter
00:52:15.440 is
00:52:15.560 going
00:52:15.660 to
00:52:15.700 be
00:52:15.880 25
00:52:16.460 years
00:52:16.860 old
00:52:17.040 and
00:52:17.120 a
00:52:17.280 therapist
00:52:17.680 telling
00:52:18.040 them
00:52:18.240 about
00:52:18.400 the
00:52:18.560 cheese
00:52:18.880 plane
00:52:19.260 ruse
00:52:19.720 I
00:52:21.160 have
00:52:21.320 to
00:52:21.420 assume
00:52:21.620 that
00:52:21.740 people
00:52:21.960 that
00:52:22.240 react
00:52:22.480 this
00:52:22.620 way
00:52:22.780 don't
00:52:23.120 have
00:52:23.360 kids
00:52:23.700 because
00:52:23.920 when
00:52:24.140 you
00:52:24.280 do
00:52:24.580 you
00:52:25.340 realize
00:52:25.800 that
00:52:25.960 this
00:52:26.120 is
00:52:26.260 just
00:52:26.580 like
00:52:26.960 it
00:52:27.800 is
00:52:28.140 this
00:52:29.560 is
00:52:29.720 how
00:52:30.020 this
00:52:30.360 is
00:52:30.480 how
00:52:30.920 you
00:52:31.040 get
00:52:31.160 through
00:52:31.380 it
00:52:31.520 and
00:52:31.560 you
00:52:31.640 have
00:52:31.760 fun
00:52:32.140 and
00:52:32.320 it's
00:52:32.860 just
00:52:33.080 this
00:52:33.320 is
00:52:33.480 parenting
00:52:33.880 this
00:52:34.180 is
00:52:34.300 what
00:52:34.440 it
00:52:34.560 is
00:52:34.900 either
00:52:36.900 that
00:52:37.160 or
00:52:37.260 they
00:52:37.360 have
00:52:37.620 kids
00:52:37.980 and
00:52:38.140 I
00:52:38.240 would
00:52:38.400 never
00:52:38.740 want
00:52:39.000 to
00:52:39.140 live
00:52:39.300 in
00:52:39.380 those
00:52:39.540 households
00:52:39.960 can
00:52:41.260 not
00:52:41.360 imagine
00:52:41.640 how
00:52:41.780 miserable
00:52:42.100 it
00:52:42.280 must
00:52:42.400 be
00:52:42.640 those
00:52:43.880 are
00:52:44.000 houses
00:52:44.360 where
00:52:44.640 they
00:52:44.740 don't
00:52:44.900 even
00:52:45.020 have
00:52:45.180 cheese
00:52:45.400 planes
00:52:45.680 anyway
00:52:47.800 tough
00:52:48.520 transition
00:52:48.960 here
00:52:49.240 a couple
00:52:49.840 comments
00:52:50.960 about
00:52:51.400 this
00:52:51.700 the
00:52:52.000 new
00:52:52.180 Indiana
00:52:52.500 Jones
00:52:52.800 movie
00:52:53.140 we put
00:52:53.760 this
00:52:53.920 up
00:52:54.080 on
00:52:54.280 YouTube
00:52:54.860 the
00:52:55.080 clip
00:52:55.340 and
00:52:55.580 read
00:52:57.060 a couple
00:52:57.260 of these
00:52:57.400 comments
00:52:57.620 one comment
00:53:00.260 says
00:53:00.420 I'm a woman
00:53:00.940 and I'm
00:53:01.220 sick
00:53:01.440 of it
00:53:01.700 women
00:53:01.920 don't
00:53:02.180 become
00:53:02.400 stronger
00:53:02.860 but
00:53:03.060 making
00:53:03.300 men
00:53:03.580 weaker
00:53:03.980 snuffing
00:53:04.780 out
00:53:04.940 someone
00:53:05.200 else's
00:53:05.540 candle
00:53:05.980 doesn't
00:53:06.360 make
00:53:06.560 yours
00:53:06.820 shine
00:53:07.180 brighter
00:53:07.580 I guess
00:53:08.800 this is
00:53:09.020 referring
00:53:09.300 to the
00:53:09.620 fact
00:53:09.780 that
00:53:09.880 they're
00:53:10.000 replacing
00:53:10.380 Indiana
00:53:10.720 Jones
00:53:11.160 well
00:53:11.360 Indiana
00:53:11.660 Jones
00:53:11.860 is
00:53:11.980 a
00:53:12.120 doddering
00:53:12.700 old
00:53:12.920 85
00:53:13.280 year
00:53:13.560 old
00:53:13.740 geezer
00:53:14.220 in
00:53:14.460 the
00:53:14.580 film
00:53:14.900 because
00:53:15.840 that's
00:53:16.140 what
00:53:16.720 Harrison
00:53:17.420 Ford
00:53:17.720 is
00:53:17.920 because
00:53:18.060 he's
00:53:18.180 80
00:53:18.340 years
00:53:18.500 old
00:53:18.740 and
00:53:20.460 they're
00:53:21.780 replacing
00:53:22.140 him
00:53:22.320 with
00:53:22.480 his
00:53:22.700 god
00:53:23.980 daughter
00:53:24.380 who's
00:53:25.300 a
00:53:25.660 feminist
00:53:25.940 and
00:53:26.500 is
00:53:27.660 much
00:53:27.940 more
00:53:28.200 competent
00:53:28.640 and
00:53:29.160 he has
00:53:29.600 to rely
00:53:30.020 on her
00:53:30.320 to be
00:53:30.540 bailed
00:53:30.840 out
00:53:31.080 Chris
00:53:32.260 says
00:53:32.500 as a
00:53:32.780 kid
00:53:32.920 I
00:53:33.040 watched
00:53:33.260 a ton
00:53:33.560 of
00:53:33.700 movies
00:53:34.020 as
00:53:34.240 an
00:53:34.360 adult
00:53:34.640 I'm
00:53:34.840 like
00:53:35.020 okay
00:53:35.320 I'm
00:53:35.480 not
00:53:35.640 watching
00:53:35.920 this
00:53:36.100 movie
00:53:36.340 due
00:53:36.700 to
00:53:37.180 its
00:53:37.320 obvious
00:53:37.880 feminist
00:53:39.380 woke
00:53:39.700 agenda
00:53:40.120 and
00:53:41.080 then
00:53:41.200 Wilco
00:53:41.560 made
00:53:41.760 a
00:53:41.880 point
00:53:42.020 that
00:53:42.140 I
00:53:42.200 think
00:53:42.320 is
00:53:42.440 good
00:53:42.600 he
00:53:42.700 says
00:53:42.820 I
00:53:42.920 miss
00:53:43.100 the
00:53:43.220 times
00:53:43.400 when
00:53:43.540 movies
00:53:43.740 had
00:53:43.880 a
00:53:43.980 good
00:53:44.120 storyline
00:53:44.560 and
00:53:44.840 dialogue
00:53:45.240 instead
00:53:45.600 of
00:53:45.760 random
00:53:46.100 CGI
00:53:46.540 effects
00:53:46.940 well
00:53:47.140 yeah
00:53:49.180 there's
00:53:49.480 that
00:53:49.700 but then
00:53:49.980 but then
00:53:50.280 also
00:53:50.540 and maybe
00:53:51.220 it's
00:53:51.380 my
00:53:51.560 imagination
00:53:52.120 it
00:53:53.500 could
00:53:53.700 be
00:53:53.940 but
00:53:55.000 is
00:53:55.620 it
00:53:55.740 just
00:53:55.980 me
00:53:56.220 or
00:53:56.440 are
00:53:56.560 the
00:53:56.720 special
00:53:57.440 effects
00:53:57.740 are
00:53:57.860 actually
00:53:58.060 getting
00:53:58.280 worse
00:53:58.820 in
00:53:59.060 movies
00:53:59.460 maybe
00:54:00.820 it's
00:54:01.000 me
00:54:01.280 being
00:54:01.520 jaded
00:54:01.940 in
00:54:02.120 general
00:54:02.480 but
00:54:02.880 you
00:54:04.420 know
00:54:04.540 movies
00:54:05.200 are
00:54:05.340 becoming
00:54:05.620 more
00:54:05.940 and
00:54:06.060 more
00:54:06.220 reliant
00:54:06.740 on
00:54:06.940 special
00:54:07.260 effects
00:54:07.680 now
00:54:08.680 some
00:54:08.920 of
00:54:08.980 the
00:54:09.080 Marvel
00:54:09.900 movies
00:54:10.300 the
00:54:10.620 entire
00:54:11.220 movie
00:54:11.640 is
00:54:11.840 nothing
00:54:12.160 but
00:54:12.420 green
00:54:12.680 screen
00:54:12.960 you
00:54:13.160 watch
00:54:13.760 it
00:54:13.960 and
00:54:14.160 this
00:54:14.780 whole
00:54:15.020 thing
00:54:15.260 happened
00:54:15.700 in
00:54:15.940 front
00:54:16.060 of
00:54:16.140 a
00:54:16.240 green
00:54:16.420 screen
00:54:16.720 at
00:54:17.320 no
00:54:17.560 point
00:54:17.960 were
00:54:18.140 they
00:54:18.280 outside
00:54:18.840 at
00:54:19.140 all
00:54:19.400 for
00:54:19.580 anything
00:54:19.920 and
00:54:20.880 but
00:54:21.040 it
00:54:21.140 looks
00:54:21.360 worse
00:54:21.760 than
00:54:22.000 it
00:54:22.140 did
00:54:22.460 back
00:54:25.280 20

00:54:27.400 me
00:54:27.560 it
00:54:27.680 does
00:54:27.860 anyway
00:54:28.180 maybe
00:54:28.600 it's
00:54:28.720 because
00:54:28.860 they
00:54:28.980 don't
00:54:29.080 use
00:54:29.220 practical
00:54:29.580 effects
00:54:29.900 anymore
00:54:30.140 it's
00:54:30.320 all
00:54:30.480 CGI
00:54:30.820 but
00:54:31.380 not
00:54:31.680 only
00:54:32.100 are
00:54:32.800 they
00:54:33.160 relying
00:54:34.040 more
00:54:34.260 on
00:54:34.380 CGI
00:54:34.660 but
00:54:35.040 it
00:54:35.580 even
00:54:36.040 looks
00:54:36.280 worse
00:54:36.600 somehow
00:54:37.040 and
00:54:38.460 another
00:54:38.760 comment
00:54:39.040 says
00:54:39.280 the
00:54:39.460 wokeness
00:54:39.920 isn't
00:54:40.140 even
00:54:40.280 the
00:54:40.420 worst
00:54:40.600 part
00:54:40.880 of
00:54:40.980 this
00:54:41.140 one
00:54:41.340 they
00:54:41.480 made
00:54:41.700 Indiana

00:54:44.920 in
00:54:45.520 1984
00:54:46.020 Last
00:54:46.500 Crusade
00:54:46.880 in
00:54:46.980 1989
00:54:47.500 they
00:54:48.160 were
00:54:48.260 great
00:54:48.500 movies
00:54:48.760 and
00:54:48.880 a
00:54:48.960 great

00:54:49.460 then
00:54:50.000 they
00:54:50.120 did

00:54:51.220 20
00:54:51.480 years
00:54:51.680 later
00:54:51.920 with
00:54:52.080 the

00:54:53.900 that
00:54:54.360 movie
00:54:54.540 was
00:54:54.700 so
00:54:54.900 insanely
00:54:55.280 bad
00:54:55.560 that
00:54:55.660 it
00:54:55.780 instantly
00:54:56.080 killed
00:54:56.380 the
00:54:56.500 franchise
00:54:56.780 forever
00:54:57.340 anyone
00:54:58.080 who
00:54:58.260 goes
00:54:58.420 to
00:54:58.540 see
00:54:58.740 subsequent
00:54:59.360 Indiana
00:54:59.860 Jones
00:55:00.080 movies
00:55:00.380 after
00:55:00.620 seeing
00:55:00.840 such a
00:55:01.100 horrifically
00:55:01.360 bad
00:55:01.620 installment
00:55:01.980 deserves
00:55:02.660 to be
00:55:02.900 punished
00:55:03.160 I
00:55:03.400 agree
00:55:03.820 and
00:55:04.300 that's
00:55:04.460 why
00:55:04.600 I
00:55:04.760 said
00:55:05.080 if
00:55:06.340 we
00:55:06.440 want
00:55:06.660 to
00:55:06.760 put
00:55:06.860 a
00:55:06.980 stop
00:55:07.240 to
00:55:07.400 this
00:55:07.560 everybody
00:55:08.060 complains
00:55:09.980 about
00:55:11.060 the
00:55:11.300 crap
00:55:11.720 that
00:55:11.920 Hollywood
00:55:12.280 puts
00:55:14.000 out
00:55:14.320 and
00:55:15.520 that
00:55:15.640 it's
00:55:15.800 lifeless
00:55:16.380 and
00:55:16.580 it
00:55:16.780 only
00:55:17.080 exists
00:55:17.440 to
00:55:17.620 make
00:55:17.800 money
00:55:18.140 movies
00:55:18.920 have
00:55:19.080 always
00:55:19.460 been
00:55:20.900 interested
00:55:21.200 in
00:55:21.340 making
00:55:21.520 money
00:55:21.780 obviously
00:55:22.280 but
00:55:22.780 now
00:55:22.940 that's
00:55:23.200 the
00:55:23.340 only
00:55:23.700 reason
00:55:24.200 this
00:55:24.400 stuff
00:55:24.640 exists
00:55:25.300 they're
00:55:26.040 not even
00:55:26.300 trying to
00:55:26.800 tell an
00:55:27.020 interesting
00:55:27.280 story
00:55:27.620 anymore
00:55:27.880 everyone
00:55:28.700 knows
00:55:29.040 this
00:55:29.360 we
00:55:30.420 talked
00:55:30.620 at the
00:55:30.780 beginning
00:55:30.980 about
00:55:31.260 things
00:55:31.780 that 90%
00:55:32.320 of
00:55:32.420 Americans
00:55:32.740 agree
00:55:32.960 on
00:55:33.120 I
00:55:33.700 think
00:55:33.820 this
00:55:33.940 would
00:55:34.040 be
00:55:34.120 like
00:55:34.340 100%
00:55:35.320 of
00:55:35.500 Americans
00:55:36.040 100
00:55:37.000 Americans
00:55:38.060 would
00:55:38.240 probably
00:55:38.540 agree
00:55:38.880 that
00:55:39.700 Hollywood
00:55:40.180 puts
00:55:40.420 out
00:55:40.640 crap
00:55:40.980 and
00:55:41.120 there's
00:55:41.240 too
00:55:41.340 many
00:55:41.460 sequels
00:55:41.840 and
00:55:41.920 too
00:55:42.000 many
00:55:42.120 remakes
00:55:42.480 and
00:55:42.560 all
00:55:42.640 the
00:55:48.140 you
00:55:49.180 know
00:55:49.260 if
00:55:49.380 you
00:55:49.520 along
00:55:49.800 with
00:55:50.000 tens
00:55:50.380 of
00:55:50.500 millions
00:55:50.640 of
00:55:50.780 people

00:57:12.080 the bun

00:57:13.340 will also
00:57:13.860 be soggy
00:57:14.520 the mayo

00:57:30.360 food
00:57:30.560 will scowl
00:57:31.220 at me
00:57:31.560 because he
00:57:31.960 hates every
00:57:32.400 customer
00:57:32.700 who commits
00:57:33.100 the sin
00:57:33.420 of trying
00:57:33.700 to patronize
00:57:34.300 the establishment
00:57:34.860 where he
00:57:35.200 works
00:57:35.520 he'll also
00:57:36.560 speak
00:57:36.980 in a
00:57:37.680 barely audible
00:57:38.480 mumble
00:57:39.520 so that I
00:57:40.140 have no
00:57:40.440 idea whether
00:57:40.860 he even
00:57:41.120 got my
00:57:41.520 order or
00:57:41.940 not
00:57:42.220 and then
00:57:42.840 when the
00:57:43.040 food
00:57:43.180 comes out
00:57:43.600 it'll be
00:57:43.880 clear that
00:57:44.180 he didn't
00:57:44.480 get the
00:57:44.760 order
00:57:44.940 right
00:57:45.180 but I'll
00:57:45.440 just
00:57:45.620 leave
00:57:46.060 with the
00:57:46.720 wrong
00:57:46.980 order
00:57:47.380 because it's
00:57:48.340 not worth
00:57:48.740 trouble
00:57:49.040 of trying
00:57:49.340 to get
00:57:49.600 a
00:57:49.720 practically
00:57:50.100 catatonic
00:57:51.060 customer
00:57:51.440 service
00:57:51.760 worker
00:57:52.020 to correct
00:57:52.700 the mistake
00:57:53.240 without making
00:57:54.000 additional
00:57:54.520 mistakes
00:57:54.960 on top
00:57:55.380 of it
00:57:55.600 that is
00:57:56.500 the Burger
00:57:56.860 King
00:57:57.020 experience
00:57:57.620 no matter
00:57:57.980 which
00:57:58.240 location
00:57:58.800 you happen
00:57:59.260 to be
00:57:59.480 patronizing
00:58:00.080 and the
00:58:00.980 same
00:58:01.240 goes
00:58:01.720 for
00:58:02.500 Disney's
00:58:03.100 cash grab
00:58:03.760 remakes
00:58:04.320 and for
00:58:05.120 almost
00:58:05.460 everything
00:58:05.860 that Disney
00:58:06.600 produces
00:58:06.960 even if they
00:58:07.600 aren't
00:58:07.800 remakes
00:58:08.160 because after
00:58:08.620 all
00:58:08.900 it's not
00:58:10.140 like Disney
00:58:10.580 only makes
00:58:11.340 remakes
00:58:11.780 they also
00:58:12.380 make sequels
00:58:13.120 and they
00:58:14.400 make sequels
00:58:14.960 to remakes
00:58:15.480 and they
00:58:16.380 make remakes
00:58:16.900 of sequels
00:58:17.420 altogether
00:58:18.480 Disney is
00:58:19.100 the fast
00:58:19.640 food
00:58:19.980 of the
00:58:20.320 cinematic
00:58:20.600 world
00:58:21.040 they churn
00:58:21.940 out the
00:58:22.280 same
00:58:22.540 sludge
00:58:23.060 over
00:58:23.500 and over
00:58:24.160 and over
00:58:24.540 again
00:58:24.780 there is
00:58:25.060 no
00:58:25.260 creativity
00:58:25.800 there is
00:58:26.540 no artistic
00:58:27.080 inspiration
00:58:27.720 nobody
00:58:28.720 involved
00:58:29.460 has any
00:58:30.200 love
00:58:30.860 or interest
00:58:31.700 for
00:58:33.180 or in
00:58:33.840 the
00:58:34.440 projects
00:58:35.120 that they're
00:58:35.620 working on
00:58:36.200 that's the
00:58:36.820 point
00:58:37.040 nobody
00:58:37.800 involved
00:58:38.700 in it
00:58:39.080 actually
00:58:39.840 cares
00:58:40.580 about the
00:58:41.140 story
00:58:41.520 the people
00:58:42.480 involved
00:58:42.880 in the
00:58:43.100 Little Mermaid
00:58:43.540 remake
00:58:44.040 had all
00:58:44.860 the creative
00:58:45.360 passion
00:58:45.880 as the
00:58:47.100 working
00:58:47.620 the guy
00:58:48.260 working
00:58:48.580 the fry
00:58:48.900 machine
00:58:49.240 at the
00:58:49.880 Burger King
00:58:50.300 it's the
00:58:51.060 same
00:58:51.240 kind of
00:58:51.560 thing
00:58:51.840 Disney
00:58:53.400 isn't
00:58:53.780 trying
00:58:54.160 to tell
00:58:54.600 great
00:58:55.280 stories
00:58:55.660 anymore
00:58:56.020 they're
00:58:56.680 just
00:58:56.860 pumping
00:58:57.240 out
00:58:57.500 content
00:58:58.060 for the
00:58:58.980 masses
00:58:59.300 and
00:59:00.440 things
00:59:01.200 for us
00:59:01.520 to
00:59:01.720 mindlessly
00:59:02.280 consume
00:59:02.800 that's
00:59:03.060 all they
00:59:03.300 care
00:59:03.500 about
00:59:03.780 that's
00:59:04.800 how I
00:59:05.120 know
00:59:05.380 the
00:59:05.560 Little
00:59:05.740 Mermaid
00:59:06.000 is bad
00:59:06.460 because
00:59:07.100 there is
00:59:07.400 not one
00:59:07.940 single
00:59:08.340 person
00:59:08.780 involved
00:59:09.460 in the
00:59:09.780 project
00:59:10.200 who cares
00:59:11.320 about
00:59:11.620 making
00:59:11.920 it
00:59:12.100 good
00:59:12.460 I also
00:59:13.800 know
00:59:13.940 it's
00:59:14.060 bad
00:59:14.240 because
00:59:14.480 the reviews
00:59:14.980 say
00:59:15.520 so
00:59:15.800 and it's
00:59:16.580 not that I
00:59:16.960 trust what
00:59:17.400 reviewers say
00:59:18.040 of course
00:59:18.480 it's that I
00:59:18.980 trust what
00:59:19.800 they don't
00:59:20.300 say
00:59:20.560 you can't
00:59:21.820 tell much
00:59:22.140 about a
00:59:22.400 movie by
00:59:22.740 reading what
00:59:23.200 the critics
00:59:23.520 write but
00:59:24.020 you can
00:59:24.320 often tell
00:59:24.980 everything
00:59:25.560 you need
00:59:26.480 to tell
00:59:26.820 by reading
00:59:27.560 what's in
00:59:28.040 between
00:59:28.340 the lines
00:59:28.920 and in
00:59:29.460 this case
00:59:29.820 the reviewers
00:59:30.620 have generally
00:59:31.360 agreed that
00:59:32.440 The Little
00:59:32.700 Mermaid is
00:59:33.320 derivative and
00:59:34.180 pointless and
00:59:34.940 unnecessary and
00:59:35.800 dull and it
00:59:36.780 has dreary
00:59:37.400 animation and
00:59:38.560 some subpar
00:59:39.360 voice acting
00:59:40.000 yet they've
00:59:40.980 given the film
00:59:41.520 high marks
00:59:42.020 anyway based
00:59:43.120 on the
00:59:43.480 sensational
00:59:44.080 performance of
00:59:45.040 the lead
00:59:45.380 actress
00:59:45.800 Halle Bailey
00:59:46.340 the critics
00:59:47.460 they wouldn't
00:59:47.820 dream of
00:59:48.240 outright panning
00:59:49.120 a film starring
00:59:49.760 a black
00:59:50.120 little mermaid
00:59:50.580 they have to
00:59:51.620 find a way to
00:59:52.500 like it otherwise
00:59:53.180 they'll be racist
00:59:54.020 and these are
00:59:55.660 always the most
00:59:56.180 damning reviews
00:59:57.060 not the ones
00:59:58.060 where critics
00:59:58.480 give the film
00:59:59.140 a thumbs down
00:59:59.760 but the ones
01:00:00.840 where they're
01:00:01.640 contorting
01:00:02.660 themselves into
01:00:03.360 all kinds of
01:00:04.120 ungodly shapes
01:00:05.080 in order to
01:00:05.520 find a way to
01:00:06.180 not give it
01:00:06.960 a thumbs down
01:00:07.700 though some
01:00:09.500 critics were
01:00:10.020 more forthright
01:00:10.860 in their
01:00:11.220 criticism
01:00:11.600 the New York
01:00:12.020 Times review
01:00:12.560 from film
01:00:13.180 critic Wesley
01:00:13.800 Morris
01:00:14.160 does praise
01:00:15.080 the movie
01:00:15.440 of course
01:00:15.900 for its
01:00:16.800 diversity
01:00:17.640 and noble
01:00:18.440 intentions
01:00:18.900 but it says
01:00:20.300 that it's
01:00:20.740 missing some
01:00:21.560 things
01:00:21.900 specifically
01:00:22.520 Morris laments
01:00:23.380 that the story
01:00:23.960 lacks
01:00:24.320 joy, fun, mystery
01:00:26.500 risk and flavor
01:00:27.760 and that all
01:00:28.920 makes sense so far
01:00:29.680 the Disney content
01:00:30.440 engine is
01:00:31.200 specifically designed
01:00:32.260 to avoid risk
01:00:33.720 and instead produce
01:00:34.720 fun content
01:00:35.720 that is entirely
01:00:36.580 devoid of fun
01:00:37.480 but Wesley goes
01:00:39.340 further
01:00:40.160 he also says
01:00:41.640 that kink
01:00:42.440 is missing
01:00:43.240 yes
01:00:44.440 Wesley Morris
01:00:45.180 of the New York
01:00:45.540 Times feels
01:00:46.100 deeply wounded
01:00:47.080 that the new
01:00:47.680 Little Mermaid
01:00:48.360 movie is not
01:00:49.240 kinky
01:00:49.740 it apparently
01:00:51.200 does not
01:00:51.640 highlight any
01:00:52.500 deviant sexual
01:00:53.740 practices
01:00:54.280 there are no
01:00:55.280 fetishes put on
01:00:56.140 display or even
01:00:56.860 discussed
01:00:57.300 and Morris
01:00:58.640 is surprised
01:00:59.420 by this I guess
01:01:00.280 those of us
01:01:01.360 who have seen
01:01:02.060 Disney's trajectory
01:01:02.860 in recent years
01:01:03.600 may be sort of
01:01:04.820 surprised by it
01:01:05.480 too but the
01:01:06.000 difference is that
01:01:06.500 we are pleasantly
01:01:07.260 surprised
01:01:07.920 whereas Morris
01:01:09.080 grieves
01:01:09.700 he can't believe
01:01:11.280 he's so sad
01:01:12.100 that there's no
01:01:12.620 kinkiness
01:01:13.240 in Little Mermaid
01:01:14.100 now this criticism
01:01:16.080 is bizarre
01:01:17.000 and gross
01:01:17.560 to say the least
01:01:18.240 and it was
01:01:18.620 originally going
01:01:19.480 to be the actual
01:01:20.220 subject of this
01:01:21.000 cancellation
01:01:21.360 but plans changed
01:01:23.660 when I stumbled
01:01:24.440 upon something else
01:01:25.360 related to the
01:01:26.060 new Little Mermaid
01:01:27.160 apparently
01:01:29.360 Disney did not
01:01:30.940 simply remake
01:01:31.880 their own film
01:01:32.740 shot by shot
01:01:33.520 they did change
01:01:34.300 a few things
01:01:35.040 they made the
01:01:36.020 cast more diverse
01:01:37.000 of course
01:01:37.580 they also added
01:01:38.880 a couple of
01:01:39.380 songs
01:01:39.780 they changed
01:01:41.200 some of the
01:01:41.520 original songs
01:01:42.160 to make them
01:01:42.560 more politically
01:01:43.080 correct and
01:01:43.720 inoffensive to
01:01:44.400 the modern ear
01:01:45.060 but they also
01:01:45.800 added one or
01:01:46.880 two new numbers
01:01:47.640 one of the new
01:01:48.960 numbers is a
01:01:50.560 song performed
01:01:51.320 by the Seagull
01:01:52.200 character voiced
01:01:53.880 by a comedian
01:01:54.500 who goes by the
01:01:55.040 stage name
01:01:55.520 Awkwafina
01:01:56.180 now this song
01:01:57.480 has gone viral
01:01:58.240 over the past
01:01:58.740 couple of days
01:01:59.300 but not for the
01:02:00.220 reasons that
01:02:00.660 Disney would prefer
01:02:01.440 I'm not going to
01:02:02.800 make you listen
01:02:03.440 to very long
01:02:03.860 I can only play
01:02:04.360 a very short
01:02:04.800 snippet of this
01:02:05.420 anything longer
01:02:06.100 will violate
01:02:07.060 copyright laws
01:02:07.820 also probably
01:02:08.400 the Geneva
01:02:09.220 convention
01:02:09.700 but here it is
01:02:11.540 listen
01:02:11.800 hey wake up
01:02:20.660 wake up
01:02:21.060 wake up
01:02:21.660 what
01:02:22.460 hey
01:02:23.320 have you not
01:02:24.060 heard that
01:02:24.420 scat-o-butt
01:02:25.100 your butt
01:02:25.500 no the gossip
01:02:26.460 the buzz
01:02:27.240 the who said
01:02:28.020 what
01:02:28.240 who does
01:02:28.640 that
01:02:28.820 yeah
01:02:29.020 that's
01:02:29.220 scat-o-butt
01:02:30.000 well I was
01:02:30.800 flying over
01:02:31.520 land
01:02:31.900 and seeing
01:02:32.320 ear to the
01:02:33.000 ground
01:02:33.260 then I came
01:02:34.000 flying here
01:02:34.660 for you to
01:02:35.200 see and hear
01:02:35.840 what I found
01:02:36.480 remember the
01:02:37.180 swamp
01:02:37.600 remember my
01:02:38.380 song in the
01:02:38.780 swamp
01:02:39.100 when I was
01:02:39.540 like
01:02:39.660 chicka
01:02:40.440 wham
01:02:40.840 chicka
01:02:41.640 wham
01:02:42.040 I remember
01:02:42.840 well ever
01:02:43.460 since
01:02:44.000 the what's
01:02:44.700 his name
01:02:45.020 the guy
01:02:45.440 with the
01:02:45.800 hair
01:02:46.040 and the
01:02:46.340 shirt
01:02:46.620 the prince
01:02:47.140 yeah the
01:02:47.580 prince
01:02:47.980 has been
01:02:48.620 dropping
01:02:48.960 hints
01:02:49.320 he wants
01:02:49.880 to
01:02:50.040 you know
01:02:50.660 when humans
01:02:51.200 dress up
01:02:51.640 nice like
01:02:52.040 they're
01:02:52.240 penguins
01:02:52.700 in some ways
01:02:54.380 this is an
01:02:55.140 appropriate song
01:02:56.020 for the
01:02:56.400 little mermaid
01:02:56.800 because listening
01:02:57.520 to it makes me
01:02:58.200 want to throw
01:02:58.840 myself into
01:02:59.560 the sea
01:03:00.000 words
01:03:01.280 cannot capture
01:03:02.680 just how
01:03:03.120 terrible it
01:03:03.580 is if I
01:03:04.020 heard this
01:03:04.420 song
01:03:04.800 and then over
01:03:06.040 the next 12
01:03:06.640 hours my
01:03:07.260 house burned
01:03:07.800 down and I
01:03:08.800 lost my job
01:03:09.600 and I was
01:03:10.160 diagnosed with
01:03:10.720 a terminal
01:03:11.080 illness
01:03:11.540 the song would
01:03:13.120 still be the
01:03:13.640 worst thing that
01:03:14.120 happened to me
01:03:14.580 that day
01:03:15.000 if I had a
01:03:16.140 time machine
01:03:16.720 I would go
01:03:17.400 back in time
01:03:18.320 and kill the
01:03:19.460 person who
01:03:19.900 invented music
01:03:20.660 before they
01:03:21.280 could invent it
01:03:22.020 just to
01:03:22.420 prevent this
01:03:22.920 song from
01:03:23.460 being made
01:03:23.920 it would be
01:03:24.900 better to
01:03:25.320 erase music
01:03:26.520 from human
01:03:27.360 history
01:03:27.780 altogether
01:03:28.480 than to
01:03:29.640 allow this
01:03:30.260 song to
01:03:30.740 exist
01:03:31.200 this song
01:03:32.960 you know
01:03:33.120 what it
01:03:33.260 sounds like
01:03:33.500 it sounds
01:03:33.960 like what
01:03:34.400 might happen
01:03:35.100 if you put
01:03:35.460 a group
01:03:35.860 of deaf
01:03:36.400 schizophrenics
01:03:37.180 into a
01:03:37.560 room with
01:03:37.960 a keyboard
01:03:38.480 and a bunch
01:03:38.880 of pots
01:03:39.260 and pans
01:03:39.840 and recorded
01:03:41.200 the random
01:03:41.700 noises that
01:03:42.360 they produced
01:03:42.960 and what
01:03:44.140 makes this
01:03:44.520 so especially
01:03:45.160 sinister
01:03:45.660 is that
01:03:46.300 little kids
01:03:47.560 will watch
01:03:48.000 this movie
01:03:48.480 and the
01:03:49.560 intelligent
01:03:49.980 children with
01:03:50.520 good taste
01:03:51.100 will hear that
01:03:51.880 song and
01:03:52.440 they will
01:03:52.720 cry and
01:03:53.400 they will
01:03:53.580 turn to
01:03:53.920 their parents
01:03:54.340 and say
01:03:54.680 why is this
01:03:55.580 happening mommy
01:03:56.280 please make
01:03:57.060 the bad
01:03:57.440 sounds go
01:03:58.060 away
01:03:58.380 but the
01:03:59.300 less discerning
01:03:59.920 children might
01:04:00.620 like the
01:04:01.180 song and
01:04:02.180 then they'll
01:04:02.640 spend the
01:04:03.060 next seven
01:04:03.600 months listening
01:04:04.240 to it on
01:04:04.840 repeat as
01:04:06.180 their parents
01:04:06.740 slowly go
01:04:07.380 insane
01:04:07.860 there will be
01:04:09.320 parents who
01:04:09.820 play this
01:04:10.480 song in the
01:04:11.320 car in order
01:04:12.580 to satisfy
01:04:13.200 their whiny
01:04:13.740 kids which
01:04:14.820 will create
01:04:15.220 extremely unsafe
01:04:16.260 road conditions
01:04:16.960 I mean texting
01:04:18.640 while driving
01:04:19.260 is dangerous
01:04:19.840 driving under
01:04:20.880 the influence
01:04:21.360 is even more
01:04:21.820 dangerous
01:04:22.120 but most
01:04:23.620 dangerous of
01:04:24.120 all is to
01:04:24.600 subject yourself
01:04:25.260 to psychological
01:04:26.000 torture while
01:04:27.120 trying to drive
01:04:27.780 a minivan full
01:04:28.560 of kids down
01:04:29.180 the highway
01:04:29.580 that's what's
01:04:30.800 going to happen
01:04:31.220 now
01:04:31.480 what I'm trying
01:04:32.920 to say is that
01:04:33.660 I don't like
01:04:34.400 the song
01:04:34.760 and the most
01:04:35.900 damning thing I
01:04:36.600 can say about
01:04:37.200 it is that it
01:04:37.780 perfectly represents
01:04:39.000 the modern
01:04:39.580 Disney
01:04:39.960 when people
01:04:41.340 utterly bereft of
01:04:42.580 creative skill
01:04:43.260 try to create
01:04:44.060 something of
01:04:44.720 their own
01:04:45.240 this is what
01:04:46.660 you end up
01:04:47.200 with
01:04:47.460 it's like
01:04:48.840 if one of
01:04:49.380 the to go
01:04:49.800 back to the
01:04:50.160 Burger King
01:04:50.480 analogy
01:04:50.740 it's like
01:04:51.300 if one of
01:04:51.540 the teenage
01:04:51.940 fry cooks
01:04:52.460 at Burger King
01:04:52.940 actually tried
01:04:53.820 to make a
01:04:54.260 unique dish
01:04:55.040 using the
01:04:55.820 ingredients
01:04:56.260 available in
01:04:56.860 the kitchen
01:04:57.220 you'd end up
01:04:58.840 with some
01:04:59.180 ungodly
01:04:59.960 abomination
01:05:00.520 that makes
01:05:01.000 the soggy
01:05:01.580 whopper
01:05:01.980 look edible
01:05:02.540 by comparison
01:05:03.360 so there's
01:05:05.360 a reason
01:05:05.940 these companies
01:05:06.620 just stick
01:05:07.220 to the formula
01:05:07.900 all they have
01:05:09.280 is the formula
01:05:10.020 they don't have
01:05:11.140 the ability
01:05:11.760 to do anything
01:05:12.380 different or
01:05:13.020 interesting
01:05:13.580 Disney is
01:05:15.180 chased all
01:05:15.680 the real
01:05:16.080 artistic
01:05:16.460 talents
01:05:16.880 away
01:05:17.180 they're
01:05:18.180 left with
01:05:18.540 a woman
01:05:18.940 who borrows
01:05:20.080 her stage
01:05:20.780 name from
01:05:21.240 a bottled
01:05:21.780 water company
01:05:22.560 and this is
01:05:24.560 what you get
01:05:25.020 from her
01:05:25.460 there are
01:05:27.420 creative people
01:05:28.060 left in the
01:05:28.460 world
01:05:28.640 there are
01:05:29.100 artists out
01:05:29.620 there who
01:05:29.960 make great
01:05:30.480 films
01:05:30.960 make beautiful
01:05:32.240 music
01:05:32.800 other forms
01:05:34.400 of art
01:05:34.720 they do
01:05:35.300 exist
01:05:35.700 good art
01:05:36.660 still exists
01:05:37.780 it's just
01:05:39.020 that you're
01:05:39.460 not going to
01:05:39.760 get it
01:05:40.020 from Disney
01:05:40.660 and that is
01:05:42.060 why Disney
01:05:42.800 is in the
01:05:43.880 end
01:05:44.120 once again
01:05:45.080 cancelled
01:05:46.120 that'll do it
01:05:47.360 for this
01:05:47.560 Porsche shows
